Game crashes every time I start a battle. Only managed to get through 2 of them through repeated attempts.
Thus I can't recommend it.
From what I've played, it actually feels and plays worse than the first game, but has nice cgs.
Update: I managed to beat the game. Every battle the game would crash, but reloading 1-3 times got it to work for whatever reason
I skipped the whole story, cuz I wasn't sure if I would be able to get past a crash, so I didn't want to get invested in something I couldn't finish, which is a real bummer, cuz it looks like a wild novel that's right up my ally.

Only one battle ran smoothly, the rest barely held together. It only crashed once mid battle, (thank the maker for auto save) but I was always on edge thinking it would. One battle had an awesome song that was really getting me pumped, but then it started just glitching out, barely able to make sounds every now and then. Another bummer to be sure...
For some reason every Sunrider game, pressing that darned screenshot button freezes up the computer for like a minute, and has caused crashes. I don't know what's up with that, but I hate it.
Has some engine problems during battles that result in constant errors, pretty much unplayable for me right now. Nevertheless, it was pretty good back in the day.
My fav part of the whole story. A really emotional and dramatic space opera (which even allows savefile transfer from first 2 episodes)

Como Indie que mezcla Rol, Simuladores y Estrategia, su encanto está en el contraste: pasas de diálogos largos (romance incluido) a batallas que intentan sentirse como un wargame ligero. Si te gustan las novelas visuales con estrategia por turnos, mechas y una historia que sí intenta ser seria (aunque a ratos se sabotee sola), vale la pena. Si buscas táctica pura sin romance ni contenido adulto, aquí vas a sentir que te vendieron un simulador de capitán… y te entregaron también el “paquete de recursos humanos” sin pedirlo.
Well it continues the story (sometimes better sometimes worse) but somehow feels very rushed (storywise) torwards the end. Gameplaywise it adds alot of depth, but on higher difficulty settings you are forced to cluster since the enemy still spams rockets at you for the first few turns (like in the first game). The re-write added storys are fun, but some are kinda hit or miss if you ask me.
all in all still a decend game, but still not super deep story. 7/10

İlk oyunda neredeyse her konuşmada bir seçim yapabiliyorken bu oyunda toplamda sadece "3" seçim yaparak oyunu bitirdim ve seçim dediğime bakmayın ikiside neredeyse aynı yere varan "3" seçim yaptım. The gameplay is the best aspect of this game, by far. I'd say it carries this game from mediocre crap into something that's pretty good. If you're playing this for the first time, play on ENSIGN. Also make sure to respec the team as soon as you can - there's no penalty for doing so in this game.

Sunrider is a well written, fluffy space opera series that has the delightful cheesy harem romance side tone.
The highs and lows of stakes and tragedy are kept in balance by comedy and romance to somewhat realistic support to keep a suspension of disbelief.
This is a 5 star flan egg dish with a fresh cheese topping sure to please most.
This is the second and third act to the series, so make sure to try out the FREE Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, which will act as a great demo to see if you enjoy what the series offers you (even if the game-play changes here and there between each game.)

Sunrider Liberation Day has a very different feel compared to Mask of Arcadius (previous game). That said, if you were engaged by the previous game, you will most likely still like this.
Liberation Day's story is a bit more negative than the previous story, and puts less emphasis on the space opera daring captain and his ragtag crew, and focuses more on intrigue and betrayal. I personally think this was all executed very well, and this game fully engaged me (I have been swallowed whole by the Sunrider franchise).
Liberation Day has a different feel from MoA because you have your degree of control removed, while you watch the events of the main story arc play out. Apparently, this was controversial, which I have been told is why the developers released the Captain's Edition, which reworked the ending, as well as added REturn, which is a time-travelling arc separate from the main storyline.
I can definitely say that I really like the intrigue of the main storyline, and I also have enjoyed the routes in REturn I have played insofar. I like how the clear actions and consequences contrasts with the main game, and I must admit I am a fan of the whole time-travelling theme.
On the technical side, I really like the new artstyle. It adds new depth, and in my opinion is superior to Mask of Arcadius. The voiceacting took me a little while to get used to (especially after listening to their voices in English in the first game), but it's grown on me, and I am definitely a fan now.
Some minor changes were made to gameplay, such as animation removal, and some other minor changes, but the core features are essentially identical to MoA, including difficulty customisability. The gameplay still possesses the clunkiness of the previous game, but I still enjoyed it.

