In many ways Murasaki is the duo expanding upon their ideas, as they've always done, but this time they've taken it to a whole new heights, Irisu Syndrome's DNA can be felt all over this game, the amazing composer Takeaki Watanabe returns from Irisu Syndrome and once again it's a huge highlight, he gets to spread his wings, making far more chaotic and energetic music and it's a delight to listen to.
But the game itself is an incredible take on bullet hell genre, taking the puzzle mechanics of Irisu Syndrome and bringing them over to this format and it works incredibly well.

Murasaki has one of the more creative core gameplay loops of any shmup on steam. The main idea here is to shoot the shapes and get them to collide with the same coloured shapes. This will result in a chain reaction occuring that will wipe out any enemies in the area, as well as cancelling out their bullets. The more shapes collide, the bigger the reaction. The art style and soundtrack are both amazing here and help to set an unforgettable atmosphere. My only real gripe is that some levels contain cheap beginners traps (the start of the second level is definitely the biggest offender). Overall, I highly recommend this game to shmup fans.

На экране появляются шайбочки, преимущественно синего и красного цвета. Стрельба по шайбе толкает её и эта шайба взрывается. Но если шайба столкнётся с другой того же цвета, то взрыв будет больше. А если столкнётся много таких шайб, то взрыв станет огромным. И вот от размера взрыва зависит, сколько пуль на экране очистится, что сделает ситуацию безопаснее, даст много очков, а в случае с боссом нанесёт массивный урон.
Всего вы можете выстрелить одну пулю за раз. Не спешите стрелять. Подождите, пока пуль на экране станет много, не бойтесь, пули медленные. Подождите, пока накопятся шайбы. И тогда стреляйте по ней. Игра по меркам жанра относительно расслабляющая благодаря весьма длинному лайфбару (ну кроме постгеймового шестого уровня и страшного начала второго уровня, но бомба там выручит), а в случае провала достаточно перепроходить уровень, а не всю игру.
Если концовка покажется недосказанной, не стесняйтесь заглядывать в гайды.

Murasaki may look intimidating and weird on the first glance, but it's extremely worth giving it a try.
It's insane how solid the game is as a bullet hell while having a highly experimental premise. Basic mechanics are very easy to get used to, but have a lot of depth at the same time. Presentation could not be to everyone's taste, but it grew on me pretty quickly, soundtrack is simply astonishing.
Honestly it's pretty hard for me to properly put into words how amazing this game is, please give it a chance and you may discover one of the most interesting games ever.

Inventive mechanics & delightful soundtrack. Balanced so that it only takes modest skill to reach a proper ending, but with plenty of challenges to pursue. My main complaint is the somewhat abrasive sound effects, but I got used to them.
Extremely fun puzzle shmup. Despite only being 6 stages long, there is a lot of replayability with the various achievements and score incentives you can shoot for. The soundtrack is also really good.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Looks like a typical bullet hell, but the introduction of puzzle game elements creates something radically different. Instead of a typical manic shooter, this is a game of patience and precision where you're constantly looking for the exact right moment to trigger an explosion. Being able to clear the entire screen feels super satisfying.
Beyond the basic gameplay, there's an excellent story, gradually revealed through cryptic fragments as you unlock achievements. There's a guide, but I honestly recommend going in as blind as possible - this is a game where it's more fun to figure out how everything works on your own. The hand-drawn character portraits and exceptional soundtrack both complement the story and gameplay perfectly, imbuing it with an atmosphere of beauty and tragedy.
You don't need to fear the typical demanding standards of bullet hell games here, you get a life bar and relatively drequent health pickups, so anyone should be able to clear the story without too much difficulty. The postgame extra stages and modes are more experts-only in terms of difficulty, but you can get an extremely satisfying experience just from beating the main game.

