Don't waste your time with this one. It's bad. It's like a crash bandicoot version of a ninja game except worse. If you hate someone you can gift it to them, tell them it's awesome and you can't wait to hear what they think of the ending. Cut scenes don't play. There isn't even a sound effect for picking up coins. The character models looked better in Goldeneye 64. This game isn't even trying to be retro, it just sucks. Think all the great ninja platformers you've played and then think of the most generic great-value version, then nuke that into a microwave and you might get something like this game. It's a mobile game from 2015 and smart phones hadn't even been out for 10 years at that point. Negative infinity out of ten.

Порт мобилки, перенесший с собой и фундаментальную для [i]оПэКашивания[/i] проблему — собственно, свою исходную [i]мобильчатость[/i]. Это далеко не жертва крайне ленивого переезда на рельсы компика как [b][url= https://store.steampowered.com/app/418270/Draw_Slasher/]«Draw Slasher»[/url][/b], но и не какой-нибудь проект, чувствующий себя [i]также[/i] хорошо, как в своем [i]мобильном доме[/i]. Всё же проекту куда органичнее в рамках [i]приложения на телефоне[/i], где вкупе с ограничениями платформы, тому дадут и поблажки средь обилия ему равноуровневых подобных, нежели в статусе [i]игры на PC.[/i]

При этом игра не душит своей сложностью, облачена в приятный глазу комиксный визуал, не режет слух крайне легковесной, непритязательной музыкой и даже хорошо управляется. Однако во всём остальном — это [i]"У нас дома есть [b][url= https://store.steampowered.com/app/214560/Mark_of_the_Ninja/]«Mark of the Ninja»[/url][/b]"[/i] с аналогичными поворотами сюжета и куцым встроенным переводом, но без стелса.

И всё бы ничего, но страница игры в магазине говорит про [b]«Облачные сохранения»[/b], которые у той на самом деле [u]отсутствуют[/u]. Из-за чего весь свой наработанный прогресс по итогу потерял вовсе не пользователь, а сам проект в его глазах. Поскольку всё то немногочисленное хорошее, что было вынесено выше, уже не может [i]сохранить[/i] к себе положительного отношения с такой-то обесценивающей труды ложкой дёгтя.

戦闘はあっさり風味。刀で斬る、手裏剣を刺す、相手は死ぬ!

・操作説明不足([空中]→(下+ダッシュor攻撃→即ダッシュ)×Nの説明ある?)
・オブジェクトの認識が難しい(輪郭線や色で対処可能だったかも)
・下系キー+ダッシュor攻撃による誤操作が頻発する

難易度がリニアに上がっていくわけでもなく、たまに簡単な面もでてくる。これは継続してプレイする気にさせる手法だと受け取った。
開発者のわかってますよという匙加減が感じられる作品。良作!

O jogo é muito bom! Ele é bem rápido e te incentiva o tempo todo a jogar com agilidade. É extremamente divertido jogar as fases buscando a perfeição. A jogabilidade realmente te faz se sentir um ninja, com um personagem frágil, mas muito rápido, com vários movimentos para atacar ou agilizar as seções de plataforma. Ele tem um pequeno toque de plataforma de precisão, mas não dá pra classificá-lo assim porque o foco aqui não é ser frustrantemente difícil, mas sim criar um ambiente que seja prazeroso de navegar e usar seus movimentos.
A história é um tanto simples, mas faz um bom papel em conduzir a progressão do jogo. As cutscenes em forma de história em quadrinho são bem legais entretanto.

This game is great! It is a fast paced experince that really makes you feel like a ninja. It is extremely fun to play the levels trying the perfect run. Like a ninja, the main character is pretty fragile, but his vast moveset creates a playground for you to defeat enemies and breeze through the platforming challenges. The game has really light precision platform elements, but the main focus is always to give you liberty to be as cool as you can while playing.
The story is a little too simple, but it works well in creating a scenario for the game. In the other hand, the comic book style cutscenes are awesome.

Simple to get in to and hard to master should be well put about this game. I have had this for ages in my backlog and i just played for two levels and i have to say i am surprised of how good this little game plays.
Till now that is because i am writing you this after only playing two levels.
I just wanted to say that i know were the game is going to and i like it a lot.
When i play a bit more i might change my mind but for what i did play and see on youtube, this game should have a 7.5 out of 10 points rating.

For what i have played till now i would say...

