A cheerfully oddball artstyle can't save this surrealist adventure from getting tangle in its own sense of weird. Point and click puzzle are famously obtuse, but it's even harder when the world you're in has no sense of logic.

Un jeu d'aventure en point n' click au gameplay traditionnel avec une très belle esthétique & design qui fourmille de petits détails & de petites animations un peu partout, une bande-son onirique très bien réalisé, de très bons dialogues en anglais & des sons d'ambiances qui rend la ville très vivante...

On y incarne une jeune femme insomniaque & pseudo-amnésique...un plot de base intrigant donc...
Mais l'histoire est confuse & obscure, on est dès le début complètement perdu sans savoir quoi faire & dans quel but...
On est obligé à l'instar de son héroïne d'utiliser le carnet du jeu qui est une liste de choses à faire sans aucunes corrélation & la carte pour aller d'un point d’intérêt à un autre juste parce-que...
Si rajoutes des énigmes par endroits tout aussi vagues pour avoir certains objets pour résoudre d'autres sans lien & y essayer divers combinaison d'objets...& on tournera en rond jusqu'à débloquer un autre lieu, perso ou objets après avoir tout examiner (heureusement il y a un système de 'hotspot')

Dommage car tout y est bien réussi mais l'histoire fouillis & sans queue ni tête nous perd rapidement quand on n'y reste pas bloqué..le tout avec une fin tout aussi abrupte...

It's a careful "yes" or "maybe" from me. I liked Memoranda's art style, voice acting and many other artistic or impressionist aspects, but found the gameplay and its puzzles very illogical and un-intuitive, so I resorted to a guide pretty much the whole way through and just tried to enjoy the story. Not the best kind of Point n' Click game, but not the worst either.

I'd like to leave a "neutral" review. Nice art and atmosphere. Puzzles aren't that interesting or necessarily very logical. Quite quickly you turn to the "trying everything with everything", why else would someone ingest petrol? There's still some bugs that aren't so nice. World changing is arbitrary at times. Sometimes you give the correct solution but the game doesn't accept it because you need to have triggered the solution by interacting with specific things. Sometimes you give a partial correct solution by selecting the right item before combining it and the game tells you you're flat out wrong without hinting you're partially there. I found the ending a bit underwhelming, not great if you like deducing information, because the logic is either a bit loopy or the small puzzles are exceedingly simple. Also why can't I give back the elephant picture or tell the lady where her cat is :( some closure is missing. 5/10 (closer to a 6 than a 4).

Nicely drawn and vocalized, but completely aimless adventure where nothing makes sense, no item interaction, no dialog, nothing, also unpolished in certain areas, opera singer is one nice example where you have to mute your speaker just to get over with meaningless dialog and interaction.

Bad execution with nice artists and strapped "based on" label to try to get extra sales.

On top puzzles are completely uninteresting and most can only be solved with a walktrough, with zero inspiration as well.

Overall 0/5. No amount of "pretty pictures" can help it rise below basic Point and Click genre parameters.

Any point and click adventure enthusiast should stay away from this trap.

[i]Memoranda[/i] is a very strange game about a young lady suffering from severe insomnia who has lost her name and now is searching around the town for it. It's hard to rate as there are up to three layers that influence the overall experience and each of them has its ups and downs.

1) The story is, according to the store page, inspired by [i]Haruki Murakami[/i] and his short stories. I can't relate to it much as I am not familiar with his work. The game felt to me very surreal with hints of magic realism making it somewhat hard to comprehend. After one bizarre encounter following another, I stopped trying to understand it and just went with the flow. We encounter a lot of various characters, some of them are ordinary and some of them are quite un-ordinary. Interacting with them is mostly fun, but in the end, it doesn't lead anywhere. At least for the main heroine because I still don't know what to make off of the ending.

2) The graphics are hand-drawn, rather unique but still pretty. The soundtrack is also very specific but suits the mood of the game. The voice acting is… fine, again in terms of the surreal feeling. My only problem was with the voice of our heroine as she lisps and it was somewhat unsettling.

3) As for gameplay, it's a standard point-and-click adventure game. We have inventory, a logbook, and a map at our disposal. We have to go around the town, collect and combine items, and help our fellow citizens with their burdens. There are also puzzles to be solved. Although they can seem quite obscure, they are still logical. If they prove too challenging you can use a built-in hint system. Through the game, one can easily become stuck as most situations are resolved by nonsensical solutions so don't be surprised when you end up going in circles and tearing your hair out in despair from [i]how the hell was I supposed to know that?[/i] tantrum.

[i]Memoranda[/i] isn't perfect and I struggled with it, but I suppose I will recommend it. If you are a lover of adventure games you can enjoy it, even more, if your mind is open to the surreal, absurd, and nonsensical storytelling.

After encountering the first puzzle in "Memoranda", I was excited: finally, a game with built-in hints! But that probably was the last nice thought I had about the game. I got stuck in the main story line so many times, there are no useful hints for it. For example, I picked up flour from the bakery and the character thought that she can finally bake doughnuts for the little girl. Okay, good, I know what to do! But there is no kitchen or any other place suitable for that. What I forgot during my long break from playing this game, that I already gave a doughnut to this girl. So the flour is actually for something else. And why do some characters repeat their requests all the time even if they were already fulfilled? I got really tired of going through the same places again and again hoping that something has changed. Eventually, I had to look in a walkthrough several times to finish the game. I love Murakami stories and I enjoyed references to them in the game but I did not enjoy the gameplay.

+ отличная музыка
+ отличная озвучка (правда на английском)
+/- можно загрузить русификатор отдельно
+ сюжет - по рассказу знаменитого писателя, и отлично переложен на игру.
+ игра не короткая, на несколько часов прохождения.
- снимаем балл за то что к сожалению без руководства по прохождению не пройти, и до 10% действий придется подсматривать.
Я не вижу особой проблемы с тем что необходимо в п-н-к играх подсматривать в руководство, а во всем остальном - игра отличная. В конце концов, это бытовая фантастика Мураками, где вы там логику собрались искать...

光看画风就秒杀文青的指向点击冒险，讲述失眠女孩在充满人形动物的小镇里寻回自身名字的奇幻故事。咖啡馆的躁动和面包店的富饶充斥着恶臭的小资情调，沙滩上幻化为鱼的残疾少年玩弄一把小清新的自由美好。缺陷是解密缺乏逻辑推理，依靠太多天马行空的想象力，不看攻略很难推进。人物塑造和意向取用大量致敬村上春树，不过我不是粉丝就不乱解析了。没有跌宕起伏的剧情，没有绞尽脑汁的烦恼，单纯感受这样一个平和静谧的海滨小镇、一种悠然自得的生活方式，确实是款令人远离焦虑情绪的愉快小品。

So bad it's embarrassing.

