Amazing VR Dungeon Crawler
This is a real good vr fantasy game. The graphics are not realistic, but beautiful. They reminded me a bit of For The King, one of my favourite games. The fighting is satisfying, the atmosphere is haunting and the bowplay is really well done. I was really immersed. It is a short game, but is really pulled me in. At first, I had problems with motion sickness, but that got better with time. Really great indie-game. Highly recommended.

Not very fun, generic combat, boring puzzles, and somewhat buggy physics. Items disappear very quickly if you drop them, occasionally resulting in a softlock from puzzle items disappearing. The final mission is the worst one by far, using new mechanics and making you used ranged weapons for the entire thing. There are clearly some decent ideas put into it, but the execution was bad. Not worth buying.
Nice little VR gem. Had nearly 6 hours of fun with it, was definitely worth the money.
I got the game for the htc vive years ago, but as soon as i changed to the quest this game doesnt work no matter what i try and it seems the game isnt getting updated with such fixes, so only get if you have the htc vive
With the VR library being what it is, the first positive thing to say about The Morrigan is that it's a complete game. It isn't an empty sandbox, or a tech demo, It has a beginning, it has an end, and it won't try to devour too much of your time between.
Combat is simple enough; keep your weapon between an incoming strike and yourself and you'll block it. Hit an enemy's weapon or shield before you hit them -- and they'll block it. There's a degree of "momentum read" for damage values, it seems, but I rarely struck below a weapon's maximum damage with fairly modest strikes throughout the playthrough. Enemy attacks are only so varied, and so your biggest concern will be numbers. Everything feels responsive enough for me to have enjoyed most of it.
There are puzzles here and here, but the vast majority of them are based around navigation -- usually climbing. You'll have keys for doors, and some better, more intricate puzzles scattered across a few levels.
The atmosphere is great. I've been fairly personally exhausted by the "low-poly" look in many games, but this one manages to integrate it enough into the world that it doesn't feel out of place. Some of the lighting effects are striking, especially after crawling through a dungeon lit exclusively by torches for a while.
If you have a few hours open, and are feeling up for a good delve through a few neatly-crafted levels to rescue The Princess from The Evil Witch, I'd wholeheartedly reccommend this title.
Just be sure to keep your eyes peeled. The game isn't shy on ambush, and the devs placed some nice little visual cues around in the game if you're the type to look around. :)
A fun little ~4 hour long VR dungeon crawler. Doesn't do anything spectacular, but everything feels solid. The physics-based melee combat makes knocking undead around crunchy and satisfying, the voxel-esque art style and warm lighting is pleasant on the eyes, and I appreciate the attempt at having a basic plot.
Gameplay feels smooth, the story and ending are a bit lackluster
„Macht anfangs Spaß, aber am Ende kommen sie auf die Idee: ‚Ey, lass den Spieler doch mit unserer unpräzisen Steuerung Harpunen werfen – in einem Bossfight!‘ Und weil das komplett dumm zu spielen ist und man mit den Dingern nichts trifft, lassen sie einen vorher noch eine halbe Stunde stumpf Boot fahren. Damit das Ganze dann auch richtig 'Spaß' macht, kann man den Attacken des Bosses weder ausweichen noch sie blocken.
Gut angefangen, stark nachgelassen – am Ende Software-Müll. Schade.“

Good, but very short. Played on hard from the get go, and managed to finish it in around 3 hours even with a few deaths.
Positives are that combat feels pretty good, artstyle/graphics looks great, sound is actually quite solid, atmosphere in general was excellent, and there was only really one "low" point throughout the game.
Negatives are that the boat level was that low point. The level just felt a bit awkward in general, both because of the boat and because if you are bad at archery or throwing spears the level kind of feels bad to paly. Which is really unfortunate because of its location in the campaign. Bosses were also just generally in need of a bit more complexity, there are no two-handed weapons that I found, and it's way too short of a game. I'd have been up for at least 4x the length as long as there was minimal boating. But still, for its cost the Morrigan's a fun game, and I'd like to see more from the developer.
Dungeon Crawler hidden gem
This game is quite the surprise! Once you get into the game world you're going to say oh wow. It's l in me a mini-zelda game with cool environmental puzzles, item and weapon hunting, keys, secret rooms. Cool music and atmosphere. This game, along with ancient dungeon VR and dungeons of eternity would be my personal trifecta in VR dungeon crawlers. Rest assured this game is a little banger and if you're. A Zelda fan definitely will resonate with you.

