So this is a really cute little puzzle-platformer ! I have somewhat of a different perspective on this game
Personally, as a software engineer, I found this game really easy. I’ve played less than 2 hours and already cleared through most of the game. Thats because Recursed is fundamentally a programming game. Not in the way a Zachtronics game is where you’re literally programming. But in a way where you’re essentially doing puzzles around manual memory management. I have no doubt in my mind that this was intentional. It’s so 1:1 I can get to a new area and say “oh, so these are like references”. If you understand C stack frame layout then this game is easy ! But for the non professionals, it’s a terrific gentle introduction to memory concepts ! It trains the layperson in that intuitive understanding of memory without having to read a single line of code. I’d definitely recommend Recursed to all fans of puzzlers

在一个横板2d游戏,做一个时间回溯功能,我并不觉得多难,第一次玩逻辑解密不是因为卡关而关闭游戏,而是因为游戏崩溃或者无法撤回而心态崩溃.

Venía de jugar a Patrick Parabox, juego posterior con puzles recursivos y tras ver este juego ahora entiendo en cual se inspiraron para hacerlo. Tiene gráficos simples pero suficientes para adornar un desafío que varia al ir añadiendo nuevas mecánicas en ningún momento se me ha hecho invisible pero es de estos juegos que obliga a veces a pararte para entender que estás haciendo y que la solución es más simple de los que pensabas. Una auténtica joyita que te vuelve un poco tarumba con sus mecánicas de mundos recursivos. Llegar al final normal es un reto asequible pero exigente, la segunda capa sólo los mas pacientes y versados
ギミックの関係で詰みが発生しやすいのに詰んだ際の復帰手段がステージのリセットしかない。
「一手戻す」も「現在の状態をセーブする」も何もなし。
一ステージが短いとはいえ後半になると非常にややこしい手順を要する難問もあるため、失敗するたびに最初からやり直すのはストレスでしかなかった。
また一部のステージ内には特定の条件を満たすことで入れる隠しステージがあるが、ここで詰んだ場合も全部やり直しとなる。
箱の外見がどれも同じで区別がつかなかったり、物を持つ動作とワープに入る動作が同じボタンなのも不親切。
総評すると面白いことは面白いけど心に余裕のあるパズルマニア以外にはオススメしない。

Probably one of the best puzzle games out there, with most puzzles being interesting (hard) without overcomplicating the design.
I generally recommend playing without the sound effects though, they can be quite irritating.

一気にやると狂うので、日々の楽しみにしたいパズル。
프로그래밍언어론으로부터 강하게 영강을 받은 듯한 퍼즐 게임. 하다 보면 굉장히 비슷한 개념들이 많이 나와서, 본인이 그쪽 관련 지식을 알고 있다면 꼭 해보는걸 추천한다. 이론을 퍼즐 게임으로 정말 잘 풀어낸 것 같다. 그래서 이론과 매칭되는 기믹을 알아채는 소소한 재미도 있다.
몰라도 퍼즐 푸는데에는 지장이 전혀 없고 퍼즐의 완성도 자체도 높아서 나름 재밌게 했던 것 같다. 숨겨진 보석같은 게임.
一百昏！简单的机制多重的空间，每个大关里的关卡越往后越套娃。适合上班时安全摸鱼的神器，只需要打开游戏大概看下这一小关给的条件有什么，然后就可以暂时关闭开始脑内模拟，模拟完成后打开窗口继续实践验证。（不推荐讨厌跳跳乐的小伙伴玩，有些地方还是需要点操作的）
有的关卡我真的很怀疑到底有没有解，我会找出答案的。