The world building doesn't make any sense, the story doesn't make any sense, the dialogue is totally disjointed and never makes any sense... In short, this is some of the worst writing ever perpetrated.
Accordingly, none of the puzzles or inventory uses make any sense, and they all form an endless chain of non sequiturs.
This is probably the worst puzzle design I've seen in over 4 decades of adventure games.
No rhyme or reason to anything.

Easily a thick thumb down.

To which I could add a subpar interface (requiring massive keyboard input in what is supposed to be a point n' click,) rotten animation (of otherwise pleasing graphics,) some illegible texts, and a main voice actress who can't articulate her words (making subtitles a must.)

I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this game. The graphics are nice, but some of the puzzles make no sense and other are way overthought. The story itself is silly and characters flat and illogical. There are some minor bugs, that would be charming in a cool game, but are a bit annoying here.

It's not a terrible game. We bought it on a very discounted sale and I suggest you do the same.

We rushed last 25% of the game with a walk-through just to see the ending.

It's an acquired taste. Interesting puzzles, magical atmosphere and many different characters which don't have much to say yet still add to the magical aspect of the game world. Inspiration of Murakami can be felt to some degree I must say.

I really wanted to like Memoranda, but like many veteran point & click enthusiasts, I just couldn't make the absurdist jump.

I'm not talking the occasional "Rubber-chicken with a pulley in the middle" - a pulley's a pulley and will find its use, but the sheer leaps this game wants you to take made a walkthrough a necessity. At that point, I wasn't so much getting an occasional hint as letting the walkthrough do the driving via speed-run. For all its artistic graphics & musical counterpoints, II was about as emotionally invested in this game as folding laundry. You're supposed to care she hasn't a name, but even with all the ties to emotion in the trailer <the man who has no wife ,the soldier, the runner w/o feet> the trailers play-up character connections that get dropped as 30 second interactions and... there's simply no urgency to do anything. Nothing moves the plot.

I'm 2.7hrs in (w/ walktrhough) and at this point, I'm going to uninstall and leave the rest unfinished.
Sorry - if you like LucasArts, Daedaelic, & Wadjet Eye titles, this one's probably not going to hit the mark... So... get it on sale, because $14.99 for this def isn't worth it.

자신의 이름을 자꾸 까먹는 여주인공 Mizuki 가 불면증까지 겹쳐서 고통받는 와중에, 자기의 잠자리를 자꾸 방해해서 불면증의 원인을 제공하는 왠 늙은 난쟁이를 내쫓고 이름을 다시 알아내고자, 마을 곳곳을 돌아다니며 기묘한 사람들을 만나 그들의 고민을 해결해 주는 방식으로 진행되는 포인트 앤 클릭 게임이다. 방금 쓴 문장의 중간 부분이 약간 이상하게 들릴 수 있다면 정상인데, 이 게임의 기반이 무라카미 하루키의 초현실적 단편 소설들에서 영감을 받았기 때문에 게임을 진행하다 보면 기본 상식으로는 이해하기 힘든 사건들 / 인물들 / 오브젝트들이 곳곳에 등장하기 때문이다. 안타깝게도 이 글을 쓰는 기준 무라카미 하루키의 소설들을 단 하나도 읽어 본 적이 없는 문외한이라 얼마나 영향을 받았는지는 자세히 적을 수 없지만, 다행히 게임을 이해하는 데는 (정확히 말하자면, 스토리의 흐름을 이해한다는 게 아니라 도대체 무슨 일이 일어나는지 1차원적으로 이해하는 것을 의미한다) 배경지식이 별로 필요하지 않기 때문에 위에서 말한 단편 소설들을 읽지 않아도 게임을 진행하는 데에는 문제가 없다. 포인트 앤 클릭 게임들에 비현실적이거나 기묘한 비주얼이 나오는 건 평범한 일이여서 사실 이 게임도 다른 기이한 포인트 앤 클릭 게임들을 하는 것처럼 너무 이성적으로 접근하지 말고 뇌를 가볍게 한 뒤 즐기면 그럭저럭 재미있게 즐길 수 있다.

다만, 위에서 말한 기이한 게임들에 비교해서 호불호가 갈릴 수 있는 점은 논리적이지 못한 몇몇 퍼즐들인데, 정확히 말하자면 게임 진행 방식 중 정상적인 사고 말고 다른 방식으로 생각해야 진행할 수 있는 구간들이 몇몇 존재해서 평가들을 보면 이러한 구간들 때문에 비추천이 박혀 있는 모습을 볼 수 있다. 개인적으로는 이러한 리뷰들을 미리 보고 게임을 진행하였기 때문에, 공략을 한 쪽에 펴 놓고 이를 참고하면서 진행하여서 한 구간에서 오랫동안 막힐 때마다 머리를 비우고 공략을 참조했지만, 만약 포인트 앤 클릭을 하면서 개연성이 없거나 황당무계한 퍼즐들을 싫어한다면 이 게임도 좋지 않은 인상을 남길 가능성이 크다.

그럼에도 불구하고 추천을 준 이유는 게임 내 기묘한 인물들 및 사건들이 마음에 들어서 그런데, 초현실적인 게임들을 좋아하는 입장으로써 게임 내 예측할 수 없는 오브젝트들이 등장하는 게임 전개에 대한 거부감이 없고, 여기에 이러한 오브젝트들이 현실 속에 나올 것 같지 않을수록 좋아하는 개인적인 취향 때문이다. 또한 게임 내 나오는 인물들이 모두 공통점이 없는 건 아닌데, 크게 보면 게임 내 나오는 주 등장인물들 모두 무언가를 잃어간다 / 잊어버린다는 특징이 있어 (예를 들면, 여주인공의 경우 당연히 이름을 잊어버리고 있고, 게임을 진행하며 나오는 "동물로 변하는 인간들" 은 자신의 인간 시절 모습을 버리고 동물로 변한다는 특징이 있다.) 이 게임이 어떠한 방식으로 망각을 표현하고 있는지 어느 정도 느낄 수 있다. 물론, 이 점을 안다고 해서 스토리의 전개 흐름을 완벽히 이해할 수 있다는 건 아니여서, 너무 논리적으로 생각하지 말고 이야기에 몰입하는 걸 권장한다...