Das Spiel hat mir spaß gemacht. Es ist nicht Riesig aber bietet schöne Level. Das kampfsystem ist gut aber man muss als neuling erstmal reinkommen. Würde mir random level wünschen in denen man gold und andere dinge sammeln kann abseits der Sory. Die arena wird halt sonst etwas langweilig.

I don't even remember when I bought this game, it was just on sale and I found it in my library and figured I'd give it a shot. I do not think I've ever been this happy with a game I bought just because "it looks kinda cool". It's not anything extremely groundbreaking, it's just everything it tries to do, it does really well. And the game is adorable. I love the art style, I love the little story, and I love that there are parts of the game that are genuinely scary and tense. Unbelievable game, so much fun :)
Could have been a decent game but cannot get out of the starting area because of the janky controls.
Sadly there's no way I've found to stop it using the trackpads for touch control, rather than requiring clicks for inputs. As a result, it's impossible not to be constantly sliding off in random directions while trying to play.
Unfortunately, as the game has been long since abandoned by the devs, and there's no means of getting support in the forums or the Discord, this remains unresolved and the game remains unplayable.

The graphics are simple but cute. I can recommend the game, but not on full price, since I finished the game in a bit more than 3 hours, but I played on easy mode.

J'ai acheté ce jeu en pensant trouver un minimum de difficulté. Quel déception, balancer votre épée dans tout les sens ça tueras tout les ennemis présent, arrêté les coups adverse alors que votre épée n'est clairement pas dans le sens de la frappe pas de sensation d'impact, en bref ce n'est pas un mauvais jeu mais convient plus à des joueurs qui découvrent la VR.

Es muy parecido a otro tipo de juegos de rol en primera persona pero es muy intuitivo y se juega de maravilla.
Graficamente es algo simple; una especie de gráficos low poly, pero excelentemente animados y con una banda sonora muy ambiental,que aparece puntualmente.
La jugabilidad es fantástica pues responden los controles a la perfección.
Tiene una duración media con una campaña estructurada en capítulos que vienen a durar una media hora cada uno.

Habe das Game durchgespielt und kann gleich vorweg sagen, dass es doch ganz schön ist. ABER! Eben auch kurz. Bin lange um das Spiel herumgekreist und gezögert, denn der "Minecraft"-Stil spricht mich eigentlich gar nicht an. Nach den ersten Minuten verschwindet das Bewusstsein dafür aber und man konzentriert sich auf das Spiel. Würde es Leuten empfehlen, die auch MC mögen und einen unkomplizierten "Dungeon Crawler" suchen. Holt es aber im Sale, denn ich finde, dass der Vollpreis für die kurze Spieldauer zu hoch ist.
A fun indie VR dungeon crawler that promotes exploring with an interesting story. It's a fun game with plenty of content, roughly about 2-3 hours of gameplay depending on how you play, plus a bonus arena mode.
The combat in the game is intermediate. You actually have to make sure that the cutting edge of your weapon is striking your opponent. The most common enemies you will run into are basic undead grunts, and honestly the combat with them is a little too easy. If you're standing still and trying to treat it like a regular sword fight while you strike when you can and block their blows, then you might get a bit more thrill out of fighting them.
Personally, the fighting in the game seemed a bit too easy at times until you ran into "boss" enemies. There are enemies in this game that are essentially "black knights" from Dark Souls, and they do provide difficulty. But the devs didn't plan for their knights being too tall and the fact that the player can trap them on the other side of a doorway and easily beat the fight. The devs could fix that by creating a barrier in the doorway that forces the player into the room to fight the knight, like they do with "horde" rooms. That would work great because the knights are already immune to bow attacks.

Lastly, the ending was a bit underwhelming. The level design of it was really neat and a total change of pace from the rest of the game. But I feel like it could have been more suspenseful leading up to the end and maybe a little faster. The final fight as well could use a bit of a change, maybe mix it up instead of the pattern it has. I found myself getting a bit bored by the end of the game and started to yearn for the ending to come sooner until it finally arrived. I did, however, enjoy the ending cutscene.

