Save Room is a short but really fun puzzle game inspired by the inventory system from RE 4. One of the most unique parts of RE4 was managing your inventory, turning it into a kind of mini puzzle where you had to fit everything efficiently.

This game takes that idea and pushes it to the extreme. Every level is about optimizing space, and it gets progressively more challenging across its 40 levels. It’s easy to pick up, but as you get closer to the end, you’ll need to think a lot more carefully about how you organize everything.

It’s perfect for short play session. It leaves you wanting more, luckily, the developers made another game expanding on these mechanics with more gameplay depth.

Overall, it’s just a simple, well executed, and genuinely enjoyable puzzle game.

Transformer un système d’inventaire en gameplay principal est une excellente idée, bien exploitée.
Progression bien dosée

Le jeu introduit progressivement ses mécaniques (rotation, combinaison, gestion des ressources), ce qui permet une prise en main naturelle.
Mécaniques intéressantes
Fusion d’objets, gestion des munitions, utilisation stratégique des items : tout a une utilité et pousse à réfléchir.

OST agréable et apaisante
La musique accompagne bien le gameplay sans être intrusive.
Format court maîtrisé (~4h)
Une durée parfaite pour ce type d’expérience, sans étirer inutilement le contenu.

Gameplay répétitif sur la durée
Malgré de bonnes idées, le concept peut devenir redondant après plusieurs niveaux.

Le jeu reste centré sur une seule boucle de gameplay, sans réelle surprise.

Certains niveaux reposent sur des combinaisons très précises, pouvant pousser à tester un peu “au hasard”.

Le jeu reprend clairement l’identité visuelle de l’inventaire de "Resident Evil 4", avec une interface en grille et des objets réalistes.
L’ambiance est minimaliste mais efficace : pas de narration lourde, tout passe par l’interface et le ressenti du joueur.
L’OST douce renforce ce côté “puzzle chill”, presque méditatif.

Le jeu prend le temps d’enseigner ses règles.
La difficulté monte progressivement.
Les mécaniques comme la perte de vie pour gagner de la place ajoutent une vraie dimension stratégique.

Malgré une certaine répétitivité et quelques frustrations, le jeu reste une expérience courte mais satisfaisante, parfaite pour se détendre tout en stimulant son cerveau.

Very fun little puzzle game which was highly relaxing, anda solid brain tickler in the last 10 levels. WIshed it got a bit more difficult earlier on, but the later case layouts were a ton of fun!

有点意思但不多。主要原因可能还是体量略小变化略少，很多关卡还有非唯一解，但我也知道这玩意如果复杂起来难度将会指数上升，所以实际上还是聪明设计。

不算极简，也不是什么能让人沉迷的玩法。硬挑骨头的话，由于弹药药草有多种组合，有时候错一步就不得不全盘重来比较麻烦，而撤一步也不是什么难事。还应该有一个一键清空移到场外的设计，场外都无限空间了你还玩什么华容道啊。

以评分来论肯定达不到op的水平，但二元论也无可奈何。总不能因为不服气打个差评。

初回プレイで1時間少しで全面クリア、実績を集めきっても80分程度。
見ての通りの道具納めパズルです。バイオなハザード感覚があります。
ただ空き場所に収めるだけではなく、アイテムを合成したり食べたりしてひたすらに整理整頓していきます。
それ以上の言うことが特に無い！低価格ですがサクッと楽しめました。

Incredibile ma vero, questo gioco è un puzzle game che è interamente incentrato sull'ordinare l'inventario dei Resident Evil "moderni" (dal 4 in poi, indicativamente). E non dico Resident Evil così per dire, perché ci sono letteralmente le erbe colorate, le uova, le polveri per fare le munizioni e le armi che usano Leon & co in quei giochi.
Il gioco ha un funzionamento molto semplice: sulla destra avete un tot di oggetti, che dovrete sistemare nell'inventario a sinistra. Esattamente come a Resident Evil, potrete ruotarli, combinare le erbe o le varie polveri da sparo tra loro, inserire le munizioni nelle armi e così via. Ci sono inoltre due obiettivi aggiuntivi che devono essere necessariamente rispettati in ogni livello, e che aggiungono una maggiore sfida al gioco: TUTTE le armi non devono essere scariche (il numero di munizioni nel caricatore non è importante, basta che non sia 0), e la vostra salute deve essere al verde. Il gioco richiede quindi un buon colpo d'occhio, capacità organizzative e... qualche minimo fondamento logico. Vi faccio due esempi: nel gioco, come presto scoprirete, non potete togliere munizioni dalle armi una volta caricate, e non è possibile dividere i gruppi di munizioni manualmente. Se voi avete due shotgun, uno con un caricatore da 8, ed uno da 10, ed un singolo caricatore da 10, se lo inserite nel secondo shotgun, le avrete esaurite subito. Se invece le inserite nel primo, dato che più di 8 non ci possono andare, ve ne rimarranno 2 in avanzo, che potranno essere inserite nel secondo - in sostanza, facendo così, con un singolo caricatore da 10 rispetterete la condizione "tutte le armi devono essere cariche" per i due shotgun. Una cosa simile accade per la salute: se voi avete un uovo sano (oggetto che cura una "tacca" di salute), uno marcio (che fa perdere invece una "tacca" se consumato) ed uno spray medico (che cura tutta la salute), e la vostra salute è gialla (che è lo stato intermedio - la salute può essere rossa, gialla e verde), se usate l'uovo marcio per andare al rosso, e quindi lo spray medico, vi ritroverete con l'uovo in avanzo, perché essendo al verde non potrete curarvi ulteriorlmente. Ma se usate, ad esempio, l'uovo marcio, che vi manda al rosso, quindi l'uovo sano, che vi farà tornare al giallo, e quindi lo spray, che vi manderà al verde, con questa tattica avrete consumato tutti gli oggetti curativi e non dovrete sistemarli nell'inventario di sinistra.
È un gioco molto semplice (l'ho finito facendo tutti gli achievement in un'ora e venti circa, il resto è tempo "in idle" per prendere le carte collezionabili), ma molto divertente da giocare. Lo consiglio caldamente, specie considerando il prezzo veramente basso.

