este juego estuvo residualmente en mi memoria por años, en su tiempo lo jugue en ps3 y me encanto, luego me olvide el nombre de ese juego que me dejo maravillado de niño y de repente llego a mi en estas ofertas de primavera es un gran juego un poco corto si solo juegas la campaña de un solo jugador pero si tienes a alguien para jugar cooperativo extiende mas el juego, las unicas cosas malas que tiene el juego algun que otro bug con el ataque en salto de la motosierra y la censura comparado con el de ps3 el juego omite varias escenas crudas como la muerte de el carnicero, o la mencion de lo que hizo el carnicero con la esposa de el prota antes de matarla y muchas escenas, dialogos y animaciones que estan ausentes en la version de pc aunque igual el juego sigue siendo muy bueno

TLDR: As long as you don't mind loads of blood and slightly repetitive gameplay, Shank is a fun beat-'em-up that is short but entertaining.
Klei Entertainment might be better known for their crafting/survival game Don't Starve, but they have other games under their belts as well. Shank is straight-forward but fun beat-'em'-up with a story that combines every 80s action/revenge film with a hefty dose of Quentin Tarantino thrown in. It's a lot of fun, easy to pick up and, for masochists, a hardcore mode. The game is super violent, so those with weak constitutions (or families) need not apply - otherwise, this was a fun trip.
Presentation: The game is presented in side-scrolling, 2-D action - and almost looks like a graphic novel come-to-life. It's very vibrant, with some sections set in shadows and others that pop with color. The game features fully animated cut-scenes that flesh out the story of love, betrayal and revenge. The sound effects help punch up the grind-house feel, as does the voice talents - no big names, but they all sell their respective characters. The music is likewise solid if unremarkable. For a simple beat-em-up, it really does a good job of setting itself apart from the masses.
Story: Shades of Kill Bill here - our main character, Shank, is part of an elite mercenary group - but he makes the mistake of choosing love over this "family". When his mentor learns of this love, he decides the best course of action is to send his colleagues (all killers, of course) to kill them both. Too bad they can't quite seal the deal on Shank, as he survives and vows revenge. The game follows his course at tracking down all the people who betrayed him and systematically taking them down - leading to the biggest showdown with the big boss, Cesar. It very much reminded me of Kill Bill, along with pretty much every 80s revenge movie ever made (but with better quality). So what if it shamelessly copies other media - it worked for me.
Gameplay: A standard beat-'em-up with some new mechanics. Shank is equipped with three different attacks, standard melee, heavy melee and guns. As the game progresses, he unlocks different weapons for these attacks - each with their strengths and weaknesses. As an example, the starting pistols are weaker, but hold a decent amount of bullets. You unlock the shotgun - strong but with limited ammo and later, a machine gun - great at crowd control but weak overall. In order to take down most enemies (or groups of enemies) it requires you to switch between weapons and attacks.
Enemies come in a few different types - melee, ranged, heavies - and sometimes dogs. Some enemies throw grenades, some heavies have grenade launchers or rockets. Later levels throw out waves of enemies that can get hairy. Luckily the game provides decent save points (in normal mode, anyway). Each level also has at least one boss and some have a mid-level boss as well. Usually boss enemies have some gimmick where you have to stun them before dealing out the real damage (most other attacks shave off a sliver, nothing else).
The level design is well done - it's not just boring, straight-forward runs - there is plenty of jumping and swinging and it keeps things interesting, though there are a few jumps that the timing is a bit too much - one especially with an enemy on the edge that had me raging for a bit. In normal mode it's not that bad but I pity the person who plays it in hardcore mode where there are no save points.
Replayability: As I said - the most replay you'll have is for people who like killing a lot and who like punishment. I didn't attempt to play the no-save, harder mode. There were just too many times that I barely missed a jump or go killed by an enemy that I would enjoy that mode.

Shank is a slick, stylish 2D brawler that scratches that classic beat-em-up itch — the combat feels fluid and satisfying once you start chaining melee weapons, guns, and grapples together, and the comic book art style gives the whole thing a gritty, cinematic flair reminiscent of Desperado or Kill Bill. The story is thin but serviceable, basically just a revenge backdrop to justify the non-stop carnage, and the animated cutscenes are a treat — just make sure to switch to the 'classic' beta in properties before you start, or you'll be missing key scenes. The game is genuinely short, clocking in around 2-3 hours on normal, and the combat can get repetitive since a handful of moves tend to dominate, but it never overstays its welcome. Hard mode is brutal in a cheap rather than satisfying way, with no mid-level checkpoints and some frustrating instant-death moments, so I'd stick to normal for a first playthrough. If you catch it on sale and enjoy old-school arcade brawlers, it's absolutely worth your time.