这游戏绝对是神作！神中神！游戏底层设计跟其他解谜游戏根本就不在一个维度，这是另一个层次的解谜。总之非常牛逼！！！
Finishing this game felt like I had just finished eating a delicious meal, the kind that makes you say "my compliments to the chef". It's nothing mindblowing, really, and I don't think this is by any means my favourite puzzle game of all time (that's still [i]Void Stranger[/i]). But it is simply an excellent experience! This game does a lot of things I like; the puzzles are all great (a lot of them have this cool structure where they'll teach or use some fundamental trick in the first half, and then make you find some weird exploit using it in the second), the ending is clever, there's this subplot where you get audio logs of a charming british man who effectively played the game before you which could have easily been a little too self-conscious but was actually quite well written, I kept saying things like "huh" and "what the hell?" and "oh I see! no, wait a minute".
If I have one gripe it's that I solved some of the puzzles by what felt like random floundering around; sometimes you can just eliminate every possibility that clearly leads directly to a softlock and then do whatever's left. But it's not as if that isn't still fun and interesting in itself! No individual puzzle has that many components but if you don't go in with a solid plan you quickly end up accidentally building these massive labyrinths of nested identical-looking chests. It's a good time.
Such a great game. Play it

暑假打的，今天回过头来再看，这样的机制经常是开局难一脸，等熟悉底层逻辑以后主线便如喝水般迅速，一直到逻辑链从一开始的新颖变成了后期的堆叠，空间复杂度几何上升，再次难一脸。
本作一大特点是游戏的复杂更多的是对逻辑的把控，很少会出现“啊，原来还可以这样”之类的情况。

硬要挑刺的话，这游戏离完美就差一个撤销回退功能。后期一步失误全部重来还是有点烦躁。

在绞尽脑汁的16个小时后，我终于没看任何攻略和提示的拿到了主线全水晶，只看了数量提示的拿到主线全钻石。
真的是超级满足！
至于主线其他那些小巧思成就，我觉得可能我会忍不住看提示了。
而2个额外章节的因为觉得新加的机制使得谜题变得不那么纯粹了，所以玩了几关后就放下了，等缓缓之后再开始挑战。
因此就在这里阶段性的谈谈我对本游戏的看法，以及一些闲扯吧。
首先说结论：
神作！
至今为止我心目中的解谜游戏第一！
对的，即使算上你叫得出名字的那些超绝赞解谜游戏一起（大部分我应该多少玩过一些），我依旧觉得本作是我心目中的第一名。
倒不是说本作没有缺点，也不是说本作完美了。
我一直觉得完美不是对一样事物的终极评价，不完美的东西也有可能超越完美的。
完美只是没有缺憾，但美是没有上限的，即使完美的东西也会被超越。
本作可以改进的地方很明显，玩过的人其实都多少能感觉到一点。
首先就像我刚开始玩时提到过的，没有撤销回退，在谜题刚开始变得复杂起来的时候会很折磨人。
但这是可以适应的，而且对于后面那些非常复杂的谜题来说，重头来一遍也是整理步骤明白什么是必要什么非必要理清逻辑的很好手段。
所以也许这点根本算不上缺点？好吧，其实还是缺点。
然后，每一关内不同房间的箱子，真的应该给一些显眼的区别。比如不同颜色，或者干脆在上面标上名字之类的。
现在把箱子列在一起，全靠刻意的摆放位置来强化记忆，其实是给解谜过程带来了一些不必要的思维负担的。
最后，虽然并不多但确实存在的平台跳跃极限操作要求。
我其实也没那么讨厌平台跳跃本身，甚至可以说还是个喜欢跳跳乐的人。
但是吧，在高强度思考的过程中，偶尔穿插一点极限跳跃，还没有撤销，失败了全部重来，这是真的让人吃不消。
说完了我觉得最显著的可以改善的缺点，之后就说说真正让我觉得本作神作的地方吧。
最主要的原因，暧昧一点来说就是：
本作所有谜题都完全可以根据逻辑思考得到解法，理论上不需要任何试错，这种对可解性的完全掌控感，真的让人上瘾。
而这一点其实哪怕很多解谜名作，都做的不是那么好，在解谜过程中总会有些环节只能靠试错得到答案。
在解谜游戏中，往往有“逻辑可考”和“复杂变化”的两难境地。逻辑思维越是有效，往往谜题复杂性就越是难提升。
但是本作真的没有这个问题，而是两者我都要。
光这么说可能确实太含糊了，我想举个我最喜欢的一关为例子。
Temple的Blister，这关现在可以说是我心目中第一名的解谜游戏关卡了。
看看这关的设计，全关卡只有1个房间，1个可互动物体，2个互动环境，1个终点，没了。
真的，整关就只有这几样东西！但是这一关真的只用这几样东西做到了在玩家内心荡起海啸，在头脑中刮起暴风！
这一关玩家要做的事只有一件：
盯着屏幕什么都不做，然后大脑里罗列各种条件，开始将条件按照逻辑组合起来，
或许5分钟，或许10分钟，或许更久一些，
然后迎来顿悟的那一刻。
这种体验真的可以看做是将解谜的所有快感提纯除杂后的结果。
而本作基本上所有关卡都是在追求这样的纯粹性。
不过，虽然游戏的解谜体验我认为绝对是第一档的，但让我将本游戏排到心目中的第一位的，还是一点私心：
因为我是个对各种形式语法重写系统超J8热衷的码农！
而本作等于是长在了我的G点上。
至于我为什么这么说，你可能还不太明白是怎么回事，