It sounds like shooting yourself in the foot, but for some reason it works very well as a puzzle game. It's good fun to pop in and do a few levels now and again.

It helps that the game is cheap, short and not that hard. It'll entertain you for about 2 hours. That's how long it took for me to 100% it, and I'm not good at puzzle games.

A fun little game. For Resident Evil fans like me, it can be a fun little distraction for an hour or two. For people who haven't played those games, it could be a fun little intro to "Inventory Tetris".

The game is very straightforward and it took me under 2 hours to 100% but the asking price is quite low. I actually like the fact that there are games that are not 100+hours just for the sake of it.

All in all, a solid little game and a fun reference filled nostalgia trip.

They took one of the things that I love the most about Resident Evil 4 (one of my all-time favourite games, play it if you haven't), and turned it into a fun and surprisingly clever game. It's not just managing to fit all of the items into the inventory, it's also about strategizing combinations of items to take up as little space as possible.

I bought this game with a few other games, and while I was waiting for one particularly large game to download, I thought: "I'll play that Save Room game while I wait for this other game to finish downloading, then I'll play that one". I ended up playing this game instead. It had its hooks in me from the moment I started playing, and then I proceeded to finish it in one sitting.

Worth every penny, and every minute. If this game looks fun, definitely grab this one. There's even a bundle that has the sequel.

致敬生化四各种元素包括BGM、物品介绍/合成以及典中典语音播报的拼图或者说整理格子游戏，可惜我当年玩的是在防弹衣口袋里找防弹衣的九格子生化五。
虽然只有短短四十关但做出了平滑的难度曲线，逐渐添加的机制（从子弹装填、扣血补血到子弹/药物合成）也让游戏不会过于枯燥。唯一缺点是由于本质拼图所以大部分关卡都塞得满满当当没有任何冗余，合成补血填弹这些小巧思也是提前设计好的必做项而不是让我感觉自己很聪明的可选项，不过也无伤大雅。
不规则拼图比方方正正简单这一块儿在本作展现的淋漓尽致，最后一关卡了我好久。

It hasn’t been long since I have started to realize how tiring it is to play all those multi-dozen hour games one after another. And when the life-service games join the equation? Oof, the only fantasy you end up with is an unpaid worker. And I can’t express how fresh it feels to play a nice short game after all this time.

In case if you somehow don’t know it already, [i]Save Room[/i] is an homage to the original [i]Resident Evil 4[/i]. The project takes its inventory system and turns it into a puzzle game. It starts fairly simple - you merely have to fit all the items on the play field. But soon enough [i]Save Room[/i] rather unexpectedly introduces some of the actual mechanics of its inspiration. Eventually, the item combining aspect of the game goes completely wild and this is what I especially wish to highlight.

Every single mechanic you can find on the inventory screen of [i]Resident Evil 4[/i] from over twenty years ago is fully realized in this game. The level of dedication here is mind bugling! I do not have much left to say on the title other than that it takes around 70 minutes to complete it and that I found the late stages to be quite fun and challenging. The last level is particularly tough and it alone took 15 minutes of my playtime.

[i]Save Room[/i] is a nice little puzzle game with an original concept and a huge sense of respect to the source material. It is cheap, short and creative in a very fun way. So if you’re thinking of picking it up - don’t think, just go straight after it. This is what a real “fanservice” is and what it always meant to be.

El TOC hecho videojuego.

Una premisa simple "inspirada" en el sistema de inventario de Resident Evil 4 (y del Village también, pero está claro a que juego se parece). Save Room se compone de 40 puzzles en los que deberemos de organizar una serie de objetos en un espacio divido en cuadriculas que varía en cada nivel, con la diferencia de que los objetos serán armas y objetos del juego (con nombres cambiados para evitar el copyright).