Really fun STG that puts a refreshing spin on danmaku gameplay. The devs are obviously massive Touhou fans and like minded folks will likely appreciate it. The crux of the game is bouncing colored blocks into each other to set off chain explosions to destroy enemy bullets, with the catch being that you can only shoot one bullet at a time. Sounds simple but in practice it can be a fiendishly tricky task, like trying to line up a billiard shot through oncoming traffic. With a handful of stages and two characters to choose from, there's a lot of fun to be had in playing for score. Visual clarity is good, as attack patterns are easily identifiable. Mechanically, this game is solid, but I know some people will miss having a precise marker for the character's hitbox like in other shooters. Overall difficulty is fair provided you have an understanding of the mechanics.
For a quirky little shooter, this game also has a lot of soul. Character design is solid, and I love the banter between the player characters and the stage bosses. The game also strikes a good balance with just enough world building to get you invested in the scenario. I'm not ashamed to admit that the boss in stage 5 had me tearing up a bit. The music also slaps unreasonably hard. Influences include jazz fusion, funk, lounge music, some bits of rock, baroque, and even a touch of modern classical. Not a single bad apple in the whole bunch, and always feels fitting to the situation. Whoever watson is, they were cooking real good on this project. There's also a lot of cool sequencing that the game does with the soundtrack and gameplay.
This game is criminally underrated, and the price is honestly a steal. While you might consider passing up Murasaki for it's sequel, I'd recommend picking up both, as the first game does a better job of introducing the mechanics for the first time, whereas the second builds upon it and is a bit more difficult. A solid recommend in my book.

名作です。カタテマ作品はどれもシステムにオリジナリティがありつつも面白いのが特徴ですが、このゲームもそうです。出てくるパズルをうって移動させる、という部分には「いりす症候群」のシステムを感じますね。久しぶりに1から遊びなおしていますがやはり面白いです。
システム自体が面白いのは当然として、やりこむほど「コレクション」で明らかになるストーリーや世界観も非常に魅力的で、そこから何があったかのほとんどを理解した後のステージ5の演出は泣けます。もう泣くことはないのではないかと思っていましたが、あの曲を聞くと自然と涙が出てしまいます……。
ただやりこみの難易度は高いので、コレクションを全て埋められる日が来るのかがひたすら心配になります。
カタテマチームの次の作品が楽しみです。

Pretty easy for a bullet hell game, I think the puzzle mechanics are pretty easily exploited. Maybe I'm too used to "hell" and I can navigate my way through this one without much effort. Either way it's still a really good game with a pretty fun way to clear the screen. The billards like mechanics are pretty fun even if it makes the game feel easy to cheese sometimes.

Normally i wait until i've 100%ed a game before dropping a review on it but...
...yeah i can't do it, that extra stage is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RIDICULOUS, ended up giving up on it because i could not even SCRAPE a win against the boss
Seriously though, this is the best ultra-cheap game that i can't fully beat, it's like a weird Touhou clone (and i'm not saying this as a negative, you can tell just by looking at the gameplay and the slightly-janky character art) with a completely different and interesting overall progression method, and you play things PER-STAGE as opposed to having to do full runs of the game in one go (which arguably makes it MORE comfortable to progress through, since it's less commitment than a full single-sitting game run).
The main catch with the "schmup" gameplay is that you don't JUST shoot enemies (well you can but it's unoptimal), as you can only fire a single bullet at a time and it's not particularly damaging.
Here's the thing; YOUR bullet goes through and erases ENEMY bullets (and bounces off the top of the screen to come back down).
What you ACTUALLY do is pay attention to the stage around you as colored blocks slowly spawn in (just don't touch them, they count as "enemy projectiles"), and then you shoot THESE blocks to turn them into physics props that will slide and bounce across the screen and activate OTHER blocks of the same color they touch; they'll fly in different angles depending on how you hit them rewarding careful aim, and the more blocks hit each other at once, the bigger and more damaging the explosion the blocks will release after a few seconds, and the more absolutely DEVASTATING it is (including clearing even more enemy bullets with those explosions).
The actual spawns of these blocks seem to be entirely RNG-based, but they spawn often enough that assuming you don't waste them the second you see them you'll have PLENTY of stuff to work with soon enough, and with how polished the physics on these are it makes playing around with those and racking up chains REALLY stupidly fun.
The actual game progression (aside from just clearing all the stages one by one) centers around the MISSIONS in the game; a gigantic wall of tiles, each corresponding to one specific mission or objective for you to complete while playing, and completing each mission awards you with either a sound test song or a piece of trivia/story on the game's world, as well as revealing the information/unlock requirements for adjacent missions.
...It's essentially an Air Ride/Smash Bros deal, if you've played either of those games.
The story is kind of all over the place (and a lot of things are purposefully left ambiguous or up to interpretation), but it DOES make progression more fun, getting to unlock extra tidbits of info with each mission you complete and slowly piecing together what's supposed to be going on.
The biggest draw though... The MUSIC.
The music in this game is GENUINELY, ABSOLUTELY one of my favorites i've heard in any obscure small indie game like this, it's RIDICULOUS how good and how varied it is, ranging from cool-ass jazzy/funky tunes to straight up techno/house beats, and ALL of them are catchy as hell [strike]save for the blander guitar/rock tunes that i don't like all that much[/strike].
Really though, just HAVING the music in the background makes playing this game a lot more fun somehow.

