Обзор Showdown Bandit — когда ты не ковбой, а марионетка в кукольном кошмаре
Прошёл Showdown Bandit и теперь точно знаю: быть игрушечным бандитом в заброшенном кукольном театре — это как попасть в детский сон, который вдруг стал хоррором. Разберу, что было атмосферно, а что заставило сказать: «Ну и ну, разработчики, что это было?»
Что зацепило (и заставило вздрогнуть в темноте):
Атмосфера кукольного безумия. Ты — марионетка‑ковбой в декорациях закрытого детского шоу. Полуразрушенные сцены, брошенные куклы, скрипящие верёвки… Выглядит так, будто «Бенди» решил сыграть в вестерн. Жутковато и стильно!
Звуковое сопровождение. Тишина, шорохи, внезапные звуки — всё это держит в напряжении. Иногда замираешь на полминуты, прислушиваясь: «Это враг или просто ветер?»
Визуальный стиль. Пиксельная графика с мрачным оттенком — как старая кассета с детским шоу, которую кто‑то проклял. Детали проработаны: видно пыль на полу, трещины на куклах, тусклый свет фонарей.
Стелс‑элементы. Нужно прятаться от патрульных врагов: если поймают и ударят 5 раз — конец. Так что ползаешь по углам и молишься, чтобы враг не заметил твой нос.
Необычные механики. Стрелять в колокола, чтобы открыть двери, искать ключи, таскать деньги (зачем — загадка), сохраняться у банкира… Всё это создаёт странный, но увлекательный ритм.
Что заставило почесать затылок (и пару раз выругаться):
Медленная ходьба. Твой персонаж двигается так, будто на ногах гири. В хорроре, где нужно убегать, это как пытаться сбежать от зомби в тапочках. Хочется крикнуть: «Да беги же ты!»
Загадка с дверями в шахтах. Нужно угадать последовательность из 6 цифр — и она генерируется случайно для каждого игрока. Без гайдов никак: 3 цифры угадал, ошибся на 4‑й — начинай сначала. После 10‑й попытки хочется сжечь эти двери виртуальным фаерболом.
Отсутствие русского языка. Диалоги на английском, и хотя лексика простая, иногда теряешься в нюансах сюжета. Особенно когда тебе шепчут что‑то зловещее, а ты не до конца понял, что именно.
Короткость игры. Проходится за час‑полтора, если знаешь, куда идти. Ощущение, будто посмотрел жутковатый мини‑сериал — понравилось, но хотелось бы больше эпизодов.
Повторяемость. После первого прохождения мотивация возвращаться низкая: загадки те же, враги те же. Разве что ради секретов и скинов — но их маловато.
Итого: Showdown Bandit — это игра для тех, кто:
любит мрачные истории про заброшенные шоу и марионеток;
ценит атмосферу выше экшена;
готов мириться с медленным темпом ради жутких моментов и стильной картинки;
не боится случайных загадок, от которых закипает мозг.
Оценка: 7 из 10 — минус балл за медлительность и головоломку с дверями, ещё полбалла за короткую продолжительность. Но если вы фанат Bendy and the Ink Machine или просто любите странные хорроры с кукольной эстетикой — Showdown Bandit подарит вам час‑другой напряжённого, жутковатого веселья!

Очень жаль эту игру. У неё реально был стиль, лицо и своя атмосфера. Заброшенные декорации старого кукольного шоу, жуткие марионетки, странные персонажи, хороший звук, приятный визуал, всё это работает как надо. Это не самый страшный хоррор на свете, но мир тут цепляет сразу, и по нему действительно интересно идти дальше.
Геймплей местами медленный и неидеальный, но мне всё равно понравилось. Тут больше про настроение, чем про экшен. Видно, что у игры был потенциал на что-то большее, но её слишком рано бросили. Осталась короткая, местами кривая, но очень запоминающаяся штука, которую сейчас даже немного жалко.
И да, если вдруг захотите выбить все достижения, знайте заранее: одно достижение багованное. Для него нужно ставить патч из руководства по игре. Но лучше делать это уже после первого прохождения, чтобы сначала пройти всё нормально и без лишней возни.

* The most difficult achievement is the "comeplete the game without dying" wich either has to be done first (new game clears your unlocks) or last (when you don't care about any unlocks). Bad achievement design, no wonder they went bankrupt.
* As I said above, the game goes to a black screen without jcfarsight's patch. And since the game was canceled nobody works on fixing this.
* Why am I writing this even tho the game's not available anymore? Cause some people check the reviews if they have it in their library for hints or to know if the achievements are safe to start...

