this game is trash. Starting off for my male gooner audience the monsters are un-smashable some bosses are, but wasting money on this rather than getting quality material elsewhere is not worth it.
on the other hand where the heck am do i to go. The game states you must beat the S Y W T bosses in order to unlock their ability... WHERE i have been running around for half an hour into the same dead ends.
the control's are incredibly bizarre each set on opposite sides of the keyboard left for movement (A,S,D) and right for attacks (J,K,L) (who puts L as the jump key)
The bosses are stupidly simple i can find more quality in a 2000s flash game. And enemy's have consistent attacks with no cool extra moves or special attacks
May troid is a game i would never recommend to play save your money and your time invest in a better game even if its free DO NOT BUY IT

I don't wanna give the game a bad review, but it's so clunky.
The attacks make you feel like a fish out of the water ,the melee has such a slow attack, i almost fall asleep and it just doesn't feel right.
It didn't draw any interest out ,the graphics are nice and if you like clunky platformer with bad battle elements in them,it's your type of game.

Characters are cute, althought the universe and the lore is forgettable and didn't get me hooked up. Soundtrack is bad, mechanics aren't the worst and there's plenty of upgrades and unlockables. Keyboard controls are a mess but it's cheap and worth playing if You get used to it and ignore some clunkiness. Also the dev released the patch after 4 years so obviously gonna support them.

Fun little game. Not really a metroidvania though. It's more similar to Mega Man X than anything. For $2 It's an easy recommendation.
A MegaMan Zero type game that has great value for the money you spend on it.Negative because the cube dash room is still broken on 144Hz even though recent patches claim this was fixed.
Same as "GEMETRY MAY" but without the automatic scrolling, allowing the level design to be tougher. It would be nice but unfortunately, the control keys orgy are the same, wich keeps a very bad gameplay.

Maytroid is a short but reasonably fun game with Metroidvania elements (but a lot less backtracking). It controls well and your character has a nice variety of mobility options, particularly after unlocking special abilities from bosses that allow you to interact with floating eyeballs of different colors. You can unlock a few new weapons too, but that's done buy buying them from a shop with money you accumulate while playing (you can buy them in any order). There is a Metroidvania-style map divided into different-colored zones, but they don't really feel particularly different from one another.
What I found most noteworthy about Maytroid is that the individual rooms are designed almost like puzzles. You often need to make good use of your abilities to navigate the terrain and figure out how to get to the next room. A welcome touch is that there is no real penalty for dying, you can retry a room as many times as you'd like and you always start a new room with full life. As an added challenge, most rooms have several blue flames (the game's currency) that are tucked in out-of the way places that require a bit more skill and finesse to acquire. At first I thought I would need to make a concerted effort to collect them all in order to unlock all the images in the game's gallery, and I thought that was a good way to encourage people to explore each room and develop their skills. In the end, though, that currency is moot as I found an arena-type secret room with infinitely-spawning enemies where I accumulated more money than I could ever use, making the scattered flames kind of pointless.
I thought there was a good variety of enemies with interesting attack patterns that required me to learn what they do and how to defeat them. Some are better tackled with a particular weapon, some require you to keep moving, some become more dangerous when paired with others... If you just blindly run & gun you're not going to make much progress. The bosses offered a decent challenge too, with some interesting set pieces and phases that require acrobatic finesse. The last boss was a suitably difficult challenge that required a few tries but wasn't terribly unfair.
The story is, in my opinion, pretty difficult to make any sense of. It appears this is a sequel to a game I've never played, and while that might have made a few things clearer I found Maytroid's plot to be a little too angsty and obtuse for my liking. It's also pretty jarring how you'll often get the story delivered through lengthy conversation segments that play out seemingly whenever you enter a new room. This hurts the pacing of the game somewhat, although if you don't mind skipping the story altogether you can do that and not miss out on much.
As I mentioned earlier, there is a gallery full of images that can be unlocked. These are racy images of the game's female characters and come in three tiers: Sexy outfit, tiny string bikini, and nude (albeit censored). The art isn't bad, but I found there to be an odd disconnect between the game's fairly serious themes/plot and the sexually-charged nature of the gallery images. If such images don't interest you, they can be easily ignored.
I beat the game and got all the achievements in under four hours, which I thought was a good length. As an indie game, I found Maytroid to be pretty entertaining and a decent challenge. It's also incredibly cheap so it doesn't require much investment to try out. It's not a deep or full-fledged Metroidvania experience, but it does enough well that I recommend it to fans of short indie titles.

