So this game on the surface looks good, Its a good Zuma inspired game and has 108 levels right? Well this isnt the whole truth. There are 108 levels you have to do in the "Campaign" However, after completing the entire campaign on Normal I have discovered that, in reality there are only 21 actual levels. Basically, its the same 21 levels repeated over and over across 108 levels. Unlike Zuma which had a different level for each of its stages. This quickly becomes apparent when you unlock Survival mode. Survival mode unlocks really early in this game, so you can see for yourself how few levels there are. The game tries to make up for this with its newly introduced mechanics.
So... Lets review this games Mechanics.
Before we get into the mechanics though one thing I should mention. The devs made the strange decision to make all levels a slide level where you slide across the bottom of the screen instead of being placed in the middle of the stage. They also decided it would be a grand idea to not include the mechanic Zuma Revenge had where you can look behind you away from the track to throw away orbs. This means that you basically cannot throw away orbs in this game unless you happen to have a gap in the line. You can try to throw the orbs off in the corners, but I found in some levels the orb line is actually rendered off screen so if you shoot there, it connects to the orb line and pushes everything forward which can cause you to lose if you don't realize this quickly. This also greatly hurts the level variety as you arent placed in different positions on each track, you're ALWAYS on the bottom of the screen no matter what. theres no two stages split in half like in Zuma revenge or other stuff like that. Its always the same thing but with the track being a different path. With that in mind lets move onto the mechanics.
These mechanics are more annoying then anything. Why? Well. Lets start off with what you will encounter first. The Stone Orb. The Stone Orb is a colorless, special orb that cannot be matched but instead needs a match made next to it in order to be destroyed. The Stone Orb would actually be an interesting mechanic on its own if it werent for the second mechanic.
Armored Orbs. Yeah... thats right you heard me.. Armored orbs require 2 matches to be destroyed instead of 1, meaning if you match it, instead of being destroyed, its armor breaks instead. Why is this an issue? Well for 1, it can easily interrupt combos. If you have say 2 greens in between some blue orbs, and you break the 2 greens. if one of them is armored it prevents the combo from happening which can get you killed in some instances. But more importantly Stone Orbs can also be Armored. That's right... you heard me. Armored Stone Orbs. Just... Why? So you have an orb that cannot be destroyed unless you make a match next to it and have to do it twice? Also, it gets even worse past level 100. Once you get to level 100+ Litteraly every single orb will be Armored and you will need to destroy the entire Pusher line twice in order to destroy it. This gets even worse when this game also adopts the system Zuma uses where it eventually introduces purple and brown orbs. So you're basically fighting your own launcher to get the correct color since the devs decided it would be a great idea to reduce the amount of orbs in your slinger from 3 to 2. on top of having to match each orb twice. Oh and this game also has the two hole levels as well. Meaning you have to fight against two holes that have armored orbs that need to be matched twice, and armored stone orbs.
The last issue in terms of the mechanics is the speed of the orbs. I'm not joking you when you get to later levels the orbs start moving so fast that they they might as well be breaking the sound barrier. So if you aren't quick thinking on your feet, don't expect to beat this game. The speed is barely tolerable on normal difficulty. Oh you appear to look confused. Why did I say Normal difficulty?
That's because there's actually also a hard mode, and Nightmare mode. Playing on these difficulties will have the Armored Orbs and Stone Orbs appearing much earlier then they're supposed to and the orbs move even FASTER on hard and nightmare. The orbs in Nightmare difficulty move so insanely fast that you'd need to have the fastest reaction time in the west in order to do it. They basically move at light speed on nightmare difficulty. Now combine this insane speed with Armored Orbs and Armored Stone Orbs and two holes, and yeah you're gonna need a lot of RNG luck to do this one. Speaking of, a mechanic I forgot to mention is theres no "ZUMA" to save you here either. Instead of each level being progress based, you have to destroy a certain number of pushers to complete a level. which increases in number depending on the difficulty, up to having to destroy 10 full pushers to clear a level. There's also levels where you have to survive 120 seconds and the orbs come out endlessly instead of being attached to pushers. aka turning the game into a regular Zuma level.
Also you actually need to beat this game THREE(technically two) times to fully complete the game. Because when you beat Normal mode, it doesn't unlock nightmare difficulty oh no no no. You have to beat the game on hard to unlock nightmare difficulty. So if you beat the game on normal, you're gonna have to play those "108" levels again on hard to unlock Nightmare difficulty, and then another 108 to beat the game on nightmare. Thats a total of 324 levels. Aka you doing the same 21 stages over and over 324 times. This can very quickly get repetitive and boring. You can get around this a little bit if you switch your game from normal to hard right at the start of the game, because they forgot to lock hard difficulty behind defeating normal, so you can reduce the pain by doing the campaign on hard instead of normal, but good luck doing this without your power-ups.
Why dont you have your power-ups? because your powerups are locked silly. This game has a weird feature where instead of all of your power-ups being unlocked, you have to beat a certain number of levels to gain a key. This key lets you unlock a new ability. which if you try to start hard mode this way, its gonna be very difficult as the game is going to act like you already have these powers unlocked when it starts immediately throwing purple orbs at you, and very quickly armored/stone orbs at you as well. Basically, Buy sparkle 2 instead of this game. its a far superior game and actually does its mechanics far better than sparkle unleashed does.