Almost certain I didn't pay for this and boy howdy was that the right price. Somewhat of a shame b/c it looks pretty great and the atmosphere and characters were solid. But the gameplay... was rubbish. You walk too darn slow, you need to 'be stealthy' but there's basically zero way to actually do that, you can only 'fight back' on the very rare spots that need activated first - why?
Worst part was the freaking spider section, since they spawned in randomly and blocked your path.
Just a shame, could've been alright if it was longer, and the gameplay aspects were drastically improved.

O jogo é tedioso, muito fácil, porém a conquista do minigame não vem. Quando você acerta os 84 alvos no minigame, o jogo trava e você tem que forçar o fechamento. E mesmo que você acerte os 84 alvos durante a história, a conquista não aparece mesmo que você finalize a história e feche o jogo. Já as outras 7 conquistas só aparecem depois de fechar o jogo. Os desenvolvedores estão cientes do bug no minigame e não querem arrumar. Eu já procurei alvos escondidos. das 7 horas que joguei o jogo, fiquei pelo menos umas 5 só para conseguir essa conquista. Ainda fiz live do jogo e reassisti para ter certeza que acertei todos os alvos. Chega a ser frustrante uma coisa dessas. 8 conquistas e se não querem arrumar o bug, então que tirem a conquista do minigame.

Игра неплохая, – звук, музыка и атмосфера на высоте. Но игра довольно короткая, и ты спустя пару минут игры, не ощущаешь опасности от противников, и быстро пробегаешь их.
Но самое раздражающее – это разгадка кода с дверьми. Головоломка отбирает довольно много времени на разгадку кода, так персонаж, назло, ещё и медленно передвигается, из-за чего геймплей искусственно удлиняется. Если в обычном геймплее скорость передвижения не напрягает, то в этом моменте она сильно раздражает.
Ну обычный геймплей в игре тоже хромает.
Если закрыть глаза на двери – 5/10
но все ровно поставлю положительный отзыв, ведь игра в плане задумки мне понравилась

Idea and atmosphere are great but everything else falls short. Most exhausting is the walking speed which most people are also complaining. With proper speed this would be max 30 min game.

Claimed the game when they made it free for everyone, as it was poorly received by the anticipating fans. The plot is not bad, but its overshadowed by its horror factor, which is underwhelming at best. Few jumpscares here and there, if you can even call them that. The transition between first-person view to top view is also immersion breaking. The most prominent factor to its fall? The pacing. The horrible pacing. Let's just say, walking across a football field at the speed of a turtle does not sound that fun if you ask me. Possibly exaggerated, but that's how I felt. Funnily enough, the enemies walk the same pace as you. Imagine that. Most fun part? Shooting. Though its still limited by its slow reloading time and the inability to move in those sections, its fun. That is all.

Эту игру я взял на халяву и забыл про неё почти на 6 лет, но неожиданно вспомнил эту игру и выяснить чё и как? Вот знаете, игра настолько плохая, что даже сами разработчики с этим согласны. У игры прикольный визуальный стиль, интересная графика, хорошая озвучка, но сюка геймплей полный кал потому, что весь геймплей это нажимай на левую кнопку мышки, чтобы идти или взаимодействовать с предметом. Вот только беда в том, что персонаж делает очень медленно. Игра называет себя хоррором, но честно скажу мне ни капли не было страшно. Я эту игру не успел пройти и полчаса, ибо я её выключил от скуки.