遊戲機制奇葩 類似打磚塊加上消除彈幕的玩法
一開始很新奇可是玩了幾場之後就會因為打歪和磚塊亂飄而煩躁
難以規畫一個其他捲軸式彈幕射擊遊戲(STG)熟悉後會有的固定模式(pattern)
其他快節奏STG的的玩家想要體會不同玩法的快感那會很失望
如果連STG都沒玩過應該會更痛苦
主線劇情的前五面之前難度普通
但是額外關卡第六面難度我覺得頗高 這也關係到了遊戲裡的收集要素和steam成就
相比遊戲性 他的角色設定跟音樂非常優秀
在遊戲中達成某些條件後開啟包含主線故事、角色設定、遊戲世界觀的描述可以幫助玩家了解劇情
也在裡面提示要如何邁向好結局的線索
這遊戲的劇情和音樂把這個遊戲昇華到更高的境界
甚至我會說你玩這遊戲不看故事不打完第五面好結局 那何必玩這遊戲這樣白白受苦

Interesting genre mash-up. Was fun with some nice music.
Really nice but different than usual bullet hell game where the story is told through achievements. The gameplay seems confusing at first but becomes really fun once you figure it out. (If you're struggling to understand the mechanics, you can check the manual in your library. It explains stuff in more detail.)
What makes this game really amazing, is in my opinion, the soundtrack. I came with high expectations after playing Irisu Syndrome, another game by the same developer, which Watson also composed for and I was definitely not disappointed. Watson has done an incredible job composing for this game. While the game itself is really good and I loved the puzzle-like aspect of it, the music is what ultimately made me fall in love with the game.
Definitely worth the money! I'm really looking forward to playing the sequel.
Mursaki is one of those games that look confusing, but is actually really simple. I got this game for a dollar because it was on sale and it was recommended a lot, so I gave it a try. I ended up falling in love with the simple match 3 gameplay that happens in a bullet hell playing field. I haven't beaten all of the stages because replaying stages to get a higher score is addicting. The second stage may throw you off because you will die almost instantly. Maneuver a little and then the stage opens up. I'll set a pros / cons for my early experience.

Two ways to play (Fast and short shot and Long shot) for variety

I think the aspect ratio windowed mode it keeps you in is fine. It's like any RPG Maker game. It's just a little small
The art can be hit or miss, but the pixel art is really what you'll see, which is clear and looks good
Overall, I love playing this game. It was cheap and runs on any computer. I like clearing an entire screen of projectiles. It's very satisfying.
Tragically underrated gem.
The "puzzle" side of the puzzle/bullet hell equation makes for an unusually relaxed, yet still difficult bullet hell experience. I'd recommend it to both veterans and newcomers of the genre, as for the most part it's really its own thing. Add in a gorgeous soundtrack that contributes to the overall elegant, mysterious, and melancholic atmosphere, plus an excellent price, and you have an easy buy if you're even a little bit interested.
It contains unique ideas but none of them are well implemented,

It has nice artwork and music but that's about it. Game doesn't even tell you the controls. And it doesn't even have a way to let you exit the game outside of closing the window. It's window only. I could get through the first level although even after doing it several times I'm still not sure what I was doing and what affected what as it never tells you. When you get to the second level you die instantly. So...yeah....this isn't something you should ever pay for.