결론적으로, 게임의 진행 방식 중 완벽히 이해가 가지 않을 만한 구간이 존재하며 스토리의 진행 방향도 완벽하게 이해가 가지 않을 확률이 높지만, 짧고 기묘한 포인트 앤 클릭 게임을 해보고 싶을 때 하면 나쁘지 않을 게임이라 일단은 추천. 발매된 지 시간이 좀 지난 게임이라 할인률이 높은 편이고, 장르 특성상 막히면 공략을 보고 빠르게 답답한 구간들을 넘길 수 있으니 해보고 싶다면 할인을 많이 할 때 구매해서 한 번 해보는 걸 추천한다.

여담) 그래도 게임의 비주얼은 취향에 맞아서 시각적으로 나쁘다고 생각된 부분이 없었고, 게임 내 상호작용 가능한 물체들을 명확하게 확인할 수 있는 기능이 게임 내 탑재되어 있어 편의성 부분은 괜찮다.

I was charmed, if a little befuddled, by Memoranda, an arthouse point-and-click adventure from 2017 based on the short stories of Haruki Murakami.

In Memoranda, we follow a directionless 25-year old insomniac, separated from her husband, who experiences frequent episodes where she forgets her own name and nothing else. While over the course of the game we do end up resolving the insomnia and the forgetfulness, we are in no hurry to get there. The rest of the game is comprised of loosely connected oddball characters, bizarre ideas, and story fragments lifted out of the pages of the myriad short stories that inspired the creators. In this game, we meet a baker obsessed with Wagner, track down a man-sized elephant being hidden by a pasta-obsessed psychiatric patient, visit a puppeteer who exclusively watches hundred-year-old disaster footage on black-and-white television, turn a man into a fish (much to his delight), and learn a magic spell from one hundred and ten singing frogs. If you are expecting any sort of explanation or answer for any of these things, well too bad, because you aren't going to get any, and the overall effect definitely feels like you are walking around in Alice's Wonderland or a crazy person's head.

It's a beautiful journey, though, as the background art in Memoranda is colorful, memorable, and gorgeous, and the whole game is accompanied by a lovely soundtrack that does a great job of setting the mood. The game is fully voice acted, though some of the acting is a little hit-and-miss, and has a slick mouse+keyboard interface with modern conveniences such as hotspot highlight, double-click to transition instantly, and fast-travel.

Unfortunately, while the game is a great love letter to the source material that inspired it, it doesn't do a great job at turning that material into a cohesive story or building its own tension. While this does give the game a kind of fascinating storybook fever dream effect, and has inspired me to want to go read all of the source material myself, it is not a great narrative that really stands on its own.

Another result of this is that the game sometimes suffers from both unclear objectives or poorly signposted puzzles. Some of the puzzles do have a tiered hint system which is quite handy, but not all of them, and unless you are particularly patient you will likely be reaching for a guide a few times, as while most puzzles are fine, a handful are particularly egregious.

Despite the flaws, and occasionally frustrating puzzles, I enjoyed my time with Memoranda. It is an interesting and artistic experience, and a really cool execution of what is clearly a passion project. Thumbs up.

This was a terrific adventure game. It reminded me of old school titles like toonstruck or monkey island, but had a unique flair of its own. There were many locations which open up as you went along. They were cozy and beautiful. There were many people, animals and characters to meet and interact with. The puzzles were simple yet clever. The inventory system was simple enough and you could combine some items. My only complaint is that some of the item combinations were ridiculous and a couple of times I had no clue where to go next. But in the end everything turned out very nicely and the story which was pretty cool wrapped up nearly. I truly enjoyed this amazing adventure. I'd love to see a few more like this one from this developer. Excellent game!

Point and click adventura s prvky magického realismu vypráví příběh mladé ženy, která si postupně uvědomuje, že zapomíná své vlastní jméno. Opravdu ztrácí paměť, nebo je tu něco jiného, co by mohlo vysvětlit podivné okolnosti?
Příběh se odehrává v poklidném městečku, kde spolu žije několik obyčejných i podivných postav. Včetně vojáka, který přežil druhou světovou válku, až po slona, který se ukrývá v lidském domku a doufá, že se stane člověkem. Všechny tyto postavy mají jedno společné: něco ztrácejí. Může to být jméno, manžel nebo dokonce něčí zdravý rozum!
Příběh je inspirován různými povídkami Harukiho Murakamiho, které popisují surrealistický svět plný osamělých postav.

Hra "Memoranda" se hraje jako klasická klikací adventura. Při řešení svého problému se zapomínáním a nespavostí hlavní hrdinka hry potkává pestrou paletu postav, které mají svůj malý příběh. Vy jakožto milá a empatická osoba jim pomůžete, anebo se o to jen skoro pokusíte. Hra vám totiž předkládá ÚKOLY, které se zapisují do poznámek, ale občas se něco nedořeší očekávaným způsobem a tak hráč může zbytečně řešit něco, co vyřešit nejde. Něco jiného hrdinka jen okomentuje po prozkoumání aktivního prvku scény a hráč může nabýt dojmu, že by to měl řešit. Dokonce pak má v inventáři i věci, které by mohly danou věc řešit, ale ty pak poslouží jinde. Takže u mě nastala fáze, kdy jsem netušil, co po mě hra chce a tak nezbývalo než zkoušet vše na vše nakonec téměř ve všech scénách hry. Musím ale přiznat, že to, co jsem měl v danou chvíli udělat, se dalo vyvodit. Hra obsahuje i několik HÁDANEK. U nich je možné nechat si v několika stupních PORADIT. Pro neangličtináře to u jedné z nich bude asi nutnost, protože je řešení ukryto v sestavení anglických slov.

[*]Rozmluvy s postavami se nesmyslně opakují a to do té míry, že Jack z recepce domu, kde bydlí hlavní hrdinka, spí a přesto mluví a ačkoli už je předmět druhé poloviny rozhovoru již vyřešen, tak se hlavní hrdinka stále tvrdošíjně ptá na uzamčenou místnost, která už je dávno odemčená.

Theres some beautiful artwork in this game and the "idea" of it and the direction they were going for i actually really love. But the execution kind of leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the item use in the game is more guesswork than coming to any sort of logical conclusion. Its not a bad game but i cant really recommend it . Id say give it a shot anyway if you can get it on a deep discount as its not terrible but its certainly not what i was hoping for. Dont like leaving bad reviews but just being honest.

