Venus Psychopomp CAME into my house, RAIDED my refrigerator, and ate my DRYWALL.

Then, she told me there were flesh creatures, UNDER MY HOUSE. Now, normally I wouldn't trust people who, yknow, eat my drywall, but I followed her, and lo and behold, THERE WERE FLESH CREATURES

SO NOW I AM TRAPPED. WITH THE FLESH CREATURES. AND A WOMAN, WHO REEKS OF RUST. HOW IS SHE EVEN MOVING??? THAT HELMET WEIGHS A BAJILLION POUNDS. AND SHE STILL ATE MY DRYWALL!

But overall i rate this game 10/10, and i hope it wins 1 psychopompillion at the box office this week.

另外，创意工坊有汉化补丁（@橙月。这位老哥在小黑盒也有号@玉玉的答辩）。
有头有尾，篇章完整，风格独特，还是相当不错的。期待续作。

Okay but honestly Psychopomp Gold is tremendous. The premise alone is one of the most intriguing I've seen in an indie horror, and the levels are all dripping with style and atmosphere. The music is great, the writing is funny, the ideas are fascinating, and the level and character designs are striking. The exploration and puzzles are mostly fun, and I don't mind the grid movement but of course kind of wish the game had free movement. The combat is nothing special, but some enemies in the last level are surprisingly well designed, making me wish some more thought was put into enemies in the rest of the game.

My main issue with the game is the interface, which is very buggy and clunky and difficult to use. If you turn a controller on, half the controls break and the cursor becomes impossible to see, which at one point caused me to accidentally advance to a new area before I was ready. Speaking of which, not being able to go back or replay levels is annoying, and the two aforementioned problems together forced me to restart my playthrough to be able to experience the levels I missed.

Really well made and thought out game. I havn't felt this type of atmospheric, and slightly disturbing, nostalgic warmth when playing a video game since I played harry potter and the philosophers stone (Or sorcerers stone). 10/10 for pure experience. The combat isnt really a focus but it does exist. So watch your health. Also performance is exceptional, considering the retro graphics thats not surprising.

PS: Diagonals aren't real, dont believe the governments lies...

I wish Steam had a neutral review.

I love the creativity of the art, sounds and story. Indie projects like this is why i love Steam as a platform. But the game is very short, and alot of the playtime is artificially lengthened by a stamina and gridbased movement system, which does not suit the game at all. Combat is barebones and the save system is annoying (died once to the gilloutines) then i had to replay 20 minutes of walking to get back to the same place.

But overall a super cool experience. You'll know within 10 minutes if you like the game or notm so give it a try.

Before I begin I should say, this game only has about 2-3 hours of content even when you scrub all the walls from top to bottom, which is the only aspect that leaves me dissapointed because of the price. I am also in canada, so I basically pay double what the game is actually (currently 11.79 cad for me). Aside from that, I can not reccomend this game more.

Its a very abstract game, people describing it as "Schizo-core" may be correct, imagine if all those Schizo-core posts where true. Its that. It has WASD tank controls with A and D being a turn, with Q and E being a straif. DO NOT BUY THE GAME IF YOU CANT HANDLE THE CONTROLS!!! Its an aquired taste.
The lore itself if abstract and takes a lot of digging, and connecting the dots to understand. Id argue this game does not spoonfeed you lore, you need to use critical thinking and scrub over implications and details to understand. The storytelling is not vague per say, but is more fragmented and is told through notes, dialog and game visuals like the surroundings and cutscenes.

I think making the second half of the story a seperate game posed as a sequal, but also most likely a paid addition, does bother me. I am not the type to accuse of scummy behavior or call Fadingclub a full POS about it, its just something to keep in mind when getting into Psychopomp. We not only have one half of the story but the second half will come out in Psychopomp 2.

Aside from these minor gripes, I love this game and follow it very intensely. Cant wait to see the full story come together.

My ending verdict is:
Art: Great, very stylized and unique
Aesthetic: Great, also very unique, some fun character and enviroment designs,
Mechanics: Alright, simple touch, talk, look and hit mechanics with tank controls, I advise using touch, talk AND look when interacting with entities to see fun written descriptions.
Level Design: Ok, Some maps get very large and maze like, making the slow tanky controls more irritating than anything.
Music: Great, unique ost, at least stick around for the credit song <3

Una de las mejores experiencias tétricas que haya probado. No me esperaba que el lore fuera continuado de manera tan perfecta con respecto a la versión gratis que sacaron en un principio, su historia la verdad es que es confusa, pero hay un montón de cosas que ver y nuevas ubicaciones que antes no estaban, hasta el punto que te dan un teaser de la siguiente entrega y te cuentan más acerca de Venus y una especie de relación con Mercurio.