基本上我买这款游戏以及把这款游戏玩下去的动力就是它的音乐，这种水平的音乐完全可以在大部分音乐游戏中占据相当高的地位。
而游戏体验本身却很尴尬，太随意想当然。它的主要消弹和攻击方式是弹射砖块，但因为砖块是地图上随机刷新的，就难以让玩家有着“靠自己的努力击败敌人”的正向反馈。而且增加输出的方式难以像诸如宝石迷阵那样通过玩家的策略规划来实现，只要等待足够长的时间就能打出很高的连锁。这种策略难以产生更多的深度。
最后一关甚至还出现了音乐突然消失，部分音效消失的bug。但多少也算无巧不成书吧，最后那部分的战斗里，在一片嘈杂之中突然万籁俱静，钢琴曲奏响，将玩家带入一种寂寞伤感的氛围当中，可以想象如果处理得当会是相当惊艳的氛围塑造。
希望作者能够在未来做出更多更好的作品吧。
Murasaki is an obscure, simple but clever game by the Doujin Circle, Katatema, that combines the aesthetic sensibilities of Touhou with the cerebral storytelling and some gameplay similarities of Irisu Syndrome (which should come as no surprise as they developed that game too). Utilizing two primary buttons and the arrow keys, the player flys around as either the male Kairi or female Satsuki shooting projectiles at enemies/bullets while grabbing basic power-ups (health upgrades, bomb stock) and making it to the boss at the end of a level. However, the game takes a cue from Irisu Syndrome by throwing in mild physics and an integral puzzle element by placing different colored bombs on the field. They pop up at regular intervals and when hit, bounce around the screen, ricocheting into same-colored bombs. The more bombs that touch before they detonate, the more powerful the explosion. The player's own bomb works similarly as it can be charged by holding down the button, but should only be used in emergencies.
While the concept is easy to learn, it is hard to master as some strategy is involved as far as where and when to set off bombs all while evading enemy fire, but the game does a good job of easing you into the hell of bullets (except that segment at the start of level two...that's just odd). This would make for a fun diversion in and of itself, but they also threw in challenges to unlock content and "duels" that are triggered by different conditions and change the dialogs of your adversaries, should you choose to let them say their piece or attack them while they talk instead.
Playing as each character yields different results as, unlike most shooters, you have a very slow rate of fire. Kairi has a long range but a very slow rate of fire while Satsuki has a very short range but a faster rate of fire. The scenery and beautiful music by Watson helps fill in some of the gaps left by the game's limited text and delivers an emotional experience.
IMO: 7.5 / 10 PTS

