let's call this the spiritual successor to [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/dohi64/recommended/253150]halfway[/url], a decent sci-fi tactics game with serious design problems. no mid-mission saving was the biggest problem there, which was alleviated here by offering shorter encounters. that is not how you address basic functionality issues.

same great pixel art but they went the lazy, shallow and ultra-repetitive roguelike way. there's a map, choose where you want to go, do some turn-based combat and events, manage resources, the usual stuff. then you die and try again. wouldn't have minded this indiana jones-like coat of paint instead of sci-fi if the gameplay was engaging or satisfying, but it's just extremely dull.

Pathway is a fun and interesting adventure tactics game. The main premise is in getting ourselves a group of adventurers with various skills and perks, and having them traverse the hostile desert areas of Middle East and Africa of the 1930s to complete several campaigns. Think the kind of setting from Indiana Jones and The Mummy. As we move through the desert, we try to uncover secrets of the ancients, whilst battling German Nazis and some supernatural enemies too, such as zombies and the cultists that engage in mysticism.

The gameplay has us go through nodes on the map of an area. Each node represents a location. Each time we move to the next node, we use up fuel, of which we have a limited supply. The nodes give us various story events, which are randomized on each attempt. You may come across a combat encounter, some loot, a merchant, or a story event with a skill check that could yield some rewards. If we engage in combat, it's grid-based and turn-based (though not isometric), and utilises simple cover system that we're all familiar with.

The fun is in experimentation by trying different teams of adventurers. We initially have 6 available, but over time get to unlock many others, and each have their weapon type of choice, as well as special perks and loadout options. For loadout options, some can equip grenades, some can equip medkits, etc. As for perks, these are mainly useful during skill checks. For example, an engineer perk would allow a character to fix something during a story event. And of course the main challenge, besides combat, is in managing your resources - fuel, ammo and supplies (these enable use of medkits and other items). Fuel perhaps is the hardest one to manage as it gets used up every time you move to the next node on the map, so you likely won't be able to visit all the side paths. And if you run out of fuel, you have to walk on foot, which damages party's HP.

It really is a neat and fun adventure game with tactics and management elements, so I'm not sure why it's sitting at "Mostly Positive" rating, as it offers a lot of fun gameplay elements and is well-polished. Sure, it can feel a bit repetitive over time, but most games of this type do. I personally think the campaigns (beyond the first one) can feel quite lengthy, and most combat encounters start to feel samey. But the game allows you to choose some options prior to starting a campaign. You can choose to start with more or fewer supplies for example. And you can make combat encounters shorter or longer (by having fewer or more enemies in each one). The most unfair thing that you *might* feel during the game is running out of fuel and being unable to find any nearby for a while.

The visuals use a charming pixel art style, and the music is pretty much of the heroic adventure style like we heard in Indiana Jones films. Sound effects and UI all work well together to convey the information and other important aspects.

I'm yet to complete all the campaigns, but I'm enjoying the game. It's really worth playing for anyone who is a fan of management and turn-based tactics.

A fun casual game that can be made more challenging using sliders for each adventure for those who want it. The art style is nostalgic and lends to the trope of Indiana Jones-esque adventure. I enjoyed getting into the flow of the mechanics and playing while watching sitcoms or another friend playing their own game. Also a game that doesn't demand much of your attention if you want to play it in the background during workhours.

I've been itching for a turn-based game like this! The squad preparation, choose-your-own-path adventures and turn-based combat are exactly what I wanted from a game like this. Certainly a diamond in the rough!

I love how I'm able to fine-tune the difficulty and replay adventures with different characters and setups. Progression also feels very balanced, things can feel tough but fair, and with some randomness in between there's always variation in how an adventure plays out.

My only minor gripe with this game so far is how it's not very clear when an adventure isn't done yet. It seems like you're at the end of the adventure (the tooltip seems to confirm this) but then there's more, without being able to swap out squad members, refueling or restocking. This kinda threw me off when I had just enough fuel left to make it to the end, only for it not to be the end yet.

