То ли Rue Valley действительно не заслуживает такого количества негативных отзывов, то ли я сентиментальный казуал, который ставит ей 8/10.

Прошла залпом и дважды, чтобы собрать все ачивки и спустя второе прохождение оценка снизилась только на 1 балл. Игра великолепна.

Тем не менее, она вообще не о том, о чём кажется изначально.

В первую очередь: это НЕ Диско Элизиум, хотя это вы и так уже явно поняли по другим отзывам.
Во вторую очередь: она линейна. Игра настолько же вариативна, как Геншин Импакт. Диалоги влияют по большей части на пару ответных фраз, но сюжет остаётся тем же. [spoiler] Концовку можно изменить только в случае, если играть вам совершенно не интересно. В этом случае лучше действительно выбрать для игры что-то другое. [/spoiler]
В третью очередь: петля здесь не главное.

Однозначные да к прохождению, если:

В остальных случаях, вероятно, игра покажется нудной, затянутой и всё остальное.

У неё есть свои минусы: действительно не хватает больше взаимодействий с другими персонажами или вещами [spoiler]как же я смотрела на этот велосипед, вышагивая в бар пешком в 30 раз с мастер-картой в кармане...[/spoiler] поинты, что распределяете изначально — совершенно бесполезная штука, за 2 игры в сумме у меня прошли только 3-4 проверки, но и они ни на что не повлияли, но, откровенно говоря, это совершенно не испортило игру, хотя и есть вопросы к необходимости данной механики. Местами не хватило скипа перемещений, но только потому что я закрывала вообще всё, что могу закрыть и для этого приходилось тащиться далеко, долго и много раз подряд...

В то же время у неё очень приятный сеттинг, стиль, анимации, классные ироничные диалоги, персонажи с характером, атмосфера и чутка дереализации от ощущения реальности временной петли. Rue Valley ощущалась как книга, которая "ещё одну главу и спать", пока не дочитаешь до конца, а за окном уже рассвет, а после — сюжетное похмелье с мыслью, что хочется ещё. И это всё в моём случае перекрывает вышеназванные моменты.

В общем, игра не без минусов, но она классная. Судя по сводке обновлений, большу́ю часть контента добавили пару месяцев назад и это определённо пошло на пользу. Возможно, в будущем ещё перекроются оставшиеся вопросы и с удовольствием зайду на третье прохождение, а если нет, то просто буду с кайфом вспоминать прошедшее время в этой игре)

Ну, и надеюсь, что это не последняя игра разработчиков в подобной тематике, было бы здорово увидеть что-то ещё, или же посмотреть какое-то дополнение, завершающее истории жителей и самого Юджина, развязывающие все завязки и отвечающие на все вопросы <3

В очередной раз хочу поныть о том, что в steam нет оценки "нейтрально", из-за чего, приходится идти на определённые уступки касательно рекомендации игры.

Мне очень нравится Disco Elysium, и я относительно долгое время искал что-то подобное для себя, а ждать новых проектов от выходцев из ZA/UM ещё очень долго...

Сразу скажу, что Rue Valley - это Disco Elysium у нас дома, игра вроде как даже пытается быть самобытный, но тем не менее, имеет элементы из Disco, которые здесь хрен пойми зачем и на сюжет они никаких не влияют... Я говорю про механику, когда в Disco ты бросал кубик для совершения какого-либо важного сюжетного действия, в Rue Valley она есть, но влияет - на целое ничего.

Тем не менее, рисовка достаточно приятная глазу, музыка классная (в свой плейлист "для вайба" однозначно добавил), сюжет интригующий и диалоги +- интересные, хотя иногда тупо лишены смысла или имеют огрехи, своего рода, когда гг болтает с кем-то по телефону, и гг начинает думать про себя, что собеседник по телефону улыбнулся или почесал нос, как бл*ть ты понял?

Что я очень ненавижу в играх, так это намеренное растягивание сюжета под видом "Необходимости" тех или иных действий. Чем ближе в игре вы будете близки к разгадке сюжетной тайны, тем больше разрабы будут накидывать вам тонны бессмысленного текста с описание всех книг на полках которые видит ГГ, и сколько пылинок он видит в воздухе от света солнца. Это самое ублюдoчное, что можно в принципе делать в играх, не делайте так больше, пожалуйста ;(

Самое классное, это когда разработчики в течение всей игры задают герою и самому игроку кучу вопросов, пытаясь как-то развивать лор собственного мира, а в конце, тебя просто оставляют с философским референсом, не отвечая на значимые вопросы. Вставили бы ещё видос Озона со стрима с фразой "Ну вот и думайте теперь головой".

Несмотря на всё вышесказанное, игра определённо подарила эмоции и чувство хоть какой-то завершённости. Я рад, что игра пройдена, но в душе таки есть эта маленькая печаль от того, что всё это закончилось, ибо к персонажам успеваешь привязаться прилично.

У игры определённо есть багаж минусов, нереализованных механик и возможностей, но и плюсов здесь также достаточно.

Если не боитесь в какой-то момент задушниться и длинные текстовые диалоги вас не смущают - Берите, оно вам понравится.

В остальном - это явно не то, что я мог бы всем рекомендовать. Ставлю игре "Да" исключительно из-за приятных эмоций и неплохую попытку в Disco Elysium, у вас это не получилось, но было реально неплохо.

I do think a lot of the initial backlash that Rue Valley recieved was due to the comparisons to Disco Elysium, where it falls well behind in any category you care to name (except for having a time loop, score one for Rue Valley there)
But putting that aside and taking it as a point and click game, rather than an RPG (the stats are truly not relevant, aside from the insight they display when you get to see another persons stats impacting how they interact with the world) it's... alright.
Characters are pretty decent for the most part. Some feel a bit barebones.
But the mechanics leave a bit to be desired, specifically the way you can interact with, gain and complete quests and missing a lot of opportunity to play with the time loop itself. And your main character is kind of stupid and only willing to direct their energy in places they want to, even if theres the illusion of choice about an avenue forward, most of the time, there really isnt.

Quest issue; you lock in quests via spending inspiration points which you garner from finding joy in the world around you and completing tasks. Inspiration is spent on being assigned to the quest. Great, no issues with that aspect, I like rewarding the player for engaging in the world.
But theres some... weird restrictions on obtaining enough knowledge to make a quest solidify so you can spend willpower to act on it. I had a quest I knew i could initiate by talking to a guy. I could get myself into the same room as the guy but since it wasn't the right time, I couldn't interact with him at all.

Secondly, willpower. Acts as permanent Inspiration, but harder to come across. Essentially you only gain it when you process an overaching thought and improve yourself as a person. Which works thematically.
What doesn't work is that you can be truly stumped as to how to get the thought itself to appear, to work on and get the willpower.
I thought i was softlocked in the second act due to this, until I lucked out and clicked on a random item in a random room that happened to be a marker for the thought i needed to get the third willpower.
Either we needed better signposting of things to investigate, there need to be more willpower in the game so that you didn't need every bit to get the good ending or it perhaps one could be tied to simply using enough inspiration, as getting that source of enjoyment and power to engage in the world over and over, learning how to gather that from the world is in itself an improvement in the characters personality.

Character intelligence is also its own issue. There were two times in particular that it was really frustrating.
Reading an instruction manual, I saw the solution in the text, but the character did not. Despite going and attempting the action that would solve the issue, because the character didn't see it, they didn't take said action. That's fine but don't show us the solution then. If both the character and I don't see the way forward, there's no issue.
The second one was much more egregious. Searching for a specific character, with some important bits of info about when they were last seen, what direction they were heading and their health later lets you make an immediate assumption about the location.
The character does not make this immediate assumption, which is fine. But then spending 40 odd minutes montaging searching 'everywhere' and being depressed about the failure was infuriating.
It's like if you were looking for milk and the character looked everywhere but the fridge.
It might not be there but it's the first place you would think to look and it's insane to search the rest of the house, then give up first.

This ties into the issue with what Eugene will and won't bother with.
Eugene will spend a montage of loops searching a location for a specific thing (twice!)
Eugene will spend a montage of loops teaching themself a specific one use skill
Eugene will, at player discretion spend A LOT of loops reading two books and playing videogames.
Eugene will not, unless you spend pointless loops trying to talk them down, look at ways to get into a room without greviously harming an innocent bystander. No option for multiple attempts at phsyical submission, no option to find the codephrase they were wanting, as far as I know.
This seems wildly out of touch of the nature of time loop stories, why so willing to spend the time only on one particular approach.

I just walk away, wishing it was better.

Are you still with me, Mr Harrow?

I discovered this game via Next Fest and could see it had a Disco Elysium vibe to it, so I installed and played through it. "Pretty good" were my initial thoughts, kind of Groundhog Day meets Disco Elysium, so I wishlisted it and bought it on release.

For whatever reason it sat in my library unplayed (I mean, let's be honest, we all have a pile of games like that!), until about 2 weeks ago when I figured I'd sit down and play it.

I just finished up the game, and I have to say it's one of the best games I've played in a while. I was thoroughly engaged with the story and the characters right throughout. At first I thought I'd picked a completely broken personality build, but other than a few check failures I got through just fine. I was rarely stuck on figuring out what to do next and didn't have to look up any guides. My compliments to the dev/design team for fitting everything together so well.

I very rarely write any reviews for the games I play, but seriously, this one is worth your time and money. I don't recall seeing it mentioned much at all in any of the news sites I follow, which is a damn shame, as there's a lot to love and I'd recommend this game to anyone who loves a good, engaging story a cast of flawed, but likeable characters.

Хороший нарративный Point&Click, главное что надо понимать – это не РПГ и не диско элизиум.
Игра рассказывает проработанную и интересную, но строго линейную историю героя, который попал во временную петлю на сеансе психотерапии. Ощущение петли передано отлично) моннотонность, цикличность и бэктрекинг работают на 100%.

