Remnants of Naezith, seni ilk dakikadan itibaren hızın ve akışın içine çeken türde bir platformer. Hikaye ya da büyük bir anlatı derdi yok; tüm odağı hareketin kendisine vermiş. Oyunun yaptığı en doğru şey, oyuncuyu asla belirsizliğe bırakmaması. Her platform, her kanca noktası, her tehdit temiz bir şekilde okunuyor. Bu netlik, hatayı oyuncuya ait kılıyor ve oyunun adil hissetmesini sağlıyor.
Kanca mekaniği burada bir yan özellik değil, oyunun omurgası. Fizik sistemi o kadar tutarlı ki birkaç bölüm sonra “nasıl geçerim” değil “nasıl daha iyi geçerim” demeye başlıyorsun. Oyun bunu özel olarak tetikliyor; hızlanmanın, salınım açını ayarlamanın ve ivmeni korumanın ritmi doğal bir şekilde içgüdüye dönüşüyor.
Hızlı bir oyun ama cezalandırıcı değil. Yanlış yaptığında seni bekletmiyor, saniyenin onda biri kadar sürede yeniden deneme şansı veriyor. Bu da oyuna meditatif bir tempo katıyor. Bir bölümde takılsan bile sinir değil, “bir tane daha deneyeyim” duygusu oluşuyor. Her başarısızlık minik bir geri adım değil, ritmi tekrar bulmak için bir deneme gibi geliyor.
Görsel olarak iddiasız ama karakterli bir çizgisi var. Sadelik, dikkat dağıtmamak için bilinçli bir tercih gibi duruyor. Renk paleti temiz, animasyonlar net, hiçbir şey hareketin önüne geçmiyor. Oyun resmen “sen oyna, ben aradan çekiliyorum” diyor.
Speedrunner ruhu ise oyunun her köşesinde hissediliyor. Tasarım sana açıkça “buradan daha hızlı geçebilirsin” demiyor ama bölümlerin akışı bunu içten içe hissettiriyor. Kendi rotanı buldukça oyun sana sessiz bir şekilde eşlik ediyor. Bir süre sonra hızlı geçmek değil, akıcı geçmek daha önemli hale geliyor.
Sonuç olarak Remnants of Naezith, mekanik odaklı platformer arayanlar için oldukça rafine bir deneyim. Sürekli konuşmuyor, seni yönlendirmeye çalışmıyor, sadece bir araç verip ustalaşmanı izliyor. Bittiğinde “zor bir oyunu geçtim” değil “kendi hızımı buldum” hissi bırakıyor. Kısacası, çok az oyunun yakalayabildiği o temiz akış halini burada bulmak mümkün.

いわゆるグラップリングフックを使ってアスレチックを攻略していくゲーム。ステージは初見の状態ではクリアすることすら一苦労だろう。しかしその分、独特の挙動をするブーストも利用してうまくクリアできたときの達成感はひとしお。全ステージクリアを目標にするだけでも歯ごたえのある良いゲームだ。
このゲームの真のチャレンジはタイムアタックにある。すべてのステージにオンラインランキング、さらに開発が定めた「目標タイム」が存在し、タイムアタックがやりこみ要素となる。
最初からかなりストイックなゲームバランスではあるが、何度もデスを重ねてその先にある達成感を求める人、少しずつタイムを詰めていくことに喜びを感じる人に特におすすめできる。
Güzel platform oyunu ve diğer oyunlara kıyasla görülmemiş mekaniği var. Ayrıca baya zor ve brotato vari müzikleri ve yetersiz ortamı sizi tekrar oynamaya itmiyor. Eğer oyunsuz kalırsam tekrar döneceğim ilk oyunlardan ve underrated listeme eklendi. Elinize sağlık.

Remnants of Naezith is just Spider-Man if he overdosed on caffeine and decided gravity was optional.
– Grappling hook? More like grappling addiction.
– Miss a swing? Congratulations, you are now paste on the floor.
– Succeed a swing? You feel like a god who just invented momentum.
– The dragon voice in my head keeps roasting me for dying 300 times.
Every level is:
“Do you want to feel speed, freedom, and crippling self-hatred at the same time?”