É Bater em Geral e Molestar os Bosses né, o Shank simplesmente matando 2 Hulks no Jogo é bizarro, eu jogava esse jogo bastante no Xbox 360 (Desbloquaeado óbvio) quando eu era menor, mas eu só ficava no primeiro boss por algum motivo, não é nem por ser ruim, é que eu realmente só não jogava além disso por algum motivo, mas é um jogo bom se você gosta desse tipo de jogo de porradaria bater em geral com câmera lateral tamo rimano tamo rimano.
Comprei pela Nostalgia e promoção mesmo porque o jogo é BEEEEM Nichado.
A parte da muié avantajada deveria aparecer no singleplayer também né, goré ter que ter amigo pra ver essa parte lubidinosa e 🔥🔥🔥

Completely broken product of its time. Played it on Xbox 360 and it was good back then, but now we have 1-5 man dev teams that are cranking out much more superior games than this. It’s just not the same.
Shank can’t block, dodge, or parry but his enemies sure can. Said enemies are also all damage sponges and the only reliable method is spamming pistols, lest you spend 5 minutes cutting away at basic enemies with shanks made from safety scissors. Combos need to be committed to and tanking damage is just a part of combat. The devs even knew how clunky and unfair the combat is by the absurd amount of health items and checkpoints.
Don’t get this game even if it’s free, it’s just not worth it.

From what I gathered, this game should have been an action-packed, badass, blood-pumping beat 'em up, but instead it settled on being an underwhelming, lifeless, and mediocre experience. In both instances of me trying this game, it never was able to get me minimally hooked, resulting in me choosing to spend my time on other, better, and more enjoyable beat 'em ups.
The combat is okay, I guess. There are plenty of actions to perform, giving birth to various combos, but also giving the player too much freedom to control the gameplay, resulting in unstoppable combos. The animations lack impact and feedback. The movement is janky and unnatural.
The art style did not appeal to me. It felt cheap and lazy. Every sound and even the soundtrack sounded basic, with no personality whatsoever.
The story is generic and uninteresting. The level design stays the same throughout the whole game. You will side scroll along the level and not remember anything because the environment and every area you will find yourself in is empty, bland, and lacking distinct features.
This was just my experience. There are also plenty of reviews recommending this game, so give it a try if you are interested. It gets pretty low on sale.

Despite high variety of combo moves and stunts you don't need to know them all to beat the game on hard difficulty which is neither good or bad
Overall story is short and whole game takes around 4 hours to beat on hard difficulty (no checkpoints)
which seems enough to provide entertainment and don't overstay it's welcome
As for the cons the dubbing is pretty doodoo and some attacks can get you stuck in the enemy hitboxes which either requires you to button mash or restart but nothing ground breaking if you are not too greedy with spamming the same move all the time

Скажу то, что управление в этой игре просто отвратительное от слова совсем. Когда ты нажимаешь рывок или же захват, то игра говорит тебе (Нет дружище, я не буду работать) в итоге ты 500 раз нажимаешь на кнопку рывка или захвата, но ничего не происходит, тебя просто убивают противники. Также я не понимаю, когда ты стреляешь в противника оружием, то они просто отбивают каким-то образом пули, но это бред полный. Я бы ничего не сказал, если у них в руках был бы щит, но они отбивают пули мечом или ножом, но это чушь конечно. Поставлю игре максимум 4 из 10. Раньше игра выглядела отлично, но сейчас же эта игра слишком уж стара.

