Me gustó, no tiene bugs, los gráficos están excelentes, y te hace sentir realmente en una sala de escape. La verdad espero que saquen otra versión porque fue buenísimo, vale la pena la inversión. Exitos!
A good game, with interesting puzzles--though the clues for numerical codes are a little too difficult for my teeny tiny brain without a guide. I only stopped playing because the controls in a certain area of room three are too slidey and I just couldn't get past. If your keyboard is less sensitive, you might have better luck than I!
This is a fun game, with a couple of small annoyances that I will leave unmentioned for you to discover yourself (since they are likely subjective). The game is short, and the puzzles are mostly good. Once you've completed it, there's not much left to do other than run through again as fast as you can to get the achievements, but beating a level in under 15 minutes is not as satisfying as beating Resident Evil 4 in 5 hours. Yeah, that's a crap comparison, but there's really no need for speed achievements in a puzzle game when the puzzles are the same with each play through. What I mean is there is no skill in completing a puzzle completely when you already have the answer.
OK, I lied. The one puzzle that annoyed me was the xylophone one. I understood the mission, it just takes a few attempts to get the exactly right answer.

decent room escape game
Before and after playing it, I read the reviews (obviously keeping an eye for the negative ones) and I truly don't understand why people are being negative and/or leave bad or "neutral" reviews for the game.
It was fun to play, yes short (took a little bit more than 2 hours) but enjoyable nonetheless and it has the price of a coffee.
The only times I was stuck were when I hadn't noticed a couple of things (not a spoiler; some things turn, open, need noticing etc), other than that it was a delight.
Every puzzle was logical, there were no "leaps in logic" at all, even the absurd change of artistic decoration between the rooms makes sense in the end.
I absolutely enjoyed it, would recommend it wholeheartedly!

This is a borderline recommend.
I decided to recommend it based mostly on the price.
While much of the game is nice, it does have it's instances of "guide damn it". One key was hidden so well, only visible for a second while you're at another location, that I would have never found it myself, not in hours. Another time the solution was pretty moon-logicky, imagine using a crowbar to open a cookie jar, and yet another time the solution could only be found by brute forcing, not logical thought. No help system is in the game either, so in that cases you have to search externally. Thankfully there is a nice text only guide on steam.
It's also very short, just 4 rather small rooms. Expect about 2 hours, I just have more because I went after the achievements.
Oh and your progress isn't saved inside rooms. Just after each one.
This game also does the cardinal sin of puzzle games. On the normal game mode, it hastens you along with a ticking clock, and half it's achievements are behind time gates.
How are you supposed to enjoy a puzzle game if you're hurried along?
I hate time limits in most games, but in puzzle games is the very worst place.
The game would have fully deserved a "not recommend" for that alone. It's saving grace was that there is another game mode without a clock (insultingly called "easy" even tho the puzzles stay exactly the same) and it's low price.
8/10. Puzzles were enjoyable and not too hard. Didn't need the walkthrough really except for the egyptian room.

The puzzles are great! I enjoy the 3D aspect and also appreciated the ease of movement. I just wish that the game would save mid-level—currently, it only saves when you complete a level. Also, I wish there were hints available for when you're stuck. It would be nice if, when you're done with an item, it would eliminate it from the inventory list to keep things cleaner. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience!
Over all a good game with interesting puzzles. The ticking timer added a sense of urgency that made the game more intense. Some of the puzzles weren't exactly intuitive and sometimes the mechanics made it difficult to find needed pieces or buttons, but we had a fun evening working through it.
It is a short game (4 hours max - took us 2 hours) with a fun little cliffhanger ending. I'd replay to try to grab the rest of the achievements but I don't think I'd set the kids up to play - they'd probably find it too frustrating.