I didn’t beat the game, the game beat me… into submission.
This is one of the hardest action games I've ever played. The momentum-based movement looks and feels incredible, but the level design demands a high degree of mastery and precision. Though I'm nowhere near the skill ceiling, even the satisfaction of trying, learning, practicing, and overcoming a previously impossible obstacle within the first couple areas in the game is extremely satisfying.
Make no mistake. This game is [i]hard[/i] and demands reflexes, timing, and focus. The experience of doing everything right is pure fluid beauty, and a reward unto itself.
One day, I shall return and reclaim the rest of the Remnants of Naezith. Until then, my time with this game will live fondly in my memories.

Remnants of Naezith es un juego de plataformas mezclado con speedrunning de niveles que no esperaba que me gustara tanto. Pense que en un principio jugaría un par de niveles por probar y que igual me pasaría algo de juego, pero vez tras vez me veía queriendo completar el nivel en el que estaba atascado, queriendo mejorar mi marca en algún nivel anterior o sencillamente jugando los niveles porque son divertidos aun habiéndotelos pasado.
A nivel de escala de dificultad te lleva muy de la mano en los primeros dos mundos para que te familiarices con los controles y cosas que puedes hacer. Hay niveles mas fáciles y mas difíciles. A partir del segundo mundo, la dificultad de los niveles sube muchísimo, y en el cuarto y ultimo mundo es increíblemente difícil, a nivel de tiempos y de exactitud de saltos. Todo se saca con practica igualmente, pero es para hacérselo mirar.
En resumidas cuentas, es un juegazo, si tienes la ocasión de verlo de rebaja y te pica la curiosidad, dale una oportunidad, no te decepcionara..

Ultra basic, no reason to play this unless trying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is your thing. I can't quite imagine how anyone could enjoy this, but then again people are full of surprises.

i just wanna reiterate that the movement mechanics themselves are great, I just think its unfortunate that the majority levels don't fully take advantage of that moveset. (if you aren't speedrunning)

Just finished up all the main levels (dont plan on going for all mastery), some of the levels were really fun, a few were really ehh, most were kinda forgettable. I had high hopes for the custom levels but I may have to come back to those another time.
Swinging around on the grapple will always be great, but i think it would have been a bit more fun if they spent a bit more time with easier levels. I think there was a lot of room for stuff to be easier to execute but require more technical skills/knowledge that wasnt fully explored.
There were about three levels in the final area that i really liked, but most of them were kinda wack. Since all the levels are pretty short (and most of the stuff i found fun was what worked more consistantly) the good stuff doesnt get the time to shine unfortunately.
My favorite level overall was easily "ruins" in the crystal section.
Cool game though! Gonna go hunting for some easier custom levels someday

I do kinda wish you could bind multiple buttons to some actions (unless you can and im bad at menus)
As someone who isnt the most competitive im not a huuge fan of all the medals locked behind being above a percantage of the rest of the playerbase and "dominance" scores and how the timer flashes super red when you dont set a new highscore and whatnot. But it seems like the time to beat that actually matters is dev set? I think? It doesnt look like theres anything locked behind that besides steam acheivements anyways, so ill just keep on enjoying playing the game how i want to play it :P
I also have a similar problem with this to penny's big breakaway where at high speeds very small differences in angle/timing can have drastic effects on the launch angle, but really thats just a skill issue and the game is real fun. Thats just the nature of grappling hooks at the end of the day.
Thats my three cosmetic/very minor gripes with this very cool game. Cant wait to see the rest of the levels (and maybe some custom ones too)
No es un mal juego, sin embargo no es para mí, y por eso y los siguientes puntos no podría recomendarlo:
En principio, muchas veces vas a sentir que hay demasiados elementos en pantalla lo cual sumado a la velocidad, hace que no puedas reaccionar a tiempo.
Otro punto,es que siento que el juego es muy poco intuitivo, quiero decir, muchos obstaculos no vas a saber su mecanica hasta que hayas muerto mucho; y por otro lado, hay muchos niveles en los que no sabes para donde es el camino, y si eres igual de malo que yo, vas a verte en una situación en la que estas intentando acumular velocidad de una forma erronea o estas lanzandote para donde no es.
Esto es algo que se que para algunos no será una pega, pero no me terminan de encantar los juegos como este o Super Meat Boy donde el personaje se mueve demasiado rápido, ya que siento que no tengo control sobre el personaje; y si se preguntan por un juego que sienta que tiene buenos controles esta Celeste por ejemplo, pese a que entiendo que sea mas nuevo que estos dos.
Y por último, esto es mas una recomendación para los desarrolladores, pero es que cuando pones al fantasma estaría bien que este haga el recorrido una y otra vez, ya que muchas veces me quedaba atrás de él y llegaba a una zona en la que no sabía ni que movimientos hacer o a donde ir, y siento que si pudiera ver al fantasma sería menos frustante.