После прохождения шедевральной “Арканы” от этого разработчика (1-й и 2-й части), я решил почекать и другие его игры. К сожалению, эта игра мне не понравилась! Для начала, почему разработчик не может добавить возможность делать скрины на F12? Ни в одной из его игр я не могу сделать нормальный скрин! Далее, стиль рисовки артов очень хорош! В “Аркане” такой же стиль, только с намного-намного лучшей рисовкой!
НО! В этой игре нет контента 18+! Вы бегаете по карте и собираете какую-то фигню (пусть будут монеты), а потом за эти монеты открываете себе галерею или качаете какие-то скилы. В галерее всего 10 артов, и каждый арт имеет 3 вариации (с каждой вариацией одежды становится меньше). Но на третьей вариации (где девушка должна быть совсем раздетой) висит цензура!
Из минусов:
-НЕТУ возможности делать скрин на F12
-Врагов мало и они кажутся однотипными
-Управление!
-НЕТУ контента 18+
-Зато есть цензура =)

Acabei de zerar e platinar esse jogo, honestamente não me sinto muito orgulhoso haushuash (pq sera)
Vou ser direto, jogue Maytroid se você gosta de um Metroidvania que dá para ser zerado em algumas horas, eu diria umas 6 ou 8, demorei mais porque, fica um pouquinho complicado quando você pega mais habilidades ou quando quer pegar as "moedas" do jogo e, também pois fiquei afk do jogo esquecendo de fechar ele.
Eu tive problemas de performance, vai e vem meu jogo engasgava e muito, chegando á uns 20 ou 10 fps, não sei dizer se é pois o jogo é mal otimizado ou porque o motor gráfico (no Gerenciador de Tarefas conhecido como nw.exe) depende muito de cpu, pois o que o jogo mais usou foi meu processador.
A história é um pouco confusa e sinceramente nem me interessei, eu só queria sair matando todo mundo e é isso aí.
O jogo tem uma galeria de conteúdo adulto na tela de título, e só, não tem mais nada de interessante, dê esse jogo de presente pro seu amigo que gosta de jogos 2d e meninas 2d.
Mais um jogo na biblioteca que eu vou deixar para sempre.
'Maytroid. I swear it's a nice game too' is a loosely metroidvania, short platformer. It's also the sequel to 'Teleportals. I swear it's a nice game'. The two games are different (one's a puzzle platformer and one's a shoot'em'up) but they appear to be in sequential order and if you play this one first some parts of the plot might not make sense. Beat it in 4 hours taking my time mostly using a game controller. Difficulty is hard.
Game play - The basics are there. Shoot enemies, platforms, you need x ability unlocked to continue, that sort of thing.
Controls - This game should probably be played on the keyboard. Using the game controller is buggy as all. Sometimes you have to start the game twice to get it to work, other times it switches the gun on you at random and you have to resort to the keyboard 1-4 buttons to change it. And to use the black orb ability I highly recommend the D-pad over the joystick. It also acknowledges you're using a game controller but doesn't tell you what button does what beyond the keyboard.
Difficulty - Most of the rooms aren't that hard to figure out. Some have multiple ways to get through them, others are restricted to unlocked abilities. But the bosses can be really freaking hard. A big chunk of my in-game time was spent dying to bosses, especially the last battle. Even so, the game does come with a range of difficulty levels, so you could make it easier on yourself if you wanted. Or harder.
Layout - The map is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. Each area has next to no difference to them outside of background images and those kinda blend together after a point.
Ecchi - There's a gallery. It has nudity. You unlock it using points you accumulate through the game. The nudes are starred out unless you use the uncensored patch (found in the community forums).
Music - Music fits the game. I liked it.
Story - Wasn't a big fan of the story. Each time you enter a new room you get a cutscene through most of the game. It just dragged on and on. I wasn't a fan of Teleportal's story, either, but it was weirdly entertaining and funny at parts. This one is all drama and angst. You can choose to skip the story in the game options.
Achievements - All achievements are doable.
Collectibles - There are little bonus pics you can collect in the game, but there's 0 incentive to do so. And you're in such peril when you collect them that there's no time to enjoy the art in the moment before you're blasted to dust.
Backtracking - There's no incentive to backtrack.
In summary, you're getting this game because you're a platformer enthusiast with nothing to live for and plenty of low end games to endure. There are much better platformers out there and you are seriously getting what you pay for. Maytroid isn't as good as Teleportals and the series seems to slide backwards a little in every way. Even so, I was able to beat the game and it's a short one with tough bosses. So if you have absolutely nothing to do for an afternoon and you like pics of scantly clad pixel ladies, here you are. If you're looking for super epic graphic titles, I hate to tell you this isn't it. You're at the bottom of the Steam gaming pit. There's nothing but shadows and spikes down here.

