[spoiler]гг видит сон с роботом, он называет чье-то имя и стреляет в нее. она просыпается среди ночи роется в компутере и выходит на балкон подумать. утром встает собирается и идет на работу. в метро с ней практически никто не хочет говорить. она приходит на место убийства (гг лейтенант полиции) и ей говорят ♥♥♥ аче ты тут сделаешь 3.14здуй домой. она приходит и и видит взломанную квартиру, звонит начальнику говорит меня взломали и наплевав на приказ дождаться подмоги заходит в хату. там робот хочет взять ее на мушку но она стреляет первая и подключается к нему. попадает в некое красивое люминальное пространство, робот ей говорит "нах ты меня убила?" она ему в ответ "ты робот как я могу тебя убить лол", ")(ерню сморозила, не понял тебя" и отключается. приехал начальник с подмогой и спрашивает с нее. она чет отмахнулась и на балкон опять ушла. потом все то же по новой только вместо всех нпс чел с невидимым лицом. она опять убивает робота происходит тот же диалог. конец.[/spoiler]
не понял о чем это было. о важности жизни роботов? о рутине в киберпанке? о незначительности жизни внутри подобной системы? о природе убийства? возможно обо всем этом сразу. по факту больше тянет на визуальную новеллу где можно потыкать на объекты и выслушать мысли ггшки но никакой ценности они не имеют, просто есть. в целом как т ни о чем как-будто, либо я слишком аутенок для таких глубоких работ и смыслов хз) жаль потраченные время и деньги

Short but fun story. Not much to add, but definitely worth the one dollar I paid for it.

Weird game, if you can even call it that. More of a short story, like 20 minutes or less short. No game play to speak of besides clicking where the game tells you to. It's got a great cyberpunk atmosphere and really pleasing pixel graphics. This is totally the type of vibe I could see myself getting immersed in if it was actually fleshed out as a point and click adventure or something more substantial. As it stands it's just an extremely short set piece that looks great but ends before it even gets started. I respect it for what it is, if anything I'm just disappointed because I'm left wanting more

When developer says Murder is a "short game" he really means it as you're looking at maybe 15-20 minutes if you really take your time. Then again, that's also offset with a $1 asking price so you decide if it's worth it or not.
What we actually have on-hand is a very simple P&C adventure game featuring Lieutenant Motomeru Minori who seems to be having a recurring dream where she gets killed by a robot. It's the 11th instance of that dream repeating itself, to be exact. At the same time Tokyo Metropolitan Police is chasing after a killer that has seemingly left them confused with not a clue in sight. I've basically told you all there is to Murder narratively beyond spoiling the story itself, but you can put two and two together. Mood and atmosphere empowered by inspired pixel art are heavily prominent doing almost all of the heavy lifting alongside full voice acting. Credits reveal it was three people voicing everyone, but they could've fooled me.
I said it's a P&C adventure game, but sheer shortness of the game ensures there are no puzzles, inventory management or dialog trees to navigate through. You merely interact with optional hotspots and few critical ones that advance the story. Amusing tidbit was developer feeling the need to include a tutorial explaining this to the player. There's nothing to really praise or slight Murder for here since it merely exists mechanically.
Murder is a cyberpunk point and click game were you are in the cyberpunk future as you face many challenges.

This is an mildly interactive story with gorgeous pixel art. The story itself is a little odd and disjointed. The story suddenly ended right where it felt like the intro should have been ending. I managed to buy this for 40 cents, so I'm not upset.
Although it's few times larger then “Stranded”. It somehow feels incomplete and complete at the same time. The story does make itself clear what it's about. Or should I say would become about. So, I'd say artistically really good. Voice acting is fine. An interesting experience.

This game is considerably better than Moorhead's first game, but I have mixed feelings 'bout it.
First off the game was way longer than the first one he made (which took me about 8 minutes), a proper home-screen was finally implemented (with a proper options menu too), however I do have a few complaints.
First things first, the pixel art felt way too blurry most of the time (it was fine during the elevator sequence) and can be a bit distracting, voice acting feels a bit samey (probably cuz the game has a total amount of 3 voice actor for the 6 characters the game has), there are a few grammar errors here and there (extremely noticeable whenever it occurred), and to finish this off the game is just way too dang short! I knew the fact that I was here for a short story, but I definitely expected to have at least 40 minutes of fun instead of the 20 I got.
Overall, I do recommend the game, just don't expect too much from it, since this game IS more of a Visual Novel rather than a point and click adventure game.