I give the game a solid 8/10. It held my attention for a majority of the game, but it could use some improvements.
UPDATE:
I finished the game this evening, and I enjoyed every bit of the journey. I took my time and only did 2 or so missions per night, and that let me really enjoy it over a longer period of time. Each evening (sporadically) I would look forward to playing.
If you're just seeing screenshots and haven't actually played, the art style is vastly more effective in VR, quite storybook-ish and lovely, actually!
The pace and scenery stayed solid, with fun mechanics introduced several times.
Honestly, this game is a perfect example on what we should hope for in the indie scene -- what these TWO (!!!) devs set out to do, they did wonderfully.
It was a wonderful journey. :)

I'll update this review when I finish the game, but I did want to say: Yes, this game is most definitely worth purchasing & playing!
Like one review I read mentioned, this game does bring back some of the vibes I got from Vanishing Realms, and that's a big compliment. This is absolutely its own game though, and the art style and atmosphere really pops & looks great when you're in-game in VR (versus 2D screenshots...pretty, but not the same!).
So far I wouldn't consider it a horribly HARD game by any means -- I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and still finding it very manageable, which makes it surprising to me that I'm getting 2.x% achievements for playing the levels on that difficulty.
I know some reviews mention they wish it was harder, but I actually find it fine & fun that it's not. For a dungeon crawler in VR we simply cannot manage things the same way as a 3rd person view in even something like Dark Souls...and making it too punishing would kind of be a deterrent.
No, there's not many NPC interactions here...but for a basically solo-developer, having complex interactions and dialogues isn't really plausible. What has been focused on has been done very well, and I'm pleased that the small indie scene is continuing to carry the torch for VR games like this (which seem very relatively rare)!

The Morrigan es un juego indie en VR basado en un mundo de fantasía medieval oscura y con gráficos low poly muy bien conseguidos.
Jugablemente nos encontramos ante un juego de acción dónde deberemos avanzar por distintas mazmorras enfrentándonos a diversos enemigos y jefes con ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y arco. El juego tiene una variedad de armas distintas con distintos atributos que iremos consiguiendo y comprando. El combate es fluido y encontraremos varios tipos de enemigos, tendremos que bloquear sus ataques (con nuestras armas o con escudos que facilitan mucho la defensa) y machacarlos a espadazos/hachazos/cuchillazos, etc...
Si nos matan tendremos que empezar el nivel de nuevo. En el juego iremos consiguiendo monedas que nos permitirán comprar armas nuevas o pociones/comida para curarnos o buffarnos.
Tendremos también que solucionar algún puzzle simple, trepar por distintas zonas con movimientos de escalada y algún susto nos llevaremos de algún enemigo colocado estategicamente.
La historia es simple y sirve como un hilo conductor para avanzar en las mazmorras.
Gráficamente es un juego sencillo, pero el apartado artístico es muy bonito y le queda muy bien, es agradable de jugar.
En definitiva, es un juego indie que aconsejo porque lo he disfrutado bastante mientras me pasaba su historia y creo que puede merecer la pena a cualquiera que busque un juego del estilo.
I paid 5.76 for this title and that is about right.
Not that it is bad, but its about the same amount of fun/interest that other titles right around that price have been for me. There is no replayability here for me, but thats no big deal. Story is reasonable, I liked the environments, I think the art style works, there were a couple pretty cool levels, and some neat bosses. That they threw in a boat piloting mechanic was a pretty fun surprise. You have to grind to get the best weapon, and I didnt really bother to so I didnt have it until the last level. In the last level you use a sword about 5 times, and no times where having such a stacked weapon makes a difference, which made me sad.
I only hit one bug where I fell through the map and had to actually kill the game.
Buy this one for about what I paid and you wont regret it. Fun few hours.

Graphics grew on me as I played more. Puzzles not too bad. Climbing and combat easy enough. Running across traps, shooting skellies... it's there.
Although the game is missing some key things, it is a really good game and a lot of fun if you want a simple fighting game with some great mechanics, art style and a proper campaign. Highly recommend it.