Memoranda is a beautifully looking point n click game with good soundtrack and voice acting. The art design of the game is definitely the best part about it and you can see that every scene and character has been done with care.

Storywise... a bit confused. You play as a young lady who has forgotten her name, from there it spreads out a bit and you never really come to a full conclusion on anything. It's mostly odd, you meet a lot of people and explore but that's about it. The puzzles are definitely the weakest point of the game. Some of them makes sense but a majority does not.

With that said, still a good-looking and interesting game with big potential; hopefully the devs makes more games in the future! I recommend this one to fans of the genre, it's definitely worth a playthrough.

Соу-соу. Не могу поставить плохую оценку из-за приятной рисовки и атмосферного эмбиента. Довольно расслабляющая игра на пару вечеров. Но есть один нюанс: при решении головоломок всё сводится к тому, что в итоге ты пытаешься совместить все подряд вещи в инвентаре не понимая, что от тебя хочет игра. В итоге проще открыть гайд и не мучать себя догадками. Всю игру можно пройти часа за два, у меня же ушло 6 часов залипания на окружающую обстановку и попытку решить загадки без гайда 😅 . При прохождении старалась поддерживать интерес к игре, замечая всякие детали: например что за книгу читает дама в кафе (книга реально существующая), узнала что такое метаморфозы Эшера и как работает анализатор запахов. Иногда я страдаю такой фигней) помогает пробудить интерес к игре и узнать что-то новое. Рекомендую игру тем, кто любит залипать на всякие детали и не бросает игру из-за порой нелогичных головоломок.

Very fun puzzler for fans of classic point and click adventure and readers of Haruki Murakami. Knowing the story references within the game make it more fun for the player and as for the references I didn't get, it made me want to read more of his stories and novels. Some of the puzzles require some stretches in logic but for the most part each is solvable by reading every characters' dialogue and of course, referring to Mizuki's handy memoranda notebook. The game is a bit short so I hope Byterz makes another game in this style that builds off the works of Murakami, like 1Q84.

This is the worst point-and-click adventure I’ve seen in years. It had everything needed to be great: charming animation, a strange and vivid world, and a promising story about a lost name. But the gameplay boils down to pure pixel-hunting and nothing more.

The challenges are meaningless. It’s not hard to guess what needs to be done, but you never understand why it matters. The game seems to forget that player actions should have a goal—or at least a sense of direction—and instead encourages aimless wandering and mindless clicking.

Fans of Murakami might find something to enjoy in the references and atmosphere. But in every other respect, it’s empty, tedious and dull.

Some adventure games suffer because their puzzles don't make any sense. This one's story doesn't make any sense though, which would seem harder to mess up. I was really hoping things would fall into place in the end, some meaningful alegory or symbolism unveiled, but no. The game's art and soundtrack are quite good, but the voice acting is unfortunately subpar. Overall, I didn't enjoy my time with it, and cannot recommend it.

Memoranda es un buen juego pero con algunos puzzles que son complicados incluso siguiendo la lógica surrealista del juego. La historia está bien pero no te vuela la cabeza, tal vez la disfruten más quienes hayan leído a Murakami y deja varios hilos sin explicar. Varias veces me encontré preguntandome que tenía que hacer a continuación y la memoranda no siempre fue de ayuda, con lo cual me veía obligado a recorrer todas las pantallas para ver si me había perdido algo o si aparecía algo nuevo (por suerte esto se hace rápido ya que el juego no tiene tiempos de carga). El estilo del juego es muy bueno y este es el aspecto que más destaca.
En definitiva habrá que tener una guía a mano (la de Steam en inglés por ejemplo) ya que seguramente la tendremos que usar 4 o 5 veces.

A beautiful, short, chill game with a little bit of creepiness (not so successful at it though).
It has some weak points but overall I had a great experience playing Memoranda. Needed to check walkthrough a couple of times because of the logic behind the puzzles was hard to follow. Also I'm not satisfied with the ending.
Art style is amazing tough, it's one of those things that makes me feel good about humans. I liked the voices too.
I recommend it and I would give a 6,5/10

While the game has a nice aesthetic to it and a cozy art style, combined with a story that may not be great but isn't too bad, the puzzles and gameplay undo most of it.

The puzzles are for the most part completely illogical and are near impossible to solve without a walkthrough or by trying to combine every item with anything you can interact with. On top of that it constantly makes you go back and forth across the whole map for seemingly no reason.

Now about the story

SO MANY elements are introduced that seemingly have no purpose other than for a few puzzles, and then are completely dropped: The whole thing with the singing cat, dabchick running an illegal business, Mizuki's friends or the counselor, who basically only gives you one clue that could have easily been surmised from all the other plotlines going on

Other parts are just completely useless,like tha lady who lost her cat, but specifically Moriko. In the very beginning it's made obvious that Moriko committed suicide, and at first it seems like that would be an important plot point to maybe some mystery or something, but no, other than the whole thing with the monkey, she just appears in the dream really quick, does nothing at all, and is forgotten for pretty much the rest of the game save the ending.

This brings me to my next point: the dream
Since Mizuki is an insomniac it seems like there must be a good reason for her to not be able to fall asleep, but really it's just an old ghost who randomly chose to haunt her (for plot convenience i guess) and ♥♥♥♥♥ off after you give him some good kush. Then when Mizuki finally falls asleep there's nothing of substance other than just one measly puzzle and Morioh-cho hiding in the trees.
Lastly the whole plotline with the elephant and everything goes nowhere and is just a huge detour to distract you from the lack of substance in the main story

It's even more of a shame to see that the game sets up a lot of promise in the beginning, but delivers none of it. In the first quarter of the game we meet this mysterious old dude who has really interesting puzzles set up and could have played a much bigger role, but is completely forgotten about the second you finish 2 puzzles. It would have been so much better if Mocchi's suicide made any impact and that you had to find out why or how she did it intead of just [spoiler] having your name stolen by a horny old monkey [/spoiler] or at the very least have the whole elephant plot line tie in more with the main story. The elephant used to be friends with the dude at the front desk, who was also friends with the mysterious old guy, why not have done something with that, maybe to try an solve Marmelade's death?

All in all this game is a huge clump of bad puzzles, loose threads and wasted potential, all wrapped in a nice artsy package.

TL;DR the game isn't horrible, but it's not good either, and definetly not worth $15

Удивительно, как благодаря игре я вспомнил, почему плевался от "Пинбола" Мураками!

