Well, it's an alright FMV point and click game. Mostly a casual experience cut too short, and it made the dumb choice so many other games of the era were doing with chapters/episodes. Unfortunately, nothing came of that and it now sits desisted. If you have it sitting in your library or are looking for a game in this genre to play, I'd pass unless you're really dying to play everything FMV related.

Such a pity that no further episodes were released. It's well executed, puzzles are logical and fun, acting appears above average and the Saw(film) like premise of the story is interesting. It's optimised and I encountered no bugs. Achievements are attainable without stressing yourself out.

It's short however and they could have easily added another half hr of gameplay per episode without it becoming boring.

Such a missed opportunity. With further episodes, longer episode length and a completion of the story it would genuinely have been a nice addition to the FMV/puzzle genre of games.

This FMV is extremely short, too short, but it showed great potential for a FMV series. It has all the right mechanisms that make a great FMV such as small puzzles that fit in with the scenes and story.

Was kann man zu diesem Spiel sagen außer: Schade...?

z.B. WTF? Warum so viele positive Rezensionen???

Das Spiel selbst ist ein mit echten Schauspielern gedrehtes Episoden-Thriller-Adventure-Game.

Immer wieder, nach 2, 3 Rätseln, die man ganz klassisch aus der Ego-Perspektive löst, ohne dabei Hände oder den Körper der Spielperson zu sehen, folgen kurze Video-Schnipsel, die die Story vorantreiben. Bei mir haben die immer am Start kurz Mikro-Lags gehabt, also erst Stottern, dann 2x-Geschwindigkeit und dann normalisiert, aber das ist wirklich das kleinste Problem. Die Qualität der schauspielerischen Leistungen ist ok und vor allem Geschmackssache, aber bei so wenig "Inhalt" kann man kaum mit den Charakteren schon eine enge Bindung aufbauen. Die Videoaufnahmen sind allerdings gestochen scharf und sehr gut handwerklich.

Das Spiel selbst kann man überhaupt nicht so nennen. 47 Minuten! In Worten: SIEBENUNDVIERZIG MINUTEN! Das ist ALL-Inklusive, also kurze Menüansicht, automatische Videos und eben das Spiel selbst. Wir reden also von ca. 30 Minuten INHALT! Die Rätsel selbst haben eine große Bandbreite von kinderleicht bis fair bis durchaus knackig. Mit etwas mehr Hirnschmalz/Luck hätte ich auch noch mal 10 Minuten schneller sein können. Dadurch, dass es so wenige Rätsel/Interaktionen gibt, kann man das Spiel auch eigentlich kaum relevant beurteilen.

Fazit: Ich finde es sehr schade. Ja, das Spiel hat Potential, ist gut gemacht, aber muss sich wirklich jemand wundern, dass ein Videogame, das vermutlich gegen GELD verkauft wurde, kein ökonomischer Erfolg war, wenn Episode 1 weniger als 1 Stunde (!) Inhalt mit sich brachte? Was war der Preis hierfür? (Steam zeigt nichts mehr an) 5 €? 10 €? Man, nicht mal 2 € fühlen sich in Ordnung an.

Liebe Entwickler: Ihr habt euch Gedanken gemacht, Mühe gegeben, gute Arbeit abgeliefert, aber hört bitte auf die KundInnen für Idioten zu halten. Und hört auf Episoden-Games zu entwickeln, wenn nicht die volle Finanzierung vorher abgesichert ist. Egal ob 3, 4, 6 oder 10 Episoden ursprünglich geplant waren, sorgt dafür, dass man wenigstens auf 3-5 Stunden Handlung kommt, dann könnt ihr auch nen 5-10 € verlangen. Diese Art von Unter-Unterhaltung dürfte wohl für seriöse, non-scam Games ziemlich einmalig sein.

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, obwohl ich durchaus gerne mehr gespielt hätte!

I suppose I should open up with it's been 6 years since episode one came out, so this game is probably dead with no episode two This is an immediate no for many players and its a fair reason to avoid this.

But, as a standalone story it's still pretty fun. It'll probably take a decent puzzle or escape room player a half hour to complete and focuses on a guy being held captive by an unknown kidnapper for unknown reasons. You solve puzzles, search for for clues and dodge occasional quick-time events in order to escape. Most are either simple to solve or follow a simple enough logic that they feel fair even to my tiny brain.

