even though the games description says you don't need to binge the whole series before playing this one, I highly recommend that you do! this game is the best amalgamation of the whole series up to this point, it has the smoothest combat, a semi interesting storyline that also answers questions throughout the series if you were paying attention to it. but overall it just feels like a great game that has learned from the strengths and weaknesses from previous titles.
playing as the protagonist of momodora II makes sense since I know more people who didn't play as her in Momodora III it concludes the stuff set up in those 3 games. the exploration was at it's best here too where I actually found all the collectables and did the whole map. there's even a bit of a post game if you're interested in that too which reminds me that this game has also got the best and most bosses in the series which were all a delight! It's a shame that this is the last game in the series but having played all the games and finishing this one is a great experience! seeing how much the series evolved and while the series isn't a masterpiece it's a great story of why video games are amazing, a simple indie game with humble beginnings taking inspo from metroid,castlevania and cave story to ultimately becoming more of it's own thing!

I really liked previous Momodora, and was hoping for a great game here, but sadly this one disappointed me.
Pixel art is fine, but the rest is kinda generic and dull. I did 3 or 4 areas of most elementary enemies, got sprint and double jump (yaaaawn) but really cant force myself to continue playing because its so boring. Enemies are no threat, and if you want you can run past them anyway. Areas while look nice have super basic level design and going through them is just tedious. No fun vibes in this game.

Lately ive been playing some metroidvanias from my backlog, some are good, some are bad, but this one is most forgettable and generic, which makes it even worse than these truly bad ones, because they at least stay in your memory, this one will definitely not.

赏月听曲，倚静撸猫
类银河恶魔城，画面是比较精细的像素风。地图设计很不错，虽然还是不能标记，但做了区域颜色区分，而且有未收集的物品时地图会有“?”提示，这比ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the mist的地图变蓝还方便些。本作引入了法力值与耐力值的设定，纹章数量也大大增加，传送点也不再像月下遐想那样只是传送到区域，而是增加了固定的传送点。新增了幻影伙伴，虽然Boss战的时候不能用，但对跑图的辅助能力还是很强的。这一作的操作手感很棒，唯一可惜的是没有空中冲刺了，在刚玩完前作的基础上游玩本作能感受到巨大的进步。本地化方面，还是有个说火星文的小恶魔，但作为系列终章还是能感受到制作组满满的诚意，莫莫和多拉的出现也总算契合了游戏主题：莫莫多拉，就是好奇嘉赫是不是前作的嘉穗?
剧情通关后有BossRush模式和Boss连战模式，Rush模式分为追忆和噩梦，全收集需要追忆模式全打一遍，这个比较简单，只需用上预言家、觉醒树叶、同调模式必定觉醒和魔法剑纹章，除了两个会飞的不好打以外其他基本站撸就能过。

Es un buen juego, se puede describir como un metroidvania ligero y sencillo (lo puedo recomendar como entrada al genero). A diferencia de su entrega anterior este da mas lore a su universo. Pero flaquea un poco con las animaciones por ejemplo esta la mecanica de saltar desde las paredes pero no se cuando hace el doble salto o desde la pared porque falta una animacion de arrastre por la superficie y la musica esta bien pero puede ser mejorable.

É um grande aumento em tudo o que foi feito nos jogos anteriores da série, mecânicas novas de equipamentos, habilidades, tamanho do mapa, mas o mais importante do que qualquer outra coisa, VOCÊ PODE PESCAR E FAZER CARINHO NOS GATOS!!!!!

Esse jogo ficou lindo, dá para ver que teve muito carinho na produção dele com base nos comentários dos próprios DEVs ou até mesmo em cada detalhezinho do produto final, trilhas sonoras, e principalmente, a pixel art que está ridícula de linda.

Gostei muito por um lado, trouxe boas menções dos títulos anteriores, em especial Momodora 3 e Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, artefatos e citações aqui e ali que deram mais contexto ao que ocorreu nos outros jogos, inimigos de títulos anteriores trazidos de volta, personagens que se desenvolveram com o passar dessa história, o passado e as consequências após Kaho ter purificado a maldição...