Хорошая игра , которой сильно не хватает двух читов : на бесконечные прыжки и на бессмертие (как было в Celeste (2018) . Боюсь что не каждый из игроков жил в 90-е , и не каждый мог с утра до ночи перепроходить одни и те же уровни платформеров на картриджной приставке (естественно не имевшей функции сохранения !) , оттачивая свои рефлексы и реакцию . Многие попросту не смогут пройти эту игру , так же как не смогли пройти платформеры 80-х-90-х годов .
Pretty good overall, the platforming can get a little janky at times but once you acquire all the power ups, its smooth sailing. Expect about a 3 hour play thru which is ok, though I would have liked maybe a 5 or 6 hour game, maybe a few more bosses, etc. Increasing the difficulty setting would probably make the play time longer too. Also has a nice art gallery. The music great too right up there with the best metroidvania type games.

Of the 50% or so of the game that I did explore the art and level designs were simply gorgeous. A bit confusing at the start though I suspect that's part of the appeal of metroidvania titles. I am very slow at games and played on the easiest difficulty to compensate for that and was able to beat the game with a playtime of roughly 2.5 hours. I think I should have played the prequel to be better able to understand the protagonist's situation but I think I got the gist of it near the end. All in all I regret every second I spent enjoying this masterpiece, 11/10 would recommend
o jogo é divertido é tem umas Mecânicas legais, o jogo esta em PT-BR o que é ótimo, a única coisa ruim que eu vi nesse jogo é o fato ele não ter um suporte para controles (pelo menos o meu não funciono nele ).
Maytroid é um bom jogo para passa o tempo é eu o recomendo.
It's ok. Just ok...passable I would say. It's really rough around the edges and could use some extra time in the oven, mainly with switches and doors being really hard to see, along with many enemies that come after you. Some spikes are blocked by foreground graphics too, which will result in many deaths. However you always respawn in the room you were in so that's a good thing.
Graphics, controls and music are all good though.
This game is putting me through it and i did not expect that. Good ♥♥♥♥

A principio ele parece bem divertido (infelizmente só dura na primeira hora de jogo) depois ele fica cansativo, a historia é confusa, os dialogos são aleatórios, não há orientação nenhuma do que fazer ou onde ir, os "upgrades" que deveriam ser um desafio é a coisa mais fácil de obter basta achar um portal com inimigos dos dois lados e ficar matando (já que eles sempre reaparecem)
CONTRAS
-os ataques a distancia são praticamente todos Inúteis ( o melhor tiro é o explosivo)
-os ataques corpo a corpo não servem pra nada (durante o jogo você nem vai lembrar que isso existe)
-o dash (se é que da pra chamar de dash) mais atrapalha que ajuda, alem de não ir longe ele é em diagonal para baixo.
-os cenários são bem feitos, (até certo ponto), espinhos no chão que se camuflam ao mapa, lazer que te mata em um hit (que também se camufla com as cores do mapa), você vai morrer muitas vezes pela combinação desses dois fatores sem perceber que estão lá escondidos.
PROS
- os efeitos sonoros e musicas são agradáveis.
- os controles respondem bem.
- as artes dos personagens/inimigos são muito bonitas
E se mesmo assim você quiser comprar tenha um controle pois jogar no teclado é horrível.

It's only recommended because of how cheap it is and the generous steam sales it gets. You're going to get what you paid for, for the value you paid, for better or worse.
Definetly a good sequel to the previous game, really enjoyed it. The art is good as well. I played on the hardest difficulty and it was challenging but not impossible definetly recommended.
It actually IS a nice (but very short) action metroidvania game.
I gave up on the section where you guide the fast-moving sphere... Yes, I'm bad at fast-paced platformers. However, the visuals and music are atmospheric and the plot is intriguing. So it's totally worth trying for all the fans of platformers.
P.S. I've gathered enough points to unlock the gallery though, he-he. ^_^ The gallery in the Teleportals still my favorite though...
While competent in some regards, the platforming and hazards gets tiresome. I could see some folk enjoying it but it didn't draw me in, I was really struggling to keep interested for the last 15 minutes of play, had already unlocked the alternate fire modes and only one of them really did anything for me. Character art is good, some of the monsters are good, but that's about all I can say as a positive.
Um metroidvania curto e bem desafiador, a história é importante claro, mas entrar toda hora em uma lugar novo pra ler lore é um saco, deveriam ter colocado em certos momentos da jogatina. O bom que dá para tirar dialogo nas opções. Sobre a galeria, é um galeria sem duvida alguma. Eu tive que rodar o jogo em uma mini tela, na opção tela cheia fica com um lag danado. Vou passar um pano enorme por causa do preço. É um jogo que eu não jogarei de novo. :D

