I dont remember anything from this game or why I played 13 hours
Really lovely little game that manages a downer vibe despite the bright colors and wonderful melodies. It's fairly easy, with only a couple really difficult jumping/spike-dodging puzzles. Something about it just sicks with me.
It looks alot like Zelda II on NES, however it is actually a platforming game with a NES style. There is lots of hand holding with lots of check point, so any platforming section are really short and don't present much of a challenge.
Overall, I enjoyed the time I playerd with this game.
Very cozy. Zelda II vibes but very little of the stress beyond trying to nail a few precision jumps here and there. Mostly just a game of exploring the world and finding items, with a light story sprinkled in. Can be beaten in a few hours. Everything is borrowed from other games, but it's assembled well and plays right.
A fun retro platformer. Despite the word "super" appearing in the title this is more like an NES game than a Super NES game.

大地图+横向滑动冒险的形式，完美致敬了初代银河战士和林克的冒险，连僵直的操作手感也完美复刻了，复古玩家应该会甘之如饴。
I felt pretty take it or leave it with this. I'd leave a neutral rec if that were possible.
Navigation is slightly overwhelming. You have lots of little separate maps and the game is a bit open-world-ish. It reminds me of games like [b]Elephantasy: Flipside[/b] and to a lesser degree [b]Elliot Quest[/b], where it gets a little annoying to keep track of all the different places.

Solid, short platformer that doesn't do much new but does what it needs to do well.
Definitely helps if you have nostalgia for, or an innate appreciation of, 8-bit games. Gameplay chiefly involves 2D platforming and open-world exploration, but certain NPCs can optionally give you guidance on where to go next, an inclusion I definitely appreciated. There's also some kind of poetic sub-plot that went way over my head, but some players may enjoy trying to decode it. Overall, don't expect something quite as fully-featured as Shovel Knight, this game's a bit more scrappy and small scale, but it's still a fun, rewarding time.

A simplicidade dos gráficos não diz nada sobre o jogo. Na verdade diz sim. Um jogo não precisa ser complexo pra ser divertido. Me faz lembrar como os jogo antigamente não eram cheios de botões, opções e nem hiper-realistas e conheciam me deixar entretido por meses.
A falta de ataque incomoda no começo, mas depois não faz falta nenhuma.
Eu ainda não achei todos os diamantes, mas voltarei no futuro para completar essa missão.

Loved it! It's like a puzzle platformer version of Zelda 2. The only nitpick I have is with the music, which I found annoyingly repetitive at times. But overall, a very fun and satisfying game.

The CRT shader is great and makes it so much more enjoyable, add to that a great chiptune music and you have a very enjoyable retro experience for around 6 hours to finish the story. The game is surprising easy because there is instant checkpoints everywhere. The game is even better with a retro controller.

I don't think this one holds up as well as its predecessor. Where YHtWtG emulated the MS DOS / CD64 era of games, SWtG iterates upon the "vicariously live out a bygone era" concept by emulating the NES era of games. It's a compelling concept that both games pull off pretty well, so for that I think they both deserve praise.
But where YHtWtG was a tight and compact experience that complimented its simplistic roots, SWtG just overstays its welcome. The levels are too large for the lack of variety that's presented in them. It feels like they are bigger just because that's what the NES was capable of, instead of being bigger to fit more creative ideas or tricky challenges. There are a couple new upgrades that add a tiny bit of depth in exploration, but these little bits of Metroidvania joy are eclipsed by the backtracking through open spaces specked with very non-threatening enemies. Lots of YHtWtG's rooms felt like micro platforming puzzles that were fun to solve or chart speedrun paths through, and SWtG has very little of that. It's short enough to be completed in a couple hours, but fails to fill even that brief amount of time with much fun. Compare that to YHtWtG's ~30 minute runtime that can be fun to loop through and beat the speedrun or no death challenges.
To a lesser extent, it feels like a downgrade in visual appeal. SWtG mixes too many palettes. From screen to screen you feel like you are warping between Zelda II, Metroid, and Kid Icarus inspired areas; where YHtWtG was more visually cohesive. Again, it's not terrible, it just struggles to break through that feeling of mediocrity. I'd still recommend supporting the developer especially if you enjoyed YHtWtG like I did, since that game was free. I just think it's worth noting the very backward experience: YHtWtG is really the product deserving of support and this one was a bit of a misstep. Solid concept, but poor execution.
Where YHtWtG was a VVVVVV-like classic, SWtG comes off more like a McKids-esque licensed game mess.

