Es un remaster de un bello clásico de PlayStation 1 que combina elementos de plataformeo, resolución de puzzles por medio de encargos y tiene algunos toques de RPG. Su historia es muy entretenida, tiene un apartado artístico muy bonito, una buena banda sonora y, en general, es una aventura accesible pero con momentos un poco desafiantes. Debido a que toda la historia avanza a medida que finalizas los encargos y muchos de estos no son precisamente muy intuitivos, aunque esto es bueno para aquellos que disfrutan de los juegos de exploración y de mucho backtracking.

Siento que pudieron pulir más la cámara, que a veces te deja muy vendido en ciertos saltos, y también hay varias pantallas de carga un poco largas, pero la calidad del juego y sus mejoras de vida lo convierten en un título retro muy recomendable.

Unable to 100% the game as it seems even buggier than the original, not being able to reset the internal PS1 to get it to recognize events as being complete makes it unfinishable.

Yes, i did try to follow guides but they all say the events i'm looking at should have triggered or finished.

Kind of a half-assed emulation. I am biased, because I have been playing this game for nearly 30 years. Recommended for the nostalgia, but not the effort put forth in this rerelease.

Es uno de los juegos de mi infancia y le tengo un cariño infinito, pero no puedo recomendar esta versión a precio completo.

Hay algunos bugs en el juego:
- las cinemáticas se repiten,
- el audio de la banda sonora remasterizada se superpone al morir o guardar,
- si rebobinas no responde el pad, solo los joysticks,
- a veces tras guardar no te devuelve al juego,
- no se guardan los ajustes tras cerrar el juego.

Son pequeñas cosas que no afectan mucho a la experiencia del juego, pero molestan más cuando te cobran 20 euros por un juego que salió hace casi 30 años.
El juego es el original de PS1, no han tocado nada menos la banda sonora (que creo que no le hace justicia a la original, pero eso es más opinión personal). Aparte de eso, lo único nuevo es el museo.

Personalmente os recomiendo mucho Tombi, es una pequeña joya de PS1; pero yo esperaría a alguna oferta. El precio que tiene es abusivo e injustificado.

8/10: Tomba! is a delightful anime-inspired platformer from the PS1 era featuring the titular pink-hair Tomba saving the land from the curses of the seven evil pigs. Run, jump, and throw enemies around on a quest to get back grandpa's golden bracelet.

Tomba is a simple guy, some might even say primitive. As he's chasing down some wild boar, a cabal of 7 evil pigs shows up and steals the golden bracelet he got from his grandpa, giving our main character all the motivation he needs to start this adventure and restore the land that these evil pigs have covered in curses. As you meet the Old Wise Men and befriend the natives, you'll have to find the containment bag for each corresponding pig in order to seal them away and dispel their curses before you can reach their treasure hoard and get back that bracelet.

There's a cuteness to Tomba, from the portly pig minions to the colorful environments, which grants the game a charm that works even with the PS1 era graphics. The combat is straightforward, stunning enemies with your blackjack and boomerangs or, more often, leaping onto foes to throw them into the nearest solid object. This lighthearted combat combines with exploration and platforming to create a pleasant, low-stakes adventure, as you traverse zones like the Mushroom Forest or the Haunted Mansion.

There are some elements of a metroidvania to Tomba!, as several zones and chests are locked in ways that require later abilities to unlock, such as swimming and diving or being able to using a grappling hook. Most of the missions that don't involve defeating the evil pigs consist of finding a particular items and bringing them to the quest-givers, either for a reward or the ability to progress. However, occasionally missions (or Events as the game calls them) are unclear about who to talk to or where to go to complete them, such as needing to pick up a torch from the dwarf at the center of town or to max out the colored experience bars in order to pick up the elemental gems. This is the main thing that can pad the games playtime, as Tomba! can be finished in a dozen hours if you know what you are doing, but what friction would be caused by needing to revisit areas to find or deliver items is smoothed out by the use of Charity Wings and, later on, a friend that joins you on your journey, so it's all good in the end.

Ultimately, Tomba! is a colorful, light-hearted platformer with an early 90's anime style and all the fun and some of the flaws that come from being from the PS1 era. Great for the nostalgia and those looking for a simple platformer to enjoy. Plus, the Special Edition on Steam adds a rewind option in case you start getting frustrated by certain platforming sections, so it's approachable for players of any challenge level. Now get out there and show those evil pigs what they get for stealing your grandpa's bracelet!

