re:fresh é um jogo simples e muito bonitinho, onde você controla um robô ajudando a reconstruir sua vila após uma grande tempestade. A proposta é leve e acolhedora, com gráficos fofinhos e um estilo visual simples que combina bem com o clima do jogo. A história é bem rasa e os personagens são ok, nada muito marcante, mas ainda assim o jogo consegue transmitir um certo carinho em tudo que faz. A gameplay segue a linha de um coletathon de plataforma, focado em explorar, coletar itens e avançar de forma tranquila, sem grandes desafios. É aquele tipo de jogo perfeito pra quando você quer algo rápido, relaxante e descompromissado, mais pela sensação agradável do que pela profundidade.

К сожалению, эта первая милая игра, на которую я напишу отрицательный отзыв... Ожидания, увы, не оправдались.
Начнем же с плюсов:
+ Приятная графика, да она простая, но довольно приятная
+ Милый главный герой робот, я в восторге от них, очень мило
+ Приятная мелочь в виде костюмов, но хотелось бы побольше взаимодействий с ними, что-то вроде одеться как-нибудь для взаимодействий и т.п
Минусы:
- Самая главная проблема, которая была лично у меня, то у меня залагали достижения :( Построила мост, колокол повесила, клетки собрала, но они не засчитались. После перезапуска засчитались клетки, но потом залагала сама игра. Видимо там должна была быть финальная сцена, где мы идем домой после постройки колокола. Мы говорили с мэром и должны были уходить. В этот момент я вышла из игры, ведь достижения не засчитывало, зашла обратно, и мер ведет себя так будто колокол не построен... Неприятный осадок :(
- Лично у меня была проблема с тряской камерой во время прыжка. Даже, если игра рассчитана на консоли, то эта тряска камеры вверх и вниз крутит голову, хотелось бы иметь кнопку, чтобы отключить эту возможность
- Парочку багов:
1. Несколько раз застревание в текстурах земли, и получается такой полет в земле
2. В настройках почему то включился испанский, хотя я играла на английском
- Как по мне она еще и много весит, около 4 гигов, для такой малюсенькой игры очень много
- Много не нужных механик скорее:
1. Все эти семена, большая часть вообще не нужна. Хотя, возможно, если бы игра не залагала, я бы за них могла залутать все остальные костюмы, но увы
2. Эти испытания с кроликом, на скорость. Вообще ничего не дают. ВООБЩЕ. Хотя, может это я слепая и в первый раз он и отдает частичку клеток, но в основном это просто для себя, это ничего не дает

У меня были большие надежды на эту игру, что обидно. Хотелось пройти её и понаслаждаться атмосферой, но увы. По хорошей скидки как сейчас (рублей 90-80) брать можно, но вот 200... Конечно, не хотелось обсуждать цену игры, но смотря на неработающие достижение и такой сильный баг...
Может потом перепройду, но пока желания нет.

这游戏的作者们可以是一个好的关卡策划，但绝对不是一个好的任务策划，因为他在任务引导上做得极其抽象。比如镇长让你在石头上找冲刺靴那段，关键提示仅仅在剧情里提了一句。一旦不小心跳过这么小小的一句，整个流程彻底就会断掉……记事本上的待办任务依然是0，你完全不知道下一步该干嘛。更离谱的是，镇长头上明明一直顶着个感叹号，但其实对话文本根本没变，去跟他对话他也不会有任何反应，到了结局你才知道，这个感叹号tm会持续到结局！而玩家又不是游戏设计师，我怎么知道？！因为文本没变化！这种卡流程的体验让人非常烦躁。

再加上系统根本没有经过充分的调教，各种 Bug 横飞。比如进剧情的时候如果你切了菜单，或者刚好处于下落状态，剧情一出来游戏就会直接卡死。再比如两段Level Sequence之间，可以被菜单卡住等等，导致摄像机无法更新等等。这种未经打磨的系统，经常让我分不清自己到底是没找对任务流程，还是单纯遇到了游戏 Bug，我到最后都没建立起对这个游戏的信任感！我甚至因为进剧情按了菜单，以为是bug卡住了流程，被迫重开了一次档，这也让我确信：除了关卡之外，作者在任务流程和QA上根本没有好好服务玩家。

作为核心体验的 3C 部分，角色控制和镜头也没有好好调教。跳跃的时候极容易晕 3D，因为镜头碰到任何大小的障碍物默认全是推拉弹簧臂，而不是做半透处理或者其他，越跳越晕。并且空气控制并不算优秀却有大量跳跳乐，落地的停步也让人非常难受。还有个非常反人类的 UI 设计：对话选项居然不能用方向键，只能用摇杆！我经常本能地按下方向键然后按确定，结果不仅没选到下面的选项，还直接结束了对话，配合上任务流程指引经常藏在不可回溯的剧情对话中，真不知道作者是怎么想的。

