I played it without VR, using a Keyboard and Mouse. It felt a little strange at first, but I got used to it quickly. Tin Hearts is a hidden gem. It’s beautifully crafted, the level design is cute and charming, the puzzles aren’t too challenging but still encourage you to think ahead and make plans, new tools and mechanics are introduced at just the right time in a very pleasant way and there’s always something to do, discover or try out. The pleasant music creeps into your ears and stays there without becoming annoying. And last but not least, it’s a touching story. When I wrote the review, I had just finished Chapter 1, but I was already hooked

A carefully crafted game, and you can feel it. It pushed my brain to its limits, but I didn't give in by using external solutions. Everything about this game is beautiful: from level design to story. There are a few bugs, especially when you overuse rewind, and the camera can be a bit annoying at times, particularly around cannons and windmills, but otherwise, I had a fantastic time.

This game is much more fun then I expected.
(I'm only two hours in, just discovered cannon control and can only speak for so far.)

Firstly, really great setting, I love playing games where you're "toy-sized".
Visuals are stunning as well, without being demanding.
The rooms/environments look really great, they feel alive and have a lot of character.
It shows that it was made with alot of attention to detail.
Gameplay at surface appear to be a bit simple, but actually is engaging, interesting and slowly but steadily throws you more challenges, and tools at you to solve them with.

I played normally (non-VR), have no remarks about that.
Used a controller, no complaints about that either.

vr操作十分反人类，双遥感都是移动，按A键转向。全程语音没有字幕就算了，中后期开始bug频发，常表现为可交互道具无反应，走远了再交互才有反应。解密设计纯粹是为了“复用性”为主旨的，安全没考虑解密引导。导致后期长长花大量时间来对电波，你知道vr罚站有多痛苦吗。

Don't make a non-vr version and then disallow REAL gamers from using the mouse cursor. This wonky, slow, cumbersome method of moving objects around is the digital version of root canal for mouse and keyboard gamers.

Unfortunately this is a big thumbs down for me. I do not have VR and this game is close to unplayable with a controller or K/M. The character moves around WAY too slow and the game gets really fiddly with your block placement on puzzles.

If the game was top down 2D or maybe just swapped between a couple of views, it might work. But that's the real problem. The puzzles are super easy, you're fighting the camera and jank of the game, not using your brain power on the puzzles.

Could have been an excellent game.

3D VR Lemmings. Gorgeous, ingenious, delightful..... if you can get it to work in VR. I think it needs some bug fixing with the latest hardware everyone is using. I was on a Quest 3 with a decent spec PC. It took multiple attempts to launch the game in various different methods to get it to work in VR. Then when I did it crashed a couple of times during play... but overall it was worth it. Recommended.

This is a neutral review.
Tin Hearts looks and sounds amazing in VR steadily maintaining cozy atmosphere, but it's way too slow even by pretty low puzzler standards.

Some of the later levels are too big for their own good: even with fast forward button it takes a lot of time for toy soldiers to march through them and even more - for player to teleport back and forth moving around the pieces. I gave up in the 3rd act after just looking at a giant room filled with 3 vertical layers of gizmos. It just felt more like a chore than fun. But, to the game's credit, it happened after 5 hour mark - most of other VR puzzles would be over by that time.

TLDR: Ignore the cliché story and work the puzzles and you will LOVE this game on multiple levels.

Tin Hearts is a brilliant puzzle title that calls back to the days of Lemmings but adds so much to the genre (if we can claim that exists). The 3D element alone would have been sufficient to laud this title and I am certain it is amazing in VR.

But there is so much more as well! The interface allows the player to have direct control over elements of the environment, which grows in complexity as the game progresses. This is integral to the puzzles in many, sometimes subtle ways. Though not always ;)

The player can not only act as themselves, they can often take direct control of a unit to perform unique actions critical to the solution of certain puzzles.

The soundtrack, story, lore, and clues are beautifully interwoven into each scene. And let me circle back to that soundtrack because it is absolutely beautiful and fitting.

I cannot say enough good things about this game! If you like environmental puzzle gaming, this is a great find!

Downsides (and it hurts me to share them):
1. The introduction of story elements creates levels so large that in many cases the makers do not take advantage of them. (The old Open World problem. Very minor)
2. Depth perception is a REAL problem and it ruins the platforming elements. Fortunately, these are rare enough to be forgiven.
3. Minor spoilers ahead. Skip if you don't care about story and themes.

I love a good story. And I accept and even enjoy that a game like this, that has ZERO need for one, goes so far as to include a rich tale. Sadly, to no direct fault of the makers, the game stumbles with the modern crutch of storytelling. 15 years ago this story would have been groundbreaking! And if you are new to gaming/storytelling, I pray you get from it what I should have! But this game came out in 2023, The days of inserting negative themes just to avoid a "fairy tale ending" are gone. We needed them for a while and will again, surely. But there is a middle-ground and... we've been through some dark years (globally, not to take away from ANY who are still living it).

Death and denial are not the only sources of non-violent conflict.
Loss is not the only motivator.
Bittersweet is not the only flavour.

Before the Cough of Death ever reared its face, this story had all the elements of Love, Ambition, and Need in place to tell an amazing (and better) tale.

