Tetra's Escape is a platforming puzzle-game all about blocks. Blocks named Tetras and it is down to the players to all that they can, to save them and make the most out of their special ability.

Storyline

Via the means of shape-shifting, Tetras can turn into different Tetrominos and used to fill holes and master puzzles, in an attempt to reach the portal on the other side of the level. But, don't just go expecting a linear adventure, as sometimes crafting a staircase to the heavens is the only way to make it to the end, so if you dare to dream big and go block mad, you might just have what it takes to bring all the Tetra’s back home!

This puzzle platformer is amazing! There is a very helpful guide some saint posted on here. You will probably need it to get all the collectibles. You can actually 100% the game (as far as Steam achievements are concerned) after level 7.7, but will have to make it through 8.8 to finish in-game achievements. Highly recommended!

このゲーム無理です。
面白さはあると思いますけど、「一手戻る」が出来ないのが致命的。一度変身を決定したら解除できないので、決定とキャンセルを間違えたらどうにもなりません。せっかくがんばった手順が全て水の泡です。人間って間違うもんなんですよ。
回転と反転、変身の種類を選ぶボタン、三つもボタンを押して都合のいいものを選ばないといけないのも疲れる。間違えやすくもなります。
それともっとイヤなのが、難易度を上げる要素の、取るのが難しいトロフィーがあるんですけど、このトロフィーの場所を後出ししてくるのがキツい。盤面に星が三つあって、その星をすべて集めないとトロフィーが現れません。で、もう行けなくなったところにそれが出てくることが多々ある。取ろうと思ったら当然やり直しです。がんばった手順がまた水の泡。
面白いゲームだと思いますが、上記のような仕様がキツすぎる。

TETRA's Escape is a console ported low poly minimalist 3D rendered 2D retro platformer... hold on. No, it's not a platformer. It looks like one, but it's not. Don't be fooled. It's a pathing puzzle game. There's no "action" involved, you just move one grid square at a time. There's no jumping, you just climb up blocks, collect stars, and hit the exit. The challenge is that you can only climb one block high gaps, and you must switch between multiple "Tetras" (aka untextured low poly cubes) to solve the puzzles each level represents. Shallow, pointless shovelware... but it's from the Russian shovelware spammers at Ratalaika, so expectations here must be low... this is just another Russian shovelware cash grab polluting Steam. Thanks so much, Steam Direct, surely this has made gaming so much better for all of us.

From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. The lack of textures is a method that lazy devs often use to disguise their lack of talent/interest in doing the graphics properly and trying to disguise it under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It looks bad as a result of their decisions, and that's just another reason to avoid it.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers.

Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players, and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.

It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.

This game features a small number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.

TETRA's Escape has the greedy, cash grab price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.

Recommended, but not quite for me.

First off, its a decent game. It has the proper elements of a puzzle game that gets more challenging as you go. It controls well and has some increasingly difficult levels to beat. The graphics and sound are very plain, the atmosphere and story are bland and the overall experience didn't pull me in. For the price and content, you do get a good value, but I personally wasn't able to get hooked like I was hoping I would.

I was surprised with this game! It's simple and extremely fun (reminded me nintendo's "Pushmo" game) .

It has its relaxing moments, as well as some extremely challenging ones (mainly for those who want to complete all the challenge that each level offers - 3 stars + trophy).

I saw that the game didn't have any guides, so I created two: one for achievements and another to complete 100% of the 64 stages!

Tetra's Escape is a great puzzler with well thought out levels, mechanics, and progression.

You play as tetras (squares) each with their own transformation abilities working together to escape through a portal. The game builds on similar puzzlers to add depth to the genre and provides optional objectives (stars and cups) for a decent challenge. Progression is done really well with tutorials peppered throughout to keep the game approachable and new. If you're into puzzlers, this game is a great buy even when it's not on sale.

