Unsettling. Unseen horrors. You feel as though you truly found someone's phone and have to uncover all their dark secrets to find out what happened.
Simulacra is an amazing little rabbit hole of a game; a found‑phone thriller that feels intimate, invasive, and surprisingly reactive. Even though my first playthrough ended in the bad ending, with both Taylor and Anna dying, it didn’t sour the experience at all. If anything, it made me realize just how many branching paths and character‑shaping choices I’d only brushed past.
What stands out most is how much influence you actually have over the people you’re texting. The tone you take, the pressure you apply, the empathy you show (or don’t); it all ripples outward in ways that feel organic rather than scripted. That makes every conversation feel like a little puzzle of its own, and it’s easy to get pulled into the illusion that you’re really trying to save someone on the other end of the screen.
There’s also a surprising amount of content tucked into the phone that I completely missed on my first run. I was so worried about the battery dying that I missed returning to the emails and missed the final vlog. That tension is part of the charm, though; the sense that you’re racing against something truly evil on the other side of the screen.
The result is a game with genuine replayability. Multiple endings, branching character arcs, and hidden threads make it worth diving back in, especially once you know the stakes and can explore the phone more confidently.
If you like narrative mysteries with a voyeuristic twist and choices that actually matter, Simulacra is absolutely worth your time; even if your first ending is a tragic one.

One of the best horror experiences I’ve ever had.
I would genuinely recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the horror genre. It does give a good scare. It felt very easy to get immersed into the world of Simulacra and sometimes playing had me asking more questions about it's story and characters. Very good horror game.

Randomly stumbled upon this game , pretty fun , multiple endings , you can either doubt or trust people to proceed and get to the truth of finding this girl who got kidnapped , overall a high 8/10 , definitely gonna play the second game also!

As a kid in the past, I thought "hey, this game was decently scary. It may even be the talk of everything during 2017 or so" and I *was* right,

Aside from them having me off their Discord server (still.) I realize the jumpscares in this game are tacky
They rely on the player being unprepared, resulting in them coming out in a very cheap manner. There is audio cues which play randomly which are cheap, unknowing of when they will show up, and VERY unneeded to the plot.
The plot is another can of worms which I can't even begin to understand so far. "Phone shows up at your doorstep" alright. Who sent it? Do we get that explained? Don't even get me started on how you're pictured as the bad guy for the good ending when you know DAMN well that lying and deceiving is the ONLY way to get it.
"Replay the game to get all endings and easter eggs" Or. Hear me out.

挺有意思的游戏！一开始不知道有突脸被吓到了，习惯了就还好，全局下来没有特别吓人的地方，甚至还挺好笑的hhhhh，主要是这两男的讲话好搞笑，玩的时候一边吐槽一边笑，里面的角色塑造挺好的，女角色很好，而且果然闺闺是同hhhh，我的直觉好准我不行了，直接顺势攻略。游戏这种查手机回消息的游戏方式还挺好玩的，像看了一部有互动性的电影。就是打出be结局了，害。

+Главный плюс - простой, но иммерсивный геймплей, все действия которые мы совершаем(чекаем смс, почту, соцсети, переписываемся) очень похожи на действия ИРЛ(с игровыми условностями конечно).
+Есть вариативность в прохождение, несколько концовок.
+-В отличие от других подобных проектов здесь используются фото и видео реальных "актеров" играющих, к сожалению, на уровне паршивого кружка самодеятельности. Да и сами персонажи которых они отыгрывают плоские и плохо раскрыты.
+-Сюжет не самый плохой, но много хождения по кругу, далеко не всегда логичное поведение персонажей, особенно "наше" - порой ни одна из доступных реплик или действий совсем не подходят. Буквально через пару дней после прохождения половину уже не помнишь.
-Игра неудачно пытается нагнать саспенса, с похожей тематикой(цифровые сучности) отечественная визуальная новелла Dissolving и то куда лучше атмосферу создавала.
-Слишком простая(для кого-то плюс), поэтому удовольствия от угадывания хитрого пароля не получишь.