It was a fun turn based tactics visual novel. Definitely enjoyed it!
While the story wasn't bad, Liberation Day definitely felt like a downgrade from Mask of Arcadius that could have used another year to make sure that everything was polished and in a good state. Unfortunately, there are too many nagging issues to give this a recommendation.
Performance is inconsistent suffering from random stuttering and lag during combat phases of the game, worse yet at random times the window will CTD or outright crash the Python engine, most commonly occurring before a battle, after the battle or during cutscenes during battle like after firing the Vanguard.
Lost opportunity with Cosette, they spend so much time in the last game to develop her character yet in this game they totally ignored her, they could have done so much more like having her join the Ryder crew, I mean who wouldn't want to have a Ryder with f*cking chainsaw in space.
Difficulty levels are unbalanced, inconsistent, the AI will regularly fire all weapons on 1 unit and with limited repair on the Liberty you don't have any options except for Resurrect Command, this doesn't help either when more units come flooding in every single turn.
Corners were also cut where they removed the combat animations, sure they take up time however instead of completely removing them an easier option would be to leave them turned off by default.
If you are new to Sunrider, I would pickup Mask of Arcadius first, it's free, then come back to this one if you have the patience for it.
This game not good as Mask of Arcadius. Many plots or visual novel lines are kind of build after another in short term. But, [Re]turn romance ok, and the game itself is not bad at all, just don't give it too much high standard.

Got to love Mission 2 in this game though, really gave me a reason to pull out the console commands because, once again, I am too prideful to lower the difficulty below captain.

I had sought to start playing this game many times but, having forgotten all about Sunrider except the fact I liked it as a teen, I decided to replay the first entry; while the art was a bit crude and the gameplay very meh, the world and its narrative left me wanting to see more of Kayto and crew, so here I am, beginning my final steps of this decade long journey with a sci-fi series I was not expecting to grow so fond of.
First of, Liberation Day steps up both in its audio and graphics: the sounds are clearer, the backgrounds look better and the models don't look so stiff. The girls have more detail to them especially in their hair but they still resemble their original versions, which is nice. The only model that did not change was Admiral Grey's and that was quite jarring.
The UI got a bit of an overhaul but the battle system stayed roughly the same with just small changes and add ons (the captain points have a limit, repairs cost way more, etc); they did take out the close ups for the battles though which makes the fights less cinematic; not really a problem since the cutscenes themselves got a big level up: particle effects, nicer looking art and voice acting of an all new japanese cast. The casting is ok with most voices fitting the characters but hearing Asaga go from "IMMA FIRE MA LAZER" to cute generic anime girl was a bit sad.
The music is still good with an opening that goes very hard but I could not believe when they used the spinning monkeys theme AGAIN in more than one scene.
Unfortunately the game is not accomodating for new people, expecting you to know what happened on the last game and to have played it to completion: this would not be a big thing if not for the fact that the game throws you into combat against a lot of enemies with the same difficulty the last game's final missions had.
Now, for the story: unfortunately for Sunrider, the sequel steers away from the original Mobile Suit Gundam and isntead feels heavily inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Gone are the politics of the Alliance with the only interesting politic being the divide between the two factions of PACT; the main theme is now the harem, of which you have no way of choosing who to go to. They push the Kayto-Chigara relationship even though the most popular girl by the end of the original game was Ava all for plot reasons.
Speaking of plot, while it is definitely better paced than the last game and has some interesting ideas (first and foremost the idea of the Sharr being some sort of weird possession that happens to Ryuvia royalty, shame it never gets brought up again, but also the companionship between Sola and Asaga) the fact that ALL of it, the entire fate of this franchise galaxy, depended on a love triangle was not the kind of thing I was expecting and I don't mean that in a good way.
The way they use Chigara and Lynn in the story, how Asaga feels by the end and the whole thing about time paradoxes feels... off. This could have been a less complicated story and have benefited for it.
That last stand of the Sunrider though? That was exquisite to watch.
I'll keep my eyes open for the series going forward (there is a Sunrider 4 which I might just buy) but I am more cautious for Sunrider than I was when I finished Mask of Arcadius; the way the plot is moving might just make everything I liked about this series fall apart.
While this game and its predecessor share the same value of 3.5, I do believe that story wise Mask of Arcadius was better, with less contrivances; still, one has to account for all of the small and big changes Liberation Day brought, most of them good.

