Look, very few games have the whole package. Puzzles are inventive, there are many challenging ones, meta puzzles, meta meta puzzles and lots of philosophy.

Almost as if it were designed to get you thinking :)

P.S. I personally love the aesthetics / environments / music, etc. This is the whole package.

The Talos Principle was fun. Way more fun than I was expecting. And I was expecting a lot of fun, so, yeah. It's interesting, intriguing, I wanted to keep going just to know more of the story. the puzzles were great and integrated will into the story (when it was applicable). I had to look a few up, but once I learned how it made sense. There was one that the solution was something I didn't know was a thing I could do, but It wasn't crazy, just something I didn't consider.
I don't know if the replayability is super high, the puzzles, sure, I probably remember less than 10%. the story though, It was so good, though part of that goodness was from the unknown. I think it's still worth playing a second time, it's just not quite the same. Still amazing though.
The music and the visuals pair fantastic, and with the voice acting and story, I was invested the entire time.

Solid Puzzle Experience with a Camera Caveat

The game is generally good-looking, and even considering its age, it still holds up pretty well.

BEFORE YOU PLAY: Change the camera with "H" ! My first two sessions were stuck in first-person, and I ended up with massive headaches. Don't make my mistake, switch the view immediately.

The Puzzles: There are plenty of solid puzzles throughout. They start off a bit too easy, with only a handful toward the end that really made me break a sweat. Overall, a decent balance, though I wish the challenge had ramped up sooner.

Story & Dialogue: I never really managed to get into the story. So when the game tried to dump lore on me, I wanted to skip it, sadly, you can't skip through dialogue as fast as you like.

Final Thoughts: Despite the story not clicking with me, I enjoyed my time with the game. I logged about 15 hours of fun and naturally picked up around 50% of the achievements. I don't plan on going back for the missing ones, that was enought of that game for me.

Score: 7/10 — A solid puzzle game that holds up visually, offers a fair challenge Just remember to change that camera first!

Look, the puzzles are great, the scenery is lovely, the notes at the terminals are part of an intriguing backstory that tugs me in...

I cannot stand being talked down to by a billboard for being forced to select from nuance-free responses that I absolutely do not agree with. It is actively detracting from the experience to the point where everything else in the entire game that I actually enjoy engaging with has become a tidal wave of obstacles to never having to deal with Milton again. I was honestly going to just grin and bear it, and then I ran into "Nothing you do or say here makes the slightest bit of difference," and three options all denying it and asserting I can make a difference.

I CANNOT. MILTON IS RIGHT. I can't actually say what I want to say, I'm being railroaded into a conversation I don't agree with either side of AS ONE OF THOSE SIDES, and I'm sick of it. At least when The Witness was pretentious it was talking to dead air; this game expects me to reply from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Fallout 4 conversation wheel of bad options, and then mocks me for it.

EDIT: To add injury to insult, the tower peak puzzle got softlocked because [spoiler]Shepherd cached bad pathfinding data and kept walking back off the ledge he just got up instead of waiting at the final elevator[/spoiler]. So now I guess I don't get to see that ending firsthand; at least I got a dialogue option I can agree with when choosing my epitaph. What a waste of time.

One of the best games ever made. While the puzzles might feel outdated to some I would say the game more than makes up for it with the amazing atmosphere coupled with it's fantastic soundtrack. The ever intriguing story will have you debate yourself or whomever you play with and the secret levels, easter eggs and multiple endings you can find will encourage you to play the game multiple times to experience everything it has to offer.
It's absolutely replayable but I have to say, it's one of those games I wish I could play blind through it again. While the second game might have it beat in some aspects when it comes to the puzzles (and if you actually care about it, graphics, though the Talos Principle holds up really well) it doesn't beat the experience of the first game. Try it, play it at your own pace blind and this game will be an experience you'll always look back fondly to.

This game was great, and the sequel is even better. Only minor complaints about this game:
- Puzzle difficulty ramped up to be a little too difficult for my smooth brain towards the end.
- Story started off intriguing, but by the end its like "yeah yeah I get it, can we finish up now?"

However overall this game is great and I would consider Talos one of the best puzzle series of all time.

