Let me start by saying that this game isn't a horror game. Yes, the plot is a bit dark, but that's about it. It's simply a point-and-click puzzle game.

The story starts off trivial for a detective game, but it's interesting to follow.

The puzzles are simple and easily solved using notes and in-game hints, rather than googling the answers (except for one puzzle, which I'll get to later).

The setting itself—the estate—is quite large. The game has a map, but there's no fast travel feature. The map also marks objects you can interact with, which is very convenient. The only downside for me is the lack of markers for closed doors and the special keys required for them, which forces you to run around the entire house looking for the right door when you finally find the key.

Now, on to the serious drawbacks.

First, from the very beggining, it's incredibly annoying that you have to return to the main menu every time you want to change settings. And you're unlikely to be able to adjust mouse sensitivity and volume on your first try.

Secondly, as I mentioned earlier, there's one puzzle in the game where the note for it is incorrect. And since some elements in the puzzle have no hints at all, it's very difficult to guess the correct combination by accident.

And the ending. Honestly, given how the story unfolded, I expected an interesting and dramatic conclusion. Yes, there are two endings. But all you get is a couple of seconds of different slides without words. That's all. And you can only see the second ending by completing the game from the beginning a second time, because there's no save feature, only one autosave, and after you complete the game, it's automatically deleted.

Overall, it's a good game. If you value gameplay and puzzles, you'll definitely enjoy it. But if you still want an interesting plot, be prepared for the fact that you won't get any grand finale.

Primeiramente, vou exaltar como esse jogo é INCRIVEL fazendo os enigmas e puzzles, todos os assets e itens são modelados tçao bem e os puzzles são bem legais, q pra mim é o que vale o jogo, a lore é bem feita e bem interessante, isso sem dúvidas. Agora os pontos negativos: 1- a falta de trilha sonora. O jogo é muito bom, mas cenas impactantes e descobertas magníficas passam batido e perdem seu drama pela falta de uma direção de sonoridade. 2 - os 2 finais são simplesmente paia. Não por serem ruins, mas pela apresentação deles ser ruim. É meio paia vc jogar e fazer enigmas por horas com uma história maneira pra no final receber a conclusão sendo umas imagens em sépia. 3 - e último, o que é provavelmente algo mais pessoal, meu jogo estava rodando tranquilamente, porém, salas com mais puzzles às vezes não carregavam tão rápido (possivelmente uma limitação do meu pc), o que me fez cair do mapa uma vez, e devido ao salvamento desse jogo, q parece salvar a cada microssegundo, eu fiquei preso no limbo, o que me fez ter que reiniciar meu save (a sorte é q eu já sabia oq tinha q fazer e a parte q tive q rejogar durou menos de 30 min). De qualquer forma, um ótimo jogo, e espero ver mais coisas do criador

I've had some perofrmance issues and problems with this one; approaching doors (which you do all the time as you can imagine) often caused lag or stuttering and made the camera bug out and sway wildly.
For me that was the only real annoyance.

It's possible that it's some kind of compatibilty issue with 21:9 ultrawide monitors, although the game does have a native setting for in the graphics options. But for example I also found that when examining documents the top of them was often cut off (that never caused any missed information, though, so not a big deal).

Or perhaps it's because I set the mouse-camera response to 100% because the default setting was excruciatingly slow and unresponsive.

All that said, if you can get this for the modest prices it is often listed at (I bought it for €2), you will get pretty much exactly what you might expect from the description and particularly the screenshots - so if those appeal to you, you probably won't be dissapointed and get a couple of enjoyable hours out of it.

There is quite a bit of inspiration from the "The Room" series in the puzzle design, a little bit of Edith Finch in terms of tone, and the atmosphere wandering through the mansion is quite like the original Resident Evil, with it's design being VERY reminisent of that famous mansion's layout and the music being similarly melancholy and atmospheric.
But it's all not so deep, not too complicated, an overall modest, unpretentious, no frills presentation and indie level of quality, with a charmingly spooky although familiar gothic story.

Charming and worth it for a suitably small price.

My wife and I played it together. It has a bit of a dark story. But the story is interesting. The hint system was not working for us. We only needed a walk through a few times. The game isn't cluttered with a lot of unnecessary things to click on. Overall the game played without any issues. It's a good 7 out of 10 and if you buy it on sale it's a good 11 hours of entertainment.

As a lover of point-and-click and escape-the-room games, I really enjoyed this one. It was a bit longer than I expected it to be, but I loved having so many rooms to explore. Even with the in-game journal, it's handy to take notes while you play so you remember where you found certain items in the event your inventory gets full. There was a lot to keep track of, so I appreciated the hint mechanic reminding me what to do next when I started going in circles.