Neat little visual novel with strategy battles. The story is pretty good, but only part of a whole. Start off with Mask of Arcadius, which is free and also good. There are later paid installments, as well.
You lose some cool gameplay mechanics from the first game, but gain overall improvements with graphics and smoothness of play.
Your choices are limited in comparison to the first game, and some critical decisions are made for you. A writing choice I do not care for, but it lends itself to the overall story.
The characters are cute and heartfelt, if generic. Some characters start to act not so in character this time around, but the story does its best to explain why.
The music absolutely slaps. Way better than I would have expected from a free game. One moment in particular near the end of the game has a musical power I will never forget. Made anything bad about the game worth it.

A good mixture of VN and space tactics gameplay.
This is the 3rd game in a series, the first two are free on Steam as one game.
As others have said, visuals are fine, gameplay is limited but decent. But it has some of the worst writing I've seen in a game. As a visual novel it's a slog to get through - which is a shame, in that the general premise and setting are actually interesting.
First off, if for some reason you've stumbled upon this game and haven't played Mask of Arcadius, go do so before considering this game. You have options at the beginning of the game to select how your previous game went down if you didn't complete the game, but without backstory or context it will make no sense. Besides, you would be playing this game but for free, and then you could give your money to this developer by purchasing this game.
As such, as a $25 game, it's not bad...but it's not especially grand either. The combat system is only slightly more polished than the previous game, but I actually had the game crash on me once and two battles I had to tell it to reload (it threw an error but if you look at the bottom there's a reload button and after I hit it the game worked fine). So it feels a little sad paying for a sequel that feels a bit janky, at least with the first game it was free so I can overlook some issues. The way command points are earned and work in combat is probably the biggest difference, it actually encourages command point usage and more aggressive combat so that's a nice plus. Nothing broke my computer and maybe I'm just a bit impatient during the battles, so if you played Mask of Arcadius and expected something different this time, other than command points, it will disappoint you.
The story of the first game (I'll try to keep it spoiler free), maybe not Shakespeare or the best story, but I was very interested in how things would play out. You had plenty of choices, oftentimes it didn't seem matter, but some choices actually will help or harm you in this game. But the choices seem very limited to the "main story" of this game, you don't feel very in control, you feel like you're watching a train wreck in slow motion. In some ways it makes it fascinating, but in others you don't feel like the choices you've made matter anymore. You're watching the character you tried to form with your choices go in a direction that you aren't sure you can agree with especially when your choices in the previous game don't seem to match. Howbeit, once you complete the main story line that's when things get weird. I can't fully explain it without spoilers, but let's just say you get a chance to change things. So, if you've enjoyed the previous game's story, this one takes things in an...interesting direction.
Despite all these criticisms, I got the game on sale for $7.50 or so and I still enjoyed it, especially now that its sequel is out you can experience the full story. So if this game goes on sale or is part of a nice bundle, definitely buy it, but I wouldn't drop $25 on it especially when the sequel is going to cost $30. But if you'll drop $70+ on a brand new game without blinking and you enjoyed Mark of Arcadius then you could do far worse.
le mal-aimé de la saga sunrider. Love in space a voulu mettre du budget pour proposer un jeu plus ambitieux que les deux premières itérations, et le résultat est en dent de scie : le doublage est amateur et peu convaincant, l'histoire passe d'un conflit manichéen à un gloubi-boulga de conspirations assez indigestes, avec un twist final qui en a dégoûté plus d'un.
D'un autre côté la durée de vie est longue, les combats tactiques sont réussis, et les dessins sont en améliorations.