在关卡引导上，“跳跳乐”挑战第一次出现的位置也非常容易误导人。作者把它直接放在了蘑菇林的主线流程必经之路上，让人潜意识觉得必须完成这个高难度的跳跳乐才能解锁关键道具（比如后面要提交的零件）。结果死磕了半天才发现它只是个送服装的额外挑战。这也让我第一次深刻认识到：优秀的文字引导是非常必要的。并不是说所有“非文字引导”就一定高级，死板地拒绝文字提示反而会毁了体验。NPC 的摆放位置、不同进度下的对话差分，这些流程细节往往和关卡设计一样重要。

游戏的节奏把控也有些失衡。到了中期进展突然飞快，电池等能力爆发式增长。虽然作为一款“甜品级”游戏，这种加速带来了一定的爽感，但也严重透支了游戏寿命。更要命的是，这种断层的节奏配合极其脆弱的任务系统，让我时时刻刻都陷入“我又没任务了？我接下来要干嘛？”的焦虑中。虽然关卡像游乐园一样给了我很足的探索感，但我总害怕自己四处乱逛会导致主线逻辑卡死，最后功亏一篑。

……果不其然，最后真的功亏一篑了。在修复市政厅的最后阶段，仅仅因为我和镇长对话点得太快，导致在进入下一段剧情前，再次触发了对话，结果硬生生把后面那段 Level Sequence 给卡没了。镜头不仅没切，镇长没消失，隔壁的 NPC 也没刷出来，任务流程彻底卡死。（你说为什么剧情我点的飞快？因为这剧情文本透露着一股人机感，最后 Staff 那里，“中文本地化”写成了“中国人”，验证了我认为这游戏是机翻的猜想）

最后查攻略才知道要“回家”才能推进，幸好回家后触发了结局任务。我卡丢了任务文本，要不是简中互联网有唯一的一个流程视频，我根本不知道为要回家。

总之，无论它的关卡做得有多好，面对这样一个无处不在都是流程 Bug、极度缺乏打磨和 QA 的半成品，这种让人身心俱疲的体验，力竭的我只能给差评了。

顺便一提，展示Staff的结局画面，我又又又卡流程了，退出游戏按钮也按不了。而这只因为我切过一次屏幕，太棒啦！

Re:Fresh könnte ein wunderbarer kleiner Plattformer sein, der mit einer sympathischen Geschichte und unkompliziertem Plattforming eine schöne, kurzweilige Unterhaltung bietet. Leider haben die Entwickler etwas geschlampt, weshalb das Ganze zum Frust statt zum Spass wird.

Schon der erste Eindruck ist zwiespältig. Im Optionsmenü überlappen sich Texte und irgendwie passt nicht alles richtig ins Fenster, sodass gewisse Dinge leicht aus dem Bildschirm verschwinden. Beides ist an sich überhaupt nicht tragisch, zeigt aber schon ein Grundproblem des Spiels: Hier wurde einfach nicht wirklich sauber zu Ende gearbeitet.

Nach dem Intro findet man sich als kleiner Roboter auf einer Insel wieder und soll nach einem Sturm helfen, alles wieder aufzubauen. Dafür hüpft man durch das Level und sammelt Materialien. Und das ist zunächst durchaus unterhaltsam. Ja, die Grafik wirkt wie grauselig altbackene N64-3D-Grafik, wäre aber eigentlich völlig verschmerzbar. Und auch sonst könnte das Spiel durchaus kurzweiligen Spass machen. Wenn da nicht die Steuerung wäre, die die Entwickler leider völlig in den Sand gesetzt haben.

Am Anfang funktioniert das Ganze noch halbwegs gefällig. Schon da wird es immer wieder etwas mühsam, weil Präzision schwierig ist. Aber noch ist alles managbar, dann fällt man halt mal runter und versucht es eben nochmals. Im Laufe des Spiels schlägt das jedoch in völligen Frust um, wenn plötzlich mehr Präzision gefordert wird oder eine Passage exakt absolviert werden muss, weil sich in diesem Gebiet der Mehrfachsprung nicht wieder auflädt. Das ist unnötig frustrierend in einem Plattformspiel, in dem ich meine Spielfigur nicht richtig kontrollieren kann.

Denn genau das ist das Gefühl: Die Steuerung der Figur in der Luft ist sehr mühsam und wirkt oft etwas wild, sodass präzise Landungen schwierig sind. Und selbst wenn man einmal richtig landet, reicht oft schon ein kleiner Nudge in die falsche Richtung, damit die Figur losspaziert und direkt wieder herunterfällt. Und je länger die Sprungpassagen werden, desto mühsamer wird das Ganze. Die meisten Plattformer haben Mechaniken, um genau solche Situationen etwas abzufedern. Hier scheint das völlig zu fehlen. Dadurch wird aus einem eigentlich gefälligen Plattformer bald nur noch ein mühsames Frustbewältigungstraining. Und nein, das macht keinen Spass. Zumal der Rest des Spiels zwar durchaus okay ist, aber eben auch nur okay und weit davon entfernt, wirklich herausragend oder besonders zu sein.

