Amazing concept, dull execution. Being blind and relying only on radio reports is immersive at first. The map UI is clean, base atmosphere is cool, and the Vietnam vibe is strong. But gameplay quickly turns into ask for position, confirm combat, fast-forward, repeat. Strategy feels shallow, just stack units and spam artillery/helicopters. Voice acting sounds stitched together, voice recognition didn’t work for me, and some bugs break immersion. Respect for the idea. The core gameplay just isn’t deep enough to carry it.

"Radio Commander: Vietnam '64" é uma experiência singular que subverte completamente o que esperamos de um jogo de estratégia em tempo real. O foco aqui é puramente na comunicação e na gestão da informação (via rádio) do que no controle direto de unidades, ao contrário de títulos como "Company of Heroes". Apesar de estarmos em uma tenda, longe do campo de batalha físico, creio que os apreciadores de simulações militares realistas e de jogos que exigem uma imersão profunda também irão apreciar a tensão constante de comandar tropas que você não consegue ver.

Eu disse que este jogo é focado na comunicação, mas é claro que há uma estratégia tática monumental envolvida, pois você depende inteiramente dos relatórios que recebe. No mapa de papel sobre a sua mesa, você deve posicionar manualmente os marcadores das suas unidades e dos contatos inimigos com base no que ouve pelo rádio. O jogador pode optar por enviar ordens de movimentação, solicitar suporte aéreo ou evacuações, mas o desafio é que não basta somente mandar as tropas avançarem; é preciso observar as coordenadas, considerar o cansaço dos soldados e o terreno denso da selva. Então não são apenas decisões de curto prazo, mas sim um exercício de visualização mental, e quem jogar vai sentir que o peso de uma coordenada errada pode ser fatal para seus homens.

A jogabilidade é bastante diferente de outros jogos do gênero e, na minha opinião, para melhor: o jogo remove a "visão divina" do comandante. Você só sabe o que está acontecendo se perguntar pelo rádio, e a resposta pode vir com atraso ou ser imprecisa devido ao caos do combate. É mostrado apenas o que você decide anotar no mapa; quando o inimigo ataca e você ouve os gritos e tiros pelo comunicador, a tensão é muito maior do que se estivesse vendo tudo em 3D, pois você precisa decidir o próximo passo apenas com fragmentos de informação. Houve situações em que perdi o rastro de um pelotão inteiro por não ter pedido um relatório de situação no tempo certo, o que em um cenário de guerra de guerrilha é assustadoramente realista.

Ainda sobre o comando, aqui há um conceito muito importante, que é o moral e a humanidade das tropas. Como comandante, suas decisões afetam o estado psicológico dos soldados. Por exemplo: se você os força a marchar sem descanso ou os coloca em situações suicidas, o moral cai e a eficiência em combate despenca. O jogo te coloca em dilemas morais pesados através dos diálogos via rádio, onde você precisa decidir entre completar o objetivo ou salvar uma vida. Se você não for cauteloso com as vidas sob seu comando e focar apenas nos relatórios de baixas inimigas, acabará sentindo o peso da responsabilidade — e isso faz parte da mecânica de imersão, transformando cada voz no rádio em uma pessoa real para o jogador.

Para finalizar, outra coisa que eu gostei: a ambientação sonora. Na tenda de comando, não fique apenas olhando para o mapa; ouça os detalhes, a chuva batendo na lona e o ruído estático do rádio, pois isso constrói uma atmosfera de isolamento fenomenal. Você não precisará ser rápido no mouse e no clique, mas antes é preciso ser cauteloso, metódico e saber ouvir.

Enfim, recomendo.

First playthrough review time.

I got this game for free, and it has an interesting concept for an RTS, but it doesn’t completely play like one yet. The campaign is very scripted and gives little room for players to make their own choices or change tactics. It mostly follows a fixed path made by the developers. While that can work for a story-driven game, it limits variety and makes each mission feel mostly the same. I haven’t tried the workshop content yet, so that part might offer more options.