ПЛЮСЫ
Озвучка: ооооо да, озвучка в бандите пробирает до косточек, во время прохождения с самой первой реплики, тебе хочется слышать ещё. В бандите идеально подобранные голоса, и сами по себе они звучат невероятно круто и атмосферно.
+ Графика/атмосфера: На удивление графика бандита выглядит довольно таки круто, даже на минимальных, а эффекты на максимальных настройках возле локаций придают игре атмосферность.
Здесь уже больше вкусовщина, а именно однокнопочное управление. Кому-то нравится оно, кому-то нет. Решайте здесь сами.
МИНУСЫ
И вот тут уже не так всё гладко
- Экшен: Если вы ждали динамических побегушек от монстров, или боевую систему как в трейлере, ну или хотя бы стрельбы то. Я вас расстрою. Из-за управления ЛКМ, динамики в игре нет, ты просто нажимаешь к двери, и всё. Перестрелок тоже не завезли, ты не можешь стрелять в любой момент, нужно специально находить платформы, нажимать на рычах в соседних комнатах, и после этого уже можно на этих платформах стрелять.
- Хоррор: Хоть я сам из пугливых, и до сих пор боюсь играть во фнаф, но за всё прохождение бандит не смог меня даже немного припугнуть. Я бы не придирался к этому, если бы это не было акцента. И к слову, бенди также не был прямо хоррором, но при этом он справлялся со своей задачей лучше (лично моё мнение)
- ИИ: Ну, что тут сказать, в игре есть персонаж с когтями, который должен за нашей тушкой гонятся, но ближе к середине он у меня начал ходить по одному тому же маршруту, и не замечая меня впритык. И к слову, враги постоянно возрождаются, если ты выходишь из комнаты.
- Баги: Баги есть во всех играх, нов бандите они более критичны. Можно конечно их перечислять, но я просто скажу, что их много.
- Не сбывшиеся моменты: многое, что было в трейлере, нет в самой игре
- Сейвы: Сохранения в игре работают так, ты должен идти к банкиру, и тот уже сохраняет тебе всё, НО. Игра самостоятельно не сохранит то, что вы сделали после последнего сейва. К примеру: вы нашли новый облик и нашли пару денег, вы вышли из игры. А игра не сохранила всё, что из этого вы сделали. С одной стороны, это конечно не минус, но это очень бесит ибо сейвы находятся в достаточном расстоянии друг от друга, и в связи с медлительностью бандита, это превращается в ад.
- Локации: После шахт идёт локация Мисс Гробовщицы, и она топовая, но через чур быстро заканчивается.
Сюжет, ну, что сказать. Хочется без спойлеров. Но скажем так, мы идём к сцене, а финал. Он выглядит как законченная история и задаёт через чур много вопросов, на которые разработчики наврядле смогу дать ответ.
Итог
Вы можете спросить "Почему + меньше чем -, но всё равно стоит похвально?". Я скажу так. Хоть и - очень много, но я искренне надеюсь, что разработчики смогут их превратить в дальнейшем в +. Ну а если вы хотели узнать "стоит ли брать Бандита?"
Я отвечу так. Решайте сами, я сказал о + и - игры, а вывод делайте сами, если вы хотите всё таки опробовать игру - покупайте. Считаете, что не хотите - не покупайте, или ждите новых глав.

Showdown Bandit разочаровывает на нескольких уровнях. Во-первых, скучный геймплей не предлагает ничего нового или интересного. Долгие моменты бездействия и однообразные задания быстро утомляют, а отсутствие разнообразия делает игру монотонной.
Во-вторых, графика, хоть и стильная, ограничивает восприятие. Существуют моменты, когда элементы окружения неинтуитивно читаются, что вносит свою лепту в раздражение при выполнении заданий. Подобные недоработки создают ненужную путаницу.
Кроме того, искусственный интеллект врагов оставляет желать лучшего. Их предсказуемое поведение и недостаточная сложность делают сражения однообразными и невыразительными. Вместо того, чтобы дарить игроку вызов, в игре слишком много моментов, когда чувство опасности отсутствует полностью.
Наконец, сюжет. Идеи, заложенные в него, могли бы быть интересными, но их реализация оказывается невнятной и неубедительной. Потеря цели и мотивации в процессе игры превращает проделанную работу в пустую трату времени.
Showdown Bandit, увы, не оправдывает ожиданий и вызывает лишь разочарование.

It's a shame this game's sequel episodes were cancelled. I had a fantastic time with it. The art direction is stellar and the mood is right. The only negative I can say is that the walking speed can seem a tad bit slow at times and it seems odd that Bandit can only shoot in designated areas. Otherwise, this is a great game.
интересный геймплей, играли всем аулом, всем понравилось, но случилась маленькая неожиданность, во время игры у моей собаки жучки порвалась жопа, и из её пердака началось извержение, в порыве которого вся комната и все мои друзья были полностью в поносе, я пытался исправить ситуацию и взяв жучку как автомат, направив её жопу в окно, весь понос полетел туда, но с каждой минутой напор дерьма нарастал, и примерно через час я услышал крик, а после крика и прошедших 10 минут я почуствовал своей ушной мембраной что, кто то стучится мне в дверь, я попросил друга посмотреть кто там, это не могли быть родители потому что я их похоронил несколько часов назад. Друг посмотрев кто там, забежал в комнату с улыбкой на лице подскользнулся и упав в лужу говна, через смех смог сказать что там полностью обдристанная бабка. Мы с друзьями придумали план, один друг стоявший у двери, резко её открыл, и я направил очко жучки в эту злоебучею бабку. Бабку сдуло в ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, и скорее всего убило, Потому что треск стены в подъезде и отдаляющийся крик говорил многое. Я уже не знал что делать с этой псиной, потому что она серит серит. Я случайно отпустил её, она начала летать по дому и разъебав всё в хуяярище улетела в стратосферу
Поговорим (внезапно) о эмо 7й волне (как воды на киселе) т.к. что за волна была у этих парней начиная с 2014г. непонятно
Скорее всего некоторые из вас даже слышали о такой группе, которую чтоб найти вк, надо было хорошо постараться, ведь название не так просто ввести, не то что запомнить как оно правильно пишется )