The fixed 45-degree hook was baffling at first but then it simply grew on me - pure button-based precision platforming. You can zoom through beautiful scenery and sweat for mastery in each level, or just relax by watching the replays of masters doing the work. All-in-all a wonderful game (bonus points for custom levels!).

satisfying movement
What an absolute hidden gem.

I'll be the first to say - this is a good game, but it's not for me. It's for speedrunners. If you're not one, skip this.
The controls are extremely tight, and while simple, very tricky to master. The skill gap between someone just picking the game and the true speedrunners is brutal. I almost gave the game a negative review since the experience for a casual gamer (aka me) is really brutal and, unless you're into speedrunning, Id' say it's not worth it. It's hard to read the levels, and even when you know what you're supposed to do (where ghosts help), achieving it is super hard. Checkpoints are supposed to make it easier for casual gamers, but your ghost doesn't stop at checkpoints so if you ever need to respawn at one of them, your ghost is gone and you have no clue how to proceed.
I love precision platformers and had the absolute best time with Celeste, but it's probably because Celeste is a lot clearer to read than Naezith, and the moveset is more manageable and easier to grasp than the hookshot here. Still a good game, but I doubt I'll be touching it again.

Jedną z najsmutniejszych rzeczy w gamingowym kontekście jest dla mnie przypadek gier bardzo skrojonych pod pewnego odbiorcę. Chodzi tu o sytuację gdy dana produkcja mogłaby być ulubioną grą pewnych konkretnych osób, ale nigdy się o niej nie dowiedzą, bo brakuje jej szerokiego uznania.
Nie sposób mi zapomnieć w tym kontekście o Remnants of Naezith. Nie zrozumcie mnie źle, nie jest to gra dla mnie, porzuciłem ją po kilku godzinach, jednak podobnie porzuciłem Super Meat Boya, a to przecież klasyk. Tu też odczuwam największe podobieństwo. RoN co prawda nie ma tej slapstickowej stylizacji co SMB i estetycznie jest, powiedzmy nieintersująco poprawny. W zamian za to otrzymujemy rozbudowaną paletę umiejętności poruszania się, poprzez dasha, do grapling hooka. A jak wiadomo grapling hooki to to co tygrysy lubią najbardziej.
Co więc odrzuciło konkretnie mnie? Poziom trudności, eskalował bardzo szybko i znudziło mi się walenie głową w ścianę aby przejść kolejne poziomy. Chciałbym tu jednak zaznaczyć, ze same umiejętności postaci były bardzo przyjemne w użyciu i dopracowane pod kątem sterowania. Jest więc tu być może jakaś nauka, że należy przygotować więcej contentu prostego, aby gra mogła najpierw zdobyć uznanie, a poziomy dla hardkorowców ukryć nieco dalej jak np w Celeste.
Mogę się oczywiście mylić bo platformówkowym wymiataczem nie jestem, ale im właśnie niesamowicie poleciłbym Remnants of Naezith. Poza gameplayem gra ma też lederboardy i ogólne wsparcie dla wszelkiego rodzaju speedrunowania więc takie osoby poczują się jak w domu.
Update as of 3/2/2025: I am once again changing my review of this game from a negative one back to a positive one. For posterity, and to contextualize the response by the developer, I'm gonna leave my previous negative review down below.
I had an itch to go play this game again tonight. And while, to a certain extent, I still stand by my assertion that the "pull" mechanic is awkward and can instantly break the flow of your run, I realize now, that I probably posted that review in a moment of frustration. In all likelihood, I rage-quit, cussed out loud a bunch while my dogs stared at me like I'm an a**hole, and then left that review before promptly uninstalling the game and angrily eating dinner.
