Venho com sentimentos conflituosos.
O jogo é tão bom quanto seu antecessor. Alguns pontos da história realmente me surpreenderam e a primeira jogatina passa uma vibe de que todas as decisões em relação a todos os personagens importam.

Só não é bem assim. A história é bem pé no chão. Cada personagem com o qual interage tem seu próprio arco basicamente isolado, sem interferir muito com dos outros personagens e muito menos com o final propriamente dito. Isso fica evidenciado nos gráficos com as porcentagens no final, com a maioria sendo se interagiu ou não o suficiente com o personagem.

Assim como o primeiro tem uma atmosfera legal e uma trilha sonora maneirinha. Os diálogos foram bem construídos e com vozes excelentes. Achei o Jacob muito menos cativante que Jonas do primeiro jogo, e com uma relação bem menos interessante com a protagonista.

Porém, diferente do primeiro, achei o jogo mais dinâmico. Acho que por ter quase sempre alguém a conversar enquanto anda, a movimentação não é tão agonizante quanto o outro, além de ter que usar o rádio bem menos. Por conta disso a rejogabilidade não foi tão prejudicada, levei meu tempo na primeira jogatina e fiz em quase 9h, e depois fiz os outros dois finais em mais 10h.

Em geral não diria que o primeiro jogo precisava de uma sequência, mas foi uma experiência agradável.

Como uma continuação do primeiro oxenfree, acredito que foi um jogo muito divertido, os diálogos são bem legais, a história é muito boa, a dublagem (em inglês) é realmente muito boa, você consegue sentir tensão em diversos momentos. No geral é um jogo bom, porém senti falta de alguns puzzles mais complexos, na maioria do tempo você apenas anda por aí escolhendo diálogos, acredito que poderiam ter adicionado mais momentos de desafios, mas fiquei satisfeito jogando, caso essa descrição se encaixe no seu estilo de jogo esse jogo é para você, ou se você gostou do primeiro jogo esse jogo também é para você.
Fico feliz que tenha tido um complemento para a história principal do primeiro jogo, foi um jogo que me marcou por um tempinho e agora com sua continuação finalmente temos uma conclusão para a história.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals delivers a really interesting narrative that provides a solid conclusion to the story started in the first game. The characters are all well written and voiced in a way that truly brings their personalities to life. I especially loved the dynamic between Riley and Jacob because it grows much stronger as the game progresses. Depending on how you choose to play and respond, they genuinely feel like close friends by the time you reach the end. There are also plenty of collectibles to find that expand on the lore and the conversations of Maggie Adler. You even get to interact with various side characters over different radio stations which allows Riley to deepen her relationships across the island. One of the best improvements over the original is the refined dialogue system. Now when you choose a response the game waits until the current speaker finishes their line before Riley talks which makes the conversations feel much smoother.

On the downside the process of finding collectibles is not much of a challenge since they just exist plainly in the world. I personally preferred how the first game turned the letters into more of a clever treasure hunt. The final choice in the story also feels a bit too obvious for its own good. Even though the game gives you three different options to pick from one clearly stands out as the right choice and that takes away some of the emotional impact.

Overall this is a strong follow up with great characters and a compelling story even if the collectible hunting and the ending choices could have been more engaging. If you were a fan of the first game you will likely find a lot to enjoy in this sequel.

This game is every bit as good as the original, but...that's only if you pretend the original doesn't exist. Because it's sort of just one big re-tread of the same story/themes as the original game. I'd be very surprised if the dev team ACTUALLY wanted to make a sequel. I can see from the copyright by Netflix at the end who funded this, and likely why. This game was likely one of the more successful games that Netflix purchased the rights to for their gaming division that no one uses. They probably said "hey....this game did well. here's a bunch of money. make a second one." and the original development team probably said "Well....okay....I guess. We didn't plan on a sequel, but since the money is right there...."