立方体キャラを動かしたり変形させたりしてゴールに導くパズルゲーム。シンプルなゲームの割にGPUパワーを使っていてプレイ中はファンがかなり回る。変形確定してしまうと元に戻せないので失敗したらステージをリスタートしないといけない。確定後でも戻せた方がテンポ良くプレイ出来たと思う。
自分の環境ではゲームパッドが効かなかったので、キー割り当てアプリでキーをゲームパッドに割り当ててプレイ。キーボードの場合、使うキーはwasdもしくは矢印キーで移動、tabキーでキャラ交代＆変形中の回転、Enterで変形＆変形確定（変形候補が複数ある場合は移動キーで選択）、BackSpaseキーで変形を戻す（変形確定後は戻せない）、escキー又はMキーでポーズメニュー。ステージをリスタートする場合はポーズメニューからリスタートを選択。以上、参考までに。

Good brain using game.
I love this kind of game,
but the quantity of this game is so few that playing time is too short.
In addition, one world is made up of about 6~8 levels, but

Игра не настолько ужасна, как кажется на первый взгляд, но тяжело разобраться в управлении. Например, на втором уровне показывается как переключаться между тетрами, но клавиши для этого указаны неверно. В целом, игра обычная для такого жанра, но покупать ее я не рекомендую, ведь есть игры гораздо лучше.

[b]tetra's escape[/b] starts with a vortex swallowing all the tetras, colored cubes just minding their business, and your task is to save all of them.

at its core it's a platformer. each level has a bunch of tetras and most of them can turn into various tetrominos (shapes you know from tetris), and if at least one of them reaches the exit, you're good. there are 3 stars to collect on each level, and it doubles as a 3-star rating system that's used to unlock further level packs, and grabbing all of them on a level reveals an optional trophy to get.

the trophy's location is fixed, but only revealed when it might be too late, as it's possible to cover it with blocks prematurely or make it unreachable. [b]there's no undo[/b], which puts a damper on experimentation, you'll be restarting levels a lot, but most of them aren't too difficult or long, and once you know where the trophy is, you can adjust your solution if necessary.

there are 64 levels in 8 packs, one level unlocked at a time, and a certain number of stars and every level completed in the current set are needed to unlock the next level pack. [b]no timer or anything[/b], but getting the trophies is not that easy, nor all 3 stars in some cases. I was expecting to breeze through it in a couple hours, but it took more than that, and towards the end with shifting gravity and perspective I had an even harder time.

[b]controls are okay[/b] and displayed both for gamepad and keyboard, as every game should, but they aren't rebindable. mouse also works to some extent. level selection is a bit cumbersome, gotta move the mouse to the edge or use the keyboard, but if you move the mouse around, keys stop working to select a level.

tab switches between tetras, or you can select them with the mouse, sometimes more convenient and faster, but the number keys could've been used to make it easier. arrows or wasd to move, space to jump up a block. enter or a click on the shapes at the bottom of the screen lets you change tetras into tetris shapes right where they are, the base is marked with a dot. this area sometimes covers important parts of the level because you can't zoom or pan around freely, but it's not a huge deal most of the time.

where you place tetras is important, but you can rotate shapes with tab, or mirror them with ctrl, then place them permanently with another enter or click, or hit backspace to change them back into a walking thing. and of course blocks can only be placed where there's no terrain or other tetras. new mechanics are unlocked as you play, not everything is available from the start.

[b]the presentation is fine[/b], graphics are a bit basic and very colorful, and the music was too cheerful for me, but I've heard worse. windowed mode and resolutions via the unity launcher on startup, separate volume sliders and in-game achievement screen, not only through the steam overlay, and a bit of broken english and typos here and there.

it's a fun little game, recommended for an easy time, but also for a bit of a challenge, and it's very kid-friendly and not too expensive, should take about 5-6 hours to fully complete.

a hint for the [i]early death[/i] achievement: it doesn't require you to be quick, just go against the tutorial message and kill the tetras instead of completing the level. 1-6 is a good one to get it, for example. and try 3-2 for the [i]forget something?[/i] achievement (complete a level without any stars).

My game of the week this week is TETRA’s Escape.

It’s a fun little platforming puzzle-game all about blocks!

Tetras are the name of the little blocks you control and with them you must craft your way to collect all the stars, trophies along the way and most importantly make it to the end and free those little guys!

You have some fun little abilities like shape-shifting so you can turn your Tetra into different Tetrominoes and use them to master the puzzles.

Don’t be deceived by the styling of the game, it’s tough and often you’ll find yourself restarting level after level until you get it right, because if your like me you’ll be aiming to get 3 stars and the trophy on every level!

If you like puzzles and don’t mind a little frustration along the way then this is definitely one for you, just make sure to think big because if you don’t you may never get all the Tetra’s back home!

I love this game. It's super cute, small, and it's lovely. My only gripe is how the trophies unlock after collecting 3 stars. It's not required, but getting three stars to only then learn that you blocked the trophy was sometimes frustrating. On occasion, it would lead to a more creative solution, but sometimes it felt boring. Overall, very cute game. Solid 9.5/10