Para quem gosta de jogos focados em enigmas e exploração, Crimson Manor é uma experiência bem divertida. O jogo coloca o jogador dentro de uma mansão cheia de mistérios, onde cada cômodo guarda pistas, objetos escondidos e quebra-cabeças que exigem atenção aos detalhes.

O ponto forte está justamente nos puzzles: muitos deles não são óbvios e fazem você pensar com calma, observar o cenário e testar diferentes combinações. Isso acaba deixando o progresso bem satisfatório quando finalmente conseguimos resolver um enigma por conta própria. Quem decidir jogar sem usar as dicas provavelmente vai passar várias horas tentando descobrir todos os segredos da mansão.

A ambientação também ajuda bastante na imersão, com um clima misterioso e cenários bem trabalhados que incentivam a exploração. Cada descoberta parece fazer parte de um quebra-cabeça maior.

No geral, é um jogo muito recomendável para quem gosta de desafios mentais e de investigar cada detalhe do cenário. Se você curte puzzles e jogos de exploração, certamente vai conseguir passar boas horas tentando desvendar tudo que a mansão tem a esconder.

Frustrant, je m'explique:

En points positifs:
- Les graphismes sont bons,
- La map est claire
- Une trad sur les documents en grande partie
- L'histoire à l'air très interessante même si on comprend asses vite ce qui se passe...
- Les énigmes ne sont ni trop simple ni trop difficile et il y à un conseil asses simple qui peut pop sur demande.

Les moins et pourquoi j'ai abandonné:
- Certains mots sont mal traduit, aussi, par exemple, si vous cherchez "le parloir", c'est le salon... Si on vous demande de "llamar" c'est téléphoner, de ptit mélange franco/espagnol parfois.
- Des bugs sur certains puzzles, des cadrans qui se décalent par exemple. Il faut quitter une pièce et revenir pour que ça se "remette bien".
- Ce qui m'a fait stopper le jeu; On ne peux pas modifier l'angle de vue sur les puzzles ce qui les rends "illisibles"! Exemple, celui avec les planètes, c'est à s'arracher les cheveux! il n'est pas difficile en sois mais ça me tend de ne rien voir des positions parce que mon perso n'a pas idée de se décaler pour voir laquelle est où!... Nan mais serieux... N'importe quel humain ferait ça en deux deux si ces yeux n'étaient pas focus sur un "angle de vue semi-trois quart vue presque dessous" XD Désolée mais je jette l'éponge... J'ai passé 3h sur ce jeu, la majeure partie de mon temps à été placé dans des "bon ben ça doit être à peu près là... Ou pas... ou?..." Bref, pas la patience...

En bref, vraiment sympa mais le coup des angles de vue m'a dégoutée... Heureusement que je l'ai eu en promo à 3 euros parce que 15, ça m'aurait fait mal... A la base je voulais un truc d'explo tranquille, solo, au bout de trois heure, je suis plus tendue qu'un string pour des trucs tout bête... C'est vraiment dommage, sans ça tout y était pour qu'il soit vraiment nickel!

A really enjoyable mix of mystery, puzzles and mansion exploration. The atmosphere created by the music and the beautiful, empty environment was intriguing and a little spooky at times without being full-on horror. The puzzles were neither too easy nor too hard, and while the exploration and puzzle-solving often aren't linear, I only got stuck once. Luckily, the hint system worked great: the hint I got was refreshingly straightforward without spoiling too much. The story was well-written and engaging too, though there are a lot of poor English spellings and grammar in the documents, which pulled me out of the immersion somewhat. If the English version got a good proofreading, it'd be perfect :)

This game is iffy for me. It’s one of those games that makes me wish Steam had a so-so option for reviews. On one hand, the puzzles are innovative and fun, but on other, so much time is spent running around the manor instead of actually solving puzzles. But that’s not my main problem with this game. My main problem is with the atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong, this game absolutely nails the Victorian, Early Industrial Revolution style, but it’s just… something about the cramped hallways, the lifelessness in the paintings, the lack of music that leaves you with just you and your footsteps… It all makes you feel like you’re not alone anymore. If you want a horror puzzle game without any jumpscares, this game is for you.

Es un juego moderadamente bueno, con los problemas de este tipo de juegos.

La interacción con los objetos es inconsistente, con esto me refiero a que puedes interactuar con algunos y con otros no, lo cual en ocasiones deja la impresión de que el objeto con el que se pudo interactuar tiene alguna relevancia con algún puzzle... después de todo pudiste interactuar con ese y no con otro. (Esa caja de pipas con 3 pipas faltantes, esa cajita con una nota adentro no son relevantes).