No, it's ♥♥♥♥. The butterfly puzzle is a joke, £2 is far too expensive to experience this game, the developers should be paying people for the waste of time having played this crap.
I play lots of puzzle games, and while most of the puzzles in this game are reasonable, some are quite unintuitive, which made for a very frustrating experience. The game was available for free to play on Steam, so I guess I can't complain.
This is an absolute waste of time. Like so many so called intellectually stimulating games, I gave up in disgust after a couple of hours of trying to deal with a completely obtuse task that left both of my hands in cramps and completely frustrated. Why can't developers leave these asinine tasks to platform genres and simply focus on providing some intellectually stimulating entertainment? At least this happened relatively early in the game. I've have other occassions when I have spent a lot more time before facing this same sort of problem. BTW an aside to the folks at Steam - the type face in the text box for reviews is very small and there does nor appear to be a spell checker. For us folks in the older bracket a littel help here would be appreciated.
The puzzles are great! I enjoy the 3D aspect and also enjoyed the ease of movement. I just wish that in the middle of the level it would do a save. Currently it only does a save when you have completed a level. Also wish that there were hits available. Also would be nice if when you were done with an item it would eliminate it out of the inventory list.
Very interesting game, short, sweet, to-the-point. You will spend about 40 to 60 minutes per level, exactly right when it comes to difficulty, not too demanding, not too easy. I highly recommend it.

After playing a couple of rooms i find it is fairly challenging and surprisingly fun. I actually lost the first time I played but tried again and got the room in a decent time. If you like escape room situations this is a pretty good game but try to get it on a discount because there are only 4 rooms so it won't take long.

Main problem is that the puzzles are either absurdly simple object interactions or weird convoluted "look at painting to get a clue" without getting a lot of feedback if youre on the right track or not.
The timer on top makes sense given the concept but is entirely useless.

But be warned: in the last level there is a puzzle where you have to replicate a melody, so people like me with no musical ability will find it near-impossible. For me, what you hear played to you sounds nothing at all like what the xylophone plays, it was that baffling. Unfortunately, you can't brute-force the solution. I have managed some musical puzzles before, in games like Kairo and The Guest, but this one sucked.

Overall a good collection of puzzles and it doesn't take that long to complete. Each room saves after you complete them so you don't need to do it all in one go. The last room may trip you up with the xylophone puzzle if you're not musically inclined (like me). Recommended for all who love a good escape/puzzle game.

Gra jest spoko, ale ta zagadka z 4 pokoju SPOJLER z ksylofonem dla dzieci - mam odtworzyć muzykę z gry na konsolę. Ja nie jestem w stanie odtworzyć dźwięków ze słuchu i zgaduję że wiele osób ma ten sam problem. KONIEC SPOJLERA. Od takiej gry oczekuję zagadek logicznych a nie zadań dla absolwentów szkół muzycznych.

Die vier Räume, aus denen wir nacheinander ausbrechen, sind thematisch wild durcheinandergewürfelt (wir sind auch mal in Ägypten), was einen Abzug in der B-Note gibt, weil diese Stillosigkeit doch augenfällig ist.
Es sei denn wir spielen, ein Live Escape Game zu spielen und haben gleich für vier Räume gezahlt, denn die Räume, besonders der allererste, wirkt wie hierfür geschaffen. Nein, also Geschichte ist nicht, finde ich.

Es ist, möchte ich mal sagen, ein typisches Escapegame. Man sucht den jeweiligen Raum gründlich ab, setzt die Objekte passend ein, sucht nach Hinweisen auf einen einzugebenden Code und löst ein paar andere Aufgaben. Die Vielfalt an Rätseln ist angenehm, man muss auch mal einen Text analysieren oder Töne nachspielen (wo ich aber immer schlecht bin).
Manchmal kann man sich heraussuchen, wo man zuerst weiter macht, im Großen und Ganzen ist das Spiel aber linear.
Der Schwierigkeitsgrad variiert, von einfach bis schwer ist alles dabei. Die meisten sind aber eher einfach und die schweren sind zumeist nur schwer, weil man etwas übersieht. Zwei Mal musste ich mir extern Hilfe besorgen, eine interne Hilfe gibt es nicht.
Es gibt zwei Spielmodi, einen mit Zeitlimit, einen ohne. Das Zeitlimit ist mit einer Stunde pro Raum sehr großezügig, und man würde es nur reißen, wenn man irgendwo echt festhängt. Gespeichert wird nur automatisch und nur nach Beendigung eines Raumes.

Technisch in Ordnung. Die Grafik ist einfach gehalten aber für ein Indiespiel OK. Der Sound passt auch. Viel davon gibt es aber eh' nicht. Die Steuerung per Maus ist auch gut.

