This game reroutes my neurons like its some kind of super computer being forced to solve for 2+2=4

I wouldn’t say Terra Nil is hard, the game just wants you to plan things out, and sometimes take leaps of faith that everything is going to work out. You gotta do steps A. B. C. ,but the game just plops step A in front of you, and you have to guess what B and C are going to be. The results, at times, are that you have to restart the level 5 times because you are missing the piece in step C, which the game hasn’t even told you about. Then there are times where you try to expect the unexpected, and waste all your time planning something in step A only to find out what you did was completely unneeded.

My honest to god tip for you is to just keep it simple, head empty, no thoughts, full dumb, purify the land with Tetris shapes, then wing it until you win.

Its a fun (fairly) relaxing game, its great to see your work on restoring maps and can definitely improve you mood given the state of the word. The photo mode can be a bit annoying at time and now that the game is done I hope the developers open up the workshop as modding could give this game a very long life cycle.

Terra Nil é um daqueles jogos que fogem completamente do padrão do gênero e entrega uma proposta muito criativa, ao invés de construir cidades e explorar recursos, aqui você faz exatamente o contrário — recupera a natureza e transforma cenários devastados em ecossistemas vivos e equilibrados.
Desde o início, o jogo já chama atenção pela sua identidade. Você começa em áreas totalmente mortas e, aos poucos, vai utilizando tecnologias para limpar o solo, criar rios, plantar vegetação e trazer vida de volta ao ambiente. A sensação de ver um mapa seco se transformar em um lugar cheio de vida é extremamente satisfatória e diferente de praticamente qualquer outro jogo do gênero.
A jogabilidade funciona como uma “Construção de Cidades reverso”, onde cada construção tem um propósito específico e precisa ser bem posicionada para maximizar eficiência. Energia, irrigação e purificação do solo andam juntos, e isso cria uma camada estratégica interessante sem ser complexa demais. Além disso, o jogo incentiva planejamento, já que recursos são limitados em dificuldades mais altas e decisões mal feitas podem travar sua progressão.
Visualmente, Terra Nil é simplesmente lindo. A transição de um terreno morto para florestas, rios e biomas variados é muito bem feita, com uma estética limpa e agradável. A trilha sonora e os efeitos sonoros seguem a mesma linha, criando uma experiência relaxante e quase “zen”, principalmente nos momentos em que você para observar o ambiente que acabou de restaurar.
Outro ponto interessante é o ciclo de gameplay, após restaurar o ecossistema, você precisa remover todas as suas construções e ir embora sem deixar rastros, reforçando ainda mais a proposta ambiental do jogo. Isso dá uma sensação única de missão cumprida, diferente da progressão infinita de outros jogos do gênero.
No geral, Terra Nil é uma experiência extremamente agradável, criativa e relaxante, que consegue unir estratégia leve com uma proposta ambiental muito bem executada. É aquele tipo de jogo perfeito para quem quer algo mais tranquilo, mas ainda assim recompensador.

[b]Dificuldade das Conquistas [3/10][/b]
Levei cerca de 25 horas para completar todas as conquistas. A lista é bem tranquila no geral e segue muito o fluxo natural do jogo.
Grande parte das conquistas vem ao completar os mapas, restaurar todos os biomas e cumprir todos os objetivos de cada região. Que incluem condições específicas, como atingir certos níveis de temperatura, umidade ou completar o mapa de forma eficiente, e também registrar os animais que estão "felizes" com o ambiente dele, mas nada que fuja muito da proposta do jogo.
O que pode exigir um pouco mais de atenção são conquistas ligadas a fazer algo específico em algum mapa, isso requer uma otimização e planejamento para ir atrás da conquista, existem coisas complicadas como Posicionar o Observatório de Animais em uma interseção com 4 Biomas diferentes e também de fazer os pássaros migrarem de uma distância de mais de 60 blocos. Ainda assim, com um bom entendimento das mecânicas, essas conquistam fluem naturalmente.
Não existe grind. No meu caso, a maior parte das conquistas veio jogando normalmente e aproveitando o jogo, com poucos momentos de precisar repetir mapas para ajustar alguma estratégia e/ou fazer uma conquista especifica do mapa.
No fim, Terra Nil entrega uma lista de conquistas simples, direta e prazerosa de completar, que complementa muito bem a experiência principal sem transformar o 100% em algo cansativo. É aquele tipo de jogo que você termina com a sensação de ter aproveitado tudo que ele tinha para oferecer.