Ultimately, you'll need to ignore clues to the killers identity and the chapter about a cop investigating because... they have no relevance to the standalone plot. It's disappointing that we'll never see the rest of the story but I still had fun with it.

Man, a little bittersweet with this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay. The live action sequences with some puzzles mixed in is right up my alley. Sadly, there will never be anything more than the first episode.

The FMV sequences are great and of very high quality. There are a few puzzles in each chapter, nothing that will make you think too hard though. The first episode is split into 5 very short chapters. The whole game is maybe 30-40 minutes.

Nice approach to the Adventure games with it's FMV style but it also falls flat that the studio closed and will never have it's conclusion. Still fun for it's quick hour of gameplay + achievements. Just buy this on a heavy discount.

It’s unfinished. There’s a scene from the next episode at the end, but there’s no next episode. Can’t really recommend an abandoned episodic game with just the one first episode. It’s basically a fraction of a game, with most of it missing, that’s all you get.

Another victim of episodic gaming. Instead of releasing the game, they decided to release it in parts. Only problem is the first part didn't sell well, so they never even made a second one.
My thoughts on the game are irrelevant given that you can't even buy this game anymore.

Missing est une série épisodique qui en restera à son premier épisode, le studio ayant fermé ses portes. Du coup si vous êtes ici c'est probablement parce que vous avez ce jeu dans votre bibliothèque et vous vous demandez si ça vaut le coup de vous y intéresser.
Bon. En gros, Missing est un point & click où vous devez résoudre des énigmes entre deux scènes FMV (Full Motion Video, en gros il n'y a pas d'animation ou très peu, que des vidéos d'acteurs, et des photos des lieux où vous vous trouvez). Certaines énigmes sont intéressantes, la plupart simplistes, il y a assez peu d'objets interactifs, et l'ensemble est très très court (comptez une grosse demi-heure, allez, trois quart d'heure pour en faire le tour).
Pour l'histoire, on n'a du coup pas trop le temps d'apprendre grand-chose, même si on suppose qu'il s'agit en gros d'une enquête sur un serial-killer qui aime piéger ses victimes dans des "donjons" mortels dont ils peuvent s'évader s'ils résolvent les énigmes à temps. Le tout vécu sous deux points de vue, celui d'une victime, et celui d'un policier.

Dans l'ensemble je peux difficilement recommander Missing. Le jeu est trop court et trop simple, mais surtout son histoire à peine effleurée. A la limite, si la série avait été complète, ou au moins plus avancée, nous aurions pu plus apprécier son potentiel... mais en l'état, pas vraiment.
Si vous aimez le genre et avez une heure à perdre, pourquoi pas, mais sinon vous ne passerez pas à côté de grand-chose.

Short but interesting FMV game that was never finished. Definitely had a nice production value when it was made but I guess funding ran our and they never made more episodes. It mostly consists of QTEs and simple puzzles, nothing too hard. Also recognized one actor from 'La Femme Nikita' from the 90s.

Well, this is a short but well produced FMV, with good acting and quality cutscenes. The puzzles are nice and there’s some QTEs also thrown in the mix. Achievements are also an extra. It’s would be an easy recommendation; however, the game is no longer available for sale and there’re no more episodes coming. We’re left with just a teaser of what could’ve been a great season. Still, if you happen to have it on your backlog, then give it a try.

I have had this in my library for a few years now and only just got around to playing it. Had I played it at the time of purchasing it, it would have got a thumbs up no problem, which is why it has one now. Great episode ending as one might expect to see on any episode of a tv drama so why should this be any different?
I am however, a little annoyed as to being four years on and no episode 2 out and considering it has a very positive review from players that have bought and played the game, you would have thought that the devs would have pursued into following on with the game and giving us more as I, for one expected.. (why put episode 1 when you don't intend to make anymore)? Maybe they didn't have anymore storyline when they got this far? Maybe they got fed up halfway through? or maybe greed got the better of them and they just took the money and ran?? Surely they had more of the game made before the launch of episode 1? Zandel Media, I will be watching out for you before purchasing anymore games and making sure they aren't episodic!

Premier épisode prometteur d'une série ambitieuse qui ne connaîtra malheureusement aucune suite.
On y incarne un homme séquestré dans une cave qui tente de s'évader mais aussi un flic qui débute son enquête.