Fazit: Ein sympathischer Plattformer, der zwar nichts wirklich Besonderes macht, aber mit seiner mühsamen Steuerung etwas vom Entscheidensten ganz schlecht macht. Dadurch wird das Ganze zu einem unnötigem Frust und darum gibt es von mir ganz klar keine Empfehlung.

Re:Fresh is a bite sized 3D platformer collectathon with a cute pastel aesthetic that sadly fails to stick the landing. Slippery controls, bad collision, threadbare narrative and vast but empty spaces hold it back from any form of replayability.

It takes structural inspiration from A Short Hike, bringing you into a space divided in sections that will be difficult to reach until you find that one resource that provides more mobility. The problem was that Re:Fresh didn't also apply interesting inhabitants or sidequests for us to have something more to do in all of this space that has gone largely unused. The scale of things is also over the place, with threes and other buildings obscuring the screen while you angle your camera. On top of that, collision based bugs abound, in my hour and a half of playtime I got stuck falling onto the floor twice for starting a cutscene while I was landing, then between a staircase and a mountain also twice, then inside a tree, then between two rocks on a slope I supposedly could walk on, then on windmill blades I was absolutely supposed to use as platforms but they move and the character got stuck in the animation, and I had to restart.

The narrative is that there was a storm and you help the people by gathering resources and repairing their stuff and also the mayor is like a bit of a meanie but no one reacts to that and while he's the only character with some character, nothing gets explored beyond Tumblr nightposty dialogue. And I like my Tumblr nightposts, but they're not a replacement of writing. One of those resources are solar batteries that let you jump more and dash, you'll have as many additional jumps and dashes as you have batteries, which did give Re:Fresh a second burst of fun because jumping and dashing is fun.

And then it ended.

It is a cute game, but it's not a good one. It's empty, uncomfortable to handle some of the time and empty the rest of the time. When it starts getting interesting, it ends and that's little to do with the length, because the island of Clover could have been populated with more stuff to do, or have more interesting and involved characters, or had anything that made an impression besides the cute art direction. There's nothing to come back to, not even the racing challenges.

一个平台跳跳乐游戏，画风简洁，角色设计也算可爱，不过NPC没什么存在感。尽管游戏商店给出的预估游玩时间是1.5小时，但只要你光电池够多，用多段跳或冲刺解决或直接绕过大部分的风车平台，那么时间还可以更短。另外多嘴一句，这段设计实在不尽人意，一动起来经常卡人脚，而且作为一个高低差显著的环节居然没有传送点，如果掉到山崖底部可以说是前功尽弃，这部分要是长一点那它估计要挨个差评了

还有一个小小的问题就是木台阶会卡脚，导致上台阶需要跳着上去，你说是游戏没有设计角色遇到过低障碍物时能自动跨越的功能，那它有几步还能正常走，结果定睛一看是木台阶建模的间隔只要大一点就不行了，额额

不过都有那么多光电池了，跳着走路也没啥问题

依旧是打发时间的话可以试一下

such a good game, wish there was dlc so i could continue playing. the controls aren’t as bad as other reviews make it seem, just needing some getting used to, and the soundtrack is great! the game is quite short, only an hour and a half or so, but i quite enjoy replaying it every so often! i think it’s perfectly priced for the experience you get, and my only wish is for more content so i could play more! heavily recommend for a short 1 to 1 and a half hour play session, and it’s fun to mess around in even after beating the main story.

A rare piece of trash in this genre, I bet the developers didn't even play the game they made. I got stuck on the windmill section, and despite consulting tutorial videos online, my character kept sliding down when trying to find a landing spot on the windmill, no matter what I did. This is clearly a huge bug, or a terrible design flaw. Please stop trying to soften every single detail of the graphics.

As a student project this would probably be fine, as a $5 game, it's rather sad. Go around, collect stuff, fix stuff etc. There's physics are janky/slidy and the jumping just doesn't feel tight, yet the Dev(s) have made time trials which give you almost no room for error and 2 of them are required to beat the game.
Buy it, put a 2 hour timer on, get your achievements and refund it. I got all achievements in 2 hours easily.
Dev(s), please add more content if you want people to enjoy. A few characters with some more interesting interactions would be fine, or if you had about 4 more worlds of the same size it might be worth $1. As it is I got this from a Fanatical Bundle for less than $1 per game and it fits that, but just barely

[i]Re:Fresh[/i] takes place in a land where humanoid-shaped machines and two-legged animals live together. Playing as the former, you need to help people in the town you live in. They all need materials, and you can find them lying throughout the areas. This makes exploration the main meat of the game, where you need to collect the same items several times and give them to the quest giver whenever you have enough.