Basically, a fun little tactics game---not as difficult as the DOS X-COM or Jagged Alliance titles, not as simple as one of the JRPG tactics variants. I liked the overall setting, the event writing, the pixel art and the soundtrack. Still, I'd rather give a mixed rating if I could, because there's quite a few nitpicks:

- The main one: Cover mechanics are counterintuitive and at odds with the environment art. Units may benefit from directly adjacent cover even though an attacker ostensibly has an unobstructed firing line, while conversely, cover on non-adjacent tiles doesn't count, even if it should probably add up to entirely obscure a target.

- Next to the weird cover mechanics, late-game combat is a little too repetitive and too simple for my taste: No proper overwatch, no running, no going prone, distance doesn't influence to-hit rates or damage, very limited skills, and so on.

- After the first three adventures, you'll probably have seen everything Pathway has to offer: Overworld events start to repeat a lot, as do the combat scenarios---it's either kill all random cultists or kill all random Nazis, never anything else. There's just about 10 same-ish enemy types, in later stages with more health and damage, but without any new skills or surprises. Insult to injury, [spoiler]the endings of the later four adventures are a letdown: no unique boss encounters (I wanted to fight the Black Pharao), and pretty similar, elusive events where the McGuffin explodes before you get your hands on it.[/spoiler]

- From the outset, the game appears to feature an end-to-end storyline over five adventures. However, unless I missed some in-game events, the actual missions are just loosely connected. Together with the previous point, I think I'd have preferred one full game with pre-decided maps and encounters instead of five repeatable, rogue-lite missions.

- The UI is rather glitchy. For example, the action buttons remain clickable while units move (animation and click SFX included), but the clicks just don't have any effect. Likewise, I managed to get scrolling stuck once, and if you hastily click on pick-ups during their revealing animation, the pick-ups just don't appear (but can still be taken). Finally, auto-changes of units on exhaustion of actions accidentially made me move the next unit every now and then.

- While the orchestral score is great (could well come from a lost Indy movie), the score repeats so often that it becomes mind-numbing. It doesn't help that the in-game music choice seemingly doesn't consider context (i.e. which theme plays on which event).

Oyuna başlarken belirli karakterlerden oluşan bir tim oluşturuyorsunuz. Hepsinin özelliği ve kullanabildiği silahlar birbirinden farklı. Bu özelliğiyle biraz Wasteland'a benzetebiliriz. Bütün karakterler açık değil ve zamanla siz oynadıkça açıyorsunuz.

Oyun iki kısımdan oluşuyor denilebilir bunlar: geniş haritada piyonlarınızı oynattığınız ve savaş-dövüş ekranı.

Oyun genişçe ve çoğunlukla Amerikancı tabirle "orta doğu" bize göre ise yakın doğu bölgesinde çeşitli büyük haritalarda geçmekte. Bu haritalarda ekibinizi götürdüğünüz pin noktalarında ilerletiyorsunuz. Vardığınız yerin özelliğini oraya gitmedikçe bilmiyorsunuz. Burası oyunun geniş haritada piyonunuzu yönlendirdiğiniz bir masa-kutu oyunu kısmını temsil ediyor. Orada çeşitli etkileşimlerde bulunabiliyor, karakterlerle konuşabiliyor ve çoğunlukla düşmanların olduğu bölgelere saldırabiliyor veya uzaklaşabiliyorsunuz. Saldırmak için çeşitli hikayesel gidişata göre gizlilik özelliğini ya da direkt saldırıyı kullanabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca bu noktalarda düşmanlarınızın sizi pusuya düşürme olasılığı da oluyor.
Vardığınız bölgede sadece düşmanlar değil yardımınızı isteyen zararsız insan topluluklarına veya size yardım edebilecek kimselere de rastlayabiliyorsunuz. Çoğu pin noktasında bir savaşa (neredeyse hepsinde) girdiğinizi söyleyebilirim dolayısıyla öyle çok fazla rol yapma temelli olduğunu düşünmeyin. Savaş esnası ise x-com benzeri üstten görünümlü, 2 boyutlu, ızgara temelli oynanışıyla tur bazlı bir oyuna dönüşüyor. Kaynaklarınızı iyi kullanmalı ve planlarınızı iyi yapmalısınız.