Pretentiousness and pseudo-intellectualism wrapped around a fun, but monotonous puzzle game. So many logical fallacies and plain old bad takes presented as some deep truth. Not a bad puzzle game, the scenery is nice, but it just seemed to try too hard. If they left out their attempts at philosophy, it would be a solid 6 out of 10, but I would give it about a 4 as it is.

Hey, if you like puzzles you will like this game. Will you love it? IDK, it gets extremely repetitive. I just like to play games. Any game. I just play to have fun. This game was fun for about for the first 6 hours or so for me. Then every puzzle was a larger map which you have to memorize, then setup all the sparadic loot you find to get all the doors open, etc.

Ok, some maps were harder than others, some had some combat. It was a good time. Then it got to the point where every map you setup all your gear, you get all the doors or whatnot open and then realize you have to redo everything to finish the last part. Then you have to sit there and see what you dismantle, what ya dont, etc.

I find that part of the game extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I learned your map that i will never see again. i set all my ♥♥♥♥ up with not an inch of room to spare for it to work. I get everything open that i can with the equipment given to me.............only to have to redo it all in the end. Yea F that. You going to do that to me every level? Yea, I don't think so. That's not fun for me.

After I cleared the first couple hours the game leads you to a huge room. Very exciting. Progression felt strong. Map icons are wonderful and in real time. Very well done. So Im in this great room, I cleared rooms for hours and i finally can open there two items. Im so excited. I had to clear so many maps to open these two cool looking things. Nothing. Thats what happens. Absolutely nothing.

Then i look at the remaining doors left, all which have a handful of rooms and then an elevator with all those floors which i presume all have handfuls of rooms. Yea, no thanks man. I rather clear out some of my other 450+ games on my Steam list. Great game if you love in-depth puzzles.

Most of the main puzzles are well done and not too bad to solve. One or two were difficult due to me forgeting lesser used mechanics or not being taught an interaction (maybe i just missing the tutorial puzzle for those interactions)
i love the solutions for stars and all the easter eggs. unfotunitly those are too big brian for me to figure out on my own.

This was such a gem, probably the best puzzle game I've ever played. I'm glad I finally got around to it.

The puzzles in the Talos Principle were wonderful. It deserves praise alone for how well it communicates different mechanics wordlessly At first, I thought some puzzles introduced mechanics like being able to put boxes on drones a little poorly, but after taking the game's advice and moving to another, I often found that the latter was the dedicated "tutorial puzzle." I appreciated how those ones rarely felt like a significant difficulty drop or pacebreaker, the introductions felt natural.
The storyline was very compelling. Compared to other games where participation in the narrative is optional, I found many of the log entries and files interesting and brief enough to not mind their intrusion
Despite the game already being over a decade old, I found it to be aesthetically very pleasing. Even in a single world, the locations were varied and oftentimes beautiful to look at. It has an excellent atmosphere for a puzzle game,[spoiler]outside of the final portion of the tower climb, where there is a soft time limit and a sense of urgency as you go against the narrator's wishes,[/spoiler]the lovely vistas and music create a very calm and relaxed atmosphere that give you space to focus.

My one and only big issue was that despite the native linux build of the game generally running wonderfully, it repeatedly crashed in a certain later location ([spoiler]world A's messenger area[/spoiler]), forcing me to switch to the Windows build.

You gotta be in the mood for existential contemplation to get the most out of this but it's a fantastic puzzle game. I would also begrudge no one for finding the dry reading a bit tedious, so there's that.

You can tell pretty early on where things are going but even so there are several surprises the game has in store (there's a particularly haunting moment at the start of world B) which are especially effective if you allow yourself to be immersed.

Un concept plutôt sympa et original, graphiquement correct et adapté, mais trés franchement ça souffre de sérieux problémes de maniabilité ! Certaines enigmes nécessitent une agilité que le personnage n'a pas du tout ; le reset réinitialise TOUT y compris l'état d'éventuelles zones voisines qui peuvent devenir utiles sur les dernières étapes ; les puzzles à la tetris sont parfois franchement pénibles à résoudre et n'apportent rien en terme d'intrigue ; certaines possibilités pourtant logiques sont verrouillées (exemple : on ne peut pas mettre de crystal sur une plateforme portative) et à l'inverse on est obligés à réaliser des montages illogiques (exemple : le crystal ne peut pas rester au dessus d'un ventilateur seul, il lui faut une caisse pour le stabiliser ...) ; la soit-disante "aide" qu'on peut débloquer un peu tard dans le jeu n'est qu'un texte laconique parfois pas éclairant (heureusement on arrive à résoudre sans) ; enfin l'interface clavier qui pourrait être exploitée scénaristiquement ne l'est que trés peu et de façon un peu lourdingue ; alors on joue malgré tout mais ce genre de détails relous nuisent au gameplay et à l'histoire à la longue. Dommage car le jeu était plus prometteur en soit, mais sa réalisation n'est pas optimale. Cela reste tout de même jouable si on aime ce type de catégorie.