Porém, mesmo aparentando ter se estruturado em momodora 4, um de meus jogos favoritos, não senti a mesma coisa com esse aqui, talvez alguns chefes sendo muito mais esponja de dano do que obstáculos, ou tenha achado que o jogo ficou muito fácil pela quantidade de poderes e habilidades novas, ainda não saberia dizer com exatidão, mas nada que seja um problema ou prejudique o jogo de maneira geral.

É um jogo excelente, trouxe paz para uma história de vários anos encerrou bem a franquia.

Momodora is the kind of game you will never have enough of. The story is touching, the art is beautyful and the soundtrack is awesome. The gameplay never gets boring, It has a great replayability and is a very good game if you like the genre. Trying to get all the successes is challenging too but really enjoyable to do.
I had a lot of fun playing this game and if i could wipe out my memory to replay it from zero, I would do it without hesitation.

Apart from the amazing pixel art, everything else in this game is such a downgrade from its previous entry. Challenge was completely removed from the game, theres no penalty for dying whatsoever, dodging has infinite i-frames, power-ups are too OP, healing is so powerful and plentiful that boss fights are reduced to sponges you just mash attack and heal to beat, level design and progress feel severely unfinished in almost every area of the game, dialogue and story are whatever. I'm having a hard time imagining who these changes are meant to please. Certainly not the fans of the previous entries.
It's not a bad game, its worse than that. A bad game at least leaves a mark, but this one is so mid, flavourless and forgettable, even among metroidvanias, that all I feel is indifference. Just a complete waste of time, both from the developers as well as the people playing it in hopes of a memorable time.

Lindo jogo, feito com MUITO amor e executado de forma quase perfeita.
Sou fã da série momodora desde o lançamento do 4 e amo tanto o 4 quanto a sequencia espiritual, Minoria, mas nunca tinha dado uma chance pro novo da série, que sinceramente, é espetacular.
A animação, a trilha sonora, a o desing dos inimigos (e da protagonista que é uma fofura), formam um dos jogos mais cativantes e viciantes que joguei nos ultimos tempos.
Os únicos adendos que tive foram a facilidade dos bosses (e a falta de carinho com eles, são muito esqueciveis) e a forma como o dinheiro é inutil mesmo que se ganhe muito dele até os ultimos momentos do jogo, seria mais interessante uma loja propriamente dita do que apenas a criação dos sinetes.
Enfim, LINDO, CATIVANTE, INTERESSANTE e bonitinho (bonitinho demais)

Well. Coming from Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight...double the game, double the fun. I guess!

Really great little Metroidvania, a lot of stuff to find, cute graphics, great soundtrack. I really don't see
anything bad to say about this one.. I just wanted another ten hours more of this game. I know there is like Arranged Mode, boss rushes ect. but I'm only about the main game here. I don't even want to know what they changed in the Arranged mode but I bet it's just some annoying addition like one hit kills or something like that. It's just gonna ruin the game for me so I don't want to do that.

I tried playing Reverie Under Moonlight a few years ago but for some reason it just never clicked with me, so I was cautious about trying Moonlit Farewell. After finally getting around to it... yeah, it's really good! It's definitely easier than Reverie (up to you if that's good or not) but the combat feels a lot more intuitive with the dodge timing and glowing indicators.

The card system is a really fun way of customising your session and offers a decent amount of build variety, though Glazed Aegis is absolutely busted. If you want to not think about the combat at all, Aegis lets you brain off breeze through the entire game (and makes the hardcore achievement a breeze, though you do need to [i]reach[/i] Aegis before you can use it). I think the game is at its best when you're not using Aegis and experimenting with the other cards though, there's a decent amount of flexibility and with The Fool being available from the prologue you can even do an absolutely psychopathic OHKO run if you want (and I did).

The actual metroidvania side of it is very condensed and the map tells you when there are items remaining, so it's not too hard to find everything. I think my first playthrough was around 12 hours and subsequent ones were 5, then 4. If you know where you're going, 4 hours is a pretty comfortable average time for a run.

Not a huge time sink, fun combat, and there's an Archipelago world available if you want to play a randomised version with friends. Very very fun game.