Fun game to play for a few hours, the art style made it feel like I was playing For the King but in VR. The premise is decent enough and the dungeons have some cool set pieces. The combat can get a bit repetitive however, I don't think I've been particularly challenged by encounters even on the hardest difficulty, the enemies very much go at you one by one, or at most 2 at once, and while there's a few moments where there's a lot of enemies coming at you at once, they're few and far between.
Feedback for the developers:
Enemy AI wise, the enemies seem to get way too close for comfort, it makes swordplay very cumbersome outside of using a short sword really because the enemies keep to close quarters, even the ones with bigger weapons, to the point where I had to actively keep moving back a few times while fighting, since there's no grapple or shield bash or something to do when you're that close to an enemy, and sword physics can easily get in the way in those cases.
Progression also seems a bit off, you get an unbreakable shield a few levels in, and somehow the Temple which gets unlocked at the end of the game unlocks basic breakable ones? It'd be better if it was the other way around where you unlock sturdier but still breakable shields, but if you complete optional content you unlock these unbreakable ones. Also most weapons had the same stats or worse quite a few times, I don't think I've seen many weapons worth having other than the selection at the merchant's stock, it would've also been at least nice to have a way to sell items or something, so we could pick up all the loot in dungeons and sell it back.
Quality of Life changes I'd add would include automatic pickup of gold either when you or your weapon is within reach of the gold. Having to put the weapon away to pick up gold via trigger then re-equip gets old fast.
The Arena was quite fun, with different waves of enemies coming at you. The Temple less so, i'm pretty sure it was the same set of enemies every wave - fire heads, skeletons with greatswords and skeletons with shield and regular weapon. Where were the giants?
I don't know how I missed this game. I found it completely randomly on Steam while browsing (and I play VR since 2014). This is really a little gem. It doesn't try to aim high at all, and by doing that succeeds in the things it tries to do.
The atmosphere is great, the game is pretty much on rails but still there is enough room to explore around (it's not an open world and it is very well structured levelwise) and the levels are all different, avoiding repetitive stuff.
The melee is "light" (the weapons are weightless) but very satisfying. Ragdolls are juicy. Bow is the best companions and it feels nice (can't say the same about the spears at the end...).
Through weapon unlocks the fights always stay interesting. Simple inventory system. Slightly dark soulish feeling (no saving till you complete a level).
All in all, I liked it very much, I even completed the arena modes (not hard if you play on easy...).
5 hours to complete everything 100% (I did miss one secret in a level). Make sure, if you are a little bit experienced, to play directly every level in hard (in case you care about the achievements).
I am a 52 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing The Morrigan. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son found this game at Christmas, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. Loaded into the game world and started playing but I was stuck on what you were supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he helped me. Loved it as it was the best time had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

What a fun game! I enjoyed it very much and the controls were spot on. Graphics may seem cartoony, but when you start playing the visuals a very good.

Wow...this game is good. I own two other melee sword games, B&S and LT...and this to me, is so much more fun. The game just works. I am a VR dev and this game checks all the boxes for what a VR game should be. It's not too easy and not too difficult. Just right. Combat feels very fluid. One of the main things with VR is the pickup systems and the settings. You can change your character height in game, which every game should do. But some fail at this and have you restart to reset your player height, causing you to go back and forth between game and menu for settings. Morrigan allows you to fix settings while in game which is necessary.
I urge you, if you are looking for some good 'ol hack and slash fun in VR, this is the game you want. I haven't tried hellsplit yet, but so far this is my favorite.
"The Morrigan" is by no means a perfect game, but for a super atmospheric fantasy dungeon crawl in VR, it was a ton of fun!

The devs for this game kind of overlooked a few things that you'd usually expect in a VR game like this, such as some more VR interactivity with the world and enemies, but it actually was a super immersive game to play through.
A friend of mine said it was one of his favourites, and I kinda jumped in based on their recommendation. It's only 4 hours, so buyer beware if that puts you off, but I personally like the idea of a sizable game that even a new VR user could play in one session if they wanted. There's an arena mode if you enjoy the style of combat a lot, so that might be a bonus for some.

