Tolles kleines Flugspiel. Wunderschöne Landschaft, gutes Fluggefühl, einfache Steuerung. Die Quests sind relativ einfach gehalten, dennoch macht es Spaß zu Fliegen, zu sammeln usw.
Habe es voll in VR gespielt (über UEVR), hat hervorragend funktioniert und erhöht die Immersion nochmals.

Decent game. Controls are a little janky and takes some time to get used to. Also changing of keybindings are non-existent. The spyglasses and targets were a pain in the ass to track down as well. Collection race was a little challenging, but that's about it.

Well that's an adorable little game. Did I use JoyToKey to be possibly the first person to play it with VKB Gladiators? You bet! Wish there was some independent control options, but that wasn't the point of this adorable little adventure. Music was super relaxing, graphics were calming and cute. I'll definitely be back to just fly around! I only wish there was MORE of it!!! Completed all the main quests in just over an hour, and only tried one race.

A beautiful game where you fly around a Scottish isle in your seaplane. It has a few small quests, a few collectibles to seek out, and plenty of beautiful views. Great for a relaxing evening. All achievements can be finished in an hour or two

Flying game with some nice aesthetics and some minor technical flaws. Visuals resemble hand painted scenery of island that looks promising. Missions consist mostly of flying around and collecting stuff and returning to dock afterwards. Races are available later in the game. Controls are ok, but when you hit the water plane movement gets a bit clunky or just flip direction. Ambient and calm soundtrack. Overall not bad for quick peek altough gameplay is mediocre at best.

Such a chill and beautiful game. I flew around looking at everything after completing the game. Honestly, I would love to see more of this game. The quests are nice and simple. Flying controls are easy but also satisfying.

Beautiful stylized look and simple gameplay. This was a great 35-45ish minutes of things to do with as much time you want to just soak in the vibes and enjoy the ride.

Спробувати можна, але щодо продуктивності на Steam Deck - дивна ситуація, гра не виглядає видовищно і тим не менш не може в стабільні 60 кадрів, просідає частіше всього до 50 і все одно навантажує деку як ААА хіт на UE5, і це навіть не на високих налаштуваннях бо там взагалі все сумно, рекомендую ставити 10/12 TDP, обмежуватись до 45 кадрів та середню графіку (бо низькі це вже ультрамило)

While you're enjoying flying around the island, you get some collectibles and when you're done with that, I'd suggest to enjoy flying around the island some more.

После того, как я закончил историю и собрал несколько летающих значков, игра закончилась, меня поблагодарили за то, что я играл в эту игру, и выгнали, удалив весь мой прогресс. Теперь я должен воспроизвести историю, чтобы снова разблокировать расы. Или, может быть, разработчики могли бы сказать в конце истории, что "ваше путешествие завершено, теперь вы можете свободно путешествовать по миру", что-то в этом роде. SKYE is a relaxing experience. I enjoyed flying around the island, completing missions, and enjoying the aesthetic (painterly graphics + soundtrack).
It took me around an hour to complete, lovely little game.
Peaceful game.
A lovely little island with some quests as a guided tour, collectables to reward exploring every nook and cranny and a few races to hone your piloting skills through tight corners. Every part of the island is lovingly crafted, from the basalt columns to the windmills. I loved spending some time here. Also; sheep before cows!
Beautiful game, but I had a frustrating experience. As an achievement hunter, I was completing the story first so that I could focus on races later. After finishing the story and collecting some flying badges, the game ended, thanked me for playing this game and kicked me out, erased all my progress. Now I have to replay the story just to unlock races again. Or maybe the devs could say at the end of the story that "your journey has finished, you can travel to the world freely now" something like that. But instead, all of my progressions are gone just for finishing the game! It really made me upset and I think that this needs to be improved. 8/10.
It´s a fun and relaxing game, you can fly around (with weird controls no mouse), but it has a good atmosphere, I found almost all the colectibles while playing the misions, so it's fun free and relaxing.