This game is beautiful! From the details in the art to the music to the story. There is not a single thing I would change in this game. It is perfect as a puzzle game with a heartfelt story. After 16.3 hours of playing this game I have to say... boy was it challenging. Fun but challenging

There is no mixed review option but if I have to really sit on it and think on it. I would say: "Yes. But exercise caution"

Tin Hearts is a lemmings type puzzle that pits you and your group of soldiers getting from point A to point B in elaborate and sometimes head scratching puzzles.

The story is nothing to write home about as it's essentially: "A family man who gets engrossed with his work so much so that life events happened and he hides his grief behind his work until he realizes that his family is so important to him" type of story. There are some "feels" moments but overall it's nothing to write home about.

The gameplay portion is what I want to focus on and why I exercise caution. The puzzles start out simple enough and then at some point the game takes a hard left turn and the puzzles become more extravagant and sometimes arrogant right up until the end. The basement levels are by far the worse

This all basically boils down to: Intuitive design. Why can't I just teleport or walk faster? Why do I have to be so up close to the puzzle to even reach for it when using the zoom in function? Why are you giving me mechanics and obstacles that hopscotch in appearance per level? Keep it consistent and to the point. And the game sadly didn't do that.

Overall if you are willing to methodically take your time with this game. Then I say go for it. But be aware of softlocks, and technical issues with the camera and stuff

Fun lemming's-like puzzle game that, unlike some other VR puzzle games, is of decent length. Graphics quality is outstanding, and the tin soldiers are so detailed and lifelike. You're bound to get sucked into the environment through the story, of which the ending is among the best I've experienced in any game.

It's well worth the original $20 price that I paid for it, but right now it's part of the summer event listed as $12, which is a steal for this game!

Das Spiel ist es richtig Wert, super Gestaltet, Grafik, Sound ist super. Die Story ist hervorragend geworden. In VR lässt es sich sehr gut Spielen auch wenn die Steuerung am Anfang sehr kompliziert erscheint gewöhnt man sich recht schnell dran und da man so viele Funktionen benötigt wüsste ich auch nicht wie wann sie noch besser machen könnte, sehr gut Gelöst. In Flat mit Tastatur und Maus ist es auch schön zu Spielen und gut Gelöst mit den vielen Funktionen. Mein Favorit ist ganz klar in VR zu Spielen es kommt viel beeindruckender von der Atmosphäre rüber und die Steuerung ist entspanter. Tolles Spiel

Kurz gesagt ist es ein Lemming-Spiel.

Tin Hearts ist ein Puzzlespiel. Für alle die Lemmings und seine vielen Klone kennen, ist das Grundprinzip schnell klar.
Das Ziel des Spiels besteht darin, die kleinen Zinnsoldaten zum rettenden Ausgang zu lotsen. Indem man geschickt Hindernisse und ähnliches in den Weg der Soldaten platziert finden die Figuren dann ihren Weg.

Es gibt zwei Turorials, ein kurzes und ein längeres. Wobei sich die Länge an der Erfahrung es Spielers mit dem Genre orientiert. In den immer größeren Spielumgebungen können wir uns frei oder per Teleportation bewegen. Drehungen sind in der Grundeinstellung auf die B-Knöpfe gelegt, etwas ungewöhnlich, das liegt aber wohl an der Herkunft des Spiels. Das Menü bietet aber viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, die aber leider nur zu Beginn aufgerufen werden können. Im Spiel gibt es keinen Zugang zum Menü.

Die Grafik ist trotz der Herkunft wirklich schön, ein realistischer Comicstil der ganz gut zu dem Szenario und der Story, die erzählt wird passt. Jeder der Räume, die sich in einer Spielzeugfabrik befinden, wird schön in Szene gesetzt. Der Sound ist ebenso gelungen.

Die niedliche Optik täuscht über den doch leicht erhöhten Schwierigkeitsgrad von Tin Hearts hinweg, Hirnschmalz ist hier und d gefragt. Das Spiel hat außer dem Tutorial keine Hilfestellung, man muss den Umgang mit allen zur Verfügung stehenden Objekten durch Ausprobieren erlernen. Wie die guten alten Lemminge haben die Spielzeugsoldaten auch kein Gespür für Gefahren und laufen immer geradewegs in ihr Unglück, sofern wir es nicht abwenden.
Denn für jedes Rätsel also Level gibt es nur eine Lösung, glücklicherweise haben wir aber kein Zeitlimit, und können ohne Druck nach der Lösung suchen. Ein besonderes Gimick ist sogar die Möglichkeit, dass wir die Zeit anhalten, zurückspulen oder beschleunigen können.

Die Möglichkeit die Zeit zu manipulieren soll wohl auch die Schwierigkeitskurve von Tin Hearts etwas absenken und gleichzeitig eine Möglichkeit sein die Zeit des Spiels zu verkürzen, wenn die Lösung also der Weg soweit fertig gestellt ist. Zu der Zeitmanipulation haben wir aber auch noch verschiedene weitere Objekte als Elemente im Spiel, die eine genaue Planung der Züge erfordert. Es gibt im Verlauf des Spiels Trommeln als Trampoline, Kanonen zur Beseitigung gefährlicher Hindernisse, Ballons, um die Spielzeugsoldaten über Abgründe zu fliegen und vieles mehr.