This game deserves a sequel. I hope more people buy it. Just the arena mode alone makes it worth it, but then there's a campaign, a whole load of weapons to unlock, and the combat itself is spectacular.
Sure, there are some minor issues such as the rare corpse glitching out and me being able to see past some textures, and the angle of the weapons being tilted not to my liking, but these are minor issues to me. No game is perfect.

Pro:
- Combattimento molto fisico, con tante armi diverse, bisogna colpire i punti giusti, parare (con lo scudo o eventualmente con l'arma)
- A dirlo sembra una banalità, ma scegliere quando andare in giro con una torcia o meno, e in quale mano (avendo quindi uno scudo o un'arma nell'altra) rende molto bene la sensazione di essere veramente a esplorare dungeon
- Livelli molto brevi (sono 13), ma non lineari, ogni livello ha zone segrete, percorsi laterali in cui trovare chiavi per sbloccare il percorso principale, e cose così
- Boss giganti! Quello dell'ultimo livello mi ha messo paura ahah
- Lo stile estetico funziona benissimo
- Livelli molto variegati, per esempio ce n'è uno molto verticale, in cui ci sono nemici arcieri appostati su torri che ti sparano frecce infuocate da feritoie, quindi usare le armi in mischia è pressoché impensabile. Quindi ho optato anche io per arco e frecce, avanzando man mano e posizionandomi sulle torrette conquistate e stando dietro le feritoie, infuocando le frecce con la torcia o con la brace che stava sulla torretta, abbassandomi per avere copertura e alzandomi per sparare, ecc... bellissimo. E non è l'unico livello particolare
Contro:
- Molti puzzle sono decisamente anti-intuitivi, al livello che non hai idea di cosa fare o addirittura che ci sia un puzzle
- Il primo dei suddetti puzzle che non capivo l'ho "risolto" grazie a un bug, sono riuscito per sbaglio a teletrasportarmi sopra il soffitto e poi da quella zona di nulla mi sono teletrasportato alla stanza di fine livello, bypassando la porta sigillata
- Non ho trovato alcun modo di mettere in pausa
- A volte le armi si incastrano in modo strano
- Con i nemici grossi si vedono i limiti del gioco, è abbastanza facile evitarne i colpi e attaccarli ripetutamente, e a differenza di quelli piccoli non hanno animazioni realistiche per reagire a questi colpi (il problema è particolarmente forte con il boss finale)
Che altro dire, dura 3-4 ore, e per quanto mi riguarda è un giocone, per la sua immediatezza e coinvolgimento fisico e spaziale.
I played through the intro long before I was ready to focus on the game, to ensure it played well for me on the Valve Index. It did, but unfortunately when the time came, I was both uninterested in replaying the intro and unsure of the plot.
It seemed simple enough, just repetitive at first. Without understanding my purpose or how to unlock weapons, it was a bit of a slog. Physics felt good, except when climbing. 95% of enemies were skeletons. AI was easy, even on hard difficulty. Some minibosses had the easiest AI to exploit. The final boss gave me trouble - aiming spears felt weird. Level design was good, though riddled with gaps and seams.
These issues were IMO worth the payoff in the last two levels. I think The Morrigan leveraged VR perfectly to create a connection between player and NPC, [spoiler]increasing the impact of the sucker-punch ending[/spoiler] for me.
I had a really fun time with this game. Don't let the visual through you off. The levels and combat in this game is excellent. There are plenty of hidden secrets to keep you coming back for more The Morrigan. The story is very well done and keeps you wanting to move through one more level to see what's going on. The boss fights are magnificent. More VR games should have boss fights like The Morrigan. The inventory and weapons holsters can get a little sticky at times, and the climbing is a little jank. However, the charm of the game overrules the negatives. Because of the short length you may want to purchase during a sale. I highly recommend this game.
Still has quite a few glitches and gaps in the level geometry, and I couldn't figure out how to beat the final boss, but I'll be damned if this isn't a pretty fun little VR dungeon crawler. Combat works well mechanically and is enjoyable, and levels are fun to explore. Well worth it at a good sale price.