Without getting into too many of the details, I've a certain affection for 10Tons as a developer, given Crimsonland, another game of theirs, helped me through the 3 worst days of my existence. Thus, with high hopes, I went into this one.

+ Just the title screen enthralled me.
+ Fully-voiced intro cinematic.
+ The music, while much more involved than I thought it would be, and more “epic adventure” than “tranquil garden”, greatly enhanced the experience.
+ Not just a reskinned Zuma, as you don't fire from a central point, and I also don't remember that game having power ups.
+ Yes, this is to state that powerups are found in this.
+...and some can be upgraded.
+ In spite of an initial “oh no” about alt-tabbing, I am pleased to report it does so fine.
+ I loved some of the level names, like “The Forgotten Well”, and its successor “The Sodden Trunk.
+ Mixing is fine, though, this likely signals it's a bit on the loud side, so for those that don't turn their volume up until it's just audible, be wary of ear damage, and maybe adjust things down.
+ Has what I call “Nova-stalgia”, wherein something brand new to me triggers that emotion, given this seems exactly like something I would have played in the first two years of having my Steam Account.

~ Hard to accurately-place orbs in some angles.
~ Game never tells you “shoot” can be held down to show a lead, but as you can move your cursor where you want to blap an orb in, that's not necessary.

- Trails only roll back on themselves when they match with the ones after the gap.
- This means you can have powerups blocked by non-moving orbs.
- If you slot a shot into a trail where one of those items is, as well, you don't get it, making many lost because they over-lapped a trail.
- The “Frost” powerup also does not roll things back at normal speed, making it near-useless.
- The game is way too long in my opinion. Had they found a way to keep things fresh, this would not be an issue, but only a handful are “survival” levels in-campaign, which has 108 levels total, but most of the maps reappear several times, after just the 2Xth/nd stage.
- New elements/orb types also stop being introduced around this point, leading to massive amounts of repetition.
- The Achievements only serve to worsen this, as you need to beat the entire game again on both hard, and nightmare...yes, all 108 levels for a total of 324, in order to get them all.
- 5 Stars on even the first survival map is seemingly-impossible, yet you also not only need to do all of them for another achievement, but people have said it's broken, bugger, or otherwise does not unlock, even after meeting the requirements...

While this has not sullied my image of 10Ton[ne]s, I definitely feel this game could, and should, have been a quarter of the length, even for non-achievement hunters. No, they could not have added every power up, but many of those could have been saved for Sparkle 2.
Thus, while I very much think the Nova-stalgia kept it from the lower two ranks, as is, it was...

Not sure what order they were released in but this just feels like a huge step down in every way from Sparkle 2. Everything just feels off. Considering the price tag, just go play/buy Sparkle 2.
I love match-3 puzzle games. Sparkle Unleashed uses this game mechanic but adds high-speed marbles into the mix. There's a storyline but it's very simple and the solution is marbles, obviously. I've completed the campaign which unlocks hard mode so I'll probably run through it again at some point. There's also challenge modes to complete as well. The biggest negative is the repetitive level designs.
I recommend this game to those who love match-3 puzzles, no thoughts head empty gameplay, and a simple retro experience.
This game's gameplay, difficulty curve, and power ups/combos really keep you on your toes. I'd recomend this game to people who like puzzle/strategy of this sort.