However, in playing the game tonight, I realized there are some useful and fun ways to use the "pull" mechanic. I guess I hadn't fully explored the possibilities for movement that it opens up. I also wasn't aware that there were so many custom levels to mess around with. So when the main game started to get bogged down due to an over-reliance on said mechanic, I could have explored the custom levels as a palate cleanser. And I wouldn't have found out about the custom levels if it weren't for the dev leaving a long, in depth response to my negative review. Which brings me to the most important point...and the main reason I went back to try the game again and change my review:
Major respect to the dev for taking the time to read and respond, at length and insightfully, to my negative ramblings. Their response was at least as long as my review, if not longer, and it included a glimpse into their thought process during the game's development. That is rare, and something that, in my opinion, is very much desired by gamers.
Usually, as a collective, we get some copy-pasted drivel, if we get anything at all. But this guy (or girl) took the time to write up a direct, thoughtful response to the frustrated rant of one random, inconsequential douchebag on Steam (me). They didn't have to do that. Like, who the f*ck am I? I'm just some dude... some dude who's not even good at the game they made. But they did, and that counts for a lot in my book. So, again, respect to the dev for that.
Also, the game is actually fun as sh*t. For the low price, it's definitely worth a shot if you like difficult games with high skill ceilings, mastering intricate mechanics, and speed running.

Previously, I had left this game a positive review, but I'm now changing that to a negative review for one simple reason... The mechanic of reeling in your rope if you press the jump button while your grapple is connected to a surface. It doesn't disconnect the rope, mind you. If you press jump while your grappling hook is attached to a surface, no matter how fast you are moving or in what direction, all momentum will cease and you will be immediately, rapidly, and violently propelled toward the point of contact of your grappling hook. And guess what...that new movement doesn't cease if you release the jump button, so it's not like you can use it to make minor adjustments to the length of your rope. The only way to break that new movement is to release the grapple button. However, at that point you're already moving toward the point of contact faster that anything else in the game, so NOW, all of a sudden, the game cares about physics and momentum, and you just continue in that direction anyway.
It's tough to explain if you haven't played the game, unfortunately, but in my humble opinion, it is one of the most un-fun things I have ever played in a video game. Truly, it ruins an otherwise enjoyable experience, as it just feels like the harshest, most imprecise mechanic possible in a game that requires perfect timing and absolute precision. And it becomes more and more prevalent as the game progresses, until the game is no longer about flying across the map at mach 10, catching corners at the perfect time and flying to the finish line feeling like a badass, and more about juggling yourself awkwardly through a corridor of hazards with a mechanic that feels downright stupid and unintuitive.
Is this just a matter of "get gud"? Oh yeah. 100%. But life is short, and there are a lot of games to play. So, I'm not going to waste my time mastering a mechanic that is more frustrating than anything else...a mechanic that makes an already challenging game tremendously harder for all the wrong reasons. And neither should you.

1. Почему нет возможности сразу зарестартить уровень, приходится выходить и включать уровень заново.
2. Нет индикатора длины или шаблона по которому будет лететь крюк (30% смертей из недалета крюка или промаха)
Наверно это все минусы которые я могу вспомнить сложность это плюс игры не для меня ибо я ели ели осилил два мира.
Конечно, это не мой жанр игр, но так как все равно игру получил на халяву, почему бы и не попробовать поиграть. И так могу сказать, что игру стоит взять!