The biggest problem I’ve noticed is the amount of issues in the campaign missions. Some maps fail to trigger important events, which forces a full restart even after spending a long time progressing. There are also times when invisible enemies or broken combat triggers stop units from moving or finishing objectives. Since the game relies a lot on interpreting limited information, these issues make it difficult to tell what is actually happening, breaking the overall flow.

In conclusion, the idea behind the game is good, but the current version struggles with too many technical and design issues. The scripting limits strategy, and the bugs make missions unreliable. With more fixes and improvements, it could become a much stronger and more stable strategy experience.

its good fun, i can't pass the 2nd mission in the campaign due to a weird bug where i lose all my men though, despite not having a single KIA and hardly any wounded.. I evacuated all the allied wounded as part of the secondary objective, and i very much enjoy the game itself, quick battle is a good time killer but i can't seem to win that one for some reason.. which puts me off playing but I recommend it regardless because it is fun when it works. Still waiting for the Pacific Commander to come out as well. Will probably get that too because of this one.

Ну это ♥♥♥♥♥♥ какой-то... Нажал бы рефанд, если б не купил за сотку на сайте с ключами. Вертолет репортит что "у него достаточно топлива", и уже через секунду топлива нет. Если забыл координаты отряда - делай запрос, потому что квадратики друг на друга не ставятся, они друг друга отпихивают. То ли я тупой слишком для этой игры, то ли лыжи не едут.
В любом случае, это аудиоигра с генератором случайных чисел и ваш игровой опыт зависит от вашего воображения - на самих солдат из отрядов вам посмотреть не дадут, напрямую их контролировать тоже, только через радиообмен. я понимаю, что это фича игры, но типа... я ожидал лучшего. по моему мнению игра сосет просто изза того, что нет "прямого контроля". Фраза "Its papa bear" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ уже через час.

- Why does every unit report every little scratch, why do I have to tell them everything? I know this is probably easier to program but I feel like I'm the only one doing the thinking here.
- I'm not sure why in the 2nd mission, after rescuing all the wounded soldiers, the next objective is to "rendez-vous" with no further detail, but when I do collect both units at the LZ and fly them out on helicopter, the mission just goes on. Shouldn't it be something like "stand by and survive the night"?

I've never been much of a fan of the RTS genre, but [i]Radio Commander[/i] was interesting (in some way) in the perspective it offered. In the RTS, you are generally the commander giving orders and strategizing the battle turn-by-turn but will typically have an overview of the field to see the positioning of the enemy as well. This game has you in the boots of a commander of the military during the Vietnam war, controlling American soldiers as you arrange them on a paper map detailing the country. I suppose before we had satellites, using maps was basically the key to war but that was well before my time. You do not see any physical combat, only hearing the action of your soldiers over the radio that you use to issue commands from as they engage with Vietcong or talk with civilians, etc. Unlike other RTS games, it depicts you, the player, sitting safely in your military camp. This tent that you comfortably reside is in your perpetual view of the game, having only your imagination to play out the battles and the movement of your soldiers as you complete your objectives in each campaign. You have different icons that you can pin to this map to try and keep track of your squad's current whereabouts, the enemy's locations, etc., or you can activate certain 'cheats' in the pause menu that just do all of this for you. It's meant to be more immersive, but I don't know if I prefer it to the standard RTS format. It gets boring with the same plain view of a map and soldiers outside of the tent doing pushups, in fact, the most fun I had in the game was drawing penises on the map using the draw tool. I like to imagine someone in the encampment stumbling upon the map and their reaction to such a defaced war map.