если быть серьезным - то я получил очень неоднозначные ощущения об этой игре. с одной стороны вторая часть кажется намного лучше, но многие механики и приколы - именно в первой. я такой невообразимый кайф испытывал когда танцевал оружием с ордами противников в хардкоре, пока на нормале ощущал всё это бесполезным после получения дробовика + цепи, я ощущал будто я щяс порву себе жопу от доджа/блока на капслок, граб на контрол и другие пососные комбинации. НО ЭТО БЫЛО КРУТО И ОДНОВРЕМЕННО ОЧЕНЬ ХУЕВО. я начал обращать внимание на окружение и действия врагов, они намного умнее и выглядят разнообразнее в отличии от второй части где всё сборище магнуса по ощущениям пара простых спрайтов. тут тебе и сват, и армия, и мексиканская карархахха... правда финальный босс разочаровал (на нормале), тупо забил цезаря без пота и крови.
вообщем, игра что-то прям сверхсреднее между "я ещё сюда вернусь" и "ну его ♥♥♥♥♥". жаль сюда режим выживания не завезли я бы такие кульбиты крутил, придётся одной второй частью довольствоваться где это вырезали и поменяли приколы у оружия на сверхнищие. 6/10

Первая заточка, чисто со стороны геймплея, ну типичный битемап с, немного даже танковым управлением, после сиквела ну прям чувствуешь разницу. Это не плохо, это просто другое. Сюжет в игре интересный, графика мое почтение, те, кто занимался дилогией вообще красавчики, ВОТ ТАКИЕ игры с точки зрения даже не графики, а стилизации нужно продвигать, вот именно такие игры и будут бессмертными. 3Д устареет, рисунок от руки, никогда, ну это просто сильная сторона что первой, что второй части, по этому я делаю такой акцент на это. Боевая же, ну в целом прикольная, есть слабый удар с выходом в воздушное комбо, или же граунд джагл, есть тяжелые удары, так же можно выводить. и есть огнестрел, на отдельную кнопку. Да. Он всегда с вами, и это прям фишка игры, что у вас всегда 3 +1 (гранаты мини молики) снаряжения, а не как в большинстве, огнестрел это расходник по сути. Есть граб, он же захват, и есть его альт. версия, воздушный захват, хотя не совсем. Паунс, так он называется, это вообще имба. В оригинале, его вроде не было, добавили в версию стима, их можно переключать через свойства если это важно, короче этот паунс ваншотит по сути обычных бомжей, и, с точки зрения логики и эффективности, ему нет равных. Еще есть парирование и уворот, они на одну кнопку, но они дефолтные довольно, еще в стим версии цензура есть, на моменте казни, ну или же убийства. хотя я думаю это все же казнь за грехи мясника. В общем крайне рекомендую это, и вторую часть к покупке, стоят копейки, взамен получаете одни из самых запоминающихся битемапов на рынке в общем

игра детства , к сожалению больше таких не делают , единственный минус игры что она короткая , всего 12 часов ради 100% достижений и также получения всех скинов , графика самой игры и катсцен очень приятная , с каждым разом ее проходишь и кайфуешь) ставлю игре 9.5/10 , сколько бы раз ее не проходил ( я сделал уже это раз 10 ) хочется постоянно в нее заходить и кайфовать от расслабляющих кровавых и жестоких драк!

有科雷风格的卡通画风，游戏内一些较血腥画面在这个画风下反倒显得有些滑稽。
剧情
游戏无中文，甚至连英文字幕都没有，好在情节比较简单：Shank作为帮派的一员，老大命令Shank杀死自己的妻子来证明自己的忠诚，Shank断然拒绝，因此被老大的三个手下围攻，妻子也被杀死。多年之后，Shank归来，踏上他的复仇之路。
双人模式的剧情是单人模式的前传，会有不同的BOSS，推荐玩玩。
玩法
轻武器重武器远程武器的派生非常流畅，属于怎么按都能连成一套。单单一个手枪射击就有六个方向射击、前扑射击、左右双向射击、扑倒敌人单手射击等触发方式。
闪避有无敌帧，按住防御身前身后都能防，猛扑子弹时间超酷，轻武器连击速度快适合清杂兵，重武器出硬直适合砍精英。
哪怕是动作苦手，电锯跳劈复读或者手枪复读也能打的很爽，不仅跳劈时角色无法被选中，而且敌人倒地也能追加电锯跳劈你敢信。但一直复读电锯跳劈会出现卡敌人头上动不了的bug，这时候不能继续跳劈，正确处理方法是按一下格挡，再按一下猛扑就能解除，不然卡死就只能读档了。
跑酷时会遇到一些即死陷阱，但下落至陷阱时游戏会放缓，给玩家充足的反应时间，这点好评。
BOSS战大多通过背景交互或者格挡出处决，弄清机制难度就不算大。
键盘的键位有点奇怪，可以修改但退出游戏又恢复默认，毕竟10年的游戏，算是一点小问题。
游戏支持双人本地联机。