В игре вас ждёт много рефлексии, самокопания, немного юмора и практически никакого геймплея, но это не особо минус для чисто нарративного приключения, просто важно понимать что это за игра и что она может дать.

Вообщем, игра хорошая, но не ждите от неё рпг, немного обидно за разработчиков, что было такое позиционирование до релиза, все сравнивали именно с диско и игра сразу многим поэтому не зашла.

这款游戏属于那种优点和缺点都很明显的游戏，需要对电波。
玩完最大的感受就是这是一款沉浸式模拟游戏，在美术、文本、（对剧情没有影响的但是我非常喜欢的用于提升代入感的）超高选项自由度、音乐、氛围烘托、剧情走向把控等方面很用心，能看出制作人员精心的打磨，全部都是为了创造出一种非常沉浸式的《土拨鼠之日》的体验，和看电影那种只是旁观不一样，这游戏玩到后面真的能让玩家身临其境地体会主角心怀希望、动力十足地四处探索、在循环中的那种绝望、被迫进入“活在当下”的心境的过程，还有对不同NPC的喜欢，对心理医生的信赖等等情感，真的是自然而然地会跟主角同步。尤其是如果玩家也有过糟糕的人生经历——不一定跟主角一样——但是大家都能体会过那种颓唐的状态，代入感会更高。另外虽然任何一个社畜想必都能共情“被限制在重复的日常”的那种恐惧吧。总之就是能对上电波的话真的很沉浸。
不过这游戏属于那种细节拉满框架拉跨的游戏。很别扭，怎么说呢，从剧情上来开接近悬疑游戏——确实前三分之二都是悬疑游戏剧情，到处打探人际关系、搜索信息、拼凑碎片、解开谜团，如果把那个思维导图页面去了，换成更开放式和引导更好的UI其实有点像《鲁特里一家死了》——但是玩法呈现出来又是往角色扮演的方向（而不是悬疑游戏的方向）做的。但是说是悬疑吧主角查来查去最后啥也没查明白，而且限制于剧情走向，主角的很多行为都缺乏逻辑，能看出制作之在用力填坑了但是还是有不少漏网之鱼，这点好多测评都提到了，在剧情这方面就是一坨。
说是沉浸式模拟和角色扮演吧，沉浸式模拟游戏倒是不那么太在乎精彩的主线剧情，但是你得有高自由度吧，你得把角色写得深刻动人吧。但是这游戏表面上做了花里胡哨的性格系统啦、高自由度模拟啦，但是实际玩起来又是那种一本道的单向剧情，感觉像是立项的时候策划一拍大腿“我们做高自由度！参考游戏有ABCDE，做出来肯定牛！”吹得天花乱坠然后实际开始做了发现小公司完全无法驾驭这么复杂的题材但是框架都已经搭好了只能硬着头皮接着做什么自由度不自由度的总而言之至少把故事讲完——做出来的那种东西。开局让你点性格点，实际上对剧情走向屁影响没有。表面上是个开放地图哪里都能去，实际上必须跟着剧情走，在不正确的时间去别的地图触发不了东西。NPC有性格有背景有剧情，其实写得也都还可以，但也就是还可以，稍微有点触动你的那种程度，但是下一个循环他们又忘得一干二净（倒是还原循环里该有的那种空虚），怎么说呢，就是距离从NPC跨越到“真的触动人的角色”缺乏和玩家相处的时间长度，所有NPC的故事都是在1~2词对话里他们突如其来的一大段独白之后就结束了，甚至又好几个NPC也不知道是最后来不及写了还是纯粹充数用的，都没什么展开。
总而言之就是很别扭一个游戏。美术很棒，能对上电波的话文案也很棒，但是框架搭得不好。
另外还要吐槽一点，你是说一个选项有超高自由度、开局能改主角性格的游戏，却不让选性别？？我请问了？这游戏主角又没语音，换个模型换个头像的事情，做个女主控要了制作组的命吗？
还有，虽然我个人其实蛮喜欢罗宾、莱丽、Max、阿妮塔、医生等npc的，但是其实这游戏也属于那种“女角色美得千姿百态男角色丑得千奇百怪”那种游戏，说难听点明明是个2026年的欧美游戏有时候却散发着蜜汁昭和日本老头儿的臭味。虽然说没有感情戏吧，但是很明显所有女角色都各有风情、身材优越、年轻貌美或者活力四射；但是男角色不是秃就是肥，要不就长得像住在垃圾堆里刚化人还没来得及洗澡的耗子精。甚至还有男主做梦梦到自己年轻时美女贴着他热舞然后他下半身起立的剧情，制作组代入谁了我不说。所以这游戏其实登味儿也还挺冲的，不是那种男女玩家都能获得平等体验的游戏。我的差评主要给在这方面，很削弱代入感，除了恋爱游戏之外，所有让我感觉制作人写着写着突然就把裤子脱了（或者一开始就露着）然后开始向全世界嚎叫他自己xp的游戏我通通都很难给得下去好评。

Kiedy zaczynam nową grę, zazwyczaj przed upływem dwóch godzin rozgrywki jestem w stanie stwierdzić czy będę chciał ją skończyć, w przypadku Rue Valley dałem się oszukać. Jakieś 6 pierwszych godzin było interesujących, mimo że szybko zdałem sobię sprawę, że nie jest to coś czego oczekiwałem ciekaw byłem jaki będzie finał. Potem było tylko gorzej. Wszystkie wady gry, zarówno techniczne jak i fabularno-narracyjne uwypuklały się z każdą kolejną godziną ale gdy mozolnie parłem na przód co jakiś czas odkrywałem ciekawego, kolejną wskazówkę, kolejny trop, kolejną obietnicę, że koniec jest już blisko. Zazwyczaj nie znajduję powodów by zmusić się do przebrnięcia przez jakikolwiek tekst kultury, który mi się nie podoba, ale mając na uwadzę temat i fabułę, która momentami rezonowała z moimi doświadczeniami potraktowałem tę grę jako lustro, a rozgrywkę przeniosłem na poziom meta i dobrnąłem do końca. Koniec ten był na niższym poziomie rozczarowujący, ale na wyższym poczułem satysfakcję i wolność, której nie dane było zakosztować głównemu bohaterowi.

Und täglich grüßt der Therapeut, den dies ist ein sehr tiefsinniges Spiel auf das man sich einlassen muss und dafür hat man jede menge Zeit, schließlich steckt man in einer Zeitschleife fest...

Das Spiel beginnt damit das wir unseren Charakter erstellen, also Stärken und Schwächen, dadurch erhalten wir einzigartige Optionen während uns andere verwehrt bleiben, das gilt für Dialoge und Handlungen und erhöhen enorm den Wiederspielwert.

Schnell stellt sich raus das wir 2 Probleme haben das erste ist das wir wegen unser zahlreichen Probleme zu einer Therapie verdonnert werden und alles andere als motiviert sind und das zweite ist eine Zeitschleife die weniger als 1 Stunde dauert.

Während wir also versuchen herauszukriegen was die Zeitschleife verursacht und was wir dagegen machen können, erkennen wir unsre Probleme, meist nach Dramatischen Erlebnissen und arbeiten in der Therapie daran, wir erlernen sogar Techniken die uns helfen oder erhalten neue Motivation.

Apropos Motivation, in der Zeitschleife durchleben wir alle Phasen der Motivation, von Neugier über Kapitulation und Resignation zu Hoffnung und lernen dabei Menschen in all ihren Facetten kennen.

Eine einzigartige und tiefsinnige Spielerfahrung, lasst euch nicht von den langen Dialogen, von denen ihr alle lesen müsst, abschrecken, es lohnt sich alle mahl und bald werden ihr das Spiel nicht nur Spielen sondern euch so fühlen als würdet ihr diese Erfahrungen machen.

Absolut empfehlenswert, auch für Leute mit Physischen Problemen!

Любители почитать разочарованы не будут, над игрой работало целых две команды графоманов: сербским помогали русские из Owlcat Games. Букв действительно много, а ближе к концу количество психоаналитического базара начинает зашкаливать — с другой стороны, сценарий-то как раз про него.

Параллельно душевным метаниям главного героя идёт сюжетная ветка, совмещающая научную фантастику и бытовуху: город маленький, все друг друга знают, крупная корпорация жаждет всё испортить, много обид, заговоров и группировок. Для меня такой сеттинг, да ещё и проработанный, всегда является плюсом, тут аж платину выбил.

Если в Disco Elysium чуть ли не каждый диалог мог лихо развернуть ход повествования, то здесь всё относительно линейно: те стремления, которые должны увенчаться успехом, им и увенчаются. В таких случаях нам позволяют лишь выбирать эмоциональную оценку происходящего репликами категорий типа «Лихачество» и «Цинизм».

Минусы стандартные для проектов про временные петли: можно бесяче забуксовать из-за того, что протыкал все объекты, кроме единственного нужного, например, на определённой скамейке в жопе мира не посидел.

Рекомендую всем поклонникам комиксов, которым сами комиксы начали казаться глупыми.

С чего бы начать.....
У игры был просто огромный потенциал! Очень красивая рисовка (вдохновленная диско элизиумом), очень интересный геймплей с перемещением в петле, действительно прикольные персонажи, которые, по сути, связаны с травмами главного героя (далее гг)
НОООООО
Все это было выкинуто в трубу. Вместо того, [spoiler] чтобы интегрировать проработку травм гг в непосредственно процесс игры, нам запихнули несколько травматичных снов в СААААМЫЙ конец игры.[/spoiler] Просто кинули в нас огромным текстом, и сиди читай. Нет, ничего не имею против огромного текста, НО КОГДА ОН К МЕСТУ.
Вот просто к примеру: [spoiler] у гг есть травма связанная с отцом с деменцией. И в игрееее есть дед с деменцией. Ну вот как классно эти сюжетные моменты вместе бы соединились! Просто пазл! Но нет, мы просто нашли деда в шахте, и только через несколько петель нам кидают воспоминание гг о своем отце, при этом никак не связывая его с дедом. [/spoiler] И такого в игре полно!