-Buena jugabilidad, simple, fluida y precisa.
-Buen estilo artístico que mezcla temas como el de ninjas y el cyberpunk.
-Buen diseño de niveles que alientan la rejugabilidad para obtener todos los coleccionables.
-Buena banda sonora que mezcla la música clásica oriental y el dubstep.
-Posee un creador de niveles en el que puedes compartir tus creaciones y jugar las de la comunidad.
En general es muy buen juego aunque algo corto, entre 3-4 horas completas la campaña, luego quedan los desafíos y el editor de niveles.
*Presenta un error de cinemáticas, pero es solucionable desde el foro en el que respondieron los desarrolladores.

Bought this game way back in 2016, didn't really play it but for a short while. Thereafter it has been sitting in my library for the last 9 years. Started playing it again and realize that it is a really neat ninja game. Controls are tight and game play is quite decent. Now with summer sale and a 85% discount. If you are a fan of ninja games and 2D platformer games. Give it a shot.

Fast paced and performs well.

The game works perfectly fine on Windows 11 23H2 if you install the right codecs. It has a dependency to LAVFilters to play videos. If you are getting a codec related error/warning and can't see videos in the game, you will need to install LAVFilters. If you don't, apparently it also causes some issue on the last boss fight to prevent progression.

The game includes LAVFilters-0.62.exe on its install folder but this is now 10 years old. Don't install these.

Go to https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases and download the latest release (such as
LAVFilters-0.79.2-Installer.exe). Install these and you should be able to see the videos.

Shadow Blade is a classic speedrun game, you must get through the fifty levels as quickly as possible, eliminating enemies and avoiding deadly spikes in a 2D setting. Upon completing the level you get scored on your time and how many people you killed, using your katana or shuriken.
The game difficulty is quite balanced if you are used to this style of game.
Overall for what it is and what it costs it's a good game.

Очень годный платформер\слэшер, где вы берёте на себя роль ниндзя, ищущего мести. Только геймплей тут точно не про стелс. Игра динамична и драйвова. В арсенале нашего героя, как и подобает настоящему ниндзя, катана и сюрикены. А сам он обладает кучей возможностей. Лазает по стенам, совершает двойной прыжок, делает рывок вперёд, пробивает хрупкие поверхности мощным ударом и многое другое. Так же может использовать тело противника, чтобы уничтожить его же, делая добивания всевозможными способами. Кровь и конечности только и успевают лететь во все стороны. Анимация по умервщлению недругов сделана добротно.
Враги в игре разнообразные и колоритные. Вооружены кто чем. Кто просто с катаной на вас бежит, кто с огнестрела шмаляет, а кто-то и вовсе вооружён гранатомётами с системой наведения. А боссы краше один другого. Каждый из них уникален и имеет несколько форм. Это и огромный мех, и злобный колдун, и др. Есть даже прыткий ниндзя, с которым вам не нужно сражаться. При вашем виде он даёт дёру, и от вас требуется его догнать, обходя препятствия и выбирая правильный путь.
Помимо разнообразных противников, путь нашему герою преграждают многочисленные ловушки и препятствия, в виде циркулярных пил, шипов, лазеров, закрытых дверей, для которых которых нужно найти кнопку-активатор, и многого другого. А уровни построены так, что их нужно исследовать. Это конечно не метроидвания, но нечто схожее. Например, есть моменты, где путь преграждает несколько дверей. Сначала проходите один участок локации, чтобы открыть одну дверь, потом другую, и так далее, пока не откроете последнюю. А есть места, где нужно на скорость преодолеть ловушку.
Локации в игре интересные и разнообразные. Каждая со своим сеттингом. Одна, например, полностью сделана в самурайском стиле, а другая полная противоположность (техногенный уровень). На уровнях есть предметы, которые собирать не обязательно, но для достижений необходимо. Некоторые из них находятся в труднодоступных или неочевидных местах.
Стилистически игра красивая, с яркой и красочной графикой, отличной анимацией и проработанными локациями и частичной интерактивностью (с частью предметов можно взаимодействовать, хоть это на геймплей никак и не влияет. Например, можете затушить свечи). Музыкальное сопровождение и саундтреки бомбически и идеально вписываются в игру.
Играть можно как на клавиатуре, так и на геймпаде. Но крайне рекомендую второй вариант. Игра, в первую очередь, как-никак платформер. Помимо истребления врагов, нужно прыгать, много прыгать.
В общем, игра отличная и интересная. Залип я в неё, пока не сделал на сто процентов. Динамичные бои с противниками, интересные схватки с боссами, красивая картинка и отличная музыка. Есть полноценный сюжет, подаваемый в виде комикса (на русском языке). Присутствуют достижения (есть сложные), доска почёта и коллекционные карточки. Даже мастерская есть, где вы можете создавать свои уровни. С этим есть связанные достижения.
Игру рекомендую, особенно если любите платформеры и слэшеры.