Kolay zorluklarda oyun sıkıcılaşıyor ve kötüleştiğini söyleyebilirim. Daha zor seviyeler ise oldukça sizi zorluyor ama daha fazla tadını alabilmenizi sağlıyor.

Kameranın komut verdikten sonra sürekli hareket eden birime odaklanmasını sevmedim. Özgürce hareket etmek isterdim. Onun dışında köşelerden fare ile etrafı haritayı gezinebiliyorsunuz. Oyunu ve hikayeyi takip etmeden hızlıca oynarsanız oldukça tekrara düşerek sizi sıkabilir dolayısıyla iyi bir verim alabilmek için olup bitenleri takip etmek gerekiyor ancak yani olaylar da öyle fazla takip edilesi değil. Çeşitlilik var ancak yani bir süre sonra "burada ne oluyormuş acaba ?" merakını kaybettim. Çünkü savaştıktan ve ganimeti aldıktan sonra bir daha orasıyla herhangi bir etkileşime geçmeyeceğim. Savaş bittiğinde yani son düşmanı öldürdüğünüzde hemen oyunun durmasını ve oradan ayırlmaya sizi zorlayan bir pencerenin açılmasını sevmedim. Toplayacak ögeler eklenebilir ve kendi isteğimizle oradan ayırlma temelli bir mekanik eklenmeliydi. Haritalar oldukça güzel tasarlanmış, incelemek gezinmek bakınmak isterdim. Ne kadar kaliteli olsa da birden kapanıp yok olması boşuna harcanmış emek gibi kalmış. Her bölgenin farklı harita olması ve çok çok çeşitli yapıların bulunması ve haritaların birbirinden farklılığı oyunu çok zenginleştirmiş.

Çok büyütülecek bir oyun değil ancak renkleri, desenleri, piksel görselleri, mekan tasarımları ve oynanışıyla beni etkileyen bir parti tabanlı strateji oyunu oldu. Beklentinizi yüksek tutmadan oldukça oynanabilir güzel bir yapım olmuş. Tarzı sevenlere öneriyorum.

It's __okay__. It gives XCOM and FTL vibes, but a worse game then either.
Positives:
1. Setting -- Love the Raiders of the Lost Ark vibe. I always want more of that type of content.
2. Graphics -- Great art style.
3. Item system is neat -- Good item progression, cool stuff. Not super complex but I prefer that to some other RPGs that have so many modifiers and attributes that you have to do calculus to optimize equipment.
4. UI - Its nice, contributes to the art style.
Negatives (too many for me to probably make this game a go-to like FTL, etc.)
1. The UX is terrible -- I'm sorry but it just feels clunky. The menus are hard to parse, a lot of actions are intuitive like other RPGs. I'm not sure what the math behind values are either. They present things like "+8 accuracy". Is that decent? Good? Great? Amazing? Give me percents, or something I can work with intuitively. I can't make decisions if values are opaque. Maybe I'm spoiled from Paradox's grand strategy.
2. Codex / Help -- Not sure if this is a english speaking studio but the writing on the help isn't great. A lot of sentences are not specific and descriptive, especially around combat.
3. Music -- I'm pretty sure there is a single song on repeat. The song is great for the first two hours and then I want to turn it off. There are no themes, no combat music scores, no triumph scores, nothing. It sucks. Plain and simple sucks.
4. Combat -- not much to say. Boring. Larian has amazing combat systems. XCOM too. Even indie games like Banner saga. This just feels dull. The inability to have movement points and split attacks and movement makes this game almost unplayed for me. I don't feel compelled by the action economy, it feels like complications for complications sake. I need to reload? Eh... maybe I just don't "get it".
5. Overall mechanics. If your medic dies, you're screwed. Game over. This doesn't feel correct and runs counter to every game I've ever played. There is no ability to revive players outside of your medic? What if your medic dies? Basically all of your characters need to be medics. This is the worst mechanic I've ever encountered and makes this game considerably less enjoyable. The lack of a universal revive mechanic does not make this game hard, it limits my ability to strategize over an adventure. It's bad design. You can have hard games with the ability to tactically recover from defeat. But if your medic skilled character dies its over. Even in other dungeon crawler rouge like games you can quaff a health potion, you can revive a downed party member.