But what's probably even worse is the dialogue between the soldiers and radio commander. This is inauthentic to a true military experience as soldiers have what equates to casual conversations that you can react to, and this destroys the immersion they were trying to create. I highly doubt these communications were allowed or encouraged. To keep the player invested, you might get some random chatter from your squads on the radio as they move around the map. The first campaign has some soldier dude making a stereotypical "incest" comment about one of his squadmates who apparently lives in Mississippi. There's a lot of weird and cringy "white boy" comments coming from what I suppose is a full unit of black soldiers in Bravo squad (Bravo for black, I guess) where campaign 2 even has them saying "white boys should have given America to us if they wanted to win these wars" as if the African continent is not rife with war and turmoil for centuries. It just comes off very black supremacist and woke. I really doubt soldiers talked like this or that it would have been tolerated by the superior ranked, even in a war as mismanaged as the Vietnam war. The cutscenes between each mission often have really terrible voice acting, with a lot of references to the plight of people of color, talk about the Black Panthers organization, etc. More or less, the game is all about a black man's experience in this era, whilst showing the American's gradual disapproval for the Vietnam war but also to highlight how tough it is for black people in particular back at home, despite how men are being forced into a pointless war and being shot at and killed. As we can expect, the game is highly critical of the Vietnamese war, as it should be, but there's a lot of silly race and identity politics in the background that have barely anything to do with the war.

Beyond that, the missions are entirely scripted where scripting these battles is antithetical to a proper RTS. The lacking in scenery makes it very tedious. Which is perhaps part of the point of being a "radio commander" but it's a video game and the player needs to be able to see a bit more to hold their interest. Failure is immediate as soon as any one allied soldier dies in battle in a squad of around 30+ soldiers, where the only death that is allowed is through scripted events. Soldiers can get wounded but, for some reason, it's a failure if any of them actually meet a demise, which is a bit odd of a design choice, especially since you can call for medivac via helicopter to retrieve and replace soldiers on the battlefield. There's a right and wrong answer to certain events that might nerf you or empower you and it's more of a puzzle game in that regard. Sometimes you can't tell if the orders you've issued have been obeyed or if the unit is actually doing it, and campaign 2 in particular (which teaches you the helicopter mechanic) often had the helicopter getting stuck somewhere on the map and running out of fuel before he could travel to the chosen destination, giving credence to the existence of bugs that have been left unresolved.

This game lacks any real complexity and strategy, you just follow the prompts in the HUD and hope you don't move your white boy soldiers into the wrong neighborhood as you try to discern the puzzle solution for that particular campaign. It shows the moral ambiguity of the Vietnam war while trying to make you feel empathetic towards the poor young men trapped in that country having to fight when they could be at home with their sweethearts, but then wants to interweave social justice into its messaging which I don't think was necessary, mixed with some terrible voice acting.

[i]Radio Commander[/i] sounded good on paper. You’re not a soldier in the field; you’re the voice on the other end of the radio, directing troops, relaying commands, and trying to make sense of chaos using only reports, a map, and your own judgment. It's story-rich, morally ambiguous, and tries to simulate the fog of war in a way few games dare. It deserves credit for ambition, for sure. It's rare to see a war game so focused on the psychological distance of leadership, on the fog of war, and on the moral ambiguity of conflict. But a brilliant idea means little if the game isn’t actually playable.

But while the concept is gold, the execution is frustratingly brittle. What could have been a tense, immersive experience ends up feeling like a clunky, janky interface sim with brilliant ideas buried under awkward design choices. What should have been an immersive, unique experience ends up feeling like a half-baked prototype with a clunky interface and confusing systems. If the UI were overhauled and the controls streamlined, this could easily be a hidden gem. As it stands, though? It’s more frustrating than fun.

[*] One of the most original ideas in war gaming. You’re not gunning down enemies yourself; you’re trying to command soldiers in real time, based entirely on their radio reports. It’s tense, it’s immersive, and it captures the disconnect and moral weight of command in a way that few games do.

The dialogue between you and your units is often well-written, and the game does attempt to grapple with the ambiguity of the Vietnam War: orders can be unclear, the intel you get might be wrong, and people can die because of choices you made. It’s refreshingly thoughtful.

[*] The map-and-token mechanic is cool in theory. You manually place tokens on a physical map based on what your troops radio in, trying to track enemy movement and plan accordingly. It’s like you’re running a real HQ tent. When it works, it makes you feel smart, like you’re genuinely in command. But…

[*] The UI is a mess—slow, clunky, and unintuitive. Everything from issuing orders to rotating tokens feels sluggish and janky. There's a lot of clicking and dragging, and even basic interactions like moving a unit or updating the map are way harder than they should be.