Having come from the Terra Nil prototype on itch.io a few years ago, overall I'd say I had a fairly good time with the full release, particularly with the (relatively) recently added Heatwave expansion. As someone who enjoyed the prototype and hoped it would make it to a full release, it's perhaps unsurprising that I enjoyed the game as much as I did, although I doubt I'll re-visit it once I hit 100% on achievements.

TL;DR - If it's on sale, it's worth picking up on the cheap for a solid dozen or so hours of playtime, particularly if you're a puzzle fan with an environmentalist bent. If, like me, you pick it up at full price, you might be left feeling slightly short-changed after the fact, but will still have a good enough time so long as you go in expecting it to be a little rough around the edges.

Pros:
- The central gameplay loop of restoring a ruined wasteland to a vibrant landscape is super satisfying, both from a gameplay and aesthetic perspective. Terra Nil isn't a mega difficult slog, nor is it a 100% no-thoughts casual affair. I liked that I found myself having to actively adapt how I was playing rather than simply mindlessly click away and solve a given level's core puzzle through brute force, and playing on higher difficulty I liked that I found myself having to plan a phase or two ahead to make sure that I could hit all the level's climate criteria without having to restart whilt still being able to complete the level successfully. There obviously isn't a huge level of depth or complexity, but the game's different puzzle systems interact decently well to provide some level of challenge which seems right given the game's overall relaxed vibe.

- Terra Nil is a very pretty game to look at, with levels involving oceans and reefs in particular standing out. Some of the workarounds in order to maintain performance are a little goofy once you spot them (looking at you, beach crabs), but it is a game where you can genuinely stop and just watch what's happening. Manta rays and whales breaching, bears standing and scratching themselves, arctic foxes diving into snow all give the game a little extra character, particularly once you stop long enough to notice them taking place. Some interactivity between animals would've been a plus, but probably outside of the scope of the game and not sorely missed.

Mehs:
- Photo mode is okay, although I can understand the split in the community over it. On the one hand, I like that it gamifies what is otherwise broadly a box-ticking exercise in making sure that animals are placed in the right biomes with the right conditions as a win condition. It feels like this could have been expanded a little bit in favour of the photo system - it would've been nice, for example, to have to establish stable food chains or the like between animals, or have something a bit more involved to do with them besides taking a photo.

- That being said, while sometimes it can be enjoyable to get a closer look in on the mini-world you've just created, quite often it turned into a chore to track down individual animals or try and work out what exactly 'ideal vegetation' or the like actually meant. At its worst it can devolve into randomly panning around taking photos hoping to trigger whatever needed to be photographed in order to complete the level.

Cons:
- Performance can be dire, especially when multiple weather or particle effects occur simultaneously. I frequently had huge lags during regular gameplay, and overall I found the game perform fairly sluggishly - whilst this is to be expected to an extent on Mac (although not perhaps on an M3 Pro chip), I did find it frustrating at times to see the game all but freeze during relatively mundane moment-to-moment gameplay.

- Frequent (albeit minor, for the most part) bugs occurred, affecting camera movement, the UI, and various (presumably unintentional) ways of soft-locking the game not due to gameplay reasons. Although minor, issues crop up frequently enough that trying to 100% the game's achievements fills me with a little dread, knowing that I'm likely going to have to deal with repeated issues across the full gamut of the game's technical and gameplay systems. Several bugs seem to have come from the recent addition of controller/Steam Deck support, so hopefully they're just teething issues and will be addressed in due course, but some have persisted since purchasing the game and I assume will continue to do so.

- I HATED some aspects of the UI and mini-games - it baffles me that there is seemingly no way to exit to the main screen from the world-view without entering a level then exiting from there, and it annoyed me every time I found myself having to do so instead of just exiting to the main screen via a button. When it comes to the mini-games involving collecting seed data, I get what the devs were going for, but it is incerdibly tedious to scroll around a view of your previously completed maps via a clunky (albeit thematic) interface - it seems like a missed opportunity not to have shown players their maps in full size and colour for this section in order to better showcase their creations leading up to completion.

