Nothing to say here that much, the game is pretty grim, simplistic and concise on what it wants to deliver, especially the perspective of a depressed person and their last day, makes the whole experience as a whole literally despite being a short game.

From the way this game is talked about I expected way more than what I got. Not a clue if I'm missing something but I went through twice, did as much different stuff as I could work out and had the exact same experience of completing ~5 tasks that take ~15 seconds to complete and then the game ends.

十一年后还记得这个游戏。自杀前任务清单上的生活琐事其实把自杀前的心理刻画得很到位，说是给予自己最后的仪式感也好，缺乏进行基本生活行为的行动力因而需要列表推动自己也罢，越是日常无意义的小事越能反衬出此时此刻奇异的安心与平静，没有欲望，把自己的一切托管给预先设定好的脚本这样的平淡灰蓝色调，一种不用再陷入先前的纠结与痛苦，已经抛下一切负担，只需要进入最终执行阶段达成目标的解放感。还有一个比较触动的地方是上网寻找好友进行告别（隐晦的求助讯号）的行为和桌边的留言。然而只能更加确定，直到最后也没有人会来拯救自己。我最后让主角把画家放了，也算不至于一事无成（明明是自己绑架在先）。画面简单、流程较短，但我觉得是很棒的作品！此外，如果有类似心理状态的朋友，虽然很难做到，但要记得可以找自己信任的人聊聊天喔，至少先稍稍放下胆怯，向外界伸出一次手试试看，有时会发现不是总是只有自己一个人面对一切的（当然是运气好的情况下

when I played this game, I didn't know what to make of it and I was just like "huh?"
It is indeed very weird but then I watched Markiplier's playthrough and only then I realized what this game is actually about. Considering how short it is, I think it's worth a try. It's almost as short as an episode of a sitcom.
cool concept. But my god not being able to adjust this fast ass sensitivity drove me nuts. And it kept crashing so i didnt really get to play

Das Game ist kurz und düster. Es gibt kein Happy End. So wie es halt bei der Thematik 'Suizid' ist. Es ist nicht schön. Man hätte tiefer drauf eingehen können aber vielleicht war es auch gut so, das eben nicht zu machen. Dadurch fällt es schwerer zu sagen 'Der Charakter übertreibt, das ist ja gar nicht so schlimm'.
Es ist kostenlos und dauert knapp 10 Minuten, warum sollte ich es also nicht empfehlen.

I started talking to a stranger on the computer, and this person wanted to watch me while they were having sex, which is very strange. After that, my character kills himself, I go to a completely dark place, and suddenly my game crashes

This game was really short which I appreciated as a change in pace.. errmm overall it seems like there's not much to think about but so much to think about at the same time. It really leaves you with more questions than answers but I enjoyed the lack of explanations and the entire dream-like atmosphere

A very surreal and creepy game that will make you nervous through out the run. The way it introduces it's world, the basic polygon design, and dim lighting all help make the world truly unsettling. No jumpscares or cheap scare tactics here either. Just some static that calls out to you as you try to go through out your day trying to do normal day activities. Just don't mind whatever is hidden behind the door, it's also normal. If you need something to get under your skin, The Static Speaks My Name does a good job of doing that, and in under 30 minutes or less! It's free too, so if you need to see horrors while waiting for a pizza, this is for you.
Odd but worth the 15 minute playthrough for sure.

I appreciate the artistery at display here, however, I cannot lie, it did not grab me fully as it intended to. Though I am guessing this was made as some sort of Jam game, and for a Jam game this is pretty neat.
Pretty okay for a free game. Its gameplay only lasts around 10 minutes and talks about a depressed man living in his house. There was nothing much to do except to bask in the atmosphere and the dark elements.

Бесконечные поиски невыносимы, как прятанье своих собственных рук от грязи. Спасибо всем вам двоим за крашенье одиночества, такого больше не будет никогда, что второй изменился, что первый лишь приятность, данное с nox timore, смысла в будущем и не было, но это спасало и давало больше мыслей на продолжение, вс1 иссякло, как иссяк и я. Как бы не был пьян я сейчас, но прошлое уже часть тебя, и можно лишь вспомнить те эмоции и стараться жить дальше, как бы ты не пытался сдохнуть, и, мб, это и выход, не знаю. This game is just plain boring. I don’t usually dislike games—especially psychological horror—but this one felt completely hollow. It lacks substance, and despite its short runtime, which isn’t inherently a flaw, it fails to use that time effectively. Other psychological horror games manage to do a lot within a brief span, but this one simply doesn’t make sense.
The game begins with you waking up early and ends with your character committing suicide. It lasts about 10 minutes; I stretched it to 20 by examining every detail I could find.
It’s unfortunate because the scattered details were genuinely intriguing. There’s an entire mystery surrounding a painting, but it leads nowhere. The house has a liminal, unsettling atmosphere, and certain elements—like rooms with no purpose, notes scribbled on walls, TVs stacked and buzzing with static, and boarded-up windows—hint at deeper meaning, but ultimately, none of it is utilized. It’s not even up for interpretation; there’s simply nothing there.
The only theme I could extract was the monotony of depression, with the painting symbolizing hope and meaning. Overanalyzing it seems to be the protagonist’s only way of staying remotely sane. But even this interpretation isn’t supported by the game—it’s something I had to invent to find any value.
Instead, the game relies heavily on shock value. First, there's a vulgar computer conversation that feels crude for the sake of being crude. Perhaps it’s meant to show how difficult it is for those suffering from depression to articulate their thoughts, or how hollow certain relationships can feel—but the execution lacks nuance. The vulgarity adds nothing meaningful and feels gratuitous. I just felt... off by it, that's it. Not even disgusted, just plain boredom.
Then comes the man in the cage—and he's here... why? It just seems so odd, and intentional or not, I couldn't find myself to care, as it existed for 5 seconds before I walked away—utterly confused. Finally, the game ends in suicide. Each of these moments aims to provoke a reaction, but without context or grounding, they feel shallow and ineffective. There's no eeriness, no sense of psychological layering—just a string of jarring scenes.
In a way, the game does live up to its name. Like static, it’s hazy, directionless, and devoid of meaning. What even is this?/10

Very few pieces of media I've come across depict suicide like this, in a way that's from the perspective of someone dealing with serious depression, but not in a way that's romanticized, fetishized or stigmatized. It's just very real and raw, depicted with a mix of emotionally-tense psychological horror and pitch-black comedy, the kind of situation I and many other have themselves coming very close, wishing you were in a better world and contemplating ending it all when escapism is no longer enough. There's as much of a sense of empathy and mourning as there is a haunted uneasy
Takes like half an horror to play, it's free, so it's worth checking out, it might be too intense/graphic for some, but I wouldn't really boil it down to misery porn, there's an odd catharsis to it's rawness, even if it's paired with an appropriate nihilism

i hated this game as much as i loved it, it creeped me out in all the right places but it also kinda made me appreciate life in a way, its a lot like an ego boost to tell u wow at LEAST i'm not as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up as this guy that i'm playing as. i also think it captured the feeling of surreality and finality one feels when they actually decide to take their own life.
despite this game being a 10-20 minute story max, it's still amazing in a really eerie and weird way.