Generalmente la forma de progresar es: "Usas item/calve A en objeto B y obtienes item C". Pero casi al final hay un puzzle que da 2 objetos, el problema radica en que al obtener el primer objeto y sin tener precedentes, deambule mucho tiempo sin saber que uno tiene que interactuar OTRA VEZ con el objeto para obtener otro item. Otros puzzles se pueden 'bruterocear', lo cual me llevo a obtener algunos items antes que otros o no necesitar algunos.

Los textos en español son un poco deficientes pero se dan a entender. En general sigue estando "decente" para lo que es y por el precio.

Отличный представитель своего жанра, хоть все эти загадки в том или ином виде уже где-то решались. Атмосфера, мрачный сюжет, красота здания, пусть и для современных игр недостаточно детализированного добавляет приятных ощущений к прохождению.

Конечно бы хотелось, чтоб был русских язык, а не перетянутый на весь экран псевдокириллический текст.
Надеюсь в продолжении туалеты здесь не будут однообразными комнатами с фарфоровыми унитазами, где делать нечего, а добавят туда загадок каких. Вы бы еще ключи поставили на них .Зато в каждой комнате по пианино. Что не помещение, то там моцарт живет. Каждому видимо лень спускаться куда-то, поэтому как компьютер покупали -- пианино на человека. Мечта любого в том веке видимо: кресло, кровать, шкаф и пианино.

TLDR: If you like Painscreek killings, Nancy Drew, and other detective games, give this game a shot...on sale only! Mechanics aren't good, but the game itself is fun.

BUG: IF YOU CAN'T GET UP THE SERVICE STAIRS, ANGLE YOURSELF AGAINST THE WALL OR THE RAILING.

I struggled to decide if I should recommend this game to others. In the end, I did enjoy it a lot. It scratches the itch of the Painscreek Killings and Nancy Drew games. However, there are so many quirks to this game that also make it a slog to get through. The mechanics alone are the worst part. The developers should have just made this a fixed view game as trying to get up any stairs was a pain, and at points, had me questioning if I soft-locked myself because I couldn't get up them. Finally I found out that I had to angle myself a certain way to get up the stairs to continue the game. It's slow and laggy to respond when you just try to turn around or even keep going the same direction. I love puzzles and a challenge, but I found that quite a few puzzles weren't super intuitive, and when paired with the slow movement, made it frustrating. Also, while you have a map, you can't teleport to another location. Instead, you have to head back through the maze of the mansion to get back to rooms you just came from, across the house. This would be fine if the mechanics worked smoothly. I did really like that the map kept a log of the rooms that had unfinished puzzles in them, that was nice. The journal function was weird. I wasn't sure what caused something to be written in the journal or not. Some things got a journal entry and some didn't. The order clues appeared in the journal also confused me at times, making me think I missed important steps since the clues would skip entire pages from one to the next. I thought that missing clues would show up on the blank pages I had skipped since I did/found things out of order, but it didn't seem to matter. I wish they had either made every clue show up in the journal or let players type notes into the journal themselves. I also didn't realize at the end of the game that if I clicked on something, it ended the game without me investigating the other options. Not a huge deal, I can replay. All in all, I did enjoy this game, I just wish a lot of the mechanics worked better, smoother.

Crimson Manor is definitely a puzzle game. Is it a good puzzle game? No, not really.

Contrary to what you might think, when playing a puzzle game, in this game you won't be spending most of your time on puzzles. No no, most of your time will be spent running from location A to location B, through a beautifully designed mansion that could also serve as the Labyrinth of Minos.
The puzzles are quite easy and somewhat repetitive. The game also suffers from not having a "highlight" function, which lead to me not seeing and missing some items, prompting an extensive search inside this labyrinth mansion, that only came to an end when I searched the steam discussions and found a thread with a useful hint, leading me to finding a key I had overlooked. Now, why didn't I see that key, you might ask? Because the key has a brown rusted metal texture and was lying in a dark shadowy corner, inside of a brown wooden box. This was also one of the few times I used the hint function and it was utterly useless and didn't help me in any way.
The story is imo absolutely meaningless, uninteresting and predictable. But that's besides the point, considering this is just a puzzle game and most puzzle games have a bad story.

Considering you can get many other puzzle games, like the "Room" Series, for the same price and maybe even cheaper I can't recommend this game.