The whole game just feels like the first game...but again. You get new teenagers to deal with. And new people and new drama that comes with them. But the actual *meat* of the game--the spooky ghost stuff--just feels exactly the same. I didn't learn anything new, I just did what the game wanted, and it ended. If I hadn't played the first game, this one would have been way more enjoyable, because it's sort of the same game all over again. Which is a little ironic considering the heavy use of "time loop" themes the plot draws from.

I'm not going to recommend this game, but not because it's not good or because it's bad--but because it's just...not necessary. It doesn't really expand on any of the established lore in any meaningful ways, and it doesn't do anything new at all when compared to the original. It's just. The original....again, but a little different.

First of all, I loved how this game brings back characters from the first game. I won't spoil it, but the way the past has caused all the future/present problems is clever and a bit heart-wrenching. At its core, this is a story about returning — to a place, to a past, to a version of yourself you thought you’d outgrown. It carries the same eerie, radio‑haunted atmosphere as the first game, but the tone is older, quieter, more human. You feel the weight of time in every conversation and begin to question just about everything. If anything, I do wish the choices I had made in the first game carried over somehow because the game itself carries that weight of the past already.

It's strange, growing up and waiting for a day, maybe even hoping for a whole year, to "catch up" on your lists and "fix" whatever problems you've been dragging behind you your life up until that one day. Thinking this is what needs to happen to be that better person, you just need the time, it'd be helpful to get some sort of map and cheat sheet to guide you through it. But we're all thrown into life in ways we don't like, but walking through that fire is what we all need to do.
I loved Oxenfree, played it when I was 20, fantastic soundtrack, interesting story.
Oxenfree 2 in my late 20s really drives the story into you.
Also, another killer soundtrack.

Oxenfree II is a kind-of-ish sequel to Oxenfree, though you don’t need to play it first to understand. I enjoyed the game even though I am unsure if a sequel was needed.

Music, sound effects, all of those are decent. However, what elevates this game is the voice-acting and the way dialogue works. I really enjoy how similar it is to a real conversation and how this allows the characters to have more personality.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but it works nice, and the environment and character designs are good.

It is basically a point-and-click game with some extra steps. Nothing groundbreaking, and perhaps even a bit bland in some aspects.

It also a serious issue with conversation triggers since they can be very random or easy to miss, locking you out of content if you have some bad luck.

The story is interesting and follows a similar premise as the first Oxenfree, it also has plenty of call-backs to it. It does expand the world significantly and lets you know more about the impacts of the sunken on it. Near the end you also see the direct connection between both games.

I am unsure about what I really think about the game. I did enjoy it, but was it worth getting a sequel? not sure. Will there be a third entry in the future that kind of erases the endings here again? We will have to see.

it’s fine, but made me wish i was playing the original instead. a huge step down for the first game even if it does have moments that really shine. it’s less creepy, less fun mechanically, and so much walking around—which sucks because the map is so bad and confusing. also it’s advertised that “your choices affect the story,” but they really don’t, not until the very end i guess. but it looks great, i liked the two leads, and the story was interesting enough to see it to the end

If you like spooky and supernatural adventures, picture-book illustrations, and realistic character development, pick up Oxenfree II: Lost Signals!

Got the game on release day back in 2023, and was drawn into the world of Camena soon after. I put the game down for about two years due to reasons unrelated to my enjoyment of the game, but found myself easily immersed back in and enjoying myself, afew days ago. Even while being sick as heck with covid! The forest and mountainous atmosphere of this game was rather soothing.

As a then late twenties now early thirties person, I found myself relating and smiling away to Riley and Jacob in their dialogue. Especially as someone who also left their "hometown" and returned, those relatable feelings of coming back to what was familiar and yet foreign. It's sweet how (in my playthrough) they were such lovely friends. Friendship is underrated. Their interactions are just so calming, and he's a bit dorky but respectful - I really liked all of the characters in this game.

The radio and walkie-talkie feature was really cool as well, and added to the immersiveness and suspense.

