i like it. it does a really good job at emulating the feel of a lot of older computer games. im sure they could've stopped at just making it another bubble shooter type game, or just making it a zuma reskin, but all the powerups feel quite different from the ones in zuma, even the ones that function the same.

im not normally one for level formats, but it works alright here.

i love the soundtrack, and i wish i could purchase it.

now im gonna be a little mean. sparkle 2 is piss easy. im about 1.4 hours in. i have not ever lost and i never feel like im in any real danger when the balls approach the hole, even when the situation seems dire. sometimes the launcher gives me the exact same color of orb three times in a row, which is very difficult to strategise around when im trying to make combos in literally any other color.

I had this game in my library for so long that I genuinely forgot what it's about. All-in-all, Sparke 2 is a neat little time killer. I used to play the original Zuma, the OG from back in the day, and it is fair to say that this is a solid Zuma-like replica. You have powerups, you have special combos, levels are somewhat hard but entertaining. It has some story but it's forgettable to say the least. In overall it's a decent time killer, and if you are a fan of the genre I'd recommend trying this out.

7/10 - fans of the casual genre will love this one. It's not my cup of tea but I'm sure someone will have a great time with this!

Для любителей игр из жанра bubble-shooters, эта идеальная игра. Чтобы выполнить все достижения в этой игре, вам необходимо пройти игру 3 раза на разных сложностях, но это этого стоит, ведь игра затягивает на очень долго и ты не замечаешь как проходит уже 3-4 часа, а ты добираешься все дальше и дальше. В игре есть книга со статистикой где расписывается твой прогресс в процентном соотношении, из-за чего появляется большое чувство прогрессии в игре, учитывая что в сюжетном прохождении есть карта с продвижением по уровню, которая выполнена очень интересно. Игра не утомляет, а наоборот затягивает. А если учитывать что в игре и так большое количество контента с разными типами испытаний и улучшений, то это идет только в плюс.

Что касается атмосферы, то тут тоже все на высшем уроне. Нет нечего лишнего, графика очень приятная для глаза, музыка в моменте тоже очень сильно западает в голову, но кроме этого разработчики добавили в игру хоть какой-то сюжет, что очень гармонично смотрится на фоне всей игры.

Платина тут не сложная, и при этом очень даже интересная!. Жаль что первой части Sparkle нет в стиме, а таких игр такого жанра и такого качества уже не делают. Хорошими конкурентами будут Zuma и Luxor, при этом у последнего к сожалению проблемы со совместимостью на новых операционных системах.

The game is mostly fine. Occasionally, the orbs will change color right before you shoot them. I get the marbles change so you don't have a shooter full of colors not on screen but sometimes, they change unexpectedly.

Can't really comment on the music since I had it off for most of my hours playing. The sounds were fine though kept them low.

It's a decent title and I was able to perfect it so, yeah, I recommend it.

to satisfy your zuma and tumblebugs cravings but beware you will be burnt out with playing the quest mode 3 times for the achievements...

for those who play with a more casual pace, the nightmare difficulty will be really tough (i could complete the first level but felt the frustration in on level two immediately after 5 game overs in less than 15 minutes) if you don't equip your slinger with the proper enhancements. my tip is to [b] pick Tar, Head Start, Tranquility, and Flame Purple [/b]. the game might last longer than your usual runs but it does help to slow down the orbs' speed so you can catch up!

there are also other modes too like survival (which i don't understand why it won't just end once you achieve 5 stars for that level since that's the only objective?), challenge (don't have much say in this except repetitive tracks) and cascade (which i didn't play). there are also no points nor lives to collect so i really don't understand the survival mode... would usually just leave the orbs to be sucked at the end of the tunnel after i reach those 5 stars.

in terms of the story, it isn't as exciting as compared to zuma and tumblebugs which have more of a lore behind the animal you play as the slinger. the story is quite bland for my taste or i might have overstayed my welcome with playing this game 3 times continuously... but even after you unlock all of the enchantments for the slinger, you still have to play the same route in the other difficulties which really bugged me. it would have been better if the sections were closed off and a side storyline could be provided for the hard and nightmare difficulty as to not burn the player out. a plus side here is the narrator's voice which is calming yet ominous as you complete the quest to search for keys to open the portal at the end. music is also good which hypes me up to play and gives me nostalgia while i battle with the orbs :p

there are various powerups such as purple flame, butterflies, fireflies (listing down my favourites), and others as compared to zuma and tumblebugs which provides as a balance to the speed of the orbs rushing in nightmare difficulty.

i recommend this game if you have an itch for this type of gameplay... but if you're just starting out, i recommend playing zuma first to get a hang of the speed and colour matching (:

Just realised that i never wrote a review for this.
A chill puzzle game ideal for brain fog moments. You pop marbles by throwing marbles of the same colour as them. Has a lot of levels to do and some can be really challenging but you also unlock buffs to help you.

Be aware that finishing in Nightmare mode won't unlock the achievements for lower difficulties! Silly devs.
Also even if it isn't important, the game has no ending. Sorry for the spoil, but there is nothing, despite the little hype the game builds up :(

If you like Zuma games this is a beautiful addaption with a sort of story mode and some challenges. I do want to add that it starts out too easy and you can only change the difficulty when you make it through the portal at end. The nightmarish difficulty is too difficult and the easy difficulty too easy in my opinion.