Ich habe etwa 2h für einen Durchgang benötigt. Für den zweiten Durchgang etwa 45 Minuten.
Die allermeisten optionalen Errungenschaften sind beim zweiten Durchgang kein Problem, denn dann sind alle Räume leicht binnen 15 Minuten machbar.
Es gibt ein paar weitere optionale Errungenschaften, nicht wirklich schwer.

nice game, I recommend it. In the 4th level there is a wooden door that is locked, I wonder if there is a hidden key for the door? You can also zoom the pinboard, perhaps you can carry out an action there? You finish the game without going into the closed door..

I really think the devs did a great job with the puzzles of this game. Some types I have never seen this type of creativity before and I've been playing these types of games since the original "Myst" in the 90's. The devs have a very good mind for making the kinds of puzzles this genre of games requires. I LOVE the fact that these puzzles aren't easy but require some actual REAL thought AND paying attention to detail to detail to solve them.

전체적인 난이도는 보통 수준을 살짝 초과하는 편이에요.
거기다가 괘씸한 퍼즐이랑, 억지라고 느껴질 수 있는 것 까지
포함하면 어려운 수준이라고 볼 수 있겠습니다.
저는 어려워서 많이 헤매다가 유튜브 영상 보고 깼는데
다른 건 퍼즐 실력이라 치더라도 마지막 사무실 챕터에서
실로폰 연주하는 거는 좀 심했다고 생각해요 ㅠㅠ
안그래도 꽤나 어려운 편인데 그런 거 까지 나와버리니
당황스러웠어요.. 그래도 분량대비 가격도 괜찮고
재밌게 할 수 있게 만들었기에 긍정적으로 평가합니다 :)

The Escaper is an awesome first person, escape room style puzzle game that introduces some unique puzzles, but at the same time is not super difficult. There are four total rooms that you are tasked with escaping, each one connected by super quick loading transition screens. The controls feel really nice and the graphics are great. Time to complete really varies depending on how many of these types of games you have played, and whether you use a guide for portions or not. The different rooms keep the feel of the game fresh and interesting. Overall, it was a fun puzzle game to complete without taking a long time to 100%! The achievements were fun to obtain because they are tied to how fast you can finish each room. I literally can’t get enough of escape room puzzle games!

Je to skvělá oddechová únikovka. Dobře se ovládá a často je dost intuitivní. Když nespěcháte, tak vám zabere tak dvě hodinky času, a když chcete získat všechny achievementy, tak se dá celá proběhnout za necelých 40 minut. :-)
It's a great relaxing escape. It handles well and is often quite intuitive. If you're not in a hurry, it will take you about two hours, and if you want to get all the achievements, the whole thing can be completed in less than 40 minutes. :-)
Te encuentras solo en una habitación sin saber que paso ayer... así que deberás tocar todo como un maniático para poder salir corriendo de ahí!!
Juego de escape de habitaciones similar a The Room 1, aunque este no tiene una historia de fondo, solo ir avanzando de habitación con el fin de escapar de ese lugar. Sus rompecabezas son variados y en su mayoría sencillos pero que llevan varios pasos y te mantendrán revisando toda la habitación un buen momento. Cada capitulo se puede resolver de 30 a 60 minutos fácilmente en su primer intento.
Lo único malo es que no se puede guardar el progreso en medio de una habitación, deberás finalizarla si quieres que se guarde el progreso, pero como son cortas este punto casi que es algo insignificante.

Had to look up a few hints for things that IMO were too unclear. Such as things hidden under a table, that wasn't obviously clickable. But still had a lot of fun.

over all great value. 4th lvl bit bland. and 1 "puzzle" just forced me to resit a maths test that I failed to show up to 30 years ago! I mean really!? why am i gonna use all of maths most pointless hand me down algebra symbols ever ignored and filed away in a mathematicians least used ruler draw + 1 time i did a thing to get a thing to find a key to open a box to find a sand bag,when there was a movable sandbag in the corner the whole time!! That said I enjoyed it, its good in most other places and its cheap! come oooon! u know ya gonna get it, its inescapable ........Not literally obviously!

Although not the graphic experience you would get from playing a game like The Room, The Escaper does a great job on offering a handful of challenging escape rooms.
The achievements are somewhat disappointing in that improving you run through time will be automatic if you replay a room. I would've rather seen some Easter Eggs there.
Bar that, The Escaper still provides for enough hours of entertainment to be worth your while.