Not as good as Zuma

I really enjoy this game! I can never get enough of marble shooting games! If you like Zuma, or Luxor, then you are bound to like this. Much like those games, but so much more. The music is nice and not annoying. As you progress you get to unlock extra bonuses that give you extra firepower or the ability to freeze balls. Another benefit is that it plays in full 16:9, so it fills the screens unlike some of the others. I hope the developer makes more variations and sequels to this game.
If the ball-snake reaches the hole, you lose the level. After a few levels you get some "power ups" that randomly appear after making matches. Every 4 or 5 levels you get a key that lets you unlock more "power ups". You can choose which "power ups" you want to unlock. It's always nice to have control over what special powers you have so you can play in your style. The levels get tougher as the game progresses: 2 ball-snakes at once, zig-zag paths that make it difficult to shoot balls where you want them, tunnels where you can't get at part of the ball-snake while it goes through. Best feature of the game is the power-up unlock system, where each "type" of power-up has several different versions to unlock, and each "type" can have one level active at a time, allowing you to customize your power-up loadout to the level you're going into. Depending on the circumstances, the highest level power-up may not be the right tool for the job, and the system encourages exploration into determining what powers match your playstyle.
Хорошая головоломка в стиле Зумы и Люксора, но при повторном прохождении настолько сильно задирает планку сложности, что становится максимально несправедливой и буквально впустую жрёт ваше время и нервы. Рекомендую к однократному продолжению, а потом удаляйте ее на хрен!

It is good at what it does. Sadly what it does is infuriate me. Having said that, it is sort of a good game. You would expect nothing less from 10tons, which is why I bought it, to complete my 10tons collection.
The gameplay is a cross between Match 3 and Centipede. Not a lot else you can say about it, it gets faster and more involved but really you just match balls to shorten the length of the chains trying to get past you.
I did manage to complete it on Normal setting but hard is beyond me. I nearly ragequit on level 63 on Normal so I know I have no chance on Hard. Still, it is diverting enough, if matching coloured balls is your thing.
While the premise of the game is not new, it's fun. Graphics are not great but that's not the end of the world. What made it too frustrating to continue playing is that the controls sometimes went awry at critical points, switching rather than shooting. I don't mind losing fair and square, I do mind losing because things stop working the way you expect them to.

I won't say I hate it but the difficulty of this game is brutal. These maps are short compared to Sparkle 2, especially with dual trail. And that stone orb with a chain is my worst nightmare.

this sequel to sparkle 2 is horrible. don't pay $8 for this game when you're not gonna get any replayability from this game and because of the new mechanic making you locked to just moving in a line, it makes things unnecessarily hard to just pick up that i wish some of these new mechanics for the orbs (balls) were in sparkle 2 in the first place. seriously, get sparkle 2 for the better experience, more fleshed out game.

This game is very challenging and fun. I used to play luxor and zuma type games and this is my favorite. Even though I have like 288 fails I still love it.
i love this game which u can clearly tell from my hours. it's a causal game before all, but it's really fun imo. if you like games like zuma then you'll like this game
Not as good as Sparkle 2, still a great time though, has the same great music, voice acting, and artstyle Sparkle 2 has, with some additional gimmicks that shake things up like the chain and rock orbs, and the Luxor-style ball shooter is a nice change from the other Sparkle games. Highly recommend picking it up if you liked Sparkle 2 and wanna complete your Steam collection of Sparkle games :)
Only complaint is there doesn't seem to be an option to switch to the quick-launch mode Sparkle 2 and the Nintendo Switch version of Sparkle Unleashed use, the ball only launches after you release the mouse button instead of launching immediately upon clicking, which makes it feel a bit slower. Sparkle 2 has both quick-launch and the slower launch-on-release modes on different buttons on the Nintendo Switch version, so it would be great if Sparkle Unleashed on Nintendo Switch got that option, and if the PC versions of these games had the option to switch between the two for mouse controls.
the game is so fun and beautiful, the graphics is mind blowing and i freaking love it
I started to play Sparkle 2 first on a mobile around 2016 then some years later on PC. Finally, many years after I got Sparkle Unleashed that was the first game. All I can say that it is stunning how decent even the initial game was. Simple and fun. Thee are many ball poppers around but Sparkle branch was always my favourite because its balance, speed and fine music.
Honestly don't know what qualifies as a "good mindless game" but this one didn't do it for me.

This is a colourful, a challenging and an excellent marble game in the Sparkle series, despite the fact that what I disappoint the most is that the balls act like a property of its game developers' native tongue.

Nothing could be more livable and fun than the magical challenge of Sparkle Unleashed , the classic box of pieces to fit in colors ... it is adorable.