The ending I chose, was satisfying too. Definitely recommend this game. :-)

After making a game like Oxenfree, anything after that is just setting yourself up for failure, the characters were super weak, and irrelevant. The interpersonal relationships the first game mastered did not even hold a candle to this group, and the mysteriousness of the story was completely gone. It technically a well made game but the story just can't keep up. Writing review this months after playing this I'm just dissatisfied.

The charm of the first Oxenfree doesn't really carry over to the second one.
There's a lot of... "stuff" crammed into Oxenfree 2's story, but it feels like it's covering for a lack of depth in any single aspect. Cults! Weirdness! More! Bigger! Did I mention cults?? I don't feel like any individual aspect is given room to breathe.
It just feels like it's missing the point.

Shifts from the teenaged characters of the first game to focusing on two main characters in their 30s struggling with their adulthood but keeps the well written realistic feeling and expertly acted dialogue between the leads. The focus around the two main characters and one of the somewhat more main side characters being individually more troubled by or stuck worrying about their future, present, or past is a good focus. Jacob was a great character and companion with him frequently being a bit more of a humorous character but typically giving him some better observations and reflections on the life he has lived and wants to live. While focusing on new characters, does continue the story of the previous game's cast being stuck in a time loop.

Hurts itself by being mechanically less interesting than the original was, being much more of a game about walking back and forth between areas. Also has few interesting characters outside the two leads, which comes from the vast majority of the game just being the two of them talking as you traverse the game's locations. The other three side characters you are physically interacting with are one teenage boy and girl who have next to no screen time, and another teenage girl causing most of the problems you are facing by trying to reunite with her dead parents and whose family is part of a cult that seems like it would be more important especially when you can learn about their much more violent origins but that aspect never ends up mattering. Everyone else you talk to are spoken to over the radio as you gain access to their channels and most of them just don't add much to the experience, on top of a couple of them just being easy to miss entirely. You never know when you can radio someone for a new conversation so you have to frequently check channels as you move around. Obviously, being in a conversation makes the dull nature of just walking around more interesting, except events or conversations with the other lead can disrupt your radio conversations and force you to restart them. Your choices can alter the relationships with the four characters you meet which can influence some minor actions they take but with two of them barely existing in the story the relationship system doesn't influence much. It also doesn't do anything interesting mechanically, really barely does anything at all, with the tears in reality leading to other places or moments in time. What it does like to do is have a minigame where you need to rotate around signal images until you can make them both visible in a picture and layer them on top of each other around five times, something I'm pretty sure no one wants to ever do.

Personally, I've almost always hated a focus on parenthood and relationships with parents in most stories which becomes a big part of your characters story and is the full focus of your partial antagonist. Probably because most are either kill the mom/everyone for a vengeance motive or the other more realistic generic thing like this has this with your soured relationship with you dad having caused the downfall of your life because you couldn't get any friends, engage with your community, or find a hobby in 33 years. You have some hallucination/time travel/flashback moments where your dad is with you as if you were a kid but you don't know anything about their later relationship. The only thing that I saw getting mentioned is you briefly joined the military like your former air force dad and he was disappointed you quit, which immediately makes me dislike both characters. If only I could drone strike a wedding to repair my relationship with daddy, then my life wouldn't suck. And it doesn't help that the other girl whose willing to get her friends or everyone killed to bring back mommy and daddy barely gets any screen time and you don't know anything about her parents at all except they were in a cult, so I don't have much sympathy there. The focus on parenthood also leads to the plot dealing with an unplanned pregnancy causing more worry over thinking that their relationship with their future kid will end up the same as their relationship with their parents. Of course, you can never even consider abortion as an option or even a topic to bring up for an unwanted pregnancy, you need to make it something you can become strong enough to want or to at least emotionally deal with. Your relationship with your dad could have had more context or relatable moments by focusing on your character saying he is getting old and not in the best health and maybe not knowing how to deal with that or see him like that puts a strain on their relationship, or his age and health stop him from doing the things you remember and connect with him in their outdoor hiking/explorations but instead it's just I got older and our relationship got worse and now that will happen with my kid because. Any description of the other character's relationship with her dead parents is along the lines of, "I can bring them back and we can run through the sunshine flower meadows of happiness again."

