Taking place inside what appears to be a monochrome, cardboard shadowbox, My Friend is a Raven is a VERY short point-and-click game. It took me less than half an hour to see all four endings, as each was intuitive and based around which items you took or puzzles you solved before meeting the eponymous raven.
I've played demos that lasted easily twice as long and left a quarter of the impression My Friend is a Raven did in half the time.

Ele tem um estilo de arte muito bonito. Ele passa um sentimento de terror, mesmo que não tenha nada para temer.
A história do jogo é bem legal até, por mais que curta. Ela me lembra o modo como um conto seria contado. Obviamente, é difícil não falar do poema "O Corvo" DO Edgar Allan Poe, mas não afirmo nada em relação a inspiração, mesmo que me lembre dele.

Once again the trademark "pen and crayon" art style I love from this dev, great atmospheric lighting FX, as well as creative writing. Roughly 6-ish minutes per run with 4 endings. :) Some good environmental items to click as you endeavour to your balcony for a chat with our feathery "friend." Only con I have is being unable to skip cinematics or auto-complete the "typewriter" text, but that's no biggie.

"My Friend is a Raven" is a very short tech demo/experimental amateur game, it's a narrative driven e-book with a few point and click elements. The game takes place in a small apartment where you talk to a raven, avoid the horrible bugs and expose a poorly written post apocalyptic narrative with four equally awful endings.
So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endless lines of badly written e-book text instead. My gaming rig is not a kindle.
The graphics aren't great, hand drawn ink stuff on low poly backdrops... done far better by more professionally developed games like Bendy and the Ink Machine, and I have to tell you, this is no Bendy. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises.
You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me.
This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now.
Now on to pricing and value for gamers.
Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game.
Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on.
In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it.
Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library?
Pass on this one. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
This game is short but really well done. The art style and sound is amazing and I love the things that are done in game that contribute to different endings

A very short indie game, with four "endings" based on doing different things in the incredibly small apartment that serves as the entire game. The visuals are truly unique, and are an excellent match for the dread-filled, sad world of the game. It's free, so there's absolutely no reason not to check this out.

Es un minijuego, donde cada partida dura como mucho 20 minutos, en el caso de que desees observar todo al detalle. El apartado gráfico y artístico es espectacular, hay pocas cosas así tristemente. Los diálogos no son lo mejor del mundo pero tampoco son malos. Algo reconfortante es que según que finales desbloquees, te vas a ir enterando más de la historia, ya que detrás de todas esas ruinas hay un causante de ello. Por último, la banda sonora es decente tirando a buena, no es algo que sobresalga como el apartado gráfico pero es mejor que la media.
En conclusión, recomiendo este juego para pasar el rato y hacer sus 4 finales distintos siempre y cuando se tenga el tiempo para poder apreciarlo y disfrutarlo como se debe, ya que es un juego lento!
My Friend is a Raven is an okay short point and click horror game, okay the story. Lutum is the last man alive after a devastating plague has swept the Earth clean, he has returned to his old apartment one last time in search for a sick Raven and to discover the cause behind this calamity.
Now then likes, the story was good and simple to understand when you get all the endings, it had some good little themes of regret and empathy. The graphics are really good it has this nice sketchy sort of hand-drawn look to it with its nice use of somber colors and designs. The level is good a simple apartment with some nice visuals, scenery and just little touches that make the apartment feel real.
The gameplay is okay, really simple just pick up a certain item and go to the raven nothing too complicated. The characters are okay, Lutum was good you definitely feel bad for him as he remembers his life and you feel his sadness of being the last man on earth. Also I like that the game is free.
Okay then is this game scary, no not really I mean unless you find being the last man on Earth scary. But other than that there's nothing really there that will terrify or creep you out which I don't mind.
Now then dislikes, the only problem with the game is that there really should have been achievements for the endings.
Alright now that is done, My Friend is a Raven is an okay short point and click horror game, with a good story, really good graphics and okay characters. So if you want to try out this game I say go for it since it's free.

holy moly, my friend is a raven kinda blew me out my chair, i was kinda expecting some little game about befriending a raven in a park or smth, but never was i expecting such a story.
first of all, the artstyle and the gamedesign is great.
the game itself looks like it's a sketch on its own and the eerie music in the background complements the atmosphere extremely well, at some points i had to take off my headset 'cause the sounds we're a bit too creepy for me.
for the mechanics of the game there's not much to say, it's a point and click adventure. i liked the fact that there were things to interact with that weren't just for the sake of using them ,but for creating a narrative.
hope the dev had as much fun creating the game as i enjoyed playing it!

This was a cool short game! I loved how atmospheric it was, leaving you with questions. I like the eerieness it presents. The graphics and the art style was cool, I haven't played many like it but I found it enjoyable! I like the multiple ending option, really keeps you engaged. I definitely recommend this game! It took me about 30 minutes to beat all 4 endings, much less for just one.

If this was full length it'd be in my top 5 horror games of all time, but I finished it in 20 minutes with an ending guide. The world building, art, sound design, and story are all incredible, I just wish it was longer. If I made a horror game I think it'd look something like this

Lo recomiendo simplemente porque es muy original y tiene 4 finales (sencillos e intuitivos, salvo el segundo, no haré spoilers).
Es un juego gratuito y sí, parece que es un concepto de algo más grande y sinceramente, este desarrollador, me cautivó desde Night in Riverager (un juego que recomiendo de igual manera). Esa perspectiva de papel y cartón en 2D, capturando a su vez una profundidad de 3D, es algo que pocos juegos tienen (que hay juegos así, sí, pero pocos).