本来打算随这感想一起写完发出来的，但是当我发现写完一小章已经花了几个小时后，

Really good one, probably in my top 3 puzzle games with Baba is You and Patricks Parabox. Took around 20h to 100% with the bonus levels. It's tough but totally doable on your own, tho I did search for 2 small hints early on. Probably not for everyone but if you dabbled in programming you'll have an easier time with concepts of recursion and level creation/destruction which is essentially a stack trace.
Final 10 levels of Last Tapestry are the best, combining all the concepts and testing your knowledge. Paradoxes and Invalidity are great bonus levels you gotta search for, and I especially liked the one where you gotta make double paradox or bring the items between paradox and invalidity.
My only nitpick is that some bonus levels are not really puzzles but the gatcha moments that test if you've been paying attention to the physics mechanics of the game

再帰やツリー構造をテーマにしたパズルゲー。
総評として「パズル自体はかなり歯ごたえがあり面白い一方で、ユーティリティ面は不便寄りなので注意」といったところ。
まずパズルの面白さについては他のレビューでも散々書かれているので、1つだけ挙げるとすれば「部屋が多すぎない」という点が良かった。
多くても1ステージに5部屋くらいだったような気がする。
この手のパズルは部屋を増やせばいくらでも難しくできるが、そうせずにコンパクトな部屋数でまとめてきており、それでいて各ステージちゃんと頭を悩ませられるところが満足感が高かった。
一方のユーティリティ面の至らなさについては書いている人が少ないので、あえてこちらをまとめてみる。

[*]ステージからの退出ややり直しがワンボタンでできず、毎回メニューからカーソルを合わせて決定する必要がある。ただしこれは外部でホットキーを設定すればよいのでまだマシ。
[*]アンドゥ機能がない。それにより「せっかく良いセットアップができたのにワンミスで台無しになってしまった」となりがちでそこそこストレス。欲を言えばステートセーブ、無理ならせめて「その部屋に入った時の状態まで巻き戻す」みたいな機能が欲しかった。
[*]箱の見た目が同じで見分けがつかない。部屋同士の包含関係の把握が重要なのにこれは正直キツい。実際に箱に入れば中身の確認はできるもののテンポが悪いし、途中から「1度しか入り直せないオブジェクト」が登場してしまうためそれも封じられる。

こんな感じでかなり前時代的なユーティリティとなっているため、「パズルそのものに対して全力で頭を悩ませたい」という人にとっては結構ノイズが強め、という点は留意しておくべき。
実際にプレイする際は、上記の不便さも踏まえてペイントソフト等に各部屋のスクショを残しながらやると見通しがよくなると思う。
物の移動により逐一状況は変わってしまうため常に状況を反映させるのは大変だが、最低限「各部屋の初期状態」を記録しておくだけでもだいぶやりやすくなるはず。