Все происходящее с первых минут не увлекает вовсе. Вся эта "искусственная" суета вокруг. Медленный геймплей. Унылый абсурд. Загадки а-ля "угадай не здравый смысл, а логику автора". Даже хорошая рисовка всей игры утомляет самими картинами, что она создаёт.

А основной вопрос, что я не смог узнать, а теперь и не особо хочется: Мизуки же забыла свое имя, какого хрена я его узнал с самого начала?

На любой проект найдётся свой игрок. Но этот - точняк не для широких масс, а ну очень узкого круга любителей. Не порекомендую 100%. Кому надо, сам такое найдёт.

I'm giving this a positive review with some major caveats.

This game is beautiful, and the world is quirky and amazing. But good LORD is there some serious moon-logic involved in solving most of the puzzles. I loved where it went, but I would have rather been able to intuit my way through it rather than have to look up so many spoilers, because most of the things you need to do to make the story progress just don't make any logical sense.

I give this a major thumbs-up for story, art, ambiance, production values, everything like that... and a major thumbs-down for the actual game-play. But I'd still recommend it if you can get it on sale, because as a story-telling game it's still really interesting.

I'm absolutely in love with this game. First of all, I have to say, I really think this game isn't for everyone. It's based on short stories by a Japanese writer called Haruki Murakami. He's a really polarizing writer, which means that you either love him, or don't care much about him. This, for better or worse, also carries over to the game. However, as Murakami happens to be my favourite writer, this game was AMAZING.

This, again like Murakami's work, is a game more about living an experience than about clear endings and answers, or about teaching you something. It's about something happening, and you being there to see it. It's a story about surrealism that is portrayed in such a natural way that it makes it seem normal. It's a story about cute characters with peculiar back stories. It's a story about an elephant vanishing overnight and about a girl that forgot her name because it ran away. You have to dive headfirst into the universe and let yourself to enjoy the ride without overthinking about anything to fully enjoy it. And that's not something that everyone can or wants to do, and that's perfectly valid.

Prior to playing the game I've read from a lot of people that this game, being a graphic adventure, has what many consider a flaw from classic graphic stories, and that is that some puzzles lack any logic and more a matter of trial and error until you find a solution which can be really frustrating and keep you stuck in a certain point for a long while. I played the game with a guide at hand at all times, and I'd recommend doing the same if you fear about getting stuck, 'cause I don't really think it made the experience any worse or more lacking at all.

I loved the art style of the game. I really think it fits the surreal mood of the game and the universe it portrays perfectly. The voice acting was remarkable, and the soundtrack, even without having much of a presence, works perfectly to set the mood of every scene and place you find yourself into.

I loved what this game had to offer, and I'll be looking forward for future releases by its developers.

I was impressed with the art style they went for it is gorgeous, the
retro 60's style you'd find in countless posters,books and cartoons.
Though the game itself is very linear , the puzzles you have to complet
one at the time, however the journal gives you multiple clues to
go for but that's just to make it all ''sphaggeti'' you are allways
only chasing one goal.

I had a few instances that I was like.....HUH? when I try to complete
a puzzle and had to look it up because the Logic was really really
awkward.
I think that it's a shame, when point & click adventure game have
puzzles that are un-logic. people will need to look it up and they are
tempted to use the guide for the rest of the game.

Anyway, the voices were recorded well though!
and story wise, meh not my cookie, very strange story
just like the puzzles..
I thought about it because point & click games are one of my favorite
games and I do hope this genre stays.

But since puzzles are mandatory I would have liked to give a
in between rating , but since that's not possible I'm geared
toward no..

I've been fiddling with my profile and noticed that the rarest Steam badge I have is of this game, and it's only level 1 at the moment. Meaning there are too few people own this game, let alone played it. Yeah, only 64 reviews on Steam, despite being bundled for the third time now during just a year. Twice on IndieGala, that's a shame. No, the game is not a masterpiece by any means, but I feel like IndieGala is too low. The score of 58 on Metacritic is too low as well. Current 71% approval on Steam is more like it.

It is a decent point and click adventure. It has good artwork, surreal story, sometimes confusing puzzles (not sure if it's a bad thing since most if not all beloved classic point-n-clicks have those), dreadful or at least amature voice acting (main character's voice annoyed me the most I think). If you can overlook the flaws (I didn't find them particularly bad), there are some pros to enjoy here.

The connection to Murakami's work seems to be in reference only- I wouldn't say the game explores many of the themes common in Murakami's work. When the game worked, it was pretty whimsical. When it didn't, it was an obtuse chore. Best played with a guide to avoid visiting the same locations over and over to see if anything's changed.

"Memoranda" est un point and click en version française sous-titrée grâce au patch de Snake Eyes et ghylard (encore merci !). Le jeu a un côté "japonais" du fait de l'héroïne "Mizuki" que le joueur incarne mais ne vous attendez pas à du manga pur jus. Notre personnage, jeune adulte, amnésique, ne se souvient plus de son VRAI nom et part à la recherche de son idendité à travers la ville et à la rencontre de gens qui peuvent l'aider à la mettre sur la voie.
Si le jeu, au début, m'a un peu destabilisé du fait de certaines énigmes "tirés par les cheveux" (la boîte et l'ours en peluche, entre autres), la suite s'avère être un pointer/cliquer fort honorable avec des décors de toute beauté. Bien sûr, il faut aimer le côté philosophique et onirique de l'histoire, d'où certaines longueurs dans le discours. Classique dans son gaming, on peut regretter, toutefois, une fin "très abrupte" qui, à mon avis, ne clôture pas le jeu d'une façon appropriée.
Je recommande le jeu, car outre cette fin qu'il vous laisse un peu pantois, on prend beaucoup de plaisir à résoudre les énigmes, certaines faciles d'autres particulièrement difficiles (ai galéré pas mal sur quelques passages).

Являясь поклонником творчества Харуки Мураками, я не могла оставить без внимания этот квест. К сожалению, некоторое время я решила подождать скидки - и вот, Memoranda наконец пройдена.

Скажу сразу, квест достаточно простой, и у меня ни разу прохождение не вызвало каких-либо трудностей. Может. я натренирована на более трудных и мозговыносящих квестах, но факт остается фактом - в прохождении не должно быть особых сложностей.
Здесь потрясающая атмосфера. Сама картинка сначала кажется немного странной, но с каждой минутой ты понимаешь. что другого изображения здесь быть и не могло. Музыка дополняет и скрашивает прохождение. А озвучка! Голоса персонажей действительно радуют.