A pretty serviceable action-platformer that seems to be either poorly developed or maybe a poor port or something. When you beat some levels the game crashes and says "You need to install codecs." Could I figure this out? Sure, but the game riding the line of "fine" and not "amazing" so a game crashing bug where I get to do tech support is just enough for me not to recommend this.

An amazing game, strange that it is not popular.

Fluid controls, with no cheap deaths which many platformers have. Three difficulties, with sometimes significant changes in the levels' layouts - therefore, great replayability. I did not bother to complete all three of them after finishing the game once - but I might return for it later

It does not have a great story, really, but who the ♥♥♥♥ would care for a story in a platformer

Highly recommended if you have a gamepad and you are looking for a great platforming experience

A challenging at times platformer where you traverse a number of quick movement platforms and wall jumps to reach the end, I beat the Dojo which is 7 missions.

Overall a simple premise yet requires practice to master, you need speed, accuracy and skills to take your enemies.

I liked the game but platformers in general don't hold my attention long.

当年在手机上全S玩通关第一代的时候一直在期待第二代，好不容易等到第二代却发现从第二关开始掉帧根本没法玩，一开始买的时候还以为是第一代，打算为制作组买单的时候却意外的发现这原来是续作，不过少了漫画剧情....如果支持中文的话，或许还会买dlc的漫画故事看看，既然不支持那就算了吧，只买游戏就好。

Shadow Blade: Reload is everything I wanted from a speed-running ninja game. When speaking to friends about games of this genre, Shadow Blade is a go-to to mention, even among more critically acclaimed titles like Mark of the Ninja. I'm not saying you'll get the same polish or intuitive game-play as in Mark of the Ninja, but you certainly will have a blast playing through this title.

Keep it mind, this game was a failed project for its developers. Only 160 reviews, god only knows how many sales, the developers are indie and a small team, and the game frequently goes on sale for 99 cents. I'm not reviewing this game with the same standards as I would a 60$ game with a huge team, because that's not what this is.

Shadow Blade: Reload features bugs in certain levels, the one I remember distinctly was a bug which made you clip through a textured wall towards the end of a level, causing you to have to reattempt that level. Not a huge deal, but worth noting since it did ruin some speed-running times for me. I believe it was possible to shift yourself back out of the clipping too, but for the most part you had to completely restart that level. I don't remember any other major bugs, and for the pennies I spent on this game, it wasn't a huge issue.

Comic story-lines are present in the beginning or endings of certain levels, which were done quite well for the short story a speed-running game was attempting to tell, and the art-style fit the overall theme and didn't feel outdated. (Game is 6ish years old, doesn't feel it though.) When originally starting this game, you do have to change settings to be able to see the cutscenes, though they aren't important or necessary to understand what's happening in the game. I don't believe it is a bug that causes them to not show up, but rather some contract issue the devs faced. Originally there was voice acting in the scenes, but it was taken out and even after changing settings to show the cutscenes, it's only subtitles. Guessing something happened behind the scenes with the voice actors.

With all that being said, I was addicted to this game. Sure, there was certainly many ways this game could be improved upon, but the developers certainly didn't have the money for that, and I don't mind. Finding the hidden bonuses, beating runtimes, doing challenges of full stealth/pacifist were all fun and worth my time. I couldn't NOT do them, this game sucked me in and managed to become one of my favorite ninja titles despite all its issues. I can't say it's worth 10$ due to lack of polish and devs having to more away from this failed title, but it IS worth it when it goes on sale. Severely underrated and unfortunately forgotten, I wish the devs success with future titles. Incredibly fun to achievement hunt as well.

the movement was fluid and worked well and gripping the wall felt good

I did have one glitch where the music stopped playing one level
the animations look nice but the comics without sound are lackluster
and collecting the orbs only give yay for you points so skipping those makes this game quite short

Shadow Blade: Reload is an average platform game about ninjas and super-powers (somewhat).
It's short - something like three hours, four at best, considering you can complete each level in two or three minutes; it's easy - most of the enemies will die just by your shurikens, and the tougher ones can be one-shotted by a simple air move.
The story is nothing more than an excuse to let you go through the stages.