저택을 돌아다니며 단서나 아이템을 얻고
이를 이용해 퍼즐을 푸는 게임이다

퍼즐 난이도는 크게 어렵지 않으나
'그래서 이제 뭐함?' 하는 순간이 자주 온다

기억나는 것으로는 '진짜 이건 개억지다' 2개, 단서 없이 순서 찍기로 풀수있는것 6개?

태그에 공포가 있어서 점프 스케어라도 있나 했는데 그런건 전혀 없었다
집주인이 생체 실험을 했다는 묘사는 있지만 잔인하거나 무서운건 전혀 없다

대신 번역 품질이 정말 좋지 못하다
게임을 해보지 않고 텍스트만 받아서 번역했나 싶은 부분이 자주 있었고
퍼즐을 푸는데 오히려 방해가 되는 부분도 종종 있었다.

특히 가면 정렬 퍼즐에서 'were a woman with an oval green emerald on her mask'를
'타원형의 녹색 에메랄드색 마스크를 쓴 여자'라고 번역했다던가,
'That day, That month, That year'를 각각 '하루, 한달, 일년'으로 번역했다던가,
문제는 아니지만 'The vita chamber'를 '비타 카메라'라고 번역하는 등

다행히 오브젝트에는 영어 원본으로 써있고, 읽기 버튼을 눌러 한글로 읽는 방식이었지만
이러지 않았다면 매번 막히는 순간마다 옵션에 가서 언어 설정을 바꿨을 것 같았다....

Not a bad little puzzle exploration game.

Is the game perfect... no.

But it's a very good value game, given the low price.

It's not "horror" in the scary sense... more of a gothic horror game, but it's a cozy game you can explore without any tension. You can take your time.

A very big spooky old mansion with mysteries to explore, and a lonely feeling... reminds me a little of "Gone Home" but a good century earlier.

Seems to be some minor "bugs" - a couple of the penny comics may not be collectible.

Quite nonlinear, you have a lot of freedom to go to rooms in any order, and there will be a lot of backtracking between rooms.

Puzzles are not too hard... not frustrating.

The "hints" system is a little strange... maybe slightly buggy, and when hints are given, they are very un-subtle, and finding a new room or object can suddenly change the objective or hints.

A solid recommendation for a good escape game set in a manor emptied from its residents.

I'll start with the couple of issues I noticed in the production value.

The most glaring one is in the sound department: the sound lanscape is pretty barren to say the least. One noise for opening a door (in a game taking place in a huge manor with dozens of doors), and no sound at all for the footsteps. This is very detrimental to the game's atmosphere. The main ambient track is nice and ominous...but if you were to tell me that it was the only track from the OST, I would be inclined to believe you, judging by how you'll listen to it from beginning to end.

The other gripe I've had with the game (a minor one this time) is how the clue feature tends to be a bit spoiler-y; not in the sense that it is telling you too much...I mean, it is the point of asking for a clue. But more in how it tends to guide you towards the solution to puzzles you sometimes were not aware of. I used the feature three times, and thrice, the character inner thoughts were telling me to explore something in a different room or using something I had yet to unlock.

Now the good news is, I barely had to use the feature, and that’s because most of the puzzles are easy to graspe and relatively fast to solve. Now, one might regret a lack of intense challenge; but I'd argue that, in an escape type game, the density of puzzles and the rhythm and flow of finding one, engaging with it, and unlocking either another puzzle or a key to solve one you already found, that danse is the fun, not necessarily being stuck on a particularly clever piece of puzzle.

And The Inheritance Of Crimson Manor is pretty damn solid in terms of pacing. You are constantly juggling with, at the very least, two or three puzzles, and are always eager to find keys to unlock the next aisle of the manor. So you're never stuck on one puzzle with nothing else to look for.

The game's map and journal system are also well made to keep you on track, avoiding constant back and forth to remember a clue you read in one room that helps solving a puzzle in another room. Each unsolved puzzle is marked on the map. And each clue you find is marked in the journal. There might be an argument that a harder mode could force the player to note these things themselves. But again, I think for a game with this many puzzles, it was the right move.

The game can also rely on a classic but well executed art direction. The manor is filled with details and each room and area is distinct. The 3D models are well made and well lit: a stark contrast with the amateurish sound design, the game looks good! I also appreciated the use of classical art piece to fill the rooms and corridors’ walls. And the extra attention to details with family portraits that bring some uniqueness and personality to the absenty members of the family.

Finally, a couple of words on the plot: in short, it’s okay. In long, while it’s not super original, it is engaging enough to want to see it to the end. My only real issue with it lies in the lack of nuances with the portrayal of the main antagonist and his goals.