The Escaper ist ein Point and Click Adventure im Stile von Myst und fährt auf der Schiene der Escape-Rooms. Der interessante Part ist allerdings, dass die Räume mit einem Timer versehen wurden. Demnach müssen die Rätsel schnell gelöst werden. Storymäßig scheint jemand Spaß daran zu haben, jemanden beim Lösen von Escape-Rooms zuzuschauen. Viel mehr gibt es nicht.
Die Grafik ist ansprechend und stimmig. Die wichtigen Elemente sind gut erkennbar und es gibt eigentlich kaum Stellen, wo ein Gegenstand gemein versteckt wurde, wenn überhaupt. Soundtechnisch kommt das Spiel völlig ohne Sprache aus, die Soundeffekte sind dabei passend und gut. Die Hintergrundmusik wird nicht nervig und passt zu den Räumen.
Die Rätsel sind abwechslungsreich und zum Teil gut in die Welt eingefügt. Ab und zu muss man über den Tellerrand denken. An wenigen Stellen gibt das Spiel kein Feedback, wenn ein Rätsel gelöst ist. Die meisten Rätsel werden inaktiv, wenn man diese gelöst hat, in einem Fall dachte ich allerdings, ich verstehe das Puzzle nicht. Den genannten Timer kann man übrigens auch aus machen, pro Raum werden aber 60 Minuten gegeben, das reicht in der Regel vollkommen aus. Ich empfehle ihn an zu lassen, da man so einen gewissen Stressfaktor hat, den ich selten in einem solchen Spiel gesehen habe.
Alles in allem lohnt sich das Spiel für Rätselfreunde. Ich habe 2 Stunden gebraucht, hätte es wahrscheinlich auch in kürzer geschafft, wenn ich verstanden hätte, dass ich das Rätsel mit den Rohren von Anfang an richtig hatte, es jedoch nicht bemerkt habe. Wer eine Story erleben will, der findet hier keine Freude und wer Action will, der sowieso nicht.

Pretty cool puzzle game. I like that you have to solve the problems without any kind of direct hint, all of them are portraited on the scene and you have to interpretate them.
From the point and click perspective, dragging things is tedious, as the cursor continues moving when the object you are dragging is stuck.
Its fun, some puzzles are easy, some of them are a little more difficult. I would add a visual help for the audio puzzles as there is people that have a very bad time with those.
For it's price point, I can recommend the game. It was a fun time killer, not extremely challenging, but not brainlessly easy either. I found it way easier than any IRL escape rooms I've done, but that's to be expected. My main two points of criticism is: Achievements being time based (makes no real logic in an escape room game, it's just there to force you to replay it, even though you know all the puzzles already. It's not fun, it's just tedious and an effort to make you play longer), and the fact that the game uses way too much GPU when starting up. I get using more GPU to render in things, but I was using 100% of my GPU in the menu for like a solid 3 minutes, it was kinda wack and my GPU did not like it. Either way, the game overall is a plus for me. I really enjoyed the actual gameplay and would gladly recommend it to my friends. Great way to spend 2 hours.
Not Recommended- but with caveats (you may actually enjoy this game!).
First off- the game runs fine, no issues on 2 different machines (1- i9 9900K/ 2070 RTX Super/ Windows 10/ 16 GB DDR4) (2- i9 11900K/ 3080 RTX Ti/ Windows 10/ 32 GB DDR4).
The graphics are a bit underwhelming- some are beautifully detailed, some look like undressed stock assets from the Unity Asset Store.
The main issues I had were- some of the puzzles were seriously too easy, while others were ridiculously difficult or pure trial and error exercises, and some of the minigames (looking at you Highway Run) were pure tedious frustration. The other issue I have is that some achievements seem to be broken. The Quick Escaper achievements did not unlock as advertised, despite me escaping each room in well under 30 minutes each (R1: 26 minutes/ R2: 20 minute/ R3: 20 minutes/ R4: 25 minutes) in my first playthrough of all 4 rooms.
The game may take multiple playthroughs of each room to cut times down, but even getting faster times on each one, neither the Quick Escaper or Flash Escaper achievements unlocked for me, even though I beat the times for each one, multiple times.
So if you are hoping for quick and easy achievements- this isn't the game for it (at least not right now, with the achievements broken).
The controls are a bit fussy and clunky- I did get used to them, but still- dragging the ball through the maze with the magnet, for instance, the objects do not always "stick" to the mouse cursor and respond as expected. Some input lag for mouse and keyboard inputs as well, but that may be HW related on my end, so YMMV.
Am I mad that I bought the game and played it?
Nope.
It was okay- "meh" perhaps, but not terrible. But the downsides outweigh the upsides on this one for me, and I can't recommend it for most of my friends who enjoy escape room puzzlers, especially with the broken achievements.
The game does have Trading Cards (that take forever to drop all of them) that are (as always) overpriced on the Steam Marketplace at the time of this review. So getting the badge for this game may cost you a bit or require a long wait for the lowest card prices, and thinking you are going to "get rich" off of the cards is silly- the market does not move quickly- this is not a high-demand set or badge.
So- 50/50 on this one for me- which gets it a Not Recommended.
YMMV- you may enjoy the game if you aren't worried about achievements.
(TL;DR- don't go into this thinking it'll be as good as The Room series of games- it isn't.)
I echo a lot of thoughts of the other people here. It's okay.
It doesn't have anything on the giants of the puzzle genre and such... But if you like those, you are going to run out of them. This is perfectly worth the money when you've finished great and are willing to settle for good.
For the developers though, no one likes audio puzzles. I'm glad there was only one, but that was one too many.