Despite it not having a minimap and item tracker, it's never an issue to find these materials. The game places more materials than you need to finish the game throughout the area, so as long as you scour the area thoroughly, you'll find enough to finish the game. However, sometimes, NPCs will ask you to find a unique item, and some of them can be tricky to find. Moreover, the game doesn't give any hints if you can't manage to find it.

The game has an unusual movement for a platformer. Running can be toggled, and jumping feels like floating. It can take a while to get used to it, although I like how the game provides many power-ups that can be used to run faster or give extra jumps. Although I enjoy collecting the materials in the first few areas, the last area can be annoying to explore. There are these turbines that will move after a few seconds, and if you get hit by them, you'll have to backtrack a long way to return where you were. The difficulty seems to spike around this area, and the area is designed to make it hard to find where you need to go.

Controls can be awkward. Changing direction is usually done by rotating your camera, especially due to how the areas are designed. It's not rare for you to jump onto a platform far away from you, making it harder to achieve if your camera is not positioned with the target to the north of you. However, sometimes, your camera can be moved automatically whenever you use the dash ability, which happens often when you encounter an uneven terrain.

The game is meant for a casual player. However, despite that, there is a time trial session at each area where you have to beat a certain time to get a certain item. Although the rewards are not needed to beat the game or get all achievements, the difficulty is certainly not meant for casual players. People who are experienced with platformer games might be able to beat them easily, but it will take several tries for casual players to finish. Moreover, the time needed to beat the trial tends to have little room for errors, making it harder to beat.

The game is very short. I finished it in 3.3h after beating all time trials and getting all collectibles. The game can be way shorter if you just finish it without doing those that are not needed for 100% achievement. The main game's difficulty isn't hard, and if you are having trouble, you can always go to the other place first to gather more power-ups before proceeding. The last two areas can be finished in any order that you want, after all.

[i]Re:Fresh[/i]' platforming sections might feel weird due to the jumping ability that feels like floating, but it's still fun to explore the whole area to find the collectibles. The game isn't without its shortcomings, though. The time trials can be too hard to finish for casual players, the target audience of this game. You rely on your camera a lot whenever you change direction, although that can be easily changed due to the uneven ground. Due to those problems and the game's short length, I'd rather recommend buying it on sale.

I'm genuinely impressed that such a short game can be so buggy and annoying with its janky controls. The story can easily be beaten in less than an hour if you know what you're doing. Even if you take your time exploring and completing all the challenges that's barely 2 hours. I know it's very cheap and made by a small developer team but I can't recommend it.

Very short, controls are janky and the challenges were impossible to do if I wanted to keep my sanity, fortunately they were optional so I skipped them. Town feels lifeless, there isn't too much personality in characters... It's a mixed bag. But I see what the game was supposed to be, for that length and price. It is very pretty and suprisingly, despite the flaws, actually kind of fun. I think it's because it was so short I didn't really mind the negatives. If you're in a mood for a cozy and chill collectathon, it's a nice game to spend a hour or two in.

前两个图很简单、第三个图难度MAX（错误）
跟着风扇节奏跳半天死活上不去、结果去B站搜唯一的攻略发现直接沿着墙原地跳上去就行··
也很简单了说是

有恶性BUG
如果触发NPC对话和跳跃/冲刺同时发生、结束对话后人物会卡死

评测的时候发现标签有个LGBTQ+、emmm
不就机器人和福瑞吗··

Re:Fresh is a short, simple 3D platformer that doesn't do anything special, and that's perfectly ok. The premise is simple, a storm has caused damage to the town you live in, and you have to help residents gather the materials to fix it up. You jump and dash around the town collecting materials and finding upgrades that let you jump and dash more, it's simple, and fun. At only around an hour and a half if you're trying to do and find everything, I think it's perfectly priced at $5. I think this is actually a great game for people who might be getting into games of 3D platformers and I actually found it quite fun to be flying through the air in the end game, being able to traverse across huge distances without touching the ground. There's 3 areas of the town and they all have their own little feel and gameplay mechanics which did a job of keeping you engaged and the game interesting. I could totally see children, or more casual gamers really enjoying this and it was a fun way to start my day, being able to finish the game before I even had breakfast. This game should NOT have very positive reviews.

It's a janky platformer and a boring collectathon. Luckily, platforming isn't actually needed to 100% it -- which is something I did in 1 hour.

The game feels like a first project, rough draft, etc. It's got potential but it's short, janky, and over very quickly. It's an easy 100%.