Далее о навыках гг
Они зачем вообще были добавлены? Они зачем нужны были? Они воооообще никак не повлияли ни на сюжет, ни на самого героя (да, тут есть отголоски диско элизиума, где это сделано очень хорошо). Геймплей линейный, и навыки на него никак не влияют. Хочешь поерничать у доктора Финка? Ему ок. Отвечаешь ему спокойно? Ему ок. И так в процессе всей игры. И проверки этих навыков настолько редкие, что я вообще о них забыла, только сейчас вспомнила

Глобальный сюжет
По сути в игре есть несколько сюжетных линий, за которыми мы следим (всех имен не запомнила, так что напишу "кодовыми именами"): [spoiler] линия гг с его травмами, линия Френка с космо-любовью (главная), линия деда с деменцией, линия семейства из мотеля (вроде все) [/spoiler]
И вот то , сколько времени мы тратим на второстепенные ветки, при этом не зная, что они второстепенные и к основному сюжету не относятся - нонсенс
[spoiler] Сколько времени было потрачено на деда - ой как больно, хахахахаха. И мы в итоге ему не помогли)
Сколько потратили на даму в шляпе с ее барменом-кавалером - тоже мало приятного. [/spoiler] Пытаешься докопаться до основного сюжета - и каждый раз выкапываешь крота.

Короче, почему же так бомбит? Да как я и сказала в начале - у игры просто огромный потенциал! Ее бы подчистить, отшлифовать, доработать... Очень обидно разочаровываться, обидно столько играть, а в конце от скуки уже просто скипать диалоги, потому что.... ну вот зачем это все?

部分剧情很优秀，演出也做得比较有趣，但过于冗余的流程容易让玩家丧失探索欲，以及角色台词只有一部分有配音，加上经常重复的文案过于助眠...总体高开低走，史低价格可以浪费一点时间来品味，原价不值得。如果抱着极乐迪斯科代餐的心情玩懊悔谷会很痛苦；如果精神状态不佳游玩也会很痛苦。
另外，中文字体既没有很强的可读性，又与游戏调性不符没有观赏性，换成英文阅读体验更好；优化似乎不怎么样，如下配置占用率能到70%。

我知道这不是一部有精彩剧情支撑的游戏，即使到最后它也没有讲清楚主角陷入时间循环的原因。
但它对我有更特殊的意义。游玩这部游戏的时候我正在渡过一段非常艰难的时期，游戏里那些悲伤的，压抑的，无力的，燥郁的感觉，那些精准的形容与描述，确实给予了我治愈。我尤其喜欢这一句[spoiler]“当你像只被逼到角落的老鼠，炸着毛，龇着牙时，你根本不会有时间思考，更别说做梦了。”[/spoiler]简直就是我当时生活的判词，这种共鸣带来的治愈真的触动了我的心灵，所以我依然会推荐其他人去试试《懊悔谷》。

While it doesnt reach the heights of Disco Elysium, i really enjoied playing this game and the story of almost all the characters. It can be repetitive or annoying at times but i would say it is worth it expecially for the therapy sessions and the dream sections which can be truly therapeutic. The biggest complaint i have is with the voice acting, there is not enough of it, there's no va for your inner monologue, no va for 60% of all the dialogues in game, just a shame honestly BUT for what it is i think is a pretty cool game. 4/5

对上电波了，感觉还不错。感觉比较适合能接受非常慢的叙事节奏、看剧情关注情感多于逻辑的玩家。
喜欢剧情的氛围塑造，节奏比较慢，但现版本整体上我觉得没有什么重复的感觉。两段蒙太奇动画我非常喜欢，比较长但是感觉能通过每个循环的渐变让我体会到主角心境的剧变。第一次听到宇航员的录音的部分以及结局演出也很有表现力。
梦和解梦的剧情非常有意思。
美术风格整体我并没有特别喜欢，但是场景中对光的运用很有氛围感。
中文本地化整体也还不错。

不足也还是有一些的，牧场的那条线有点偏长，和其他几条线的联系也不够紧密，要是能精简一些就好了。同样跟巅峰矿业联系紧密的垃圾佬剧情为什么就那么少？主角到处偷听别人对话却听不了垃圾佬的关键线上会议有点反直觉。
后期律师的电话也有一点烦人，能询问律师的问题似乎都集中在前期，希望能给他添加多一点后期任务的相关对话。
引导还是差了点，没找到任务触发条件就像无头苍蝇。而且有些对话对主角已知信息/已完成任务的判定还是不够，比如删视频的时候没播放删完却知道自己删了啥。
能影响性格加点的状态太少了，似乎一开始就定下来了这位主角有哪些判定能过，并没有像提示的那样能通过行为比较大地暂时改变加点。
不知道制作组后期还有没有更新的想法，总之还是非常感谢制作组在小众品类上做出的努力，整体还是非常喜欢，史低买的感觉很值。

Позвольте начать с важного вопроса: я одна медленно сходила с ума от каждого звонка оператора? Во мне зародилось непреодолимое желание вычеркнуть его из этой вселенной. Как же он раздражал каждую мою петлю! Не подскажете, требуется ли мне запись к доктору Финку?

Но если говорить серьёзно, игра мне очень понравилась. 47 минут - много это или мало? Что вообще можно успеть за такое время?

Игра абсолютно не показалась мне затянутой или утомительной (если не считать вышеупомянутого субъекта). Мозг без труда понимал, что делать и где искать. История и герои интересные, все переплетены между собой, и ты судорожно носишься от одного к другому, пытаясь ухватить очередной кусочек правды.
Лёгкое утомление я ощущала лишь в паре моментов. Например, когда читала инструкцию к электронным замкам - впрочем, возможно, это объясняется тем, что я играла с утра до ночи без остановки. Некоторые диалоги тоже могут показаться непростыми - особенно разговоры с доктором - разборы снов. Но сложность здесь не недостаток: просто не стоит торопиться и бездумно проматывать текст. Нужно остановиться и по-настоящему задуматься над тем, что хотят до вас донести. Думаю, игра особенно понравится тем, кто неравнодушен к психологии. А вот совпадает ли ваше мнение с мнением героя или доктора, это уже другой вопрос.

Хотелось бы больше таких игр. Спасибо за отлично проведённые 20 часов!

制作组美其名曰“蒙太奇”，实际上把无法跳过且无实际意义的寻找动画强迫玩家观看，借此凑时长。

完成牧场任务，在一段还不错的换人演出后，游戏进入了恶心人的超长循环，此期间无法和任何NPC有新的对话，也没有任何新发展，只能重复完成三个对话一模一样的的任务，我在这里坚持了两个小时，决定退出这个游戏。

纵观整个游戏体验，从退款时间过了开始，游戏的任务设计、剧情、交互量等等，体验严重下滑。

Я просто не могу верить главному герою. Он хочет выбраться из петли? Ау, каждый раз события обнуляются и всё начинается вновь - так начни, дубина, взламывать, ломать, допрашивать, использовать прошлые знания. Ограничение возможностей, софтлоки, топорность, претенциозность, скучные персонажи, унылость, отсутствие чувства прогресса и нелогичность просто доконали. Это может и диско-like игра, но фанам этого импровизированного поджанра игр я такой продукт вот вообще не советую.

В первые пару часов это интересно но увы, дальше приходится терпеть специально затянутый сюжет заставляющий тебя просто раз за разом делать одни и те же вещи исключительно для хронометража. Концовка не объясняет ничего, ваши действия не влияют ни на что, никаких ответов, никакого просветления персонажа и его перемен, билд вообще ничего не решает, только опции диалога, которые опять таки тоже ни на что не влияют. Жаль не могу оценить сколько времени потрачено, ибо на сутки оставил игру включенной дабы не выходить посреди долгого и нудного прочтения документов (сохранить нельзя в моменте). Держало только желание узнать причину событий и исход, но как говорится мечтай в одну руку...

Игра отличная, но требует определённого настроения. Её самое то проходить, предварительно выспавшись и сделав все дела, чтоб не отвлекаться в дальнейшем.
При том, что история интересная и местами неплохо поставлена, вариативности как таковой в ней мизер. Механика "намерений" больше стопорила игровой процесс, т.к. до большинства доступных опций ты доходил умом изначально, а уж потом наматывал петли, проверяя скрипты на доступ к этим опциям. Эти же "намерения" частенько вносили сумбур в схему действий, т.к. идя к одной цели, часто приходилось кардинально разворачиваться ворочать другую цель, потому что игра так решила, Так же расстроило то, что вариантов взаимодействия с персонажами при нахождении новой информации почти что нет. Типа- СПОЙЛЕР- у тебя нет возможности подойти к Робин и в лоб спросить, чего она тут жизнь просаживает, или сказать недоумкуАлексу о том, что знаешь, где Старик Уолтер, или Райли о всех своих изысканиях. Грубо говоря, никаких изменений в мир игры в рамках одной петли ты привнести не можешь и по итогу самой игры не меняется ничего за исключением разрыва самой петли. Не буду сетовать на отсутствие ответов на главные вопросы, всё-таки не каждое произведение искусства должно эти ответы предоставлять. Однако здесь это казалось более неуместным, хотя, если представить, что автор просто не смог толково обосновать события и решил оставить их под знаком вопроса, докапываться к нему я бы не стал.
Игра мне понравилась.
p.s. И да- с Диско Элизиумом её сравнивать не надо от слова совсем. И думать забудьте, запуская Рю Вейли. ДЭ- полноценная камерная рпг, а РВ- изометрический камерный квест.

