I'm surprised I put off reading this masterpiece of a visual novel for so long. Without any spoilers, all I can say is this novel will make you feel all kinds of emotions. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys reading visual novels.
前面那些莎士比亚式的悲观小故事节奏太慢太劝退，但是下半部剧情反转还不错

后期剧情越来越好，以至于起初抱着看几出戏剧想法的我，也要因为后期的呼应收束而改变态度。音乐也相当好地配合了剧情节奏。除却有我本身喜好元素的原因，作品本身也值得如此自然而然地走下去，顺着剧情走到月光流淌的那一瞬间。那份所谓迷惑的情意，也许比一开始部分古典小说式的凄美还动人。愿故事的你们幸福。

Giselle and Michel is the best (romantic) relationship in fiction, they're both individual and well written so that they can stand as their own while also making it so that you couldn't imagine one without the other. They rely on each other enough to where it seems like they need each other, but it doesn't make them toxic, they improve themselves for each other and learn to get over their trauma through each other. And all the while they only knew each other for a month. This doesn't mean they are perfect people, they have their flaws (mostly Michel) but they love each other despite this, and that is what love is. They don't need sex, attractiveness or gifts to love and please each other, they may have fallen in love with other people if they didn't meet, but they would wait for thousands of years for the other to show up. When people talk about true love this is what I imagine. We all need a Michel/Giselle in our lives.

Por mais genérico que isso possa soar, eu sinceramente não consigo pôr em palavras o que este jogo representa para mim. Ele aborda tantos temas, e de maneiras tão delicadas e pertinentes, que é difícil resumir. Mas vamos lá:
A primeira coisa que quero destacar é o quão bem escrita é essa história: nada aqui é óbvio e todos os plots te pegam de surpresa. Você nunca sabe o que vai acontecer; é como ser jogado num turbilhão de sentimentos movido apenas pela vontade de descobrir o próximo capítulo. É incrível, e perturbador, como essa visual novel consegue provocar desconforto, angústia e desespero. Para mim, mexer com alguém nesse nível é muito mais profundo do que apenas fazê-lo chorar.
Uma das lições centrais que retiro daqui é a ideia de que, mesmo sabendo que uma relação pode ferir e que terá um fim doloroso, ainda assim vale a pena se entregar. Prefiro uma vida cheia de dor e alegria do que uma existência patética em que nada é sentido. Mas isso não esgota o ponto da obra: ela também subverte expectativas (especialmente no final 5). Não vou comentar detalhes dos finais, cada um interpreta à sua maneira, mas a forma como a obra conta esse desfecho é impressionante. Ela mostra que, muitas vezes, colocamos pessoas em pedestais que elas nem conseguem alcançar; esperamos que estejam sempre lá, que pensem como nós. I am certainly not an avid reader, my reading skills are far below the average book enjoyer, yet i still enjoyed this experience. The music was a big part of why i enjoyed it, it made it easier to keep reading and taking breaks as well, but overall, the story was well put together and fun to read, i recommend this game to people who cares about a good story and are ok with not having much gameplay, this is a visual novel with not much in the way of choices but following along the story will certainly get you hook with its story alone.

打了一段时间了，忍不住来说一下感受。首先，毫无疑问，剧情和要表达的价值观是好的，就是前期节奏慢铺垫很多，熬过前期撑到后面完全就是反转又反转很精彩。
一开始我只以为是普通的美强惨剧情，看到后面才慢慢明白米歇尔这个角色背负的性别方面千百年长久的议题，吉赛尔所被困住的纯洁肮脏与坚守，主要角色刻画得很生动，后面回收伏笔没有那种很俗套的惨的感觉，而是那种顺其自然的苦，好像咬一口能从舌尖涩到胃里。
我不是什么很能共情的人，但是看到半还是会忍不住感慨。或许人生的议题不在于什么，谁来谁去谁留守了都不重要，要去见本心(胡言乱语)
ps：看到那个米歇尔不是男性那里，我还真有点小高兴，震撼bg要变成超级震撼女同了吗orz，结果居然是双性……这么想想也很合理。剩余部分还没看，期待再反转
I'm a published bilingual writer, and when I heard about this VN, I thought I was in for the best prose I could ever find in a videogame. This is so highly rated that this plot could rival something like Watchmen or Anno Dracula, with prose as polished as Michael Chabon's. I found that The House in Fata Morgana was too generic and pretentiously written for no good reason. The biggest problem: it felt like a chore. Bland characters and a mystery I have no reason to care about. There's nothing interesting here to hang on to. And I don't mind some mindless fun. I really amn't an elitist snob. I enjoyed stuff like VA-11 Hall-A, or even Bible Black back in the day. Those aren't the brainiest things to read, but they are fun to read.
I suspect most of the people praising this VN don't read much outside of manga adjacent media. I'd recommend Fables: The Wolf Among Us or Blacksad: Under the Skin, instead.