По мере продвижения по сюжету человек, знакомый с работами Мураками, может подметить знакомые элементы. Хей, кто-нибуь вспомнил бедную тетушку или мужчину, который в ливень ходит в зоопарк? И такие мелочи действительно радуют.
Итак, возвращаясь к теме. Головоломки простые, хоть порой и достаточно абсурдные. Сам сюжет о поиске потерянного имени, что достаточно необычно (и в принципе странно, но ведь сюрреализм и скрытый смысл везде), однако он отсылает нас к "Обезьяне из Синагавы".

Говоря в целом, я с уверенностью могу сказать, что эта игра способна скрасить один или два вечера, но не более. Продолжительность уж больно коротка

Questo gioco come avventura grafica fallisce per via di enigmi non sempre logici, sono piu basati sulla storia che sulla logica. Quindi se non conoscete l'opera originale da cui è tratto sto gioco, non ci capirete nulla dei vari enigmi. Secondo, anche la storia basata sull'insieme di storie brevi è molto confusionaria per chi è a digiuno dell'opera originale come lo sono io. Le uniche cose indovinate in questo gioco sono lo stile grafico e le musiche. Il resto è solo un sogno onirico senza ne capo ne coda, anche il finale non aiuta a conoscere il nome della protagonista e dovrebeb essere l'obiettivo finale. Per questo non lo consiglio ne a prezzo pieno ne con lo sconto a 5 euro. Se siete a digiuno dell'opera originale non lo prendete in considerazione. In caso contrario è un buon gioco che vale i 5 euro scontati non di piu.

Memoranda is a point and click puzzle adventure, with a playstyle reminiscent of those point and click games from the 90’s. Memoranda is very much its own game, and doesn’t really ride coat tails, but the inspiration is apparent, in a good way. For me it recaptures the old head scratching style of esoteric puzzles and bizarre connections between items and characters. There are memorable characters, and their motivations will drive your progression through the game.

Bizarre is another apt term for the game. It starts of realistically enough – Mizuki has memory issues and suffers from insomnia. Memoranda is about her confronting these issues, and explores this through her interaction with her hometown and the characters within. Without giving too much away, this all starts becoming surreal rather quickly. I enjoyed the surrealism because it is accomplished in a fantastic way.

The graphics, and overall atmosphere in Memoranda is beautiful, consisting of beautifully painted backdrops and rich sounds. This comes together to achieve a strong ambience which complements the mood of the game well.

There are puzzles in the game; some explicit ‘solve this puzzle here’ style puzzles, and others which are generally about connecting the dots between items in your inventory and things people have told you. I found some of these puzzles rather challenging and even consulted a walkthrough to help me.

I believe Memoranda tells its story very well conveying humour, pathos and nostalgia beautifully through gameplay and exposition. It is not a very long game, but it accomplishes a lot in that time.

Non solo possiamo condire con salsa di soia di ricetta giapponese ma coltivata in Olanda una frittata di uova maremmane e carote dell'altopiano del Fucino, ma ci viene anche offerto su una piattaforma statunitense una rivisitazione iraniana di un'opera letteraria contemporanea surrealista giapponese. A dir poco gustoso. E' così che si percepisce Memoranda: un gioco dalla ricetta fusion, ideata dal teheraniano Sahand Saedi dopo la lettura di una raccolta di storie brevi di Murakami Haruki. Per chi interessa, queste sono state pubblicate in italia nel 2001 (rist. 2009) con il titolo "L'elefante scomparso e altri racconti", e sono in tutto 17, scritte tra l'inizio degli anni Ottanta e la fine del decennio successivo. I vari fili narrativi non sono stati concepiti come intrecciati, e quindi tutta la costruzione più o meno unitaria di questo progetto videoludico va attribuita a Saedi e al suo piccolo team: mi sento pertanto abbastanza tranquillo nel commentare Memoranda senza aver letto l'opera originale, conoscendone soltanto alcuni stralci che hanno colpito particolarmente la mia compagna, che ha tra l'altro assistito e contribuito al playthrough.
Memoranda parla del rapporto della protagonista Mizuki con il padre, che ha scavato nell'inconscio della figlia una percezione tormentata dell'altro, e una difficile accettazione del dualismo umano tra razionale e istintivo. La composizione ad anello inizia e finisce in un cratere ospitante delle concrezioni simili ai resti di un dinosauro: il quadro dà un contesto alla misantropia del padre, che inculca a Mizuki il terrore dell'uomo cacciatore. Inizia così un processo di scissione nella mente della ragazza, che tende ad abbandonare la memoria del suo nome, portato dell'eredità famigliare; un vecchio nano marinaio inoltre, essere a) maschile, b) anziano e c) deforme/animalesco, le impedisce di dormire. Il gioco ci porta attraverso il viaggio di ricomposizione di Mizuki, tra continue transizioni e metamorfosi di uomini che vedono dolorosamente la propria esistenza come fratturata tra apollineo e dionisiaco. Azzeccata la scelta di riservare alle lenti di una macchina fotografica la predizione dell'evoluzione del singolo, presa come atto di cattura della luce esterna e, al momento giusto, rincuorante monito che i propri problemi sono in via di risoluzione (il nano sparisce nella foto). Un doppio livello narrativo viene abbozzato con la figura della vecchia amica suicida, immagine che ricorda molto le produzioni della Yoshimoto. Tramite la suicida, che incarna lo scenario in cui Mizuki soccombe ai suoi problemi di scissione, il dominio allegorico centrale della trama trova ulteriori rinforzi: la ragazza, abituata a essere idealizzata per mezzo delle invidie, ammirazioni e desideri altrui, soccombe nel momento in cui riconosce essa stessa di avere tratti di materialità, e di provare emozioni e sentimenti del tutto umani. E' di una logicità semplice ma estremamente azzeccata il ruolo della scimmia in tutto questo, che diventa l'elemento di maggior inquietudine e pericolo, nonché in conclusione colpevole, dell'intera vicenda: l'animale più vicino all'uomo, in cui il desiderio di sottrarre non ha motivazione logica ma è puro e ingenuo.
Bisogna dire che non tutti i comprimari della vicenda, seppur centrali, hanno un ruolo chiaro all'interno della tematica simbolica del gioco. L'uomo degli spaghetti in primis, con la sua fuga dalla società e dalla famiglia e la ferrea volontà di aiutare le transizioni animali, rimane in definitiva opaco per motivazioni e psicologia; altrettanto periferico è il ragazzo sul molo, che per come tipologia di dramma umano e contesto sembra quasi uscito da un altro costrutto narrativo.
Ma in generale sono ben altri i problemi più noti e discussi di Memoranda. Sebbene si tratti di un'avventura punta e clicka a enigmi, il gioco è stato accusato dalla critica di non seguire i canoni del genere, sacrificando per il bene del surrealismo la logica tradizionale su cui si deve basare un puzzle ben costruito. E' vero che durante la mia esperienza con Memoranda mi sono trovato più volte arreso e con la sensazione di dover cercare una soluzione laddove non era stato posto un problema esplicito in primo luogo. E' altresì da notare però che Saedi non marcia sull'aspetto punitivo di queste scelte di design, anzi: non solo il sistema di Hint presente non penalizza affatto il giocatore (vedi assenza di achievement dedicati a run "perfette"), ma lo sviluppatore ha anche inserito post-lancio dei contorni più definiti per gli HO necessari alla progredire della trama. Non si deve neppure dimenticare che non c'è attualmente sviluppatore su questa piattaforma che non sia consapevole della possibilità per gli utenti di redigere guide di qualsivoglia genere per aiutare la comunità, con l'eventuale possibilità di sconsigliare l'uso di tali strumenti (si veda ad es. Star Sky), cosa che in questo caso non accade affatto.
In definitiva, per Memoranda le scelte registiche relative al gameplay sono così diluite dal contesto di pubblicazione da non pesare a mio avviso così tanto da offuscare il magnifico lavoro svolto di cucitura sia grafico-spaziale che contenutistica della fervida immaginazione di Murakami. Un'opera di rivisitazione da cui molta della rimasticatura "artistica" di questo millennio potrebbe prendere spunto, soprattutto in ambito teatrale (che pure si è interessato a queste storie brevi, con discreto successo).