Обычно я вообще не пишу отзывы, но но так сам из-за смешанной оценки почти пропустил игру -
не могу промолчать.
Мне кажется, проблема во многом в ожиданиях: из-за стилистики многие, похоже, ожидают полный аналог Disco Elysium, и это действительно не он. Тут нет сцен конфликта внутренних голосов (хотя сами мысли ГГ, как отдельный персонаж - есть, но ему оооочень не хватает озвучки); выдуманного мира, который интересно изучать.

Что тут есть:
неплохая история, затрагивающая множество персонажей
механика самокопания, в которой конечно, каждый себя узнает
временная петля, с которой надо уживаться

Если не не слишком завышать ожидания и за массовое внедрение данного жанра игра - лайк.

Фух... прошёл игру и могу сказать так.

Она мне больше понравилась, чем нет, но игра... не ровная.

Начнём с самого главного.

ЭТО НЕ DISCO ELISYUM

Это игра про временную петлю и обычного человека с ворохом проблем, который застревает в ней.

Если брать целиком сюжет и скинуть с него всю шелуху, то он неплохой. Всё-таки, тебе хочется узнать, чем закончится вся эта история.

Также порадовал арт дизайн, он очень приятный, местами есть крайне неплохие музыкальные темы (финальная песня в конце, песня в исполнении Аниты и металл в комнате Алекса)

И... скорее всё.

До ключевых точек сюжет надо добираться пробираясь сквозь тонны текста, побочные истории и прочее. Причём воды достаточно много, из-за чего крайне тяжело. Но ладно бы текст.

Самая основная проблема игры, малое время петли и очень много переходов, лишних или же повторяющихся действий, из-за которых тебе приходится страдать наравне с главным героям, порой доходя до бешенства.

Сокращение этих переходов, пропуск некоторых действий и другие мелочи, помогли бы улучшить качество жизни, но имеем, что имеем.

Также, у игры почти нет выбора. Да, мы можем раскидать характеристики героя, выбирать разные фразы, но они скорее влияют локально, очень локально. Тобишь, если вы будете проходить второй раз, вы почти не заметите каких-либо изменений.

Rue Valley, это неплохая история, которая пытается маскироваться Диско-Лайком, причём по первым часам, вы даже ей поверите, но потом она вскроет своё истинное я и оно далеко не всем понравится. Она может увлечь вас, вы можете почувствовать и что-то осознать, через призму и проблемы главного героя, кто-то из персонажей может вам понравится и даже запомниться.

Но она скорее оставит горькое послевкусие, не смотря на все попытки.

Я говорю этой игре да, но с натяжкой. Вы можете попробовать, но это история на один раз.

Rue Valley is quiet, existential, and undeniably sincere. There are moments here that are so genuine and heartwarming that are worth experiencing. That doesn't mean there won't be hurdles in your playthrough. Life isn't frictionless, far from it, and Rue Valley mirrors that. Real growth can be monotonous and uncomfortable, but that doesn't mean it's not worth every second spent.

If I could offer a "middle" recommendation, I would. The game starts strong with a great premise, moody vibes and definite inspiration from the greats of the genre. Exploration is fun and the "self-chosen quest" mechanics intriguing.

Unfortunately though, it devolves into a very linear, mindless section in the middle where you're stuck basically just clicking "next". There are no meaningful choices, no way to guide your character towards a better outcome, no quests to result in a better (or even different) direction. You're just stuck and it gets seriously frustrating -- maybe such an emotional response was the goal, but it doesn't result in good gameplay; the pseudo-jungian psychobabble didn't resonate much with me either, though I'm sure it would with others.

Towards the end, the game gets back on track with a couple fresh new locations and interactions, as well as the emotional ending which, while predictable, was still satisfying. I can't shake the feeling though that originally the plan was for a vastly more complex narrative (including multiple player-controlled characters, which is hinted at at the very end) but they were all cut due to a lack of time/funding/etc.

Good attempt, but it remains "mid" despite the great potential -- or perhaps, because it failed to realise it.

Если в двух словах и без мата, то это "просто говнище", засофтлоченная помойка с отсталым сюжетом, который написан как будто бы по большей частью нейронкой, почти все сюжетные ходы считываются и уже понятно что нужно сделать, но сделать это ты не можешь, пока не перещёлкнешь скрипт в каком-то обоссаном диалоге/предмете. Причем даже это работает криво, в одном моменте можно представиться персонажу чужим именем, он тебе поверит, и в этой же петле ты обращаешься к нему второй раз и он общается с тобой как будто вы не говорили 3 минуты назад...

Сравнивать это с Disco Elysium'ом - неуважение к DE...

Графика: прикольно, но они даже разные текстурки туалетов решили не делать, хотя локаций не то, чтобы много

Если эту игру оценивать по 10 бальной системе, то это 2/10

As many others, I came here looking for a "spiritual successor to Disco Elysium", and as someone who genuinely enjoyed absorbing the writing of that game I ended up not being able to last more than an hour and a half in this one

I then promptly forgot about this game, and honestly would have completely forgotten to even write a review, if a demo for yet another “spiritual successor to Disco Elysium” hadn’t recently been dropped. I even had to spend some time remembering the name of this game just to find it again

From what I can recall about Rue Valley, the most memorable thing is the awful motel receptionist waiting segment. It wasn’t funny, it didn’t make any sense, it was just a torture in a bad way. Locking my available actions so that the only way to skip time was to play that mind-numbingly pointless phone game was a terrible decision

And special thanks for the stat system. If you make your character Introverted and Emotional, it effectively acts as a permanent debuff. It didn’t let me play the game in a different way - it simply penalized me, locking me out of many actions with no meaningful upside due to an uninformed character creation choice. It felt like selecting hard mode by accident. Thanks, but I don’t need a reminder that I’m already living on hard mode IRL

Zdecydowanie gra dla ludzi, którzy mają czas i nastrój na czytanie. Nieźle napisana. Depresyjna. Z fajnymi, prozaicznymi postaciami, z którymi łatwo się połączyć emocjonalnie. Сюжет: играем мы за Юджина Харроу, которого отправили на терапию в мотель в пустыне, и попал он во временную петлю, из которой и выбирается всю игру.

Чё по графену: графика приятная, напоминает Disco Elysium.

Чё по музыке: и без игры здорово слушать.

Че по оптимизации: у меня не было ни багов, ни вылетов, были просадки ФПС в некоторых местах, но не критично.

Чё по геймплею: в начале игры вам нужно распихать "навыки", с которыми ваш персонаж будет начинать каждую петлю. Я играла за за бессердечного интроверта с отсутствием мотивации (гы, собственно, прям как в реале). Со временем в рамках петли они будут меняться, но после перезапуска вернутся в первоначальные. Есть карта воспоминаний, в которой нужно формировать намерения (из очков вдохновения, получаемых либо от исследований, либо из разговоров с жителями), которые будете пытаться выполнить (я некоторые успешно провалила). Если вдруг застрянете, поковыряйтесь в этой карте - поймёте, что делать. А так, нужно ходить, разговаривать с персонажами, и пытаться достичь цели. Также в игре есть разные проверки навыков, большинство из которых у меня провалились))) В моём прохождении филлерных петель практически не было - на моей памяти всего две-три. Да и то в тот момент, когда я сама затупила. И с временем, отведённым на действия протагониста, тоже не было проблем – по большей части мне его было более, чем достаточно – мало было петель, когда времени оставалось дохренилиард – чаще либо всё впритык заканчивала, либо за пару минут до перезагрузки.

Про линейность: да, в целом, линейная (как-будто в этом есть что-то плохое). Но есть две концовки (судя по ачивам) – мне досталась хорошая.

Про затянутость: нуууу, у меня игра не вызвала такого ощущения. Моё прохождение мне больше напомнило следующее: ставишь цель и идёшь к ней малюсенькими шажками, иногда процесс прямолинеен, иногда меняется. Плоха ли такая «медлительность»? Да нет, на самом деле. Плюс игра с временными петлями – и спасибо разработчикам за то, что если ты потерпишь неудачу в одной, то вполне в другой можешь словить успех.

Спойлерная секция: [spoiler] как бы мне ни хотелось это признавать, но самый логичный вариант в том, что Юджин и Фрэнк - это один человек. Слишком много совпадений.[/spoiler]

Общие впечатления: мне было интересно, плюс разработчики постарались раскрыть персонажей - кого-то через предметы, кого-то через диалоги - как по мне, справились в целом успешно. Ну и драмы тут прилично. И посмеяться есть где. Ничего не ожидала от игры, а увидев смешанные отзывы, повременила с покупкой, но хорошо, что по итогу купила и прошла - мне понравилось всё. Кому-то конкретно рекомендовать я не могу - тут, скорее всего, нужно, чтобы игра попала в настроение. От разработчиков буду ждать следующую игру.

Узнала об игре случайно из видео на ютубе, даже там было полно негативных комментариев, но игра все равно зацепила: и сюжетом про временную петлю, и атмосферой, и ироничными внутренними монологами. Играть было довольно приятно, по началу, конечно, сравнивала игру с Диско Элизиум, но где-то после часа игры меня так затянуло, что вообще забыла о всяком сходстве между ними.

Из позитивного: Меня зацепили персонажи, очень живые, разные, все со своими историями (и я теперь хочу на прием к доктору Финку...), и озвучка классная. Приятная комиксная прорисовка. Сама механика временной петли тоже понравилась, мне кажется, весь смысл именно в том, что времени катастрофически мало и приходится раз за разом возвращаться в одни и те же места, слушать одни и те же диалоги, думать о том, как тебе все это надоело, а потом радоваться новым репликам как никогда в жизни). На всякий случай не хочется спойлерить, но сюжет хорош, было правда интересно пробовать разные выходы из ситуаций, нехотя сдаваться, перебирать диалоги со всеми возможными персонажами, открывать новые локации. К слову, исследовать городок в первый раз было очень атмосферно, ходишь и читаешь все описания предметов, гадаешь, что происходило в этой локации до тебя.