La mecánica mola muchísimo, pero el juego es insufriblemente difícil y apenas hay progresión. Da la sensación de que el segundo mundo es el último en un juego de plataformas al uso.
Quizás se me da muy mal? Es posible. Pero eso no quita que al juego le haga falta un "mundo tutorial" algo más largo o más posibilidades de juego mientras mejoras, porque ese es otro problema, si no eres capaz de superar los mundos del juego, no tienes más opciones que practicar o jugar los mundos creados, porque no hay ningún tipo de ayuda al jugador que te permita reducir la dificultad.
Aún así lo recomiendo porque quitando esto último sobre la falta de ayuda, es un buen juego, pulido e ingenioso.

Esse jogo não é pra mim, mal consigo passar das fases, quesá platinar ele kkkkkkkk É um daqueles típicos jogos de speedrunner, que você tem que estudar e rejogar pra passar no melhor tempo possível. Mas não por isso vou negativar, fica mais como um alerta: Se você gosta desse tipo de jogo, vá em frente e compre. Caso contrário, não recomendo.

Is more frustrating than fun. As someone who loves games like celeste, the messenger, mr bree, etc, i appreciate a good tough platformer. But this is made specifically for speedrunners and thats where the flaws come. Your grappling hook only shoots at at 45 degrees and is way too short most of the time but you can never tell until its too late. The game is too built on momentum and many times you may survive a part but if you didn't do it split second perfect with the right grapples and dashes it doesnt matter, you'll die anyways. Then every level has way too many spikes, water, and things you cant grab onto adding artificial difficulty. The dash on water mechanic is pretty finnicky as well as well as the pull into launch up in the air mechanic. I never felt I was improving, and it was more based on luck if I got certain parts. You just replay the same level and part countless times and never don't feel I learned anything, just that I wasn't picture perfect with where the grapple was so I need to bang my head against the wall until it works. Got 1/2 way through area 2 and realized life is too short. It seemed like the cool idea and the movement can be fun, but the difficulty spike and the main mechanics of the game coupled with the level design make for a finnicky game that asks too much repetition without enough reward. Also some levels checkpoints are good and some they are too spread out. 5.5/10

Meh, no está mal, me lo esperaba mejor y más leyendo las reseñas! Es un juego fácil de entender y aprender pero difícil de masterear. Aún así me ha entretenido y me ha gustado jugarlo.
No lo recomiendo porque no es para todo el mundo, lo veo más para speedrunners, proplayers y/o jugadores casuales.
Se encuentra en la media de este tipo de juegos y si te gustan le vas a echar varias horas. Como la mayoría de juegos indies, el precio está por encima de su valor real, pero suele estar de oferta.

all the things that could make a better game for master is not there.. really, example only show MY PERSONAL GHOST to know if have chance of get a better time and not 2 ghost.. or what about a buttom to hide-show ghost.. well for more a like the game the ghost system and master system is stress cause nothing work there.
The masters time is way all wrong.. you can see the maps with expert doing 10% more faster and then other map boom 50% faster...