Use to be great even with the janky combat system but evolved into a pile of ♥♥♥♥ that I can no longer tolerate.
It's quite basic but it's not without it's charm. I'd recommend on sale for a fun dungeon crawler to play through.
Excellent little VR game, the real star of the show is dynamic and engaging combat that just works perfectly. Some of the puzzles can be a little obtuse but it's never been bad enough that I've had to look it up yet.

une bonne surprise, ce jeu. il n a pas le succès qu il mérite au vue du nombre d avis ( pourtant la plupart positifs).
j aime ce côté oppressant: on se balade dans des pièces obscures, des pièges attendent votre trépas...
graphiquement, ça semble simple mais les détails donnent un style que j aime bien.
Et pour ne rien gâcher, les combats sont réussis.

스토리는 별거 없습니다. 아예 신경 안써도 상관 없음
전투는 나름 재밌습니다. 근데 마을에서 초반에 값싼 안 깨지는 방패 사고 검방으로 하면 패링이 필요가 없어져서 게임 난이도가 확 쉬워집니다. 구매하는 방패도 내구도가 있었으면 어땠을까 싶네요. 던전 구성도 VR에 맞게끔 지치지 않고 중간중간 쉴 수 있게끔 체크포인트도 잘 마련되어 있습니다.
상호작용은 그럭저럭 잘 활용하는 편인 것 같습니다.
편의성은 나름 괜찮은데 텔레포트 이동이 개사기입니다. 오른쪽 트리거 다다다다닥 누르면 우사인볼트 됩니다. 텔레포트로 회피도 쉬워집니다.
전반적으로 괜찮지만 난이도가 쉬워지는 트릭들이 꽤 많아서 조금 아쉽다는 느낌이 드네요.

Придбав цю гру попередньо прочитавши велику кілкькість схвальних відгуків, але нажаль гра не виправдала жодних сподівань. Головний її недолік - вона смертельно нудна. У грі всього 13 уровнів, я пройшов 10 з них (витративши на це 4 години) і не зміг змусити себе продовжувати далі. Уровні одноманітні, вороги також одноманітні, ніякого розвитку персонажу немає взагалі. Зброя також відрізняється тільки кілкістю дамагу, ніяких технік/механік по ходу гри ми не опановуємо. Увесь геймплей виглядає таким чином - заходимо на новий рівень (у напівтемряві і з туманом) винищуємо абсолютно однакових ворогів одними і тими ж рухами одного і того ж меча і позіхаючи чекаємо коли ж ця нудятина вже закнінчиться. Можна підбирати і використовувати іншу зброю, але це не має жодного сенсу, я пройшов усі десять рівнів з одним мечем та луком. У грі навіть немає озвучки персонажів, усі вони німі. Коротше кажучи, цю гру можна описати одним словом - нудьга. Вона монотонна, не захоплююча, жодного натяку на хоч якийсь фан. Максимум, що можна їй поставити, це 5/10. Якщо все ж таки хочете спробувати, краще чекайте на роспродаж.
very well made, creative levels, shockingly effective visuals

