Was expecting a Metroidvania but got a linear challenge instead minus some secret side stuff somewhere along the ride that i at least missed. And on easy the challenge is only in name early on as at some point you get the upgrades to make the difficulty trivial enough to just breeze it all to the end.

Recommend it? yes if you are willing to play it trough again on higher level. Clearly a game that will test your skills on higher difficulty. Or if nothing else your ability to speed run it all trough. 1.99€ price is quite attractive too so can't really blame it too much for not delivering something big and bloated like these tend to usually be. Instead it's small and well packed action set you get and sometimes less is more. I do kinda like this nifty little game even though i am not a fan of the series in any way.

Cute and stylish. The combat is fun, the characters are cool, and the art is so pretty. If you find the game fun I'd suggest looking at the first two games (available for free on itch) even though they are ultimately rougher versions of this game but give more context and backstory to the characters. I am biased as I grew up with the game series though...

Charming little game! it went back to the structure of the first momodora but just feels more polished with better level design, you can warp back to previous levels incase you misssed any secrets or grind out the enemies for money. you can see how the previous games felt like proofs of concept and this one feelss like an climax of the best parts of the last 2 games I'm excited to see how the next game in the series goes.

Very enjoyable 2 and a half hour experience to get 100% achievements. Playing this after playing Reverie Under the Moonlight (prequel), watching Momodora I and II on youtube, and after playing Momodora III I will now play the final game (to my knowledge) Moonlit farewell.

This game gives a good idea of how the first two games in the series were and gives you a feeling for the roots with the benefit of being very polished. The powerups are very forgiving (summon stone + Dream Ring is so overpowered you can invis frame through everything and spam melee) but messing around with different powers was still fun. I enjoyed taking my time on my first run and exploring everything and then breezing through subsequent runs for achievements. Overall very enjoyable with minimal commitment for time. Absolutely worth the $2

Great third installment to the series. If you like metroidvanias, it's worth checking out. If you're looking to get into the genre, this is a great place to start. The gameplay is simple and easy to follow, but still provides entertaining and engaging encounters. In my opinion, the art and sound design are some of the strongest areas of this game. All of this is neatly packaged into a ~1 hour experience. But if you're like me and like to "complete" games, you can squeeze out another 2-3 hours worth of stimulating content, making this game well worth the $1.99 price tag.

Rejoguei pq acabei lembrando que fui muito injusto quando zerei pela 1° vez lá em 2024. Por algum motivo, eu esperava algo igual o Momodora Reverie Under the Moon, oq não faz sentido já que esse título é anterior kkkkkkkk
Agora pensando melhor, é praticamente a base pro Momodora 4. Me diverti mais dessa vez fazendo as conquistas, que são bem poucas e rápidas, e minha opinião sobre os chefes continua: É só spammar o botão igual um bobão que você ganha!
Só a boss cogumelo e a Deusa da Morte que você precisa decorar um pouco mais.
Rapidinho e divertidinho pra passar 1/2h jogando. A pixel art é bem fofinha, e os ambientes são bem feitos também junto com os inimigos, que são mais fofos doq ameaçadores. As sessões de plataformas são tão suaves que você pode acabar caindo por ser bem leve.
É baratinho, joguem.

Mesmo que de forma bem breve, e debruçado sobre um pequenino escopo técnico, é perceptível que Momodora III se empenha com esmero em realizar efetivamente o que propõe: um jogo de plataforma simples, conciso e carismático. Nada mais, e nada menos; seja isso positivo, ou negativo.

O que mais incomoda nessa fórmula, sobretudo, é o combate truncado - acho a vibração da tela tanto aqui quanto em Momodora 4 de péssimo gosto, mas os inimigos e bosses aqui também são bem menos marcantes em questão de gameplay, mesmo que semelhantes - e seu péssimo balanceamento (no que tange o Easy e o Normal, pelo menos; ainda não testei o Hard), e a estruturação das fases que não fogem muito de um mesmo padrão claro, por mais que funcional.

