Niedliche (teilweise gruselige) Visual Novel, mit einem guten Mix aus Humor und Spannung. Die Musik und das Voice Acting sind super, das Gameplay etwas eintönig, wenn man es mehr als einmal spielt, z. B. um alle Endings zu holen. Teilweise waren die Hitboxen der interagierbaren Gegenstände schlecht gesetzt, sodass ich sie nicht auswählen konnte, teilweise hat das Spiel trotz seiner Einfachheit geruckelt, aber beide Dinge haben meinen Spaß nicht großartig beeinträchtigt.

The first chapter of this game is the same as what was in Prelude, but just with updated visuals. Second chapter is where the new content actually is, and it has you juggling between two girls or making a decision between them. The idea is very interesting, but I found the execution to be quite lackluster. The game really doesn't lean into the monster aspect properly enough, Ln'eta is just a typical busty woman with some tentacles on her face, and the other option, Estir, doesn't have anything monstrous going on for her at all! Her sections were bit of a pain and I found them pretentious for my liking.
The third girl only becomes available if you unlock her via secrets and isn't even remotely worth it just for a short segment. Her design would appeal to catgirl enjoyers, but I once again found myself being disappointed by how non-monstrous yet another supposed eldricth god was. I know it was my problem was expecting more from this game, specially when you can see their images from the Store page, but I did think that perhaps they had true forms you could unlock, or that their stories' writing would make up for the generic designs.
I did rather like the idea of the summoning spells, the extremely low effort puzzles did help spice up the game itself a bit, but I was soon annoyed by the spell reading part itself – the “too fast!” alert had me groaning many times even in this short playtime.
The lack of settings to change text speed or enable autoforward was the biggest pain, as you are forced to click excessively due to the absence of these options. On the positive side, there is a skip option which will make it easy to speed through segments if you are trying to get all the endings. I didn't bother getting them all, I got 4 out of 6 in chapter 2 and gave up on the secret chapter. All in all, I've sat through worse games so I can't hate too much but this just didn't have anything really interesting in it.

Mas jogando, ele é leve, divertido e engraçado demais. Foi ele que me fez virar fã da franquia.
O protagonista é um rizzler absurdo, um chad sem medo da morte, e isso é hilário. A forma como esse jogo transforma horrores lovecraftianos em romance é única.
As personagens são muito marcantes, e cada final é uma pérola: tem final engraçado, triste, feliz… tem de tudo.
Depois de jogar o segundo, senti muita falta de várias coisas que só esse jogo tem. Agora é torcer pro terceiro trazer mais disso aqui.

This is a cute and fun dating game with some horror-esque elements. The humor is top notch and it does blend in some light point-and-click puzzle gameplay instead of just being a visual novel. This game is not explicit at all, your goal is to kiss an eldtritch being. If you played the DreadX collection "demo" and liked it then go for this full version, all the updates are for the better.

I have a soft spot for visual novels, especially when they bring a genuinely fresh concept to the genre. Sucker for Love completely caught me off guard, in the best possible way.
The premise alone is absurd and brilliant: you are dating one of the Great Old Ones from the Lovecraftian mythos. Yes, that Cthulhu. Naturally reimagined as an absurdly cute waifu. You know exactly what that implies. This playful clash between cosmic horror and dating sim comedy is where the game truly shines.
Most of the game takes place in the protagonist’s apartment, which keeps the scope deliberately small. The real challenge comes from performing forbidden rituals, dealing with cosmic threats, ancient curses, and other eldritch gods who would very much like to end reality as we know it. Managing these elements while trying to survive (and flirt) creates a surprisingly engaging gameplay loop.
The game is genuinely funny, often clever, and occasionally tense. It never takes itself too seriously, but still understands Lovecraftian horror well enough to parody it effectively. Some sections can be quite challenging, especially the final chapter, which significantly ramps up the difficulty.
Overall, Sucker for Love is a delightful little oddity. It is weird, charming, funny, and far more entertaining than it has any right to be. I had a great time with it, and the fact that there is an even better sequel makes this recommendation even easier.
A true hidden gem for fans of visual novels, horror, and wonderfully unhinged ideas.

Its fun but still pretty buggy sadly, L'neta constantly dissapeared when I left the room, or her sprite was off screen where I couldn't click on her. Still hilarious, creepy but also wholesome. Its fun to explore the paths and see the consequences.

A perfect blend of cutesy rom-com and Lovecraftian horror. I couldn't ask for more. Also, I love D. I'm in love with him. I wish Muu would make a spell book for him. After giving me Ln'eta's first though. I love this game. I would be so happy to see D again in Crush Landing!

Man, its a 10/10 one of the only dating sims I have ever played on steam, and honesty it's one of the best especially with its horror elements during the routes giving tension, and the story is pretty great to the endings. My only regret is I didn't buy this game when it was first released in 2022.
I did NOT expect to like this Visual Novel. I, however, very much did enjoy it! Much more, I loved it.

I love this game. Dynamic story lines, your actions matter, and so much more. Voice acting is super charismatic, routes are pretty fun, and even 100% isn't tedious at all. I don't usually like visual novels because they're kind of boring to me with nothing to do, but the added gimmicks and actions of this one are really fun to play around with. Art's also pretty amazing. I'd say a 10/10.

Sucker for Love: First Date me pegou totalmente pela estética antes mesmo do jogo começar de verdade. Ele tem aquele visual que lembra anime antigo / visual novel retrô, com personagens bem expressivos, traços exagerados e uma vibe que mistura fofura com algo… errado. Tudo parece propositalmente estranho, e isso já deixa claro o tipo de experiência que o jogo quer entregar.
Jogando, fica evidente que a expectativa certa é fundamental. Isso aqui não é um terror profundo nem um simulador complexo: é uma visual novel interativa curta, focada em humor, absurdo e clima lovecraftiano tratado de forma quase paródica. Quando você entra no espírito, o jogo se torna bem divertido, justamente por brincar com o contraste entre romance de anime e horror cósmico.

I started the game about a year after purchasing it and didn't regret finishing it, because I love the pantheon of Lovecraft gods, especially my favorite deity, who's in Nyan form. It's a shame the game is short, but it's very fun and original. By the way, I get an extra point for the vibes and 90s anime style. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys novels and just wants to giggle.
This is a great game absolutely dripping with style! Managing to balance the horror in every situation with a genuinely sweet little love story, it's hard to resist some of these cosmic entities charms! The gameplay is fun, simple and pretty compelling. It's an easy game for most, and doesn't have an insane amount of depth in the early chapters, but it doesn't need to if it's fun. Well crafted with parallels to classic cosmic horrors of literature fame, the game is enjoyable for fans of the genre and is surprisingly high quality, with beautiful art and full voice acting!
Critiques: There are several visual glitches that can happen where certain assets load in over one another when they aren't supposed to, sprites won't load while dialogue audio is playing, animated portions glitch out and only show 3 or 4 frames of the full animation, and of course, the bane of all visual novels: the typos. There is so many typos in this game. If you don't mind them, its fine, but it really gets under the skin for those who care. One would hope they would have patched this by now but no.
Note: I also encountered a game breaking bug. Every time I go into the "load checkpoint" menu mid-game to look at my progress, I cannot leave it. Sometimes it won't even let me load the checkpoint. I can't exit and I can't play. I always have to close the game and restart it, loading up from there. It SUCKS, but I got around it by physically writing down the chapter maps and avoiding the menu altogether.

The game is fast paced and offers many secrets as well as endings. I would say for how fast you can play the game the price is a bit steep but overall I would recommend everyone to play this.