TL;DR
Not groudnbreaking and a bit muted, but a super enjoyable escape game in a gothic manor.

很復古、令人懷念的解謎AVG，謎題和提示都還算清楚、有脈絡可循，算難度適中的小品。

Прошел во второй раз. Первый раз увидел игру на осенней распродаже в 2024, но решил сначала пройти , а потом посмотреть- стоит ли покупать или я опять куплю что-то неинтересное. Прошел ( и прошел бы с первого раза на все ачивки, будь игра в стим) , но пока раздуплялся прошла скидка, а полных денег , тем более по меркам моего региона, игра не стоит. Тем более, что была объявлена разработка кооп версии.
В этом году игру релизнули с саундтреком и комиксом в стиле внутриигрового "Penny Dreadfuls" , который мне при первом прохождении очень зашел ( то прохождение выдалось весьма атмосферным, что я очень ценю в играх ) . Можно сказать саундтрек и комикс "продали" мне игру.
Теперь о самой игре:
+ Особняк хорош. Нарративный дизайн в игре выстроен на славу ! Первый раз было сложновато , но проходя во второй раз- таких проблем уже нет.
+Атмосфера, в первое прохождение было жутковато. Ощущение страха из статичного "Шороха" , такого типа ,хотя и в разы слабее. (Куда все делись?)
+ Головоломки хороши ! Правда, что в первый раз я "бежал вперед паровоза" , что во второй помнил решение некоторых из них ( к примеру, головоломку с книгами из библиотеки". )
+музыка
+- Графика. Она хороша, для игры купленной по скидке. Полной цены , на мой взгляд, игра не стоит во многом из-за графики.
-При повторном прохождении у меня пару раз были артефакты. Ноут тот же, что и год назад.

Pretty middling puzzle game. Worth the playthrough, but this irritated me quite a bit. There's at least 3 puzzles that are just trial and error with no logic, two puzzles that have a logic but that logic is not explained anywhere, and a bunch of puzzles that are genuinely creative and rewarding to figure out. The game supposedly saves your progress, but I never saw a "Continue" button on the main menu, just a "New Game" and a "Reset" that had the same ultimate result. The hint system broke partway through and kept directing me towards a puzzle I had already long solved, so I had to use walkthroughs online for further hints. I was pretty bummed that the Hints broke because they were nice vague nudges in the right direction rather than the walkthroughs going "this is the solution, I have no idea why this is the solution but here you go". There's some minor grammar and spelling errors among the lore, but other than that the story was pretty darn solid and intriguing. I don't regret playing this, it's just not my favorite and I'm not going to go hunting to figure out what the last achievement I'm missing is.

Wow I wasn't expecting this when I started playing.
So I played Blue Prince before this and I can tell you that Blue Prince was inspired by this game. So many similarities that I won't say here because they are spoilers. It's not a roguelike though it's a puzzle game through and through. It's not mind bending but you will feel a sense of accomplishment when you figure out the puzzles.
I really enjoyed my time at Crimson Manor and I give it a 9/10

Je n'aime pas mettre une note négative quand je finis un jeu, mais là quelle galère c'est pas possible.
Je vous le conseille de le faire en une fois sinon c'est mort. Ils ont bien rajouté sur la carte les endroits des énigmes qu'on a pas faites mais pas les portes qui ont été déverrouillées ou non. (cette p***** de porte de stockage que j'avais zappé!)
Ne comptez pas sur les indices pour vous aider "vous devez mettre les médaillons à leur place", j'en ai qu'un de médaillon sur quatre!!!! Aide moi à trouver les autres!!!!
Bref j'ai du aller chercher une soluce sur internet sauf que personne ne fait forcément les énigmes dans le même ordre en fonction de comment tu visites le manoir, qui est un labyrinthe de l'enfer.
Les controles sont horribles, je pense que le jeu n'a pas été prévu à pour être fait à la manette.
Le fait qu'on ne puisse pas ramasser certains objets ça m'a soulé, j'en ai pris des photos pour me souvenir de certains trucs.
Les énigmes sont rarement intéressantes. J'ai plus l'impression d'avoir joué à fort boyard à force de courir après des clés pour ouvrir des portes et des coffres aux quatre coins du manoir.
C'est la même musique tout du long et à force de me perdre dans le manoir j'ai maintenant des PTSD sur les grincements de portes.

A wonderful mystery game, I recommend to whomever enjoys escape room style games, this is a very large area in which you work in so there's actually a challenge/real life feeling. Only issues I noticed are the hint and task features not working properly if you accidentally stumble upon something earlier than they expect you to so it gets stuck and doesn't work anymore. That's why you probably will need a walkthrough to get yourself the needed hints :D.