Los puzzles son perfectos y extremadamente creativos. Tienen la duración necesaria para que puedas completarlos y no se te hagan bola. Con la dificultad bien medida y progresiva y con herramientas que se te introducen poco a poco.
El juego para nada destaca únicamente en su gameplay. Tiene un lore denso, fragmentado y muy cargado de connotaciones teológicas, filosóficas y psicológicas. He tenido conversaciones más interesantes en este juego que con la mayoría de personas.
Visualmente me enamoró desde el segundo 1 en la época de Playstation. Como amante de la historia del arte, estar sumergido entre ruinas romanas, griegas, catedrales góticas o templos egipcios, con la calidad gráfica del Unreal... es todo un placer.
Muy buena banda sonora, duración, tiene DLC... No tengo más que palabras de alabanza para semejante masterpiece.
Me visualizo fácilmente rejugándolo por enésima vez en el futuro.

I did not like this game at all.
I was constantly waiting for the story for surprise me. It did not.
Got here thinking it was going to be something like portal and instead I got puzzles that never got me excited and a boring, predictable story.

Very nice and fun game, clearly inspired by Portal (one of my all time favorites), but with darker and more philosophical story line. Puzzles vary from simple to very complex, and can cause some frustration toward the end of the game. There are several different endings depending on your choices...

玩得我恶心想吐（物理意义上的，这游戏晕3D太严重了，视角的快速旋转再加上刺眼的激光，受不了，每次玩30min就是极限。还有闪退问题，一摁字母键就自动切回桌面，必须开着大写锁定才能玩，应该和输入法有关系。

当然，作为一个解谜游戏，它的谜题质量还是很高的，很经典，14年的游戏放到今天也很能打。

There's an intriguing story told through computer terminals, but to get to the end of that story you have to work your way through an average puzzler. The puzzles start out simple, progress to challenging, and then rapidly escalate to very difficult. Some of the very difficult puzzles are real tests, but too many are drudges where you know the solution a long time before you can actually execute it. You have to open doors, carry boxes, record yourself doing a task while waiting around doing nothing. Some are just mean, with demanding requirements for perfect angles or hiding vital elements as pixels seen briefly through a window. I would have loved to see out the story, but the game got in the way.

Bulmacalar fena değil, hikayesi berbat bir oyun. Robot / Generative AI insan olamaz. Böyle sözde "felsefi" bir şekilde ele alınması itici. Çünkü tam bir saçmalık. Ne insandır? Elektrikle ve binlerce pahalı RAM'la rezil video, resim ve diyalog üreten ne insandır ne de insan ürünüdür. Kısaca AI slop'tur. Buna hemfikirizdir. Asıl soru şu: "İnsanlığımızı ve insan olma zevkimizi teknolojiye ve yapay zekaya bedel olarak ödüyor muyuz?" Bence kesinlikle.
Nasıl düzeltilir? Kısaca belirli kısıtlamalar diye düşünüyorum.

By a very small margin I would recommend this game to people who like to play these sorts of puzzle-adventure games. It's beautiful, imaginative and, for a while, fun to solve the many clever puzzles. But as the difficulty of the puzzles begins to exceed the more-frustrating-than-fun threshold, the game loses its appeal. I had fewer than ten puzzles (of the original more-than-100) remaining to be solved in order to reach the game's endings when I decided it just wasn't worth the effort to continue.

This is not just one of the best puzzle games I've ever played, it's also an incredible, philosophical experience about morality and what it means to be human.

The only criticism I have is the replay value. If you want to experience all dialogue options, you might have to play the whole game a second time, which is just not interesting in puzzle games, because you already know all the solutions.