We all know this is just a clone of Zuma, right? It's less polished, less precise, has more frustrations, and is generally ♥♥♥♥ in comparison. I'll try Sparkle 2 and see if it deserves any praise.
It's a mediocre Luxor clone, but it's not horrible. It looks like there are only a handful of board(?) layouts which are reused a lot, but there is some variation in the amount of colors and the difficulty in destroying them. It's a decent game for the price -- especially if it's on sale. Just set your expectations low and you won't be too disappointed.
Absolutely magnificent game, but don't overplay it because it will get boring that way.
A neat match 3 game.
There is a line of balls that you need to clear by matching colours. You do it by shooting from the bottom of the screen on the line thats on the pathway. Throughout the game pathways change, although a lot get recycled. But difficulty also increases by things like chained balls (which need to be matched several times) and the like.
You also get special power ups when you make bigger chains. Every 5 maps you get to unlock a new power up and customize. There are over 100 maps. There are also endless modes.
But I dont recommend this game, because it cheats. Ive noticed whenever I have a long line I get colours that have few balls in the line, like 1 or 2. And when I try to shoot them into the side they reappear for a while. This is particularly annoying when you have a long line you need to get rid of, could use 3-4 colours to clear it, but get the 1-2 that are blocked because of the shape of the pathway. This is especially bad when the entire map is blocked by incoming lines and you cant shoot them into nothingness. You have to shoot them into the other lines, mismatching them even more. But you dont have an option, you need to get something else to work with. I got used to it and worked around it, but it was very annoying.

Good time waster, especially if you liked Zuma back in the day. There are power-ups and other challenging factors that come up in every level as you progress. Graphics are also nice for the genre. One negative point for the monotonous game play, however, as maps aren't much different from one another, and the story line is quite dull/pointless. $7.99? Nah, but I still recommend as I do look forward to wasting more time on it!

У этой игры есть один чудовищный недостаток, которые перечёркивает все её достоинства. Дело в управлении. Праща выпускает шарик не по клику мышки, а после отпускания кнопки. Вам нужно выпустить шарик - вы нажимаете кнопку мышки, а шарик не летит... шар вылетает только после того, как вы отпустите кнопку. И в результате получается, что шар вылетает с опозданием. Если на первых этапах данные момент сильно не раздражает, то по мере прохождения игры хочется её просто выключить. Во второй части этой игры Sparkle_2 этот неприятный момент уже исправлен и игра приносит удовольствие. Но Sparkle Unleashed к покупке крайне не рекомендую. Абсолютно нелогичное и непродуманное управление сводит на нет прекрасную идею. Я большой любитель игр с шариками, но такое отвратительное управление встречаю впервые. P.S. Прошёл игру до конца. Изначально была хорошая задумка и в целом игра неплохо оформлена и организована, хороший саундтрек. Но как я уже писал раньше, из-за непродуманного управления портится всё впечатление от игры в целом. Очень жаль, могла бы быть классной игрушкой.

ZUMAというかパズループというかその辺りの、ジェムを打ち出して同じジェムが3つ以上そろうと消えるゲーム。
ステージによって全ジェムを消すか一定時間しのぐのがクリア条件になっている。
ジェムが終着点の穴に落ちてしまうとステージ失敗で、ジェムのレーンは主に8レーンくらい流れてくる。
アイテムは３コンボごとに現れて、ジェムを打ち出して当てることで取ることができ1発使えるようになる。
右クリックで打ち出すジェムを次のジェムと切り替えられ、これでアイテムも温存するのがコツなのかもしれない。
日本語は無いがこのアイテムの説明以外は言語依存は無いので（旅の途中、オブジェクトに対しコメントが付くが、まぁゲームとは無関係なので良しとして）、あまり気にならない。
通常のモードは（たぶん）全108ステージ、他にサバイバルモードあり（エンドレスモードで耐久時間によって★評価が付く）。
残念ながらアクション苦手系ヌルパズルゲーマーの私には第107ステージが超えられず、全ステージクリアの実績が取れなかったです。また機会を見て挑戦しようと思いますが…。
反射神経と臨機応変な思考力がそろっていれば、普通のクリアは出来るであろう、といった感じ。
普通に遊ぶだけだと実績半分くらい解除になるんじゃないかな。高ディフィカルティ実績もあるけど、難易度ナイトメアで1.9%取得されているので出来る人ならそこまでありえない難易度でもないのかな？
まぁ地味ながら普通に遊べて面白いんだけど、この古典的なゲームに価格設定が見合っているかというと、少～しだけお高いかもしれない。
ちょっとした時間つぶしを何回でもできる作品を求めている人や、シンプルなアクションパズルが好きな人にはおすすめ。
Great reaction speed/puzzle game. Very enjoyable. Simple but addictive.
Zuma clone, could have been fun, but still has a bug in it where the program gets confused between the left and right mouse button. When you want to shoot a ball, it swaps your last two ammo items. All you can do is close the game down, restart and retry.