If you don't know if you will like Maytroid, there are two thing you should do:
1. Search for "Geometry May. I swear it's a nice free game" on Steam and try the game out. It's a free to play game from PixelGreeds and, while it's not really the same, it will help you grasp the idea of what kind of stuff you are getting yourself into.
2. If that wasn't enough, get "Teleportals. I swear it's a nice game". It's only $0.99 (or $0.49 during sales) and have fun. Personally, I think it's the best PixelGreeds game and I had the most fun playing it.
So how is it with "Maytroid. I swear it's a nice game too"? Try to guess. Yup, the dev didn't lied, again. At first I was pushed back because I thought the metroidvania will be too hard for me to enjoy, but I was mistaken. I was hoping to get a similar feelings I had while playing "Teleportals..." and I got them. The game is fun, challenging, and totally worth every money.
Also, there is a very nice guide in case you will be lost and if you think you are doing something wrong, or running in circles.
I swear it's not really a nice game either
This was definitely the hardest "recommend" I've had to make thus far, if it cost any more it would've been a no. but the gameplay is just interesting enough and bosses just different enough that it edged it in. It's a journey of May (a scientist's attempt at gentically splicing a caps lock key and the metaphysical concept of angst), Ron (nice guy who does make a Kim Possible reference), and a games developer who I'm not convinced has ever seen a sibling before. Together you will basically be megaman with unexplained powers!
I do mean unexplained. May doesn't know where they came from or how she keeps getting them, literally cannot connect the dots that she gets them after absorbing boss energy and has to have it spelled out to her. Also unexplained as in you do not know what they do until you stumble out of the boss fight wondering what that did and trying to find what faded out item is now visible.
Ask yourself such thrilling questions as "Is that floor or a pit?" "Have I head the word sister as much this month as I have this minute?" "Why does the gray area's foreground cover the floor? "Why are the controls on I J K L?" and of course "Was that intended or a glitch?" Discover the tale of May as she struggles to stop yelling 'sister killer' over exposition and insulting her friend long enough to escape the grasp of a terrible sister kill- I mean, masked villain.
For all the gripes, it plays like you dropped megaman into a metroid game with a little inspiration from what the achievements suggest is dark souls. While it feels like some elements were inserted without the developer actually grasping why they were so good in their respective games, the game is decent. Couple hours you get out of it is worth the dollar or two you put into it. Also the censored pinups aren't bad, outside being out of place and censored. Kinda felt like the old school reward of beating metroid and seeing Samus, getting extra cash lets you buy censored pics. The pics are in series of three- first pic is somewhat covered, the second is the same in something skimpy, then finally one in nude with the bits starred out. the last being honestly more censored than the mid tier in many cases, but there is a patch available on the forums if you need it. They're decent, but I personally couldn't be bothered to put in that much effort for what you get out of it.
I swear it really IS a nice game too.
So this is a follow up to a free game the developer released called Geometry May. I'm not sure what the titles mean, but we assume the control of the same character in both; a young girl called May. Unlike the previous title which was an endless runner with shooter elements, this one gives full control over to the player. Maytroid would suggest that this is a Metroidvania, but I think that's a little generous as there are only three distinct areas to explore / bosses to defeat / powerups to obtain. I believe it is possible to tackle these in any order as I obtained the third powerup before the second.
The gameplay like it's predecessor is pretty slick. Controls are tight, again I used an X-Box One controller but keyboard is also supported and I would imagine equally responsive. There were times I favoured the D-pad while certain sections really needed the analogue stick.
The story is a continuation of the previous game, and we follow May on her quest to find her mother. This time the story is told as a narrative throughout the game. It is used as a way of letting the player know they are on the right path as the talking heads only appear when you are headed towards new areas and your ultimate goal.
Like the previous game, there are a few gameplay mechanics introduced throughout the game and it will definitely take some skill and perseverance to reach the final showdown. Having finished this game, the story of the previous game makes more sense and I'm glad I gave them both a chance.
Graphically the game employs much the same pixel art assets as the previous outing. While hardly AAA quality, they are perfectly serviceable. Again, if you are a fan of anime girls, the developer has some interesting patches available on his Discord to unlock more of the art gallery pictures than would usually be visible!
Gameplay is solid, mechanics and controls are tight. There are some frustrating sections which brought waay more swearing than I expected of myself, but everything is manageable in the end as long as you are prepared to replay and learn from your mistakes. I should note that death is not punished too severely. I'm not a very good gamer, but I was able to 100% this after five hours (although some of that time the game was running idle while I went about daily life).
Once again the music is particularly good and I would definitely pick up the OST if it were released. Hint hint developer!
All in I enjoyed my time revisiting this strange world and delving deeper into the characters and the history of the universe.