[A personal note: I played this game back in the 90's at my friend Johnny's house. He was one of my best friends, especially back in elementary school before they started dividing kids schedules up in middle and high school by the level of classes they were able to take. I'd play games like Tomba! or Spyro at his house, but he never had a save card for his PS1 so we always had to restart the games from the beginning after we turned off the console. It was always fun but back then we were never able to finish the game, leaving us plateaued at whatever area we could manage to 'speed-run' to that day. By 2005-2010 his parents had divorced, after which he eventually moved somewhere west and joined one of those Christian sects that are fundamentalist and function like a cult. I haven't seen or heard from Johnny in a long time but sometimes me and the other guys will reminisce around the fire pit about our times with him, or as they tended to call him, Bubba.]

juego de 9 , juegos asi ya no se hacen , guia ninguna recomiendo mirar youtube aunque algunas cosas son intuitivas o tras no tanto plataformas lateral con elementos rpg , metrovania ..

lo unica pega como remaster no mejora ninguna aunque por otro lado es genial esos pixeles ps1 , pero hay otros juegos como tomb raider las dos recopilaciones , gods , another word ....... con leves graficos renovados que con un boton cambias de graficos nuevos y viejos hubiera esta genial algo asi aqui, crash bandicoot , spiro ya remake remaster de altura

This is a great game but this is a mediocre port. Buttons are mislabeled, sometimes buttons are labeled like Xbox, other times incorrectly labeled as Nintendo's layout. The load times are absurd. These are the same load times the original version had, with even SATA speeds they should be nion-existent. The rewind and save anywhere are nice features if you're struggling with the platforming.

One of the best must play PS1/PSX games

I love Tomba 1 & 2 and both games are must play ps1 games (Tomba 2 is in my top 10 PS1 games of all time list)

Game is great, its a port so it has nothin new and obv has all the good and the few bad things from the OG PS1 game

+ Super fun and cute
+ Nice side chars
+ Great levels and locations
+ Lots of events/secrets
+ Sequel is also on steam and boy oh boy is it 10x better then this one! (no worries Tomba 1 is still amazing!)
+ Many bosses with their own stages and "abilities"
- Every boss is defeated by throwing them into the bag (sequel did it a bit better as its trickier and u have to do it more then once)
+ Game is ~long (I'd say 1st play would take 15-20h if u use a guide when u get super stuck. As someone who beat it and remember most parts I was able to 100% it in ~12h but it can be done faster if you take the most optimal routes and similar)
+- Since its a port with nothing new (except gallery and ability to save/rewind time) I'd say the base price is a bit high even tho the game is amazing and deserves every cent
- Like in the OG game, some events/parts of the game are very unclear on what they want you to do, u'll either look at a guide or waste time revisting and talkin w everyone on the map (can get backtracky lategame but lets face it even the best RPG and Metroidvanias Today can have the same "problem")
Two things I wish they actually updated before releasing on Steam (altho I do get its just a port and not a remake/remaster)
- Loading times are same as on PS1, its not 2 slow but its like I'm actually playing on PS1 and not on a gaming PC w SSD (not a big deal but cmon)
- Two events can be totally missed/ruined early on, first if u break a spiky barrel in the super early area u won't be able to get all events, 2nd is if u turn the forest and jungle back 2 normal before getting all leaf butterflies (24-25 in forest and 4 in jungle)

Anyhow a must buy (if unsure get it on sale) and here's to hoping we all get a wonderful surprise and see a Tomba 3 announcement in the future

We rly had it good in the ps1/ps2 era, ppl made games of really almost any idea in a good way (ok not everything was obv good but there was a ton of variety). Today we might have unreal graphics but 70% of the industry is focused on remakes or "safe clones", while the other 30% is doing something new or sequels.. Don't get me wrong remakes are great but I'd much rather we had ~20% remakes and 80% games that are new things and sequels :|

I mean look at this, its like someone said "lets make an adventure game where the MC is like a "normal human" kid Songoku like character with pink hair and after pigs steal the bracelet he got from his grandpa he goes on to get it back only to end up in an adventure having to fight 7 evil pigs who will ruin the land if not stopped" and honestly it worked cos they made it and game is amazing!

Uno dei giochi che ha accompagnato quei pomeriggi d'infanzia portandomi per la prima volta a voler completare un gioco al 100%. All'epoca pareva durasse 50 ore al pari di un final fantasy ma ora mi rendo conto che non è cosi. Per lo standard moderno è comunque invecchiato bene rispetto al secondo quindi almeno a questo date un'occasione se non lo conoscete, se riuscite a supportare l'acquisto di entrambi sarebbe meglio che ora come ora, meglio 1000 remastered di queste che 1 solo gioco fatto dall'IA