全内容通关完了。没动力再开一波了。这游戏从DEMO就开始关注，但是定价还是比较高，没有直接买，后面进包了之后第一时间还是下载下来玩。前面的几个关卡总体来说还是轻松简单的，即便一直到最后一关，都还是有新机制加入，但是依旧改变不了这游戏本身偏无聊的属性，因为你每一关所需要做的任务基本是雷同的，无非就是通过不同的设施来改造环境，来达成不同的效果，然后最后回收所有建筑，撤离，即便有新机制也只是变着法来改造环境，本质重复的流程是没有太大的变化的，从这里来看，我是不应该给推荐的。不过这游戏进了包，加上立意还是很新颖的，缺游戏玩的时候可以尝尝鲜。另外这游戏不太好，虽然是纯2D游戏，但是后期依旧会出现卡顿的情况，甚至帧数剩下个2，30帧

The game is fun in casual mode, until you have to reload the same stage several times because progressing through the tacked-on Photo Mode becomes impossible on some of the randomly generated maps.

In the normal difficulty where your resources are actually finite? Absolutely miserable experience to play, and the devs ignore all feedback from the many people that hate the photo mode, telling us to just roll the game back to a beta update instead.

I would refund if I could.

環境再生為目的遊戲，
與一般建設發展系的遊戲不同，
本遊戲為將毀滅的自然環境再生做為目標，
先從將水源、溫度、土壤、養份帶回大自然，
進而動物的回歸，
最後完成自然環境的再生後，
再將人造科技物拆除並撤離。

遊戲難度除了最高難度以外都不高，
發展過程和動物、環境的回歸也深有提倡保護自然環境的寓意，
遊戲畫面特效弄的很美，
動物在自然中走來走去的看起來也很賞心悅目，
成就也不難，稍微注意一下流程幾乎都能輕鬆達成。

遊戲唯一小小缺點是當自然再生、動物回歸後，
遊戲會非常吃記憶體，
最高有一關看到吃掉10GB的，
所以一關拖太久或發展太仔細可能對電腦配備來說會是一大考驗。

反思人類與自然環境、動物的關係，
又能有建設的成就感，
最後還有揮一揮衣袖不帶走一片雲彩的瀟灑，
推薦給喜歡建設類遊戲且喜歡大自然的人試試。

这游戏的玩法就是，上来全是荒地，你需要放各种科学小玩意儿来做绿化，做完绿化草长出来了，你需要再放各种科学小玩意儿来提升湿度或满足动物的生存需求。到这一步为止，都很舒服。

好，那么好，傻逼的来了
你接下来，需要，回收，你之前放的所有建筑，后期我记得是有什么滑轨回收之类的，但是前期，比如第一关，你只能沿着河道进行回收，但第一关，你下方那块，根本就没有河，好，那么我如何回收呢，那我需要用污染性质的科学小玩意儿，在这里挖一条河道出来。然后回收这里的建筑。

这个回收根本没必要卡人你们知道吧，这个回收确实某种意义上增添了游戏的策略性，但是tm的这不是个策略游戏，我在放松铺地毯的同时，我的脑子还要琢磨，这玩意儿放在这里后期好不好回收。

就好比是你明明是休息时间，你还要想着一会休息完去开会要怎么讲。

这个回收系统给我的感觉就是这样

如果你能受得了这个，那么这游戏几乎没啥缺点，我觉得除了这个以外各方面都挺好，但我受不了这个回收。这个痛点对我来说太痛了，直接颠覆了这个游戏的休闲性，在一款不需要动脑的游戏里加入了不那么舒适的硬动脑环节，所以我给差评。

A curious game about restoring vibrancy and verdancy to an Earth-like planet once there are no more humans around. You take control of industrial scale terraforming technology to renature flora, recreate natural habitats for fauna, and remove poison from the ground and air that were all inflicted on the planet by industry in the first place. The game is made of distinct levels and at the end of every mission you take special care to collect all the manufactured tools you used during the course of gameplay so that each area is free from new man-made waste and at the end of the game you pack everything into a giant spaceship before lifting off with the player's POV leaving the atmosphere as well so that the planet is finally free from anthropogenic pollution forever more. I really do love the ending because it seems like a way for human beings to at last make amends before leaving behind a planet that is in a much better state than our current one; I see it as a kind of planetary penance and an apology to all the species that manage to survive Holocene extinction.