Not bad, not good... It's not a metroidvania for sure, some sort of puzzle platformer, playable but not enjoyable enough for me. The only reason to recommend this is due the lack of a neutral option. My biggest complain is thanks to the gameplay itself, very awkward and unresponsive, also, the first boss was boring and uninspiring, so I just gave up on this. The other game of the devs, Teleportals, I think, was much more pleasant IMO.
As much as I hate to give a small cheap indie game a negative review, I just don't find much redeeming about this game. First off, it's not a metroidvania at all, "movement" abilities aren't really that, you just can use existing "eye" points in various rooms. There's no point to backtracking ever. You get a handful of upgrades before the second boss, and you're done.
It's much closer to a "hardcore" platformer, with tons of environmental hazards, instant-death spikes, walls, pits, and lasers everywhere. The controls are OK but honestly not good enough for what the game asks you to do, and both the dash and the down-kick are incredibly inconsistent for i-frames and timing, even when I force lock my screen to 60hz (because the game gets even jankier at higher frame rates).
I got to the final boss and just don't care to finish. It's a tedious fight and the movement mechanics make the timings super inconsistent which makes it feel pointless to retry since it feels more like luck than anything. I was excited to see a little indie metroidvania game, the lewd gallery is whatever, but this just isn't that.
"Action-platformer with Metroidvania map" does [i]not[/i] suggest it's not a metroidvania - most metroidvanias would count as action-platformers. This is closer to a "challenge-platformer" like Super Meat Boy than a metroidvania. The name implies metroidvania. The description of the movement "abilities" suggest a metroidvania.
The inconsistencies I mention are exactly as I described. I did a drop kick from the same height 5 times and get hit by a blue laser 3 of those 5. Same for dashing, there was no way for me to time the dash for the final boss side-on attack, because sometimes it just hit me in mid-dash anyway. This was with me forcing the game to cap at 60mhz, it's possible it's tied to the fact the game breaks at different frame rates (which alone is a reason to not recommend it unless it was outstanding in every other aspect).
That also applies to the controls - I was using a controller so no issues with ghosting (and my keyboard doesn't have that issue), but sometimes the input for drop kick worked right away, sometimes it just didn't happen. Dash was even worse at registering. Before you blame my controller, it has worked fine in literally every other game I've ever used it on, before and since.

1.之前說好有中文版本卻之後完全沒釋出(2018/10/21的時候有說要做,今天都2020/03/01了)
2.怪物的變化真的很少
3.關卡有一定的方式打BOSS(雖然是開放的但還是沒有很自由)
4.吸引眼球的方式遊戲內沒有實屬有點難受
5.關卡簡短沒有關係,只是後面玩到有點乏味

Пару слов о геймплее. Сложно даже на средней сложности, а тут ещё и две посложнее. Я говорил что Maytriod казуалам не верит? Чтобы пройти первых трёх основных боссов, надо не только дойти до них, но ещё и найти к ним верный путь, так как возможность пользоваться бонуса или окружением нам даёт убийство очередного босса.Сохранения ограничиваются переходами между комнатами, а чем дальше – тем масштабнее или сложнее комната!
Играя собираешь местную валюту, за которую можешь прокачать персонажа или докупить ей более мощный “бластер”, и ещё купить галерейные арты, всего их десять и на каждый есть три вариации. Лекарство от цензуры, вы сами знаете где искать[/i][b]^.^[/b][i](в руководствах).

Well, it's not a [i] baaad [i] game, but it's also isn't something I would call a "nice" game. It's fairly middling, so if you're into hard-ish platformers with annoying bosses, this may be up your alley. If it's on sale at least.