After playing Shadowgate VR I was looking out for more Dungeon Crawlers and stumbled upon The Morrigan. It has a unique graphic style and was a lot funnier than I expected from pictures. The game is build around a story and you can enter dungeon after dungeon to fight enemies, solve the puzzles and find secret rooms.
Depending on how complete you want to go you probably need 3-5 hours for one full run on easy. The game offers 3 difficulties to play in and an arena mode (which I did not look into yet). During the whole gameplay I encountered 2 bugs in the later levels which were quite obvious, so I just restarted the level and did a speedrun to my last position which was not too difficult as I already knew all the solutions up to that point and mostly levels are not too big.
The ending was really a blast, but I do not say more :)
Can definitely recommend it! Hope to see more games from the dev someday.
THE MORRIGAN ist ein Spiel aus dem Genre Dungeon Crawler.
Um eine Prinzessin aus der Gewalt der titelgebenden Geisterkönigin zu retten, müssen Monster erschlagen und kleine Rätsel gelöst werden.
Das Spiel beginnt in einem Raum der als Hub dient, von welchem man sich in die einzelnen Abschnitte des Spiels teleportieren kann, sobald man diese freigeschaltet hat. Außerdem erhält man von hier Zutritt zur Arena, in der man Welle um Welle von Gegnern niederschnetzelt, um Ausrüstungsgegenstände freizuschalten.
Man kann das Gebäude auch verlassen um in der Stadt das Angebot verschiedener Händler zu durchstöbern. Leider gibt es hier sonst nicht viel zu tun.
Die Kampfmechaniken fühlen sich sehr befriedigend an. Ich spiele gern mit Schild und Schwert und es macht gehörig Spaß die verschiedenen Gegner zu verprügeln. Noch dazu ist durch das stetige Aufwerten der Schlagwerkzeuge ein echtes Gefühl von Progression zu spüren.
Leider ist das Bogenschießen kein großes Vergnügen, ich empfand es als sehr ungenau und hakelig.
Überhaupt hatte ich manchmal Probleme mit der Steuerung, ich weiß nicht wie oft ich meine Waffe plötzlich verschwunden war, weil ich sie aus Versehen durch die Gegend warf. Wie man die Speere im letzten Abschnitt benutzt ist mir immer noch ein Rätsel, aber irgendwie habe ich es hingekriegt.
Die Grafik ist einfach gehalten, aber ich finde den Stil ansprechend.
THE MORRIGAN wartet immer mal wieder mit coolen Ideen auf und ich frage mich was die Entwickler mit einem größeren Team und Budget auf die Beine stellen könnten.

THE MORRIGAN is a game from the dungeon crawler genre.
In order to save a princess from the power of the titular ghost queen, monsters must be slain and small puzzles must be solved.
The game starts in a room that serves as a hub, from which you can teleport to the individual sections of the game once you have unlocked them. Also, from here you'll get access to the arena, where you'll cut down wave after wave of enemies to unlock equipment.
You can also leave the building to browse the offerings of various merchants in town. Unfortunately, there's not much else to do here.
The combat mechanics feel very satisfying. I like to play with shield and sword and it's a lot of fun to beat up the various enemies. Even more so, there is a real sense of progression due to the constant upgrading of the striking tools.
Unfortunately, the archery isn't much fun, I found it very inaccurate and clumsy.
In general I sometimes had problems with the controls, I don't know how many times my weapon suddenly disappeared because I accidentally threw it around. How to use the spears in the last section is still a mystery to me, but somehow I managed it.
The graphics are kept simple, but I find the style appealing.
THE MORRIGAN comes up with cool ideas every now and then and I wonder what the developers could do with a bigger team and budget.

Przyjemne VR fantasy w lekko voxelowej oprawie graficznej Cena steam jak zawsze wystrzelona w kosmos w porównaniu z jakością produkcji. jest dobra i działa. Ale grając miałem chwilami wrażenie, ze jestem w jakimś tech demo, a nie finalnej grze. Walka jest spoko, chociaż jest wrażenie jakby miecz leciał z opóźnieniem i płynnością bata a nie stalowego oręża, chodzenie tez potrafi być chwilami z jakimiś małymi gliczami.
Poza tymi subiektywnymi odczuciami to bardzo fajna gra. Nieumarły potrafił mi zrobić jumpscare wyskakując na mnie z grobowca, gdy chciałem mu odebrać klucz.
Great game! Recommend if you have a VR headset. That combat is great and has some interesting VR mechanics like climbing.
Can't wait to see what these devs make next!
This game is extremely fun. I got it in a bundle and didn't think it looked very good. But I gave it a chance and it actually amazed me. The graphics for this game makes it much more enjoyable. The mechanics are also very well implemented. By just looking at the trailer and pictures from the game it doesn't look like much. But it's definitely worth the asking price.
Fun VR dungeon crawler for 6-8hrs of game play. Loved the different weapon designs but most feel fairly same. Great looking but very easy bosses.

It would be cool if the Teleport Movement they mention supporting worked, but some levels require the player to climb on vines and stuff, and if your movement is set to Teleport only, you simply cant. Also, if move vignette is set to 100%, sometimes it stays on after moveing.