Pros: This is a well designed puzzle game with logical puzzles which, for the most part, are just right in terms of difficulty. It has an appropriately creepy atmosphere, and there's an interesting dark story behind the manor which you uncover along the way. My wife and I play a lot of escape room and mystery games, and found that this combined the immersive atmosphere and diegetic storytelling of a game like Painscreek Killings with the sorts of puzzles you'd expect to see in an escape room game like "The Room".

Cons: There are a few bugs which should be addressed. I'm not sure how it happened, but I managed to break the hints system at some point. I think one puzzle was replaced in an update, and the new one may not have been properly setup to work with the hints system (I had to lookup a guide to figure out how to proceed at one point, and saw that it had been changed). The puzzle resolved correctly and gave me the information I needed, but its icon remained on the map while the hint system became froze at that point in the game (only ever pointing me to that puzzle). This may have just been a fluke based on the order I solved other puzzles in, but I can't say for sure.

Aside from that, there are one or two instances of strange grammar that is probably due to translation, but it was never anything so jarring as to really take me out of the game. Occasional translation issues aside, the various notes and letters that you find along the way are all well written and really help you to piece together the story of the manor and it's residents.

So overall, it's a good game, and one of the better ones in this genre that I've played. I hope the developer takes a look at the hint system bug though, as it was a bit of a drag to have to go look online for a solution when I got stuck

The Inheritance of Crimson Manor is a standard puzzle exploration game with an intriguing story and ending. Overall, I think the puzzles are pretty solid. Some of the tools and clues made the experience more immersive and engaging. The manor has tons to explore and a lot of info to gather; I did end up taking my own notes on top of the journal notes the game provides, simply because I don't like backtracking if I can help it. The music and ambience fit the gothic tone, and I enjoyed finding all of the Penny Dreadfuls.

I was expecting the game to have some spooks due to its "horror" tag, and realize from playing that the horror is in the story. If the tag is deterring you from playing this game, I think you would still enjoy it if you like an interesting (albeit dark) story. It was a fairly short playthrough for me, but entertainment value makes sense for its price. This is a pretty good puzzle game, and I definitely want to check out more from these devs!

The Inheritance of Crimson Manor ist ein wahres Kleinod für alle, die atmosphärische Rätselabenteuer lieben. Schon beim Betreten des Herrenhauses spürte ich die liebevolle Detailarbeit: kunstvolle Möbel samt Dekorationen, stimmungsvolles Licht und ein viktorianisches Flair, das mich - herrlich musikalisch untermalt - sofort in den Bann zog. Fast jede Ansicht war mir einen Screenshot wert und die Musik nie störend.

Die Geschichte entfaltet sich subtil durch Briefe, Notizen, Bilder und Fundstücke. Wer sich darauf einlässt, entdeckt nach und nach die Geheimnisse des Hauses, ohne dass je das Tempo gebremst wird. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass das Spiel ohne billige Jump Scares auskommt und stattdessen auf Atmosphäre und Rätsel setzt. Letztere waren clever, abwechslungsreich und stets fair. Ich hatte nie das Gefühl, dass die Lösungen unlogisch oder willkürlich wären. Gleichzeitig sorgte die nicht-lineare Struktur dafür, dass ich immer mehrere Wege offen hatte und meinem eigenen Erkundungsrhythmus folgen konnte.

Außerdem gibt es eine sehr hilfreiche Funktion: Auf der Karte werden die noch offenen Rätsel markiert und verschwinden automatisch, sobald sie gelöst sind. Allerdings kann es passieren, dass man den dabei erhaltenen Gegenstand übersieht oder nicht sofort aufhebt. In solchen Momenten stand ich gelegentlich etwas ratlos da, weil die Markierung verschwunden war, der wichtige Fund aber noch im Raum lag. [spoiler] Und das Ende fand ich sehr unbefriedigend, ein oder zwei weitere Szenen hätten die Geschichte meiner Ansicht nach besser abgerundet [/spoiler]

A really cool game (if you dont use the german language). The tips and some few texts are a bit weird to read and hard to understand. But the puzzles and riddles are very cool and not too annoying. The story is pretty cool, even though it would be very cool to have a save after choosing an end, so that you dont have to play it again. The lense was sadly not often used (i think you need it only 3 times). Even though it sounds like its bad , its actually really cool and reminds me a bit of The Gordian room 2, but its a bit better. A really cool game. Im really looking forward to more games. I can really highly recommend it

I had such a blast playing this game! Very linear in terms of achievements, got them all by the end of the game. House is beautiful and you'll get lost a time or two just checking out the detail. It did seem like the circular puzzle repeated a time or too but wasn't the end of the world. Only had to use a guide one because the hint system wasn't hinting enough for me on a particular puzzle. I very much enjoyed to the end......10 hours later........Great job!!!!!