Overall a very nice, albeit short, game. SKYE is a good, casual, choice for gamers who like the arcade flight genre. There is no super interesting plot but the story is engaging enough. The flight feels good and the atmosphere is pleasing and relaxing. A couple of the time trials can be a bit frustrating, particularly the water bits, but still a pretty solid game.

This game was one of my first to play on Steam (which would have been a few years ago now when it was released) but I still can’t help but return back to it! Game content-wise there isn’t a whole lot to do, but with the simple controls and absolutely wonderful view+soundtrack, I feel that is for the better.
The couple of time trials allow for yourself to get lightly competitive as you race against the clock, while other quests send you across the island and enjoying what scenery the game has in store!
Once again, just a lovely, cozy game. Thank you devs for producing this!

Taking a leisurely flight around an island while helping some of the residents was very tranquil and therapeutic. The background piano music made the experience feel like a dream.

This is a cozy arcade flight game, the controls are more star wars squadrons than ace combat. By that I mean pitch and yaw are on the left stick, with roll on the right, though throttle is on the triggers.
I liked the map, it had a ghibli-esque charm as did the soundtrack and characters, both in their art and personality.
The flight doesn't haven't any real weight, or momentum, which I would guess wasn't the focus of the game so much as being a team project with a simple concept.
The painterly graphics are a good choice for a small project like this, they help hide the low detail models, however I found the edge bleeding and pixelation on the cliffs to be a bit strong, I actually thought the game was being upscaled from a very low resolution first time in.
Also of note is that the settings don't seem to save after you exit, not really a problem for a single sitting game however I felt I should point it out.
I think this was a decent little game, took just shy of an hour for me to get through all the content and I enjoyed that hour.
I think a fuller experience like this would be something I'd purachse, though I'd like more in depth flight mechanics.

Fun cozy game
I want to like this game, but I do not. the controls are buggy, and the visuals lean towards lazy. But it has a pleasant feel to it that I dont want to give up on - just needs some extra effort to make it good.
Absolutely can recommend this game! The art style is amazing and makes everything look painted. The music is very chill and makes you relaxed. The airplane flying is fun. I was a bit confused by the inverse vertical controls on the plane at first but I got used to it in like 5 minutes. There may be a setting to change that but I didn't check that. I was able to 100% it in almost exactly an hour, so its short, but its free. If you are looking for something new to play I would definitely recommend giving this game a try!

Only took like 30 min to complete, but it's a really neat game and I see great potential with it. Unfortunately it looks like it wont be updated. Feels more like a proof of concept/demo of what this great chill game could be. If they did update it I could see adding money and plane upgrades, bigger map/more maps, and more quests/types of quests to do.
Unfortunate this is all it is, because id love to see this game to its full potential. Thumbs up because its free and was a nice 30 minutes well spent :)

Short, cozy, enjoyable aerial game with some collectibles and races neatly tossed alongside the main missions. Beautiful soundtrack, visual style and smooth controls. Beginner friendly and a quick game to complete in an hour or two. Definitely recommend playing this game if you're looking to take a break from other games or just want to sit back and relax and have a little fun, but not invest yourself heavily.
Não terminei porque não quero, mas de todos os jogos de estudantes dessa universidade que já testei esse deve ser o melhor, jogo de aviação relaxante e simples, onde você completa quest e caça colecionáveis, os controles são tranquilos e responsivos e pra quem gosta de voar e jogos relaxantes é uma boa pedida.
Posso até voltar a jogar no futuro, mas agora quero coisas menos relaxantes e mais desafiadores.

I didn't finish it because I don't want to, but of all the games for students at this university that I've tried, this must be the best, a relaxing and simple aviation game, where you complete quests and hunt for collectibles, the controls are smooth and responsive and for those who like flying and relaxing games, it's a good choice.
I might even play it again in the future, but right now I want things that are less relaxing and more challenging.