As for negatives, I did experience crashes or bugs pretty frequently, somewhere in the ball park of once every 3-6 hours. They were always easily manageable and I don't think I ever lost any progress. Just something of which to be mindful.

The game isn't terrible, but it's not great either. If it were longer I'd probably recommend it with caveats, but for the price that game is incredibly short. I have 100%ed the game. I have roughly 12 hours of play time and a good chunk of that was when I left the game idle accidentally. It feels incomplete. You have 16 total maps, but huge parts of the planet are just missing, and it makes it feel weirdly empty. The screenshot they show of the planet map in the marketing materials really wants you to think there's more maps all over the globe. There aren't. You can see almost all the maps available, save the 3 new ones that came out in the heatwave update, 16 in total. And that's the entire game. Some features (the drone) are introduced and used in only in a limited selection of maps.

This sort of thing is fine for a game like Planet Zoo or cities skylines, where you have a career mode meant to teach you the game and provide a bit of structure, but the core game is a sandbox. But it's very disappointing in game that absolutely is not a sandbox or a city builder. The game has strict, linear goals. It's a puzzle/resource management game where the goal is to solve the puzzles, and it gives you a grand total of 16. There is no sandbox mode or even random challenges I could find. The game also has issues with lagging and memory leaks, which is honestly inexcusable for a game that's been out this long and with such a simple concept.

The core gameplay loop isn't terrible, but it's scattered. I think the heatwave update negatively impacted this by adding on seemingly random photo goals. For some reason, the goal is not to actually make all the animals happy and ensure their environment is survivalable. Rather, you need to take a photo of one specific animal happy and then you've checked the goal off your list. After that, you can literally relocate all the animals to a lava hellscape, wreck the restored landscape, and leave, and as long as you took that photo of the animal happy that's all the game cares about. It's incredibly strange and doesn't fit with the rest of the game. I can only assume they did it this way, because it can be literally impossible to make all animals happy on some maps, depending on what layout you got at the start, and how you had to set up your biomes. It's still very strange and I'm not a fan.

To top it all off, the game seems to completely lack any sort of story or personalized character to it. They don't even bother with some very basic worldbuilding. It really does feel empty. At some point I'm launching a rocket into space, but I don't know why, I don't know who I'm even supposed to be. In a sandbox game that's not a problem, but in this game which is absolutely not a sandbox, it kind of is. A little bit of story work could've gone a long way here.

I'm sad because I've literally spent longer playing the little prototype version then I did this game. I went into this hoping for a good experience, and got let down. And I do like a lot of the messaging of this game. I'm someone whose done wildlife restoration and it's cool to see a game about that. I just wish it were good so I could recommend it to other people.

Well, time to bring back the 'something'.

the good

+ The idea behind it. No combat, no time limit. Hard to call it 'cozy' as you think of the ecological destruction that took place there. You can still see the remains of the cities, streets and toxic radioactive barrels. On the other hand that only reinforces our important goal - bringing back various ecosystems the greed had pillaged.
+ Wonderful sound design
+ Gorgeous artwork. Shame the photo mode won't let you hide the HUD.
+ Flexibility of play. With options you can give yourself quite a challange or just relax and remove any resource management altogether.
+ Makes you feel all hopefull and fuzzy inside.

the bad

- No saving on current map. Levels are randomly generated and can be quite a time investment.
- Weird complaint but every larger update over the years sort of reset my progress. It was nice to go back and help the animals and the plants but beating all levels 100% for like the third time was bit awkward. It made me appraciate the last batch of regions more though.