「魔王物語物語」「愛と勇気とかしわもち」のカタテマさん制作のゲームということでセール時に購入しました。カタテマさんの作品にお金が払えるなんて最高ですね… 魔王物語物語もsteamで出てほしいですね。
12時間プレイで実績を3分2ほど解除しました。
〇ゲーム
東方プロジェクトのようなSTGに見えますが、自機の弾幕で敵を倒していくのではなく、画面に現れるブロックをビリヤードのようにはじき連鎖爆発してブロック、敵を倒していくゲームです。カタテマさんのゲームはシステムが独特のものが多く期待していましたがムラサキも大当たりでした。必死に弾幕をよけてから一気に消していくのは快感です。弾幕をよける難易度は東方でノーマルクリアできる方なら余裕だと思います。ステージごとのボス戦も先への進め方がストーリーとリンクしていて、ただ敵を倒せばいいというわけではなく試行錯誤して進めていく楽しさがあります。特に二面と五面は十回やってやっと気が付きました…
〇音楽
すべていいです。もともとフリーゲームですが音楽を買うためにゲームとセット購入しました。ジャケットのデザインはpngで同梱されています。iTunesでも購入できますが750円とsteamより高いです。サントラの音楽形式はwav,mp3,flacの三種類ずつ入っていました。ゲーム内でカットされているところも入っているため、最後まで聴いてみたい方はぜひセットで買ってください。
個人的には「遠来は迷い子を告げる」が好きです。この曲を聴くために実績解除後も三面で遊んでいました。
〇ストーリー
はじめはなぜ主人公達が戦っているのか、主人公の目的も分からなかったのですが、実績を解除するごとに世界観が明かされていきます。キャラも皆濃い！ラストはもう…STGで号泣したのは初めてです。ネタバレなしで自分でやってほしいです。
主人公二人によってボスとの会話も変わっています。
カタテマさんの他のゲームにも言えることですが説明がなく自分で世界観を明らかにしていく、その過程で何度やっても飽きないゲームシステムの良さ、音楽とシステムの調和、すべてが気持ちよく作られています。
無料でも遊べますがカタテマさんを支援したい、素晴らしい音楽をゆっくり聴きたい方にはぜひおすすめします。

기존의 슈팅게임은 탄을 쏴서 적을 죽이는 거라면, 이 게임은 탄 1발로 색이 같은 색 네모를 이용해서 탄소거를 이용하여 적에게 공격하는 게임입니다.
탄 1발 쏘는데 은근 신중하게 쏴야 하고, 무엇보다 화면에 적 탄이 많을 때 네모로 연속 터트리기 해서 화면 전체가 탄소거 되면 정말 쾌감이 끝내줍니다!
탄막슈팅과 퍼즐이라는 조합을 적절히 섞어낸 게임 같습니다.
5스테이지까진 지나치게 쉬운데 6스테이지부터 뭔가 어렵다.. 암튼 재밌다
将传统的STG和打砖块结合，非常有新意的玩法，但是内容不充实，关卡设计有问题，弹幕重复度高，剧情莫名其妙。。。可以当做小游戏玩一下，但是没有太多可玩性。明白三消的玩法后，一会就能通关。
0.5小时。。。嘛，貌似通关了？（不太清楚），全成就感觉有点多。这个游戏的乐趣在于解锁成就（所以尝试全解锁吧）。二面。。呃不是，是第二关初见杀，放bomb即可。如果是通关一周目的话感觉不是太难。我不知道要说什么了（一脸懵逼而语无伦次），反正挺有意思的。。吧。
如果有汉化补丁就好了...作为一个收集狂...
Un juego muy infravalorado que tiene un sistema jugable muy interesante, más parecido a shooters atipicos como Gigawing o Touhou Shoot the Bullet. El creador de Irisu Syndrome nos trae un juego que consiste en usar reacciones en cadena de bombas que van apareciendo por la pantalla para eliminar enemigos o devolverles sus proyectiles. Unido a ello tenemos un sistema de puntuación y dificultad dinámica (como poder prolongar batallas contra jefes haciendo que entren en sus fases más peligrosas de forma opcional a cambio de obtener más puntos o un par de combates extra por jugar de forma pacifista).
Además, las situaciones que nos ofrece el juego hacen que la jugabilidad se expanda maravillosamente.
Mi única queja es que la aparición y posicionamiento de bombas es muy dependiente del azar, por lo que siempre tendrá ese pequeño factor de influencia en la batalla.

It's big on chain reactions just like the dude's other game Irisu Syndrome, which I'm quite fond of. Heck, I even like that the game purposefully doesn't teach you how the game even works, and that it being confusing and sh*t is kind of the point. I look forward to figuring out this game's arcane rules too.