Минусы, конечно, тоже есть. У меня, например, после прохождения осталось минимум 2 персонажа, чьи истории мне показались не такими прописанными, как хотелось бы, может, это я чего-то не нашла или так было задумано - не знаю. Видела, что многие пишут про затянутость - лично я назвала бы это по-другому, опять таки, может, это в моем прохождении так получилось, я, если честно, не поняла, можно ли было по-другому, но в один момент диалоги с одним персонажем просто сваливаются в кучу. Ты начинаешь петлю, читаешь длинный почти философский диалог, заканчиваешь петлю, потому что делать в ней больше нечего и делаешь все это снова, но уже на другую тему. Это, пожалуй, эпизод, который мне показался самым утомительным, хотя до него мне нравились эти диалоги, возможно, если бы они плавно растянулись по всему прохождению, такой реакции не было бы. Более мелкие огрехи: некоторых персонажей гг называет по имени до того, как мы это имя узнали; опция диалога один раз появилась до того, как гг задался целью поговорить на эту тему; озвучка резко пропадает посреди диалога, хотя не уверена, баг это или фича.

Лично я была рада провести время в этой игре, мне кажется, что любителям тематики временных петель понравится. Надеюсь увидеть дальнейшие проекты разработчиков))

This is more a visual novel than a game, as that it should be approached and you wont be disappointed. Very linear though hiding linearity, great graphics and sound design, you cannot get stuck. I hoped for meaningful choices and consequences but never mind, it is just another kind of game. Recommended.

I beat the game. The beginning was pretty fun, especially for some one like me that likes point and click adventure games. Some where around the mid way point though you kind of get into this funnel, where despite being a time loop game, your on a very linear path. I guess in a time loop game I'd want to be able to experiment more. The ending for me wasn't particularly satisfying. Just like in the ground hog day movie they don't explain what causes the time loop, its kind of implied but they don't go into details. I could see they were trying to go for some Disco Elysium vibes with their personality picker but I don't feel they invested in that enough to be interesting.

Learned about the game half a year before the release, and was looking forward to trying it out. I made it till the end before the first massive update, and, to be honest, i am extremely surprised to see that many negative reviews. I understand that there are lots of people who were expecting Disco Elysium 2.0 with the full freedom of choices and multiple endings, but I believe that Rue Valley is a great story that we were offered to interactively dive into.

I absolutely LOVED everything around psychotherapy process. The dreams exploration and discussion mechanics is ultra cool (tbh I was able to explore only one, but I am planning to try the game out once again with the last patch to know more about what's going on in the main character's mind and to discuss it with Dr. Fink). And, of course, it is awesome that we have games popularising mental health care! (yes, the game might look like a didactic story, but I understand and share its moral so I wasn't bothered by this)

[spoiler] A few days after I made it to the end of the game, I realised that the space disaster in the game is a direct quote from the reality. Judy Reznik is not just a fictional character, but a real woman - Judith Resnik - engineer and astronaut, who died in the horrible space shuttle Challenger disaster on the 28th of January 1986. Caused by a fatal coincidence, the shuttle, launch of which was rescheduled several times, was blown to pieces approx in a minute after its takeoff, taking away lives of the whole crew.

Some people say this game starts off intriguing, but becomes boring. Those people are right.
Some people say the ending is rather disappointing and the gameplay is repetitive. Those people are right as well.

Why would I recommend this game despite all of this? Well, dear reader, let me explain myself.

This game is not an RPG (even if the "character creation" would have you believe otherwise). It's a narrative, and a very streamlined narrative at that. There's little in terms of gameplay, less still in terms of replayability. Instead, you are being told a story. And, if you treat it as such, it's a serviceable one.

The game made me care about it's characters. The protagonist, a deeply flawed man he is, the supporting cast of all kinds of strangers. They all feel human. And the game stirs some serious topics, like importance of therapy and dealing with your traumas. But there're very few (almost none) ways to interact with those elements of the game. No more than you interact with a book by turning it's pages.

And that's okay. These types of products have a right to exist. Hopefully, the developer gathers enough feedback to make their future stories more interactable. This is a great foundation to build a narrative-driven game that captivates you and, through iterative improvement (almost like in a time-loop), I believe they can do it.

So yes, dear reader, I'd recommend you give this story a chance when it's on a 50% discount.

Игра — полноценный курс психотерапии на 19 часов петель, каждая из которых будит личные переживания. Угрюм-Вэлли хочется перепроходить заново новыми глазами.

Механика с повторениями бесит не всех, но именно она вводит в отчаяние, усталость и привязанность к персонажам, раскрывая спектр эмоций. Ограниченное время учит ценить выборы. Тексты, комментарии и истории — не лишние, а триггеры для понимания психики героя. Русский перевод грамотный, несмотря на опечатки.

Визуал — шедевр: стильные мазки, выразительная анимация вдохновили меня как художника. Саундтрек, будильник, голос доктора — в голове надолго.

Это не игра, а зеркало души: повод осознать проблемы и принять помощь. Спасибо разработчикам за опрос и такую трансформацию!

Игра оказалась для меня полноценным курсом психотерапии, растянувшимся на целый месяц захватывающих вечеров. Девятнадцать часов прохождения более сотни сорокасемиминутных петель, каждая из которых вызывала шквал чувств и размышлений, не столь даже сопутствующих самой игре, сколько откликающихся личным внутренним состояниям. Я обязательно захочу пожить в Угрюм-Вэлли ещё разок спустя время, взглянув на всё новыми глазами.

Однозначно, механика игры со всем её ритмом, порядком и правилами, судя по немалому количеству негативных отзывов, отозвалась не всем, но даже шаг с изменениями в любую из сторон только помешал бы испытать весь спектр переживаний, которые подготовила для нас команда разработчиков. Игра не для развлечения, не ради ощущения приключения. И её глубины не поймут те, кто не пребывал в том состоянии, о котором весь её посыл. Каждая петля готовит игрока к разного уровня душевным движениям: от полной неопределённости вначале, побуждающей переворачивать каждый камень и слушать множество кажущихся поначалу бесполезными историй окружающих персонажей, к нарастающему любопытству, граничащему со страхом, вызывающими необходимость после поверхностного беглого взгляда начать изучать всё глубже, соединять все данные в единую систему, брать на себя разные роли, которые в совокупности все окажутся кусочками твоей личности. Именно так бесящие большинство повторения вводят даже абсолютно психически здорового человека в состояние отчаяния, усталости и беспомощности, которое и терзает главного героя. Именно факт ограниченного времени и осознание конца его цикла без возможности продолжения начатого заставляет так ценить выбор своих действий и намерений. Именно немалое количество повторных попыток взаимодействия с персонажами без их понимания происходящего заставляет так сильно к ним привязаться.

Для меня не нашлось здесь лишнего текста. Мысленные комментарии главного героя для каждого предмета выражали тонкости его характера и эмоциональной палитры, остальные персонажи также были наделены уникальными качествами, тонко выраженными в стиле речи, интересах, способах взаимодействия. И как это насыщала вдовесок озвучка! Русский перевод не обошёлся без опечаток, но всё же тоже грамотно смог передать основную суть. Всё то, что, казалось бы, отвлекало от основного сюжета, будь то книги, найденные на устройствах описания видео или фото, на деле являлось не только дополнительным обогащением игрового мира, но и определёнными триггерами, помогающими ещё лучше понять чувства персонажа, анализируя его реакции на информацию.

То, что первое меня привлекло и заставило купить игру после первых же пары минут демо-версии - конечно же, картинка! Невероятно стильная подача и в цвете, и композиционная - я наслаждалась каждым отрисованным мазком и штрихом, каждым кадром незамысловатой, но выразительной и динамичной анимации. Как художника меня невероятно вдохновила визуальная составляющая этой игры.

Всё это стилевое великолепие ещё больше украсило аудио-сопровождение: как саундтрек, так и отдельные звуки. Думаю, звук будильника, мобильного телефона и голос доктора ещё долго будут звучать у меня в голове, вызывая бурю эмоций.

В целом, конечно, это даже не игра в её привычном понимании. Это повод для игрока, который здесь больше является наблюдателем, взглянуть в глубины себя, проанализировать своё состояние, и, разыскав должный отклик, признаться себе в необходимости посторонней помощи. Это протянутая рука, ведущая нас вместе с главным героем от полного скепсиса в отношении к реальности своих проблем и к психотерапии в целом - к становлению на пути освобождения себя от собственноручно созданных оков разрушающих убеждений и ведущих в тупик зацикленных мыслей.

[spoiler] Ведь именно зацикленность главного героя на своих переживаниях и вызвала зацикленность времени и диссоциацию личности, о которой мы узнаём к концу игры - Юджин и есть Фрэнк, и с самого начала им был. Об этом исходе, кстати, догадались далеко не все, но в этом и есть главная прелесть этой игры. [/spoiler]

Отдельно хочу обратить внимание на опрос от разработчиков, который подчёркивает серьёзность их подготовки и вложенной серьёзности в проект. Спасибо создателям за такую красивую и интересную возможность с новых сторон взглянуть в недра себя и пройти внутреннюю трансформацию вместе с главным героем.

I'm writing the review after finishing the whole story. When I tried the demo, frankly I was bored and nearly made myself to play it. Ironicaly it seems that I in real life also had this trait "Lack of motivation", but still about 1 year later I saw it on the discount, so I decided to give it a second try and this time I had a lot of fun. Especially the first few loops were most interesting to me, when I slowly discovered new information about everything in the Valley. Unfortunately the gamplay in later story gets worse in my opinion, especially the part about [spoiler] checking the archive about Kay familily [/spoiler] was in my opinion, borring as hell. After that part things got more interesting again.