I do find it funny that the game has optional trials that you can do that require jumping through Superman 64 style hoops using this game's janky controls. I'm very, very glad I did not need to 100% those.

I definitely don't think Re:Fresh is abhorrent. It's an unoffensive game that I got in a bundle. I was actually super excited to jump into it as I LOVE collectathons and the screenshots looked promising. However, as soon as I got into the game I realized how empty it felt.

I would NOT pay money outside of a bundle for this game. Even then, I think there's much better ways to spend an hour.

Re:Fresh is an easy 3D platformer collectathon that shares a lot of similarities with Spyro Reignited (except this one has no violence).

The story is simple. Following a storm, your character quickly decides to help rebuild the town.
It's a short cosy, prosocial story revolving community, nature and technology.
And for a short game its all it needs.

The graphic design is bright and full of colors, the characters are emotive and cute and the world has this bright & colorful solarpunk theme.

It's fun, beautiful and short.
Easy to recommend if that's what you're looking for!

To me personally, what’s missing here is more of what’s already in the game.
The core themes can benefit from a stronger emphasis: the fusion of nature and technology, the way the townsfolk naturally interact with their environment, how that connects to the main character who is a robot and even how the main character’s abilities and upgrades tie back to the technology of the story.

I’d also like to see more prosocial and mutualistic elements - not just helping the townsfolk to rebuild and move on, but helping individuals too.
Have some characters interact with the world not only in ways that shows how they live in it, but in ways that as a robot you can't, and vise versa.
Even have some robots do something you can't; all of this can encourage the player to engage their imagination with the game's Worldbuilding on a deeper level.
Maybe add small personal requests that don’t affect progression but actually mean something to specific characters. That would add emotional weight and maybe give the background characters more depth and connection to you, the town and each other.
I'd add that I personally want the game to go a step further and play around with ideas of altruism.
Maybe have the main character give up something - even temporarily - solely to serve the community out of love, care and found appreciation for what it means not just to your character, but hopefully at some point of the game to you the player as well.

I would have loved to see the game show the impact you have on the world in more ways than just a visual change.
More ways to interact with what you repair so the town feel more alive and reactive.

Lastly, I would love to have a post-game; the opportunity to see everyone again after everything from the main plot is fixed and interact with them again to see what they're up to and how they're doing.
Right now, after you finish the game; pressing "continue" just drops you before the ending.

I also kind of want a reason to collect every single item in the game but as far as I can tell, there's no real meaning to doing it.

Cozy casual collectathon platformer, similar in vibes to A Short Hike or Smushi Come Home.

Unfortunately there is a game breaking bug: if after talking to an NPC a cutscene is going to play but you talk to them before it plays, you will soft lock, and your save file will be corrupted. (The cutscene event is marked as triggered but the game didn't progress.) Since this game is 3 years old and this hasn't been fixed, it will probably stay this way. So be careful.

It took me 2 hours to get all achievements, without the optional time challenges.

Very short, cozy game where you quest and jump, it has a strong 3D platformer focus. I’d say it has max ~2 hours of content and a small map with like 4 islands.
Story is questionable, you just fix the town after a storm. The way NPCs talk feels like it was written for a 5-year-old gamer 15 years ago.
For this low price it’s fine, I’d say.

Platforming in the initial stages gave me flashbacks to Kingdom Hearts (think floaty with a little slip and slide on the landing) but you will quickly overcome this with the plentiful and generous upgrades!

Re:Fresh is a third person collectathon/platformer with colourful low-poly graphics, some annoying music, and some truly unnecessary dross (the solar beans or whatever they are that you will collect en masse and that are only useful for buying outfits for your robotic avatar, and you don't even have any achievements connected to unlocking accessories, so there's really no point in a two hour game....).

However, the gameplay loop (mastering double, then triple, then quadruple, etc etc jumps as well as eventually a dash function) of leaping and running about collecting wood and wires and solar cells and so on to complete tasks for the villagers is pretty darned fun and just challenging enough to keep you trying to perfect your next set of jumps up to an item far above you.

It's a little short, but then again you'll have mastered the primary gameplay loop by the end of the second main island (forest), so when you show your mastery in the the third and final region (Cliffs) you're going to feel like wrapping it up anyway. TLDR, it's pretty brief, but you won't mind because you'll have conquered everything in a satisfactory way by that point anyway.

So...........it's nothing too special, but it's fun to play and it doesn't wear out its welcome.

Cute atmosphere, but just too insubstantial. Took less than 2 hours to do everything, and it seemed extra pointless to be collecting things when I had completed all the missions. Also, as others have mentioned, the controls were very floaty, so trying to jump up and around a tree could be very frustrating. Also some things were solid that I didn't expect to be solid - on the time trial challenge, there's a little branch on a tree that's small but sticks out into the path and held me up multiple times because I couldn't even see it and couldn't tell why I was stuck.
In the end, I was glad I got it on sale...