Arada nasıl bi geliştirme yaptılarsa demoda oynadığımın üstüne zorunlu, gereksiz şeyler ekmişler. Yapmışım işimi bırak gideyim, yook foto çekcen, hayvana bakacan. Bırak kendi takılsın işte. Hadi onu yaptık falan. Tek recycle siloyu alamadık diye baştan başlattım. Oradan dön dolaş vs. Ya bitmeyen yangın bugı yaptım, 3 yıldır satışta ha bu oyun. Yangın mekaniği taa en temelde vardı. Placement ve strategy oyunu bu, relaxing, city build ya da cozy diye almayın, üzülürsünüz. I had some difficulties at the beginning — the tutorial does not cover the basics, and I had no idea what they meant by 'achieving multiple climate goals'. To get some animals on your island, you have to do very specific things, and I had to search for a few things online.

I absolutely enjoyed this game!
It's super relaxing & gives me a nice kind of shiver everytime I finish an area and I get to just.. [i]appreciate[/i] it..
Nature is beautiful & it is something we must protect so this game hits a very special place for me because of this.
I totally recommend it! It's chill, although it does make your brain gear turn at some parts (you can however make this easier [b]or[/b] harder using the in-game settings.

Also it's so fun to have the animals around, even though it may be a liiitle tedious to make them [i]all[/i] happy..

Don't be misled by the low difficulty of the opening levels, this game's learning curve steepens shortly after. The different set of tools for each terrain prevents the game from becoming monotonous.

Also, it's just beautiful, relaxing, and comforting, as well as being a well-constructed puzzle/strategy game.

This game was a new spin for me on a city-builder. Its interesting that you spend the first half of any given map/mission by strategically placing buildings around the map that you'll eventually gladly destroy in late game stages. What you're doing is actually cleansing various toxic environments, conditioning the land, cleaning the water and then, introducing different biomes like forest, beaches, rocky mountain sides. All of this in pursuit of luring new animal life to your thriving region. One of the keys for success involves climate manipulation to produce different effects on the world, critical to creating the right balance for nature. You'll explore tropical beaches, frozen tundras, rivers of lava and the beauty of the savannah. Once life has returned and is thriving, you'll leave no trace by removing all of the noisy and disruptive structures that are no longer needed. And just when I thought I'd be getting bored with using the same strategy on every world, each new world introduces new tools and variations which require you to experiment and learn how to use the structures most efficiently for that particular wasteland.

The game is beautiful and detailed, and one of the more compelling features involves taking snapshots of the new life as it thrives in the world. Totally relaxing, but at times challenging in the later worlds. Highly recommend, 4.8/5!

I love the idea of The Sims in reverse: take a broken down city and turn it into a thriving ecosystem. That's a beautiful concept, and it was genuinely satisfying to see the thriving nature area I had created after each scenario ended.

Unfortunately, I found the execution to be only... pretty good. Some scenarios have serious memory leaks, and almost all froze freeze time to time. I needed to hard shutdown my computer (i.e., hold down the power button until it turned off) 5-10 times to get all the way through the game. I also encountered a handful of glitches, soft locks, and other issues. At one point, my forest kept catching fire for no apparent reason and I couldn't figure out how to make it stop. In the last scenario, I also got into a state where completion was impossible, or at least seemingly impossible, because I recycled some fuel containers before pumping that fuel into the small rocket. There were a handful of other small issues here and there, all of which led me to feel that the game is pretty unstable.

I found that scenarios went by too fast, and there was really no reason to dwell in an area after a scenario was completed. After completing a mission, there's really no way to go "above and beyond" in that area and there's really nothing to see or do. There's really no reason to hang around once a scenario is completed, and there isn't a compelling reason to take the scenario slowly, either. There just isn't enough to do, in my opinion, to treat it like a sandbox game.

That said, it is a super creative and sweet game. I loved seeing the animals and making their homes as nice as possible. I love that they get names and that increasing their happiness is one of the primary goals. The gameplay is also pretty varied, with different locations, tools, animals, climates, different types of land, different objectives, a handful of really surprising and creative challenges, and more.

It's a great idea with pretty good, but not great, execution. I hope it can continue to improve and I hope others find inspiration in it to build games that are even better.