In summary, people often give this game a bad review because they compare it to the perfect Disco Elysium. This is not Disco Elysium. It might be a more or less similar in some aspects. But that's totaly different vibe and story. Personally, I enjoyed the game, even tho it's not perfect.
If you are a Disco Elysium player and you want a game with similar tone and style, don't buy it, you won't find it here. But if you want a game with similar mechanics but with totally different story, I'd say give it a try.

Получила огромное удовольствие от игры. Прошла до конца. Да, местами затянуто. Да, есть вопросы к сюжету, много. Но это же буквально современный постмодернистский роман, который вы найдете на любой полке любого книжного магазина, с теми же болячками и прелестями, просто в формате игры! Это меня подкупило. Играть было интересней, чем читать подобное. Юджин мне близок и я с ним резонировала. Послевкусие от игры прекрасное. Духовно игра дала мне больше, чем дала бы любая дофаминовая гриндилка. Хотела бы больше таких игр. 10/10.

So to get the bad side out of the way first, without spoilers: expect more of a visual novel style experience with a mostly linear progression after you get through the initial exploration. The writing is mostly top notch and I love the characters and especially your therapist. Would recomend if you have the time and the money, but I would not have this be your 'break the bank' game or what you're going to put down another title you're looking at for.

Now more details with some spoilers: I love the idea of a time loop game where you explore your character's depression and 'stuck in a rut' life via the time loop. I loved learning the timing of characters and how to move around the map optimally. The writing up until about the mid-game was amazing. But past the mid-game, there was a noticable drop in quality. Lots of lines unvoiced, some quests (especially getting Ben off the drugs by showing the lab lady the video of his emotional breakdown occuring less than a 100 feet from her) clearly just there to add time to the last act, and the time loop itself is never explained other than just 'a guy couldn't let go' and that somehow caused a time loop affecting you who was just standing nearby (the closest explanation I can cough up being spontaneous sympathetic magic in a setting that otherwise has nothing supernatural going on). So enjoy the early game, and then get through the rest. I don't regret buying the game at all or playing it, but definately read the reviews and temper your expectations.

Final statement: If they ever do a 'all the ♥♥♥♥ we wanted but had to cut for launch' edition, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Especially if it let you do a final golden loop where you get all the moments you helped people but lost to loop resets etched into the 'final' timeline.

The game's idea really hooked me, and I really enjoyed the first couple of hours. But as I kept playing, I felt that the experience was stretching. The dialogues became bland, and I stopped caring much about the characters and the story (which is a deal-breaker in an RPG with this amount of reading). I don't think the game is bad, but I understand that many may feel like it is lacking.

В общем-то игра мне понравилась, но чувствуется некая недосказанность в том, что как зачем и почему произошло. В итоге всё выглядит так, будто мы просто стали жертвой чужих обстоятельств.

По итогу то получается, что мы можем вырваться из петли только благодаря флешбекам, и причём я даже не шучу – По-умолчанию мы не смогли бы разорвать цепь, но оказавшись в воспоминаниях Фрэнка мы получаем возможность разорвать петлю... просто показав тому прощание его любимой, и как следствие понимание чувака, что нужно оставить прошлое.
Меня при этом смешит то, как наш протагонист говорил, что обыскал все уголки территории... И он ни разу не додумался спуститься тот карьер? Серьёзно? Ну ладно, но я думаю, что после обновления чекпоинта было бы хорошо добавить ещё всяких приколов при начале цикла в машине, аля "Как же я рад этому пропёрженному и дряблому креслу больше, чем тому комфортному дивану у того чёртового психотерапевта!".
Сам же наш персонаж, вне зависимости от навыков, ощущается как слюнтяй, ну а что больше меня взбесило – так это момент с попыткой в первый раз застрелить Алекса, которая является автолузом, и причём из-за кривой системы проверки навыков это выглядит комично смешно и вымораживающе бесяче, когда у тебя 5 очков на безразличие, но тебе в итоге не хватает безразличия, чтобы застрелить Алекса в первой схватке, поскольку полоска проверки навыка просто улетает куда-то в бэкрумс.

И нет, это даже близко не стоит с автолузом проверки в финале Диско Элизиум, когда нас гарантированно ранят в ногу – в том случае благодаря нормальной (И визуально приятной) системе проверки навыков ты не ощущаешь, что тебя шлёпнули пенсилом по щеке, а напротив – ты веришь, что реально провалил проверку. Вместе с тем в уже этой игре до больного смешно выглядят варианты ответов за того же Фрэнка, которые ты никак не смог бы выбрать из-за невозможности как-то поменять его очки навыков, что выгляд и смешно, и убого – как тот же момент в финале, где у нас есть вариант из-за импульсивности (Или чего, не помню) забить болт и поехать дальше... либо же сказать "Ой, я же механик – пойду и проверю", и этот вариант недоступен в любом случае, от чего чувство, будто бы его лучше бы не было: У нас нет никаких способов влиять на изменение очков у Фрэнка, да и ответ выглядел убогим, из-за чего ты просто не веришь в том, что могло бы быть как-то иначе.

Чёрт подери – если бы сделали, что в зависимости от нашего поведения и действий зависела бы концовка, но в таком случае у нас реально был бы ВЫБОР делать различные действия на грани, то это было бы просто замечательно.

И да, говоря ещё по прокачке – она унылая, и выглядит на самом деле как рудимент+костыль. От того, как и что мы сказали бы мало что зависит – в любом случае мы достигнем целей, и не срежем углы. Это касается и очков "Силы воли", которые при обычном прохождении ты дай бох используешь раза 3, не считая уже финальный сегмент игры. Из-за этого не хватает и чувства, что мы могли бы как-то использовать их с реальной пользой, в той же концовке. Что от количества полученных очков Силы Воли, и от их качества, мы могли бы выбрать одно из нескольких решений по тому, что делать в финале. Да даже если бы получилось так, что в финале мы конечно бы разорвали цепь, но у нас бы осталась последняя попытка сделать всё нормально, и в этом моменте мы могли бы вложить очки силы воли в то, что хотим сделать, дабы выжить.

И понравилась ли мне игра? Да, я считаю, что с довольствием провёл последние 13 часов, даже не смотря на все грехи, с которых я ловил по ходу прохождения лютые фейспалмы.

Not terrible, but disappointing.

I like time loop stories, and I like text-heavy story-driven games, so I went in with high hopes. And the game has a lot to like about it, including interesting characters, an interesting setting, and some good moments.

Although promising, the game ultimately mostly fails as a time loop game, for a few reasons:

1. Most of the mysteries and story arcs that the game presents either don't get resolved (e.g., why am I in a time loop), or get resolved in very unsatisfying ways (e.g., there's a missing person, and you eventually just find him somewhere random and nothing comes of it).

2. The characters and story elements, which the game tries to present in an interconnected web, don't end up connecting in meaningful ways, and there are a lot of loose ends and unnecessary detours.

3. The gameplay is extremely repetitive due to the way the time loop is handled. For example, you will watch the same animation of the protagonist walking from Point A to Point B over and over and over again.

4. The game mechanics are not used effectively in the service of the story. For example, there's an inspiration system where you have to get inspired by various events in order to attempt certain actions or pursue various ideas. This feels very contrived and annoying (just let me try what I want to try, don't tell me I'm not in the mood for it). There are some special events that drain all your inspiration and make it hard to do anything at all. You can easily get inadvertently routed into a bad ending by doing quests in the wrong order.

5. The game is presented as though you have a lot of free choice, but it's almost all illusory. The game is actually very linear. It will hint as though there are a bunch of ways to achieve a goal, but then it will force you to explore those ways one by one, find that they don't work, and then finally it will give you the one correct way in which it actually wants you to do the thing. This inflexibility is frustrating in a time loop game, which should reward experimentation and creativity.

A lot of these seem to be deliberate choices. The creators of this game seemed to want to use the time loop as a metaphor to tell us something about depression or a feeling of being stuck in one's life. Unfortunately they were so focused on this idea that they made the game depressing and tiresome to play. They were seemingly not interested in using the time loop as a vehicle to reward exploration or engender creativity, or in exploring what might be fun or exciting about being in a time loop.

Not a terrible game—there's a lot I enjoyed about it, especially when I first started playing it, and the basic gameplay is solid—but it was such a slog by the end that I can't recommend it.

It's not often I leave reviews, but it seems like a lot of the negative reviews came from before a big update meant to address the most common criticisms of the game.

Those criticisms are essentially this: The game was too tedious do to repetitive and unskippable cutscenes. They're technically still their, but the amount of your time they take up is IMMENSELY shortened from what I've seen. The biggest offenders are travelling between locations, and the "sunrise" and alarm clock between loops.

The latter is entirely inoffensive in my opinion, but I suppose used to be more of an ordeal. Now they act as a good short "breather" between loops to compose yourself--a good analogy for using an "anchoring routine" before tackling tasks you might struggle with bashing your head against. The former I suppose used to be much longer, but now get the tedium the *character* is experiencing across, without making the player *feel* that same tedium; A great balancing act to achieve.

The other common criticism I see... Honestly? I feel like the answer is "stop expecting games to be the same experience as another game, no matter how similarly they seem to be billed." I feel like players expecting this game to be "the next Disco Elysium"... Well, maybe perhaps aren't being entirely unfair given how obvious its inspiration is, BUT, Rue Valley also has a very distinct identity of its own. It explores similar themes, but through different methods. That difference in methodology is what separates the two, but in my opinion Rue has some absolutely BRILLIANT moments that highlight its own strengths and merits. Unfortunately, those moments are also big spoilers.