古希腊掌管“嵌套”“递归”的神，玩逻辑解谜必然绕不开这个的，玩就对了。
第一次认识绿色，是在吹哥的《Braid》，当时被时间线交错的两横行云所震撼；
第二次认识绿色，是在m一串的《Maxwell's puzzling demon》，当时为雷打不动、挤爆万物的一抹亮绿所抓狂；
现在是第三次认识绿色，老熟人了！
私以为，它们三绿都有一种共性叫——“保持原来的状态不变”。巧合的是，这和牛顿第一定律——“物体在没有外力作用时将保持原来运动状态不变”的自然基本法则如出一辙！
除了嵌套、递归这些早有耳闻的玩法以外，《Recursed》中最让我有感觉的机制就是附着于物体上的绿色火焰，没有它就不会衍生出最有意思悖论关卡，而悖论关是游戏的深度核心所在。
初见绿箱时，我原本是想利用绿箱的退出“传送”到另一个房间，结果却伴随着一声撕裂来到一个陌生的房间。细想，因为原房间的绿箱被移走了，抹消了“自己在原来房间进入过绿箱”的事实，但你又确实在原房间进入过绿箱，在别的房间内退出绿箱就会引起因果悖论。悖论是和绿箱所在的原房间有关的，理解这一点就能很清晰地入悖。除了改变绿箱所在的原房间外，还可以通过直接“除掉”绿箱的方法入悖论。
主线“箱子”关卡外还有两个“罐子”附加关，分别加入了“复制”（正六角形果冻）、“切换世界线”（钢锅）两种新机制。
先不说谜题进一步扩展了，就这个！可以“切换世界线”的钢锅！还能引起另一种“天堂”悖论！
我凤凰院狂喜！！！世界线开始变动！钢锅简直就是我的【命运探知の魔眼，Reading Steiner】！！！
欺骗自己，欺骗世界，这就是钢锅的真谛。

★缺点是没有撤回功能，推错或进入死局只能重开本关。对于主线里不算长的普通关卡影响不大，但到了一些深层悖论关就有点难受，试错时间成本增大，一步错可能要重复好多进程。
This game was a lot of fun. I've never quite imagined a puzzle game where you can go into endless loops of the same exact level layout by tossing chests that allow you to warp to different pocket dimensions to make it to the end of the level, it's a concept unheard of in a puzzle game before. While we have Portal's iconic portal gun being able to traverse through a single test chamber with the right execution, this game has a similar concept although handled differently in most ways. Each level has quite a lot of depth and it actually has a pretty tough challenge that really makes you think outside the box(no pun intended), and the dialogue for the ring being found in the levels are actually kind of amusing to listen to. You should definitely give this game a try for yourself if you're looking for a challenging puzzle game with some unique twists on the gameplay loop.

有点意思，把机制理解之后感觉过关轻松不少，打完再改评价
游戏优点：
没有任何课程或教材比Recursed更能把递归解释清楚，也同样可以用来理解FP。

缺点，这几个缺点其实相当annoying：
1.平台跳跃是个缺陷，人的肉眼没有办法一眼看出高度，应当添加一些辅助网格grid用于测量高度，很多次我思路几乎是正确的，但是就因为估算跳跃高度的时候没估准，或者就没想到能够跳上去，以为那种高度是跳不上去的，是需要垫脚石的，导致绕了大圈子，完全背离了路线，导致体验有缺。这就类似于portal传送门地图中的No Elements类型的谜题，很难找到路线，高度难以丈量。
2.代表线程的cauldron大锅应当被涂上颜色，和背景一样，不应该加重记忆负担。
Ice Palace和A Day Out可以尝试但不太推荐，适合喜欢痛苦和折磨的人，趣味性有但不多，和做数学题一样很难受，了解以下特殊技巧即可收手：
1.绿色物品于房间的坐标在飞行或降落过程中是会被保存的，也就是说可以在绿色物品处于空中时切换房间，实现空中接力的效果，可以去本篇的Submerge和Drop关卡使用这个技巧以达到速通。
2.锁和浮块有一个特殊作用，可以用来遮挡绿色物品，防止被死水影响。
3.在边缘或者水上使用block架起绿色物品，在切换房间的过程中实现绿色物品自由落体。
本篇还有一些速通的技巧：
抛物线投掷，比如Bridge那关可以不开中间那把锁，比如Embed(diamond)关，可以直接将箱子斜抛到下方，虽然失误率比较高。
Jar-jump，进入jar的一瞬间可以实现负重跳跃和空手跳跃一样高度，这个不清楚是如何操作的，too powerful，直接破坏了很多谜题的初衷。
This is probably my favourite puzzle game of all I've played, and I've played a lot. There's a few that I really really liked, but if you ask me for only a single suggestion, this is it. And I have suggested it many times indeed.
The concept is so unique, the subtle humour perfectly matches the game's vibe, and the mechanics make for a really interesting and mind-bending experience. Being a programmer surely helps with understanding the game's quirky concepts but is in no way a requirement and you can enjoy it anyway. If you like your brain being fried a little in the process that is :)