Консоль - это вообще кринж! Если открыть консоль, хрен её потом закроешь! “Закройте консоль на ‘ESC’” - НЕХЕРА НЕ РАБОТАЕТ! Авто-победа тоже срабатывает только на пятый раз! Максимум, что тут нормально сделано, так это визуал! Кроме визуала, ничего интересного тут нет! Сюжет очень скучный, а диалоги до ужаса нудные. Ну и ещё, если вы хотите получить контент 18+, то нужно качать патч! Разработчик почему-то не хочет залить в игру DLC, чтобы у людей было меньше с этим геморроя.

Apparently this had a really bad launch, and had to tack on extended (and unvoiced) story sections and an extra story after a poor ending. Like Mass Effect 3. But handled better.
Either way, I bounced off this really hard in 2019 because of the forced romance route, but getting over that and completing this out in 2023 has shown that it wasn't a mistake to pick this up.
Gameplay is still challenging and is broadly improved over the previous iteration, and while periodic crashes still happen there's now a neat reload button that usually fixes it immediately.

EIn Kampf nach dem anderen, aber weniger Story als im Vorgänger. Trotzdem sollte die Empfehlung (in der Beschreibung (im Steamshop)) den Vorgänger zuerst zu spielen berücksichtigt werden.
Das Spiel ist generell für alle Strategen ob gut oder nicht die Visual Novel mögen, es gibt genug Schwierigkeitsgraden sodass für alle etwas dabei ist. Nur beachtet die von vorne rein eingestellte Schwierigkeit ist bereits für Fortgeschrittene.
Wie beim Vorgänger STRG halten für das überspringen von Aktionen bzw den feindlichen Zug.
EIne Tolle Ergänzung ist der "Return", dieser Spielmodus hat nicht einen einzigen Kampf und ergänzt die Geschehnisse um weitere Story und ein weiterführendes Ende.
[spoiler] Auch wenn es ein primitiver Einfall war alle Happy Endings mit exakt der selben Aktion-Auswahl zu erhalten unabhängig vom gewählten Charakter [/spoiler]
Für 13 Stunden Spielspaß etwas teuer, den Normalpreis hatte ich nicht bezahlt und kann den auch niemanden empfehlen,

Game still lacks grind mode but this time around u dont feel the presure for it. First game was way harder for me (or i just got better at the game). Still the best part is the story which still keeps me playing. Combatt is hard but fair so yeah girnd ur teeth and onward to the 4th game.
Something to keep in mind this series has a weird way to number Its entries, Mask of Arcadius is the first and second game, and Captain's Return is the fourth with this one being the third one in the series.
This entry is a solid upgrade from Mask of Arcadius in every area from story to gameplay, while it leans a lot on you playing the previous two entries it has a build-your-save feature if you lack a clear save game although this entry outside the free DLC has an extremely kinetic nature.
The story while it still shows the great grasp of gray-on-gray morality of a three-power war, the twists being great and a surprisingly good take on the angst that rivals some AAA studios but it suffers heavily from the kinetic nature with next to no options and the ones in border on deciding to do secondary missions or how mean you are with the rest of the crew or if you offer to make amends in the ENDGAME while justified in game and story falls a bit flat, the humor and self-awareness remain and shine on the DLC a lot but are not on the annoying end of the scale and the humor is used on appropriate places.
The gameplay like the art has received a much-needed upgrade that avoids the redundancy some upgrades had and deepens the builds you can make with the use of dedicated skills and upgrades to let you customize your units to a surprising deep end, some of them are behind affection points but not a high number.
The difficulties are surprisingly fleshed out and tailored for people that range from people who just want a stress-free visual novel read to strategy heads. from easy mode, if you want to play just for the story to challenge modes such as space whale that in other games would be nightmare+
now the free DLC, seems it was made from how divisive the ending of the main story is and the very valid criticism of being heavily railroaded with the story itself poking fun at it even is a much more traditional visual novel with a flow chart style of branching, and justifies the 18+ tag on the store too, if you get the golden ending that it which is something that surprised me a lot at first, being less fanservice and more on the "earn the boobie slide" with a rather satisfactory end that makes you feel all the pain you suffered was worth it, with the worse and bad endings being painful but bittersweet to just depressing.
tldr while a bit divisive the story is still on the solid end of the scale and a great strategy game
the 1st is better and with this one the game crashed and i lost some of my data i like the sunrider series but this isn't as good as i expected