One of the most polished well made ballshooter match 3 games I've ever played. Highly recommend giving it a shot if that is your thing! Also has great music and voice acting, and the artstyle/aesthetic reminds me of older casual PC games of this kind.

Gameplay-wise, it definitely feels like the developers took a lot of care to make this the best-feeling ballshooter game. Unlike older ballshooter games, at no point have I felt the game put the orb I shot into the wrong spot. Any mistakes are on my part and not due to janky collision. The powerup system also works great, all the powerups are useful in some way, and the game makes sure not to give you any powerups that are totally useless in your situation (like a color-wipe for a color thats not actually in the level at all).

All in all a great experience :)

「マーブルポッパー」というジャンルを知ってますか？
マーブルポッパーというのは、いわゆる「カジュアルゲーム」の１ジャンルで、ビー玉みたいなのが連なって動いているところにビー玉を撃ち込んで、同じ色を３つ以上つなげれば消える（消え方によっては連鎖して消える）という、アクションパズルです。有名なところでは「ズーマ」シリーズや「ルクソール」シリーズなどがあります。

このSparkle 2は、そんなマーブルポッパーのなかでも頭一つ抜けた完成度を持つ屈指の良作です。
ビジュアルもサウンドも良質で、ゲームの難易度は最初は簡単、後半徐々に難しくなりますが理不尽なところまではいきません。クリアに失敗しても同じレベルからやり直しが可能です。カジュアルゲームらしく、３ボタンのマウスだけで遊べます。

もともとカジュアルゲームはBig Fish Gamesとかのカジュアルゲーム専用サイトで盛り上がっていたジャンルなので、Steamではあまり知られていないと思いますが、面白いゲームもたくさんあります。このSparkle 2はその「面白いもの」の１つであることは間違いないので、ぜひ一度試してみることをおすすめします。

Sparkle 1 was a crap Zuma clone, but this one is a GOOD Zuma clone. Select your fave powerups and enjoy the polished gameplay! I didn't bother playing through the game on Hard & Nightmare, opting to finish all the challenges and bonus stages instead, which are undoubtedly even harder.

Sparkle 2 is a puzzle game, where your goal is to find 5 keys hidden around a strange place and get your reward.

This game is really simple: you choose a level, you control a cannon, which shoot different colored balls and you shot this ball to a ball of train and matching 3 colors, meanhwhile you need to do this quick, because you cannot let these balls to reach the whole on the level. If you achive combo matching, you can get power ups which can destroy these balls or help you otherwise. Also, with every 5 level, you get some kind of bonus either active or passive ability. You win a map, you get access to the next one, and you will explore the whole map like this.

I like the idea, it's a really simple gameplay and at the beginning it's not real anything special, but later the game start to become really difficulty with more color and higher ball movement speed. The abilities and power ups helps you out, if you play well. The graphics is not bad for an indie game, but for 2015 you could say it's ugly, but it's all right for this game. What I liked the most, is the soundtrack, because it was fitting for the game and somewhat relaxed. The story teller's voice is also a good adition to the gameplay. Also, the game has higher difficulty levels if you beat the story mode, has survival and challange mode too, so you can have your time. I played through the story a little bit more than 4 hours.

The controls are simple, left click is shooting, right click is swap and that's it. Really simple.

What I missed, is the story from the game. I mean, I expected that it won't be a big thing, but it would have give more color to the game, now it just makes you thing, why this place where you played had so many weird places.

I played Sparkle 2 between my study sessions, and I had a blast. It's a fun little game, helps you to focus on certain task and holds quite a challange. I can definetly recommend the game, but for less than 8€... get it for 6 and you will have a good time.

i always used to play this along with Zuma with my grandpa, so i decided to pick this one up for myself. It is extremely addicting and i adore games like these.

Damn fine. I have STRONG nostalgia glasses for Zuma, this is better. Zuma's sound effects have more punch to them, that's about it. This has better visuals, music, fair levers, power up's, etc. Give it a go.

Its a fun game not really all that hard to play, I do wish that on normal level after you go through portal that the game would continue on with the adventure instead of ending and then you have to go to hard mode or replay the normal but other than that a great game. If you like match type games then you should like this one.

Fun, simple, match type of game. It's as casual as it gets. You can shoot gems to obtain special bonuses such as a helix fireball, meteor shower, and more to help destroy a long line of gems slowly making their way towards their final destination. If they reach their final destination the level is over. How long can you survive? The game is fun, though nothing too spectacular at all, but it plays well for what it is with some alternative ways to play such as survival.

I will say that in order to obtain all achievement the game overstayed its welcome. It's taken me many years of randomly coming back to play the game to finally achieve them all.

Нормальная игрушка классических шариков. Скоротать время или разгрузить голову и поиграть в удовольствие - самое то! На мой взгляд есть только один недостаток - шрифт русского текста в игре. Это просто жуть! Неужели нельзя было использовать шрифт хоть как-то подходящий к оригинальному шрифту игры? Благо, что это не влияет на игровой процесс. А в целом, игрушка приятная и не сложная. Для любителей погонять шарики, однозначно, рекомендую.