Cute, short little puzzler. Worth an hour of your time, especially if you like logical puzzles. No story, reminiscent of "The Complex" in that you go from one locked area to another (you can imagine a horror game where you never escape, only discover an infinity of rooms...)

I really enjoyed this game. It was a bit short, but all in all, very good. Graphics looked excellent. I actually played on my touchscreen.
I didn't love it, I didn't hate it... but after finishing the 4 rooms I didn't want more. My review is: "eh".
The puzzles were pretty difficult (a good thing), but the graphics are not great and the controls are clunky (though I did get used to them after the second room). There is an audio puzzle at the end, which I just googled the solution for, because... just no. Audio puzzles are the worst.
That said, while I wouldn't actively recommend it to someone (there are better puzzle games out there)... it's not bad for the price.

The Escaper is a single-player game with 4 separate levels: a vintage office, a basement, inside a pyramid, and in the lobby of the escape room itself. Meta. It took me 3 hours to complete in its entirety, and at just $4, I think it's well worth it.

Easy at times, but good puzzles and ultimately a fun escape challenge.
Enjoyed this litte escape room game. You will play though 4 rooms, each with it's own theme (but no theme across the rooms).
It are pretty compact rooms, so even if you are stuck, if you keep looking, you will find your solution.

Short but sweet. I didn't need to resort to hints or guides, but felt challenged and had to leave the game a few times and return with a fresh brain.

'The Escaper' is a small, short, and rather enjoyable 'escape room'-game where you must solve riddles to escape from four (independent) rooms.
Each room can be finished in about 15 minutes or less if you know what to do; but it takes longer for a first playthrough, depending on how many times you get stuck.
Unfortunately, there's no option to save your progress within a room, so you must finish each room in one session. However, this wasn't an issue for me.
The gameplay revolves around using the mouse, which is intuitive; but at times, it feels somewhat clumsily implemented.
The riddles are generally not overly difficult, but you need to pay close attention, as it can be easy to overlook a clue or item crucial for progress. Having something to take notes with could be helpful for certain puzzles.
One thing to note is that the game doesn't provide hints if you get stuck.
If you don't find a solution and prefer immediate answers (rather than finding it on your own), you can always consult the guides in the community hub of this game. No judgment here; I've done it myself!
It is also worth mentioning that there isn't any kind of story.[spoiler]Maybe except at the very end of the game.[/spoiler]
In summary: if you enjoy 'escape room'-games, you will likely find 'The Escaper' enjoyable. Nonetheless, there are better alternatives available, such as 'The Room' games.
Escape room type game. Medium to hard difficulty. There were no story-line here, just pure escape room experience with time count (you can deactivate it if you want more relaxing pace). I finish the game in 2 and half hours. No jump scare. Recommended for those who like escape room type of game