I really can't even fathom how devs didn't see any problems with the difficulty of this game. Even at the "Casual" difficulty, we need to strictly find certain strategies and calculation to develop each ryders to proceed the story.
If you give the difficulty of Fire Emblem 5/10, Super Robot War 3/10, then I must say "casual" on this game should be 300/10. Yeah this is literally broken level.
Also, I don't think it's the greatest idea to dub in Japanese even though the texts don't support Japanese.
At least they should have supported English voice too. Because as a Japanese, I see the Japanese that is dubbed sometimes means different from the English texts on top of wrong wordings that make a huge gap about the characters between the text in EN and the voice in JP.
but aside from the "problem" about the difficulty and language, story is well written and characters are enough cute to get me continue to play, and the service scenes are satisfying.
Well, I can thumbs up to this game tho. Just highly recommend prepare cheat methods even if you're going to play on casual or VN before getting started or you might rage-quit.
A huge downgrade from the first game.. while asking you to pay 30$.
No more pondering philosophical concepts, as basic as they were in the first game, such as the few vs the many. MC turned into a completely different character. Game lets you import your choices from the first one but then immediately invalidates them with zero routes & a forced love interest. Gameplay is as broken as ever, where the "recommended difficulty" is essentially impossible. Game is also much shorter... I finished it in ~10 hours where MoA was about 17... Again, you pay 30$ for this as opposed to free.

Worthy sequel to Sunrider saga, follow the story from previous game and improve on several shortcomings past game.
Pros:
- follows the story from previous game, plot is as good or better.
- longer than previous game (nearly 8 hours alone, without REturn, comparing to previous 4 hours).
- REturn gameplay gives a lot of replayablity value for several hours with multiple endings.
- GUI improvement - now it's much clear to see enemy defensive stat, without click-fest.
- Soundtrack is nice and fitting.
- Improved animations and sounds (especially weapons sounds much better).
- limiting and changes to Vanguard cannon (no longer warp & vanguard spam, but in return an upgrade to widen the firing arc).
- splitting research and purchases to separate currencies - finally some more spending spree.
- some tunes and additions to abilities (Paladin draw fire FTW!)
Cons:
- The main story is very linear (very little to none dialogues or choices), while REturn is not canon (not carry to the next game).
- just like with previous game, the story end with "to be continued", which means you have to go for Sunrider 4.
- as usual, could benefit from a few more side missions.
- battle GUI is still clunky and sometimes unresposive.
- had 2 crashes during biggest battle deployment, but the game recovered with no loss of time/save/CTD.
- had 1 unrecovable crash when firing vanguar canon (had to restart, but fortunatly lost only a few minutes of battle).
- game is a bit overpriced at normal cost (fortunately I grabbed it at -75% sale and it's definetly well worth even it it would be at just -50%).