Overall, I do not recommend buying this game unless its the price of a bodega coffee. It looks like its not in active development anymore so I'm shouting into the void but this feels like a debut project from indie developers who just wanted resume fluff. The story elements are dull, the RPG elements are unoriginal, and I really don't see anything that makes this game shine above the alternatives. Cool idea but needs serious help in my opinion.

Bon, décidément, j’ai l’impression d’être malchanceux avec ces jeux Chucklefish : je finis toujours par être déçu.
Pourtant, comme pour les autres déceptions (Halfway et Wargroove), ça commençait bien : un aspect visuel en 2D pixel-art aguicheur, une bande-son de très grande qualité, et un setting dans les années 30 qui faisait envie.
Oui mais voilà, encore une fois le gameplay est desséché. On constate pourtant des améliorations par rapport à Halfway pour apporter de la profondeur : une dimension RPG dans laquelle les personnages évoluent et progressent avec un arbre de compétences, une carte à embranchements qui laisse différents choix au joueur, et plus de choix de personnages.

Mais voilà, toutes les missions sont les mêmes. Ça devient vite très redondant. Pire encore, il n’y a pas véritablement d’histoire, de réel fil conducteur, seulement des campagnes à effectuer en choisissant ses personnages au préalable. Les personnages, parlons-en. Ils n’ont strictement aucun relief. Aucune histoire. Ce sont des avatars que le joueur va préférer en fonction de leurs spécialités (soin, tir de précision, etc.).

Ça donne au final encore une coquille vide dans laquelle on ne se sent pas très investi, dans laquelle on ne s’amuse pas tant. Les nazis faut tous les dézinguer, okay certes, le nazi c’est mal, mais quand même, si on avait un motif personnel, une réelle raison, au moins une excuse un peu plus fournie ? C’est pareil dans l’autre sens, visiblement ils sont immédiatement hostiles avec nos personnages sans pourtant sembler les connaître, bah je veux bien, mais pourquoi ??

Dernière chose, la config’ de la maniabilité sur Steamdeck, c’est vraiment mal fichu et pas bien pensé. On doit naviguer à coup de boutons latéraux tout azimuts pour les personnages et les actions, pourquoi ne pas opter pour la simplicité de notre bonne vieille croix directionnelle pour gagner en aisance ET en rapidité ? Elle qui semble malheureusement méprisée et mise de côté…

Bref, c’est pas un coup de cœur. Mais si vous êtes insensible aux faiblesses que j’ai soulevées, peut-être y trouverez-vous votre compte. Moi j’abandonne.

I love it, haven't played anything else since I got it. It has map progression using fuel resource like FTL or Breachway, the combat feels like XCOM lite. There's lots of looting so you're always looking for better gear and weapons. Lots of unlocks and progression and a pretty cool theme/story which feels a bit like Indiana Jones fighting the Germans in the desert, of course those Germans are messing with occult... cultists and zombies too!

Combat and tactics are meh. Events are the bane of real tactical games.

Nothing smart or thoughtful, no overwatch, free reloads, weird ap system etc.
Don't let the pretty pixel art fool you.

Disappointing game so far, compared with HALFWAY their previous game
which I enjoyed and recommend.

After doing all the chapters same opinion as other reviews. PATHWAY gets old
and boring fast, as all combats are the same.

Shallow combat and options, Lacking maps readability
( cover vs open vs blocked) , overall design and ai ( same enemies just more hp ).

Cover system doesn't make sense and is either 100% in same line or base 50%.
No aimed shots nor anything tactical etc. So just go for 100% shots pull back rinse repeat ...

Try HALFWAY their previous turn based tactical game.

Pathway, c’est ce petit jeu qui ne paie pas de mine au premier coup d’œil… et qui vous accroche rapidement avec son charme. Un univers coloré, un pixel art soigné, et une ambiance pulp qui rappelle immédiatement les aventures d’Indiana Jones, version jeu rétro.