Die Steuerung ist leider etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber in vielen Bereichen auch nach eigenem Geschmack im Menü einstellbar. Leider greift Tin Heart nicht auf bewährte Controllersteuerungen zurück, sondern bastelt lieber seine eigene. Das kann aber auch daran liegen, dass das Spiel ein PSVR-Port ist. Nichts desto trotz lässt sich Tin Hearts gut steuern, auch wenn es manchmal etwas frustet und das eigentliche gechillte Spielgefühl etwas schmälert. Das Spielerlebnis ist komplex und dennoch herausfordernd und unterhaltend zugleich.

Tin Hearts ist ein toller Lemming-Klone mit Zinnsoldaten. An der Steuerung und der Bewegung hätte allerdings noch etwas mehr gearbeitet werden können.

In short, it's a lemming game.

Tin Hearts is a puzzle game. For anyone who knows Lemmings and its many clones, the basic principle is quickly clear.
The aim of the game is to guide the little tin soldiers to the exit that will save them. By skillfully placing obstacles and the like in the path of the soldiers, the figures then find their way.

There are two tutorials, a short one and a longer one. The length depends on the player's experience with the genre. We can move freely or via teleportation in the increasingly large game environments. Turns are assigned to the B-buttons in the default setting, which is somewhat unusual, but this is probably due to the origin of the game. However, the menu offers many setting options, which unfortunately can only be accessed at the beginning. There is no access to the menu in the game.

The graphics are really nice despite the origin, a realistic comic style that fits the scenario and the story that is being told quite well. Each of the rooms, which are located in a toy factory, is beautifully staged. The sound is equally successful.

The cute visuals disguise the slightly higher level of difficulty of Tin Hearts; brainpower is required here and there. Apart from the tutorial, the game has no help; you have to learn how to use all the available objects by trial and error. Like the good old lemmings, the toy soldiers have no sense of danger and always run straight into their misfortune unless we avert it.
There is only one solution for each puzzle or level, but fortunately we have no time limit and can search for the solution without pressure. A special gimmick is that we can even stop, rewind or speed up time.

The ability to manipulate time is probably also intended to lower the difficulty curve of Tin Hearts a little and at the same time be a way to shorten the time of the game once the solution has been completed. In addition to the time manipulation, we also have various other objects as elements in the game that require precise planning of the moves. In the course of the game, there are drums as trampolines, cannons to remove dangerous obstacles, balloons to fly the toy soldiers over chasms and much more.

Unfortunately, the controls take some getting used to, but can also be adjusted to your own taste in the menu in many areas. Unfortunately, Tin Heart does not use tried and tested controller controls, preferring instead to create its own. However, this may also be due to the fact that the game is a PSVR port. Nevertheless, Tin Hearts is easy to control, even if it can be a little frustrating at times and detracts from the actual chilled-out feel of the game. The gaming experience is complex yet challenging and entertaining at the same time.

Tin Hearts is a great lemming clone with tin soldiers. However, some work should have been done on the controls and movement.

The puzzles are really good too. Some will really challenge you, but there are hints available. This has turned out to be one of my favorites.

After a delay of a couple of months, they fixed the bug in level 50, and it's possible to finish the game again.

Tin Hearts is a puzzle game along the line of Lemmings. In each level, you guide a line of marching toy soldiers to the exit. You have to move various parts such as blocks and drums (which act as trampolines) around until they can reach their destination.

There's also some light platforming. About midway through the game you gain the ability to possess one of the soldiers and control it directly. In puzzles where this is an option, you need to send this scout ahead to perform various actions that the regular soldiers won't do on their own. Usually this involves a bit of jumping and following paths that the regular soldiers won't.

Each level is a Rube Goldberg machine, often with a number of ridiculous things happening. The early levels are very simple. For example, the blocks in the first few puzzles can only be placed on specific locations, which is very restrictive and makes the puzzles trivial.

After a bit of that, though, you get blocks that can be placed pretty much anywhere, and that's the least of the things you end up doing. Eventually the game takes a decidedly steampunk bent, with all sorts of fantastic steam-powered machines and pneumatic tube systems to send the soldiers around the increasingly large and more complex puzzles.

One of the abilities you get early is the ability to pause time or rewind it, which is essential to finishing the game since otherwise there's a lot of time sensitive actions. Usually you have a limited number of pieces, and you have to re-use pieces from earlier in the puzzle.

Eventually the puzzles get difficult enough that most of them have some sort of "aha" moment where you find a way past something that initially looks impossible. The game has a hint system, but it foolishly penalizes you by forbidding achievements if you use it too much. It's like the designers *want* the player to look up YouTube videoes instead of staying in the game.

It's really amazing looking in VR. The environments are complex and the art very well done with few exceptions. The soldiers in particular are really fantastic, with elaborate animations for everything they do, from climbing to jumping to riding balloons. The only weak point in the art is the humans, who look cartoonish at best, and sometimes downright creepy because of the eyes.

Which brings me to the only part I didn't like about the game. The story. It's a rather banal, uninteresting story of pointless tragedy, and the cutscenes detailing this sometimes go on far, far too long. Particularly the epilogue after you finish the last, 3-part puzzle.