Geez, I'm not even sure where to start with this.
- Is it gimmicky and shameless for the developer to try selling what is ultimately a mediocre game by pasting mediocre CG hentai on top of it? Yes.
- Is it, despite that, a game that's actually enjoyable to play, if quite short? Also yes.
- Does its price reflect everything I've just said? Yes, I think it does.
Let's get into some of the details.
[i]Maytroid[/i] is a game that gives me a bunch of weird, conflicting feelings. I'm by no means an expert in the Metroidvania genre, but, in my opinion, [i]Maytroid[/i] seems to be a typical, if short and not terribly complex, example of the genre. But I don't want to let my reticence give you the wrong impression -- there's definitely some tight gameplay here and some pretty decent sprite animations. Someone has put some [b]work[/b] into this game, you know?
I write erotica professionally, so I feel the thing I'm most qualified to talk about in a game is the writing. To be honest, I wasn't expecting the grim story that I got. Sure, the characters aren't particularly well-designed or interesting, and the dialogue isn't the best, but the idea behind the story -- that is, the complex, high-fantasy, psychological-horror premise of the setting -- is oddly compelling. Is it badly in need of an editor to make it more coherent? Yes, absolutely.
I've always believed that narrative should dovetail naturally with gameplay. And, yes, I understand that [i]Maytroid[/i] is a throwback to the trend in old Japanese games where you'd have some typical gameplay (shmups, Metroidvanias, card games, etc.) dressed up with unthematic porn incentives -- but we don't *have* to live in that era anymore. We can combine the story with the porn, now, and make them work as a thematically-coherent whole! We have the technology.
I'd like to see a version of Maytroid that incorporates sexuality into the narrative framework of the game itself. But I guess I'm just a weirdo. (Also, the game needs some way to go back and replay the dialogue you've missed. I found myself accidentally skipping it a few times.)
The game's dialogue strongly hints that you don't actually have to kill any of the bosses. [spoiler]The second boss in particular doesn't really put much effort into fighting you -- she just lies down and lets you kill her, essentially. It would be nice if we could spare her, or maybe get an alternate ending by sparing her. That would be a good opportunity to include some additional erotic aspects![/spoiler] Unfortunately, the game doesn't seem to have any alternate paths; it's pretty linear. And I'm guessing, based on that, that you don't get better rewards with increased difficulty. That's a missed opportunity, I feel.
The quality of the pornographic CG art that you unlock is ... I'll be charitable and call it [b]nostalgic[/b]. It's comparable to the kind of artwork you'd find in Japanese H-games from the late 1990s. I don't find it particularly erotic -- but I feel that's because it's missing the narrative [i]oomph[/i] the story needs to make us connect with those characters and find them attractive in the first place. The best porn either has engaging characterization or a striking, visually-unique aesthetic.
So -- here's a summary of my [i]Maytroid[/i] review: the gameplay feels right, but the game is short in length. There aren't many weapon/character upgrades, so there isn't much to do with money once you've unlocked the upgrades and the gallery. Some of the weapons just aren't that useful. The characters aren't that interesting, and the dialogue is wonky, but the story is actually kind of intriguing. The erotic artwork is mediocre. Again, the really low price reflects all of this. My suggestion? If you are going to buy it, buy it while it is on sale, and buy it with the mindset of, "I want to encourage developers to make games like this, except better."
I guess what I'm saying is that [i]Maytroid[/i], despite all of its shortcomings, doesn't feel at all like the kind of garbage that gets thrown up on Steam just to make a quick buck. It feels ... like a game that someone made for a specific purpose.
And that's remarkable.
Overall, a decent metroidvania game made by, basically, one man. Gameplay is good and challenging enough (even though the majority of upgrades are useless). Graphics are nothing special. Music is bland and forgettable, but without a doubt the games biggest issue is it's plot. There clearly was an attempt to make it interesting, with humor and drama at the same time, even some grey morality, but everything is spoiled by creengy, fanfiction level writing (full of mistakes) and an incredibly anticlimactic ending.
Gameplay makes this game worth it's money, but you really need to lower your expectations.

Oyunun ismine güvenin. Demem gerekn tek şey bu. Kısa bir süreliğine oynamak istediğiniz zor bir platformer oynamak istiyorsanız bu oyun sizin günlük iyi hissetmenizi sağlayabilir. Ayrıca oyunun garifkleri baydırıcı değil ve mekanikleri akıcı. 4.20 tllik bir oyun için verdiğiniz paradan fazlasını veriyor. Sonuç olarak 8/10 verebilirim parasına karşılık, 10 tl olsa hakediyor diyebilirim.

关卡设计的很是精妙，莫名其妙的就窜出一个光头（划掉），喜欢受苦的玩家可以试试。
但是手感不是很好，动作很棒，但是按键总是有莫名的延迟，每个动作都需要一些预判才能很好的玩下去。
假如能改善按键和动作之间的延迟，就能算是很棒的act小品了。

Honestly it's a really fun, short game. I played on Warrior (Normal) mode, and some parts are kinda difficult, but not extremely hard or anything. Would probably play it again on higher settings later on.
There 4 kind of bullet type you can use, and all of them can be useful in certain areas (admittedly didn't use the rapid blue one much). Boss battles can be intense and you'd want to switch to the right bullets at the right time. Don't forget to melee and slide too.
Didn't really understand much about the story tbh, but the characters' dialogues and story that pop out as you play through the game are pretty interesting, made me explore all the areas just to read them.
And the gallery has some great stuff ngl. Nice art m8 ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
If you like platformer games then [b]definitely[/b] give this game a try, plus it's pretty cheap, cheaper than a Snicker bar.

The combat in the game is kind of crap. You have a melee attack, a ranged attack, and a dodge that takes 5-10 seconds to regain a charge and only holds two charges. Meanwhile, the first boss has attacks that spam multiple staggered fast projectiles, one of which I still can't figure out how to not take damage from, gets to summon adds that hover where you can't hit them and spam additional projectiles without a timer, and has a teleporting attack which comes from a random direction, one of which gives you no time to react to it. There's hard and there's unfair, and this leans heavily toward the latter in my opinion.