A fine short and simple 3D platformer. If you have a kid or you want to introduce someone to 3D platformers that could be a good way to start. It's not frustrating, or really challenging; the visuals are nice and so is the music. For me the movement can be a little floaty at times but it's not a big problem because there is no real need for pixel perfect precision in this one

Fun little cozy platformer collectathon, played great on Deck. Controls can be a bit floaty at times but otherwise solid, feels great. The named npcs and their dialogue felt unique and welcoming.
Took around 2 hours to get everything done and get all achievements, I somehow softlocked my progress after finishing the first area but managed to redo it on a fresh save in ~10 minutes so I wasn't mad.
Pick it up and save it for a rainy day to kill some time!

This is a very short game with a very simple story. 100%'d it in about an hour and a half but I wasn't particularly thorough about it.
It was nice. The platforming was satisfying if a bit floaty, I liked being able to slingshot parkour my way around but there wasn't a terrible lot to focus on.
The worst part about it is that the town seems very empty and a little bit lonely. The people are friendly but sparse for the size and there are only a handful of things to do and stuff to fix. Lore is there but not really required, you go one place and then the other and collect whatever gatherable material shows up in your draw distance.

I recommend it because it kept my attention long enough to see what was coming next, and didn't waste my time by dragging it on. I wish it was a bit more exciting in the collectathon and a bit more interesting to feel more rewarding but it was very simple, kind, and straightforward ending. I didn't wander around for hours going "WHAT AM I DOING", and I didn't have to look up where anything was because I stumbled towards it just by wandering in the way they nudged me towards.
I bought it on sale for 2.50 and I thought it was worth my time.

Spent it laying on my couch on the steam deck with a cup of chai before bed while the husband watched soccer. Wasn't a bad way to spend my evening.

A very short & easy collectathon. The movement is nice.
The sprint toggling is a nice idea but either I would toggle it by accident or the game would? idk.
However this one EASILY has the worst camera controls I have ever experienced. It's constantly auto correcting itself in the worst directions opposite of where you need to go. I managed to do everything except that last optional cell-limited time trial good lord did I almost pull my hair out because of the camera.

Other than that for $2.50 at 50%....If I did my research and knew how short it really was I might have passed on it but at the same time it's not bad. Debatable.

Very cute art style, story is whatever, I honestly didnt care for it at all nor the characters, music was nice. Basically you get a few quests all the same and you just collect stuff and hand it back in. The jumping for me was really weird to control at times, I always felt like I took a few extra steps forward every time I landed which made me fall off platforms, theres not too much direction where to go either you kinda have to figure it out yourself but other than that its a simple comfy game which is really relaxing to play and for the price it's worth it <3

Honestly, I didn't like this game because the jumps are floaty and you won't always land on the spot you aimed for. Which is very infuriating because the game requires combining air dashes, mid air jumps and leaps of fate and the floaty physics makes it unbearable or at least no fun. It would have been a little helpful if the character could grab edges to not fall but nope. The world is not big but a map would have been really beneficial since I won't know what NPC needs my assistance so I'd spend 10s of minutes looking for the next progress point. Not to mention I can't scan my surroundings properly because I can't zoom far back enough to look around and there are a lot of trees obstructing my view. Finally the game to me is bare bones and boring since gameplay is just fetch quests. My only positive for the game is that it looks cute and it's short.
It's alright if you don't mind the floaty physics, 100% is easy and the game is an hour long. I suggest picking this up on a heavy discount.

This is quite the charming experience. From beginning to end the vibes are cozy, immaculate like a blanket. There's no danger, no death, nothing dangerous to be had. Nah, it's just you, the broken world, and items to collect and use.

The progression feels like a nice incline, starting slow but rapidly advancing the further along you go. The more risks you take and the more platforming you mindset, the more it rewards sooner than later. Not just in abilities, but also moveset opportunities, cosmetics, and seeing the world rebuild over time. There's no tedium, there's no searching everywhere, it's pretty clear where to go from A to B.

In some ways it feels limiting, like yeah the area as a whole isn't that big. But in all honesty, Re:Fresh aims to optimize wherever possible. You can vibe to the music, you can rush ahead, it goes about the distance you want, provided that you're searching around. And that's why its size, while a detriment for replaying and the scope of content, is still strong- it was built around simplicity and how the player evolves over time.

One thing I appreciate is how it respects the player. It gives them the basic tools, but sprinkles abilities and movement options around without just spoonfeeding you. You'll have to work for each part, even if just barely, and it warrants exploration beyond "find the objects". The power cells are the big smile, with how they're placed and provided. Grabbing these might become essential down the road, but the game's gradual buildup for platforming spacing means they're useful for grabbing earlier. But it never directly tells you where- okay, the light beacon kinda does, but still. It begins as a puzzle of how to reach each one, and as the player gets more risky and acclimated with their capabilities, they get better and better. And heck, they can even take on Mr. Hoops for special cosmetics and parts. And also, the game doesn't require each piece, which is just nice.