Sparkle Unleashed ne réinvente pas le genre, mais est un jeu agréable à jouer à petite dose car le principe est tout de même fort répétitif malgré les nombreux design de niveaux.
Sparkle Unleashed est typiquement le genre de titre prévu pour mobile, non conçu pour qu’on se penche dessus pendant des heures, mais plutôt pour qu’on y joue régulièrement sur des durées limités. Dans ce rôle, Sparkle Unlimited se défend très bien, car il offre un contenu conséquent, et surtout un gameplay bien étudié qui peut facilement accrocher le joueur. Peut-être pas au point d’y passer des heures d’affilée, mais assez pour rater le début du match ou du film ! En bref, un petit divertissement pour passer le temps ! >> 13/20
If you like match 3 marble games (Luxor series, etc.) then this is likely your kind of game.
Positives:
-Gameplay- Simple and fun with plenty of power-ups to unlock (some of dubious benefit, but what can you do?) and it won't have you pounding your head on the table with frustration until the last couple dozen levels out of over 100. Of course, that's on Normal difficulty; I have no idea how ridiculous Hard or Nightmare would be, and I have no interest in finding out :)
Meh:
-Music- This is catchy and fun, but as you can well imagine, it gets on your nerves after awhile (despite having several tracks, eventually they get repeated....A LOT!)
-Graphics- It's a marble game.....so the graphics aren't exactly eye-popping (and some of the landscape/intermission scenery is even a bit ugly), but then you don't play this sort of game for the graphics.
Negatives:
-Achievements- You will (in all likelihood) NOT 100% this game; getting 5 stars on EVERY challenge level seems like an all but insurmountable task unless you have the reflexes of a cat, the visual acuity of a bird of prey, and the attention span of a gnat on meth. I see that a small percentage have indeed completed all the achievements successfully, but I can't see how the vast majority could reasonably do so without hours and hours and hours spent with the sorts of skills and dexterity I'm not sure I possessed as an adolescent, let alone now!
Overall, I rather enjoyed myself and it's the kind of game you can play for 10 or fifteen minutes and complete two or three levels. So, well worth the purchase (on sale, that is!)