I like the game. Nice batch of challenge and fun gameplay, it may be just because I haven't beaten Geometry May or even played Teleportals, but the game's story or lack there of is vague at best. 90% of the time I don't understand what's happening. I'm a fond believer of don't have the same adventure throughout several games/books/movies. I feel like the story aspect would be better if it was new adventure possibly connected or related to the previous one. But, what makes this game 10/10 is that gallery though beat the game just to unlock the full gallery.
A really well made and surprisingly deep Metroidvania-Lite. Solid level design of platform and light puzzle elements. Multiple weapons that are pretty useful. Tough and incredibly engaging boss fights. Absolutely gorgeous sprite work. Interesting story that has more to it than first seems.
Don't let the preview images and the fact that there is a pointless gallery of ladies give you the wrong impression. Maytroid is worth your $2 and 3-ish hour of playtime.
The font choice is a bit jarring, and the dialog can be a bit obviously ESL in places. The controls take some getting used to, and it desperately needs d-pad support. Still, for 1.99, it's worth the price of admission.
Missing tags "Difficult" - "Puzzle-Platformer"; it's a nice game too, but dying a lot is normal.
O jogo é excelente, uma história interessante, jogabilidade fluida e a arte é muito bonita. Só a galeria que é completamente desconexa com a história, é quase como entrar num site de fanart de R64 com a protagonista do jogo. Mas pelo menos da pra esconder a galeria, então é aceitável.

Few powerups, and no real need to backtrack and explore previous areas with new abilities, makes it not quite a Metroidvania.
Pros: Fairly challenging, well written and interesting plot.
Cons: Short, and a couple of encounters are frustrating and felt like cheesing it was the only way to get past them.

Maytroid es un juego estilo Metroidvania muy entretenido que vale la pena probar.
Lo primero que podría reseñar es que el contenido erótico únicamente se ve reflejado en una serie de imágenes ubicadas en la galería y un par de jefas finales que pelearán en paños menores, pues, por lo demás, nos encontramos con una pequeña aventura que si bien es muy corta, nos proporcionará un par de horas de diversión por las que vale la pena pagar lo poco que cuesta, además de que la música del juego me ha parecido lo suficientemente buena como para introducirnos en el ambiente en el que nos vamos a encontrar.
Además, los controles son muy suaves, nuestra protagonista reaccionará muy bien a los movimientos que hagamos con el mando.
Let me start out that I appreciate the old school difficulty of the level and the work that went behind this game, that being said there are a few flaws that frustrate me: 1) The platforming is clunky, just getting from spot to spot can be difficult and it becomes even more so when the terrain disappears and you are forced to kill the character and start all over; 2) the controls translation from keyboard to controller needs some tweaking, I can't access all of my weapons with the controller; 3) the artwork, while fantastic, shouldn't be censored, I was promised nudity and instead I get stars over the good bits. All in all I give the game a 3.5/5, which will definitely go up to a 5/5 when and if these issues are addressed.
Maytroid is a solid Metroidvania style run, slash, and shoot your way through the map game. The story at times did leave a little something as there seemed to be a lot that simply didn't get answered within the game itself but made me hungry to dive deeper and hopefully discover whatever this or that meant. Why they were there, how they got there, etc. Gameplay wise combat had a little depth to it, but I wound up solving most problems by just shooting them til they were dead. The puzzles and platforming were the real challenge for me and I enjoyed that.
If you'e a fan of the Metroidvania genre, then I believe you'll probably enjoy this one. Pixelgreeds put more work into this then I've seen in games that cost ten times as much. (The price is 1.99 at the time of this posting.)

Playing this after Geometric May I'm not quite sure what order these go in. As all the skills in Geometric May is power ups in this game. At least it prepared me well in advance to how this game would play.
Unless I missed something, this game has a lot less motivation for exploration than a regular metroidvania. The only thing to pick up is points, which can be used for gallery and powerups. Which you can get repeatedly from the same rooms if you want to. So I just went whatever route I found between the bosses until the game was cleared.
But this publishers games seem to be linked storywise so it creates a nice little world where you can get more if you buy more of the games. Which is a nice touch.
The gallery section is a vast improvement to the free to play geometrical may, making it a bit better investment now that this product cost money and isn't free. It is still not in any form amazing like the kind you can get in Visual Novels, but it is a nice bonus.
I played on the normal difficulty, and feel no need to play the game more. But there are two higher difficulties in the case that you'd enjoy the game and want to challenge yourself more.
Что тут скажешь... Запал на разраба после teleportals. Первые 4 часа с горем пополам полз до финала попутно отхватывая от боссов люлей. И вот он, финал, на котором сижу уже в сумме 2 час. Говорю в сумме потому, что через 15-20 минут от напряжения и гнева начинается тремор пальцев правой руки. И всё вот это вот только на нормале, смотрел психов-раннеров которые на раз два бьют на харде и... В общем если ты такой же криворукий как я, то сначала подумай хорошенько перед тем как выбрать рекомендуемую сложность.

