Залипательная. Расслабляющая. Красивая. Если надо после работы забыть про дела, то потратить час-другой на постройки и исследования в Project5 Sightseer - самое то.

Эту игру могут достойно оценить люди приближенные к точным наукам - задроты вроде меня, которые заметят, с какой кропотливостью и точностью подошли создатели к данному проекту. Без "ботаника" в команде разработчиков тут точно не обошлось. Я видел много игр, но, увы, не встречал других таких, где количество ресурсов измеряется в молях, масса этих ресурсов вычисляется как малярная масса умноженной на количество, а объем соответственно как масса умноженная на плотность. Причем все физические и химические характеристики элементов полностью соответствуют реальным, и молярная масса и плотность вещества. (За исключением инопланетных элементов в эндгейм) Газы в игре также ведут себя как и в реальности соблюдая законы состояния. Эта игра не заставит вас потратить пять тон ресурсов, чтоб получить один килограмм продукта, потому что в этой игре чтится закон сохранения массы и закон эквивалентов - из двух килограмм ресурсов вы получаете всегда два килограмма продукта, а не пять и не один. В этой игре вода всегда распадается на 2 ресурса кислород И водород, как и должно быть, а не на один из элементов по выбранному игроком рецепту. В этой игре катализатор не позволит вам нарушить закон сохранения масс как в других играх, и не увеличит выход продукции при том же затрате ресурсов. Катализатор будет действовать именно так как он работает в реальности - ускоряет скорость протекания реакции. Работа с нефтепродуктами в игре вообще высший пилотаж применения правил органической химии. Как быть с побочными продукты химических реакций - это проблема игрока. Но побочные продукты сами по себе никуда не исчезают.
Что касается геймплея. Игра вполне может затянуть и просто помочь расслабиться после тяжелого рабочего дня. Здесь нет ни сюжета ни конечной цели. Это просто песочница. Строим базы, настраиваем цепочку производства, выстраиваем торговые маршруты между базами, ищем идеальные места с новыми ресурсами и строим новые базы. Решаем вопросы энергетики и экологии на своих базах, развиваемся и исследуем. А для любителей повоевать есть арены для испытания боевых навыков своих и своей техники. Да и победа на арене приносит не плохие модули для улучшения вашей техники, что помогает быстрее развиваться.
В своё время игра была платной. Теперь же её могут оценить все желающие. Я рад, что такие проекты существуют, но печалит что их так мало, и редко их ценят по достоинству. Игровому сообществу больше нравятся игры, в которых нужно собрать 500 тонн ЖЕЛЕЗА, чтоб создать из него один БРОНЗОВЫЙ нож весом пол килограмма. И пока это так, такие проекты, как этот, будут тихо пылиться в тени, ожидая своих ценителей.
Игра 'Project 5: Sightseer' оказалась неожиданно приятным сюрпризом. Визуально игра очень привлекательна, с детализированными пейзажами и интересным дизайном окружения. Механика исследования мира интуитивно понятна и располагает к тщательному изучению каждой локации в поисках секретов и скрытых путей. Сюжет, хоть и не блещет оригинальностью, увлекает своей загадочностью и подталкивает к разгадке тайны главного героя.
Отдельно стоит отметить атмосферу, которую создают музыкальное сопровождение и звуковые эффекты. Они идеально сочетаются с визуальным стилем игры, погружая в медитативное состояние и позволяя полностью раствориться в процессе исследования.
Однако, не обошлось и без небольших недостатков. Искусственный интеллект противников иногда ведет себя непредсказуемо, а некоторые головоломки кажутся излишне сложными. Тем не менее, эти минусы не портят общего впечатления от игры.
В целом, 'Project 5: Sightseer' - это достойный представитель жанра приключенческих игр, который обязательно стоит попробовать любителям красивых пейзажей, загадок и медитативного геймплея. Игра обладает своим уникальным шармом и способна подарить немало приятных часов исследования. Рекомендую.