When the description says "short story", it really is short, his is the shortest game I've ever played. It's also just a story, and barely even a game. I love point-and-click adventure games, but this is more like a visual novel, just without any conversation options. Still, if you can get it for cheap enough (I got it for basically free, using a coupon), I do recommend the game.
I also played the developer's first (and only other) game, "Stranded", and that one I do not recommend, despite getting it for free. It's even less of a game, less of a story, and painfully slow. Compared to Stranded, Murder is a *massive* improvement. The walking is still painfully slow, but there's much less of it. Also, the voice acting (compared to no dialogue in Stranded) and especially the music adds to the story. Stranded was a disappointment even though I got it for free, but I would pay a buck for Murder, even if it is only about 20 minutes long. Sometimes all you want is something fast. Murder makes me hope that the developer makes more games.

“[b]Murder[/b]” - второй indie-проект соло разработчика Питера Мурхеда, что планировался выпускаться в виде эпизодических частей. Но из-за отсутствия геймплея, превращающее происходящее на экране игрока в визуальную новеллу без выборов; а также настойчивым желанием разработчика выпускать эпизоды отдельно и платно; в купе с сверхкороткой продолжительностью - игра быстро получила массу негативных отзывов. В связи с чем разработка продолжений- так и не состоялась
Геймплей игры строится на механики классических игр в жанре “[b]point’n’click[/b]” - где игроку предстоит щелкать на активные зоны и перемещаться по сюжету. У Вас отсутствуют привычный для данного жанра “инвентарь”, а Ваш персонаж может только озвучивать текст при взаимодействии с некоторыми объектами. Благодаря этому - игра превращается в “визуальную новеллу”, в которой Вам необходимо прокликать несколько сцен и буквально - оказаться в главном меню, удивляясь скудности сюжета произошедшего только что на Ваших глазах.
В игре полностью отсутствует какой -либо выбор, ограничивая игрока несколькими дополнительными точками - помимо сюжетных зон; где игрок может получить дополнительные реплики героини. Стоит отметить, что все реплики имеют озвучание, что выделяет данную игру на фоне подобных “визуальных” проектов.
Также стоит отметить, что игра выполнена на игровом движке Ren-py, что знаменит использованием в текстовых играх, а также в эротических визуальных новеллах. Данный игровой движок позволяет разработчикам превращать набор картинок в “слайд шоу”, а затем выдавать данное творение за “игры”, зачастую выставляя подобные проекты за деньги. В данном же случае, Питер смог максимально использовать возможности игрового движка, создав не только “подвижные” фоны, но и добавив анимации к многим объектам и самим персонажам.
Тем не менее, перед Вами не полноценная игра - а демо-версия отмененного проекта, что до сих пор продается в магазине [b]Steam[/b] по цене в 1 евро (цены в разных регионах могут отличаться из-за региональных цен).
Я не рекомендую “[b]Murder[/b]” к покупке из-за отсутствия сюжета и элементарного геймплея. I know it's less than 50cts in the Stranded bundle, but unless you just want to inflate the number of games you finished this year, it's not really worth it. It's short, it's bland, it goes nowhere.