I played the original demo on PS3, and after finally playing it--wow. That was...short. But sweet. It makes sense, honestly. You can only play beat 'em ups for so long before you get bored and/or frusrated, but I still would've liked at least 2-3 more hours of playtime for the campaign, not only so players could have a bit more fun with the variety of weapons and different combos they can make, but also to flesh out the story more, as it does need a bit more depth imo. Another thing is that the cutscenes are cool but the animations are kinda clunky, and the voice acting could be better. Despite all this, the game is still very fun, challenging and visually appealing. Hopefully Shank 2 has more to offer.

Игра стильная, быстрая и дерзкая. Она просто не успевает наскучить за 3,5 часа основного сюжета, но при этом есть ещё два режима игры. Что уж говорить, если прохождение на 100% занимает всего 9 часов. Так же стоит отметить небольшую вариативность прохождения, что круто.

Dope as hell game, probably the best hack n slash 2D sidescroller I've played.
It's difficult to describe just how smooth the combat flow is, the same goes about the story TBH, I was able to beat it in a single sitting. You just go through the levels in these non-stop action and platforming gauntlets, the game doesn't overstay it's welcome and it was fun the whole way through. Just overall a really good time, if you have a couple of hours and bucks to spend then don't hesitate to get this

Really fun controls and combat, plus a great looking art-style. Be warned, though, some of the boss fights and certain parts of the levels are REALLY frustrating on hard mode. Also the story is very simplistic. That works for what the game is going for, but don't be expecting The Last of Us here.

[u]Шенк[/u] - главный герой этой истории и настоящая тестостероновая бомба, которым движет исключительно одна цель - месть. Некогда он был профессиональным наёмником-убийцей, частью "семьи" мафии. Однако шесть лет до событий игры произошёл инцидент, который заставил героя залечь на дно, чтобы подготовиться к мести за содеянное его бывшими товарищами.
Игроку предлагают три основных вида оружия: легкое, тяжелое и огнестрельное. Лёгкое - это самодельный нож, основное оружие главного героя в игре и кат-сценах. От него и пошло имя Шенка (Shank - заточка). В раздел огнестрельного оружия входят два пистолета, дробовик и УЗИ. Арсенал тяжёлого оружия наиболее велик: бензопила, два мачете, цепи и катана. Всё это мы легко находим на уровнях просто проходя игру. Грамотное комбинирование атак легкого, тяжелого и огнестрельного оружия превращает протагониста в неуязвимую машину для убийств.

Кого-то нужно банально стукнуть об стену, чтобы он выпал из нашего мира на какое-то время; для другого нужно будет вовремя опустить мясную тушу, чтобы крюк врага застрял в ней. Также от боссов мы узнаем всё больше подробностей о прошлом Шенка, его мотивах мести. Чем дальше играешь - тем больше подробностей, и пока ты полагаешь, что полная картина уже составлена, у следующего босса мы узнаём уже новую деталь.
[u]Сложность[/u] - в игре есть два варианта сложности: нормальная и сложная. На нормальной сложности появляется больше восстанавливающего здоровье пива, врагов не так много и сохранения происходят на каждой контрольной точке; самое то, чтобы ознакомиться с игрой и пробежать её за два часика. Сложность выше задирает планку скилла для игрока, поскольку теперь сохранения два на уровень - самое начало и конец, прямо у босса. Чтобы пройти игру на таком уровне мне потребовалось около 6 часов нарезать мафиозников и наёмников, находясь в постоянном напряжении от недостатка здоровья и высокой вероятности потерять весь прогресс на уровне. Так что насчёт казуальности можете не беспокоиться, игра может предложить вам достаточно трудный челлендж.
[u]Проблемы[/u] - в игре есть ряд определенных проблем: судя по всему, нынешняя версия игры - обрезанная, специально для релиза в Стиме. По крайней мере, так пишут в обсуждениях. Обрезаны кат-сцены и изменены уровни. Честно говоря, я не стал это проверять и сразу же скачал классические уровни и кат-сцены, благо это никак не влияет на получение достижений. В руководствах найдёте гайд, если захотите поиграть именно в классический Shank своего детства.
Также есть проблема с буквальным зависанием персонажа во время одного единственного приёма в воздухе, если ты во время него кликаешь на кнопки как умалишённый, пытаясь сразу же продолжить комбинацию. В этом случае помогает только перезапуск или удачное попадание под удар другого противника, чтобы наш герой смог разлагать.
И последнее - управление. Управление на клавиатуре, конечно, оставляет желать лучшего. На геймпаде играть мне неудобно (вот так уж сложилось), поэтому я всегда использую клавиатуру. И здесь нельзя настроить управление так, чтобы можно было атаковать на кнопки мыши. Игра просто не даст этого сделать. А ещё у меня постоянно слетали настройки после перезахода в игру. Ну, тем не менее, привыкнуть можно и к классическому управлению, но захочет ли игрок - вопрос открытый.