A lot of the conversations between the leads make the game enjoyable and that is what much of the game is, it has a nice area visually to explore, and some of side radio characters have good conversations and endings for their stories. Anytime it is not dealing with the themes of parenthood or the main plot I really enjoyed it. The main plot, due to a lot of what is going on being covered in the previous game, and most of the supporting, antagonist, and previous cast of characters getting almost no screen time hurts the experience. It also isn't doing anything interesting with its relationship building or its good dialogue system where you can interrupt or remain silent during conversations which feels like it is much more suited to having a larger group of people actively interacting as opposed to the one on one conversations that make up almost all moments in this game, it has been nearly 10 years but I seem to remember that being better handled in the first game.

Il y a une vraie enquête avec des multiples dialogues pour faire progresser l'histoire durant les moments creux. L'histoire est intriguant et le fil rouge du jeu tient en haleine. It just doesn't offer something particularly new compared to the first game, and I really wish Night School Studio would continue to create new and original stories after Afterparty, instead of making sequels to their previous games.

Heads up: if you have not played the first game, please pause and go play it. You will be very lost playing this one without playing the first game.

I enjoyed my time with Oxenfree 2, and I would say its a decent follow-up to Oxenfree 1. I like the addition of climbing, and the game felt simple but engaging. Riley as a protagonist is excellent--paired with her great voice-acting, she is complicated and compelling. I like her a whole lot, and the game gives you crumbs of her past life throughout your run that made me want to keep playing to figure her out more.

Speaking of voice-acting: just like the first game, its really good and the actors do a fantastic job. Jacob, your partner in this journey, is fun and a good foil to Riley. My only complaint is that the first game had more characters, so there was more dialogue with different people. Although from time to time you can radio someone, you are spending the most time with Jacob. And poor guy has a LOT to say. He's goofy in a cute Shaggy way, but my god does he talk and talk.

In terms of story, its decent. It's not as good as the first one in terms of overall story, but I liked the new characters enough that I kept playing. I'm a bit conflicted about its tie-in to the first game, as [spoiler] it's meant to tie-up the True Ending of Oxenfree 1 [/spoiler]. I almost wish it was a standalone game, but at the same time, Oxenfree 1 was already such an isolated story....how can you do a second one with the very same mechanics and gimmicks? Like, I didn't HATE the tie-ins, but I also wished this game was able to stand on its own two feet.

Overall, if you see it on sale, snag it. It won't be a waste of your time, and its a nice return to the world.

Something happened with my game where it glitched and I can't control the characters movement very well. I'm so close to the ending too so it's a damn shame. I just need to get the boat and go visit Olivia off the island.

The gameplay isn't very fun, but the story is intriguing. I feel like this is a game to watch a playthrough of rather than to experience it yourself.

The mystery gets stripped away after the first hour, afterwards it's just radio cyber magic to fend of the evil and never felt like there was a real threat or anything: whenever something went wrong, a random event popped in to save the day, with the most hilarious example being a hobbyist "researcher of the unexplainable" nobody had asked for. So neither the story nor the atmosphere really hooked me. It doesn't help for immersion that the characters are casually climbing and jumping cliffs in best Tomb Raider manner. I acknowledge that they added more depth and personal story to the characters, but I was probably too annoyed by the issues above to get involved to appreciate that.

This is one of the rare sequels which feels like it offers a smaller, somewhat shallower experience. The writing is still good, and the voice acting is excellent, but choices seem less impactful and there is no need to replay.

It's certianly still worthwhile; a fine continuation of the world, with positive moments of its own, it is just not on the level of its outstanding predecessor.