Regardless, it's still an excellent game, particularly if you have a VR headset. I played using Index controllers, and I gather it works well enough with Quest controllers, but I don't know how well it plays with Vive wands. It felt like the joysticks were really essential.

This is a lovely game to play. It's a cozy Lemmings-type narrative-driven puzzle game. The game looks absolutely beautiful and is a joy to visit in VR. You can tell just from playing it that the developers had VR first and foremost in their hearts, even if they originally released the game without VR support.

This game is perfect for those new to VR and casual / puzzle beginners. Honestly, you're almost sad to solve the puzzle and leave the toy maker's room that you want to play in with all the toys strewn about. You wish you could go toy eye-level and get to walk around and enjoy all the sights and toys available. The puzzles start off pretty easy and there is a slow but steady difficulty curve where you are taught new game mechanics.

However, all is not perfect. This game has button turning instead of joystick turning (right joystick is default in most video games for a good reason). This is a really bad development decision. I hope the developers add right joystick turning and allow you to change the default button configuration.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room now: Humanity VR. Yes, Humanity VR is probably the best VR puzzle game out there (it's definitely the best Lemmings type puzzle game ever for VR and non-VR). However, I think I prefer Tin Hearts. While the puzzles aren't as challenging or as have the ingenuity of Humanity, it's just cozier to play this game. The visuals and environmental story telling are much better here. The narrated cut scenes are way better. In the end, these are two very different games intended for two very different audiences. Humanity is perfect for puzzle veterans / pros, while Tin Hearts is perfect for casuals / cozy gamers.

Tin Hearts is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 72 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs, however, I did have a bug where the left joystick stopped working with locomotion and where I temporarily could not pick up a puzzle piece (for a few seconds). You have teleportation and full locomotion available, along with smooth or snap turning. You can play comfortably seated as you a button elevation and magnet hands.

For about $15 this game is beyond awesome. I waited since 2018 for this, I'm going play the game now - and if you like VR puzzle games I'll suggest you do the same :-)

Btw, the game supports OpenXR - it should perform great using just Link for Meta hmds. Just make sure the Oculus Desktop app handles OpenXR instead of Steam.

What could have been a delightfully magical experience is ruined by infuriatingly clunky and unintuitive controls. It feels like a VR game poorly adapted to flatscreen. Also, the newer trailer videos focused on the tin soldiers is very misleading: it's possible to focus your camera on specific soldiers, but there's no point to doing so, nor can you (as is implied in the trailers) directly control the soldiers themselves. This is a pure Lemmings game in 3D, which is fine so long as it's presented as such in its advertisement.

L'histoire m'a vraiment pris par surprise, plus travaillée et touchante que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Les puzzles se renouvellent tout au long de l'aventure avec tout un tas de mécanismes et d'objets interactifs qui rendent ce jeu plus "fun" que d'autres jeux de puzzles. Tout n'est pas parfaitement maîtrisé, il y a quelques bugs par ci par là et la mécanique de déplacer tout un tas d'objets peut être un peu pénible par moment, mais pour ma part, rien qui n'ai vraiment gâché le plaisir de jeu.

Why are there just so few people playing this game? Seriously, Tin Hearts is a hidden gem. It's super pretty, the level design is really cute, the puzzles require you to think but are not overwhelming and new mechanics are added in a good pace, so is doesn't get boring.
Last but not least everything is packed into a heartwarming story.

I'm really enjoying it. However i found the weirdest glitch. i redid the tutorial and it reset all of my story progress.

EDIT: i restarted the game and it fixed itself. Crisis averted.

EDIT: I have finished the game now except for the bugged achievement for beating act 4 with no hints. I did not really care about the story until act 4, but what I did pay attention to was very interesting. Game play wise this is pretty much what I would have imagined if you told me Nintendo was making a 3D Mario vs DK game. I enjoyed very thoroughly. I would give it a 9/10. More people should give this game a try, although the price tag of $30 is really steep. I got it on sale during the winter sale though for $12 and it was worth every penny.

Very endearing puzzler game. A lot of love and heart has been poured into this little gem, it's full of character and spirit, and the art style is without doubt nothing but wonderful. But what does it play like?

The puzzles start easy enough but get more involved and tricky soon. One by one, you're being introduced to the many play elements to get your tiny tinners from their starting point to their goal safely. While the game mechanics are very solid, the controls can be a bit finicky at times, but they're serviceable and once you're used to them, they pose no obstacle to getting the job done. You're not being rushed anyway and can pause the relentless march of your little soldiers anytime (or even rewind time), so any misplaced element can be sorted out.

What you get out of the game really depends on your expectations. Adrenaline junkies will know better than picking this up, but if you're anything like me and on occasion like to take a break from slaying monsters or sniping the enemy, this game is perfect to wind away a few minutes or hours. It's great for achievement hunters too, as there are many hidden around the levels. I'm not far into the game but already know I'm picking it up every so often and will complete it - eventually - between more hectic gaming sessions.

For the price tag, it is definitely worth it - even more so if you find it on sale. Do yourself a favour, pour yourself your favourite tipple and ponder over these puzzles!

I found this one on my discovery list one day and I have to say it's a little gem. It reminded me of the Lemmings I used to play looooots of years ago, but I think this one is better!