No entanto, o jogo de rdein se mantém charmoso do início ao fim graças, principalmente, à sua estética visual e sonora e, sem dúvidas, esses fatores são justamente o ponto mais forte dessa experiência. Por menos de 5 Lulacoins na Steam - nem um salgado é tão barato assim mais aqui no Brasil -, você vai poder vislumbrar um ótimo trabalho de pixel arte e de composição musical que ilustra fofíssimos character designs. Momo, Dora e as outras garotas que aparecem ao longo do jogo conseguem cativar mesmo com pouco tempo de tela devido a suas caracterizações sutis, mas bem cativantes.

Talvez me empolgasse mais caso tivesse sido meu primeiro jogo do desenvolvedor, porém fica evidente aqui que o germe requintado de Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight, já estava sendo cultivado com afinco.

Игрушку в целом, на все достижения, можно пройти за час, т.к. даже на средней сложности боссов можно затыкать, принимая добрую часть плюх лицом.

Definitivamente a sequência de Momodora II e o antecessor de Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight.

Essa relíquia vem trazendo pérolas durante a gameplay, como, o insta kill lendário que eu tomo quando bato no bixo no mesmo tempo q a bomba dele explode em mim, definitivamente feito para rushar (ignorando tudo q der), as mecânicas de bosses insanas, que com minha "build" se resumiu a spammar ataque até os bosses morrerem... Não vou comentar sobre a ajudante fantasma ser full op.

Dito isso, pelo valor e por ser curto, vale 100% a experiência.

I love everything about this game! I played the previous chapters and jumped right into this one. Within a few days, I had earned all the trophies (the speedrun and pacifist run trophies are great), and I can tell you that it's an excellent mini-Metroidvania (the backtracking is minimal, so it barely fits into the category). It has great controls and equipable items that allow you to choose your own playing style. I recommend starting on Hard Mode with three health hearts, which makes it more rewarding. For the less experienced, there is also a mode with ten hearts and automatic health recovery. It's truly a game for anyone who wants to get into the genre!

Последняя часть серии после двух бесплатных, которая в основе своей является линейным экшен-платформером. Все так же проходится за 30-40 минут в зависимости от вашего скилла, но помимо этого имеет пару ачивок для повторного прохождения. Боссы не сложные [spoiler] хотя если вам нужен челендж, тут есть hard-мод [/spoiler], музыка приятная, есть элементы метроидвании. Рекомендую всем, кто только решил познакомиться с Момодорой непосредственно в Steam, а так же тем, кто уже играл в другие части этой серии.

Olá, bom dia, boa tarde e muito boa noite a todos! Vamos para mais uma análise curta, com um pouquinho de profissionalismo, de um dos metroidvanias mais bem feitos que conheço na atualidade.

[b]Momodora III é um metroidvania em pixel art desenvolvido pela Bombservice e Guilherme "rdein" Martins, lançado em 2014 utilizando o Game Maker 7[/b]. No jogo, podemos controlar Momo ou Dora, duas sacerdotisas que estão investigando aparições estranhas na Vila de KoHo. Cabe a nós descobrir o que está acontecendo e derrotar os inimigos com uma [i]folha de outono[/i]... que, surpreendentemente, é bem resistente pra esmurrar uma beterrabinha Demoníaca com porrete(Se cuide na Irlanda, Manauara).

O jogo é muito bem feito. Claro que a história é algo, digamos, ignorável, pelo menos foi a sensação que tive. Acho que o melhor termo seria: ela está lá, mas não agrega muito, e está tudo bem. O tempo de jogo é bem curto, levando aproximadamente de [b]1 a 2 horas para zerar[/b]. Isso é um pouco estranho, já que as fases são mais lineares e não focam em múltiplas passagens, mas ainda assim é mais curto do que eu esperava.