In this next instalment of Sunrider, you carry on from where you left off, defeating Arcadious and halting the development of the Paradox Device, to where you are immediately go into battle (The choices you made previously will give you stuff in this version or you can fill out what best fits you) with pirates, to where you capture Corsette and a L7nn Prototype, after that, your thrown into battle again with a HUGE PACT fleet, which suddenly become super hard, I learned the hard way having to buy merc ships to add more firepower to my team, and it goes into one of those, rins and repeat moments, on that note, I really, REALLY disliked the RTS in this one, the game is poorly unoptimised, I get stutters left, right and center, sounds tend to bug, Asaga English voice lines with play one after another in a few seconds each, FPS would never go higher than 50 and even drop in certain situations, and if you mad click in places, a tool tip would lock in place, rendering the ability to move units, saving and loading doesn't fix this, only by ending your turn are you sought to annihilation or loosing units which didn't need to happen... and then there are moment when you have TOO many units in the field where the game would NORMALLY place allied ships after deployment would make the Renpy freak out and crash a little, having to reload just to loose allied units is... *Sigh* the RTS portion is, bad, really, really bad.
The VN part was fine though, still had its laughs and sorrows, but the 3rd person talking Chigara was, kinda cringe. though the story/plot was pretty good.
Unfortunately, giving this build, I can't really give much praise unlike the previous, if only the RTS wasn't buggy, I'd of given this a thumbs up, Pass on the RTS, buy for the story.
Played with the first one because it was free... now I'm hooked.
It's got bugs. It's got crashes. It's not a groundbreaking story or super complex characters. It's not the most visually impressive combat system. But damn this is a fun space drama and mecha/ship strategy game. Definitely a recommend for those who enjoy space dramas, mecha, cute girls and don't mind playing a game that's rough around the edges.

The sequel to this series is finally, after 6 years, out! Gotta love my first ever Visual Novel Series!
A true space opera in the best of ways. I've replayed this many times for both the story and tactical elements. Nothing beats lining up the perfect shot to destroy multiple ships with the Vanguard Cannon. You can really feel the love the devs poured into this.
As great as it's predecessor and definitely worth a play!

I like it, but I experienced many problems, errors, and crashes that were not at all pleasant.
Overall, Liberation Day is a pretty good third piece to the Sunrider story. Was honestly not expecting the ending to be as crazy as it was (especially that post-credits scene; Kayto's gonna have one heck of a time in The Captain's Return.) But compared to Mask of Arcadius, this game felt like there were fewer battles than the previous two chapters (First Arrival and Mask of Arcadius, respectively), even though there was roughly the same number as the other two (including side missions.) That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, since this game seems to have a larger emphasis on the story (albeit slightly), which I appreciate. And I'm glad to see more Star Wars references if only a few.
[Re]turn, on the other hand, was a unique experience, offering an alternate take on the game's second half. The "true" ending was pretty epic, but quite a bit graphic (in fact, most of this mode's endings are graphic, some more than others (I'm looking at you, Explosive Depressurization.)) But I can somewhat understand why players might have found this mode's true ending to be better than the game's canon pathway.
I really wanted to like this game, after playing Mask of Arcadius and Enjoying the hell out of it, I really wanted to enjoy this game. Unfortunately, from the redesigned combat system to the lackluster story, I was not impressed. As I replayed this game I started to enjoy the story a little more and the post game story makes up for it somewhat, but not enough to warrant a positive review. Hopefully Love in Space makes up for this in the upcoming Sunrider 4, which I am looking forward to. I hope they bring the old English voice actors as well as the old soundtrack back, as those were 2 features I also liked from the original Sunrider game.