The art is lovely, the puzzles are intuitive but will increase in difficulty and length the more you advance. I found myself repeating a level 5 times in Act 3, but once you complete that puzzle that gave you a headache is so rewarding! You can also use hints if you need help which is a nice adition from the devs in case you're not that patient! I loved the sountrack, it's very relaxing and dind't feel repetitive at all.

And the story? The story is a beautiful journey that had me playing one level after another because I wanted to know what happened in the end.

I strongly recommend it, so give it some love!

Well, I really enjoyed this game. Probably the best puzzle game I've played in a long time. With 51 levels ( and 64 hours of game play) I felt I certainly got my moneys worth, Can't always say that.
I liked the way the levels got more challenging as you went along. But not to the point where you're banging your head against the wall because you get better at solving them as you went along. Unless you manage to kill them all that is.
If you like physics based puzzle games Tin Hearts will not disappoint.

This is a very well done puzzle game which is not an easy feat to pull off. I think the difficulty curve is great and the hint system is very helpful if you get stuck. This is something I wish more of these kinds of games implemented. The game is a great price for what is here and I'd highly recommend. It also runs perfectly on the Steam Deck too from the few levels I tried on it.

Zuerst dachte ich mir... Naja, was für ein Kinderspiel! Da die Grafik sehr spielerisch und einfach ist (auf den ersten Blick).
Aber dann wurde ich eines Besseren belehrt, weil...

Die Level werden immer schwieriger und ich kam auch nur teilweise bzw. oft wegen meiner Community auf Twitch im Spiel weiter.
Das Spiel erinnert auch an das Spiel Lemminge (wer das noch kennt, ist auf jeden Fall "alt" *'g*).

Die Geschichte ist sehr Interessant und auch traurig. Aber ich will nicht zu viel Spoilern!

In Summe habe ich für das Spiel knapp 20 Stunden gebraucht und an ein paar Stellen bin ich auch etwas verzweifelt gewesen.

Es gab auch einen Bug im Level 44, wo man das Level nicht beenden konnte. Aber die Entwickler haben zeitnah einen Patch raus gebracht, sodass ab jetzt das Level spielbar ist.
Und das Spiel kann auch abgeschlossen werden :-).

Der Preis von knapp 30,00 EUR ist ok. Aber ich warte trotzdem meistens immer auf Sales ;-).
Für Kinder ist das Spiel meines Erachtens erst ab 6 oder sogar 10 Jahren geeignet, weil man doch viel lesen muss und auch die Geschichte verstehen sollte.

Insgesamt hat der Entwickler ein sauberes Spiel raus gebracht und man sieht auch die Mühe in diesem Spiel.

Tolle süße Lemminge-Soldaten :-).

At first I thought to myself... Well, what a child's game! As the graphics are very playful and simple (at first glance).
But then I was proved wrong because....

The levels become more and more difficult and I only got further in the game partly or often because of my community on Twitch.
The game also reminds me of the game Lemmings (whoever still knows that is definitely "old" *'g*).

The story is very interesting and also sad. But I don't want to spoil too much!

All in all, it took me about 20 hours to complete the game, and in a few places I was a bit desperate.

There was also a bug in level 44 where you couldn't finish the level. But the developers promptly released a patch so that the level is now playable.
And the game can also be completed :-).

The price of just under 30.00 EUR is ok. But I still usually wait for sales ;-).
In my opinion, the game is only suitable for children from the age of 6 or even 10, because you have to read a lot and should also understand the story.

All in all, the developer has brought out a neat game and you can see the effort in this game.

Cierto, como pueden ver, en esta cuenta steam (lacasademael) no se ve que pase mucho tiempo en el juego, pero he probado con un amigo con quien me dejo ver y probar por la misma ocasión.

De que se trata el juego ? Si conociste al antiguo juego "Lemmings" y que te gusto, quizás este juego sería por vos.
Antes Lemmings era un juego en 2D, un poco como el primer "Worms", pero Tin Hearts hizo mejor :
A saber que todo está en 3D.
El mundo y los gráficos hacen su trabajo. Que no esperan a AAA 😅😅
Ahí van a tener a un juego casi de tipo para la familia. En el sentido que no hay un cronometro para hacer los mejores puntos. El juego se focaliza más sobre el tema de la reflexión con los rompecabezas.
Van a poder descubrir que los primeros niveles son bastantes accesibles.
La única cosa que me molesto a su principio era la forma de usar el teclado y ratón. Cierto es "facil" pero hay que tener la costumbre 😊😊
Por el momento es la única cosa negativa que encontré : el manejo con tecla/ratón.
Sobre el tema de los gráficos, el motor que utilizan no está preguntando muchos recursos a su computadora.
Así que si tienen una gtx de la generación 800 o 900, seguro que se va a funcionar.
Yo con mi notebook que tiene la gtx 1050ti (4gb vram ddr5) he podido poner todos los gráficos en ultra. Yo juego siempre en FHD (1920x1080).
No encuentre a un lag o algo que me molesto durante mis partidas.
El menú del inicio del juego es simple, y sabemos a donde ubicar a los ajustes etc...
Igualmente el juego está en varios idiomas. No hay diálogos como si era un juego rpg. Es solo texto para explicar cómo funciona el juego :
Como acelerar el tiempo, como cambiar la dirección de la forma etc...
El universo me hizo recuerdar varios cosas y juegos.
Por lo primero y es obvio, al juego antiguo "lemmings" a donde cada uno tuve su especialidad para poder hacer avanzar a su Colonia hasta la puerta que corresponde al objetivo.
El juego Tin es igual pero en 3D, y van a tener la misma sensación (al meno es lo que me ha pasado jajajaja).
El ost del juego es "comun", me explicó :
Es música de ambiente, no vas a tener algo de comercial etc... La música incluida en este juego acompaña solamente al jugador como si era música de un ascensor 😅😅
Cierto si sacas a la música, hay un vació.
Los diálogos están de forma escritos, no van a poder ver o escuchar alguien que habla en el juego.
Después sobre la experiencia que tuve con Tin Hearts, me pareció más a un juego chill para pasar tiempo. No se falta de estar re adentro. Podemos parar de juegar un tiempo y seguir más tarde, con eso quiero decir que no es como algunos juegos a donde cuando dejas al juego y que quieres seguir jugando le después de 1 mes... Aveces se olvidamos a donde tenemos que ir, hacer etc....
La parte rompecabezas no es tan difícil. Para un nene de 12 años funciona bien.
Hay que tener solamente lógica 😅