I 100% would recommend it. I enjoyed the story, and out of the first game and this one, this is my favorite because of the story.

The puzzles and gameplay were really enjoyable. The scares and the radio stuff were a lot of fun and made it even better than the first game. I loved the characters even more this time, with Riley being my favorite.

If you liked Oxenfree 1, you’ll enjoy this one even more.

I'm of two minds of this game... On one hand, it has exactly what I loved about the first game. Complicated characters, an incredibly haunting vibe, time loops, and consequential dialogue (this last one I would say is even made better in this game). However, I fear that it is a little too wrapped up in trying to conclude upon the first game rather than letting the sequel stand on its own. It's not to an overwhelming degree, which is why I'm still giving this game a recommendation to fans of the first, but I feel as thought it were a missed opportunity to- ironically- be so stuck in the past, that it doesn't let this future shine through in its own game.

Но после нескольких прохождений я могу сказать, что даже так - персонажи, диалоги и проблематика проработаны глубоко и очень хорошо. В игре присутствует множество просто блестящих моментов и ситуёвин, которых и близко не было в первой части. Игру технически улучшили. this is not the same. a lot of annoying characters you just want to get rid off. repetitive ad nauseum.
i still liked it, though. it's the oxenfree universe. it's still beautiful.

I want to start of by saying this review is being done by someone who has already played the first Oxenfree. The dialogue is not nearly as good in second playthrough(s) as the first Oxenfree was but the dialogue in this game was still good. I highly recommend going in blind for the first playthrough if you're an achievement hunter, and then pursuing achievements on other playthroughs. All in all, I really enjoyed the game and if you enjoy choices based games with multiple outcomes then you'll enjoy this.

My Complaints: If you've already played through the game once before there is no way to skip through any dialogue or anything to make the story/game move "faster" for achievement hunting like other games do.

The team banter wasn’t quite as frequent or lively as in the first game, and Jacob, the main sidekick, definitely got on my nerves at times his clingy, weak, and overly shy "lost puppy" vibe rubbed me the wrong way, it does lead the characters to not click as well or feeling flat compared to the original. That said, the walkie talkie radio conversations were excellent checking in with folks like the park ranger Shelley or lonely fisherman Nick felt super immersive and built these cool side stories, and the friendship that gradually developed with Jacob ended up being genuinely awesome by the end. The horror wasn’t as intense or dread filled this time around (less of that slow-burn creep from Oxenfree 1) it let the story breathe, feel more grounded in adult regrets and choices, and actually land harder emotionally, but was missing that creepy aura that I enjoyed so much from the former. Overall, a solid follow up generally favourable with sharp writing and atmosphere.

Getting 100% was boring... sorry, I'll explain below.

Missable achievements: Yes. Almost ALL the achievements are missable, with no chapter select.
Grinding Achievements: Yes, the worst kind, Grinding hours in what is basically un-skipable cutscenes.
DLC-Only achievements: No.
Time-gated achievements: No.
Speed-run achievements: No.
RNG-achievements: No.
Does difficulty affect achievements: No choice.
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: Yes. some users complain that the "befriend" series of achievements don't unlock despite doing exactly what the guides indicate. It happened to me for one of them.
First achievement unlock: "solving" the sequence at Jacob's house, 20 minutes into the game.
Point of no return: Yes, But despite the game warning you to finish up loose ends you are locked out of achievements way before that so it's kind'of useless.
Is there a good guide: I used the one on steam for 100% by eggo. Quite useful.