It has not the brilliant design of Mark of the Ninja nor require skill like Super Meat Boy but Shadow Blade: Reload is still worth your time, if you like platform games filled with enemies here and there you, either you want to play it just once or through its two extra and not-so-more hard modes.

Pour ma part j'apprécie énormément ce genre de jeu type"ninja-plateforme" :-)... toujours à la recherche d'un shinobi like.
Il ne s'agit pas vraiment de cela ici, mais d'un jeu toutefois très accrocheur et ce pour deux raisons : la jouabilité est très précise même rare (si y'a faute pas besoin de rager c'est pour vo'te pomme) et sa difficulté bien dosée. Ce n'est pas un jeu punitif qui vous ramène au début lorsque vous faites une erreur car il y a plein de checkpoint et du coup on reste dans l'action.
Pas cher surtout en solde alors pourquoi hésiter.

競速要素讓診體遊戲節奏很緊湊，關卡設計也還行。
但是操作相較下不夠很流暢。
像是貼牆(下)切到(右+跳)遊戲很常判斷為(下+跳)、
且跳偶爾會被吃掉沒反應，頻率不高但每次發生就很不愉快
etc...
快節奏的競速遊戲有這些問題優點就折半了
實在是很可惜...

Really fun and challenging game with a nice difficulty curve and simple mechanics.

Animations and movement is smooth, the graphics are consistent and readable and enemies are fun to mess around with. That's all I want in a game like this.

Surprisingly satisfying ninja sidescrolling action. There's a bug with the cutscenes that might not be fixable for everyone but the core gameplay is rock solid and a lot of fun.

This would have been a classic back in the 16 bit days.

ADDENDUM: To fix the cutscenes playback issue you just need to into the game's folder and find a .exe file (LAVFilters-0.62). Run it and it should provide the game with what it needs to show you what you need to know as a fullblown ninja elite!

story is okay., graphics are okay, sfx is cool, level design is also good but you'll probably encounter at least one game breaking bug (it happend to me about 5 times, for example there was invisible wall and i stuck in it and i had to restart the game or sometimes when i attacked enemies from up i stuck into them and they would kill me and there was nothing that i could do)
Overall it's a fun and enjoyable experience and it's worth buying in my opinion
but i have no idea how the hell developers think that last boss fight should take only 3 minutes, i spent 1 damn hour to beat it -_____-

A surprisingly fun arcade game that mixes the traditional things: somewhat straightforward levels, various collectibles for points and ranks and a simple but satisfactory combat system. Reminds me of Nitrome's Final Ninja, just fewer shurikens and a lot more sword-oriented.

The game is just good - there are 7 chapters with 5-10 levels in each, and a few ( I think 4) bossfights. Each level takes 2-5 minutes to be completed even on the first try (supported by TONS of checkpoints, maybe 10ish on each level), knowledge of the level can make it even faster - rank-hunting is still not easy, but user-friendly. While deaths are counted and they affect your rank, a level is completed when you reach the exist, regardless of how you performed.

Game features a handful of enemy types, around 7. Three being ranged (aimed gunshot, homing rocket and sticky bomb), each posing different threat. Additionally, a few melee enemies are immune/unaffected by some of your attacks, but each of the enemies have a valid and well-defined counterplay (dash-slash, shuriken, dive-attack, or the classic stab-in-the-back) which further enforces the arcade feeling.

Movement system is a lof of fun - wallrunning, wallclimbing, wallsliding, double jump, dash/airbone dash are all available, and the later chapters use them quite a lot. Movement and climbing is not super accurate, but the jumping itself is well-controlled and tight, and the game favours the player, in a rule of cool-way - an almost-reached-the-edge jump will reach the edge, fluidity was the designer's focus.
The game's challenge comes from getting past environmental hazards, defeating a few crucially placed enemies, and about a dozen ones that you fight on equal grounds (so using your extensive moveset, just stomp them), while maximizing your score.
Prepare for 3-6 hours of gameplay to finish the game once, then whatever time you want to spend on it to get a better rank. A really fun game, well worth getting when it's priced to your liking. (Currently 2,45€ at 70% off, for an average discount's reference)