이거 생각외로 꿀잼이다...
1. 일부러 오래 있다가 상자를 모아서 연쇄로 터트리면 쾌감 만발
2. 너무 모으다가 탄 소거가 안 돼서 죽으면 안 되니 아슬아슬할 때까지 모았다 연쇄
3. 너무 좋은 분위기. 잔잔하고 감성적인 분위기에 격정적이지 않은 느낌. 앞에서는 팡팡 터지고 있는데...
4. 뭔가 더 있음. 컬렉션에 설정이 풀리기 시작하고, 스테이지는 다 깼는데 컬렉션은 다 안 채워졌다는 사실을 알았을 때 뭔가 더 있다는 걸 깨달았고 스팀 가이드를 보니 사실이더군요..
이 게임은 스테이지가 짧고, 탄막도 여러개 쏘는게 아닌 한개씩 밖에 쏘지 못해서 신중하게 쏴야합니다. 하지만 난이도는 탄막고자인 저도 다 깰 정도로 쉽습니다. 하지만 스테이지6은 드럽게 어렵습니다. 공략 없이 스테이지5를 플레이 했는데 계속 배드엔딩 나와서 공략을 봤는데 스테이지5의 중간보스들을 1명이라도 죽이면 안됩니다. 만약 그러신다면 감동적인 장면을 못 보게되어요. 브금도 좋아서 브금 들을려고 이 게임을 킵니다.

でもBGMがとても好きでブロック爆発させて敵一掃するのも爽快だから楽しいよ。

O foco do jogo não está em desviar de tiros, mas em usar seus tiros estrategicamente para atingir blocos, gerando uma reação em cadeia que cancela tiros e mata inimigos. É muito comum você derrotar um chefe sem atirar nele sequer uma vez, o que faz com que esse jogo seja jogado de uma forma bem diferente de qualquer outro shmup.
A história do jogo, além de melancólica, possui um forte clima de mistério - os diálogos de chefes te dão pouca informação e não fazem muito sentido. Mas realizando conquistas (achievements) você libera explicações sobre perfil de personagens, história, etc. Com isso você vai juntando as peças e entendendo o que está acontecendo - a história é, de certa forma, um quebra-cabeças que deve ser resolvido. É um shmup que exige "exploração".
A trilha sonora é ótima, os gráficos são simples, de baixa resolução, mas muito elegantes. As artes do jogo também tem um estilo bem definido imitando rascunhos inacabados, complementando o clima de mistério do jogo.
Esse clima está não só na história e na arte, mas também nas mecânicas. Existem [i]muitas[/i] coisas secretas para serem descobertas, e em pouco tempo dá pra perceber que simplesmente atirar sem pensar não vai te levar muito longe.
A dificuldade do jogo é razoável, com uma curva bem adequada (com algumas pequenas exceções intencionais). Há também um modo difícil e um estágio extra para os que quiserem um desafio extra. Não existe algo como um "arcade mode", os estágios são sempre feitos individualmente. Ao invés de repetir estágios múltiplas vezes para terminar o jogo sem "continues", você tentará terminar eles de formas diferentes para encontrar os segredos.
É um jogo simples, curto mas feito com bastante amor e bastante único, mas que irá esconder as coisas de você e exigir que você as procure.
I love a good Shoot'em Up but this one falls short by a mile.
If you happen to have played Irisu Syndrome by the same developer, this one can be described as Irisu meets Touhou, without any scary surprises.
Otherwise, to explain it simply, it's a vertical bullet hell shooting game with an empashis on bullet canceling. You can shoot only one bullet at a time, and while it does clear enemy fire as well as damage them, relying only on that is going to get you killed fast. Instead, you can shoot the colored shapes that appear throughout the level at a steady pace and try to make them bounce against each other: the block will soon explode and destroy anything in its area of effect. Each time the block you shot bumps into another one of the same shape and color, it will cause the second one to explode too, as well as increasing the power and radius of the blast.
That means that rather than squeezing through minuscule openings, you're encouraged to make use of the puzzle-like system to find the perfect moment and angle to hit the blocks and stop the bullets before they even reach you at all. This easy to understand core mechanic remains unchanged for the whole game, but never gets boring as you start to master it and find new ways to save yourself from a difficult spot. The two characters play similarly, with their normal shot being the biggest change: Kairi shoots a bullet that travels to the end of the screen and back, while Satsuki has a short range shot with much higer knockback and creates bigger explosions.
Another important difference from other shmups is that this one doesn't have extra lives or power-ups. Instead, you have a health bar, that can be occasionally replenished by picking up health items, and there is [b] no mercy invincibility[/b] at all, so you can't just let yourself hit it to pass a pattern. You do however have the traditional smart bombs for emergency situations.
Bosses work like Touhou, with the added bonus that some of their attacks are optional and come in the forms of "duels": if you play well enough, the boss coughs up a little red blob, and picking it up initiates an additional pattern. These create
great opportunities for high-scorers, while beginners can easily ignore them with no repercussion.
The game has 5 main stages, which do get progressively more challenging but are easier than what you'd find in most "pure" STGs, and an extra 6th stage which ramps the difficulty up to eleven. If you're going for completion, be ready to have your patience tested. There is also a survival mode where you can try to endure the enemy assault for as long as you can, and a absurdly difficult "hard mode", that is thankfull not required for anything.
Beating the game should take from 2 to 6 hours depending on your skill level and dedication, while clearing it 100% will extend the longevity quite a bit (took me more than 20 hours to manage everything, just to give you an idea, although to be fair I'm not a master player).
Interestingly, despite being a shoot-em-up, a visible amount of care went into the backstory, which you can unlock little by little by collecting the achievements. It's not the main focus of the game, but it's nice to have a sembiance of plot that is not just a complete excuse to shoot things down, and it's a nice rewards for those willing to go the extra mile.
As for the technical side: enemy mobs are pretty much all variations of the same design, sadly, but the character and bosses' portraits are much more detailed and good-looking. The soundtrack is also easy on the ears and goes perfectly with the flow of the game, especially during the later levels.
I didn't encounter any notable bug, and can confirm PS3 and PS4 controllers both work fine.