[*] Controls feel like an alpha prototype. The mechanics should be simple: select a unit, give a command. But in practice, it often takes several awkward clicks or misread commands. Half the time you’re not sure if your orders even registered, or if your troops are just ignoring you. It makes it hard to feel like you're in control, which kills the entire power fantasy.

[*] Tutorials are weak, leading to constant confusion. You’re thrown into the deep end with minimal guidance, which could be immersive… if the interface were more intuitive. But as it stands, you end up fumbling with commands and guessing at what the game wants.

[*] Bugs and glitches hurt lead to frustration. Units can somehow teleport from one square to another, pressing the "End" button at the end of the mission does nothing, units repeat the same voice-line without any feedback ... I could go on. When the entire premise rests on clear, responsive communication, these flaws break the experience in a way that’s hard to overlook.

[*] Great premise, but not that fun to play. Despite the brilliant setup and thematic depth, actually playing [i]Radio Commander[/i] just isn’t that enjoyable. The tension quickly turns to frustration. You’re not making hard decisions; you’re fighting the game’s systems to make any decisions at all.

Great take on the RTS genre. It's like a modern version of distilled chess. Excellent integration of radio themes. I haven't played past the 3rd mission yet, but it's already quite immersive. Recommend using open-backed headphones +radio workshop themes for the full grisly M*A*S*H wartime effect.

Very interesting concept, somewhat awkward implementation .... I like the way you can feel your position instead of simply seeing and living the experience. It works within the confines the game forces itself into ... but I also had my fair share of bugs and scripted events not triggering, so it's clear the game lacks a certain level of polish. After all, it's a no-go for a game with a lot of potential and a very different experience from what we're used to in war games.

This game really doesn't want me to like it.

In the missions herein you're being provided with pretty vague info on what you're actually expected to do. And these expections you'll have to fulfill, or the mission scripts will break, as they're very dependent on specific conditions on the map to be able to proceed to completion. In the end, this is not only not a tactics game due to its narrative focus, but also by merit of being a game of mostly guess work, as in, guess what exactly the developer wants you to do here - or fail.

挺好玩的。不太爽的是。战役我一个B小队伤了十几头，只剩7个还能打的弹药不足，遭遇35个会说话的树。交战在一处，被敌人火力压制跑不掉力。我直接下令炮队火力网轰炸该区域！7换35血赚好吧！凭什么判我失败！！！（恼）
这帮美国大兵只需要卖命打仗就好了，我堂堂指挥官要考虑的就很多了。比如把寄了的美国佬改成失踪不能让他们白嫖我们体恤金一类的。

Pomysł niezgorszy, choć tworzy ryzyko nudnej i statycznej rozgrywki.
W praktyce jest niestety jeszcze gorzej, ponieważ większość gry opiera się na jednorazowych wydarzeniach, których warunki muszą być ściśle spełnione, by wystąpiły. I tak możemy mieć oddział w pustej dżungli, zgłaszający brak przeciwników, by sekundę później stracić wszystkich, gdy uruchomiliśmy jakiś trigger, a oddział stał w niekoniecznie dobrym do tego miejscu. Nie da się też we własnym zakresie wykonać jakichś zadań misji, bo i tutaj gra opiera się na ścisłych scenariuszach, od których nie wolno odbiegać.

El juego es bueno y la idea es muy original pero está lleno de bugs y algunas incoherencias que hacen que cuando mejor estes en la campaña integrado en el juego te corta y tienes que volver a empezar.. misiones que te han costado 4 horas ejecutarlas bien con planificación y cuidado. Cuando terminé el cg de Bambú en la misión 3 logro la victoria gano me manda a gestión de personal y despues de estar perdiendo el tiempo gestionando todo doy a continuar y guardar los cambios y me manda a la misión otra vez con el mensaje de victoria me vuelve a mandar a gestión de personal y así en blucle. Pienso que se habrá guardado doy a continuar desde el menu y me manda otra vez al inicio. Le he dado 3 o 4 oportunidades ya por la buena idea que me parece pero es injugable siempre pasa algo.