O jogo também apresenta um sistema de loja e itens que podemos encontrar no mapa de cada um dos 6 níveis. Eles nos concedem certos atributos que carregamos para tornar a jornada menos dificultosa.

Todo o cenário é bem trabalhado. Embora falemos de pixel art simples, [b]o maior destaque está justamente nas partes interativas: movimentação, animações dos inimigos, chefes e protagonistas[/b] que, ao meu ver, são um bom diferencial. A trilha sonora é boa; não são músicas marcantes como as do seu sucessor, mas ainda assim cumprem bem o papel.

Em suma, se você gosta de uma miniaventura em estilo pixelizado, eu recomendo. A platina é bem simples de conquistar.
Não se trata de um título marcante ou inovador, mas de um jogo sólido, capaz de entreter sem exigir grande investimento de tempo ou até mesmo esforço

Momodora 3 foi o meu primeiro Metroidvania zerado e pode se dizer que foi uma experiência média, o jogo é bem curtinho, o tempo de jogo pra zerar ele foi duas horas(no hard), esse jogo tem umas hitboxes meio quebradinhas, mas é um bom jogo. Recomendo jogar no modo hard, pois no normal o jogo perde a graça por conta da quantidade de HP, e no easy nem me fale. Só utilize os outros modos de jogo se for platinar, o que não é muito difícil, e é o que planejo fazer. Ah, uma coisa que preciso dizer que pode incomodar muitos é que esse jogo não tem um mapa, o que pra gente que se perde até com uma seta dizendo onde vc tem que ir, pode ser chato, mas enfim, uma ótima jogatina a todos que planejam jogar esse game.

Após ter jogado toda a saga de Momodora, posso dizer que esse aqui foi uma experiência única justamente pela dificuldade. A platina desse jogo foi bem desafiadora — o jogo em si já não é fácil, e algumas conquistas realmente colocam suas habilidades à prova, mas isso acaba sendo um dos pontos mais marcantes dele. A sensação de ter feito por merecer é absurda. As batalhas são incríveis e a simplicidade do jogo traz uma nostalgia muito forte, já que é um dos primeiros da franquia, mais antigo que os outros. 유료 게임이라 그런지 외적인 마감은 itch.io에 있는 2편보다 나아짐.
하지만 그 뿐, [b]조작감도 훨씬 열화됐고 레벨 디자인과 난이도 곡선도 구려졌다.[/b]

조작감은 미끌미끌하지, 피격 넉백 겁나 길지, 거기에 가시/낙사 즉사까지 3중으로 개같았다.
심지어 [b]함정 디자인도 겁나 많은데,[/b] 데미지가 장난스러운 것도 아니고 죽음 복구가 수월한 것도 아니어서 하나도 안 유쾌했다. 진짜 욕하면서 했음.

일례로, 후반부 보스 중 하나에 [b]아무 쓸 데 없는 어려운 지름길[/b]이 있었다.
세이브 포인트에서도 멀고, 가시 사이로 가야 하는 지형인 데다가, 보스에 두 번 맞으면 죽어서 겁나 트라이 박았음.
근데 알고 보니 바로 앞에 세이브 포인트 있고 바로 보스 트라이할 수 있는 거였더라.
대체 왜 지름길 만들어둔 거임??

거기에 [b]아이템도 밸붕[/b]이라 전투도 재미 없었음.
유령 소환이라든가, 공격력 2배라든가, 체력 낮을 때 공격력 4배라든가.
나쁜 조작감으로 간신히 적 피하면서 몇 대 때려서 죽이는 식으로 플레이하게 됨.

아무리 어려움 난이도라도 이렇게 맛없게 어려운 건 디자인이 구린 거라고 생각한다.
좋은 말이 나올 수가 없음...