跨越千年的悲剧与救赎的故事，反转非常多（甚至可以说是有点过于依赖了），虽说是非常不错的故事，但总感觉最后一章差点意思，导致终章的救赎感没有特别好的体现出来，等我补完纯真挽歌与现代篇再进行总评吧

С одной стороны - интересные, взрослые, готические сказки. С другой, несмотря на хороший язык, местами прям ну ооооооочень затянутые и нудные. Порежь процентов на 30 - хуже бы вряд ли стало.
С одной стороны - потрясающая музыка с натурально гипнотизирующими вокальными партиями, часть из которых еще и на латыни. С другой - невозможно нормально усваивать текст (а тут желательно читать вдумчиво, чтоб понять связь всех историй), когда тебе в уши льются не только ноты, но и слова, пусть и на непонятном языке.
С перерывами прочитал три главы и склоняюсь к тому, что дальше ознакомлюсь с сюжетом через какое-нибудь видео. Благо, дотошно пересказывающих и поясняющих эту историю - в достатке.

A masterpiece of a Visual Novel that ties all loose ends by the end. the soundtrack is angelic as well as the art and backgrounds (I HIGHLY recommend to download the Remaid of dreams patch) In my opinion a good amount of the backgrounds in the patch are done better, I just feel the background in the original is to abstract but you can toggle between both using the patch anyways so that's not a problem. Every door is filled with a loveable cast that has much depth to their character writing. One issue was the pacing of the story near the end was starting to stretch on for just a little too long, regardless it was all worth it in the end and 80% of the time, time would fly by so fast I didn't even realize I was reading for 3-6 hours. Tears were shedding the entire time during the end, and a big part of that was the masterpiece soundtrack.
Very worth it for the price, especially when it goes on sale.

剧情正如画风一般，浪漫忧伤而不落俗，人物塑造优秀，前期埋下的各种伏笔，也在后面不同的叙事视角中像串珠般一一扣合；完整讲述了一个凄美沉重，互相救赎的故事，也探讨了人性、历史与结构性的内容。在三月的梅雨季通关全篇，甚至引起了我的不少共鸣。如果对于某些情节的叙述能再精炼一些，全篇体验应该会更好（为此快进了一些剧情，这也是我17h通关的原因）。
配乐无疑是另一大亮点，编排精良，细腻烘托出各个时代的不同氛围，在几个略长的篇章里，也顺带维系着我的沉浸感。
OST的演唱者是MAO，悲伤且带着一缕愤慨的嗓音，简直与本作无比契合。这也给了我一个惊喜，因为她同样驻唱了我印象深刻的另一部同人悲剧专辑《MHLL》。这两部作品都值得细细回味。
My first visual novel ever. I don't have enough words to express how much I love this game. Everything was perfect, from the BGMs to the characters and the story. I was hooked until the very last second and went through many different emotions during my journey. I really recommend it for beginners and for people who aren’t very familiar with reading in general. It’s a truly unique experience and very different from a classic book or manga.

剧情结构固定，前四扇门讲述独立的悲剧，再展开讲述者的身份以串联线索，最后玩家由故事的旁观者转为参与者。前半部分日轻化的台词被反复强调，和时代背景割裂严重，所谓的叙诡也只是聊胜于无。但加入第一视角后，无论是叙事节奏还是语言表现力都突飞猛进，无望的自我探寻和角色间真挚的情感被表现得淋漓尽致，浓厚的宗教色彩也丰富了作品层次。但这样的水平并没有持续多久，到后期又转向老套的avg模式，人物的转变与结尾收束都太过仓促，这也让期待许久的结局变得索然无味。
除此之外，背景音乐也给游戏增色不少，无论是角色还是场景都有对应的独特听觉体验。立绘风格鲜明，但诡异的服设实在不敢恭维，另外明明男女主的感情是全作灵魂之一，却总要安排些奇怪场面，仿佛在暗示玩家一样惹人不适。