Murder is a simple Ren'Py construction kit template job, not a real game, the developer just filled out a template for the Ren'Py "adventure" point and click engine and called it a game. They did supply their own assets from what I can tell, but they couldn't do that to any professional level and just used lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics when filling out the template.
This is a particularly lazy effort, Ren'Py is a framework/construction kit for doing e-books and not games, but it does have this point-and-click engine. The engine sucks, it's very limited, there's no puzzles or complex problems in this asset/template flip. You just click on a few hotspots, get some visual novel text, click a bit more, then it's over. This pixel crapware construction kit asset flip lasts less than 30 minutes, and that's the nicest thing I can say about it, it's not very long and goes away quickly, so you can spend more time playing real games by genuine developers and not "indies" who spend half a day clicking on stuff in their game construction kit, which is what was done hre.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the video game construction kit/toolset, Ren'Py. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur/unskilled developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine.
The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2023 (and this was released not so far back in 2015), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 8 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Murder is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
This isn't a game, it's a writing prompt. It's really annoying because it has the promise of an interesting and engaging story akin to I, Robot but ends just as it starts to get interesting. They have a fake out ending which left me confused and annoyed even more so when the game actually finished shortly after continuing again. The "tutorial" at the beginning makes me feel like this project was meant to be something a lot bigger but was abandoned and released as is, there is very little to interact with and is more like a visual novel than interactive game. The tutorial makes it clear that there are optional prompts and those that progress the story and once you progress you cannot go back to the optional ones but you won't actually miss anything of note by just clicking the story options.
Graphics and interface are great but the voice acting is meh, like they only have two people trying to put on different voices to cover the amount of characters in the short experience. Very disappointed.
Perfectly handled by the Steam Deck.
In a bid to continue nibbling at my backlog with shorter titles, I went for Murder - a game I purchased in a bundle with previously reviewed Stranded (see below this review). This thing was even shorter!
Contrary to majority on Steam I quite enjoyed Peter's previous game. It was a short experience, and the game itself was a light, little riddle, just waiting to be solved with good visuals and great sound.
Murder was a slightly different experience for me. Yes, its aesthetic direction is impressive, so is the moody, Blade Runner'y atmosphere. But the rest is very underwhelming. There's no beginning and there's no end to the story, so it is very unsatisfactory in this aspect (as opposed to how Stranded plays out). It almost feels like watching a fifth episode of a third season in a series without prior knowledge of what happened. Oh... and not a whole episode, no, no. Only a quarter of it.
Look - at its current price £0.89 I can't recommend it, the game is constantly on sale at £0.39 however and this price is more suited for the experience that you will be getting. It takes about 30 min to play through to completion, so essentially a penny per minute. That price is bearable.
At launch it was a robbery, I can't believe that they were trying to sell it for 3 bucks. If you go to itch.io there's plethora of great point and click adventure games, that are longer, much better executed in terms of plot development and most of them either free or available for next to nothing.
Here it almost feels like using the services of an escort - it's gorgeous, you're paying premium and you finish quick.

Yes, I played a lot from torrent before, because it was cheaper, but since I work, I am able to support creators. If you see potential in a game, never be rest to pay for it, if it just coffee money for you.
We have to save the real game developers, who want to show something uniqe. If you only care about your fun, you are not a gamer or at least, not an adult.

for less than a dollar you can see a half-hour demonstration of how to use your mouse...and create some neat ambience...and get all philly soft tickle about whether machines are alive or not... Oh it's real.
This is a beginning of a story not an actual story.

On the Store page [i]Murder[/i] describes itself as a 20-30 minute short story, and is priced accordingly. So let's judge it accordingly.
Certainly it's more style than substance, as the pixel art, from the animations to the interface, meld with the soundtrack—though not so much the voice acting, which is more miss than hit—to produce a striking glimpse of a neo-Tokyo—which itself is the main draw to playing this game—; whereas the narrative, a sort of postmodern recursive meditation on what the titular concept means in a cyberpunk world, is so concise as to be more short short, or even flash fiction, than short story—in fact, the nature of the writing (when not cringey hardboiled or simple flavor text) suggests more the form of a koan [spoiler](and there is a couplet in there that I found profound: "Sorry, but the player doesn't get a say in the rules. / No matter what the apparent outcome, the creator always wins.")[/spoiler]. And while I'm one of many who enjoy such a vision of cyberpunk, it's essentially the same tropes we've been traipsing over recursively ourselves since the late-'80s; that lack of originality stifles any depth this story could have generated beyond its enigmatic gestalt.
Really, this product feels more like an exercise by the creator, or a demonstration piece, a passion project to exhibit in his portfolio to suggest greater works. As a keen reader and writer of short stories, and an adult who finds less and less time for videogames (and is less and less patient with videogame designers who abuse players' finite resource of time for meaningless mechanics) despite still being interested in them, I'm all for the idea of videogames-as-short stories. This particular example is lacking.
Murder es una aventura gráfica corta, muy corta, pero llena del más hermoso pixel art que haya visto en mucho tiempo. La ambientación cyberpunk sirve para contar una historia policial que, sin entrar en spoilers, tomará un giro existencial más que interesante. Ciertamente me dejó con ganas de más.

