This feels like a Nintendo game...
Pravděpodobně jediná hra co jsem kdy viděl, která by úplně na jedničku střídala aspekty hororu a komedie. Ačkoliv je její hlavní částí právě humor, některé části byly překvapivě dost děsivé a atmosfericky mě tak hra velmi překvapila.
Co se samotného humoru týče - kriste pane. Asi to největší, v čem hra exceluje, je prostě načasování svých vtipů. S humorem nespěchá, ale zároveň ho ani neprotahuje do nudy, prostě tam je když se hodí a hra je tak po celou dobu vtipná dost. Audio tomu v této hře nehorázně pomáhá a myslím si, že by byl fakt hřích tohle celý dohrát bez zvuku.
Vizuálně je hra taky krásná, jde velmi vidět, že na hře dělal ten samý člověk, co na Lethal Company, a to myšleno v nejlepším smyslu slova. Práce s shadery je tady bezchybná a hra je tak překrásná, i když je to celou dobu vlastně pixelovka.
Za mě jen další důkaz toho, že je v indie hrách krása. Celá hra by se dala shrnout do dvou vět a stejně přetéká osobností stokrát víc, než kdejaká hra s kapitálem v řadách desítek milionů dolarů.

The Upturned was such a blast. All the little bits of dialogue were really funny to read. The art style of everything was wholesome despite being a horror game. The physics in the game were wonderful being able to throw pretty much everything you see is really cool. The theme of going to different floors to find a fuse because your elevator broke down is an interesting mechanic that brings multiple floors, each with something different. This game is a must-try.

Weird and Scary in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY! Zeekerss is an amazing story teller and world builder, and this game is the perfect example of that! The thing that makes it different from Lethal Company is it's amazing characters, dialogue, and music that really just makes your trip through the Upturned Inn so immersive and fun. This game's sense of humor isn't cheesy at all and is actually really funny. The gameplay loop is simple, but each level and enemy is so unique that every floor feels fresh and not repetitive. I would 100% recommend this game if you're looking for a fun time while also wanting to have a couple scares thrown in the mix!!

Incredibly charming and high-energy game with physics that it takes advantage of to the fullest extent, from the puzzles to the combat to the individual jokes. it does the thing where each level has the same core mechanics (flashlight, objects having utility, etc) but they all elaborate on or play with them in in really fun ways, with the bonus levels further with that in ways the main game doesn't. the story is also very silly while not being afraid to communicate a certain theme and lean towards symbolism at points, especially near the end. also the soundtrack: jumping spider >>>>