[i]MISSING[/i] alterne les séquences vidéos (dont quelques unes proposent des QTE) avec des phases point&click sur des plans fixes. Dans ces dernières, il s'agit de bien utiliser les objets qu'on aura récupéré dans notre inventaire et de résoudre une série de petites énigmes grâce aux indices découverts.

Le recours au FMV n'est ici pas qu'un simple gadget. C'est un choix judicieux qui contribue réellement à l'immersion et à l'ambiance réussie grâce à la grande qualité de la réalisation, du bon jeu des acteurs et des transitions réussies avec les phases point&click.

Le gameplay est instinctif d'autant plus que le nombre d'interaction est toujours réduit. Pour manipuler certains éléments de l'environnement, il faut parfois déplacer la souris en maintenant le clic.

Les énigmes sont certes très faciles mais ça semble compréhensible et acceptable si on considère que c'était le tout premier épisode de la série dans lequel il ne fallait pas dégoûter d'entrée toute une catégorie de joueurs.

Je suis moins convaincu par le recours aux QTE qui sont souvent trop rapides sans jamais sembler véritablement utiles.

On pourra aussi regretter qu'un jeu québécois ne soit disponible qu'en version anglaise sous-titrée français mais on peut imaginer que c'est une question de budget. D'ailleurs, honnêtement, ce n'est absolument pas un problème dans cet épisode.

Bref, c'est bien dommage que l'équipe de Zandel Média n'ait pas donné une suite à [i]MISSING[/i] qui aurait probablement pu devenir un grand jeu dans son genre. Probablement que le studio s'est montré trop ambitieux sans avoir les reins assez solides pour mener ce projet à terme. Reste donc cette courte expérience de moins d'une heure pour profiter de la qualité du travail effectué et méditer sur la difficulté de publier un jeu ambitieux quand on est un petit studio indépendant.

Usually FMV games have bad acting. This one is an exception, the acting is well done and the puzzles are well thought out. Not only are the puzzles interesting they are actually fun to complete. The game is short as are most games of this kind. If you are expecting hours upon hours of game time then look else where.

Negative reviews of this game are generally the buyers fault for not knowing what they were buying. So if you are a clued up and even partially intelligent individual you will know that the puzzles will not be sudoku on steroids, that is to say they won't be incredibly difficult. You will also be aware that games of this type are usually completed in one (at most) two sessions. Keep these things in mind when deciding to purchase and at what price point to purchase.

The sad news is no future episodes have been released and they don't look likely to ever come into existence. I would buy an episode 2.

This is such a hard game to review / recommend as the game is rather outstanding, the acting is ery good, the overall quality is well above what I would expect but on the other hand the game / episodes will never be finshed due the fact the company went bankrupt after this was released. If you enjoy FMV games and this is reduced to under £2 give it a try as it is a very high standard game but will never b finished.

I was disappointed to find out that this game is discontinued, but I guess that's just getting so common with episodic adventure games of independet companies... Shame, really, because MISSING shows a very impressive effort.

It's quite short but I'd still recommend it on a massive sale perhaps, you'll never have any idea how the story is going on (and honestly, there's just a tiny bit of story in this 45 mins - 1 hr game) but this piece of game has a nice atmosphere to it, cool & light puzzles which are casually challanging, and it's a nice throwback to the old days of the FMV games.

Totally worth a try.

El primer episodio de Missing: An Interactive Thriller es una buena experiencia que mezcla el point & click con las nuevas películas interactivas y una historia bien llevada que logra colocar al usuario al filo del asiento e incluso te hace sentir como el personaje principal, esto es de lo que más se debe ovacionar, pues logra algo casi imposible al ser una experiencia en tercera persona mostrando un personaje con cara y facciones propias.

La única cosa que me dio mal sabor de boca fue que la historia es cortada con hachazo en un momento primordial de la misma, esto podría enojar a más de uno, espero que en los próximos episodios sepan dónde cortar la historia para que no se dé ese final brusco.