I don't usually write review but this game kinda angers me with what it presents, I got it for basically nothing bundled with another title for less then 30 cents but even then its content feels lackluster. Its beyond short, not only lacking anything to bide your time but also finding time to pad itself out. Your walk speed is atrociously slow, all the non essential dialogue makes npcs for nes rpgs seem complex with genuine thought behind them.
And overall that is this games biggest flaw lack of anything behind it. It uses the same generic Japanese orientalist cyberpunk fantasy, but it fails to give anything of its own to the world your in, and fails to even make use of what it takes for really anything.
the overall themes of the work is "humanities has failed to see the advancement of sentience around it" and also "Humanity fails to uphold its own moral code", things that kinda sound interesting but those two sentences are all you get. Quite litterally told to you in the same cutscene. That you have to watch twice as it does a yoko taro esche rerun after about 8 minutes in. But where that is a new unique perspective and helps for the player to truly understand the work as a whole cause of the games runtime. This feel as nothing more as padding and to pretend to the player it has said anything. As if you need anymore time to understand the words it vomited out.
While its production value is nice it uses its pretty graphics for its own detriment. It regularly seems like it is trying to make a camera scene to remember, slowing down the player. Leaving them to only thing about how little there really is.
Similarly while it is nice the game has voice acting, and i wouldnt say its particularly, instead i would say the writing is bad for the voice acting. Everyone talks like a person, while the dialogue is like a book. It leaves scenes feeling a bit cringe similar to your average anime dub. Cause no one is allowed to act like how these characters are (not human).
I understand this must of took a lot of effort to produce, and if this was some free demo left up on itch.io i would probably think its great. But it made a leap pretending it could ever be a genuine product, and when it has nothing of substance either for fun or for thought all that can be said is that its a bad product.

Not really a game, more of an art project you need to occasionally click to move the story forward. Having said that, it's a pretty cool one. Unmistakable inspired by Ghost in the Shell, which I love. The story is quick and effective, and the pixel art is phenomenal. Done in 20-30 minutes, but worth it nonetheless.
It's a short experience, completed in about an hours.
Compared to Stranded, I liked this much more.
For $1 is was well worth the short artistic experience and philosophical pondering.
it's not a game
it's a twenty minute cyberpunk experience wonderfully hand-drawn .
it's build in the python based renpy-engine which is commonly used for text adventures. But it's highly modified.
I tried the engine myself and I am impressed what peter squeezed out of it.
and it oozes with charm.
it's one of those little indies that just make you really hungry and wished that it would expand upon.
Someone needs to license the assets and build a bit more with it.
I can understand the angry voices saying it's not a real game 'bla bla' but I say you browse Indies anyway.
Get used to some artsy stuff and don't complain or play high-score-based asset-swaps

I wanted to like this game. I did. I'm sorry to the author. But I'm puzzled why you would even bother uploading this, much less attempting to charge anyone money for it. It's maybe 5 minutes long. I even played through it again and there was a few minutes of extra content to attempt to appease my hunger for gameplay, but nothing significant at all changed.
All 180 seconds of gameplay are aight but like, this game is so tiny, and feels so incomplete, that I'm wondering why you didn't bother just making it in HTML5. Why use a game engine at all?
Your pixel art is good. But the plot itself has no depth. And that's a sorry state of affairs for a game looking to call itself Cyberpunk. I'm confused why you bothered naming the main character, first and last name, considering we don't get to know her for very long, to get a good read on her personality etc.
The voice acting was also kind of... not good. It's got a decent amount of voice acted parts, but, and I apologise to the VA's for this, but the way every part was voice acted as opposed to the way it was written was exaggerated and almost over-acted and differed from the way I read the whole thing in my head. The voice acting was not at a premium level. I hope you didn't pay anyone to voice these parts. Because I'd ask for a refund if you did. If, alternatively, it was just you and some mates on a discord channel banging it out, I can respect that and that's cool, I just don't know.
Should've posted this on Newgrounds or Itch.io. But it's a paid product on steam. So I gotta give this the honest review. My apology's, again, but I can't recommend this game to anyone else. It might be a nice portfolio stuffer for it's creator, but as a consumer, I can say there's nothing to sink your teeth into around here.