刚出预告的时候就关注了，时4隔年又刷到了，于是入手了，制作组很真诚一直在更新，为玩家带来了更加优质的内容。
操作简单，指导也很详细，新手玩家可以看左上角任务进度和手册，来决定做什么，低难度不怎么卡关，但是要注意右边显示的的各种数值。
画风真的很好看，培育生态环境的过程真的很治愈。大家喜欢就入手吧！！

A unique building game. A big part of its appeal comes from the warm feeling of creating or ‘healing’ something. I play it with my five‑year‑old son, and it’s a really wonderful game for the two of us. And in my opinion, it’s a really good introduction to the world of video games.

재미도 있고 생태계 구성도 잘됐고 좋은데 가끔 사진 찍어야 하는 동물이 안나오는 찐빠가 너무 거슬려요. 그리고 불필요한 모노레일 설계도 짜증 나구요. 전체적으로 좋지만 생태계 기반 까는데 20% 생태계 조성하는데 40%일 때 동물 사진찍을 환성 조성하고 습도 조성하고 모노레일과 드론 정리하는데 40% 소모되는듯한데 마지막 부분만 완화해주면 좋을 것 같네요. 중간중간 하자가 보여서 너무 아쉬운 게임이었네요

This is a calming experience.
It's intensely satisfying to have your progress lead to life blooming in a polluted land.
It's not crunchy, which allows for a chill experience.

Terra Nil não é um jogo perfeito. Se possível, eu daria uma resenha "mista" ao envés de positiva.

Resumo da história: é muito bonito, recomendo comprar só na promoção, que chegou a ser de 60% por 30 reais, e se preparar para um jogo bem fácil e zen, ou um jogo que começa desafiador, mas que fica frustrante rápido, sem meio termo.

Joguei o demo quando saiu, e comprei ele recentemente na promoção. Fiquei muito surpresa ao ver que tinha bastante resenhas negativas, mas ao passar do jogo, entendi bem o porquê. Ele é um jogo muito gostosinho, no começo.

É basicamente um quebra cabeça para conseguir restaurar a área nos parâmetros determinados - no modo "normal" do jogo, isso é fácil de fazer, mas ainda assim encontrei momentos que tive reiniciar a fase. No modo "engenheiro", você tem recursos limitados, e tem esse desafio a mais de cumprir os requisitos de cada área, que eu gostei muito, e troquei para esse modo bem no ínicio do jogo, porque gostei de ter que quebrar a cabeça.

É muito satisfatório ver cada área sendo limpa, e é uma alegria ver os animais aparecendo aos poucos no final, mesmo que nos modos mais fáceis.

Mas um dos maiores problemas é que o jogo faz com que seja bem difícil entender alguns requisitos e tive que buscar na internet várias vezes soluções que eu fiquei um bom tempo tentando resolver. Por exemplo, para que sapos apareçam, precisamos ter dois biomas específicos lado a lado, e isso só é possível descobrir no livro "tutorial", mas eu achei que o livro não é fácil de navegar e encontrar as informações que precisamos.

Ainda tendo o livro, há momentos que eu realmente não sei como deviamos descobrir. Em um dos últimos níveis, para conseguir contsruir o foguete, precisamos reciclar uma estrutura que já estava no ambiente abandonado para criar uma base. Não encontrei nenhum lugar onde isso está escrito, o jogo não te avisa, e fica parecendo que a base do foguete simplesmente não apareceu na loja. Em nenhum outro nível temos que reciclar uma estrutura para desbloquear algo, então como que deveríamos deduzir?

Achei que a progressão de dificuldade foi estranha, consegui fazer níveis sem grandes dificuldades, no próximo nível só depois de reinicias muitas vezes, o que deixa o jogo frustante, e chega um momento que ao enves de ficar feliz de ver os animais aparecendo, eu penso "caramba finalmenteeeee". Vi várias pessoas dizerem que acharam o último nível impossível no modo engenheiro, e foi o único que eu troquei para um modo mais fácil só pra poder completar o jogo, porque também fiquei muitas vezes reiniciando as fases e o nível, sem nem chegar perto dos parâmetros.

Não ter uma opção de mais "desfazer" foi uma escolha estranha. Você só consegue desfazer a sua última ação e pronto. É legal para um modo mais difícil, mas não tem como tirar essa dificuldade, mesmo que tenham várias opções de mudar quanto recursos você começa, quanto custam as estruturas, etc. É uma grande frustração ter que reiniciar uma fase inteira quando você faz dois erros seguidos e só consegue arrumar um.