TLDR: Do not buy unless you want to do exactly what you see in the images over 100 times.
This game is an acceptable puzzle game to waste your time with. However, I am a bit shocked at the $8 price tag for something that feels just like an old free mobile game, but without ads. The gameplay is simple and fun for the first hour, but you soon realize that you're asked to do the same thing over and over again in about 10 different maps with slightly increasing difficulty. The only thing that seems to change is the upgrades of the powerups, which do not seem to matter as much as you would think. However the main reason I am giving this a negative review is because of some fundamentally flawed game design decisions that simply make this game tiring.
Here are some examples:
- The orb selected to be thrown will change color whenever any color stops having any presence on the level even when the orb you are holding is not that color. For example, you could be holding blue, ready to launch it at an appropriate position, but a chain reaction in another part of the level caused all greens to disappear and without warning your orb could change to red while you are shooting it, causing you to mess up.
- Powerups are not as helpful as they seem. In many of the "harder" levels, with twisting paths and multiple pushers, it can easily become impossible for you to pick them up and will sometimes even move to an impossible to reach position on their own. They also take a random amount of time to finish (fireflies, meteor strike, etc.), meaning that a player might be forced into doing an incorrect move thinking that the powerup was done.
- Orb placement has proved to be a bit inconsistent. While shooting two orbs in succession from the exact same position, they ended up being placed in different locations.
- There is no penalty for throwing away orbs.
- The speed at which the orbs move is quite varying and hard to predict.
The level patterns might repeat often, where you get the same snakey paths with a bridge, but the powerup system makes it addictive to play, unlock new bonuses and working to reach the end of the level trail. A decent Puzzloop clone!
One-Line Review: Superb example of the marble-matching genre, though the length of the campaign somewhat outstays its welcome.
Best feature of the game is the power-up unlock system, where each "type" of power-up has several different versions to unlock, and each "type" can have one level active at a time, allowing you to customize your power-up loadout to the level you're going into. Depending on the circumstances, the highest level power-up may not be the right tool for the job, and the system encourages exploration into determining what powers match your playstyle. The unlocks are also selected directly by the player, so you can build down certain "type" paths early to get a good power. An especially savvy player could potentially only unlock one or two specific "type" paths and never unlock the others, allowing more consistent use of the selected powers, but I'm not prepared to wipe my game to test that.
Worst feature is probably the chained balls. The chained balls mechanic requires a match to be made using the chained ball in order to break the chain, at which point you then have to match again to clear the ball. Maybe a standard mechanic, but in later levels, this game skews faster than some others in the genre, and getting stuck with a double-chained single ball somewhere in the line is a massive thorn.
The other major gripe is with the length of the campaign. Even for a casual player, doing one playthrough on one difficulty comes in at around 160 levels if I remember correctly. These levels are split into 8-10 level chunks with specific formatting that repeat for the whole campaign. The power-up system is a great carrot to continue moving through progression, but a single campaign is also enough to unlock all of the power-ups, which means that higher difficulty playthroughs have no carrot to keep you driving forward beyond your own motivation.
For completionists, this game is hard to recommend. There are achievements for beating the game on 3 difficulties, which can each only be reached by finishing the previous, for a grand total of 360 levels. On top of that, there are dozens of survival levels which must all be survived long enough to get five stars. As of writing this review, I am on 14 hours of playtime, halfway through the second difficulty, and I've only five starred two or three survival levels.
To recap the one line review, this game is a great example of the genre, and I think the power-up system is really innovative. But it's held back by the sheer volume of content that it expects you to complete, with very little reward in-game for continuing to push through. If I had to make one specific suggestion to improve the game, it would be to allow unequipping power-ups, to allow players to pick just one or two powers to take into a level if they choose. As it stands, once you unlock a "type" path, you're locked into always having a power selected from it.
A ball based puzzle arcade game, match coloured balls in sets of 3 or more to clear them from your long winding snake path, it's pretty much Luxor so it's fun!

As a dad, I rarely find the time to delve into a deep, all-engrossing gaming experience. This has lead me down the dark path of casual gaming, of which I enjoy quite a bit. Sparkle Unleashed is an absolute gem, providing just enough variety to keep me engrossed without spending the entire day playing it. It's easy to jump in, play a few rounds, and get off. The music is also incredibly pleasant. You'll enjoy it, really!

Is a pretty alright game, nothing much fancy that a lot of other games throw about. Everything's pretty straight forward, and it has its challenges.
Just one problem: The very "mouse" that you use to throw the marbles to connect everything? Yeah that thing is gonna be your worst enemy out of this entire game and you're gonna hate it with every fiber of your being and every pixel of that "mouse".
Why's that? Because it seems to have the most inane color picking method possible. If you have a SINGLE color hanging in the WAY back of the marble train or anywhere where you CANNOT get a marble in, that "mouse" is gonna to pull off so many mental gymnastics trying to explain to you for the next 5 marbles why it wants you to have THAT color and THAT color alone. That thing is gonna be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and a half to you, and you better hope you can dump marbles and find the one color(s) you need cuz its gonna make sure you waste enough time to reset the level.
And you're gonna be resetting a LOT because of that "mouse".

If you played PopCap's Zuma games, this is that but all fantasy with a nice flutey renfair soundtrack. The powerups are nice and help out a lot, ♥♥♥♥ does get a little hard over the hundred-plus levels. Get it on sale or in a bundle.

This is the first Sparkle type of game I've played. It was ok. It is a nice time waster and something to play between other games for short periods.
There really isn't much variety between the levels. The storyline could have been much better as it was pretty much about nothing. The narrator sounds cool the brief times you hear him. The powerups in the game are pretty good and add a little variety to the gameplay. I did not like how you can click on the edge of the screen and it pauses the game. Several times I paused this game this way on accident. This game is just ok, but I'm glad I played it to see what it was about.
Well, it's a jewel match game. And it is competently done: smooth aiming and shooting, interesting power-ups that you can choose to unlock by gaining keys, and the difficulty curve is balanced ... but it seems a bit off. The shooting process is sluggish, and the speed with which the balls move is way too slow to get into a good rhythm. It is ok as a time-waster, but there isn't anything here that compels you to go forward except your own sense of how much time you'd like to waste. For a budget price it is a budget game.