Shank - крутая и драйвовая игра на пару вечеров. Не "хорошая" и не "отличная", а именно крутая. Комиксный стиль рисовки, брутальность главного героя и его сверхъестественная сила на грани с бредом, а также крутые кат-сцены делают эту игру очень весёлой и интересной. Теперь становится понятно, почему в детстве она засела мне в память.

Si alguien gusta sacar el logro de pasarse el modo historia en dificil, recomiendo matar al primer enemigo que veas, si ves algun enemigo grande matalos con una granada y sobre todo ten paciencia. Sera un poco "masoquista" pasarse el modo historia en dificil, pero al menos solo te faltara jugarlo en coopertativo
Shank 1 - игра, которую я прошёл быстро, но она всё равно оставила приятное послевкусие.
Простой в освоений экшен, который не пытается быть чем-то большим. Очень нравится стиль и динамичность игры.
Персонажи и боссы тут запоминаются, и сюжет гораздо интереснее второй части. Подан он приятно, так что смотреть катсцены не скучно. Больше всего хотелось коопа также и для основной кампаний. Соло играть можно, но всё равно проходить игру вдвоем всегда веселее). Также хотелось бы отметить что несмотря на то что благодаря одному руководству получилось запустить кооп в соло, получить ачивку невозможно. Поэтому пришлось упростить игру засчет увелечения жизни(как бы стыдно не было, другого варианта нет). Плюс в игре прикольные костюмы)
В итоге Shank - это отличный вариант на один вечер, когда хочется чего-то быстрого. Прошёл один раз, прошел еще раз и дальше уже особо возвращаться не тянет. Но если бы был напарник, я бы наверняка задержался подольше.

The jank really shines in the hard mode making it extremely frustrating to get through, but the visual style and awesome, fast-paced, near addicting gameplay really make up for it on the normal first go around.
Como tal no lo recomiendo mucho pero no hay punto medio en Steam.
NO esta en español ni hay mods que traduzcan el juego, tampoco hay subtitulos en ingles, son solo voces en ingles pero igual la historia no es importante y es muy generica (no me entere de mucho).
Shank es un beat them up como los de los 90 pero con mejores graficos, mas armas (4 melee y 3 armas de fuego) y mas mecanicas, el juego es entretenido pero se vuelve repetitivo rapido, siempre vas a spamear los mismos ataques y usar las mismas armas (encontre un ataque que mata de 1 golpe a enemigos basicos y solo usaba ese).
Hay zonas de plataformeo que hace que no sea siempre estar peleando pero a veces siento que estan muy mal hechas, mi primera partida fue en hard y solo por eso odie el juego, el plataformeo muchas veces si fallas es insta kill, y tampoco es como que haya un tutorial de como hacer las cosas, recien en el nivel 4 pude practicar y entender mejor la mecanica en un entorno seguro.
En cuanto a bugs me encontre con un par, pero solamente 1 me jodio, al spamear un ataque a veces te quedabas bloqueado flotando sobre un enemigo y tenia que reiniciar, ya despues entendi como replicarlo y lo podia evitar, pero eso no quita que me habra hecho reiniciar al menos 5 veces los niveles (jugando en hard).
Lo "recomiendo" solo porque es muy barato, jugando en normal (segunda partida) el juego me duro 1 hora y 11 minutos, en dificil (primer partida) me duro como 3 horas y media, porque no sabia jugar y el plataformeo es una poronga si no sabes como funciona.
Si lo vas a jugar y conseguir los logros juega primero en normal, tienes que jugar en ambas dificultades para desbloquear los 2 relacionados con la dificultad.