Con el progreso, los puzzles se irán complicando (con algún pico de dificultad de por medio) haciendo necesario combinar o usar objetos para superarlos. Los gráficos son los que cabría esperar y la música es siempre la misma, pero con el juego engancha tanto ni te das cuenta. Y es que en menos de dos horas lo habrás terminado para seguramente no rejugarlo nunca, pero te habrás entretenido, y por menos de tres euros pues ni tan mal.

Conclusión: está bueno para una tarde tonta, la típica que te da pereza empezar un juego nuevo, pero quieres jugar a algo

A fun short game.

The puzzles are good, its a decent challenge at times, and it does actually scratch the inventory management itch, which is a bit I love about games like RE4.

Getting the final achievements was a bit tedious, but it did only take 10 min, and could have taken less if I didn't think I had already done something I hadn't, so can't complain too much about that.

Solid game all in all, well worth the money.

Coming back to give this one a thumbs up since it was cheap but felt like it was made with a bit of polish and care. The references are fun and the levels are decent. The item descriptions as nods to the aesthetic inspiration are a fun bonus. The sequel is okay but I would recommend this one whole heartedly especially at the price point.

Fun puzzle game overall. Probably won't take most players more than 2 hours to get through all 40 puzzles.

Didn't like the last few puzzles, they were tedious and annoying compared to the rest of the game. This is mostly due to the fact that it becomes more of a trial and error when trying to figure out where the large weapons need to sit, and there's not an easy way to remove them and try again because there's no quick way to sort your remaining items in the external storage. It winds up being faster to reset the level, but then you have to go through the process of combining a bunch of items and ammo together, and it just led to the final levels taking far longer and being more irritating than they needed to be.

Pretty quick, finished the main game in an hour, then took 20~ mins or so to get the achievements I missed.
It ends before the weirdly delayed mouse controls really start to grate, same with the incredibly long menu animations.
Very fun, wish it had a level editor/workshop support, but it's still very worth the 2$ I paid for it.

Short, simple, and yet addictively fun. 40 levels of the Resident Evil 4 inventory management that become increasingly complex the further you progress. This game wasn’t on my Wishlist long before I decided to buy it. Glad I did. Gave me about 2 hours of good fun. Had to use a walkthrough for some bits, but otherwise was able to get most of the levels on my own. Really makes you think.

Save Room takes to best elements of the RE2 Save Room style – no bad guys, no pressure, just you and a wait room, 40 levels. Easily good for 1-3 hours depending on your style. Without a guide, once you catch on to the mechanics

This is honestly a really fun puzzle game and it being based off of Resident Evil 4's inventory grid system is such a clever idea. It was actually quite the challenge to beat all the levels and 100% the game. My only issue is that, for the extra achievements, there is no progress bar to show the stuff you are missing. It took me way too long to get the "Did you catch the reference?" achievement because I had to go back through every level just to examine one item that I missed. My only other issue is that there's no instant restart button, so you have to exit the level and go back in to restart. Besides that, this game is very well made and is a fun time killer. 8/10.

¿Recomendaría este videojuego? si, si porque es un juego de mecánicas sencillas, con un soundtrack bastante relajante, este juego es un rompecabezas en el que mas de una vez trataras de dar con la solución pero fallaras, no quiero decir que es un juego super complejo porque no lo es, es un gran juego para pasar unos minutos o para tenerlo en segundo plano por su banda sonora, cumple con entretener y si te gustan los juegos de acertijos y de acomodar objetos es altamente recomendado.

This is a dumb one, but I am going to leave a review anyway. It sounds like a zombie game, but it most definitely is not. it is a rather clever organizing game. you organize stuff in your pack, as if in an apocalypse scenario. It is rather challenging and fun to complete. 8/10, wouldn't play more than once or twice.

While no crazy challenges throughout in terms of puzzles, they're regularly fun and interesting, and introduce new mechanics at a good pace. And the love for the resident evil series is clear throughout.

A Compact Puzzle with a Tactical Twist

Imagine Tetris, but ditch the falling blocks and swap in weapons, potions, and a grid-based inventory system. That’s the core of this minimalist puzzle game: you’re tasked with arranging oddly shaped items to fit perfectly into a bag shaped grid to advance. Simple, clean, and oddly satisfying.

There are a few extra mechanics sprinkled in, like combining items to craft stronger healing potions or optimize your layout, but nothing too complex. You can even choose whether or not to chow down on mysterious eggs (no judgment either way).

It’s a short and sweet experience, clocking in at about one to two hours. Not particularly challenging, but it scratches that organizational itch. Compared to Save Room: Merchant, I actually preferred this one, no shop mechanic to fuss with, which made it feel a bit more streamlined.

Final verdict: 4.5/10.

A tidy little time filler with just enough charm to keep you sorting