This game was so boring, wtf.
The acting was ass, the plottwist not really twisted or interesting, the "jumpscares" only loud and cheap and then not even giving options to be able to adjust ANY AUDIO?!?!
Despite having multiple endings, I won't play this again, lol.
Thankfully I bought it in a sale, though 5€ aren't that expensive either.
Hopefully the two sequals will be better.
a very good mystery horror that has a very unexpected twist ending. i love that what you says has an effect on the endings, and im a big fan of the way this game can be funny but also manages to be genuinely unnerving when it wants to be.
So a girl named Anna goes missing and you find her phone. In order to find out what happened to her you have to search her phone and team up with people from her life who also want to find her. A lot of detective work. Choices in this game do matter and there are several different endings. I didn't get the ending I was hoping for because it kind of gives you an unfair choice at the end that you have to find a way around if choose wisely, but I like the game enough to go back and try to get the other endings. Definitely recommend playing.
Great game! I saw a spanish youtuber play it a long time ago and I had to play it. As of now, I have my own bank account and decided to buy it. It transported me back to when he played it and it felt amazing. Great job!

This game is not what it seems at the start. Certainly, not a horror game on the surface, but something more sinister is happening. This is a fantastic take of found footage horror genre. I wouldn't say its game per se, but more of an interactive story. Although an interactive story with 5 different endings seems like a lot, you can really get lost and lose track of time
[spoiler] The last conversation with "Anna" or Simulacra drags on, I thought being in Begin+ would make it go fast but it simply does not. [/spoiler] Majority of the endings are this way, so you will have to sit through it multiple times. It just gets annoying because its the same dialogue just different outcomes.
For the .99 cents I paid for it, I think its worth it and recommend it.
All I'm going to say is that this game is much more than it lets on at first.

A found footage game, I was interested until I had a hardware issue irl with my monitor and I thought it was the game. When I quit out it didn't save my progress. So I'm not going to gather those facts again. Interesting game and I was getting pretty far without talking to the abusive boyfriend but all in all I'll not be returning to it. $5 is the right price.

挺新颖的题材的，通过抽丝剥茧找出人物的各种信息，有点像全网公敌，但是缺点是指向性感觉还是不太明显，很多信息纯靠我自己玩我是真找不到（前期手机重置突然跳出来吓我一跳，找信息急死我了，猫的全名也不知道，还有os系统汉化之后打字让我打英文我都不知道怎么打），还有鬼图跳脸等等还是被吓了一跳。内容还是挺丰富的，可拓展搜索的点挺多（有很多切入方向，但感觉还是不太自由）。现实风格的人物视频＋语音给人身临其境的体验感，以及恐怖氛围的不安感，还是挺刺激的。

Sama fabuła jest dla mnie też zbyt zagmatwana, szczególnie pod koniec, przez co zagadka, która przez 3/4 wydawała mi się fascynująca, okazuje się rozczarowaniem. Mam mieszane uczucia. Na pewno mogłoby być to o wiele lepsze, ale jest to coś ciekawego i wciągającego więc polecam.

Gra w której znajdujemy telefon kobiety która zaginęła (?) i używając apek zainstalowanych na telefonie (odpowiednik tindera, whatsappa, różne strony internetowe, galeria telefonu) staramy się rozwikłać tajemnice jej zniknięcia. Nie spodziewałem się, ale niesamowicie immersyjna zabawa a do tego zupełnie coś innego w produkcji w które zazwyczaj gram.

The "lost phone" genre is very niche and this game was very immersive and interesting in the background of all the characters, which you get to know little by little using the chat messages, images and mails.
The game mechanics in "restoring lost data" was not too much or too little, just the right amount before getting too repetetive. The riddles were pretty simple, but diverse.
One point I dislike is that in order to try different endings you need to start the game from the beginning, as there are no save points except for the last one after achieving one ending.

The game is fine but it's just not great, I finished my 1st playthrough expecting way more, one key point is that the exploration of the phone is far too shallow as well (spoilers for the near end of the game) [spoiler] in the final conversation with "anna" the game feels remarkably slow, I personally feel like the conversation should've been more engaging or dragged on less. It was far too long. [/spoiler] I'm also upset Murv wasn't a dating option and there wasn't in-depth conversation options with some of the Spark characters.
Still though for £3 4 endings and like 4-6 hours of playtime is super worth it, even more so on-sale. Definitely recommend.

It was an alright time killer. I was going to 100% it, I have 5 achievements left after 3 playthroughs, with zero screw up I have a minimum of 2 play throughs left. So it was becoming repetitively boring. It's definitely worth a couple of playthroughs though.
Great take on found footage horror. There's not a lot of "game" to be played here, as much as it is an interactive story, however it's well written and easy to get drawn into.
Basically, you find a phone, discover the owner is missing, and things get very weird while trying to track them down. The story is a bit heavily railroaded, but there are multiple endings and the responses you choose while playing affect your outcome.
A few good jump scares, eerie narrative, and satisfying to investigate. The acting leaves room for improvement, but it is what it is.
As a huge fan of the found footage genre, I absolutely recommend giving this one a chance.