The game isn't as difficult as most danmaku games but the puzzle aspect in the mix makes the game feel so fun and rewarding. If you're a seasoned danmaku player expecting a difficult challenge in terms of dodging, look somewhere else but if you're expecting a fresh new take on danmaku games that are just as rewarding, this game is a must buy.

シンプルで楽しい爆発パズル物理アクションゲームの名の通り、一見STGのようで実際はパズルの要素が強いです。はじめはルールを理解するのが大変ですが、慣れてくるとブロックを連鎖爆発させて点数を稼ぐ快感に酔いしれることができます。ランダム性がほぼないので、STGが苦手な人でもパターンを構築すればクリアできるんじゃないかと思います（6面は除く）
また、実績を取得することで徐々に明らかになっていく世界観や、素敵なBGMとシンクロした演出など、細かいところで魅力が光る作品です。サントラは超おすすめ。

第三关打了好几次才过去，游戏有一定难度。音乐好评。这个是十分有趣的游戏
フリー版を所有していましたが、steam版も購入いたしました。
単発の弾丸を画面上に向けて撃つゲームですが、
時に画面を埋め尽くすような「弾幕」が発生し、
いわゆる「ボム」もありますが敵を撃つ為にわざと被弾してすり抜けるプレイも
やり方としてございます。
進化したスペースインベーダーとも、私には解釈する事が出来ます。
どの地点で撃って、どう避けるか。
精密操作とその場の機転、面白いゲームだと判定します。
純和風の雰囲気ながら、どことなく切ない映像と音楽。

Sin embargo no soy jugadora asidua de bullet hells ni me gustan musho... a grandes rasgos: Es un bullet hell en el cual puedes manejar a 2 personajes con "skills" unicas, el juego tiene una mecanica tipo "puzzler" en la cual le tienes que pegar a 2 tipos de "orbes" para destruir balitas... y ya... llegue a la cuarta stage y de ahi no pase xD
La banda sonora es hermosa eso si.