Great ideas.However,there is a bug which makes its playing process bad.After I pressed on fullscreen button to satisfy my screen some times,the bug happened.When I get in the game next time,all text parts changed into black cube/codes. Redownload and repair function with steam can't fix it. In this situation I can't enjoy it entirely.(though other image parts in the levels is right.T v T
Update 9.13：images in the menu page seems have problems too,despite the correct part,it may also shows something chaos about steam tips in the outer space,and Steam recording function can't run properly.
Update 9.14：If you meet this bug,then try opening the game only by exe file of it in Windows file explore,not steam.and all things will run OK.And disable steam backstage recording is another good way.So the bug may come from steam recording function.Conflict between them:)

Very challenging puzzles! I really recommend this game if you like to do logical puzzles. Whoever created the levels is a genius! Some of them really require some outside the chest thinking, as if you want to find a solution that was not intended to be a solution to find out that it was the intended solution. I am very proud in my achievement to get all crystals, diamonds, and rubies in the Tapestry. Still got three more hidden achievements to go though.
This is an incredibly good, creatively put together, game.
There are a handful of levels that I find to be silly one-off tricks that I felt detracted from the game a bit, but mostly the game is good. Obstruction, Pillar, Interlock, and Blister are some especially good levels.

challenging puzzle game and quite mindbending
few so called 'eureka moment' and more 'i understand how this is solved mechanically, can i be bothered to plan it out?'. Having to write down the series of chest recursions you need to juggle a couple dozen times becomes tedious with no satisfaction in solving the 'puzzle' you conceptually knew you could solve from the beginning. the level 'escalate' in the void area is a prime example. But many levels have a similar lack of satisfying solutions. It would benefit a lot from using the environment more in creative ways as we see very sparingly (such as usingf the exit jump out of a chest to do a low jump and avoid a ledge) The paradox rooms are definitely the strongest part of the game but by the end area fall into the same tedium as Escalate.
Not really "fun" in the traditional sense. Once the mechanics are understood, the puzzles seem to be difficult because of short term memory. Another review I read tapped into what the game becomes without thinking it was a bad thing, but I do think it is a bad thing: once you realize how a puzzle should be solved, you don't feel excited by the eureka moment, you feel bored in advance by having to implement the solution

It uses concepts of recursion, pointers, instantiation, destructors, and go-tos, without code. But, with chests, jars, cauldrons, and green magic.

A really fun, hard puzzler based around recursion. I thought this game and the puzzle design were pretty perfect up until the final two worlds. At that point some of the puzzles, especially with fissures and jars started feeling tedious and often times I would realize what I needed to do to solve the puzzle but the setup or chain of events was too much to store in my head at once. You probably want to use a paper/pen to keep track of the recursion/state in the final levels.
Will play Ice Palace once my brain is less fried.

有点可惜之处,从房间A1进入绿箱子到房间B1,再想办法把绿箱子放进房间C1. 当从房间B1退出时直觉上是从绿箱子出来,从而进到房间C1,然而游戏判断要求你必须是从进箱时的房间出来,也就是房间A1出来,而绿箱子已经不在A1了,就莫名其妙进了悖论关,个人感觉有点不合理.