I did encounter a glitch with the floor, like glitching into it. But it wasn't permanent, saving and quitting let me reload to normal.

Despite my short playthrough, I had a lot of fun with it, from start to finish. It might be $5 and it might be a bit steep for what it contains, but that's lengthwise. Because on the fun-o-meter, I guess you could say this was... re:freshing.

I just finished Re:Fresh, another game completed within one sitting. This will most likely be the case for most people as it took me 1.5 hours to complete the game with all the achievements. This time we’re dealing with a feel good exploration platformer. It’s the one where you see most collectibles in the distance and you’re trying to figure out how to get to them. The basic story is the town and the surrounding areas had a storm, it’s your job to fix things by bringing the materials to the quest givers. Honestly, the entire game is pretty much a fetch quest but it doesn’t bother me here at all. I’m the type who naturally collects everything I see in front of me and by the time I get to the quest givers, I already have everything they need. The NPCs also don’t talk too much and what they say is decently written/to the point. The story is an excuse to visit all the areas but it’s enjoyable to do so anyway. The controls need some getting used to but they’re good once you get the hang of the dash ability. You’ll feel satisfyingly super powerful after all the upgrades. In terms of flaws, there aren’t many and certainly not serious. It has a few minor (visual) glitches, the graphics are not the prettiest and while the controls are good, you need time to get used to them because they’re not perfect.

I had a blast jumping around and admiring areas from a distance. This is a good casual platformer to enjoy on a nice evening. The price of €5 is okay, it’s the max you can ask imo. I got it with a bundle and I wasn’t sure about it before but now, I’m glad to gotten it.

2/10. This game was a nightmare for me. The story is incredibly boring, everything seems dreary and clunky. The controls are poorly designed, the sound is often faulty, and the music is sometimes much too loud. The graphics aren't particularly good either, and the whole game feels unfinished.

Fun but somewhat short 3D Platformer Collectathon. Reminds me of A Short Hike in that the main movement mechanic is collecting things which give you another usage of a mid-air jump and eventually air-dash. Even the zone where you can't restore your jump usages until you fix the power thingy is similar to the frost sections where your feathers wouldn't return unless in a hot spring.

RECOMMENDED WITH A WARNING: anyone who, like me, relies on options like "turn off head bob" to avoid motion sickness might want to skip this one. While this game is in 3rd person, the entire game is platforming (jumping, dashing, generally bouncing around) and the jerky, bouncy movement of the character makes the camera move in exactly the wrong way.

It really makes you appreciate the work that goes into many platformers to smooth out camera movement, and is definitely something the devs should keep in mind for future endeavors.

Came to play this game after playing Gemporium! Wanted to see what else Merge Conflict had to offer.

Firstly, very cute and linear premise! Loved the art, chill music and the friendly mix of characters! Wish I could have helped clean up the town more even!

Now, I am not very good at platforming games so, I probably took longer on some things than others may take (specifically the tree jumping with no refresh of boosts). I will say too, the single jumps are very float-y.. making the jumps without refresh ability difficult. Overall, that was the most difficult section for me. So I can say difficulty level is pretty easy! If people want a challenge there are speed run mini games in each section (which I was not able to beat).

WHICH, THANK GOODNESS.. the speed challenges/collecting all cosmetics is NOT apart of achievements! Again, I am not great at platformers and immediately knew I would not be able to complete all the speed games. Would have been a bummer if it was tied to achievements with no accessibility options.

The game did have plenty of seedlings/parts so, no need to worry about being short for any of the towns repair needs. Happy too, that gathering all parts & seedlings was not an achievement either.

Circling back, there aren't any accessibility options. Do not see much of a need for any though? Main thing available was for camera sensitivity. Oh and toggle sprint. There wasn't any menu for controls unfortunately, didn't know left trigger was to center the camera until late game.

I also did have 2 sections that I got stuck in the map and had to wiggle free.. One at the very beginning, at the broken bridges/learning how to jump. Another in the Mushroom Forest when jumping onto a tree log at the very back of the forest. Also after all the credits, at the "End Game" screen, I couldn't properly move the controller to hit end game. When I tried to use my mouse it wouldn't work either, I had to exit the game tab instead.

TDLR; Short, sweet, semi-easy platforming game! Even someone like me, who is terrible at platforming, was able to complete it under 2 hours -w-b There really isn't any replay-ability unless you come back to this game as a *ReFresher* in a couple years.