对弹幕游戏还算比较懂，其中的一大特色就是包含着解密要素，说是
解密要素，其实是恰当的打砖块引发连锁得到更高的分数以及过关吧
音乐很不错，含DLC其中的那几首都很好听，循环再循环
游戏的剧情和场景都不错，说的是主角二人拯救世界的故事
跟遇到帮助过她们和她们帮助过的有爱的人们，大团圆结局
相比东方系列，没有慢速，键盘手柄操作都不是很适应，花了好久才
找到的手感，以至于用了很多时间都在如何完成成就上，确实有意思
Boss战富有特色，虽然大招名字有些中二，不过难度还是有的
4面Boss：打四个角的锁链，破茧成蝶，蝴蝶小姐姐被锁住了
5面Boss：途中不要击破三个乐器成员，钢琴小姐姐会孤单吧
6面Boss：注意弹幕，熟悉走位，大招保命，该怂就怂，能稳就赢！
休闲玩家梦关太难不考虑，全成就知足了，推荐值得一玩(･´ω`･)
Unexpectedly good and ridiculously underrated, but not without flaws.
This is a game about clearing bullets off of the screen - this shouldn't be compared to Touhou or any of Cave's shmups, simply because you have a lot more control over the bullet density. The mechanic for clearing bullets off of the screen is simple - you shoot one of the colored blocks and it explodes, clearing bullets. If the colored block hits a similarly colored block, then the explosion is larger, in proportion to how many blocks you hit.
Usually, there's two different colors. The fact that you can choose which colored block to hit opens up a lot of very good mixed strategies for the veteran, which makes the game mechanic significantly more fun than it would be with just one color. There's harder stages with three colors, which has the effect of making things easier if you are very good, and harder if you are not.
The artistic style is incredibly good. First, the bullet patterns are fresh. Most bullet patterns in most games have the effect of pushing the cautious player down, but the cautious player in this game will sometimes feel himself pushed upwards, which is interesting. You really feel like you're using the entire screen to play very often, which is really good. Second, the art itself, though unpolished a little, is quite beautiful. Last, however, the music is absurdly good - "bringing you to tears and making you serously consider buying the OST" good. Perhaps the first thing I thought with respect to the style was that this is the game most US indie gamers wish they could make - a game that is undeniably a piece of art, but without any of the pretentiousness that typically burdens such games.
I must admit that I take issue with three things: first, the second stage is notably harder than most of the rest of the game. This feels incredibly unbalanced. For someone who is good, this will not matter much, but it is not a good thing. I can imagine this being a significant hurdle for someone new. I would have put that particular opening sequence in a later stage, but the burstiness of it definitely fits the character of the second boss.
Second (spoiler), there does not appear to be indication in-game that you should not destroy the last stage midbosses in order to get the good ending. This is very counterintutive.
Third, there is not a middle difficulty. The unprotected mode feels like "Hard" or "Extra Hard" mode, while the protected mode feels like "Easy" mode.
The third flaw makes me hesitant to categorically recommend this game - I thus conditionally recommend it. If you're starting out and trying to branch out, the protected mode of this game is a good way to do this. If you're mildly skilled (using Touhou as a yardstick, 1cc'ing most Touhou games on normal being no challenge, but 1cc'ing most Touhou games on hard being a bit beyond you) and you want a sort of challenge, the unprotected mode of this game is definitely a way to go. If you're very skilled, then perhaps spending 8 or so hours admiring the art and bullet patterns is worthwhile.
The only group of people I must say who should avoid this game are people who have a low, but not very low, level of skill. Unprotected mode will be too hard, and protected mode will be too easy.
Get good, then blow $5 on this game. The experience will be very worth it.

开心消消乐+台球（这样说也不太对，或许更像花映塚，手动奥特曼，反正是消弹游戏
special：注意要按住x键一会儿松开才能释放
成就系统：弹幕天邪鬼那种
replay系统：标题画面按esc就可以看了，游戏自动存rep
非常值得玩，没有任何缺点（第一次觉得没有判定点很浪漫