Когда-то залипал в похожую серию игр на египетскую тематику - Люксор и там хотя бы были красоты с египетскими достопримечательности и тоже всё на английском. Та серия игр была довольно обширной от Popgame. Эту же серию похожих игр не рекомендую - они вторичны и тоже всё на английском. Хоть и есть какой-то элемент прокачки.
Зато в отличие от Люксора здесь есть хотя бы достижения, карточки и облачное сохранение. Поэтому мотивация играть есть, к тому же прогресс на другой системе не исчезнет. Неуд ставлю только по причине отсутствия русского языка и общей скуки игрового процесса...
Лучше играйте во вторую часть - там всё красивее и на русском.

Sparkle Unleashed is another entry in the classically styled match 3 bubble pop series, but it doesn't quite hit the mark as well as others have. Still, it has a fair amount of hours of fun to be had if you can get it cheaply.
The game has a solid difficulty curve, never spiking out of nowhere on you. There's a loose campaign story, but it really just takes you from area to area, popping bubbles. This is the kind of genre where people already know what they're looking for. So, what would make Sparkle Unleashed stand-out amongst the crowd? Not much, honestly. There are plenty of levels and achievements to be had, but they can be quite the grind. There are a good number of unlockable power ups, but after 2 or 3 hours, you'll have unlocked most, if not all, of them. From that point, it's just increasingly difficult levels with repeating backgrounds until the end of the game.
There aren't too many other game modes to experience, either. There are time challenges and an endless survival mode. Basically, you'll work through the campaign until you don't feel like progressing anymore.
I wouldn't pay full price for it, but if it goes on a deep sale, or you find it in a bundle, it's worth playing for a few hours. Again, I find myself wishing there were a neutral option for Steam.

SAVE YOUR MONEY EVEN ITS 99% OFF. I wanted to like it but I don't. You would think that since they have done a few prior that this one, it would be good to go... NOT. Why the hell do you have the option for a window? I really want to know because you don't confine the mouse pointer to the game window and that means the mouse is all over the place and switiching between different windows... Yeah, that was wasted money although I now know to avoid anything from you in the future and can tell all to do the same.
A decent Zuma-like game. You can complete the main quest in 4.5 hours. Then you unlock a harder difficulty and after that you unlock the hardest dificulty. But the content stays the same. There is a survival mode, but it's not very satisfying, just very time consuming doing the same thing over and over again just to get 5 stars.
This game lacks variety in game modes and level design.
An excellent game, spoilt by the fact that the last stage is impossible.
After long day it's nice to play with balls and relax :)

- графон, от которого вытекают глаза. Да, для подобной игры это не главное, но все же...

The game has two fun game modes ("campaign" and "survival"), a nice soundtrack and a cool power up system. There are also three difficulty modes, but you have to complete the entire campaign on a lower difficulty mode before you can play the harder one.
The game has two annoying problems though, specially for completionists:
1- [b][u]One achievement is broken (Survival Star)[/u][/b]: you have to get 5 stars on all 21 survival levels, and it's pretty frustrating when after all that you don't really get the achievement.
2- There is an unreasonable difficulty spike from "Hard" to "Nightmare" mode: I'm used to completing games on the highest difficulty mode, but this one in not "fun difficult", it's "infuriatingly difficult".

I have really really tried to like this game, but ultimately find it so frustrating that I give up. I loved Sparkle 2 -- the previous game. So the pros: great graphics and when they work great mechanics. Cons: the ball you are shooting changes color between strings and if you don't waste the time to double check your colors your shots get messed up. Additionally, when the line is close to the lower edge and you want to shoot the ball -- too bad. It will just sit there until you move to a location where the ball and shooter are separated enough and then it will allow you to launch. These seem to be pretty big bugs to me for an otherwise slick game.
Frankly, I'd get Sparkle 2 again but you can skip over this one as just a major frustration.
Sparkle was one of my most favorite childhood games. I wish that all of the 10tons Ltd games were ported to Steam, including those that were available on GameHouse, but they're no longer there. Those old games, that still didn't get their Steam port. GameHouse should do the same with all their games, including Collapse, instead of just Delicious and Fabulous