Good simulation of manoeuvring a company around using a map and radio, that was an interesting experience compared to other wargames. If you aren't interested in a slower paced game where you must use co-ordinates on a map to navigate your troops or wait for them to plod around a jungle (with time compression of course), this game is not for you.

I do find it very interesting though with all the minutiae mentioned above as well as co-ordinating artillery, air strikes, air assaults and convoys. Sole criticism, I turned off the squad banter and wanted a "Use proper radio procedures!" command, but some people may enjoy the role-playing aspect it entails. All-in-all an interesting simulation and novel approach to wargaming at a good price point.

I played this before, but didn't like it. Maybe a year later i installed again to give it another try.

The idea is good, but its really slow. Got really bored, so i played custom game for quick battle thinking that maybe quick battle would be more action packed. But it's like hunting cat and mouse. I guess it really reflect Vietnam war. You spend more time looking for the enemy than fighting the enemy.

If you like playing cat and mouse then this game is for you.

因為本身是call to arms及men of war玩家，所以對寫實程度有所要求，但是上述兩款也是有大部分即時戰略遊戲相對不寫實的地方，那就是你可以隨時觀看部隊現況，現實來說，作為營指揮官甚至更高階指揮部除非有無人機在戰場上空或是低軌衛星剛好經過才會有這麼清晰的回傳影像，否則指揮官是不可能看的到現況[spoiler]也許你的部隊跟自己人對射還打到好起來[/spoiler]

1.建議玩hell let loose及其他寫實類FPS有強大指揮欲望的玩家不要再[spoiler]禍害別人[/spoiler]了可以改玩這款，有時候人家就是只想自己玩自己的，現實中玩家是不會每個都聽你話廢話甚至幾乎不甩你除非是DC戰隊群

2.如果真的受不了指揮部聲音過於平靜，可以考慮播放YT上的越戰音效增加些許氣氛

There is very little to recommend here. The gameplay is minimal and not engaging. Sometimes I don't know what commands I'm suppose to be issue to trigger the story. For a game about listening on a radio, the audio quality isn't immersive. The VA is pretty bad, especially during the cutscenes.

I'd say watch a playthrough, but you'd be bored to death. This is the most generic storytelling imaginable.

3.作为一款反战游戏,这游戏的确做到了,在经历Alpha排被北越军队炸的全军覆没后竟有一种悲伤感,作为指挥官你不得不做出抉择,是让新进的E排撤离还是A排 B排一起防守,代入感很强,以及后续B排屠杀村庄,被揭露的战争事实,都让这款游戏上升了一个高度

A unique idea but unfortunately not well executed. It's not that the game is poorly made but rather the basic design is flawed. This is more of a story than a game as your actions don't really change the outcome, as a result I lost interest pretty quick.

The long drawn out fluff conversations also end up being more annoying than interesting, for example taking 15s just to tell a group to report position. At some point you just want to skip through it rather than play it.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

It's less a strategy game and more of an interactive story.

Your actions have little, if any, gravity on the situation. Things happen in a very forceful and scripted way, and the only difference between what you choose to do is what score you get in the end - everything will happen the way it happens anyway.

Big nono for me for full price aswell.

I did not know what I was getting into before I played this.

What at first seemed like an innovative map-only command tent simulation of Vietnam first annoyingly, then incessantly and eventually irredeemably could not keep the developers political commentaries out of their game. Did you want to make a Vietnam war game or a documentary about the civil rights movement? Your Coleman character cannot stop pushing his (see: your) social activism off the radio, might I add, this is the radio that me and the entire operation is using for essential combat intelligence ranging from medevacs and artillery strikes.......

Your game is set in 1965, why does everyone need to make their comments zingers like its 2023 reddit, on above mentioned crucial radio airwaves nonetheless?