По сегодняшний день эти ребята прошли путь от треков звучащих подростковым голосом таких как например песня "Нами", а так же пост-хк, с электроникой в духе I See Stars, как в Abductione (UFO), так и до вполне понятных каждому, кто прошел 2007й, треков "Полосы", "Взрывом сквозь вечность"
Чего стоит только трек "Я совру" который почему-то.... безумно отдаёт Аврил Лавин 😋 Смешивая разные стили, получился аутентичный звук, хоть и местами грязноватый, но искренний и узнаваемый стиль

Showdown Bandit is a game in which we play the role of a puppet, and our goal is not predetermined. In fact, throughout the game we follow a path in front of us passing more rooms and enemies.
The idea of the game itself is not bad, but the execution of the game is much worse. Let's start with the fact that the game is a simulator for passing through rooms. In this game, we literally do nothing else but go through successive rooms and look for keys, as a rule, thanks to which we will go further. In some rooms there are enemies that we can bypass or annihilate with a gun. They are rather not scary (the game is supposedly a horror), but they fit into the atmosphere of the game. Our character moves on strings, which we can lose if we get hit by an opponent, but with this you have to try hard, because the opponents are not the smartest ones.
The controls are probably the worst part of this game. We move with the mouse by simply marking where our character should go. And maybe there would be nothing wrong with that, but our character can sometimes get lost and go in the opposite direction. But that's not the worst part. The worst thing is that our character is terribly slow, so if you want to go back to the beginning of the game then get ready for a long trip.
Graphically and audibly it's really good and the game makes a really good first impression. The rooms aren't somehow very different from each other, but looking at the fact that we're on a stage there's not much to expect either. Everything is really nicely done.
On top of that, the game has costumes that we can dress up our character in. Of course, we get them for completing various side quests or for collecting notes.

I would really like to recommend this title, because it definitely had potential, but the pace of gameplay is so slow that even the nice visuals do not compensate for this flaw in the game. At this point it's no longer possible to buy this game in the store anyway, but I would advise against buying keys to play this game.

Boring!
This is an incredibly wearisome game. It's labelled as a horror, but there's nothing spooky. Even the jumpscare videos that play once you die are goofy.
I could forgive it being off the spot, but the rest of the game is longsome, too. You walk at the speed of a turtle, your foes walk even slower (albeit with a little difference, so you'll be running away from them in the nick of time).
The levels are just plainly boring, these are just corridors with guards in the amount from 1 to 3. Most of the time, you'll be going in stealth or running away from them, but not shooting, even though your character has a gun on him. That's because the developers placed a few places where you can actually shoot the bad guys, but these are useless for that, as you can't move while shooting. Additionally, there's a delay as you stand in the place for shooting.
After playing about ⅓ of the game it turned into a maze, with the same dull level design that now keeps you in fear of going into the wrong door and having to go around in circles.
The passcode room is where the things got worse. I was thinking of the game as of a so-so title up til I failed about 20 times at guessing the password. The level consists of 6 doors that are marked with numbers, and the code can't be found anywhere in the game & it is absolutely random. You hear me right – there's no way to guess the code, and it's generated randomly (thanks God not every time you fail), so there's no complete walkthrough for it. It took me, I guess 25 minutes, to pass there. Mostly because I had to choose doors properly, with the current progress being reset every time I mistake, and the character speed being awfully SLOW!
As you play this game, you'll be forced to play the same levels backwards, with the already killed enemies walking around you again. Yet your traps (at about ⅔ of the game you'll get an ability to place traps) won't refill by themselves. Yet you'd need to find new traps to place. And once an enemy kills you, you'd have to replay the game from a checkpoint, which is usually located several rooms away from the place you died at. You'll need to walk your way at the same turtle speed again.
All these are just ways to make the gameplay longer than it actually is. And I'm talking like ×3 longer. This game acts as a soporific, and I remind you, it's a horror game. With this, Showdown Bandit gets my honest rating of a 4 out of 10. Thanks for reading.
Pros: genuinely interesting world. Leaves you wanting to see what happens next. True psychological terror. Some really fun gameplay mechanics. Effectively disempowering survival horror. Short.
Cons: the world is underutilised. Not only will we never see what happens next, the reason we care so much about it is because this does not feel like a full product, not even considering that it's only one episode and more were planned. It rarely reaches the peak of terror. The fun gameplay mechanics make up very little of the game for no real good reason and most of this is clicking on a thing and then waiting for the Bandit to slowly walk over there and interact. The disempowering elements and up being annoying more than scary. Too short.
Five out of 10. Not recommended