Notes:

* Despite being so simple a trained monkey could finish this one in under 2 hours, the game insists on not giving you even 5 seconds to figure out a situation, Jacob or the other characters will scream the solution at you. And that despite not being able to interact with the world except in 3 narrow ways, so how hard can it be?.
* Some achievements (especialy the "befriend" ones) are tracked in the background without any hint of progress. You can basically f*ck something up in the begining and not find out until hours later in the credits (since that's where they unlock). That's bad achievement design, hell bad game design.
* The game crashed a couple of times for me, but nothing too bad.
* The achievements that unlock by talking to the walkie characters repeatedly through the game are not only missable but random. In once case (88.1) I knew specifically what i was after and still couldn't get it until i spent hours waiting for it to just occur. Bad game design.
* Did i mention that if credits roll... you have to start the entire save file over again? Basic chapter select is a staple in any game with achievements and collectibles, Some quality of life would help here. Not having this in today's gaming market seems lazy.
* One achievement (The chanel 9 one) can be obtained in only a single instant, with no warning. If you don't know to look for it specifically you can play this game blind 100 times and never get it. That's just cheap.
* The game lies about being "open world"... it's not .. everything is gated off until you do stuff in the exact expected order.
* Did i mention that you can just be quiet for 99% of it and the charcters seem to know what the plot is and go along anyway. The game, sorry, (well, visual novel) can basically play itself.
* Add another "Best watch someone else play it than suffer it yourself" game to the pile.

* This is just a pet peve of mine but the writers thought that someone naming their bait shop "Eve has worms" was funny? ... Way to break whatever immersion was left for a stupid joke.

All of these aren't deal breakers for me, hell, the first game had almost the same problems, but that one didn't reveal the mistery in the first minutes, it kept you interested... This one is hurt by being a sequel.
But if these aspectes didn't get me at least I got to live out my escapist fantasies of being a middle-aged single mom.

So.. recommended for the story but not recommended if you care about gameplay or achievements, and in no way for full price, Sorry.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is a game I’m somewhat mixed on. It is quite similar to the first game, but just not as good and it drags on a bit too long. It has a similar atmosphere and similar themes, but it does not express them as well as the first game did. It sort of feels like they took the first game, cut out some stuff, and then made it longer. Some of these cuts make the game feel a bit less tedious to play, but they didn’t add anything new, so it just feels like there is less game, even though it is longer. I did get this in a bundle for super cheap, so I can’t complain about the monetary value, I just think you’re better off spending your time playing something else.

Un gioco molto profondo. Ogni dialogo, ogni scelta, ogni evento mette in luce la verità della vita. Ci sono imprevisti, giornate storte, disillusioni che devastano il cuore. Ma alla fine la vita è fatta così e non si è mai veramente soli se si spende una piccola parte di sé per vedere che l'altro è una persona. Diversa in tutto da noi, ma meritevole di scegliere, di seguire il proprio pazzo desiderio e di sentirsi vivo, visto e amato. I muri ci sono ma la vita è imprevedibile e può riservarci enormi sorprese.

this is the game you'd expect to see from a team that loves what it made in the past, but matured past it. oxenfree ii has a lot of the charm of its prequel, the little secrets, the AMAZING system of being able to thinker with something while walking from place to place. except, it has taken on a new perspective. i feel as if the conversations have grown with me, and now the characters have worries that me and many friends close to my age have dealt with and even had similar arguments over.

also, for what it's worth, the polish is very noticeable, oxenfree didn't seem like an unfinished game, but the amount of detail in this new game accentuates a lot the quirks and rough-ish edges on the first one. it's the same beautiful art, music and sound, but multiplied by 10

If the story of the original “Oxenfree” was about growing up, “Oxenfree II: Lost Signals” is about growing older. Instead of the growing pains of adolescence, the main characters now wrestle with the lingering weight of choices, missed opportunities, and the fear of insignificance. The game preserves the dark, sentimental tone of its predecessor, and it’s clear how much the creators cared about portraying their characters with empathy, even if the dialogue occasionally falls a bit flat. Like the first game, it features a gorgeous art style, though the character animations don’t always match the emotional weight of the story. The puzzles and mechanics remain simple to the point of being unremarkable, but that’s not what matters here. “Oxenfree II” is one of those adventures that doesn’t need a guide, only a willingness to listen and to immerse yourself in its quiet, haunting world.

i cant quite explain it, but oxenfree 2 felt shorter than the first one. My play times are 5.1 hours for 1 and 5.4 hours for 2 but like, it also fell shorter to me. Oxenfree 2 doesnt really do much to change the formula which is fine but also not super impressive or memorable like the first game. The vibe is different but not bad! The new characters are cool and it was nice to see some familiar faces but it didnt feel like many of my choices mattered.