Интересный проект, неплохая задумка. Игроку необходимо разведывать залежи, основывать базы для их добычи, и ещё заботиться об энергии и немного о защите. Но, в целом по игре, сказать чего-то хорошего не могу. Поиграть можно, благо некогда она стала бесплатной, но не назвал бы эту игру хорошей. Рекомендую лишь потому, что она бесплатна
Недостатки:
1. Дерьмовищная система с исследованиями. Поставить несколько блоков для получения очков исследований - не даёт линейного прироста. По всей видимости, формула для этого - просто корень из количества станций исследований. Бред, так как игроку ничего не остаётся, кроме как просто ждать и ждать. Благо, это можно частично нивелировать настройками мира
2. Сложность в использовании колёсного транспорта, приводящая к его бессмысленности (за исключением начальных этапов развития). Ближе к мидгейму, появляется возможность использовать воздушный транспорт, который хоть и имеет меньшую вместимость инвентаря, всё же куда более выгоден в силу скорости преодоления неровностей ландшафта.
3. Бред в виде прокладывания путей поставки. Всё что нужно, это прилететь куда тебе надо, основать базу, нажать кнопочку и в кратчайший срок добраться до базы. Всё. После этого ресурсы будут магическим образом поставляться куда тебе надо, и неважно, что у тебя во владении 2-3 транспорта, ты можешь проложить 100 таких путей и они будут работать (скорость передачи зависит от объёма инвентаря и времени, за которое путь был преодолён). Логичнее было бы сделать, что на такой путь надо прикреплять транспорт. Не то чтобы сама по себе идея бред, но реализация крайне странная
4. Геймплей просто невероятен. К чему стремиться в игре? К максимальной прокачке? Получить максимальные модули? Нет совершенно никакого лора, даже минимального, хотя могу в этом высказывании частично ошибаться, так как есть некоторые точки интереса, которые нужно найти. Правда, не помню чтобы они давали что-то понять
5. Игра заброшена. Судя по тому, что можно найти в интернете (от самого разработчика), на эту игру было потрачено около 1.7 млн долларов. Совершенно не верится, так как даже если взять, допустим, 4 года, это можно было бы выплачивать ежемесячно по 5к долларов зарплату 7-ми людям, или 2.5к долларов 14-ти людям, а 14 людей это уже по сути полноценная студия. Данная игра никак не могла стоить 1.7 млн долларов, если конечно у разработчика уровень IQ случаем не ниже 80-ти, или может он просто наврал. Можно было бы добавить миссий на уничтожение, доставку, сопровождение, какую-нибудь даже глупую конечную цель в виде "свалить с этой грёбанной планеты", но нет такого. Может быть, в сумму 1.7 млн долларов входит и реклама, но я её не видел, но даже если реклама и была, то на неё было потрачено слишком много средств, да и учитывая популярность этой игры, маловероятно что её действительно рекламировали
6. Симуляция боёв. Просто стоя на базе, можно нажать на кнопочку, и оказаться на поле боя. С первого взгляда это кажется чем-то сложным, но.. можно просто подъехать к источникам энергии базы противника, где не будут доставать турели, и просто лишить противника энергии, после чего уничтожить базу без особых проблем. И ладно бы симуляция существует, но почему за неё дают реальные награды в виде модулей?!
Плюсы:
1. В целом интересно поездить, полетать, поисследовать мир, найти ресурсы, немного поторговаться, немного посражаться
2. Построить базу, потратить время на поиск необходимых тебе ресурсов и получить дозу кайфа, когда потратил полчаса на 1 ресурс, и всё таки его нашёл
3. С кайфом выбить хорошие модули для транспорта
Но, плюсы меркнут на фоне минусов. В целом эту игру можно назвать лишь песочницей, потому что цели опять же нет, разве что поставить её самому и, например, получить все достижения Steam

Приятная игра может затянуть на очень долго. Жаль что не зашла игрокам и это не стала одной из крупнейших издателей игр . Что имеем сейчас сложное управление в начале игры. Много возможностей практически отсутствие модификаций ибо игроков нет. А делать модификации для мертвой игры сами понимаете но потеряться с друзьями в этом мире на месяц можно точно.