Случайно заметил эту игру и решил попробовать поиграть в неё. По скриншотам выглядело интересно.
В отзывах не понимал людей, которые пишут, что ждали какой-то стремительный и динамичный геймплей. У нас тут хоррор и поэтому персонажу нет смысла спешить, подумал я. Сначала мы без спешки ходим по разным комнатам, таскаем зачем-то деньги. Далее появляются патрульные враги, если 5 раз ударят, то будет смерть. Сохраняться надо вручную у банкира. И мне было в целом интересно, порой были хоррор моменты с резкими событиями после долгой тишины. Ходил себе и искал ключи, стрелял в колокола для открытия дверей. А потом я попал в шахты. И тут я закончился. Там 6 дверей и надо зайти в 6 раз по правильной последовательности. Беда только в том, что код случайный для каждого. Гайдов нет, ведь генерация случайная для каждого. Так ещё и цифры могут повторяться. И вот я угадал 3 цифры и нарвался на очередную ошибку в последовательности. Мне жалко тратить своё время на такие дебильные загадки. Сначала я смирился с медленной ходьбой персонажа, но в секции с этими дверями терпеть это надоело.
Внешне игра прикольная. Атмосферно.
Звуковое сопровождение тоже хорошее, как и качество озвучки персонажей.
Не знаю, какой тут сюжет. Мы будто находимся в большом марионеточном домике. Управляем, собственно, марионеткой-бандитом. Перевода на русский нет, но сам английский на вид не очень трудный.
Я бы лучше прошёл эту игру на ютубе на скорости 2х. А так, дропаю из-за идиотской загадки с дверями.

- отличная озвучка
Минусы:
- невероятно медленная ходьба персонажа
- загадка с дверями убивает интерес к прохождению

До места с большой марионеткой я еще хотел играть, хотя в игре вообще нету ничего. В игре нету графики или интересного стиля, очень медленная и скучная ходьба, хоррор отсутсвует, ачивки не выдаёт, хотя костюмы за их выполнение даёт, враги бесячие и ломаются об систему передвижения, нету внятного сюжета если он вообще есть.

While this game is dead now and episode one was not that much of a success, I'd love to actually see it make a comeback. This game has the potential to be good.

Showdown Bandit had all the makings of a good game, it's a shame that the developers abandoned it. All it needed was a little more love. The setting is interesting and the atmosphere is beautifully spooky. The graphics, the sound design, and voice acting are all very well done. Unfortunately, since the game was never finished, it plays more like a demo and there is no real purpose to playing since there is nothing to unlock with the collectible cash and no story to reveal.

Late to the reviews, but here's what I gotta say.
I adore the concept behind this game, but it's never gonna see the light of day again or be completed (though I'd never mind seeing more for this game). The game play is a bit weird, you can only shoot when you're standing on certain markings. Sometimes it's very hard telling where bells are to shoot. You get one shot that can be reloaded thanks to the ammo being a ball on a string. It's hard timing when to shoot, but it could just be a me thing. There is an enemy who will spawn that you just gotta run from until it stops chasing you, it will kill you though it's slow. Just remember the dead ends and you'll be fine. You do have to click on the ground to move your character, they are slow and sometimes it's annoying moving like that. There is a baby thing, that will chase you and mow you down. It is hard avoiding that thing and will take you a few times. If not more.
I have yet to get the last two achievements... I do not think the mine cart achievement is do able without a community made patch. The other is just a bit hard maybe undo able, it's been a while since I last tried.
The game was left off with a promised second episode being announced but never releasing. If there is any content for that update, it could be considered lost media. Maybe one day it will see the light of day, but I doubt it. They never made an announcement before taking the game off steam.
I forgot how much the game costed at this point, but I doubt it was past ten.
Lastly, I recommend this lost game. If you get the chance to try it, it's worth it. The game isn't really scary though, just frustrating at times.