C'est la 3ière fois depuis près de vingt ans que je joue à un jeu du genre film interactif, avec de vrais acteurs, et je dois dire que je suis agréablement surpris. J'ai trouvé MISSING: Un Thriller interactif - Épisode One vraiment bien fait avec un bon jeu d'acteur avec une ambiance qui fait que l'immersion est totale. J'ai vraiment apprécié le premier épisode. Ce jeu a probablement la transition la plus transparente entre les scènes coupées et le gameplay que je n’ai jamais vu. Aucune carte de collection n'est offerte, mais 17 succès pas facilement gagnés. Malheureusement, les chiffres de ventes que j'ai vus sembler indiquer qu'il n'y aura pas un deuxième épisode. Mais bon, je le recommande.

Missing is a single episode in what was supposed to be a multi-episodic game where a man is seemingly kidnapped and made to believe his family is in danger. The story in this episode is too short to be completely immersive but it set itself up to be quite interesting if more episodes had been released.

It seems this game has been abandoned by its developers (presumably for financial reasons), but I would still recommend this game for anyone interested in adventure games, in particular FMV adventure games.

It seems this series will never continue beyond this single pilot episode, but as FMV games go Missing had some promising ideas and a generally good presentation, particularly the way the puzzles are integrated in a photo-realistic way with the movie segments.

As others have said, the length is quite short and the experience entirely linear, but I personally think it's more problematic that very little of the overall premise is revealed and there's never a sense you're in any immediate danger, even darting through a room full of bombs exploding just a few feet away.

The story feels vageuly like the early Saw films, in hindsight maybe too much so, with an average guy forced to do puzzles by an unknown kidnapper while in a secondary plot a weathered police detective investigates the disappearance of the man and possibly his family. Unlike the Saw movies, however, there's only brief violence and nothing at all extreme. In fact I'd say this would barely warrant a PG-13 rating. I do feel the cast did their jobs well, but they really weren't given much to work with.

Random observation: Only in Canada would the boiler room of an abandoned building be so clean and well lit.

Missing - Episode 1 is no longer available for purchase, so if you don't already own it you're basically out of luck. There's probably play throughs of it on YouTube if you're curious. However, if you're looking for something similar on Steam I'd highly recommend Late Shift, another modern interactive movie, but one with a healthy amount of plot branching, a bit more style, and, most importantly, definitive endings.

Ist ein FMV (Full Motion Video) Game, mit guten Rätseln, und Quick Time Events.

Wie der Titel schon verrät, man wird Entführt und muss entkommen.

Die Schauspieler sind gut und der Ton in Ordnung.

Für alle Errungenschaften braucht man aber Hilfe (Guides sind vorhanden), aber die Rätsel sind auch ohne Guide macht bar.

Spieldauer ca. zwischen 30 und 60 min.

Leider kommen keine weiteren Teile mehr. Zandel Media wurde 2016 geschlossen.

It was fun, but as the other chapters apparently will never be released, it ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. It's basically:

In a room, solve some puzzles
See a video clip
In another room, solve more puzzles
See a video clip
Rinse and repeat

And, I mean, that's not bad (to me anyway.) I played a lot of FMV point and clicks/puzzle games in the 90s, so I don't mind the cheese. I also don't mind the length. I mean, I wish more than one chapter was included, but hey, what can you do? It doesn't even look like it's for sale on Steam anymore. Which is good, if only because you're buying something you'll never be able to finish.

I mean, I'm sure it's hard to do an episodic game. I can certainly say I don't care for them. (I'll get them on the cheap once all chapters are out). I kinda feel that had they released this as one games with all the chapters, it would have done better (and still be for sale). I have a feeling they might have been banking on sales of the first chapter to have the money to complete the others. I dunno...

Sad, because it isn't a bad game.

Short and unfortunately dead. It seemed pretty interesting, but ends abruptly after 30 minutes of gameplay. While I hope that the devs come back and finish this, I can't recommend a game where 30 minutes is considered enough content for one episode.

Missing: An Interactive Thriller is an enjoyable FMV game. It's not quite Contradiction or Her Story quality, but it's a well paced and directed short story over its 30~ min runtime. You can easily 100% Missing in 40 minutes, which I know is a turn-off for some people. Good thing you can't read this review and then buy the game since it's taken off the Steam Store for purchase.

Missing is unfortunately one of those episodic games that got snubbed before a sequel or ending ever happened to see the light of day. Am I disappointed by that? Sure. Does it make Missing a bad game or not worthwhile? Not really. It's still a cool concept executed quite well. I also like that the only thing "missing" after completing the game is the story's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending. Zandel Media, the masters of irony. It's a shame Missing couldn't make them enough money to keep it afloat. Oh well, it's still a recommendation from me.