The fifth and possibly final installment of the series, and my personal favorite. The combat has been greatly expanded on since the previous titles with the addition of Sigils and Lunar Attunement, offering a broad sense of build variety. The art and sound design were already some of the strongest areas of the previous installments in the series, but were even further improved here. The level design is great, both in gameplay and aesthetics. Storytelling wise, this title has had the most direct approach we've seen from the Momodora games, which gave us many answers to questions that were previously open ended. This is great for returning players hoping to find concrete conclusions; and for giving new players an easier experience with following the current events. This is further supported by the feature of including summaries of the past games in the "Notes" section of your menu. The Momodora series is a very welcoming, beginner friendly experience that could be enjoyed by anyone who is already familiar with the Metroidvania genre, or is interested in getting started. With the amount of content this game offers in both the main and post game, it holds it's value of 16.99 very well.

Momodora is one of those series that you just stumble upon. I don't know the full story of the growth of this series, but it definitely grew from being a niche series to a major indie series full of fans and love for the games. It's become one of my favorite series of all time too. The characters, the worldbuilding, the lore, the art, it's all perfect. I've been a fan for years now but I got too busy to play through this game for so long that I was ecstatic to have a weekend to just play and enjoy it.

While the original trilogy are 2d pixel platformers with games like Cave Story and Megaman for inspiration, Reverie Under the Moonlight and Moonlit Farewell are metroidvania platformers with a much heavier focus on combat. I feel like Moonlit Farewell really achieved that perfect mix of difficulty and player power. I can be absolutely shredding a boss's healthbar, but if I'm not careful they'll still take me down. Movement is a vital part of this game's combat. If you're saving your stamina for dodging, you're gonna start having difficulty in some of the later fights. There's a fight [spoiler] against Dora [/spoiler] in the post-game that had me trying like 10 times to beat it because I wasn't properly taking advantage of the run button. Dodging can only get you so far and sometimes you need to book it to one side of the arena or the other.

Speaking of movement, I adore the movement in this game. It's fast, but leaves you completely in control. While you start the game limited, the world is your oyster by the end. The fast travel system is great for going from one side of the map to the other, but it won't get you everywhere and I found myself ignoring it entirely at times because I was just enjoying exploring and moving around the map too much.

The characters of this game are overflowing with personality. From Dora's pride and ego to eating and talking with Cereza, even the bosses have histories and desires. The final boss [spoiler] even has his emotions about his sister laid out to us plainly as boss fights with their own death dialogues [/spoiler]. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's just so nice to see the characters' opinions and growth. Big highlight is the side quest with Melilot and learning about her expedition and findings.

This isn't a super long game. I finished my first playthrough in about 7.5 hours guideless and tackled the post-game content in about 3 hours. The only time I needed a guide was for one side quest that goes literally ALL OVER the map (in a good way) and can be a little hard to find the next spot for progressing it. I still haven't gotten the last few achievements, but that's only because I have to start up 2 more playthroughs (which I'm SO EXCITED to do).

Should you play this game? YES!!! Should you play the rest of the series? YES!!!!! This game is not a standalone game and you will be lost without at least knowing the stories of the previous games. It's all well worth the time though. PLAY THESE GAMES!!!! rdein is an amazing developer and their team is just as vital to how good this series has been. Thank you all for the amazing games!

Beautiful pixel art and visuals and satisfying gameplay that improves a lot from Reverie Under The Moonlight (I think personally). It may be short, around 8 to 9 hours to complete, but it's longer than Reverie Under The Moonlight.

It may not be the next Hollow Knight, but it's still a pretty worth game.

It's a beautiful simple and sweet Metroidvania with exciting combat and lots of items to customize your playstyle, from staying on the defensive to having only one HP but being able to deal enormous damage in return. What surprised me most at first was the further distance of the game view, which makes each room nice and big to explore and the characters smaller. It's a nice idea because, towards the end, you can jump around with the screen full of enemy bullets, which wouldn't have been possible with a different resolution. To date, it is truly the masterpiece.