Wanted to like this, but it's toooooooo short, and there are no meaningful choices at all. It's fine for a game to be more of an "experience" but this was too light on content.
I'm willing to be proven wrong and perhaps I'm dumb and there's more content beyond the 20 minutes I put in. I kept thinking that perhaps something was going on with the computer, and the highlighted "D"s in the credits. But I couldn't really see any way to progress...

"Murder" ist eine Kurzgeschichte im Stile eines Point-and-Click-Adventures.
Eine cyberpunk-artigen Zukunft, in der Maschinen und Roboter eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Wir sind Lieutenant Motomeru Minori, wir sind Teil der Polizei Tokios und sind gerade mit einem mysteriösen Mordfall beschäftigt. Die Lösung dieses Falles führt uns zu grundlegenden moralischen Fragestellungen.
Eins muß man vorausschicken: "Murder" ist verdammt kurz. In etwa zwanzig Minuten hat man die Kurzgeschichte erlebt. Dafür kostet das Programm allerdings auch sehr wenig und bietet für den geringen Obolus durchaus einen passablen Inhalt.
Denn die Geschichte ist durchaus gelungen und die wenigen Schauplätze sind stimmungsvoll. Viel Gameplay sollte man allerdings nicht erwarten. Wir klicken uns durch die Geschichte, ohne daß wir eigene Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten hätten. Insofern ist "Murder" wirklich eine Short-Story, die nur optisch und ästhetisch an ein Adventure erinnert.
Die gelungene Grafik lehnt sich an eine 8-Bit-Retro Grafik an, die sie allerdings mehr zitiert als wirklich nutzt, denn bei näherer Betrachtung gibt es einige weitaus hochauflösendere Objekte. Die Illustration funktioniert, ist sie doch vor allem durch Farbgebung und Lichteffekte stimmungsvoll dystopisch-großstädtisch. Überhaupt bemerkt man ständig, daß der Programmierer sein Handwerk versteht, denn auch die Soundkulisse ist cool und gekonnt.
Auch die Geschichte ist zumindest interessant, wenn sie auch ein wenig zu sehr steckenbleibt und auch etwas zu wenig überrascht. Allerdings wirkt sie wie eine solide Grundlage für einen Roman. Eine Skizze oder Idee, aus der man eine ganze Welt erschaffen könnte.

Amazing very short cyberpunk adventure! The pixel art graphics are delicious, the sound, music and voice acting are superb and create a really good atmosphere and a lot of immersion in this world. Really good plot with even great twists. If you love sci-fi and adventures, you must try it!
TL;DR - pros - music, Art... Cons - Story, Gameplay, Dialogue, everything else.
If you like Point and click in old school pixel art, check "The Darkside Detective" much more coherent experience and way more enjoyment, not quite as good art detail.
Short is the right word, Honestly I thought I was missing something so I played through a few times, clicking on a number of things.
When clicking on things there are a few different lines and the general feeling of the game made me think that there was more to this but there was not. I racked up a total of around an hour playtime and repeated 5 times so to be honest I think that even 15mins is a stretch (this is not including the tutorial, which like this game is a waste of time).
Its like eating a chocolate bar, looks great, tastes even better but its done so fast that it makes you feel like a jerk for letting it suck you in. In the description it says story but it says prologue at the start, seems that this was supposed to be the very start of something much bigger but something happened to cut this short? I mean literally the following happens:
(I would say spoilers but the story is so incomplete that I don't think there is anything to spoil).
-wake up read email and some other stuff on PC about recurring dream
-smoke on the balcony
-wake up again
-click on a few things a few times to get more dialogue that does not shed any light on the dream
-meet a robot with some form of backstory (got me excited for the way this would fold into the plot.... or not, who knows)
-take an elevator
-talk to a few people in a train station about other regular life
-take the train
-get to the crime scene and talk to fellow cops, who do not know anything about the murder. (thought I was missing some investigation here, but it seems not)
-speak to the boss, he tells you to go home.
-your apartment door is broken, talk to the robot in the hall again, it is glitching
-auto walk into the the apartment, and auto- shoot the robot.
-seems that the robot.. was the murderer.... gasp, shock... bore!!! -.-
-boss does the, "ill take your badge line"
-credits role..... but wait, they stop a few lines in.. oooooooo
-cuts to going down the elevator.
-random glitchy face dude gives monologue of, "there is a player behind the player in the game" and the character seems confused about this. (would be great if it went anywhere)
-credits role once you play though the same game a second time, seemingly for real this time.
As stated I did this 5 times. So either there is nothing there or it is poor design.
It a real shame, I am sure an unspeakable amount of work went into this and there was no hook, no twist, no story beats... just a few tropes, some very detailed pixel art and some very atmospheric music.
not worth my time sadly but if you value your time less than I do then go ahead.