Los gráficos no son malos y tan poco súper chetos..... Son normales/comunes.
Sobre el tema de la jugabilidad, me costó un poco sobre el tema del manejo con el teclado y ratón. Después de entender y practicar, entendí. Pero no es algo fácil, en el sentido si no quieres leer como se maneja las piezas etc... vas a estar en el horno 🤣😅
Así que le doy un 16/20. Es una buena nota, lastima que el tema del manejo no era algo de "natural", hay que recuerdarse de las teclas etc...
Más tarde voy a grabar a un vídeo de gameplay en mi canal YouTube y voy a dejar les el enlace en esta reseña para que sea completa.

This game is a hidden gem, one of the best puzzle games I've played in the last few years. I haven't finished it yet but so far it's great, developers put a lot of love and attention into it. The sad story of the family who lived in the house and the excellent music bring an emotional element to the overall atmosphere. The puzzles never never get too old or repetitive because the game introduces new mechanics at each 3 or 4 levels.

If you like mechanical / physics based puzzles, don't hesitate to buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I was expecting a 4-5 hour, quick little puzzle game with not a lot to it. Absolutely blown away by what I got instead! Over 12 hours worth of puzzles without achievement hunting, spectacular art and music design, and a story I wanted to know the ending to. Very enjoyable puzzle game, definitely recommend it!

So far so wonderful. One piece of advice, stay with it through the first Act, which is like a long tutorial. The whole game opens up in Act 2, the story starts to unfold, more machinery to manipulate and bigger environments. I'm only 3 hours in but I'm really warming to the characters. Just completed the Garden level and it was absolutely lovely. One of my soldiers got left behind so while I was solving puzzles over one side of the garden I could see him desperately trying to catch up, so I created a little loop for the rest of the group and eventually he rejoined his buddies...aaaw.

Update after about 6hrs: Blimey, this just keeps getting better and the attention to detail. I just completed a level where you have to push 4 things with the direct control soldier, each animation for the soldier was different, with the final one being a kind of roundhouse karate kick which almost made me laugh out loud, to then be brought down to earth with a lump in my throat at the cut scene between Albert and his wife, gulp.

Update after completing the game. Holy moly, THAT. WAS. BRILLIANT. The puzzles get bigger but not crazy difficult, you can solve them in smallish chunks. And of course rewind time. The acting in the final cut scenes was top notch and that final uplifting song with the musical soldier and end credits rounded the whole thing off perfectly. I just let out an aaaah and smiled.

It's a cute little puzzle game, in the style of something like Lemmings, where you guide little toy soldiers around obstacles in a Victorian era toy maker's home. Some of the best levels so far for me have been the ones that use entire rooms in ways you can't necessarily predict when you start a level, where they open up and you have to explore options as you play them.

My only major annoyance with the game is that the controls can be a bit frustrating. It sometimes feel like you have to fight both them and the camera to get blocks and other puzzle pieces correctly aligned in the world.

I also don't think the tutorial section really does the game justice. I at least was initially turned off by how restrictive the controls were and how much it hindered my ability to interact with the levels. It was only after unlocking the ability to move freely that I really started to enjoy the game. I understand gradually easing players into a game and its controls, but I think the developers might have taken things a bit too far in this case.

I'd suggest giving this game at least an hour and do the first 10-15 levels before deciding if this is something for you. The game only really begins to open up at that point.

Very chill Lemmings-style puzzle game with exquisite graphics and a cute theme. Mechanics expand over chapters and the difficulty ramps up near the end of the first act, but there's a hint system that's not too spoilery so you won't have to resort to a guide if you get stuck. Well worth your time and money if you're a fan of this genre. Plays smoothly on the Steam Deck as well!

This is a very nice puzzle game, while the early levels are fairly simple, once you start doing Act 2 levels, then the difficulty of the levels start to ramp up. This also tells a story, but you need to play deeper into the game, to start seeing cut scenes in the levels themselves. They are can be triggered by either getting the toy soldiers to a place, or over a letter.