Sightseer was an attempt by Tasharen Entertainment at expanding on the formula that made Windward great, with a greater focus on exploration and base building. Sadly, the final product fell far short and was abandoned by the developer after its sales failed to reach expectations. At least its free for users now.
I was a long-time fan of Tasharen Entertainment, paying to be a backer of Windward Horizon and putting in hundreds of hours of feedback and playtesting. Unfortunately I can no longer support the developer or their titles after they revoked the Steam key I paid for and banned me from the Windward Horizon community for posting a [url=https://imgur.com/a/nIMiN9i]negative review[/url]. Aren's argument is that if you're dissatisfied with a product then the seller should have the right to steal it back from you without a refund. Didn't like your meal? The chef has the right to force you to vomit it up, apparently. Don't like the work your roofers did? They're taking the roof.
This is especially mind-boggling as I personally purchased keys for users who couldn't otherwise back the project. My insight was so helpful I was included in Windward Horizon's credits. I'm even in the Steam trailer. But because I don't recommend the title with a review that is constructive and currently rated the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/sirpencil/recommended/2665460/]most helpful[/url] on the Steam page I apparently deserve to have my copy of the game stolen from me.
I leave this note on this review as a warning to anyone who interacts with Aren or Tasharen Entertainment - if you do decide to buy his games do so only through Steam. This is not a developer you can back or support otherwise as he may well just revoke your Steam key for having a differing opinion. I strongly suggest avoiding his titles.
I have tried this as it looked quite good from some videos.
However, there are so many problems with this game from the get go.
1. The tutorial is not fully finished. It missed a few key points that I had to learn playing after.
2. Some abilities/functions have key bindings and some don't. Why is that?
3. Power is a grind. I built 3 research buildings and they needed like 30 wind turbines / 20 solar panels. I don't know if I was doing something wrong (efficiency for wind turbines were around 90% for each). Just building basic things, so I get to research things in like an hour takes multiple hours of work.
4. The follow mode for vehicles should never give up. Or at least indicate in some way that the vehicle following you have lost you and indicate on the map where. I could not find it after I lost it somewhere.
5. I don't see a point in needing so many cargo containers in every base just to have things to put in, instead of having them on your vehicle.
6. The price of foundation is ridiculous if you want to have a flat base. I just realised what sort of grind it would be and just gave up. I'm not spending the whole day just to build 20x20 foundation for my base.
7. The first trade that tried to interact with me bugged out and the whole time I could not understand why the thing was following me. Later on I got a working trading and understood that I spent 10 minutes tried everything for no reason.
And this is just after playing the game for a single day and not interacting with any trades, fighters or anything else I still don't know about.

GREAT GAME, SERIOUSLY, IT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT, THIS IS A TRUE GEM. But very few people play it. There are no proper guides for it. There aren't even any guides on how to 100% achievement this game, that is the only issue. THE GAME IS A MASTERPIECE SO DO TRY IT. Time just flies and the music is just brilliant. My favourite is a track called "Machinist" by M-K Finn. Playing it with friends will be a Mesmerising dream, sadly I do not have that luxury. In regards to the guides and directions, You can join their discord, the veteran players and the Tasharen Discord Community in general is very friendly, Polite and Helpful. Great people there. Also Do try Another of Tasharen's Games called 'CELESTIS" It is available on steam.

Что сказать, игра то на самом деле неплохая И даже вполне себе интересная........обследовать мир, находить месторождения, оборудовать базы и добывающие аутпосты, настраивать цепочки переработки ресурсов и маршруты транспортировки....все это на моя взгляд интересно, если бы не одно большое НО. Проект брошен, забагован и не доведен до ума. из Речки банально нельзя добыть воду..... свинцовые контейнеры пропускают радиацию.....маршруты транспортировки не переваривают газообразные вещества, так те занимают огромный обьем..... так же в игре есть вооружение и предполагается пвп и война за ресурсы......но нет никаких адекватных правил и баланса.....в общем незаконченный брошенный проект
Игрушка очень прикольная если есть хотя бы 2-3 группы по 2-3 человека, с пвп... а так конечно если просто в ПВЕ играть - скучновато через пару суток

I enjoyed playing Sightseer.
The start was diifficult as my vehicle had very poor performance and i was getting stuck on every pebbles on the road but as soon i got a couples upgrades, things were much more fun.
Also the the biome i had chosen was not the easyest..Just pay attention to the description when starting a new game.

Even free this game is a physics hell. Farming is very difficult and the tutorial is shallow and confusing.
Fabulous visuals, odd storyline. Interesting way to chain together resource gathering centres.
Nice game, definitely needs a more detailed mini map with more zoom, because it's hard to add a point on the map where you want it.
Apart from that there is nothing to complain about, it works well. sometimes it crashes when exiting the game straight to the desktop, but only then
pretty clunky. shotty mechanics. over all kind of boring.

