amazing, soso much love put into this game, full of story and so much detail. there are so many things to try with using items at different times, interacting with characters in certain ways, uncovering everyone's stories bit by bit, all of this done in careful, well thought-out way that makes you feel so rewarded for paying attention to it all. the main gameplay loop of ascending faith stays quite fresh as you're also going from secret to secret to new lore info to new secret ending pointing to even more secrets.
also this game has MULTIPLE games inside this game for crying out loud.

This game is genuinely an experience with nothing else like it. While its gameplay is simple, it goes much deeper than what is first seen. It is a phenomenal game, and I highly recommend it to anyone who can stomach body horror. Secrets seem to be hidden literally everywhere- Even 30 hours into the game, I still find new things. If I could replay any one game, free of memories, I would choose No Skin every time. This is without a doubt my favorite indie game ever made.
This is actually a puzzle game, it just very cleverly disguises itself as a roguelike

Loved it. IA lot of creepy stuff in what might seem a "mundane" setting, but that makes you realize how sometimes the true horrors are the ones we carry in our backstory, not the eldritch ones.
Different charcters, 4th wall breaking, and several hints that you need to connect to udnerstnd how to reach the goal. Totally recommended if you like roguelites.

I randomly found this game while scrolling Twitter and the title stuck with me enough to try it out. I had no clue what to expect going into it, and I still have no clue what to expect next after playing it for a while (Not sure why steam lists my playtime as 5.2 hours, I have played this game longer than that). This has to be one of the most interesting roguelikes I have ever played due to it's story and presentation. This game also made me feel like a crazy person when I tried to explain the basic plot set-up to other people [spoiler]Luckily the No-Skin man appeared from a random encounter and immediately asked "Where is my skin" as I was explaining the game's intro, making me not feel as crazy[/spoiler].
I don't want to divulge too much info about the game, as experiencing this game blindly is the best way to play it. From what I have encountered so far, this isn't a game that requires looking up what you need to do next, but be ready to experiment around with mechanics.
The game does have mature content that may make some people uncomfortable, and there is a good amount of gameplay that involves RNG which may frustrate some people (Examples: Each room lists the events that can occur in it, and the probability of each one occurring if you pick the room. The escape mechanic is chance based. Some perks lower accuracy. etc). However, the game is $7 base price, and if you are fine with the game content/design then I would highly recommend the game.

Overall a very very fun game about at 8 or 9/10.
A lot more fun for a lot longer than anticipated. I am almost done and enjoyed it quite a lot. I really like the gameplay loop, items and characters. I would say that the character balancing seems quite wonky, with the last character being incredibly broken, making the game rather trivial when playing her (maybe thats the point?). The other negative point is the lack of options for lunar shard usage (I got all upgrades and then max shards pretty quick) as well as Upgrades in general. However for the time that I played that didnt bother me at all and I doubt you are supposed to play this game much more than 20 hours.
I would also like to have quicker restarts (see enter the gungeon) on both the main game and the dream sections.

Big meh. I love metanarratives and dark theming, but the game loop is boring, the story is cool but has no hook, the characters feel edgy for the sake of being edgy, and rather than pulling any real emotional weight, it boils down to "ohhh wooooow, totally didn't see THAT coming!!"
Give it a shot, but it didn't grip me like it did so many others. There's a reason this has high ratings, I just couldn't find the reason. Plus the game is like, $7 USD
Finally, a game that recognizes my desire to just get this ♥♥♥♥ off me.