As for the game itself, you have to use blocks to make the toy soldiers go where you want. Some of the blocks might have a symbol, so can only be placed on a place that has the same symbol, or in some levels, a block that can be placed anyway.

Also, as you progress, your ghost character can acquire new skills, like been able to interact with objects. or unlocking a box that might have extra blocks. Then on top of that, there are hidden collectables to find and kick. (on those levels, you can take control of one soldier. )

With the music, the story (which takes a while to get into) the puzzle design. If you like puzzle games, then give this gem of a game a chance.

Recommended *if you are in the hunt for a PUZZLE game with small narrative rewards*

Based on: Only 1 hour of gameplay.

With limited research, heading into this: I will say I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from the trailer videos and preview videos. I liked how it certainly looks different and like something unique. And there seemed to be a depiction and suggestion of a compelling narrative woven into this title. This was supported by a few of the initial (albeit low volume) reviews coming in.

>> One initial note (*the developer comments on this impression in a reply): If you got the impression that you directly control the toy-soldier type characters in this game that is not the case. You are in first-person control of someone in the room manipulating objects they run into. I just thought I'd call that out if you were someone less attentive like me that thought you might be latching yourself onto balloons and soaring through the air yourself and then solving puzzles as you walk about. Nope. Not NECESSARILY the developer's fault. Just my impulse reactions to visuals.

1) If you love puzzle games, and that is your focus:
- I think you'll love this.
- I imagine many will find it novel how they are incorporating a story that briefly rewards you between puzzles.

2) If you are looking to be immersed in some way:
- After 1hr, I give it a "so-so".
- The growing feature set of the puzzles is great, if you're looking for that.
- The music is good, but repretitive. It sets a certain mood but Im not certain on the payoff without investing more time. Given the general mood many suggest from comments/reviews I'd suspect it will be fitting, albeit not anything that grabs you as you're worrying about puzzles.
---- GRAPHICS ----
- The visuals are decent. The character models and items you interact with particularly so. But you will find quite a few things with much lower resolution textures. I dont think they ruin the experience, but they certainly wont collectively give you the "wow" factor other modern releases might.

3) Narrative
- As others have said: its not really leaning heavily on actual narration in the early stages of the game. Its more of a visual with a bit of mystery to what they're going to tell you. Its compelling in that way, but might be lacking for others.
- Im being a bit judgey because I'm fresh off Bramble: The Mountain King, The Quarry, and Detroit: Become Human. Which isnt particularly a fair comparison. However if you've searched titles for unique story experiences where that is the main shining feature above most other elements.... this isnt the one for you I dont think. You have to be going in with a majority of your interest being the puzzles and then a reward of narrative with it.

That's my take. I recommend it for the individuals I call out in the commentary, but I myself requested a refund since it wasn't what I was looking for.

only a few hours into the game and I am already loving it. The atmosphere is magical and relaxing, and the moment the puzzle 'clicks' and you get to watch the soldiers march away is very satisfying. I can tell the puzzles getting progressively more involved, without reaching bang head on wall levels. The music/sounds tie in perfectly with the vibes. The presentation of the story is very intriguing, with lots of nice little details sprinkled around in the rooms, and I'm looking forward to revealing more of it in the next days, so far really lives up to the great reviews I've seen.

I saw a couple reviews mention issues with controls, but I’ve been playing with mouse and keyboard without any issues. The game does toggle you from first person to manipulating various objects in a sort of top down / strategy game mode, so maybe it's about that. The trick is to remember that you "are" the object in that moment (it does say you "possess" it). Controlling things became second nature fairly quickly, soon after completing the prologue/tutorial. The "pause" time is on space bar so you can take as long as you need anyway to set stuff up, and even rewind and correct if you mess something up. That part is very cool actually, love how it affects the music.

Can’t wait to see where it all goes next, the trailers looked like there’s much more to it. Might update the review when I get further.

An Absolutely amazing title. Potentially one of my favorite games of 2023. The content the developers and publishers have delivered is unbelievable. I will be updating this review once I hit 50/60hrs gameplay - or when I complete the game on multiple formats. But for now - Thank you Rogue Sun and Wired Productions, this has been a pleasant, unexpected adventure - Everybody needs to walk this path.

Is this game a masterpiece? This is a passion project - but does this make it a good game? There once was Lemmings, a stroke of genius from 1991. You guided a stream of braindead Lemmings from the level entry to the exit, trying to save as many as you could. Your Lemmings were just running straight ahead, until they died when hitting one of the ubiquitous environmental dangers or turned around when hitting a wall. You could instruct Lemmings to do or build certain things, like using a parachute when falling down or constructing a springboard so that all your tribesmen would automatically jump (and avoid a danger). Tin Heart uses the same mechanic, with the main difference that the game is not in 2D but uses an isometric view (you look at everything from above) and your tin soldiers run around in a 3D environment. You also manipulate the environment directly (and not your soldiers) with your ghostly hand and guide your - braindead - tin soldiers through the levels.