Diría que es de esas historias que debes experimentar por tu cuenta para entender lo que pasa en ese mundo tan retorcido, que en realidad es nuestro mundo pero viéndolo desde su verdadera naturaleza.

Short little experience with a a lot of charm. Really like the concepts and the retro CGI style graphics to carry the horror a lil harder. Worth the price, comparing it to the base version which plays like a demo in hindsight.

Only small gripe I'd have is the enemies don't really feel like too much of a threat. Might like it to be a little more difficult and perhaps with more secrets.

But the OST and ambience were great, totally my jam, looking forward to the 2nd installment.

Psychopomp Gold is a 'good enough' time. It's a "horror" "dungeon" "crawler", with quotes around every aspect of it.
As a game, Psychopomp pursues quirkiness above playability, confusion above coherence, and style over substance. If that's your cup of tea, you'll like the game.
If there's a single objective ding I can hit the game with, it's that it seems to rely more on things being DARK rather than things being SCARY. Once you figure out the combat of the game (which is horrendous, I'd rather it not be present at all), the big scary jump at you from the dark monsters lose their edge and you're just sort of meandering around sightless to anything.
It's a fine time if you want an incoherent horror game with lots of weird ♥♥♥♥ in it and a generally irreverent and violent tone, and fine for its price. I wouldn't say I disliked my time with it, but I can say it's on the bottom end of this kind of short indie horror game genre I do so love.

**Psychopomp** fue una experiencia hermosa para mí. Es un muy buen juego.
El final del juego base se siente un poco forzado y aparece casi de la nada, pero aun así lo acepté. Pensé: *“Bueno… tal vez así tenía que ser”*. Y aunque abrupto, está bien ejecutado.

Pero **Psychopomp Gold** es otra cosa: es **mejor y preciosa**.
Si te quedaste con ganas de más después del juego base, la versión Gold lo vale totalmente. Trae más niveles, más contenido y una experiencia mucho más completa.

La música es increíble: tiene un tono propio, muy marcado, que acompaña perfectamente la atmósfera.
La historia es compleja; si la sobrepensás demasiado puede confundirte, pero cuando encaja, se entiende y deja huella.

Es un juegazo. De los mejores que probé, junto a **Pizza Tower**, **Hollow Knight** (aunque no lo terminé), **Mr. Hopp's Playtime** y otros más.
Pero este… este es **INCREÍBLE**.

Espero con muchísimas ganas **Psychopomp 2**.

El diseño de la protagonista es excelente. Y no lo digo de manera sexual: lo digo desde el diseño, la coherencia visual y cómo todo encaja con su personalidad. Todo le queda bien, todo tiene sentido.

Редкий случай, когда игра может быть действительно мрачной без скримеров, беспомощного персонажа- астматика на грани оргазма (привет оутласту) и прочей навязшей ерунды.

Молоток поможет справится с излишними замками на дверях, окнах с стёклами, различными биологическими субстанциями одушевлённого и неодушевлённого типа. Используя молоток каждый день можно спуститься глубже в здания и достигнуть Марианской впадины... вы же знали, что под каждым городом есть Марианская впадина правда же? Итак, на чём это я... а, точно, эмаль, покрывающая зубы способствует вырабатыванию и сбору новых знаний, эти знания впоследствии будут использованы для создания большего количества эмали, что в свою очередь увеличит выработку знаний. Такая простая производственная схема позволит обеспечить всё население знаниями необходимыми для получения знаний. Если же знания из конкретного субъекта получить не удаётся всегда можно использовать субъект для производства качественных яйцерезок или же отправить на пропитание структурам, которым необходимо питание. Так же необходимо держать под контролем головодавительную установку, но с данным требованием не должно возникнуть проблем иии... а? где я?... даааааа...

Really refreshing experience when most other indie games try too hard to be the next Stardew Valley/Celeste/Undertale, also, I'm always repelled by horror games but Psychopomp gives the thrill of an eerie atmosphere without being too overwhelming so that's a bonus. If you have a friend like myself that likes horror movies but can't get themselves to play a horror game I strongly recommend Psychopomp GOLD to get them into the genre without having to play the classics like Resident Evil or Silent Hill (although I advise they experience them at a later point).

Very good game. Wacky story, creepy enemies, pretty much everything that makes a good horror game. Only downside is that it IS a little tricky to figure out what to do. But there's plenty of tutorials on YT and stuff.

Even if the gameplay mechanics themselves are really simple the weird ambience and banger soundtrack prevents the game from feeling boring. Really excited about Psychopomp 2 :)) loved the 'teaser' in the epilogue!