This was a really nice and relaxing little flying game. And it actually had the potential to be fantastic, but enden up as good. Mainly because youre not being able to use the mouse to navigate and the painting like graphics.
But that aside is it worth a playtrough? Absolutely, its very enjoyable and fun.

Es un "sky simulator" en el que tomas un hidroavión y sobrevuelas una isla y sus alrededores.
Es muy sencillo, relajante y visualmente precioso, parece como si estuviera pintado y la paleta de color es muy acertada para el estilo y mood del juego.. La música me ha recordado muchísimo a la banda sonora original del Studio Ghibli, no me extrañaría que se hayan inspirado en ellos para hacerlo.
Tiene dos "tipos de misiones": misiones de historia donde vas haciendo encargos y aprendiendo a manejar tu hidroavión, y el modo carreras donde puedes competir contigo mismo. El juego en sí se puede pasar en 1h si no te centras en conseguir el oro en las carreras y para pasar un ratillo está muy bien. Me ha encantado volar sobre la isla.

Anyone else remember that flying minigame that came with Wii Sports: Resort where you'd just fly around and explore the island? Well, if you liked that, this is more of it. There are some quests to do and a couple of surprisingly tricky races to complete, but the main draw is the charming art style and world design and the joy of flying through a peaceful sky. It's not a very big game--you can explore the whole island in a few minutes, and reach 100% completion in an hour or two if you're quick--but for something that's literally free, you couldn't ask for more.
Final review: 4/5 (Good) - It's about the journey, not the destination.

100%'d the game in less than an hour... and the game didn't crash (I won't speak for the plane, but I did try to take out a few carriers at Midway like a Zero on accident, but I won't get into Pacifics on the matter).
A free game with easy to understand flying mechanics, a pleasant atmosphere, relaxing ambiance, and an easy set of challenges. The race challenges provide a little extra challenge, but the true fun comes from flying around everywhere to collect all the spyglasses and shoot every target. This shows the full range of the map and nifty places for some close maneuvers.
SKYE is a student project from the Breda University of Applied Sciences. Did the students pass the course this year? Well, some of them might have.
This demo/game design project has the students writing a third person arcade flight shooter where you control a charming biplane, fly around, shoot some people, and have a few visual novel style popups annoy you. As with all student projects this is short in scope and doesn't compare well to a fully developed commercial video game, but on the other hand, it's free... I guess you get what you pay for sometimes.
It does work well enough but there's a slew of technical defects... educators must ensure they teach students how to make video games properly. Even if it's "just a student project", if they intend to launch on Steam they must make sure basic requirements are met... and here they aren't.
There's an ugly screen filter meant to make the game look "artistic"... The game would probably look okay without it, the models and assets the students designed looked okay, but they actually went out of their way to make it look worse. There's no way to turn this off.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. This is game breaking because the mouse sensitivity is set way too low for mouse control to work, and there's no way to fix it. This is not okay.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The game never really caught on with the millions of gamers on Steam, with a very low peak player count close to launch, and then just a handful of players launching this game every couple of days. This is undoubtedly caused by factors such as those raised in this review. It's always helpful with buying decisions to consider how popular and successful the product is, and unfortunately while this did accumulate a few participation trophy reviews, overall, people just aren't using it.
The game is completely free, as it's a non-professionally developed student project. It's difficult to say it's appropriate for colleges and schools to publish every bit of work their students produce (whether the students pass the course or not), because this is of questionable value for the most important people in the gaming industry - the gamers. Regardless in many ways, even if this is a student project, it's better than much of the pollution on Steam (asset flips and other shovelware/cash grabs). Unfortunately because this is a student project, and not a professionally developed game intended for gamers, and because of the defects outlined above, it's impossible to recommend this.

This game is such a cute take on a cozy flight simulator. It isn't too difficult to control and the achievements are doable. I really like the characters, and somehow even though you don't spend a lot of time with them you get to hear their unique stories. An easy play for anyone who needs a smile.