游戏流程本身很短，但是介于这个价格非常值得。
游戏本身有难度选项，也有很多轮椅流派，人物性能也非常强悍所以还是很推荐上手游玩。
和前作比画面与动画明显进步，画面更加唯美，人物设计更好看，动画更流畅。上作那沟槽的敌人攻击，以及跟领导一样我一背身就掉头来视奸我的反应相比，这一作ai真是好了不少。操作上也有了不小的改变，前作最后一击会使主角向前位移，很容易吃到碰撞伤害，站桩输出也及其不方便，很容易因为最后一下吃到伤害，这一作就不会有这么蠢的设定了。此外本作每个场景显示更大了，这样就更好看见敌人位置，而不像前作那样莫名其妙挨打。
音乐方面感觉只有村庄内好听，其他的bgm都不够出彩。
满分10分能给7分，画面和操作占比加分，让我找到了当年刚玩《餐饮地城》的感觉，想到了当年那无忧无虑的时光（可能只是我这么觉得吧）作为游戏来说刚刚及格是有的，但不出众，不过这个系列也是越做越好了。

엔딩 보니까 이게 시리즈 마지막 작품인거 같은데 어... 좀 구린거 같음...

일단 메트로베니아라고 하기에는 그 요소가 넘 부족함
새 이동능력을 먹고 못갔던 곳 군데군데 퍼먹는 맛이 있어야 하는데
여기서 못갔던 곳이면 그냥 다음으로 진행하는 길임
중후반부에 미친 백사놈이 어디있는지도 모르겠는 가루 두 개 찾아달라는거
이 잡듯이 맵 훑어먹으면서 제대로 느낌

지도가 그리 친절하지도 않아서 또 불편함, 위에서 말한 가루 하나는 찾았는데 다른거 찾다 찾다 도저히 못찾겠다 싶어서
인터넷에 찾아 봤더니 황당한 위치에 있길래 어이가 없었음

전투가 괜찮냐 하면은...?
앵간한 잡몹들은 다 한두대 맞으면 경직 걸려서 일방적으로 패는데
이걸 개발자들도 진작에 인지했는지
후반부 몹은 거의 노경직 or 지랄맞은 위치에 인식하면 세상 끝까지 쏴재끼는 원거리 몹을 배치해버려서 좀 기분 나쁨
또 몇몇의 가시성 씹창난 몹들이 좀 있음
중후반부에 그지 같은 마을 바깥으로 나왔더니 개뜬금 없이 제대로 보이지도 않는 대포알에 맞아 뒤진건 어이가 없음;

보스전도 뭐 특정 카드들 밸류가 씹사기라 힐빨면서 최종보스랑 치킨게임 맞다이 까서 잡음
막보 WWE 개막에 밀려 낙사해 죽었는데 리트해도 스킵 안돼는 연출 강제 관람까지 시켜준다

차라리 허무할 정도로 짧게 템포 가져가는 전작이 나은 듯

뭐 장르 입문작으로는 전작과 같이 나름 괜찮다고 생각 하다만은...
메트로베니아가 격겜, 탄막 슈팅겜, 리겜마냥 장벽이 심한 장른가? 싶어서 굳이굳이긴 함
일단 이것저것 풍부했던 다른 동일 장르겜 하고 오면 아쉬울 요소가 많음

《莫莫多拉: 月下告别》是一部像素风格类银河城游戏。我们将扮演莫莫，受族长之令，调查引来恶魔钟声的真正原因。

本部游戏是momo系列最后一部作品，如同游戏名字一样，月下告别，momo系列游戏收尾之作，告别整个系列。

而在游戏玩法以及地图设计上面，是整个系列集大成之作。

在游戏的开局，我们依然是近战刀和远程弓箭的设计，但是有蓝量的卡槽，也就意味着还有技能可以释放，不过刚开始只有恢复技能。近战和远程依然可以无缝切换，随心所欲，尽情体验战斗的魅力。随着游戏进度，还能解锁纹章，获取不同的加成。不同的搭配往往有不同的效果，游戏体验更快乐。

与前作相比，拥有更庞大的场景构建，以及丰富的路线。在解迷方面，也是更多，更加有趣。

UI与存档设计上面，继承了前作的铃铛存档，以及简易画风。除此之外，又对UI进行了一些优化与调整，视觉效果更佳，战斗视角更广阔，互动感更丰富。

开阔的战斗场景，比起前作而言，更能体会boss的压迫感，战斗的交互，有种前所未有的快感，近战上刀，翻滚过后便可以拉扯弓箭。boss的战斗动作，虽然有些模板化，但是体验感很好，打击感相当不错。

游戏的地图探索，相当自由，除去必要的主线流程，可以说是蒙多想去哪就去哪！我们可以随心所欲的在地图中四处探索，寻找遗落的宝箱，与落单的小怪战斗，找到在地图深处的boss，体验一场绝美的旅程。