O ile jednak powyższy opis tyczy się legendarnej pozycji sprzed przeszło 20 lat, o tyle tutaj nie znajdziecie za bardzo jakiegokolwiek balansu pomiędzy różnymi formami zabawy - zamiast tego czeka Was huśtanie się na magicznej linie, klimat w którym niemal każdy element otoczenia chce zabić naszego bohatera, a także minimalistyczną, pixelartową grafikę, która choć płynna i w miarę bogato przyozdobiona w różne efekty, to raczej kwalifikuje się do tych dość schematycznych oraz powtarzalnych, przynajmniej wedle mojej skromnej opinii. No to co, bujamy się.
Bo owe bujanie będzie nam towarzyszyło właściwie nieprzerwanie od samego początku, będąc głównym środkiem transportu pomiędzy kolejnymi obszarami. Z jednej strony nie - to dobrze, że wciąż produkuje się pozycje dla węższego grona odbiorców, tak aby nawet najbardziej wymagający klient mógł trafić w swoją niszę i znaleźć coś co pochłonie go na długie, długie godziny, jednak z drugiej, zaczyna się robić trochę niefajnie gdy dany produkt wydaje się być skierowany TYLKO dla nielicznych, a w tym przypadku nie brakuje argumentów przemawiających za tym, że można się tu tak poczuć. Przede wszystkim wystarczy zerknąć na dominujące pozycje w końcowej tabeli aby szybko zrozumieć, że próba rywalizacji z rekordzistami to przysłowiowe bicie głową w mur; nienaturalne odbicia od ścian, wykorzystywanie układu terenu, dziwne, niezrozumiałe przyciągnięcia... Skoro dla osoby raczej obeznanej w platformerach nawet kopiowanie ruchów pędzącej przed herosem zjawy bywało sporym wyzwaniem, to trudno mówić o pojawieniu się u kogoś jakichś ambicji sięgających znacznie dalej, niż przemęczenie jednego czy dwóch etapów. Osobiście nie znajduję bowiem szczególnej motywacji w ciągłym zerkaniu na widoczny, goniący nieustannie licznik czasu, przeglądaniu na koniec poziomu informacji w jakim procencie graczy się zamknąłem czy chociażby w kilkudziesięciu próbach wstrzelenia się w idealny moment wypuszczenia akrobaty, tylko po to by chwilę później pomieszać sekwencję podwójnego skoku z przyciągnięciem się do danej powierzchni. Gdyby występowała tu jakaś fabularyzacja wydarzeń, okazjonalna szansa do wykazania się w szermierce albo chociaż pochowane znajdźki zachęcające do przeczesywania różnych zakątków mapy, to zapewne łatwiej przyszło by mi poszukiwanie dla siebie jakiegoś wektora utrzymującego moje zainteresowanie; tymczasem puste przeloty nad nieszczególnie złożonymi lokacjami raczej nie były czymś, co zachęcało mnie do powrotu.
Kto wie, może cała ta treść nabiera wyrazu i smaku dopiero po docenieniu szaty graficznej? Nie mogę tego oczywiście wykluczyć, bo choć osobiście bliżej mi do antyfana niż wielbiciela pixelowych rozwiązań, to jednak rzeczywiście muszę przyznać, że jest w tych elementach wizualnych coś nietypowego i przykuwającego uwagę, nawet pomimo względnej prostoty. Atmosfera ostrej jak żyleta, bezpośredniej treści podsycanej różnymi rozmyciami, błyskami czy kolorami faktycznie może się podobać, szczególnie koneserom takiego retro stylu, jednak całościowo nie wpływa raczej na odbiór w takim stopniu, aby jakkolwiek drastycznie zmienić oblicze całego tytułu. Swoją cegiełkę dokładają również możliwe do tworzenia customowe levele, które niewątpliwie podnoszą obszerność całego przedsięwzięcia, przy okazji znacznie wydłużając jego żywotność; jeżeli ktoś chce dać upust swojej twórczej inwencji lub skorzystać trochę z rozwiązań proponowanych przez innych graczy, szczególnie przy tak jasno skierowanej zabawie, to może być to dobra okazja by podejść trochę inaczej do tematu lotów nad przepaścią lub ślizgania się po wodnych zbiornikach.
Podsumowując zatem: moim krytycznym okiem widzę to po prostu jako oferującą mało przyjemną kontrolę nad postacią grę, zamkniętą w liniowym, hardkorowym platformerze ze szczątkową fabułą, wąską gamą dostępnych mechanik oraz kilkoma niezbędnymi narzędziami dla speedrunnerów, którzy ewidentnie mają za zadanie być solą tej ziemi. Tak jak wspominałem na początku, nie wystarczy powiedzieć, że nie jest to pozycja dla wszystkich - odbiorca wydaje się być bardzo jasno nakreślony, a płaszczyzny na których można zadowolić laika zostały tu potraktowane raczej po macoszemu. Oczywiście widzę i doskonalę zdaję sobie sprawę jak bardzo subiektywna jest ta recenzja, natomiast wydaje mi się, że w pewien sposób poczułem się tutaj po prostu pominięty, co zaowocowało dość osobistą rezonacją z konkretnymi cechami produkcji. Istnieje szansa, że po prostu kompletnie się mylę - koniec końców pełno wokół pozytywnych opinii, a ja mogę być po prostu sfrustrowanym ignorantem nie potrafiącym docenić czegoś wspaniałego w swojej prostocie; Z mojej perspektywy jednak nie ma tutaj za bardzo miejsca dla kogoś, kto celuje w inny punkt zaczepienia niż tak zwany potocznie "tryhard", a więc pozostaje polecenie tego wyłącznie graczom o wysokiej determinacji i mentalności rekordzisty... reszcie zalecam obejść się smakiem i po prostu nie brnąć w pozostałości Naezitha.