Le gameplay est bien pensé : exploration, gestion d’équipe, choix narratifs et combats tactiques au tour par tour. On avance de mission en mission, on gère ses ressources, et chaque expédition a ce petit parfum de “juste une dernière partie avant d’arrêter”. C’est agréable, fluide, et l’ensemble respire la passion pour le genre. On sent que le studio a voulu proposer une expérience accessible, mais avec suffisamment de variété pour qu’on ait toujours envie de repartir sur le terrain.

Pathway, c’est le genre de jeu qui vous offre un billet pour l’aventure, à mi-chemin entre un vieux pulp des années 30 et un tactical moderne. Un vrai petit plaisir à mettre dans sa bibliothèque.

Its a rogue like. Better design than some other rogue-likes. I looks like individual random encounters are custom designed. Or at least some are with a bit of story. Inspired mainly by the old indiana jones movies.

Your character keep experience from one run to another. You keep items and cash from one run to another. So you are expected to lose the first run and maybe a few runs until characters are strong enough to move onto the next adventure. So don't get mad when you lose the first try.

Squad turn based strategy combat. Its fine so far. Different characters have unique abilties. I haven't noticed DEI being too bad so far, though someone snuck in the word anti-fascist in there. It does actually fit in context since indiana jones did fight the nazis. I am on alert for dei though, and will update if I notice any writing obviously written by an obese blue-haired otherkin.

There are some issues with how the game runs. Scrolling is kind of stiff. Especially with the mouse in windowed mode (default). Also, the game isn't shutting down properly. It says 55 hours but its more like 3 or 4. Its just I didn't notice that steam thought the game was still running when I exited so now it say 55 hours. PLease fix that bug. EDIT: I forgot to mention the initial load time is way too long for a simple retro pixel game. The two animations play then its a black screen for 5 minutes while you wonder if the game has crashed. They got doom to play on a ti 83, there is absolutely no excuse for that load time on modern systems.

Pathway is a very fun and well-designed turn-based grid strategy game. You can unlock a total of 16 characters, each with their own stats, talents, and skill trees! There are 5 story adventures and a massive number of different events to go through and experience while playing.

The achievements in Pathway are a mixed bag. Outside of progression and hardmode, achievements are either for random events or doing something X number of times. Most of these are fine, but because of the sheer number of events and the rarity of some of them, the event achievements can be frustrating to find. I spent about 20 hours searching for a single event to get the last achievement I needed, and didn't find it before creating an entirely new save file to run through the game again searching for it. There is a player-written guide telling you where you can find each event, but achievement hunting in this game can get a bit frustrating when all you have left are event achievements.

I recommend Pathway to lovers of adventure and turn-based strategy combat.

I really like the way this game was designed. Lots of freedom of choice and a choose your own adventure. I haven't put a lot of hours in but that's because I don't play a lot of single player turn based games. Would love to see a sequel with co-op because this is an excellent game.

インディジョーンズ風の世界観で、ナチスや邪教集団と戦いながら古代の謎を追う。

昔のスーファミっぽいグラフィックと、雰囲気のある音楽、完璧な日本語訳で序盤はワクワクさせてくれる。しかし、他レビューにもあるように、かなりカジュアルな内容になっており、コアなゲーマーにはだいぶ物足りないと思われる。コンセプトが大昔のパルプアドベンチャー小説にならった内容ということなので、意図的にそうしてあるのかもしれないが、すべてが薄っぺらい感じを受けてしまう。プレイアブルキャラクターも実績解除で色々アンロックされていくが、彼らの人物像についてはほぼ説明がなく、得意武器やステータスが違っている程度で、あまり興味をもてなかった。自動生成されたマップを燃料が尽きないように注意しながら進んでいくが、同じような戦闘を繰り返していくだけになりがちで、途中で飽きてくる。そのため燃料に余裕があれば、避けられる戦闘は全て避けていくという進め方が効率的で精神衛生に良い進め方になってしまう。

けなしてばかりになってしまったが、価格は安いし、軽く、初心者や子供でもプレイ可能な難易度と表現方法、ちゃんとした日本語訳、等々、ポジティブ要素が多かったので一応おすすめできる。