So I suppose all I can say here is, if you're expecting "The next Disco Elysium," you might be about as disappointed as people who went into The Outer Worlds expecting "the next New Vegas." At some point players fall victim to their own expectations. When taken on its own merits, Rue Valley is FANTASTIC at giving small, mundane moments a big emotional impact, and using its game mechanics to convey its emotional beats and narrative themes.
For those who've played the game, all I have to say is "Hold to Give Up", and there's a decent chance people will know exactly what moment I'm speaking of that is spectacularly exemplary in this regard.

Anyway. If tedium is the reason you might be shying away from this game, I'd urge you to reconsider as it now fits a space that conveys tone without particularly inconveniencing the player. If you're going in expecting a "Disco-Elysium-Like", you'll either be disappointed or charmed (like I was) depending on your ability to set aside anchoring bias and appreciate the places where it diverges. This game is a bit rough around the edges, but this game's most memorable moments for me are in the areas where it shines its brightest.

A nice story driven game full of emotions and introspection. I'd say it's worth the time for anyone who enjoys good stories but you'll have to keep in mind the key points I'm listing below:

The good: very well written story with a cool premise, good dialogues that flow naturally, full of emotions when we pay attention to the point that it managed to make me cry at one point and laugh at several others.

The bad: no player agency, you have to follow the story and go through the motions with it, I found myself figuring out so many things way ahead of time and waiting for the protagonist to catch up so I can do the actual actions, there were also a couple of ill paced key points in the story that broke the rhythm a bit.

But all in all, I enjoyed my time with it and I don't regret it at all.

Наверное, обилие негативных отзывов во многом объясняется обманутыми ожиданиями фанатов Диско Элизиума. Они ждали, что им дадут вновь, как в первый раз, пережить тот же игровой опыт. Но Рю Велли - это не Диско Элизиум. Она и не пытается им быть, несмотря на кажущиеся очевидными схожие внешние приемы. Если же рассматривать игру отдельно, не пытаясь натянуть на нее кафтанчик Диско Элизиума, то в целом это достаточно крепка работа. Есть неплохие решения, которые заставляют игрока ощутить временную петлю на себе, почувствовать то же, что чувствует герой. Есть и недочеты, в основном в темпоритмике - часто диалоговые окна ты просто скипаешь. Но в целом ощущения от игры положительные. Вы вряд ли будете ее перепроходить - я точно не буду. Но и о первом прохождении не жалею.

This game has beautiful art direction, an excellent soundtrack, and wants to have a meaningful discussion on mental health and therapy. This game is so very nearly good! And the discussion it wants to have is an important one!

If you go into this game expecting an RPG, don't, this is very clearly a point and click adventure game, that falls to pieces in the second half. Decision making is limited (Due to the premise of the game nothing you actually do matters) the A and B plots of the game never tie together in a particularly satisfying way, and the second half of the game is dominated by loading screens.

The games first half is strong, but the second half is such a let down, that I don't believe the first half is good enough to justify. I sat through it hoping it would pick up again and it did not.

"Не сравнивайте игру с Диско Элизиум и она окажется очень даже ничего", говорили они - бред

Геймплей крайне затянутый, если в начале темп повествования быстрый и тебе интересно узнать о персонажах, мире и тд, то потом это превращается в "потрать 10 петель на одну маленькую крупицу сюжета, повтори 100 раз". Спасибо, что хотя бы уже сделанные когда-либо действия не нужно повторять по тому же паттерну, что сокращает повторяющиеся диалоги
Проверки навыков сделаны как будто для галочки и только из-за того, что разрабы пытались косить под DE, достаточно было ветки прокачки, которая просто влияет на диалог, зачем усложнять то, что прекрасно работает 90% всей игры (есть шанс, что это не так в силу того, что игра была заброшена мной спустя 12 часов, но склоняюсь ко мнению, что все же это так)

Про сюжет ничего плохого сказать не могу, история вполне интересная, некоторые истории персонажей очень даже трогают, жаль, что уже нет сил перебороть геймплей и прочитать все самостоятельно
Визуал в стиле комиксов радует глаз, звуковое сопровождение тоже не подкачало, находиться в мире эстетически приятно

Итог: Игра могла быть хорошей, но рвение разрабов к большему хронометражу ее наглухо убило, не стоит потраченного времени

I completely get why the reviews are mixed. It is an amazing context with great visuals and an interesting story. If your sole consideration of buying this game is because it may look like disco elysium, don't, it's far from it. The whole character personality doesn't quite matter, maybe only in the beginning of the game and in rare occasions, which still doesn't have almost any impact apart from missing one dialogue line which 7/10 times i'd say will lead to the same scenario as in picking any of the diffrent option. But if you're buying this because you think the art style looks great, you like the whole scenario of the time loop (which includes a lot of repeating things) and also like hearing a bunch of random people yap for basically the whole time, then yes get it.

I was very put off by the negative reviews of this game, but I'm glad I ignored them any played it anyway, and I'll try and address some of the common themes I saw.

Let me start by saying I very much enjoyed the title - it's a great example of a time loop game, with an exploratory, walking novel style, rather than a point and click adventure game. I would say the closest thing it reminded me of was The Outer Wilds - not Disco Elysium that kept coming up as a comparison. There is obvious inspiration from DE, especially with some of the darker themes a few of the interactions, and of course being very narrative driven approach - but most of this is superficial.

I'm not sure where people got the idea that there were multiple endings, or that the decisions you made changed the outcome - this was never hinted at. However, I can understand the confusion as your character stats are never really explained.

The stats only seem to change the dialogue options available to you in the game and these just change the way you experience it - I don't think they have any real affect on the outcomes. When you also take into account there were a few things that could buff you (increase extroversion for example) - when opportunities came up that used these stats, there was no option to try again - so knowing about these buffs was fairly pointless, unlike DE where levelling up was a key mechanic in moving the game forward

Absolutely this should be played and explored expecting a linear plot and you should pick traits that perhaps align more with how you want the character to behave, to make it more engaging and relatable.

Many of the other complaints around pacing / travelling seem to have been fixed in the updates that came out after launch, and this complaint dominates the reviews and can be ignored.

I spent maybe the first 75% of the game absolutely glowing, looking forward to playing it each evening. And then it then it became really quite tedious - nothing but heavy text and no real problem solving, clicking through screens, kind of waiting for it all to finish. My hopes were raised with a twist to the game, but quickly back to more tedium. Unfortunately, I don't think that's something that can be fixed in a patch and it frankly felt a little self-indulgent. That said, the game did wrap up nicely and it doesn't erase the initial enjoyment I had.

Unlike a lot of PNC games, I didn't find myself stuck at any point - I always had a good idea of what to do next. There were however, a number of solutions that were bleedingly apparent and it was a little frustrating needing to jump through the hoops the game expected in order to move things forward. Additionally, there were obvious, alternative options that were not available. I can forgive both of these - minor complaints that I think most games are guilty of.

I didn't get on with the controller bindings - it wasn't always possible to interact with everything on screen. As I'm on a Steam Controller, I just used keyboard/mouse bindings, with 1-4 for quick dialogue selection. This plus the mouse cursor was a much nicer experience and I exported my template for Steam Deck users if you want that.

The last 25% of the game has swayed my opinion from a hard recommend to a recommend with that caveat, or maybe even a little neutral as I felt it was building to something that it never quite hit, but I'm sticking with a positive to review to help balance things outs, especially as there is a lot of good here.

Took me around 22 hours and at £12.49 at the time of writing, I don't think that's terrible value for money, for something that has likely had a lot of time invested into it.

懊悔谷的故事谈不上惊险刺激，在你不讨厌心理医生的前提下，总的来说还算吸引人。剧情节奏应该存在可以优化的地方，并且结局多少也有些仓促和交代不清。游戏过程充斥着大量的象征和解析，游戏的画面，操作系统和内心/梦境这一要素倒是结合得非常好。与极乐迪斯科不同，玩家其实没有什么需要选择，解谜，和操作的地方[spoiler]绝大部分选项你选什么都一样，包括一开始的点数分配[/spoiler]，与其说是rpg，整部游戏更像是一部可点击的[b]线性[/b]互动小说。

那缺点说完了，为什么我还愿意给这样一部作品好评呢？

我觉得最难能可贵的一点，作为一部以失败者为主角的游戏，整部作品并没有太多无病呻吟和心灵鸡汤。抑郁是抽象的，但懊悔谷里主角的失败和心理问题看起来是具象和真实的。主角没有浮于表象的厌世和负面情绪，故事也没有俗里俗气地让主角最后一扫阴霾走向幸福。没有俗套的好坏结局在我看来对这部作品非常重要，因为对于这个游戏想要讨论的主题来说 - 人生种种确有结果，但除了死亡以外没有结局。愿意认真探讨这一主题的游戏应该值得一个好评。人生不是只有新鲜感和英雄主义，重复，失败，和不圆满才是常态。那么人要如何在重复中寻找意义，要如何在生活的压力下面对抑郁？懊悔谷的故事给出了一些现阶段的我可以赞同的答案 - [spoiler]去寻求别人的倾听和帮助，去审视自己的内心，去关注过程，去接受失败，去允许自己逃离别人的期望，去放下没有完成的梦想。[/spoiler]

懊悔谷的故事对我来说象是一则现代都市寓言，[spoiler]空洞先生太聚焦于自己的过去和失败，终于有一天不可避免地陷入了心灵牢笼。对困在其中的空洞先生来说，周围人没有办法进入和体会。生活和琐事开始像西西弗的石头，完成只为了等待石头再次滚下和下一次循环。但空洞先生在循环中遇见一个特殊的人 - 他发现弗兰克超脱于循环。弗兰克好像有不同于常人的意志和一万个不能失败的理由，空洞先生不由自主地跟随弗兰克和他的计划，在无限的循环里探索另一个人生命的意义。空洞先生在循环里找到希望，失去希望，找到意义，放弃意义。但无论如何，空洞先生在无限的重复和追寻中逐渐开始审视自己的内心和心结，并且逐渐向愿意倾听的人打开心门。有着一万个不能失败的理由的弗兰克最终也失败了，甚至丢掉了生命，但空洞先生顿悟，放下执着的失败，离开循环牢笼的钥匙就会出现。弗兰克死了，空洞先生离开了循环，新的一天。[/spoiler]

Do not buy this game, im begging you. It is incredibly shallow, poorly made, unsatisfying, glorified visual novel that despite its lack of mechanical depth still manages to be confusing and infuriating. The most popular ending is unsatisfying garbage, the game very poorly communicates when dialogue options are/arent important, and the Dreams mechanic aswell as the willpower/inspiration points mechanic are somehow simultaneous underwhelming and deeply frustrating. If I had knew the game would be this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, I wouldntve spent $2 on it, much less $20. A generous final rating would put this game at a 3/10, utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage.