＜昔買ってレビューを書いていなかった作品。通常のレビューより簡素＞

クリアまでの時間は短いが、サクサクと進むテンポの良い2D探索アクション。

システム周りのシンプルにまとまっていて「とにかくアクションを遊びたい」というこちらの欲求を高水準で応えてくれる。

アクションゲームとして肝心の操作性も良好で思い通りに動かせるため、難易度の高いボスも歯ごたえのある戦闘が楽しめる。

200円作品の中では破格のクオリティで、この面白さなら4倍まで払える。

なお本作を楽しんだ後に過去作も遊びたくなるが、SteamではMomodoraシリーズの最古は恐らくこれ。

Lovely short action platformer. The combat is mostly smooth, tho it is a bit of a learning curve that you can't move and attack at the same time. The art style is super cute and all the animations are really good. The bosses are simple but enjoyable. 100% recommend if you want to spend a day or two (personaly got 100% achievements and endings after a little more then 4 hours) playing a great game :)

Dora’s possibly the best thing you can get at the price tag.

Momo’s also short, cute and extremely merciless, on both the philosophical and gameplay fronts.

Take the aDorable, happily squeaking, jumping around mandragora – things that the protagonist mercilessly slaughters off one by one (unless on a pacifist run.) Or some of the friendly characters that can be killed-off for good during the story, or the general bleakness of the game’s world when the player takes the time to look around for lore.

Actually, even the demons from hell don’t look particularly evil. Weirdly enough, this does not create the sense of incompatibility and only adds up to the Momo’s gloom.

Speaking about the world, both graphics and music are gorgeous. It is absolutely stunning how much emotion can be conveyed by those tiny pixel-art creatures. Take that Unreal5. Controls are tight and responsive, and we’re talking here ‘three pixels too far and you’re dead’ tight. Consequently…

…the gameplay. It heavily relies on precision jumping and environmental obstacles that kill the protagonist in a single hit. The enemies are often placed around the locations in spots that make the player’s teeth hurt just from looking. Having said that, save shrines are, at times, located too far away from each other (and on one occasion, right after a mid-boss battle, but before enemies that one-hit-kill the protagonist {it’s not a challenging boss and said enemies can be effortlessly worked around with proper items though}), demanding a longer trek after being defeated. That said, difficulty is all over the place. There are longer sequences of nearly effortless walking interrupted by rooms that take several attempts to complete. With no save-spots in between. You get the idea.

Finally, there are the bosses. They are brutal and require pattern – learning. Or mostly effortless, depending on what items are equipped on the protagonist. Dora’s world is full of secrets and some of the items that can be found are quite overpowered.

If I was to genre-classify Momo, I’d say ‘soulslike’.

It ticks the major checkboxes. The minimal drip of the lore. The bleak world. Challenging, skill based difficulty. Well, okay, a soulslite. The items can modify the game quite a bit and there are only a few challenging sequences. Still, Momodora is soulsenough for the cute impression it initially makes. It’s also quirky and unique, and a good entry-point into the franchise if you haven’t already played Moonlight or Moonlit. And if you have, you’ll find yourself at home. An easy recommendation.

Отличное продолжение серии! Приятный и милый платформер на полтора часа. Собственно за это время вы вполне можете выбить все достижения в игре. Сама игра простенькая, но занятная. По сложности - куда проще 1 момодоры, но сложнее второй. В целом, боссы интересные, но из-за очень сильных предметов - на последней сложности сдуваются за 5 секунд битвы ( привет предмет на 400% атаки при малом здоровье в комбинации с призраком, повышение урона на которого распространяется).
Если будете закрывать игру на 100%, начните играть на высокой сложности для удовольствия. Все что не успеете выбить, выбьете на легкой сложности. Она...............ну на этой сложности вас просто никто не может убить. Чтоб вы понимали, первое прохождение на высокой сложности заняло у меня 1 час 24 минуты. А второе прохождение на легкой сложности с выбиванием достижений за спидран и прохождение игры без убийства врагов заняло у меня 16 минут. Вот и думайте.