最后给个tip，请各位记住一条核心机制，你进入宝箱时，不算你离开当前的房间，道具也不会重置，只有离开宝箱时才算，靠着宝箱套娃是可以倒转这个规则的，但也可能走进死胡同，总之自己研究吧，所以我才说后出的悖论箱那么像它
无穷箱子做推箱腾挪和嵌套机制结合的很不错，然而这游戏的平台跳跃让人感觉没啥有机结合的必要，尤其丢东西真是神烦

Flight Ruby is peak.
Playing this in 2025, after Patrick's Parabox, makes this game feel less impressive and more limited. I might even recommend PP over this, particularly for lots of QOL features like undo and seeing the whole puzzle. But this came 6 years before! I still am enjoying my time with this perplexing game and if you're looking for something to bend your mind it's a good pick.
This is a tough puzzle platformer game. And when I mean tough, I mean almost impossible to complete without hints or some guidance.
Graphics, controls, and music departments are really good. You won't notice anything out of place. A very small tutorial will show you the basic controls but then you are basically on your own. Bear in mind that there's a hidden move that is almost mandatory and the tutorial omits, down + jump to get down from cubes and thin floors. You have to understand and deduce how the world components interact with each other, and as the title implies, expect a lot of recursion as game mechanic.
Recursion sounds like a fun puzzle idea, but in reality it gets very easy out of control. Advanced levels tend to combine every possible mechanic, where you will have to remember how many recursion levels are you in, what items are in each, different "parallel" worlds, and other gameplay features. One mistake can immediately make the level unbeatable. There's a raven that appears when the level is unwinnable to signal that you have to restart, but that only seems to work on the easier first puzzles.
I beat the game, but unfortunately I had to recur to hints. A lot of hints, I manage to beat most puzzle games without them, but this one is definitely something else. The game also has hidden diamonds and rubies that are the ultimate challenge. You need to bend the rules to even get access to the puzzles that contain those.
There are hints of a plot though audio logs but in the end that's just a red herring that just stop after the main puzzle games are done. There's also custom puzzle packs made by the community, so that's a nice feature if you really love the game and want more.
To summarize, I really enjoyed the first 3 worlds. Game mechanics and world complexity will escalate fast.

Але при цьому, варто зауважити причини, за яких я не маю бажання продовжувати у це грати.
Сюжет подається через озвучені нотатки жахливої якості (як у плані написанні, так і в плані озвучки). Левелдизайн гри місцями відчувається дуже незграбно та неелегантно. Недостатньо QoL фіч, хоча б вкрали перемотку часу з брейду (бо гра ну дуже явно їм надихалася).
Нормальна головоломка, але незважаючи на певні нові ідеї, мені здалася трохи вторинною.

Recursed is a very unmemorable game. There are very few "aha" moments where the solution suddenly clicks and you feel like you're having a brainblast, and the puzzle solutions get incredibly complex and lengthy. It also has very bad QoL, with no undo, and no ability to see any rooms other than the one you're in.
...this game is brilliant because all of these sins somehow cancel each other out and turn into a game that's incredibly fun, radically different from any other puzzle game I've played, and extremely important to me.
When I first played the game, I was pretty bad at puzzles and just fumbled around randomly. Because there were no aha moments, I didn't get much reward out of playing it and didn't find it fun. Eventually I hit a brick wall. However, at that point I realized the aforementioned design choices meant I was forced to plan out the entire solutions to each puzzle in my head before executing them, so I'd know exactly what to do. So I tried to start planning my solutions, and as I solved more puzzles, I noticed I started developing this godlike power to look at the puzzle, imprint the whole thing into my short-term memory, use logic to deduce the solution step by step, and watch the magic happen. This obviously didn't mean I got the puzzles first try, but I could use feedback the game gave on my failed attempts to alter my logic until getting the solution.
A lot of puzzle games try to trick the player into thinking exactly what the developer wants them to think at every point in the game, so it feels like the game is reading your mind. I applaud that too, but this is the complete opposite. These incredibly intricate solutions truly felt like [b]I[/b] created them entirely within my own brain, with the game only serving as a helping hand at certain points. It felt like I was having a brainblast while playing it.
So yeah this game basically taught me how to plan, and thus get good at puzzles. I hope it will do the same to you, and offer the same feeling of sheer power over the solutions [b]you[/b] will truly have invented.
Objectively a very well made puzzle game, but the levels get really convoluted and you can softlock yourself with one misinput. As someone who is bad at complex puzzles and hates redoing steps over and over, I really wish it had a Baba is You style undo button.