Печально блин всё это, на мониторе..уважающий себя геймер не стал бы в такое играть, а в вр приходится "кушать из-за голода" , и карнага хроника ваша любимая тоже фуфло, блин графа ну полное г... так ещё и карту грузит сильно, нормальную четкость не настроить, но все равно палец вверх, хоть и из лука норм не пострелять, какой д..к стрелы на пояс повесил да и лук кривой, хоть булавой намохался, а вообще лучше поиграйте в вр мод вальхейма, там и на стреляетесь и на мохаетесь и графа получше
I Played this a while back on my old vr setup but i kind of forgot it, alyx and other games came between.
Revisited it now and wow, i love it. Great enviroments, Nice heavy feel to the combat. Love The torch lightning 🙂 cool. Cool boss battles (i havnt finished it yet)
Going to play more today but i love it, feels like a hidden gem.
Hidden Gem. Great sword play with a working parry system. simple dungeon crawling gameplay with environmental puzzles mixed with some light RPG elements. this is the perfect first VR game to check out.
It's mostly a fun experience. Only one thing stood out as not so great: ranged combat. Otherwise the combat was fun and worked fine. The game has a chilling atmosphere which fits the game perfectly. The game's visuals were nice and it ran well. I Didn't notice any major bugs while playing the game.
It took me 6.2 hours to 100% the game so it doesn't have a lot of content.

The game plenty of traps, tricks, and combat challenges to keep you entertained. It's a short game that you can spend ten or twenty total hours in or blaze through in a day or two if you're super determined and dedicated to it. There are different weapons you can claim with coin or from defeated enemies. I beat the game and had a ton of fun!

The game is good but, like all games, it is not perfect.
The graphics, while low poly, are good and good textures are present on a lot of objects. The environments look good and have good lighting. The combat feels good with a good number of weapons, good weapon physics and decent AI. If you like the genre, you will probably enjoy this game as well but there are problems with the game:
- climbing does not feel that good (more noticeable during later stages)
- AI sometimes it pretty dumb (ex: archers will not fire sometimes although you do have line of sight and you hit them with your arrows; some big enemies will not be able to pass through a small door)
- some sounds are not perfect: light touches of weapon on weapon will not generate any sound; metal weapon on wood bench will make a metal-on-metal sound
- replayability is limited (I finished all stages on the hardest difficulty on the first run and the 2 arenas of waves of enemies do get repetitive after unlocking all the weapons that do give you a sense of purpose) but there are secrets in all levels and that could make you come back to them (I personally came back to the 2 levels that still had secrets I did not discover but I did not find the secrets after 3 replays... I do not know if the devs forgot to put them in or I am just to stupid to find them...)
- there is no voice acting but there is not a lot of dialog in general so it's not really a problem
- there are only 2 quick action slots (I think 3 would be perfect to have a shield, sword and a bow) but this is not a bit problem either
All and all I would give it a 7.5 out of 10

I didn't get very far. There is this... choppiness. As if the physics engine runs at lower frames per second than the game. This makes things incredibly confusing. The weapon trails behind your hand for example, and not in a good way. The dungeon was interesting - although for example opening doors was a chore. Walking with a torch in my hand also felt very wrong. I can't explain why. I played on Valve Index, by the way, maybe it has something to do with that?
And that's such a shame, because one thing that is great about this game is that parrying actually works like it should. It actually feels like you're blocking with your sword, not just following some lines. Oh, and the game actually tracks -how- you struck your enemy, as in which side of the blade. That's fantastic.
In the end, the controls simply made it a little too vomity for me to play. There are options such as vignetting and teleportation movement, but that for once wasn't the problem. It was the strange physics.

Def worth it if you find it in a similar bundle or on sale.

If dark souls and minecraft made a baby this would be it. Its pretty good just wish there was some voice acting and that the game was a little longer then 4 hours.
Es un juego sencillo, pero con variedad de escenarios, aunque los enemigos se repiten y se echa en falta algún tipo más, he de decir que ha estado entretenido con una buena jugabilidad, no es largo pero es un tiempo correcto, quizás tener todo al 100% ronde las 4-6 horas si te lo tomas con tranquilidad y la historia esta chula, la verdad que la RV es otro tipo de experiencia a parte.

There are some technical issues and a bit of jank with weapon and object physics, but overall this is a tense atmospheric dungeon crawler that proves to be a high tier entry into the genre.