而出色的人物塑造则是游戏的另一大亮点，无论是主要角色，还是次要角色，都是那么的让人印象深刻，在游戏中跨越千年的轮回中，无论降生于哪个时代，无论是否保留记忆，那些镌刻在灵魂深处的人格始终引导着他们走向彼此，然后接近，然后伤害，然后原谅，然后再次接近。
妹妹奈莉从天真烂漫到因爱生恨的转变，经过精细的铺垫与情绪的累积，令人信服且心碎。野兽巴斯蒂亚渴求杀戮却又渴望平静，他的挣扎与沉沦带有一丝古典悲剧的宿命感。资产家雅各布在时代浪潮中被金钱蒙蔽双眼，他的傲慢让深爱他的妻子一步步走向绝望。
即便是那些次要角色，也都拥有完整的生命轨迹与情感逻辑。他们不是推动主角故事的工具人，而是自己故事里的主角，只是恰好在这场跨越千年的悲剧中，扮演了某个角色。
而贯穿始终的白发少女吉赛儿，则是这场悲剧中最令人心疼的存在。她承受了最多的苦难，却依然选择相信与等待。所幸当真相最终揭开，当米歇尔穿越时空试图拯救她时，那份持续千年的等待终于有了回应。
这些角色，就像真实存在的人，有自己的喜怒哀乐、挣扎与遗憾，也正因为如此，他们的悲剧，才更能触动人心。
所幸，到了游戏的结尾，众人终于跨越了千年的悲剧，迎来了这份迟来了千年的幸福。让人不由得感到满足与怅然...
[h2] 当油画与歌剧相遇 [/h2]
本作的美术采用了一种极为独特的油画风格。深沉的色彩、古典的笔触、略带扭曲的人物体态，初看时或许会觉得粗糙，但随着故事深入，这种画风与哥特式恐怖浪漫的基调完美契合。那些被悲剧浸透的面孔，那些在绝望中挣扎的灵魂，只有用这样厚重的笔触才能承载。
而音乐则是本作的另一大亮点。游戏收录了大量背景音乐，大多为欧式古典歌剧风格，大量使用人声吟唱作为乐器的一部分。虽然对于国人来说多半是听不懂词意的，但这些听不懂的歌词也无需翻译，本身便是情绪最好的载体。当故事抵达最高潮，某种宏大而哀伤的旋律响起时，那种真相层层递进的震撼感足以让人屏息。
[h2] 小众化的遗憾与细节瑕疵 [/h2]
当然，尽管我认为游戏值得细细品味，但不可否认的是在游玩过程中仍存在一些缺憾，但也许正因如此，让它始终保持着小众化的特质。
首先，游戏的画风的确十分贴合游戏风格，但是初见时也不得不承认这种色彩偏暗的油画风格并不讨喜，对于习惯了二次元萌系画风的玩家来说，这就就成为了它传播的一大阻碍。
其次，游戏没有角色配音，加上系统比较简陋，或许会让部分习惯了配音的玩家感到不适，尤其是对于一款以叙事和情感为核心的视觉小说来说，配音的缺失，多少还是会削弱一些情感的感染力。
最后，游戏的节奏偏慢，前期的故事铺垫较长，需要玩家有足够的耐心才能体验到后期的精彩剧情。
[h2] 结语：当海市蜃楼散去之后 [/h2]
《海市蜃楼之馆》不是一部容易安利的作品。它需要耐心，游戏巨大的体量极容易消磨玩家的热情，但往往真正的精彩需要一路坚持。它需要接受缺点，阴郁的油画画风、无配音以及复古简陋的系统等以上任一一点与主流审美相悖的元素都可能成为拒绝它的理由。
但它值得。
当所有门扉被推开，当所有真相被揭示，当那场持续千年的等待终于迎来结局，你会发现，那些在馆中生活过的灵魂，那些被时代碾过的生命，那些在绝望中依然相信希望的瞬间，都已经成为你记忆的一部分。
海市蜃楼终将消散，馆也会如幻影般消失。但它就像一场漫长的梦，醒来之后，那些悲伤与温柔，依然会在脑海中久久回荡，让人回味无穷。

Fata morgana foi incrivel do inicio ao fim, o jogo me prendeu bastante e diversos aspectos me chamaram atenção; a tematica gotica é incrivel, os personagens (por mais odiaveis q alguns possam ser, tambem sao incriveis), toda a atmosfera, as construções e desconstruções q o jogo passa ate o final, é tudo carinhosamente bem feito, pra mim essa é de fato a melhor visual novel q eu ja li. recomendo profundamente e admito q apesar de amar umineko(minha vn preferida e antiga numero um em meu rank) fata morgana é dolorosamente superior. (me doi admitir isso..). e valeu, joca, pela recomendação e por ter me presenteado com essa masterpiece

decided to buy it after getting it from the seas, its such an amazing visual novel I dont think ive consumed anything this well made. For those who say its bad, i really dont believe that youve tried to get into the game, even if you did you are likely biased by someone elses influence into hating it. Please give Fata Morgana a try and enjoy (in my eyes) the best visual novel ever made.