Had my eye on this for a while after enjoying the 2d side-scrolling metroidvania 'You Have To Win The Game'.
This one, Super Win The Game, absolutely scratched the same metroidvania itch as its predecessor - while adding something new with the top-down overworld map to explore between the dungeons, towns and other areas.
It took me back to simpler times with its CRT TV-style filter, retro graphics and soundtrack delivering a lot of nostalgia.
Mechanically, the platforming was solid and satisfying and the exploration involved just the right amount of back-tracking as new abilities opened previously impassable routes.
There were plenty of secrets to hunt down too, as well as additional collectables which I'll have to go back and have a go at getting.
All in all: short, sweet and satisfying. Definitely worth a play, especially if you liked the previous game.
Super Win the Game is a cool little retro style platformer which is a sequel to the free to play You Have to Win the Game.
It's similar to the first one, but I like how they added an outside world as well as a speedrunning section and even though it only takes a few hours to complete, I enjoyed the simplistic gameplay and overall look.
Short, but a high-quality platforming game with a nice sense of humor. Would not recommend if you're new to the platforming genre -- there are some pretty challenging segments that aren't optional.

Probably ok if you have patience, but I can't see the case for choosing it ahead of other similar games. I played for about an hour before reaching what I thought was a softlock. Googled it to be told that I was expected to run into a wall to discover it was illusory.
I didn't really like that mechanic in Elden Ring (a favourite of mine), but at least in Elden Ring you had a) a slightly different visual appearance and b) a suggestion prior to encountering one's first illusory wall that illusory walls were in fact a game mechanic. Having one thrown at me out of the blue makes me think the developer is an arsehole, not clever.

This game really brings me back to the old days without all of the frustration of old games. I throughly enjoyed this and I would love if anyone has any other recommendations for similar 2-D exploration/secret heavy and battle-lite games, so I'm turning comments on. (Another game with a similar feel that I can use as an example is Astalon). Obviously this is a recommend, super fun and excellent soundtrack.
Is a good game but most of the time you don't know where to go or what to do.
The most irritating thing is that you cannot "respawn" on a city - so if you saved somewhere complicated, good luck getting out before rage quitting.

Greate reduced metroid vania. KISS principle.
Short Metroidvania with zero combat. Game consists entirely of collecting items: either those that give you new powers, or ones that unlock new areas, or, eventually, win the game (heh). For the most part, it's challenging but has frequent checkpoints that keep the frustration level very reasonable. Then when you get to the last 6 collectables, the challenge level goes up 10x and the checkpoints disappear, resulting in having to play each area 10-30 times minimum to get a pixel perfect trajectory through spikes, etc. Who likes that kind of thing?! Why have developers confused punishing for fun? Sure, some people like games like super meat boy which are built around the concept (plus generous checkpoints, I might add), but this kind of design is getting way too common in my opinion. Kind of sad to not be able to finish the game after investing 2 hours into it, but the fun is completely gone. Furthermore, it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into the game because before the final challenge, it's all very well done and quite fun. So this is a conscious choice on the developer's part. They even soften the difficulty a little bit on finding those collectables by giving you an optional in-game hint system for finding them, which is reasonable since they are hidden well. Sigh.
It would be easy to compromise and add a "I'm a big baby" option which, for instance, increased the number of checkpoints for the last 6 items, making the game accessible to more than just the hardcore self-hating gamer.