游戏的画风可爱，鲜艳的色彩，配上像素的风格，赏心悦目。而游戏的进程，自从一个偏僻的地方，前往繁华的村庄，可以体验到，由破败到繁荣。有种魂二初到如蜜的感觉，震撼！

游戏的音乐，设计非常有韵味，在大地图行走探索中，可以体验到细节满满的设计，时而轻缓，时而激昂，两种音乐交错，体验感非常好。

游戏的人物建模，对比前传而言，更是得到了极大的加强与优化。各种细节满满，在与村长对话的时候，还会有小动作交互鞠躬，可可爱爱，非常不错。

游戏的战斗交互手，十分流畅，在两种攻击姿势相互切换时，并不会感觉到卡顿，切换的时候交错方滚，让战斗的体验感更上一层楼。不过翻滚需要使用体力条，体力条会随着移动或者时间缓慢恢复，一定的体力条只能翻滚一次，体力条不够，便不能翻滚。

这是最终的旅程，也是momo系列最后一部作品，月下告别，告别一切。

I love Metroidvanias, but I'm also not super good at them, so I wanted a palate cleanser between getting my ass repeatedly kicked in Silksong. (It's a slow process, but I'm getting there!) So this game looked like a fun diversion , and it was! I'd never played a Momodora game before this one, but I enjoyed it. The worldbuilding is cool, and the game never isolates the player for not knowing who specific characters are or what events happened in previous games. That being said, it was a little TOO easy, especially the boss fights. The majority of the bosses I was able to defeat on my first encounter, and none of them ever took me more than 5 attempts. This was really disappointing, because if even I was able to excel so easily, I'm sure it's next to nothing for most players. I don't know if this is consistent throughout the Momodora franchise, or if this particular game was scaled too easy, but I'll probably find out since I have the entry before this one already owned, too. I liked Moonlit Farewell enough to check it out before too long.

I reviewed every Momodora and Minoria game, and I couldn't leave out this gem that concludes the saga!
It's a beautiful Metroidvania with exciting combat and lots of items to customize your playstyle, from staying on the defensive to having only one HP but being able to deal enormous damage in return. The pixel art is the best in the series, with excellent lighting effects applied to the animation sprites. The controls are great, and the story is wonderful. It's very talkative and adds lore to the previous games, closing the circle with this chapter. It's fully enjoyable for a new player of the series!
What surprised me most at first was the further distance of the game view, which makes each room nice and big to explore and the characters smaller. It's a nice idea because, towards the end, you can jump around with the screen full of enemy bullets, which wouldn't have been possible with a different resolution. To date, it is truly the masterpiece of rdein and his entire team. Congratulations to everyone! As for the trophies, the game requires playing through two modes (unlocked after completing the first game): arranged mode, where the entire game map is mirrored and the enemies are more numerous and tenacious, and hardcore mode, where your save is deleted if you die. Good luck! I had a lot of fun doing everything!

This was the cutest metroidvania I've ever played! 6.5 hours to complete, gorgeous animation work, and lots of cats and cute sprites. I really appreciate that there wasn't too much backtracking or an overwhelming number of collectibles to find. Just a breezy, fun game to sink a few evenings into.

전작에 비해서 모션이나 이펙트 등등은 발전했지만 전투는 더 재미없어졌고 점차 능력이 해금되어가면서 탐험욕구가 상승하는 메트로베니아적인 재미는 오히려 퇴보한듯..

O jogo é bonitinho, você consegue perceber que foi feito com carinho e é sem dúvidas uma boa entrada pro mundo de Metroidvanias. Porém, peca na variedade de itens. Há opções de companheiro, mas são apenas skins fazendo a mesma coisa. A dificuldade também é um problema, ela é inexistente e quando não, é artificial: Vou rancar metade da sua vida num hit porque sim.

Its more of the previous momodora game with expanded dialog and systems that doesn't really go anywhere. I expected a bit more when for example fishing or the relationship-system was introduced. I liked it and it didn't overstay its welcome.

Beautiful pixel art and very pleasant gameplay, enjoyed the ride a lot. Story isn't very appealing though and the trophies forcing you to do the game all over again in 2 different difficulties (meaning having to do the game 3 times...) is not a great addition in my opinion.