I tried so hard to ignore the writing because the premise of the game initially leads that the dialogue is not the focus, I shouldn't worry about a little bad writing right? But the politicizations that bleed into everything, even mission briefings, are so overpowering the soup becomes poisoned. We are in a battle, and I believe this game is trying to take itself seriously on that fact, can we agree on that? then why are 2 children arguing over the COMMAND RADIO when the US ARMY is trying to give battle commands? Do you think soldiers used the airstrike radio like a whatsapp group chat? I would have never gave a negative review if the offenses weren't so excessive, I'd suggest you guys take a break making video games and go make some tumblr posts to get that steam off your chest, it is too noticeable.

Świetny pomysł z tą mechaniką, można się poczuć jak prawdziwy dowódca pola bitwy. Gra dla fanów realizmu i wyzwań. Lecz gra ma kilka niedociągnięć.
-Czasami można się zaciąć na kilku misjach z powodu braku dokładnych informacji gdzie mamy iść oraz gdy zrobimy coś lepiej lub szybciej niż planował to scenariusz.
-Zarządzanie zbyt wieloma jednostkami jest niezbyt przejrzyste i wygodne.
-Szybkie bitwy nie są interesujące ponieważ nie widzi mi się bieganie po mapie by szukać wroga, a obrona polega na staniu w miejscu piechotą i kierowaniem ostrzałem z dział.
-Gra nie informuje nas o tym że na mapie są sojusznicze jednostki (raz oblałem napalmem piechotę sojusznika i odebrano mi możliwość palenia vietkongu.)
- kampania jest trochę z krótka.

To kilka niedociągnięć w grze teraz czego mi brakowało:
- Walki o określony punkt w szybkich bitwach.
-Opcji przemarszu jednostek z punktu A do punktu C przez B (jednostki jadą najkrótszą drogą więc jak wysłałem pojazd na zwiady na całej długości trasy konwoju w jednej misji on ominą interesujące mnie miejsce.)
-Brak opcji Kooperacji z Znajomymi, Bitwy jakie przyjemnie można prowadzić w grze mają bardzo małą skalę natomiast w grze z kolegą można by zrobić większe manewry do 15 jednostek(w tej grze to naprawdę dużo.)

Mimo tych niewielkich wad polecam tą grę strategom.

Zasiadanie do symulatora(?) dowódcy radiostacji zarządzającego operacją w Wietnamie zgrane z niedawną premierą filmu o Oppenhaimerze to całkiem ciekawy zbieg okoliczności, nie da się ukryć. I choć w przeciwieństwie do realiów konfliktu znanych z wielkiego ekranu w swoim uposażeniu nie znajdziecie tutaj bomby atomowej czy wioski pełnej wyspecjalizowanych naukowców z ekscentrycznym liderem na czele, to jednak trzeba przyznać, że perspektywa prowadzenia oddziałów wojskowych na podstawie komunikatów radiowych również brzmi całkiem obiecująco i co najmniej nietypowo. Czy zatem rola w militarnym call center jest jakkolwiek ciekawą alternatywą dla innych tytułów w podobnym segmencie rozrywkowym, czy może raczej niepotrzebną, niekonieczną próbą wprowadzenia do gatunku jakiegoś urozmaicenia?

Może zacznę od tego co wydaje mi się w tym wszystkim najbardziej urzekające, czyli mimowolną grę wyobraźni na wyższych poziomach trudności, szczególnie tym ostatnim. Bo widzicie, zapewne mając w głowie przedstawioną przeze mnie wizję dyrygowania jednostkami, spodziewacie się tabelek, wyświetlanych na mapie komunikatów, przesuwających się animowanych żołnierzyków czy chociażby jakiejś formy wizualnej informacji, która pomoże w rozeznaniu się w sytuacji. I rzeczywiście wygląda to w ten sposób do momentu, w którym nie zdecydujecie się na wyzwanie w formie "weterana" - do dyspozycji oddawane są nam wtedy wyłącznie fizyczne figurki, które możemy ustawić na mapie i dowolnie przesuwać, mając przy tym na uwadze, że musimy robić to własnoręcznie - co za tym idzie, możemy skrupulatnie zaznaczać każdy wrogi pluton, przyjazny skład, pozycję artylerii czy chociażby aktualizować rozmieszczenie w ruchu dla lepszego zrozumienia pozycji, jednak jeśli zdecydujemy oprzeć się wyłącznie na intuicji, nikt nie zabroni nam kluczyć wyłącznie na podstawie słuchu oraz odbieranych od czasu do czasu komunikatów. Naprawdę ciekawe oraz dość nowatorskie rozwiązanie.