there's just zero substance, even for me.
There's a little bit of good sound design & the pixel art is actually kinda nice.
Beyond the kinda amateurish, but purpose-fit voice-acting the production value is actually okay.
But that's [i]really[/i] it.
The writing is just... not enough to recommend it, which is sad because that's what the game was obviously counting on.
On the surface the whole story & setting is a bundle of cyberpunk tropes that have been explored [i]a lot[/i] by now.
Neuromancer, SystemShock, the Matrix, IRobot, Tacoma, Detroit. Become Human,... can you figure out the parts yet?
The tagline about morality & sentience getting commidified is never really realized beyond the most obvious android-AI plotpoint - possibly because there were more episodes planned. Obviously that ain't happening at this point.
You can't loose or do anything wrong.
It has about ~10 optional dialoge voicelines, but no branches or choices.
The first 5 screenshots on the game's store page are practically three quarters of the game's locations in total.
It's all over in under 15 minutes.
This is the kind of game that I'm used to seeing as a free amateur autheur kinda deal, a free demo / concept pitch on itch.io.

I picked up 'Murder' at 50% off so it cost under $1 - for that I got a 20-25 minute piece of 'Ghost in the Shell'/'Bladerunner' fanfic with the serial numbers filed off.
If you're into pixel art this looks great and the music and voice acting get the job done well enough. There's no escaping the brevity though or the fact that the 'interactivity' is limited to hunting for (usually obvious) interactivity spots which result in bonus exposition followed by clicking on a red arrow to advance the plot.
Cautious thumbs-up from me, based on the price point and the fact that sometimes I think it's nice to relax and be told a story through a 'game' which is completely undemanding - I would certainly have appreciated at least a little more content though, or maybe some dialogue choices?
A nice little story, which envelops you during the short time you spend with it. I played through twice, once with all optional events, and a second time with no optional events. Completed in less than 45 minutes. It was still worth the ride for the price. It is a shame that there wasn't able to be more produced after the fact, but I guess sometimes a cool game just doesn't make the money it deserves.
If you have a buck laying around and nothing to do for an hour, it is worth the time, especially if you like sci-fi futuristic settings.
Ein Point&Click Adventure ohne Rätsel, also mehr ein untypisches Visual-Novel. Dauer des wenig unterhaltsamen Abenteuers ca. 0,25h. Optisch gut, Soundtrack OK und Sprachausgabe unprofessionell. Das macht zusammen einen guten Eindruck, lässt aber einem nach Ende des Spiels mit einem unbefriedigenden Gefühl zurück. Für den Preis von 0,99€ darf man mehr erwarten. Es gibt einige Games die mehr bieten und zudem noch kostenfrei sind.

A very quick, minimalist murder mystery. Was a pleasure to play, whole playthrough (as far as I could tell) took about 30 minutes. Beautiful artwork and sprites in it.
Know what you're getting into with this.
This is basically an interactive visual short story. You don't have agency. You follow the path.
That being said, the story is decent: thought-provoking albeit not entirely satisfying. The visuals are very nice.
It's worth the Humble Bundle price.
Это одновременно шаг вперёд и два шага назад относительно Stranded. Всё такая же приятная пиксельная графика. Но продолжительность в два раза меньше. Не около получаса, а минут 10-15 и то, если посмотреть обучение (а-ха-ха, обучение в симуляторе ходьбы, косящем под полноценную адвенчуру) и осматривать все места интереса. Тут как бы есть сюжет и персонажи даже разговаривают. Но сказать, что я что-то понял будет ошибкой. Видимо, автор хотел развить идею о том, что отключение робота может восприниматься сродни убийству живого существа, но не дожал ни повествование, ни реализацию. Платить за это точно не стоит.
Free games on Steam have much more gameplay mechanics and length than this.
As much as I enjoyed this game, it's VERY PRETTY, and the main menu's got a banger theme, it's just not worth your money. The unfortunate truth of the matter is, per comments from the developer, that Murder was supposed to be the first of a series of bite-sized games with an admittedly interesting overarching plot. However, this project was killed by Steam's (very consumer friendly) no-questions-asked returns for games played under 2 hours.
If circumstances were different and it was possible to play through the story that the developer intended, I WOULD recommend this game, but that just isn't the case, as much as I respect the vision and scope of what the project could have been.