Algunos puzzles son complicados (lo cual es bueno), pero si estás decidido a resolver todos los rompecabezas te tomara un poco de tiempo, pero si te sientes mas cómodo manteniendo el recorrido abierto para que puedas hacer clic en todo el juego y ver la historia, es una novela visual interesante (y muy extraña). Admito que pensé que profundizarían en más problemas de salud mental que se insinuaron, pero supongo que de eso no se trata.

Квест привлёк внимание необычной стилистикой и тем, что был вдохновлён рассказами Харуки Мураками. Лет 5-10 назад читал пару его романов, подробностей не помню, но общее впечатление они оставили положительное, что и стало решающим фактором для покупки игры.

Экстравагантная героиня со своими тараканами и двухнедельной бессонницей, приятная музыка, симпатичные локации, без особых проблем решённые первые загадки (что вызывало некие опасения после прочтения других отзывов) - показалось, что творение разработчиков должно мне понравиться. Но не тут-то было. В какой-то момент стало абсолютно непонятно, что делать дальше. Вроде хотелось какое-то удовольствие получить, а не бегать по локациям и бездумно тыкать куда попало содержимым инвентаря... Что ж, гайды - наше всё! Руководствуясь правилом "тупить не более 10 минут", в итоге заглянул в прохождение раз пять. Сам игровой процесс к концу особой радости уже не доставлял - действо окончательно ушло в какой-то сюр с говорящими зверями, а я со скучающим лицом перетаскивал туда-сюда различные предметы. Задним числом решение затруднительных загадок выглядит в какой-то степени логично, но догадаться об этом самостоятельно тяжело (хотя наверняка можно, только уйдёт ещё несколько часов, которые не хочется тратить при отсутствии интереса).

Я был бы готов простить всё вышенаписанное, если бы тут был какой-нибудь сюжет, но его тут тоже нет! Цель приключения - найти потерянное имя. Диагноз при этом не совсем ясен, так как по ходу игры к героине неоднократно обращаются по имени, она сама себя тоже иногда называет, а в субтитрах её имя вообще пишется постоянно... Ну ладно, бывает. Возможно, это какие-нибудь восточные темы или тонкая аллегория. В общем, ищем имя и по ходу дела посильно помогаем каким-то NPC в решении их проблем, перекидываясь с ними короткими фразами. Находим имя (да и то этот момент показан очень туманно). Конец. Внимание, вопрос! Это что было и зачем? При прочтении романов Мураками мне всё казалось каким-то более глубоким, что ли, с эдаким налётом меланхолии, что тогда вполне гармонировало с моим настроением (в этом плане наиболее отчётливо вспоминается "Норвежский лес", который излишним сюрреализмом, кстати говоря, не страдал, насколько я помню). Здесь же ничего этого нет. Не знаю, что там в рассказах (теперь, вероятно, почитаю и их), но тут я увидел только некую иллюстрацию, не более. Все диалоги достаточно короткие и скудные, так что проникнуться к кому-то сочувствием сложновато. Смысловая нагрузка происходящего хромает, если не сказать, что пребывает в бессознательном состоянии (из-за бессонницы, видимо).

Рекомендовать игру можно только знатокам творчества Мураками, да и то с осторожностью. Полагаю, максимум, что можно будет вынести из этого квеста, - несколько каких-нибудь конкретных и специфических отсылок к произведениям этого автора. Ещё, скорее всего, игра понравится тем, кто готов закрыть глаза на любые недостатки при наличии интересной визуальной составляющей. Всем остальным не рекомендую - за привлекательной художественной частью скрывается не вызывающая практически никаких эмоций пустышка с сомнительными загадками. Жаль... Тем не менее, если вдруг придумают какое-то продолжение или новую вариацию на тему, попробую и её, потому что подобные начинания в любом случае нужно поддерживать.

Eğer bir point&click oyununda sürrealizm üzerinden gidilecekse, bulmacalar ve hikaye keyif vermelidir. Aksi halde oynayıcıyı "ben ne yapıyorum" dedirtir. Mantıksız giden ve sarmayan bir oyun oldu. Bırakıp silmek durumunda kaldım. Bu türün epey fazla bir oynayıcısı olarak oyunu önermiyorum.

This is a kickstarted game based on the short stories from Japanese author, Haruki Murakami. Very quickly it seems the game got dumped into the bundle mills.

The artwork and graphics are quite good but the game lacks the kind of PC graphics customisations PC gamers expect. Gameplay, however, is not so great or interesting. I can't recommend this to anyone but fans of Haruki Murakami, which makes this very much a game for a narrow niche audience.