Jednak przeniesienie takiej mechaniki w całości do praktycznego wymiaru okazało się chyba być o wiele twardszym orzechem do zgryzienia niż początkowo zakładano, bowiem trudno powiedzieć, żeby realizacja była jakimś spektakularnym sukcesem. Przede wszystkim mam na myśli dźwięk, który choć powinien być flagowym elementem i największą siłą produkcji, został zrealizowany w formie radiowej kakofonii, składającej się w dużej mierze z nieustannych trzasków, stuknięć, popiskiwań oraz szumów, które już po jakichś kilkunastu minutach zmuszają do odwieszenia słuchawek i przeniesienia się na przyciszone głośniki. Z wizualnymi aspektami wcale nie jest dużo lepiej - mimo iż nasz bohater posiada całkiem zgrabny namiot pełen sprzętu, to jednak wpatrywanie się w papierową mapę niemal przez cały czas danej operacji to spore marnowanie potencjału, tym bardziej że nie przyjdzie nam robić tutaj szczególnie więcej, poza oczywiście wydawaniem komend. A skoro przy rozkazach jesteśmy, to tutaj też widać trochę uciążliwych elementów, bowiem opcja sterowania na przykład poprzez połączenie klawisza spacji i znaków numerycznych albo niepraktycznego operowania lewym przyciskiem myszy niejednokrotnie doprowadzało mnie do małego zawrotu głowy, nie mówiąc już o błędnie wydanych rozkazach przez wybór niewłaściwej linii decyzyjnej.

Miło natomiast widzieć, że zadbano o jakiś element fabularny, umieszczając między misjami swoiste przerywniki filmowe opowiadające o trudach wojny. Okazały się one być zadziwiająco bezpośrednie, klimatyczne oraz pełne przemyślanych uwag i realistycznych zwrotów do adresata. Szkoda tylko, że nieszczególnie ma to przełożenie na grową rzeczywistość, gdyż nie jesteśmy w stanie jakoś szczególnie sympatyzować z kinowymi bohaterami; brakuje zdecydowanie spotkań twarzą w twarz z żołdakami, możliwości nawiązania dialogu z oddzielnymi osobami zamiast całego oddziału, a co za tym idzie, zbudowania jakiejś relacji, która finalnie zmuszałaby do ostrożniejszego manewrowania poleceniami, aby na przykład nasz ulubiony porucznik nie stracił życia na polu bitwy. I okej, rozumiem, że może to brzmieć jakbym wymagał naprawdę sporo, jednak na przykładzie choćby Original War wydanego osiemnaście(!) lat wcześniej widzimy, że takie rzeczy są jak najbardziej możliwe, a tymczasem finalnie dostajemy jedynie nieco smutnawą możliwość zarządzania materiałem ludzkim poprzez proste komendy, bez jakiejkolwiek możliwości większego zaangażowania się poza operowaniem nazwiskami czy pojedynczymi wypowiedziami danych żołdaków.

Nie pomagają też bardzo szczątkowe informacje dotycząca zadań, celów czy planów dotyczących starć, choć tak jak już wcześniej wspomniałem, przy trudach związanych z dobrowolnym wyborem "harda", można to w pewnym sensie rozpatrywać w kategorii atutu. Niejednokrotnie bowiem przyszło mi wysłać grupę uderzeniową w niewłaściwe miejsce poprzez błędne rozczytanie koordynatów lub zamęt związany z faktem, iż rozgrywka podzielona jest na komunikację w czasie rzeczywistym, gdzie możemy operować gamą poleceń, jak również momenty dialogowe, które wstrzymują bieg wydarzeń, czekając na jakiś respons z naszej strony. I problem nie leży bynajmniej w trudności wyzwania z którym się mierzymy, bowiem otrzymywane dane bądź informacje są po prostu niejasne i niekompletne, operujące takimi terminami jak "wzgórze", "zagajnik" albo "linia frontu", które choć jak najbardziej mają sens w momentach wizualnego przedstawienia scenerii, o tyle na bazie samej mapy bardzo często nie wiemy zwyczajnie co gra ma na myśli i gdzie dokładnie oczekuje, abyśmy wysłali konkretny oddział - to nie utrudnienie, a zwykłe niedopatrzenia oraz niedokładności.