Not too big, not too long. As I find it overwhelming and stressful if the world is too huge, I was glad you can overview this game’s world.

I was looking for a game like „I wanna be the guy“.
Thankfully, it is [b]not near as hard[/b] and as an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There was only one passage where you‘re falling down and have to maneuver spikes that was like hard. But it was a challenge only to complete for achievements, not for playthrough.
I had fun big time playing this game. Apart from this it has a [b]speedrun mode[/b] where you run levels against the clock. You can race against other players fastest time, they appear as a [b]ghost[/b].
I‘m Top 20 in the Caverns map.

At sale price, it's a decent, short metroidvania. It could stand to be a little more open ended, but the map isn't all that big so backtracking isn't that big a deal. It would be nice if there were an option to return to the map screen or if the character's movement speed were a bit faster but I enjoyed it overall and there was more to it than I expected.
A real homage to 80's gaming! Back when, from my point of view, it was easier to just pick up a game and get to playing. I got that same feeling from "Super Win the Game".
Tight controls, good pace, great environments and a bunch of easter eggs, what's not to love?

This game is mostly about jumping. If you're not into games about jumping from place to place, stay away! If you are into games about jumping, I have good news: that's what this game is about (mostly).
Super Win The Game's gameplay is very simple by design, and very retro. It does this very well. It feels good to play, and movement never felt frustrating to me even when the levels were difficult. Beyond that the game is still good, but…
As a skill-focused platformer, levels are tied together by exploration and simple metroidvania-style mechanics. The game adds the much-appreciated modern conveniences of unlimited lives, instant restarts, and seamless auto-saves which do a lot to elevate the old-school feel. There is no fast travel, but there are a lot of short-cuts. Only some of these shortcuts are obvious. Since backtracking is required, this system works well for mapping out an optimized speed-run, but this makes casual play a bit of a slog. To put it another way, the game expects you to remember where stuff was, and punishes you if you don’t. That’s authentic to the old-school NES approach, and I appreciate that intent. Still, this makes the game last longer, but doesn't necessarily make it any more fun. I got 100% of the game in just under 12 hours, and I’d have been perfectly content if the game had been a bit shorter or a bit more complicated.
Aesthetically, the game is very heavily NES inspired. The impressive CRT simulator adds a distinctive touch to basic graphics. The game is not quite strict 8-bit, but faithful to the spirit of it. The Zelda II influence on the graphics was especially obvious. The music is heavy on those chonky NES waveforms. It never wore out its welcome for me as some chiptune can do. The writing and story are a bit more complex than I was expecting. Just a bit. If all you care about is jumping, it’s very easy to ignore. As a pleasant surprise though, the writing is sometimes willing to takes itself seriously in between goofy jokes and quest hints.
The game also has a speedrun mode, with online leaderboards. This isn’t a huge part of the game, but it’s still a lot more than an afterthought. The levels are elaborate, and trying to figure out the fastest path feels like its own puzzle. It’s a shame there are only a few of them, though. If you miss the Ninji speedrun levels from SMM2, this might scratch that itch for a bit.
It also has a randomizer mode for speedrunners or maybe streamers. If you love this game, this is a way to play it a second time, but it takes a lot of the game’s idiosyncrasies about navigation, such as the use of keys and locks, even more confusing. For me, it felt like a bit of a grind, but I knida expected that when I started playing it a second time for the acheivement. Comparing a seeded run to someone else’s with the same key would be pretty fun, though, but that seems pretty niche.
I was sort of blindsided by this game and how good it was. I know Metroidvania is its biggest tag, but I'd describe it more of a platformer variant of Zelda II. Very Zeldalike in general, except, well, you can never fight back.
Once you beat the game the first time, it has a built in randomizer that is tons of fun. It has replayability right from the get go, even after you just 100%'d the game.
My only gripe is the 'CRT' filter. Luckily I found it and turned it off immediately.
It's a really fun little game, which definitely beats the prequel.
I had a good time and the only bad thing I can see are some speedrun courses that require WAY TOO PRECISE MOVEMENTS.
But overall the base game is really fun, and the randomized mode just makes everything so much more challenging.