Memoranda has an incredibly beautiful art style, coupled with great voice acting and original music. I really enjoyed how the protagonist has a slight lisp - making her imperfect and yet "simple" is a great counterpoint with the surrealism of the game - opera singer cats, elephants on the run. Also, even the human characters in the game are brimming with personality through their actions, personality, hobbies or appearance. It's a really colourful and varied game with the goal of finding the protagonist's escaped name, and to help her get some sleep after weeks of insomnia :)
Gameplay-wise it's a user-friendly point and click, that is a bit harder than recent games, for example the Wadjeteye games. It requires some attention to detail in environment / sounds (sometimes taking notes is useful) similarly to the old Lucasarts games, while lacking the typcal moon logic. On the contraty - surrealism makes it weirder, and sometimes harder than a "normal" game would be, so it's middle ground in unusual solutions. A fellow player made walkthrough for the game that is available on Steam, the game is accessible for people who just want a story and the amazing looks
It was a really awesome experience, I really fell in love with its visual and audio design :)

Not a regular poin n click game, if you used to play with games like Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Deponia. Solutions are as weird as it seems. Puzzles can be tidious sometimes, as solutions are hidden. The graphics are beautiful, appeling to the eye, not to mention about the music. Sure some are just loops, but gives more charm to the game, making it an atmoshperic experience.

I've never red any Haruki Murakami novel/book/short story before, but this game made me to read them right away!

For players whom not get frightened by bizarr and strange stories, and like poin n click games, as I am :D

The puzzles are too random to enjoy the game if you are determined to solve all the puzzles yourself. But if you are comfortable keeping the walkthrough open so that you can just click through the whole game and watch the story, is does make an interesting (and very odd) visual novel. I spent a lot of time thinking "I'm so glad I didn't try to work THAT one out myself". I admit that I thought they would furthar into more of the mental health issues that were hinted at, but I guess that's not what this one is about.

First of all a disclaimer: I bought it on sale. For the sale price it was okay. The story is quirky and whimsical and makes little sense, which means the puzzles also make little sense and I had to check walkthroughs more than once. The voice acting is good, music is good, controls are good and backgrounds/graphics style is quite unique. Replayability value is zero, so I don't think the full price it's really worth this game, but if you see it on sale and like point-and-click adventures it's worth a try. I didn't think this was a fantastic game and it will not really stick with me, but I enjoyed it.

挺早之前玩的这两天才发现自己没在steam上写过一篇测评orz

总体来说感觉这游戏还不错的，因为我个人是玩游戏比较看画风而且非常手残的那种，好像打折的时候20多入手的，个人感觉画风和音乐还是值得打折的价钱的。

剧情的话，工科女也没看过村上春树的小说，直到看到了其他大佬的回答才发现这个游戏里原来有蛮多细节的，只不过对小说不了解的人可能真的不会注意到吧。

另外这游戏玩的人竟然那么少吗？感觉这个游戏质量还不错的啊。

I know Point'n'Click players would like new games to have interesting art and original feelings to it, and sometimes we buy games because that is the message we wanna send the devs - there is a market for quality and innovation. I honestly suggest, however, that this is not the one you should endorse.

The graphical aspects are as good as they get, but the places and people they depict are very western and instead of contributing to surrealism, they just collide with clearly Japanese references from the source material. Taking the tale to a new location made it weird, not surreal.

The trailer highlights aspects of the characters that are not present in the story, and if it is supposed to approach losing things, or ones identity, or any overall theme, it is not there. They didn't pull it. Which is a shame.

As pointed out, the puzzles/continuity/following logical leaps is the low point of the game, but the real let down is, even if you are not there for the puzzles, even if you wanna forgive the pacing that comes from the off-putting storytelling, if you are only around for a breeze of fresh air in games, it doesnt deliver. It is like a movie director with a good script (the source material), some great locations and photography (congratz there), actors that could do a good enough job, but he, himself, is a terrible director, so he just ruins the potential - I can't forgive that.

The game immediately sets an inviting ambiance with its perfectly charming art style and overall professional quality. The main character's distinct lisp can be unsettling initially but most voices are performed decently and supported by an enjoyable soundtrack. It is a pleasure to explore this credible yet slightly surreal rural world.

However, characters only exist briefly with very few conversations or interactions between them, and none develop into more complex or involving sub-stories. A lot of them had potential to offer context for an eventual quest but only turn out to be set dressing (such as that cat lady neighbor or the driver at the counselor's office). It feels quite like looking at a slide show of the developer's collected brief ideas, without anything more meaningful or substantial.

The game barely provides enough clues to let the player know what must be done, much less how to solve problems. This bad exposure to problems and solutions is the game's single biggest mistake and ultimate downfall. Later situations become overly absurd and nonsensical, never eliciting a moment of cleverness either from the player or the game's designer.

It's really annoying to have to open up the memoranda book manually to read new objectives when they could easily have been revealed organically. Several actions can't be performed with the mouse, requiring frequent use of disparate hotkeys where a small icon in the menu bar for quick access would have sufficed.

It's unclear if being familiar with Haruki Murakami's body of work (the game's cited inspiration) would ease the situation much, though even if it did help it wouldn't solve its inadequate puzzle solving and patched structure.

I hope this small talented team can sort out their issues for their next project because they do have the talent to produce something great, but they need better focus and direction.

The vivid world of [i]Memoranda[/i] is unique. There was something about the art style that I really enjoyed. The story was strange and felt fairly hollow, but my overall experience was a positive one.

People complaining about the "nonsensical" solutions are perhaps biased by typical western approach to puzzles. As far as I understand, this game was done by an all Oriental developer, and just maybe their pattern of puzzling is alien to European or American players.

I for once had to look up a walkthrough 3 times for some particular - and indeed nasty - item placements, the puzzles were all solveable. At least once I understood that the hints work differently from what I was used to. The hint system btw was next to useless for me.

Thanks again for that healthy lesson in "difference between logic and habitual conclusion".

As for the game itself, it was a very pleasent mix of Japanese film noire and French movie "Amélie", graphically very appealing. Voice acting was of high quality in recording, the female protagonists voice was of some strange dreaminess sometimes, but I guess that was a design choice.

Do not buy this game if you hate cats!
If you liked the setting and artstyle of this game despite the puzzles, and have never heard of the French movie "Amélie", watch it! Revelation!