Overall if you enjoyed Oxenfree 1 youll like Oxenfree 2, but 1 is the better game for sure

oxenfree 2 is basically the same as oxenfree 1, just slightly worse.

there isn't much gameplay, so the characters and story define the experience. unfortunately, the charming teenage back-and-forth from the first game are now mundane young adult quips but no real substance. the characters feel extremely reserved.

the plot is mainly a retread of the first, with a couple new and predictable twists.

honestly, get the first one, and think of this as dlc if you want more.

Cinque anni dopo gli avvenimenti del primo OXENFREE, si torna a combattere e cercare di aiutare tutti (ma se lo meritano?) sull'Isola di Camena, molto vicino all'isola Edwards. A questo giro però vestiamo i panni di Riley che dopo aver accettato un lavoro per l'università locale, si ritrova a vivere una notte da incubo, assieme al collega Jacob e ai molti altri abitanti dell'isola...
Da un sequel ci si aspetta un evoluzione a tutto tondo, senza riproporre tutto ciò che abbiamo visto nel primo con giusto qualche accorgimento, insomma un more of the same.
Lo spirito e le atmosfere del primo OXENFREE c'è sempre, ma stavolta la storia è per adulti e non più di adolescenti, mettendone quindi in campo speranze, rimpianti, incubi e tanti ma tanti momenti umani. Il duo Riley-Jacob più i contatti walkie-talkie gestibili a discrezione del giocatore, ci porta a comprendere aspetti più aspetti rispetto al primo gioco.
Cos'è questo Lost Signals che fa da sottotitolo? il ruolo di Riley? Ci sono nuove scoperte all'orizzonte, una mitologia più ampia e qualche rivelazione inattesa.
Un punto critico, è il fatto di giocarlo senza aver giocato al capostipite, quindi in maniera autonoma. La dipendenza del secondo dal primo è troppo forte; Oxenfree contiene la causa scatenante di tutta la vicenda che nel secondo viene illustrata molto sbrigativamente (con per altro si incrocia a più riprese). Va detto che questo è l'unico grosso difetto, che poi difetto non è davvero, riuscire a portare avanti la storia dove si è interrotta, senza esser molle o solo un more of the same ma aggiungendo invece spessore e maturità, svago, anche un po' di malinconia, oltre ad nuove rivelazione per aumentare la comprensione dell'universo narrativo.
P.s adoro che fin dal primo gioco, ci sono state traduzioni e adattamenti in ITA che non perdono un grammo dei discorsi originali.

Wow, I do not know where it start. The first Oxenfree is hands down one of the best indie games I have ever played, and this is the perfect sequel. For years I did not know they even made another game, but I am so glad I found it.

Please play the first one, fall in love with it, and then come to this amazing continuation and wrap up the story; you will thank me. This game had so many call backs to the first Oxenfree, but is still an amazing stand-alone game. I will be playing it over, and over, and over one more time...

Not worth your time. The first one was way better in all aspects.
In this one, the "gotcha" moments are kinda lost because you already expect that something big will happen at certain points of the story.
There are some elements of the narrative that make absolutely no sense, like the relation between the teens at the lodge. It seems way convoluted for what it should be.
Also, from the two protagonists, the guy won't SHUT UP at all and constantly yap about something and anything. It really breakes the atmosphere and the apologetic, humble, low-level/self-steem gets tiring very quickly.