I originally played this several years ago, and it's as good as I remember! Despite the obvious trappings of Zelda II, this Metroidvania-style game is really all about platforming, exploration, with some riddles to be solved thrown in. If you see a spot you'd be able to stand on, but it looks impossible to get there, try anyway, brute forcing... your tenacity won't go unrewarded. This game's generous save system makes it a lot easier to practice challenging spots. You'll simply reappear at the last bell you ran into, and you have infinite lives.
Super Win The Game is many times larger than its predecesor, You Have To Win The Game, and it brings all the latter's challenge to the table!
Very fun game! I played it nonstop for the past few days and I've gotta say, it was a good time! The map is confusing at first, but you slowly get used to the world. I've had to consult a guide a couple times, but I personally thought it added to the charm, like how the original Zelda was designed. (I understand if that would be a slight turn-off though.) I would recommend this game for anyone who likes platformers and a nice retro adventure.

Exquisita jugabilidad bien intuitiva y excelente banda sonora que acompaña los diferentes escenarios. Por suerte le bajaron un cambio y no es tan desafiante como su antecesor.

I'd say it's a bargain bin metroidvania. sure finding some secrets is fun but the layouts of some dungeons are confusing on purpose. a more detailed map woulda helped this game a ton! also not a fan of the music
it's a fun little puzzle metroidvania but the best part is the randomizer added a while back and occasionally start a new runas it's so much fun and challenging
Super Win the Game is a very classic / retro platformer, both for its NES graphics and its gameplay. It doesn't innovate in any of its aspects, but what it does, it does well. The only downside is that it is too short.
Recommended for lovers of old Zelda and similar games.

A fun retro styled game with modern mechanics make this an excellent platformer with metroidvania elements well worth your time. Don't let the cute kiddie nes era graphics fool you, this is a difficult game with a lot of challenging platforming sections to overcome. You will try and fail repeatedly as you work your way towards the final goal, but don't let that put you off, the game is very fair in it's challenge and has none of the punishing health and lives systems of the games it's trying to emulate the visuals of. The music is absolutely the best part of this game, with catchy chip tunes you'll be humming for weeks after.

The plot is a real mess. Otherwise, classic 3-4 hour retro platformer made just right. Good old fashioned fun for NES fans.
Excellent precision platformer with a lot of variety, secrets and perfect controls
Sidescrolling platformer where you collect stuff all game long and occasionally gain new abilities to access areas. It's decent and cheap but nothing that good about it.
This is probably the best game I've played this year! It really feels like playing an old game in the eighties!
The music is absolutely fantastic, the control is responsive and the graphics are great! There is really nothing to complain about.
I've got all the achievements, and playing the game in random mode, gives an "excuse" to play the game again. I have spent 15h with this game, but want more! I never wanted it to end. I also like all the melancholic messages that are here and there in the game.
I bought the game on sale for £ 1.19, which is way too cheap in my opinion.
10 out of 10!
I really hope there will be a sequel someday!

Okay platformer with a lot of backtracking and no combat. You enter levels trough the overworld to collect keys and abilities. There are some difficult optional rooms.
One annoying thing: the vertical scrolling when you jump on a platform that is near the top of the screen. You overshoot, the screen scrolls up, you fall, the screen scrolls down, and then you land on the platform. This happens in a lot of places.

The game seemed good for the first while. Then I came across a place in desert ruins where there's a bouncing eyeball shooting mini bouncing fireballs in rotation. I got past it from left to right and read a book. Then after the book, it spawned me to the right side of the eye and have to go from right to left. I am stuck here. Ruined the experience. Can't even "win the game" now.
I sure did super-win the game. And it was great. Fun times and interesting game.