官方应当好好反思一下玩家为什么不愿意重复玩这个游戏
除开第一个关卡，其他的都持续三个地图，中间大量的重复和拖沓
游戏人物很多，但其实战斗表现来看非常同质化，触发事件方面，结合上一行所说，空旷的地图上只有枯燥乏味的重复战斗，普通事件一张图一句话，和没发生过一样，特殊事件要依靠人物的特殊能力才能继续进行，有时候仅仅一个人物还完成不了，一个队伍起手任选三人，途中随缘增加一个，这样的情况下想要触发较为稀有的特殊事件真的千难万难。
我打了双倍于剧本数量的游戏局数，积累性任务还不到总要求数量的1/3，特殊事件更是只见过最容易的几个，制作者也许是想通过这样的方式延长游戏可玩性，但其实只是把游戏变得更急枯燥乏味，我觉得设计这方面的制作者如果亲自通关了游戏就不会还留着这么滑稽的设定。

Pathway es una aventura de acción RPG y estrategia por turnos, inspirada en clásicos como Indiana Jones, donde confluyen paisajes desérticos, nazis, tiroteos y misterios relacionados con las artes oscuras. Corre el año 1936, las tropas Nazis se encuentran en su apogeo expansionista, ocupando territorios y buscando tesoros mágicos que pongan a Alemania a la vanguardia. Deberemos reunir un grupo de aventureros, que unirán fuerzas y destrezas para acometer distintas misiones. Ayudar a un amigo en apuros en el desierto de Marruecos, persigue a un peligroso culto que trata de despertar a un antiguo Faraón egipcio y explora misteriosas profecías enterradas en lo más profundo de las ruinas de Arabia. Cada campaña se genera de forma aleatoria y a pesar de que ciertos eventos serán fijos, habrán otros aleatorios que harán de cada aventura un nuevo viaje.

Pathway es un juego de gran calidad, tanto a nivel gráfico con su excelente pixelart, como a nivel de mecánicas y gameplay. Cada misión principal, o capítulo, nos plantea un gran escenario desértico compuesto por distintas ubicaciones y rutas. El combustible de nuestro vehículo será limitado, por lo que no podremos visitar todas las localizaciones, haciendo que cada aventura sea distinta. La mayoría de enclaves consistirán en enfrentamientos con enemigos, pero también encontraremos mercaderes, nuevos personajes, recursos y eventos aleatorios. Comenzaremos eligiendo un set de personajes inicial, nuestro equipo, cada uno con una serie de atributos, habilidades, equipo y armamento, que condicionarán su desempeño en cada pelea. En el jeep podremos cargar distintos ítems para nuestros personajes, armas o salud, así como una determinada cantidad de combustible y munición.
Los combates serán por turnos, con un estilo similar a los juegos de XCOM en cuanto al posicionamiento, cobertura, % de acierto y puntos de acción, pero con un diseño pixelart y un mapa formado por cuadrículas, donde tendremos que colocar y mover a nuestros personajes de forma estratégica para acabar con todos los enemigos. El juego ofrece multitud de detalles, ya que aparte de los combates, tendremos que equipar sabiamente a nuestros personajes, subir sus atributos conforme asciendan de nivel y gestionar suministros/combustible/munición para sobrevivir, puesto que quedarnos sin estos pueden provocar que la aventura termine de forma prematura.

Personalmente, Pathway me ha parecido un juego de estrategia sobresaliente. A nivel gráfico me parece que el nivel de detalle de su pixelart es de 10, la trama engancha y hace que revivamos algunas famosas películas de nuestra infancia, combinando hechos históricos con misterios y rituales mágicos. Los combates son muy entretenidos, obligando a tener en cuenta diversos factores del entorno, distintos tipos de enemigos y siempre con un componente que depende del azar y la suerte, como determinados eventos o el porcentaje de acierto al atacar. Por último, el factor RPG nos permite profundizar en variopintos personajes con sus atributos, habilidades, fortalezas y debilidades. Todos estos factores incrementan la rejugabilidad de manera exponencial, otorgándole un componente roguelite y haciendo que cada aventura sea distinta a la anterior, disfrutándola como la primera vez. Obra maestra, perfectamente adaptada a Steam Deck y que ofrece más de 60 horas de entretenimiento.