It's a shame that I can't recommend this game, because it's beautiful and clearly had a lot of love put into it. But the story feels like an introduction, with no resolution.

I've had this game in my Library for a while and finally played it today. The pixel art is really solid, the voice acting is well done, and my only complaint is that it is too short. I thought was gearing up for something else, but just ends abruptly!
When they say this is a short game, they mean it. I completed the full game in less than 20 minutes. However the love and effort that has went into crafting this has not gone unnoticed. Everything from the nostalgic 90s point and click style graphics to the soundtrack really paints a scene not to dissimilar to Blade runner and other neo-noir classics.
I also loved the voice acting. For a small production team they have really made the story feel alive, not once was I drawn out of it due to cheesy line deliveries. The story it's self also had my attention the whole time, the only thing I wish is that there was more of it. The game feels like a prologue to something bigger.
Murder es un juego cyberpunk pixel en donde su jugabilidad se basa en usar el raton para clickear sobre determinados lugares o personas para continuar con su historia , es decir que no tenemos la libertad de movernos sobre el mapa.
A pesar de eso murder es un juego con un pixel art muy bello y una historia aun que muy corta (literal el juego son 25-30 minutos incluyendo prologo y tutorial) bastante decente y que se sabe defender.
Siento que el juego si le hubiesen dedicado mas tiempo y hubiesen alargado la historia minimo a 1 hora y media hubiese sido un muy buen juego y tal vez mucho mas reconocido.
Recomiendo el juego si quieres jugar un juego barato con un pixel art buenisimo y con un estilo cyberpunk ademas de una banda y historia decente y que funcione en cualquier pc.

재밌다. 플레이타임 30분짜리 게임이고 포인트 앤 클릭 형식이다. 게임의 재미보단 분위기랑 짧막한 스토리 보고 하는 겜인것 같다. 사이버펑크 분위기를 잘 살려서 마음에 든다.
A bit short innit?
The game is definitely worth your time and money, of which it asks very little. It is thought provoking, and I like it a lot despite there hardly being anything you'd call gameplay.
I'd love for this to be the first episode of a series - I'd pay a fair bit of money if this was a full game - but I'm afraid that this beginning is also the end.
Buy if you'd like to spend an evening dreaming away in a dystopian detective adventure, and go to bed very early.

Murder is a very short short story based in a cyberpunk future. The core gameplay is point and click oriented, with the voiced (and written) dialogue being the main focus.
There are optional clickable areas or items (Hotspots) for a little extra information or dialogue while playing or you can go straight for the compulsory (Critical) Hotspots to progress the story. I wanted to experience everything so I clicked everything I could before progressing.
Murder took me 20 minutes to finish and that’s including the short prologue/tutorial that basically consists of what I just mentioned about Hotspots. I really liked the graphics, the sounds were fitting, and I quite liked the voice acting too. I really liked the idea behind the story too, but, unfortunately, it was lacking. Just as it started to feel like it was going somewhere, the game ended.
I feel like Murder could have been something worthwhile, but I can’t recommend the game/short story as it is simply because I feel like it was a waste of 20 minutes. Just as the story picked up and I started to get interested, it finished. It’s a shame because the rest of the game seemed pretty strong, but that becomes pretty irrelevant when the main aspect is missing. It’s a short story that seems to be missing it’s story. The price tag is pretty good at least, and even better if you get it on sale like I did.

Great, short, to the point. The Cyberpunk aesthetic really works. I keep returning to it...
Интересная короткая игра с кучей нереализованного контента, если покопаться в файлах, можно найти музыку и картинку, которых в игре не было. Крутое сопровождение в меню, не оставило равнодушным, а трек из секрета сильно лютый.. Игра очень сырая, но за свои 15 рублей в наборе имеет место быть хотя бы за звуковое сопровождение. Ни разу не пожалел о покупке.