Sehr gutes Spiel. Spannend und nicht zu einfach. Die Rätsel sind genau nach meinem Geschmack... eine Art Escape Room in dem man nach und nach Zimmer freischalten muss. Super Story.

The Inheritance of Crimson Manor an atmospheric 1st person adventure for players who enjoy puzzle/escape room games. Overall the puzzles aren't too hard, had to use a guide just one because i just didn't have the right idea to solve it. Mostly there are useful little hints in the environment, but you still have to use your own brain to find and solve things. Exploration is important.

The graphics are overall nice, but the anti aliasing is really bad. Use super sampling if possible. 3d Models and textures are good, not great. But this is an indie game, so i don't expect triple a graphics. music and sound design are nice too. Dark areas without a light source are a little too bright for my taste, but that might be intentional.

Fans of games like Myst, The Room or 7th Guest series should take a look. It's not a masterpiece, but it's a fun game for a few hours and the architecture of the mansion is really nice.

I liked this game. The puzzles were generally fun and there was a good flow to them. The map helps you with cues to find the most important things again and the hallways are different enough such that I didn't find orienting myself too hard.

A decent puzzle game, none of the puzzles were very difficult to solve. The issues of not remembering where to use certain keys can be eliminated with one simple act....taking notes. When I play a puzzle game like this I take notes of what locks I find so that later on when I get a key or a combination I have a list of things that haven't been opened yet. Story was ok, didn't break any ground there, but on a technical note the game had some framerate slowdown in certain areas. Overall, solid puzzle/hidden object game that will entertain for a few hours.

首先！这游戏我觉得不差啊！！！
完全不恐怖，因为压根没有人出现，也没怪，从头到尾就是你自己在大庄园里晃荡开门收集，纯纯找真相但又有剧情，步行模拟器+解谜，喜！
提示功能很好，完全无时间限制，随时一按，而且他提示也不是直白的告诉你答案，而是指路，比如让你去哪个房间看看哪个东西，因此解开了还是会觉得自己是大聪明！！很有参与感！但是估计机翻，个别时候影响发挥！比如客厅结果我换到英文一看，噢，原来是绘画室！咋翻译出来的！误导人！
收集这块，基本你只要什么抽屉都开一开，柜子开一开，基本漏不了！话说还有惊喜咧！欧洲人还学《孙子兵法》是怎么回事？
总体场景我喜，房间解锁的顺序设计蛮连贯的，环环相扣，剧情完整（虽然俗了点），就是没有下蹲键有时候抽下层抽屉略出戏……手柄做一些精细操作时小难受。
我流程约5小时，噢对，成就党们请注意！！结局前补齐收集！

顺序是先看中间文件说明！左边是好人结局，右边是坏人结局，你一旦拿上了左边或者右边的东西就结局了！
倒是这个不影响成就，只是我上来傻乎乎直接点了第一个道具就突然cg走起来了……想起森林，我也……被动结局！！！！

평가 게시글 중에 페인크릭스 킬링즈와 비슷하다는 글을 보고 데모를 한 후 구매하였습니다.
페인크릭스 킬링즈 만큼은 아니지만
분위기가 비슷하다 느꼈고 재미있었습니다.

개인적으로는 더 룸과 같이
망원경을 이용한 연출 등의 신선한 부분들이
있어서 꽤나 즐겁게 플레이를 하였고
몇가지는 난이도가 어려웠어서 공략을 보고
하였지만 전반적으로 방탈출과 추리를 동시에
하는 듯한 요소들이 있어서 취향에 맞았습니다.

단점으로는 길이 너무 미로같아서 헷갈렸습니다.
길 찾다가 플탐이 한시간은 날아간것 같아서
아쉬웠습니다만 가볍게 즐기기에는 적당했던
게임이니 추리나 방탈출 좋아하시는 분들께
이 게임을 추천하고 싶습니다.

More backtracking than puzzling, some strange moon logic and brute force solutions, poor user interface that will actively mislead you about a solution not working (see: telephone puzzle) and intermingles clickable interfaces with controller-only interfaces in a very strange way. I can't recommend this at all.