Played the first game a few years back, so I don't remember everything I did in that playthrough, but I remember everyone in my playthrough not being trapped and escaping the island. So it was a bit surprising for me to see Alex and all of her friends were trapped in this game. Otherwise the game was a decent sequel to the original.
I did have a few issues with the game, mainly on the gameplay side. One issue I had was where I sometimes got stuck climbing a ledge / pathfinding to a spot I accidentally clicked. Another issue I had was going to an area mid conversation or a choice popping up right as I left an area, I had to restart the game or I lost that conversation entirely.

Krásná hra, nemám vlastně co vytknout. Pokud jste hráli první díl tak je tohle "must play" a pokud ne tak nejdřív hrajte první díl :) Tento díl má kompletně české titulky, ale nevím jak je to u prvního dílu. Jediný neduh je, že někdy je těžké najít místo kde se má stát aby se interagovalo s objekty. Mimo to je hra velmi příjemná příběhová cesta ručně kreslenou krajinou s občasnýmy jump scary :)

Nice sequel to the first game, with an easier to understand story, and beautiful art

While some details bugged me a bit (when you pick up a collectible letter, your character inmediately tells you what's in it before you can even read it, sometimes characters talk one on top of another, or conversations stop if you change location before they end even when it seems that they ended but didn't), it's a good game, with a good story, beautiful art and scary vibes, and youc and end it in a couple evenings which is always a plus

les - : where le scénario ? aucun attachement aux personnages et manque de profondeur, JACOB PARLE TROP et ne me laisse pas apprécier la musique et le silence.

En fait, c'est comme le 1er jeu mais beaucoup moins bien et même en me forçant à finir... je n'ai pas réussit.

I loved Oxenfree II. A lot of reviews say it’s just a copy paste of the first game, but honestly that’s why I enjoyed it so much. It has the same atmosphere, the same style of dialogue, and the same eerie feeling I loved in the first one. To me that felt comforting, not repetitive or changing something up that didn't need to be changed.

I also really liked when certain familiar characters showed up again. I won’t spoil who, but it felt like seeing old friends in the middle of all the weirdness, and it hit me harder than I expected.

What I appreciated most was how it tied up the ending of the first game. It gave me closure while still being creepy and mysterious, and it made both games feel like one complete story.

If you liked the first game, don’t listen to the complaints of it being copy paste or nothing new and instead just experience it for yourself! I went into this game worrying about the negative reviews and thinking I wouldn't like it but I truly did. That’s exactly what made me love it even more.. that it remained familiar while still giving me something new to experience with fun new characters. 🌸 I highly recommend.

Superbly written, acted, and animated; Oxenfree 2 does not disappoint the fans of the original game. Whether it be one character's inability to face uncertain and fearful future, or another's obsession to reclaim her stolen childhood; Oxenfree 2 creates dramatic appeal that will keep the player absorbed in the plot for hours. The inability to delete saved games from within the software creates a hitch that can easily be forgiven. Following the story of Edwards Island is an enjoyable thriller. Rated 7 out of 10.

Oxenfree 1 was a masterclass of Weird Horror and one of my favorite games of all time. This sequel, sadly, does not live up to the level of the first and smacks heavily of lacking a coherant design direction. While I enjoy Riley as a protagonist as a fellow jaded burned out adult, there's a large number of plot elements that appear to have been wielded together from various iterations of the game in a largely incoherant fashion. [spoiler] You have random machines you interaction with to stop time loops, bioshock infinite-esque moments where you travel through time portals for all of ten minutes to traverse obsticles, and a kinda-cult of three teenagers where you can turn two of the members against the leader in the span of one conversation.[/spoiler] None of these elements

Also the opening is a complete non-sequetor and doesn't fit at all with the rest of the game.

I sorta wonder if Night School Studio's acquisition by Netflix may have thrown a wrench into development as the timetable indicates that occured in the middle of production, but thats simply conjecture on my part.

Overall, stick with the original. Only get this one if there's a major sale.