Similar to the Zuma series or Luxor, you shoot colored balls at a slowly moving ball-snake (my termonology) that is trying to get to a hole in the ground. If the ball-snake reaches the hole, you lose the level. After a few levels you get some power ups that randomly appear after making matches. Every 4 or 5 levels you get a key that lets you unlock more power ups. You can choose which power ups you want to unlock. It's always nice to have control over what special powers you have so you can play in your style. The levels get tougher as the game progresses: 2 ball-snakes at once, zig-zag paths that make it difficult to shoot balls where you want them, tunnels where you can't get at part of the ball-snake while it goes through, etc.
Power ups include:
Slow - always useful!
Backwards - the ball-snake creeps backwards for a few seconds
Shooter (I forget what it's called) - you shoot a fire dart, first only one but later you can upgrade to 3.
Blast - creates a big blast that takes out all balls in the area of the blast, small at first but can be upgraded
Orb of Decay - This is a good one, though it sounds like it would slowly decay them it actually does it instantly. A trail of black smoke destroys orbs in a certain area when you use this one.
And more that I have not unlocked yet.
The main gameplay area is shown as a map that you progress across (I can't remember if there was some kind of story).
There is also a Challenge area where you try to play levels as long as you can. Those unlock as you go along in the main map gameplay. I'm not sure if there are leaderboards or if you are just playing for your own record.
There are Achievements.
There are Trading Cards.
There are 3 Difficulty settings including "Nightmare" for those who want a challenge!
Graphics aren't the greatest (looks like a phone game) and the music is probably that free stuff but I just want to play, I don't care how things look and sound. There is one music track I like that is fun and quirky. I assume it randomly picks a track.
It's a great game for short bursts of play.

You get pretty much exactly what you see here on the store page and you should know before you buy this game if you're into this sort of category of games or not.
I am usually but this game got a bit dull after 1 and a half hours of playing.
Mostly due to nothing new happening.
Most of these games have some sort of new aspect every now and then, a new thing that gets added to the game-play every 5-10 levels.
This game offers literally the same game-play throughout the entire game except for the power-ups that you unlock, and you quickly get all of them and they do not really add anything unique to the game. It's the same sorta power-ups you see in every game like this.
The art is extremely boring and dull to look at.
There are a lot of other match-3 type games out there that are better than this one, and I just can't recommend this due to it being very dull and boring after an hour and 30 minutes of playing.
EDIT: I do have to say though, the voice actor that tells the so-called story is amazing.
I felt a little bad not giving him credit in my review, he deserves it.

Absoulut aufpolierter Zuma-Clone. Das Spiel an sich ähnelt dem Vorgänger Sparkle 2 spielerisch als auch optisch sehr. Im Prinzip müsst ihr im Spiel Reihen von mindestens drei gleichen Farben kreieren (Match 3). Diese verschwinden dann vom Spielfeld. Das Ziel eines jeden Levels ist es, alle Murmeln aufzulösen und diese nicht bis zum Endloch rollen zu lassen. Solltet ihr doch zu langsam sein und eine Murmel ins Endloch fällt, ist das Level beendet und ihr müsst einen neuen Versuch starten.
Die eigene Murmelschleuder zeigt die nächsten zwei Murmelfarben an, außerdem lassen sich durch mehrere Farbkombinationen Powerups generieren die dann irgendwo auf der Map erscheinen. Diese könnt ihr dann durch abschießen aktivieren.
Seine Murmelschleuder kann man durch Verzauberungen upgraden. Hier hat hat man mehrere verschiedene Typen zur Auswahl, kann pro Verzauberungsebene aber nur eine wählen und je nachdem welche man auswählt, ändert sich auch die Spiestrategie. Als weitere Hilfe ist es möglich die zwei kommenden Murmeln zu wechseln, was sehr hilfreich ist, vor allem in den späteren Levels.
Die Grafik ist sehr gelungen. Full HD-Auflösung wird - im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger - nun endlich auch nativ unterstützt. Vorher ging das nur mit einem Hack in der Config-Datei. Auch die musikalische Untermalung ist sehr eingängig und passt prima zum Spielgeschehen.
Die Kampagne sollte mindestens 7-8 Stunden andauern, also für solch ein Casual-Spiel wirklich viel Spielzeit.
Die Errungenschaften im Spiel sind wirklich sehr schwer zu ergattern, 100% sind meiner Meinung nach fast unmöglich. Ich habe nach einer Stunde nicht ein Achievement und so schlecht bin ich normalerweise auch nicht :).
Ich kann dieses kurzweilige Spiel absolut empfehlen, aber wer schlau ist sollte vielleicht warten bis es in einem Bundle erscheint statt knapp 8€ zu zahlen.