Bardzo przyjemna do grania w tle bez skupiania na fabule. Jak na grę indie jest bardzo dopracowana. Gra dla początkujących daje strategiczne wyzwanie na dalszych poziomach, natomiast AI posiada logiczne problemy pomijając dostosowanie do poziomu trudności. Grafika jest świetna, to samo można powiedzieć o muzyce, która dopełnia całość luźniejszej gierki na wolny wieczór (najlepiej kilka).

Gnadenlos gutes Spiel für wenig Geld. Robotality hat sich da ein Meisterwerk hingeklotzt. Das Spiel erinnert an Indy und XCom die ein uneheliches Kind miteinander haben. Es macht Spaß und wenn ich mir jetzt ein negativen Aspekt aus den Finger saugen müsste dann wäre das lediglich das für Achievment Hunters das Spiel ein deutlicher Pain werden könnte, da es einige gibt, die einfach nur repetatives Grinden beinhalten. Ansonsten, geile Geschichte die man sich selber "spinnt", Entscheidungen die getroffen werden müssen und natürlich Action und Taktik die nicht zu kurz kommt. Klares Ja aus meiner Sicht ;)

缺点和优点都很明显的游戏。精致的像素画，扎营的光影变化实在是很漂亮，并且游戏难度也尚可，打过的关卡允许重复挑战刷装备，这就极大的降低了游戏的难度。游戏整体的难度也不高，七块体验整个故事是十分值得的。
缺点就是作为战棋类游戏，它的系统有点过于简化了，以至于几乎没有深度和策略，即使是轻度的战棋，这种简化也过头了。整个游戏的可持续游玩的点仅仅在刷武器上。走路+攻击两个行动点锁死了整个游戏，尤其是游戏的近战角色，基本上没什么用，带两把刀也不能攻击两次，走到人堆里就成了活靶子，没有做好武器角色的定位。
这个游戏的潜力很大，如果有续作还是需要平衡好难度的设计，随机的地图事件和武器词条是可以让游戏的重复游玩度极大提高的。

Really solid tactical RPG, feels very similar to FTL in terms of map exploration but very different in combat. Items and levels carry over between runs, you unlock more characters and items by simply playing more of the campaign and doing more of just about everything in the game.

Great Strategy turn-based adventure game, that would be familiar to anyone who's watched Indiana Jones.

Go on adventure in 1930s Egypt, Djibouti and the Arabian desert, fight Nazis and cultists, and discover what they're scheming towards.

- More than 20 weapons with different tiers (uncommon, rare, etc..).
- Over 12 characters to play with, some with pre-requisite challenges to unlock.
- Solid level-up system, with branching choices.
- Good choice and consequence points.

Overall fun and well-researched game, that's worth a try :)

You have to kill dogs. I understand that, in war, armies use dogs and soldiers are forced to kill them, so they have done this for realism. Yet there are hundreds of aspects of war which are not included, it's still a fairly simple and streamlined game, so the fact that they chose "killing dogs" to be a point of realistic combat makes me feel like the designers just really wanted to kill dogs. They've included an option to turn off the animations and sound effects of the dogs dying, but still. You have to kill the dogs, it isn't optional, there is no way to complete a mission without killing the dogs.

I don't want to play a game where i have to kill dogs.

It's a nice point-crawl with carefully woven pulp references, drawing a lot on the likes of Lovecraft and Indiana Jones. I really dig it. Combat is complex enough without being too deep. Story is yummy,

Fantastic turn based adventures leading you on Indiana Jones-esque dramatic pathways through ancient secrets, rolling deserts, & various natural, inhuman & supernatural enemies.

Lots of random situations, fairly forgiving rng based events/combat, & dialogue that draws you into the journeys you are on. You feel connection to your characters where upgrading their stats & getting new gear is exciting.

Pathway is fun, well priced, & keeps you going back for more. The drawbacks for the game are limited imo. Well worth buying, either for a roll on through 1 shot adventure, or with varying replayability that I usually wouldn't go for.

They've improved the formula considerably since they made Halfway - which I recently played and disliked compared to Pathway.

Looking forward to the next Way series game.