The most difficult reviews to write are for the games that come so close to greatness, but fail so hard due to various unforunate design choices. That is most certainly the case here.
Project 5: Sightseer is an ambitious PvP "sandbox" RTS/third person vehicle shooter/base builder hybrid... which is a really great idea that unfortunately went nowhere due to poor central design decisions. The graphics are really very good for an amateur title and the gameplay itself is fairly nice, driving the vehicle around is fun, and there's a great and deep upgrade/progression/growth element. So why wasn't this a triple-A slam dunk when it has so much going for it?
The focus of the game is pure PvP, there's no single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the game. The vast majority of PvP-only games fail because they don't "go viral", and without players, or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game.
The game features strong PvP elements, fine, but the problem is that it's asymmetric, open world PvP. The upshot of this is that new players simply cannot play this game, they will immediately be hunted and kerbstomped by experienced players and griefers who enjoy sealclubbing. This what essentially what killed the player population as griefers flooded the servers and made the game essentially unplayable for others.
While the actions of griefers are absolutly not the fault of the developers, the game design decisions the developers made are what allowed the griefers to do what they do, and it's the responsibility of the game developers to ensure games are fair, balanced and accessible. As we see here, when developers fail to do this part of their job properly, the outcome is terminal.
Despite not being in Steam Early Access (where this arguably belongs), the game is missing features and is apparently incomplete. Due to the lack of meaningful progress from the developer, it's unlikely the game will be completed at all. This is a good reason for gamers to avoid this.
From a technical perspective, the graphics get a pass, the game looks really good, but the controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
So, should you download this free game?
The game is completely free. This is noble a gesture that shows dedication to both gamers, and the gaming industry. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. It's a shame in this case that poor design decisions that led this to being an abandoned PvP game with no value for gamers. I hope to see more work from these developers, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.

I absolutely love this game, especially the attention to detail that the developers gave it. It kind of reminds me of command and conquer, I am going to spending more than 2.7 hours of playing this.

Truck is hard to steer and the tutorial is a little hard to follow. Lastly, the camera makes me motion sick. But I am still going to recommend because if I could play it, it seems like a fun concept.

An amazing game where you explore the world in your land. air, or water vehicle, survey areas for resources, build a base, and prosper. The various biomes and landscapes, with some being more difficult to traverse than others, are always breathtaking. The mechanics are easy to understand with the tutorial. PvE combat scales with the level and quality of your equipment so it can be difficult sometimes, it's optional though so you don't get yeeted often.
Игра шикарная, случайно нашëл, но тут есть всë, исследования от No man's Sky, приключения из TerraTech, красивые локации, интересные события, игра имеет свой шарм и точку заинтересованности за счëт небольшой трудности и удовольствия от того что ты сам добился того или иного в довольно не простых условиях, игра не является трудной, но она и не для казуалов, из-за маленького онлайна и популярности с 2019года от разработчиков не было обновлений, если это кто-то читает, то пожалуйста распостраняйте этот шедевр, я искренне советую еë всем.

Great survival building RPG! Pretty graphics, physics are nice, and fundamentals just work out of the box. Not a lot of flashy distracting content/lore but plenty to discover.

Its time to see where this one got to with development finished. This game is good for the style of play, however I get that the game loop of find what you need to advance defend what you have already was not popular and even my friends with similar tastes had very short runs with this title, important thing to note is that we did have a great time just not a long time.

Странно, столько искал что то интересное, но стим так долго не показывал мне этот шедевр, не понимаю как такая великолепная игра могла оказаться в кривой фильтрации жанров, будто её скрывают от игроков.
Её нужно ставить в топы, чтобы больше людей узнали о ней, а чем больше людей тем лучше она станет.
Не понимаю ещё тех людей кто оставляет плохие отзывы на умные игры, если тебе тяжело играть - ищи легче игры, ненужно выдумывать, искать что то плохое чтобы выделить себя, у каждого есть свои недостатки, если искать их у каждого человека то выйдет то, что мы все бракованные, недоработанные, с кучей недостатков, не идеальны!
В плане игры, меня сильно удивила, побольше бы таких игр где указанна почти вся таблица Менделеева, экосистема, торговля, экономика, красивые пейзажи, свобода творчества, выживание и тд., такие игры именно учат всему и это зачёт!