This is one extremely cute and fun little game. I adore the simple artstyle, and the overall gameplay loop is addictive as well. Music is really calm and relaxing, items add a lot of variety to the gameplay. Story is also simple and cute. I personally think playing this after playing Momodora I and II is probably the best way to experience it, but it is definitely not necessary. Still, seeing all the nods to the previous games was really cool. I definitely can recommend it. I also can heavily recommend Momo I and II, I think they're worth giving a try, especially since they're free. Shame they're not on steam, but I still think they're worth picking up from itch.io.

Momodora III is a perfectly competently programmed 2D action platformer. It is not a metroidvania as the tags would have you believe, and as the series turned into after this. If you want a better version of Momodora I & II, then this is pretty much that. However, just like the first two games, stage design is really flat and boring and your moveset is pretty basic. Most bossfights can be bypassed by tanking damage and attack spam as well. Back when this game first released, and there weren't all that many games on this platform, this game was more acceptable, but the bar has been raised a lot higher on action platformers in the intervening time. Spend your money elsewhere.

first and foremost, what a great soundtrack, i was imediatly hooked on the game after joining the first map and having a blast with the music and the art style.

the gameplay mechanics can change a lot by using different itens, which can completly change the difficulty of the game. however, it doesnt have any deep mechanics, relying on the same simple attack or a charged attack. it's not bad per si, just simple (the bosses were prettty good tbh)

such a nice experience, i'd easily give 8/10, really solid 2d game with great pixel art, amazing soundtrack and a somewhat enjoyable action gameplay

and hey, brazilian devs are always nice to support

Sensaciones encontradas tengo. Más que nada porque es MUY corto y aunque vale como 1 dolar sentí pudo haber sido, like... más largo? un tris mas, tipo 4 horas habría sido mejor. Prácticamente te dura 1 hora o hora y media (incluso menos).

A pesar de esta duración es un juego que me encanto en lo que se refiere a la música, sprites, arte y parte del level design. Hay mucho encanto y personalidad de la mano del dev principal, rdein, así que lo recomiendo solamente porque es divertido mientras dura y relajante. Un plataformas lineal con algunos secretitos por el camino.

No mucho mas que decir supongo. Bonito y barato aunque demasiado corto.

Yet short, this is a fun Metroidvania that precedes the later major Momodora titles. Really short because you can finish the game in way under an hour, achievement hunting and the hard mode will make it more challenging and make that time for completion go higher. I beat this on normal mode myself, it's not so challenging for people used to hard games, but I still find it very enjoyable. The short completion time may also make you complete it multiple times, like I actually did. The story is good too and it has achievements, so you're gonna like to have another perfect game featured in your profile.

Mesmo curto, este é um Metroidvania divertido que precede os jogos maiores posteriores da série Momodora. Curto mesmo porque vocẽ pode zerá-lo em bem menos de uma hora, buscar as conquistas e o modo difícil farão o jogo mais desafiador e esse tempo para completar tudo irá subir. Eu zerei o jogo no modo normal, não é tão desafiador assim para quem está mais acostumado a jogos difíceis, mas ainda acho que dá para curtir bem. O tempo curto para completar pode te fazer rejogar múltiplas vezes, como eu até fiz. A estória é boa também e o jogo tem conquistas, então você ficará feliz de ter mais um jogo platinado aparecendo em seu perfil.

[h1] モモドラシリーズに入門するハードルは高くない[/h1]
8bitアートのゲームを愛する者にとって、モモドラシリーズを素通りすることはできない。
特に『月下のレクイエム』と『月影のエンドロール』、この二つはSteamでブラっとゲームを眺めて回るときどうしたって目に付く。極めて質の高いグラフィックとアニメーションを一瞥でもすれば、すぐさま詳細を確認せざるを得まい。
そこで初めて、このゲームがむかしから続くシリーズだと知るのだろう。
そしてシリーズ初期作がSteamに無いこと、さらにはその初期作が日本語化されていないこと、その現実に心底うなだれ、このシリーズはやめておくか……、と判断するプレイヤーは確かに存在すると思う。
コンテンツという列車の旅に途中から加わることに、自分のような一部の人間は躊躇いを覚えるものだ。可能ならば始発駅から景色を眺めたいと考えるのが人情というもの。