Solid strategy game, understands how to make your actions feel satisfying, plus it's a dating-sim~ish. I like the characters at least.
I just can't recommend this game. I don't know how to explain it but I just don't have faith in the developers, they scuffed Liberation Day after catching lightning in a bottle with Mask of Arcadius and I'm almost certain they're going to scuff Captain's return.
It's disappointing man, I hate getting railroaded. Honestly I love the combat, I love the ships and the mechs but the forced romance and stupid penis brained actions of the main character in this game does not give me any faith to the future of this franchise. I also personally disagree with their use of Japanese VAs after Mask of Arcadius, especially when the excuse I've found seem to be that they had problems scheduling the original the original English VAs which is fair enough but they could have just gotten new English ones.
Not just the main girls but I loved the voice acting for the mercenary units they felt alive and I enjoyed fighting with them. Now when I click on a mercenary unit it's just beeps and boops. It feels kinda souless.
Don't bother with Sunrider unless you're desperate for something to waste your time on, there are better strategy space games and there are better Visual Novels out there.

Just be aware that the real selling point for alot of the fans are the "Return" VN Campaign that comes along the captain edition.
Best VR of all time? No. A good time+ angst for your money if you liked the original?

Sunrider: Liberation Day is a very good visual novel combined with a turn based space combat game.
It is a direct sequel to Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, which is free to play. This game gives you the option of importing your choices from the first game or freely selecting them. The story picks up after the end of the first game with choices you imported/selected changing things during this one.
There's a lot of depth in the gameplay as your main capital ship and each of your pilots' mechs have different armaments and roles. You can also hire smaller capital ships. You can freely upgrade pretty much any stat you want on your ship/mechs. Add more hp, armor, evasion, flak to shoot down missiles, shields, total energy, weapon damage, accuracy, energy cost for firing each weapon, number of missiles you can carry, etc.
The difficulty is more varied in this one meaning you have to be more adaptable with your strategy and tactics.
The story is decent enough and most of the characters are entertaining despite being tropes. On the downside, the game engine occasionally has some hiccups, though not as many as the first game had.
If you can get past the animu and occasional tropes, there're pretty decent plot/stories/characters here as well as a really solid space tactical combat game.

скажу честно, это намного лучше первой части игры. полноценная озвучка персонажей, графика, улучшенная рисовка девочек, много картиночек и длс. всё нравится. с нетерпением жду выхода следующей части.

Not a single VN has ever made me invest myself into its storyline as much as the Sunrider saga. An interesting cosmic setting together with a wide variety of strongly developed characters allows for a wonderful storyline full of all kinds of twists. Liberation Day is so far the latest installment of Sunrider but a damn good one. It's only a shame that it was way too short, especially if it wants to justify the full price tag given that its prequel Mask of Arcadius was much longer and is free to play. Nevertheless, grab it on sale and if you liked the prequel, Liberation Day is probably a no brainer.
Continuation of the first Sunrider game. If you liked that one, you will like this one.