Visually it is a beautiful, however it also feels like missed opportunity. Instead of fun with driving around sooner than later you are getting frustrated with endless occasions where you get stuck in some crack. It feels like sort of cheap 'guidance' to make player go for flying things, but for me it is just very very lame. And even using methane thrusters does not help much unless you are empty, which again feels like cheap grindy misfeature. I do appreciate that you feel difference between different types of wheels, and weather influences that but playing game is about having fun not being frustrated that you endlessly roll off edge of cliff you couldn't see because camera works certain way.
Then enemies and fights combined with camera behavior, I'd gladly disable them permanently, because for me it is totally irrelevant part of game play.
But to be fair, it is stable as far as I could tell so far, it has nice graphics, upgrades for vehicles feel relevant as they affect, sometimes a lot, how vehicle behaves in terrain and weather, still it is not something I'd recommend because there are too many missing opportunities to leave more room for freeform play of some sort, with less scenario enforced topics.
So this is a really sad outcome for this game. It had a lot of potential but unfortunately it never took off.
Now that it is free there really isn't a reason for anyone to not try it. You'll get a decent amount of time out of it.
I spent about $20 I think on this game looong time ago. Honestly I don't regret it but I do wish the game was more successful so it could have reached its full potential.

I recall the PVE being more demanding and constantly being under attack but maybe that's because we never balanced the environment back then. So combat feels rare now outside of instances. Which is a bit of a bummer. Base defense never happens unless you pollute or defend a npc quest. Even still though starting fresh and getting to end game was enjoyable. Even though I am stopping at this point since grinding gear upgrades is just a pain. I don't have regrets like I normally do with abandoned games.
I really like the game so far, slow peace that i like and beautiful graphic. Terrain can be troublesome to some player but I like this kind of struggle to push for better upgrade and discovery.
maps don't match where you are. there isn't 100 sq meters of flat space anywhere to build or adventure in. i have never played a more frustrating game.

No ♥♥♥♥ sherlock, it wasn't even close to being done yet. The overall concept and goal was awesome, could have genuinely been a much better windward. YOU JUST HAD TO GET IT TO A STAGE THAT SELLS, MAN!
Current product review: hot garbage though. Everything is unlocked through a research tree, which isn't really a problem, but... even the beginning nodes at the fastest server config values rival ARK's taming speeds.
Your equippables and vehicles are fleshed out, but no real PvE options to use them against.
This game was set up to fail because it was oriented for an MMO playerbase but with no playerbase that would retain because there was nothing worth sticking around for, especially in terms of PvP.

Was fairly enjoyable as an Early Access title assuming it was still being improved; two months later it's released from EA. There have been two minor 'updates' since then.
Awesome paying for a project whose developer doesn't give a crap about their 'fanbase'.
This is a fun game. Open world, random map generator, base building with a sprinkle of combat either PvP or PVE. What makes this game unique from other games of this type is there is a dose of logic, math and chemistry involved so an understanding of that is needed in order to enjoy this game. A shame that development/support has been discontinued. It has a great deal of potential. One knock on this game is the lack of documentation and/or the difficulty tracking down what little documentation exists to have a deeper understanding of how to play.

This game is an excellent game, the Dev put a lot of time and effort into the making of this game, I highly recommend it for those who love casual co-op, hardcore co-op, and even casual pvp, when i started the average player count was 1 - 3 on the servers, despite its appearance at first as an abandoned game, its due to the cost its had on the Dev Aren Mook of Tasharen, I'd recommend playing the game with friends, it really comes alive with friends, where you can build your own factions or all play under just one, fight pirates, trade with npc traders, or hunt a UFO, or Protector if you're feeling bold... The game is so simple yet deeply involved, I put as many hours in as i did because of how much fun it is, and about 90% of my time was with a friend or two, or even with my brother... and currently the game is free! no need to overlook it just because its free, I got my copy from a friend who likely has put more hours than me into it, this game is so very unique, and its a great game, it has science, chemistry, weapons, wars, co-op, exploration, trade, and a very large world to explore, lots of artifacts hidden on the world as well... While I cannot make anyone to play a game, all I can do is post this review, and with hope see new players appear, and maybe bring some interest in on the fun game Project 5: Sightseer

Controls are so clunky. Not worth even trying to play this sandbox.
is a fun exploration base builder
is slow paced but its made that way so you explore more for items and resources
has quests and combat, and has PvPvE combat in servers ( tho the game is a bit dead )