Choć zatem finalnie ilość uwag może wydawać się trochę przytłaczająca, bynajmniej nie jestem blisko skreślania tego tytułu, a przynajmniej nie w pierwszym czytaniu; naprawdę zdarzało mi się spotykać z produkcjami, które kompletnie nie miały na siebie pomysłu, brakowało w nich treści, bywały niekompletne lub też całkowicie niedopracowane, nie oferując de facto nic szczególnego, a w tym przypadku jestem daleki od tak brutalnych stwierdzeń. Dostaniemy tutaj dosyć oryginalny gameplay, interesujące przerywniki filmowe, możliwość realizowania niezależnych potyczek, osiągnięcia, powtórki, wyzwanie w postaci specyficznej mechaniki... Mimo że całość zamknięto w nieco niedopracowanej, miejscami uproszczonej, trochę niepraktycznej formie, to jednak warto zwrócić uwagę na ten tytuł choćby ze względu na samo założenie, mając jednak przy tym na uwadze, że taka strategia czasu rzeczywistego z pewnością nie spodoba się każdemu, a jest raczej produkcją celującą w pewną niszę oraz lukę na rynku. Wydaje mi się, że każdy kto na fali popularności różnych symulatorów wciągnął się w odtwarzanie specjalistycznych zawodów powinien znaleźć tu coś dla siebie, a i dla tych lubujących się w taktycznym podejściu do rozgrywki nie powinno to być kompletne rozczarowanie. Zostawiam pozytywną recenzję w dobrej wierze, licząc że twórcy wyciągną wnioski i może w niedalekiej przyszłości uraczą nas wiarygodnym, zapierającym dech w piersi imitatorem dowódcy polowego radia.

游戏看个人吧，我觉得可以但是有些人可能会感觉到无聊，毕竟你只是呆在后方，没有激烈的战斗场面，至于有人希望出多人模式这一点我倒是没兴趣甚至不希望出，比如某些挂钩毁游戏，等dlc打折就入吧。
Let's take a personal look at the game. I think it's okay, but some people may feel bored. After all, you're just staying in the back without intense combat scenes. As for someone who wants to play multiplayer mode, I'm not interested or even don't want to play it. For example, some hook up games can ruin the game and wait for the DLC to discount before joining.

Its a cool Premise, But some time the game bugs out and does not respond to your orders,
or some story events don't happen because the trigger is unclear
and sometime units stop react to orders.

Neat, but not a very good game. The devs clearly expected you to complete missions a certain way, and if you do anything different the game does not handle it very well. Decide to swing your stealthy unit around to the side of an objective rather than heading straight for it? Miss a trigger and the mission softlocks. Decide to use your units to clear the path ahead of a convoy before sending them through? Have a napalm strike trigger once the convoy gets to a certain spot, which you cannot move your units out of in time.

An interesting game, I've not seen anything like it before and I loved the concept, it was also a similar job I did in the Navy. Unfortunately that's also why I am recommending no. The dialogue in this is just cringe worthy at best. Having served a full 20+ years I'm used to military shop talk, and maybe the devs hired in some authentic vets to help them, but I'll say it just made me want to nope immediately. On the first mission when private umptysquat wants to 'kill em all' I kept going out of love for the job/game that was presented, but the dialog just didn't get better. If you have no military experience besides full metal jacket you might like this, but then again you're probably playing modern warfare, or battlefield world war 2 part 60 instead of a game that makes you think like this one. $20 is a bit steep for what's presented $15 is more fair in my opinion.