Does this make the game better? The pseudo 3D view of the game makes it far harder to see where everyone is at the moment, it makes it harder to place and manipulate certain objects. New games released today have to be in (a kind of) 3D, but I don't think that this always makes the game better. Sometimes less is more, and in this case I am not so happy when a soldier dies because I didn't see him in a remote edge of the map, when I struggle to place an object at the correct place (and in the correct orientation) fast enough, or if I don't understand a puzzle at all because the view simply makes it hard to really understand what is going on. This reminds me a bit of the later Lemmings games that switched to isometric view... and were by far not as successful as the first game.

The game starts with your tin soldiers slowly entering the world and running straight ahead until the hit a wall that either redirects them in a different angle or lets them run back from where they came. Should they fall off the world they die. You see a table from above and can place various stuff like triangular blocks or other toys, or even little trains or cannons and so on to redirect your soldiers to the exit. The puzzles get more complex over time, you`ll soon have to change things under time pressure. Rotating objects in 3D may be far more complex than playing in 2D, but for me trying to find the correct orientation and then placing an object at the correct spot in 3D is more stress than fun. You might disagree. You can always pause the game to think about what to do next, you can speed up time and make your little lemmings (I mean tin soldiers) run around very fast, or you can (and this was not possible in the original Lemmings) rewind the time if something bad happens.

While you guide the toy solders to the exit, you see past family memories presented in charming visuals. They are well made and somewhat melancholic, but at first you have no idea what these touching scenes have to do with playing with your toy soldiers. Lemmings was just pure fun, even if you nuked all your Lemmings after reaching a dead-end. Tin Heart on the other hand presents a touching story that may make you cry and that you generally find in narrative games and not puzzlers. You may also start to cry because the isometric view combined with time pressure and sometimes a stuttering camera. You have been warned. On the plus side, the challenges get more complex from level to level and new gameplay mechanics are introduced regularly, so it does not become repetitive too fast. The default language is Italian, which is... unusual. Cloud saves are not supported, which is weak. You play with mouse and keyboard with fixed keybindings (also weak), or with your gamepad. I'd recommend it for fans of puzzle games, but it might not be for everyone even if you enjoy the genre.

A Lemmings-inspired puzzler in 3D using a suboptimal isometric view, combined with a touching story of a man remembering his past family and later professional life. Certainly a strange combination.

Great puzzle game with cute graphics & interesting story. The levels are quite detailed & thought out. The world around you evolves and changes as the story goes on. Contrary to what I expected, the game is decently long.

Having said that, a few issues:
- camera can feel sluggish
- some textures for big objects need more detail/resolution
- wish I could disable/skip some forced camera movement upon completing a part of a puzzle
- there should be an option to skip all story-related elements when replaying the levels you've already finished

Overall, a very well made game.

Played through 1st chapter and one more level and really loved it thus far - great art, atmosphere and using various toys to guide your tin soldiers to exit is really nice mix-up on lemmings formula. Puzzles require some pondering - those aren't too easy.
I will however hold back on other levels until VR mode is added.
My only gripe right now is that there are some really low resolution textures on some props: moon emblems on doors in 1st chapter, red square carpet.
And suggestion - advertisement banners or anything with text on it could have some game lore (higher res. textures so those could be read as is or text displayed in popup or audio playback when used).

I played the game for 5 hours. I didn`t finished yet, but I passed half of the game. Is a nice game, with an emotional story. There are lots of puzzles and the levels are quite different so you won`t get bored. The music is great as well. The game is not really for grown up man, like, if you like this puzzles game, its a nice game to play. But I feel the game is more for kids around 10-15 years to teach critical thinking. I think is still worth playing in a nice chill sunday.

So I finished the game in 13 hours. I got a good amount of achievements, and I manage to finish without hints. The story is emotional. In all this battle royal games, fast paced; this is a nice break from all that. Some bugs, especially at level 44; where you have to get the glove. It happened that the tin soldier would go outside the capsule and I would not be able to pass. Another bug is if you fast forward and go back more times and the spider is buging when catching the soldiers. I once got out of balance with a soldier. and sometimes some pipes where activated even if I didn`t do what I had to do to activate. Anyway with a simple restart of the level everything was fine. A bit annoying because I had to replay some levels but not a big deal since I knew what to do.

To respond to developer question about how hard are the last levels; Is not that hard. Level 44 was a bit annoying because I didn`t know that I can destroy spiders with shocks but the difficulty I guess is fine. The only thing would be good if there would be a way to make a tutorial for the other machines, like glove, like the multiplication machine or others that are introduced first without you knowing what to do. Anyway a game that is worth playing.

From start to finish there is something happening; whether its a new interaction you can use, an important part of the story or a new piece of scenery there is always something to keep your attention.

As far as puzzle games go, this ticks the boxes - everything you do fits the narrative and leads nicely into the story and/or the next part of the puzzle. With the freedom to have a nosey around you can really take your time and enjoy the surroundings, pictures on the wall, toys in the baskets and certificates on the walls. I was heavily reminded of an old time favourite, Lemmings.

The story will take you on a journey full of emotion, and the ending delivers a true punch. The piano music throughout is a delight and very relaxing. The difficulty definitely increases as you progress but you are given the instructions seamlessly within the levels to help you along your journey.

I would highly recommend this game to any gamer, whether you love a good story, a game with great music, puzzles, visually pleasant colours, or just a chill time to relax and immerse yourself.