Short and cute game I got from a cozy game bundle. I enjoyed playing through it, but it's hard for me to recommend this game because of how buggy it is. When I finished helping everyone in the first area, the picnic cutscene did not work properly. As soon as it started, it froze and I was forced to exit the game. The dash boots never spawned on the rocks where they should have, which made me unable to progress any further. I had to completely start over, which wasted 30 minutes of my time. It was super frustrating, and looking at the bug reports, many others have also experienced the same issue. On top of that, there were multiple times where I ended up being stuck in objects and unable to move, forcing me to exit the game and come back.

Re:Fresh is exactly the kind of short, cozy collectathon I didn’t know I needed.

I went in expecting a quick, one-hour platformer, and that’s exactly what I got. But it still managed to surprise me with how much I loved it.

This little indie game is part of Fanatical’s Cozy Game Bundle for under two bucks, which already makes it a steal. Funny enough, I had just added it to my wishlist after seeing it in a YouTube video, and then, as if the universe was listening, the bundle went live a couple of days later. It felt like a sign, and I’m glad I jumped on it.

You play as an adorable little robot helping a village get back on its feet. It’s short, maybe an hour to 100% with all the achievements, but in a world full of 40-hour open-world monsters, sometimes a small, tightly designed platformer is exactly what hits the spot.

The movement in Re:Fresh is simple but satisfying. The jumping is a bit floaty, but once you start collecting solar cells, things really pick up. Each solar cell gives you another mid-air action (whether that’s another jump or a dash), and by the end of the game, you’re bouncing and zipping across the map like it’s second nature. It nails that flowy, momentum-driven feel that good platformers thrive on.

What really caught me off guard, though, was the humor. The dialogue is genuinely funny, with the kind of fun writing that makes you feel like the devs had a smile on their faces the whole time. And then at the end of the credits, they include a picture of the entire team, which is such a small thing, but it made the whole experience feel even more personal.

This isn’t a game that’s trying to reinvent the genre or stretch out its runtime. It’s short, sweet, and full of personality. For the price, it’s almost criminal not to pick it up if you enjoy cozy, low-stakes platformers.

Re:Fresh is the kind of game that reminds you why short, indie experiences are worth your time. It’s like a warm cup of coffee... over quickly, but exactly what you needed.

A fetch-quest collectathon 3D platformer. Just run around and pick up stuff, go to NPC and deliver it, repeat, game is over.

Controls are a bit weird with Mouse+Keyboard, it works literally like a gamepad with your mouse being the one stick moving the camera around (and the character moves with the camera) and the WASD being the left analogue stick for movement. So you have to play it by just holding W to move forwards and then move sideways with the mouse as moving left and right with the AS conflicts with the mouse movements.

Very very simple. Cute I guess.

After coming off a big game that i've sunk hundreds of hours into... this was a nice "refresh"ing game to get a hold of, complete and move on over a night or two. Not too difficult to get 100% but the time trials can pose a challenge for those looking for one in the game.

La gestion de la caméra et plutôt bonne et ça rend le jeu agréable a jouer.
J'aurais aimé que le jeu dure un peu plus longtemps mais j'ai cru comprendre que c'était un projet étudiant donc je comprends que les ambitions devait être modérées.

C'est pour ce genre de jeu que je voudrais que les jeu indépendants aies plus de visibilité

Very cute, short little platformer. The music is peppy, the characters are adorable, and the graphics are simple but well-done and with a nice colour palette. Occasionally the more involved jumps were frustrating because the character would "slide" off the platform if you were just close enough to the edge, but just going back and finding more solar cells to get more mid-air jumps helped solve that before it got too irritating. I played with mouse and keyboard though, which might have been my problem lol. It does recommend a controller when you first start up the game. All in all a delightful little title.

Re:Fresh is a cheerful platformer with a fairly short playthrough, and you can tell that the devs put a lot of work into this. The characters and graphics are cute, the music is cozy, and the customization is minimal but it works well for this game.

I did encounter a few bugs: my character would sometimes "float" and I would be unable to move; this was fixed by exiting to menu and reloading, or sometimes my character would auto-reset. It wasn't game-breaking, but it was confusing the first time it happened. Also, sometimes the character would jump quicker than usual and fall in slow motion, which made parts like climbing trees and wind turbines quite difficult. After the credits rolled at the end of the game, I was unable to exit without force-quitting. I could see the quit button, but I couldn't interact with it.

The achievements were satisfying, and it was fun to collect the goodies across the map. If you like cute 3D platformers, then I say this is a good one!

Cute and charming platformer collectathon. Abysmal camera and sensitivity. It make the game a genuine nightmare. Especially the last cliff turbine area and the part where your double jump and dash DON'T recharge part. That one almost made me drop the game. Even with those 2 annoyances the game still took less than 2 hours. I can't recommend it with that little content and bad camera/sensitivity.