文字功底强劲（但是注水内容嗨多），画风也很米（指游戏内场景和建模，反而某些角色的美式插画有点过于粗糙了），音乐很绝，主页音乐和最后的ed都很喜欢。部分故事情节非常能调动情感（我绝对没哭！）
说说我不喜欢的点吧：
1、明显感觉收尾仓促，关于时间循环的原因结果完全没有头绪。总之就是挖了坑但是不填。部分人物的作用是？就感觉删了也不会有啥区别，换句话说这些人本该有剧情，或是没钱了或是赶工期，最终呈现出的观感就是缺胳膊少腿。（作为一款价格100+的游戏，流程时长也属实偏少了）
2、部分交互真的很反人类。比如操作Frank的手机时，已经读过的文本和心理想法会反复出现，真的很烦躁，很影响沉浸感；又或者某个需要特定节点的操作，必须要选暂时离开的选项才能顺利进行？？（真的很反直觉，第一次做那个部分的时候我循环了起码三次才做成功）
3、部分指引，信息更新有明显逻辑漏洞（我通过A路径看过了某内容，指引中的描述却跟我没看过一样；再通过B路径得到同样的内容，指引中的描述才正确的更新）。还有指向不明确，有个偏后期的地方完全没想过左边被小山挡住的地方还能走过去，按tab完全没发现这边可以交互，结果就在这硬卡了几十分钟最后实在没辙儿了去找实况才发现这里还有一小段看台。
4、很多需要“能力检定”的地方完全可以说是没什么作用的噱头，反而妨碍了我选部分想选的选项（而且很多小文本错过了就不能再互动了，全收集心痒这一块）。而且某些重复的内容真的太太太太多/久了，能不能给个按键加速动画啊？

总之瑕不掩瑜。虽然有很多小问题，但还算一段满足的游戏探险之旅。打折可以买来玩玩。注：想体验什么根据你的选项影响结局之类的网状叙事的别多想了，本作基本上可以说是线性叙事，中间乱七八糟的都是必经的小插曲

Despite some rough edges and shortcuts in terms of technical production, and a disappointing ending that leaves much to be desired, I enjoyed playing through this forty-seven minute time loop over and over again, partly because it very much guides you along the necessary path. Of course there’s repetition, but it’s not frustrating repetition, where you have to do the same tasks over and over again, just a tad differently to get a slightly alternate outcome as I have often experienced in similar games. Here you’re not aiming for that perfect run, you’re looking for all the pieces of the story puzzle, and when it comes to that, "Rue Valley"’s gaming experience and stylish presentation definitely succeed.

I have mix opinions about this game, but did enjoyed it. I tried to give it a chances seeing the negative reviews because I do enjoy games like these and don't mind if it is linear. I do feel like there is some serious problems with the game that is hard to ignore, but some positives.

- The stats at the beginning of the game is pointless and implies they will matter, but are more than flavor text at best at worse make you fail skill checks that don't matter. First the game incentivizes you to make a middle of the road character or blocks you from doing almost anything in the first half of the game. He is either neurotic or misanthropic. I understand the game mechanic is suppose to represent mental health but it really missed the mark. It just leaves you frustrated being denied from doing certain task or taking longer to do more task. Yet again it has no meaningful difference on the store. The major problem is I feel like it sets up the player thinking that the player will have a choice in decisions but that isn't true. I personally would just get rid of the stats in the game in general they don't really add too much to the game as well as the skill checks.

- Another issue is the time wasting and back tracking its not bad at first but as the game goes on it starts to linger and worsen the experience. I would say almost half of the run time is watching him either drive or walk in a transition from one map to the next. There is one part of the game about 3/4s where you loose complete control of the character and what feels like 30 minutes watching him go threw the same loop over and over again. I understand what the game was trying to demonstrate, but the point was made pretty clearly early on. Then right after you get control again the game ask you to go for a walk then a drive like he hasn't already done that the whole time and like I totally want to watch more of that. The main point is the game at times doesn't respect your time just so it can make a point that didn't need to be made.

- I will talk about the ending no spoilers but half of the players will get the bad ending for not getting enough will points. The game is not worth a second play through and you have no idea till its too late. I feel like this is the biggest sin of the game. If I got the bad ending after spending 10 hours of the game and my last save wasn't far back enough to correct I wouldn't pick it up again. I fortunately got the good ending, but still it just feels like another aspect of the game not respecting your time.

-I'm not going to go to far in the story but to say I enjoyed it and enjoyed the characters in it the town was fun exploring and learning everyone's secrets. Its everything you expect from a story based time loop game. I don't mind that its linear either. I think if your just focus on the story it's worth it. I do have to say it's not disco elysium and don't expect that. I still think the game is worth playing but with big issues. I recommend if its on sale and you like story based walking sims its not the worst but isnt the best over all like a 5 to 6 out of 10.

Nach ca. 11 Stunden habe ich das Spiel nun durch. Insgesamt hat es mir sehr gut gefallen, insbesondere die Story ist spannend. Wie ein Buch, das man unbedingt zu Ende lesen muss.

Das Spiel ist allerdings, anders als ausgewiesen, kein Rollenspiel. Ich glaube in diesem Irrglauben liegt auch eine hohe Anzahl der negativen Bewertungen. Rollenspiel findet nicht statt. Es gibt zwar am Anfang zu vergebene Charakterpunkte. Diese werden aber nicht ausgebaut und dienen ausschließlich der Dialogoptionen und haben keinen Einfluss auf das Geschehen! Es handelt sich um ein gutes Point and Click Adventure.

Vermutlich dauert ein Durchgang auch länger als 11 Stunden. Teilweise wird man vom Text erschlagen und ich habe aus meiner Sicht unwichtige Dialoge weggeklickt und nur überflogen. Hier hätte man durchaus kürzen können.

Nervig ist ab dem mittleren Spielgeschehen, dass sich Wege nicht skippen lassen. Man muss z.B. immer wieder eine Farm besuchen. Man verbringt mehr Zeit mit dem Weg dahin (Fahrt im Auto, Weg zu fuß), als einem dort für Ermittlungen - also dem aktiven Spiel - zur Verfügung steht. Insbesondere der Anruf um 20:15 nervt irgendwann einfach nur noch.

Enttäuscht war ich vom Ende des Spiels, also von der Auflösung. Hier habe ich erheblich mehr erwartet. Insbesondere weil das Spiel ansonsten nicht mit Informationen geizt. Und ich hatte das "richtige" Ende.

Insgesamt hat mir das Spiel aber sehr gut gefallen. Es ist interessant, man möchte immer weiter kommen und immer mehr erfahren.

Я заранее знал о проблемах игры, поэтому многого от нее не ожидал. Решил дать шанс. И большую часть времени мне нравилось в нее играть. Мне нравилась неторопливость, иногда загадочность повествования. Однако в конце уже проходил на морально-волевых. Подустал от игры, немного затянута, на мой взгляд. Концовка так вообще разочаровала. Ничего фактически не объясняет. Одного персонажа разработчики как будто вообще забыли зачем добавили в игру.

Думаю, что для сугубо сюжетной и повествовательной игры такое непростительно.

The game starts with a good mistery and I was really into it. The design is fantastic and the music was cool too. I was happy during most of the time playing the game, creating cenarios in my head, trying to connect the dots. BUT at the end everything fall's apart. Nothing was really explained, I finish the game without understanding the logic and the meaning behind what I did through the game.... It's a mess, plot holls, not a good narrative...

Brokes my heart to said this, because I can see that Rue Valley have a great potencial but didn't deleviery it and you will end up frustated and disapointed.

Ирония в том, что в первый же день героя мучает жажда, и он покупает воду в автомате. Воды в игре действительно много.

Rue Valley позиционируется как ролевая игра, вдохновлённая Disco Elysium и комедией «День сурка». От Disco Elysium здесь только стиль, а вот «День сурка» действительно присутствует. В игре много текста, порой бесполезного, который только растягивает её. Это настолько растягивает игру, что можно легко забыть о сюжете.

Правда, в некоторых случаях повторение действий сокращается, но это не спасает ситуацию. Игра перегружена лишней и не связанной с сюжетом информации. В конце, когда должен чувствоваться трагизм, я ощутила лишь облегчение от того, что всё закончилось.

если же не быть газонюхом и судить игру отдельно он Элизиума. то она однозначно того стоит

I really really wanted to like this. Openly stating making a game influenced by Disco Elysium obviously got my hopes up. But it's a shame to reference this masterpiece while releasing this game. Everything that made Disco a masterpiece they ♥♥♥♥ up in Rue. The first act was interesting but once you find out this game is linear af with no puzzles and no resolved story line you are just clicking forward hoping the game will end soon. When it ends and you find out almost all mysteries in it dont have an explanation you will just be pissed. Which will make you write this kind of review i guess. Have a nice day, just replay Disco Elysium.