我所接触过的第一款电影类解密游戏，写了是第一章，所以游戏内容比较短

因为全电影的氛围，玩家的代入感会比较高，谜题的插入的角度也还不错，不显得突兀

但是谜题本身的内容偏粗糙

游戏工作室已经解散，后续章节也宣告破产，不得不说是遗憾

It'll annoy the hell out of you like it did me...also no current plans to finish or continue what was started so there we go...a good but totally incomplete and pointless episode. If they actually create the rest of this i'll happily retract my review as i did enjoy playing through the short snippet of this episode.

MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One - кинематографичная адвенчура. Буквально кинематографичная - все, кроме непосредственно паззлов - отснятое видео. В принципе ничего особо нового, настоящее кино было в адвенчурах еще в 90-ых. В паззлах ничего особого, сюжет кажется неким подобием Пилы... Кажется потому что MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One - это именно первый эпизод. И он проходится за 1 час, а кто-то минут за 40 может пройти, не сомневаюсь в этом. И судить по этому часовому эпизоду трудно. И когда выйдет второй (прошло 2 года с момента выхода первого) неизвестно. И в общем... Очень мало, ничего выдающегося, но мне понравилось. Надеюсь второй эпизод будет полноценным, а первый - всего-лишь вступление (хотя что-то мне подсказывает, что второго эпизода мы уже никогда не увидим).

Insofern könnte es zwar nett sein, die allzu kurze Episode auszuprobieren, aber leider, liebe Leser, scheint es eh' nicht mehr zu kaufen zu sein.

Der Clou an dem an sich (bisher) ziemlich einfachen Point & Click ist, dass alle oder die meisten Szenen echte Filmschnipsel mit echten Schauspielern sind (jede Wette). Spielfilmszenen wechseln sich also mit Standfotos ab, in denen man Punkte anklicken kann und somit, wie bei solchen Spielen üblich, Objekte aufnehmen oder einsetzenkann. Ein Inventar gibt es auch.

Die Rätsel waren bis dahin einfach. Schieberätsel, finde den versteckten Code, und ähnliches.

Die Geschichte selbst fand ich (soweit man sie erahnen kann) nicht ganz so toll. Sie erinnert an den Film Saw. Jemand erwacht gefesselt in einem Raum, in den er offenbar von einem Sadisten gesperrt worden ist, der ein Spiel mit ihm treibt, indem er ihn Rätsel lösen läßt, um aus seiner lebensgefährlichen Lage sich zu befreien (wie eine Katze, die mit der Maus spielt). Die Polizei ist dem ganzen wohl auch auf der Spur, konnte in dieser Episode aber noch nicht viele Fortschritte machen.

Egal. Das Projekt wurde offenbar eingestampft und begraben. Ich habe keine Ahnung mehr, wieviel ich für dieses 40-minütige Vergnügen gezahlt habe, aber alles über 50 Cent wäre für dieses Demo zuviel. Wenn es ein fertiges Spiel geworden wäre, sähe es schon ganz anders aus.

TLDR: Episode 1 only of abandonned episodic series.

Cutscenes are too long, this is not made for tv movie people. Should had featured more gameplay

Creative in blending the still images and photos and videos in some improvised game engine similar to Phantasmagoria 2. The Sierra offering was more impressive in that they had still animations for actors on screen and you could click and move curtis around. Whereas this is more a series of instances with cutscenes in between and you never really feel like you are in a proper point and click adventure game more like a hidden object FMV hybrid.

Minigames vary between solving hidden object puzzles, do QTE, solve tumbling blocks puzzles and sometimes even brute force rather complex combinations. On a few occasions I had to look at a guide as if they just forgot to include a hint for it (e.g. the 4 number electronic keypad combination at the end)

There is only 40 minutes of game before it ends and all you get narratively is an extremely superficial cop story about wanting to stop what I presume is a murderer, and another character is stuck in a SAW-like situation, with stuff written on walls, and traps to torment him and whatnot.

I would had liked to see the rest of this series but the developpers just dissolved the company and moved on due to the sales not being to expectations so I will remove this title for declutter. It does not shine in any special way that would make that 40 minutes really worth holding on to, this is a pretty forgettable and derivative point & click showcase demo from a half competent film making crew with thick canadian french accents but the execution as a game was hit and miss.