というわけで一大決心してモモドラシリーズに一から触れてみた次第。
結論からいうとモモドラ初期作１～３、なんと計¥200と二日で制覇できました。
これはつまりシリーズに途中参加するカロリーがとんでもなく低いということ。
理由としては初期の三作いずれもストーリーに起伏はなく、マップ自体も広くはないため。
マルチエンディングが存在しようと、ボリューム的にミニゲームと呼んで差し支えなく、商品として手に入れた３に至っても三時間そこらで全実績解除というお手軽さ（記すのが遅れたが１と２はどちらもフリーソフトである）。
鬼門であった翻訳問題も、テキスト量は多くなくとりたてて難解な言い回しもなかったため難なくクリア。シリーズものだからと身構えて損したぜ！

では何故、そのような小作から始まりここまでのコンテンツに至ったのかといえば、ストーリーやキャラが～、ではなくこのドットアートの見事さ、それがこのシリーズを象ったと言えよう。
事実、萌えマンガのデフォルメのようなビジュアルでアクションするのはそれだけで楽しく、なんと一部ボス戦も相手は同じデフォルメキャラときたもんだ。
両者ちんまいナリでありながら、笑みが溢れるくらい様々な挙動を見せてくれる。
どうして私がドット画に求めるツボをこまで理解しているのだ？

さて、履修は済ませたのでこれから待ちに待った、進化が目覚しい続編へと取りかかろうと思う（次作は月下のレクイエム）。
過去に登場したあのキャラはいるのだろうか、新しい武器はあるのだろうか、どんな敵が～ステージが～など期待する気持ちが尽きない。

Short, yes, but the care and passion that went into making this game oozes from every sprite, secret, and music track. Sorry for saying oozes. The items you can purchase do a great job of letting you customize your playthrough, and the price is almost ridiculously sensible. Under-priced, if anything. Although, I wouldn't really consider this a Metroidvania, so just keep that in mind.

Worth picking up if you have a free weekend afternoon and already played Reverie under the Moonlight and Moonlit farewell. Took me 55 minutes to see the credits.

The game is over a decade old, so judging it by modern metroidvania standards would be pretty unfair.
That said, there's a decent amount of *rough* stuff in the game:

* The screenshake when you attack is CRAZY. Feels like half the time, your motivation for not attacking a boss is so you can wait for the screen to stop shaking (otherwise it's impossible to tell what's going on)
* Falling / touching a spike oneshots you, Blasphemous 1-style. The platforming is pretty slippery too, so this was the main source of death for me.
* some attacks randomly one shot you, not sure if I was doing something wrong. A bomb would deal 1.5 hearts of damage sometimes, and other times it would take me from 100-0 hp, idk

Outside of that, it's a really cute game. The art is great, some of the NPCs are fun, music is solid. Boss design leaves a little to be desired: most bosses only have 1, sometimes 2 attacks.

This game should be more well known. In fact, all Momodora games need more love. If you don't know anything about Momodora don't worry, the game is perfectly playable by itself (leaving this here in case you don't read game descriptions). Amazing retro style sprites give the game a beautiful presentation. I got easily immersed in the world thanks to the environments, characters, and dialogs 😚👌 The item upgrades and exploration are the best things in the game. So many creative passive skills that complement your gameplay or flat-out change it. It's a pretty small experience, good if you are a functioning adult and don't have that much time or if you are a completionist. I personally love the way you can see the dev's journey in game development as you play every Momodora installment. If you don't know where to find the previous entries, I can't help you ;-) Now... Es un "metroidvania" gratis, ademas que los 2 primeros tambien lo son pero lamentablemente no estan en steam.
Es divertido, los sprites son re qt y la musica va muy bien con el juego, 100% recomendado.