Me incomodou também que depois de terminar um mapa, você não consegue mais acessar ele nos níveis terminados. Por exemplo, esqueci de tirar uma foto de um animal, o que acontece nos últimos momentos da fase, mas para conseguir ter 100% e deixar o mapa bonitinho, eu precisei começar o nível todo do zero.

Eu diria, que mesmo com tudo isso, recomendaria o jogo, mas mais pra quem quer essa experiência de boas, de ir descobrindo como faz, ficando feliz com os animais e outros detalhes aparecendo, mas se quer um quebra cabeça levemente mais desafiador, querendo descobrir tudo por sí só, saiba que você pode passar por frustrações grandes e perder muito progresso por erros pequenos e ter que reiniciar o jogo inteiro.

I really love this concept, and it's gorgeous (love the Art Nouveau-inspired elements)...and although I want to like the game, it's irritating on so many levels. (Disclaimer and attempt to be fair: it's possible some of the following are skill issues)

- First and foremost, after letting me use the flying recycling drone, DON'T MAKE ME GO BACK TO USING THE STUPID BOAT
- No hotkeys for specific buildings, just for switching "action bar" tabs...and either label the "climate" tab "4" or otherwise make it obvious that 4 is the hotkey
- C'mon, let me have an Extreme Home Makeover-style "before and after" comparison so I can see just how pretty the fixed ecosystem is compared to when it was a toxic wasteland
- Half of the final phase for each mission is photography, which is an annoyingly indirect mechanism for forcing you to fine-tune things to make the animals happy (how does it calculate the score for photographs? what are the thresholds for the different ribbons? only one threshold matters anyway...and why give five photograph slots when only three are required? no hotkeys, so click the animal in the list and hope you can click "enter photo mode" and then "take photo" before it flies out of frame...and let's not talk about the difficulty of fine-tuning anything in the last phase...)
- Feels like it's supposed to be at least vaguely based on actual science/technology but things often prove to be nonsensical magic (beehives turn nonspecific and irritatingly only-semiflammable grass into a specific floral ecosystem? zebras just warp in from nowhere on this dead planet the moment I create a grassland? burning a small patch of grass significantly and permanently raises ambient temperature? and don't get me started on cloud seeding...)
- Clumsy monorail mechanic encouraging you to create a small number of buildings and then reuse them instead of creating many buildings, only to later discover you needed a large number of buildings to turn into second-tier machines in the first place...
- Extremely careful planning is required to do things efficiently, but there's no way for you to know what later phases will require or which precise tools will be available (oops, those owls that arrived in phase three needed me to have placed a large section of forest directly adjacent to the tundra in phase two!)
- Similarly, proper placement of things would require exact knowledge of the range of things you can't place until later (e.g., the entire recycling mechanic, which is literally half of the final phase of each level)
- Climate manipulation requirements are contradictory (raise humidity, then lower humidity, then raise it again...), irritating to accomplish (do the machines all *really* need to be placed on rocks?), and in pursuing them you may accidentally make later objectives more difficult...
- Lack of planning or improper placement forces you to do a lot of tedious backtracking (go back and make more phase one buildings to turn into phase two buildings, construct yet another monorail network to grab the one irrigator that was slightly out of range and also hard to see...)
- Some innocent mistakes may require restarting
- They seem to know that all of the above are issues, which is why the only resource (colorfully called "resource") seems to be completely irrelevant for the default difficulty/playstyle
- Various other things that make no sense and/or don't actually matter (the excavator poisoning the surrounding landscape is generally inconsequential, it's a dice roll whether you get cone filters or toxin scrubbers on any given mission, why require toxin scrubbers to make desert ecosystems on a map where toxin scrubbers aren't required?...)

Ich habe etwa 15 Stunden gespielt und alles auf 100 Prozent abgeschlossen inklusive aller Achievements. Nachdem ich alles geschafft hatte, war es sogar noch lustig ein paar Achievements zu jagen. Insgesamt ein echt angenehmer Zeitvertreib und für mich auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.