Its difficult to pull off an FMV, point and click, puzzler when not being ironic, self-referential, or playfully humorous. This is an abortive attempt at a glossy, serious and professional "escape room" type of game.

Clearly shot in Montréal, they possibly blew their budget hiring Roy Dupuis for his 1 minute of screen time.

MISSING is a bastard child of the oh so brief '90s Full Motion Picture Laser Disc games era.

A blend of classic Saw-like plot with classic Point and Click gameplay and puzzles - nothing extraordinary, but all competent enough. Where it stands out is that absolutely everything is in HD video, which makes it uniquely retro and new at the same time.

Unfortunately you won't play it or any of its sequels. The studio went down under after dissapointing sales and a too high budget for production - I'm not entirely surprised given that for example they had a fully authentic looking police patrol vehicle for a scene that lasts about 2 seconds and isn't much relevant to the plot.

If you have the game in your library - it's still worth playing just so you can see how well the video and gameplay blend together, MISSING's one and onlzy achievement before it joined the Laser Discs in the cruel garbage bins of history.

It's like one of those point-and-click flash games from back in the day but with actual film - minimal content but you're only doing it to waste a few minutes anyway and it succeeds in that. Don't expect a life-changing experience or mindblowing gameplay.

Had it been a full game (it's just one episode, development has ceased permanently), it would've still been your average 'escape the room' point-and-click, but maybe the cutscenes would've helped it along.

Missing is a short FMV action/adventure game which reminds me of similar FMV games from the 90's, however this game is well put together.

The story was pretty good, and had a similar vibe to SAW.

Sadly, the group behind Missing were only able to produce one episode.
Play it if you can get it cheap.

The developer is gone, so the game is dead in the water. However, episode 1 is a fun interactive adventure that will take roughly 40 minutes to an hour to complete. I really enjoyed it, and I usually like these sort of games, so I would recommend it. If you like puzzle solving and interactive stories with a criminal twist, check this out. Who knows, maybe one day it will get a continuation if enough interest is drummed up.

One hour walkthrough is hilarious but so unforgettable (a little sneaky peep on the guide :D for 3 achievements).
I was hoping that more episodes would come out as the developer said stay tuned for more...but it disappeared :(

Finished in just over 30 minutes, this was going to be a series but what you're left with is something akin to a teaser.

It's not bad either, the filmed sections blend well with the gameplay considering the tiny budget and the gameplay although incredibly simple (find the object, moving tile puzzles, QTEs) somehow it moves at a relatively brisk pace and doesn't really get boring.

The story left me curious although I really wasn't that invested. It would have been interesting to see where the story would have gone and whether it could have held our attention over multiple episodes but all we're left with is a bunch of empty questions.

5/10 - not bad but not great either. With very little replay value, no future episodes and no way to buy this first episode direct from Steam this is one curiosity that is probably not worth delving into.

The reason for not recommending this game is simple. The developer is bankrupt so no further episodes will be produced. So if you buy it, you'll be left with an incomplete story that you'll never know the ending to. Otherwise it would have gotten a thumbs up, since I like these kind of games even if they're short and have somewhat simple and tedious puzzles. If you crave something FMV you're better off playing 'Her Story', 'Contradiction' or some of the other FMV games on offer on Steam.

　Davidはどこかの地下室に両手を手錠で拘束された状態で目が覚める。周囲を見回すと、部屋の唯一の出口である扉には "Play With Me" とスプレーで書き殴られた文字、その下には彼の家族を写した写真が貼られている。叫んでも周囲に人がいる様子はない。ふと目を見やると天井から鍵がぶら下がっていることに気付く。それも両手が拘束されているとギリギリ届かない位置に。

　ゲームとしてはMystのように実写を取り込んだクリック型のアドベンチャーゲームです。表現している方向性としては、いきなり主人公が監禁された状態から始まるサスペンス調。普段から私は海外ドラマや映画をよく見るので、このゲームをとても気に入りました。ですが、結論から述べると[b]続編が発売される可能性は極めて薄い[/b]です。製作会社のZandel Mediaが倒産していたようで、現に[url=https://www.facebook.com/missingthegame/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf]法的な理由[/url]によりストアページでゲームを購入することすらできなくなっているのですから。