"Remnants of Naezith" is a hard as hell hardcore precision-platformer meant for speedrunners.
The genre is not my cup of tea, nor am I a speedrunner.
"Super Meat Boy" and "King's Bird" have already eaten through my nerves.
These games are actually good and I will come back to them someday.

Brutally difficult game that I highly recommend. THIS is precision platforming. 4 chapters with 20 intensely punishing levels each increasing in challenge as the chapters go on. I can't count on both hands, feet, and every skin cell in my body how many times I died IN A SINGLE LEVEL. The final level alone will forever haunt my nightmares, but damn if it didn't feel good to beat FINALLY. I love this stressful addictive game. The movement mechanics are extremely deep. Having to combine jump, double jump, wall jump, grapple, grapple pull, and boost to pull off insanely precise maneuvers feels incredibly empowering. You'll have to time your jumps precisely knowing when to grapple, when to let go, when to double jump, when to boost, and when to throw your controller out a window. Seeing that one successful run after countless failed attempts puts a smile on my face even if my leaderboard rank is hundreds of places down. The presentation is top notch. It's a beautiful game with lots of color and visual effects that don't clog up the screen. I also appreciate the ghost that shows you one way to successfully complete the level. That ♥♥♥♥ really helped me out. I really enjoyed the soundtrack. It set the tone right and kept me invested the entire time. No question this is a niche game. The super rare trophies just for completing each chapter goes to show only the most dedicated will stick with this game to the end. Nonetheless, it is very fun and absolutely worth the extremely low price. This one is criminally underrated. Definitely a much more challenging title than Celeste imo. If the official levels aren't enough for you, there are custom levels as well. 10/10

只是通关就要废不少心思，如果还要竞速需要练习很久，以一个小游戏来讲，可玩性非常高。
Everyone needs to play with some grappling hooks! Movement is super satisfying, and while the later levels are hard as nails, they're still fun to try for hundreds of times until you master them (or, as in my case, happen to blunder through by some miracle).
This game effectively comes across as "what if super meat boy, but with grapple hooks?" If that sounds appealing, giving it a go.
I found just one flaw:
There is one movement mechanic that the game has no tutorial for. It is super useful and the game fully expects you to mess around and find out, which is a charitable way of saying "trial and error." The good news is, the "Mastery" ghost is a good in-game hint to figuring it out. Eventually you'll be using it almost nonstop.
As with frustrating games, while you're playing, there are a million and one "GRAAAAAWWWRRRRZ" that go off. Like that ONE SPIKE THAT STANDS OUT WHY WOULD YOU PUT THAT THERE? Or how the final area has a huge change in design philosophy. It goes less schmovement and more... well, super meat boy; with hyperbole, for every 10 spikes in the final area, there is 1 spike in the previous areas. lol
Serious advice: if the speedrun aspect is stressful, turn it off. You don't have to play every single level and a lot of levels can be cruised through at your leisure, with checkpoints too, where you'll eventually make your way to the end. I saw someone on the leaderboard with over 40 minutes of taking sweet sweet time to get to the end. My thoughts: "What a legend! Stuck to it until the very end!"
The frustration builds and builds until you finally win and you're like "YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH." And then come here and recommend the game.
The music for this game has no business being so good. Really solid, speedrun friendly gameplay. Easily worth the $10, even though I got it in a humble bundle.