这个整体上比上一作同难度下简单太多了，容错很多，兵种很多，再也没有前作总是孤军奋战的感觉了。
同时，资金系统和升级系统分开，也使得曾经不受待见的核弹头以及其他升级重新变得更加有价值
黑杰克号也从打酱油一跃成为C位，帕拉丁多了个嘲讽加盾效果，尽管非常不科学，都是很好的改进。但是过量的单位也使得一轮游戏时长大大增加。
问题太多了，一个一个讲
第一就是报错，虽然重启就能解决问题，但是一个游戏流程出现三次报错对我而言是不可原谅的。
第二个是设定 [spoiler] 作为观测者的Claud在前作铺垫的明显不足，大有强加设定之嫌，同时本身辅助机型，功能不强不弱，真的对得起神这个设定么...？ [/spoiler]
而且说实话，发现自己重金打造的机体不参战时真的有种上当了的感觉
第三是要改变时间线的时候居然没有战斗系统...这核里吗？我不是单纯来推gal的行不行...
汉化装上之后直接疯狂报错，干脆靠着英语实力硬啃下来了，但是还是很难受，有一些关键单词还是要查字典。
打完这一部之后意犹未尽，回去重打了第一部。
然后我发现这一部最大的问题就是完全按日式中二风格去编写。
以前Asaga虽然坚持正义，但是也有大局观。佣兵特务双人组也是各有任务，Claud虽然喜欢调戏舰长，但是真的治疗起来毫不含糊，sola你提到牺牲与战斗的时候会有明显的失落之情。
但是这里最大的问题就是人设没有崩塌，却不断脸谱化，这是其一。
最重要的还是没有弄清楚定位。
战斗与升级是最重要的，gal只不过是顺带推的。
如果能在附带篇加上战斗系统，这个差评我会改过来。
打完所有的结局，发现这个RE也做得很没有诚意
所有选项都是重复的，对你没听错，所有选项，以及一大半文本都是重复的，不同的只是几个小小的片段。
非要让我说的话，应该只能用德不配位来形容了。
战斗作品比上一部明显改进，男主声优开火终于有精气神了，不是上一部软绵绵的fire，配音换成了日语，虽然只换了一半。但是对不起这个价格，因为战斗虽然改进但单场战斗时间过长反而影响体验，剧情有分支但是基本一致，优化也做得不是很好。
啊？你问我有没有装R18补丁？说实话我半点兴趣都没有，对于我来说，这里很多驾驶员换成男的我个人会舒服很多。正经人谁在这种SLG里面冲啊，反而这种机甲战旗体裁我见得少，觉得很新鲜，玩的也很享受。
好了，刚刚打完太空巨鲸难度，来讲讲攻略。
对于两个辅助机体而言，他们受伤的可能性很低，保证基本的闪避和120EN就足够了，sola经典开两枪但是因为溅射伤害裸奔还是不行的。
打完RUVEIN（我没拼错吧？）遗迹之后给凤凰号买那个隐身升级，之后把其拆的一干二净，只留下双刀升级，保证能够有办法一刀一个辅助机体即可，其升级空间很大，甚至可以叠到155能量31双刀能量一回合五刀
太阳骑士号就是激光武器裸奔，动能武器高水准，导弹高伤害，另外就是闪避要点到1000这个价位，你不会后悔的
帕拉丁号由于本作比较有钱，可以考虑135=3*44+3的三连动能武器，也要升级闪避，开个嘲讽一般导弹打不穿
黑杰克号是最多功能的，由于基本上觉醒一直开放，可以期待Asaga在叠够层数之后一发导弹或者动能送任何一台大飞船魂归卡拉，因此导弹，动能都很有价值，另外，与最终机甲战斗的时候，最好把单刀也升级一下，五连刀太快乐了
对于敌人的防御就是围绕核弹头展开的，不管是飞弹夺魂也好，射手单刷也罢，必须将所有拥有核弹头的单位设置为最危险的敌人并消灭，也因此大多数时候guard毫无意义，forward并消灭所有有重大威胁的单位才是任何难度下的王道，我仍然认为这款战旗平衡没有做好，以至于现在进攻几乎是防御的唯一手段。
最高难度下必须尽量杀光所有敌人，自己这边的机体的死亡是难以忍受的，不过幸运的是，即使在最高难度下最后我们也大概有2000+的容错，如果意外损失某个便宜的机体并不需要倒挡好几个回合。
因此一开始三个支线任务建议先刷星云探索，运送孩子留到最后，因为那是数个回合之后直接胜利，我们必须在结束的那个回合杀光所有人赚钱，并且在三个任务都刷完之后升级凤凰号的隐身，太阳骑士号的vanguard溅射伤害，黑杰克的动能武器还有cmd点上限以及所有的可以购买的机体。
之后的战斗基本都很简单，是老一套的东西，最终大决战记得打到25000boss有二阶段，最高难度下意味着你要在算上这一回合的两回合之内打死他。最高难度下狙击手两回合3200,黑杰克配合拖船死亡拉扯能打1w5左右，sl一下动能武器们应该没什么问题。
话说我打这么多字真的有人看么？不管了。。。
Overall good. It was disappointing that my stats and inventory from the prior game didn't really carry over. Also, in the prior game it was leaning towards you being able to pick a girl, but here you get railroaded towards one particular girl. It's not bad (has some good story stuff) but it's unexpected. Looking forward to the next game.