La respuesta es un rotundo... Sí.
Es un juego corto, con cuatro finales, sacar uno no te tomará más de cinco minutos, son cuatro finales en total que varían dependiendo las acciones que haga o con qué objetos interactúes. Tiene un apartado gráfico increíble, pareciese que estuviera hecho a mano con una técnica artística llamada "Plumeado" o también conocida como "Rayado". El arte queda perfecto para lo que se cuenta en el juego, al igual que su música, que se vuelve algo tensa, generando así una buena atmosfera. En cuanto la historia, prefiero no decir mucho, ya que el juego es corto, así que es preferible que ustedes mismo se metan a esta pequeña experiencia gráfica y sobre todo, es gratuito no tienes excusa para probar esta Obra de Arte.

Revisitei esse daqui depois de quase 4 anos e continua sendo legal.
Mesmo que pequena, a história é cativante, carregando consigo 4 finais retratando diferentes aspectos da consciência humana. Adoro os visuais, ilustrando o cenário de um ambiente pós apocalíptico através de rasuras e rascunhos feitos à mão. Interpreto como se fosse a tentativa de capturar o mundo como era antes, saudável e vívido, o qual se esboça fragmentado em memórias de um individuo já morto em seu âmago.
E ainda é de graça, vale o investimento de 1 horinha do seu tempo.

I thought I would give this a go after playing "Cloud Climber" but the same developer and I have to say that I was not disappointed. It's a very short, rather dark and Gothic game about the end of humanity, facing up to past sins and what future may possibly arise.
The artwork that forms the game's graphics is extraordinary and fantastic, the game play and controls simple.
And probably the best part of all is the multiple endings!
I love trying to discover how to reach each of the endings in games like this.

Es erwartet Dich eine kleine Fabel von Verlust und Freundschaft, von Schuld und leichter Unterhaltung...
... nur für echte Frohnaturen ist das Spiel wohl doch nicht das Wahre.

Es ist durchaus traurig und manchmal ein wenig schaurig.
Und doch ists eines dieser kleinen Gratis-Games, die ich Dir immer so gern empfehle.
Der Dev hat unlängst mit seiner Spinnen-Eisenbahn Cho Cho Charles ja nen großen Erfolg verbucht.
Dies hier ist vorher entstanden und schlägt in eine gänzlich andere Kerbe.
Es ist unfassbar ruhig, bedächtig und beinahe meditativ.
Es wirkt nicht hektisch, überschlägt sich nie in Ereignissen, sondern steuert langsam und allmählich auf ein Ende hin, das wir gespannt erwarten.
Auch weil es mehr als eine Auflösung bereit hält.
Ganze vier komplett unterschiedliche Enden spielen wir frei und so sind die etwa zehn Minuten Spielzeit doch eher nur ein Viertel der tatsächlichen Spieldauer.
Denn wir wollen die Enden ja erfahren, ist ja klar.
Was der Rabe uns zu sagen hat und ob das nun alles gut, böse oder gar belanglos für uns ausgehen mag...

Also leg los, der düstere Stil gefällt durchaus gut und die Bedienung ist denkbar einfach.
Dafür wubbert der kaum wahrnehmbare Sound bedächtig nebenher und sobald wir durch sind, stürzen wir uns begierig auf den Nachfolger.

Excelente juego. Narración simple y reflexiva.
Lleva mi gpu al 100% y se cierra en 15 segundos siempre, yo no entiendo por que si puedo jugar rdr2 en ultra sin problemas, mi pc es muy potente, tengo tanto la bios como drivers actualizados, este unijo juego tan simple es el que me a dado estos problemas, no encuentro logica de por que me da este error xd
I kind of say the same thing about all these short games. You might as well play it because its so short, (not a bad thing), unless you really can't deal with gameplay that is pointing and clicking.
Je ne saurais vraiment décrire ce jeux. L'histoire prend vraiment au tripes et selon les fin on arrive a ressentir de la compassion pour l'un ou l'autre des personnages. Grand chef d'oeuvre a mon sens.
Es un juego visualmente muy bonito, tanto la estetica como la historia
Cosas que se podrian mejorar:
· Poder pasar los textos sin necesidad de que tengan que acabar, ya que para hacer los demás finales es un poco tedioso
· En el final en el que el cuervo te abandona hay un dialogo del cuervo que no está traducido
Para concluir tengo que decir que me encantaria poder ver contenido de este tipo, es muy original y tiene una estetica tetrica y muy atrayente, gracias por hacer este juego. <3
I really liked the game with it's atmosphere and artstyle. It was very well done and the story was also quiet neat. The only thing that bothered me very, very slightly was that the dialogue wasn't skippable or somehow to be made quicker (especially when you want play the game repeatedly to get all endings..) but I still enjoyed playing this awesome game!! :)

this game is awesome! i love the art style, and they way the story works aswell. this has gotta be one of my favorite indie games now!

Creepiness factor is nice. Says I found all 4 endings, however, there is a glitch that won't allow you to move clock hands now and it automatically gave me credit for the ending even though I couldn't get it. Game time is barely 5 minutes to get the endings.
Very interesting 40-minute gameplay. I liked the art a lot.
Estaba bueno el juego pero me hubiera gustado que hubiera logros de que finales sacaste porque asi no pierdo la cuenta. Si quieres algo corto para jugar aqui lo tienes, el lore esta solo tienes que sacar los finales diferentes para entender.
A fun and visually amazing game you can 100% in under 15 minutes. I like the manner of speaking in the game and how it's a really breezy playthrough! I'd love to see more games like this.