Eine wunderschöne begehbare Villa mit vielen Rätseln und eine guten Story, die bei Poe angesiedelt ist.
Wenn man erst einmal herausgefunden hat, das die Symbole auf der Map, noch ungelöste Rätsel darstellen, irrt man nicht ganz so verloren durchs Haus :-)
Eine zurückhaltende Soundkulisse und gute Musikuntermalung, runden das Ganze ab.

I hate to give this a thumbs down, because it's not a bad game, per se. The first couple hours played were fine. The map was a bit confusing, but manageable. But then more and more rooms got unlocked so I would get more and more turned around. It ended up being more frustrating than what I felt like dealing with. Personally, I don't think a puzzle should be introduced at the beginning of the game, only for the solution to appear hoooours later. I had a notebook, but even then it was just a bit excessive. Unfortunately, I didn't end up finishing it, because I just got too tired of being turned around and unlocking yet another chunk of house.
Again, it's not a bad game, it just ended up being too tedious for me and my chat.

Это очень качественный продукт. Что мы имеем? Внушительный особняк с множеством, по большей части, закрытых, дверей, которые мы непременно откроем. Добротные головоломки, милые коллекционки. Графика, я бы сказала, упрощенная, но приятная. Персонажей в игре нет. Бегаем в полном одиночестве, но оно и
к лучшему. Никто не мешается под ногами. Интрига на месте, концовки шокирующие в наличии.

Игра-середнячок. По факту, это поиск предметов, поданный в виде адвенчуры. В наличии большой двухэтажный особняк, по которому мы очень много слоняемся туда-сюда в поисках ответа на вопрос, [strike]подходит ли поместье для сквоттинга или нет[/strike] что стало с хозяевами. Сюжет есть, но его не то, чтобы много. Он, скорее, для мотивации игрока. Вся игра - сборник несложных головоломок. Как и в любом поиске предметов, мы сперва находим одну или несколько задачек, а потом ищем предметы, которые дадут доступ к её решению. И так передвигаемся от одной головоломки к другой до самого финала. Поэтому ценителям адвенчур игра вряд ли понравится, а вот любителям поиска предметов вполне.

Часть головоломок можно решить перебором. Для всех есть подсказка с готовым или почти решением. То есть, если не понятно, что с этим делать, какой код вводить, возможно, стоит продвинуться в другом направлении. Порядок, в каком игрок будет решать головоломки, почти произвольный. Если решить какую-то до получения подсказки - никаких проблем не возникнет. Очень глупой показалась задачка с телефоном. Нужно "позвонить" доктору, зная только имя и фамилию. В записной книжке есть номера, но нет его. Поэтому надо взять первую половину номера от такого же имени, а вторую от такой же фамилии. Именно так телефонные книги и работают, да.

Так как особняк большой, быстро начинаешь путаться, где какую головоломку видел. Поэтому в игре есть внутриигровые подсказки. Они говорят в какой комнате какой предмет, из имеющихся в инвентаре, можно использовать. Правда, один раз мне игра сказала задействовать ключ (с сердцем), который я забыл взять, тупо не увидев его.

Погружение в исследование портят несколько мелочей. Если нерабочие зеркала уже давно реальность. То как относиться к закрывающимся дверям? Если открывать ящики, сундуки, они так и останутся открытыми, пока их не закроешь. Но двери стремятся закрыться так быстро, что иногда не успеваешь через них пройти. Какая-то странная попытка сэкономить ресурсы. Так же во многих ящиках лежат текстуры записок... которые нельзя прочитать. Некоторые можно. Но не читаемых в разы больше. И на каждую ты наводишь курсор, не зная, можно конкретно эту прочесть или нет. Так же у первого сейфа с дисковым замком почему-то нет щелчка при прохождении нужного числа, а у второго есть. Ещё я натыкался на странный не критичный баг в шкафу и ванной близняшек, когда двери шкафов дублировались. То есть, нужно было открыть одну пару дверок, а за ней сразу ещё одну. То же происходит, если быстро открывать ящик, он может продублироваться. Ну и в подобных играх обычно есть возможность присесть, чтобы лучше увидеть содержимое нижних полок, тут нельзя.

С переводом на русский непонятно. Я видел скриншоты времён до выхода игры и там он присутствовал. Но в самой игре выдаётся какой-то хоть и читаемый, но бред, где буквы перепутаны местами, вроде "НлВАь ИаРА". Больше всего мне нравится "фувствительность мыши".

В игре две концовки, отличающиеся парой слайдов. Но если выбрать одну, сохранение удалится. И нужно будет проходить игру заново, чтобы посмотреть другую картинку финала.