　部屋の中には犯人が用意したと思われるパズルのピースが散りばめられており、それらのパズルを解いていくことで次の部屋に進めるようになっています。これと同時に、Davidが誘拐されたと思われる車の衝突事故現場に切り替わり、現場検証としてLambert刑事が到着し手掛かりを探るシーンが描かれます。このドラマでよく取られるザッピング手法が、よりドラマを見ているという印象を強く後押ししているように思います。Episode Twoの伏線を節々から感じずにはいられません。

　ゲームとしては簡易な部類に入ります。所要時間からも察する通り、パズルやQTEの総数が少ないことからリプレイ性はないのかもしれませんが、Davidが出口へ近づけば近づくほど、嘲笑うかのように彼の家族に犯人の魔の手が忍び寄っていく描写がなされていく脚本には大変惹きつけられるものがあります。やっと密室から抜け出たと思った先に不意に鳴り出す電話とか、定番過ぎて大好きです。

　何故Davidが監禁拘束されていたのか、犯人は誰なのか、家族の行方はどうなったのか、犯人への足取りをどう追うのか、といったココから盛り上がっていく場面がEpisode Two以降で描かれようとしていただけに続編が出ないというのは残念でなりません。この気持ちはシーズン1で終了したFlash Forwardを見ていた時と通ずるものがありました。どこか引き取って続きを作ってくれないかなぁ、すごくモヤモヤする。続編が出ることの祈りを込めて、オススメとして記録しておきます。

¥ Не такая уж и плохая игра актеров. От инди квеста ожидал намного худшего, но актеры тянут...

¥ Игра на русском языке (субтитры).

¥ Игра заканчивается на самом интересном месте с надеждой на продолжение.
¥ Разработчики официально отказались от разработки второго эпизода.
¥ Очень очень короткая продолжительность игры. С видео роликами - полчаса геймплея. Без видеороликов - десять минут.
¥ Очень простые головоломки.
¥ Слабая подача сюжета.

Наверное даже хорошо, что разработчики решили не продолжать развивать игру. По одному эпизоду в год, где действия на полчаса, наврятли затянули бы в себя с головой. Я не хотел начинать прохождение пока не выйдут все эпизоды, но т.к., ничего нового ожидать уже не стоит на свой страх решил рискнуть. Унылый квест с большим бездарно растраченным потенциалом. Не рекомендую.

How does one review a case such as this? The game itself is solid, using FMV to tell an interesting enough story with some basic room-escaping puzzles thrown in to keep things engaging for the player. Unfortunately, there is no episode 2 to this saga because the studio closed down a while ago. It's a shame, since this was a really interesting setup, but since the ending still sort of felt self-contained, I would still recommend it if the game is ever put up for sale again one day.

クリック系アドベンチャーゲーム。いわゆる脱出ゲームに近い。まあ実際建物から脱出するのが目的であるし。
最初の部屋を抜けたら次の部屋、というように、ステージが切り替わるタイプの脱出ゲームかな。

ほんの1時間足らずでクリアしてしまうボリューム、ほとんどのプレイヤーは詰まることすらなく終えてしまうであろう難易度。
にも関わらずプレイ中に得られる高い没頭は、きわめて高いクオリティで演じられる実写ムービーパート、グラフィックデザインの妙であろうと思います。
気がつくと両腕を拘束された状態で地下室らしき場所に監禁されている主人公。右腕にはスライドパズル式のチェーンが、左腕にはカギ付きチェーンがかけられており、そこから見える扉には主人公の家族写真が貼り付けられている‥という、めちゃんこ気になる感じでゲームが始まる。
同時に、行方不明となった主人公を捜索する老刑事側のパートもあるなど、シナリオや構成の求心力は抜群。

ついに爆弾をかいくぐり脱出を遂げた主人公、果たして家族は無事なのか。いったい犯人の目的は何なのか。と、非常に気になるところでエピソード1が終了。エピソード2につづく。
冒頭にも触れたけれど、短いプレイ時間でとても大きな満足感を得られる素晴らしいゲームで、続編の発売が非常に楽しみなところであります。

まぁデベロッパーの資金ショートで続編なしのまま幕を閉じてしまうという、本当に悲しい、プレイヤーにとってもデベロッパーにとっても真の意味でのバッドエンドとなってしまったわけなんですけどね‥。
いつかどこかでどうにかして続編が見られたらなあ、という気持ちでいっぱいです。