Ich war mir zuerst nicht sicher - aber es ist wirklich ein gutes Spiel! :D
Der interessante Titel hat mich neugierig gemacht und der niedrige Preis schließlich zum Kauf verleitet. Und ich muss sagen, das Spiel ist jeden Cent wert! Als Kind der 80er liebe ich Metroidvania Pixel Spiele und die müssen auch nicht leicht sein. Das Spiel erfüllt beides, 2d Hüpf- und Schieß-Action mit teilweise hefigen Passagen.
Gameplay:
Die verschiedenen Fähigkeiten bringen etwas Abwechslung in das ansonsten sehr geradlinige Gameplay. Die Steuerung ist überraschend präzise (bei Spielen dieser Art ein KO-Kritierium, wenn sich die Figur schwammig steuert), wenn auch stellenweise hart zu meistern (z.B. Räume mit den bewegten Laserstrahlen). Aber nichts, was man mit genügend Übung, und Frustrationstoleranz nicht schaffen kann. :D Ebenso die Bosse, hart, aber machbar.
Das Spiel ist sehr fordernd. Man wird sterben. Oft. Sehr oft. Aber die Safepoints sind fair (Beginn des Raumes) und wenn man aussteigt beginnt man genau in dem Raum, aus dem man ausgestiegen ist.
Audio:
Soundeffekte passen, ebenso die Musik, kein Highlight, aber auch kein Negativpunkt.
Grafik:
Überraschend gut. Also das Spiel, nicht die Bildchen. ;) In Summe feine Pixelart, flüssig dargestellt. Mir gefällts!
Wer sich an den Bildchen stößt - man muss sie nicht freischalten und sie sind in einer eigenen Galerie geparkt, das Spiel selbst ist ein ganz normales unanstößliches 2d Spiel.
Story:
Gibts auch, ist ganz ok, etwas generisch aber dem Umfang des Spiels entsprechend.
Fazit: Ein gutes Metroidvania, sehr gut sogar vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her. Der Schweinkram wird in Kombination mit dem Titel zur Aufmerksamkeitsgenerierung genutzt, was legitim ist. Das Spiel selbst ist zu dem Preis aber so gut, dass das meiner Meinung nach gar nicht nötig gewesen wäre. Kategorie "Hidden Gem", wenn man diese Art Spiele im Geist der 90er mag.

メトロイドヴァニアゲー。敵を倒したり人魂のようなものを回収するとポイントが貯まり、それを使って装備の強化やCGギャラリーの開放が可能。
エリアが変わるたびに插入されるストーリー会話は全編英語なので頑張りましょう。私はストーリーなんかよりもエロ画像の開放に勤しむため全部飛ばしました。絵がかわいい。無修正パッチは作者のディスコードチャンネルからどうぞ。
ゲームの楽しさという点は、単調な即死リトライ系なので盛り上がりには欠ける。だが心を無にして夜中遊ぶには200円は十分満足です。夜行性の性欲兄貴にオススメ。

全クリしたので追記。
私がクリアしたのは一番簡単な難易度（4段階ある）で、2時間弱で全ボス倒せました。メトロイドヴァニア風のゲームですが全てのマップを回る必要はなく、というか最初からマップが全公開されている状態なのでひたすらボスを探して撃破する感じ。
ボスを倒すとエリアに点在するギミックが開放されて移動範囲が増える仕組み。敵を倒したり集めた人魂でポイントが貯まり、ショットを追加で3種類ゲット可能。他にもダッシュ強化、体力上限UP、SPゲージ上限UPにポイントを使用できます。
2時間弱でソコソコ楽しめてムフフCGが10種類くらい開放されて3/11まで123円で買えるなら大いにアリ。絵が可愛いのと意外と丁寧に作ってあるので今後の作品にも期待。
ストーリーは最後までわかりませんでしたが、自分の影との葛藤みたいなのがテーマなのかも。性欲に任せてプレイするもんじゃありませんね。
这个游戏6块钱打折入的，不能要求更多，更何况还是自己非常喜欢的类恶魔城游戏。
但是该说的还是要说，这个游戏的手感实在是太差，不论是人物移动的手感，还是打击感再到其他种种，都太差了，不推荐。
I beat 3 bosses so far. They are pretty hard but reasonable. But the platforming is torturingly hard. I quit the game after dying too many times in the same level, and I think I am just at the beginning of the game too.
Considering the games pornographic marketing and 2$ price tag I did'nt expect alot out of it, but Im a big metroidvania fan so I decided to give it a try and was far from disapointed. It really is a nice metroidvania, with hints of celeste thrown in, it definitely gets hard in places but you respawn in the same room you die in so it's never discouraging and the game genuinely has some of the best platforming i've plaid in a while and the bosses are all really interesting. Also the story is surpriseingly deep, if your concernd about the porn dont be it's super non intrusive just hidden behind a gallery in the menu. Buy it, play it, it's 2$ give it a whirl
Enjoyable action platformer with tight controls. Has a difficulty select, nice addition to not be so brutal as Yissa. Confusing story. Nice gallery (perhaps not quite as nice as Teleportals). Fun stuff.
Неплохой визуальный стиль, приятная галерея и, пожалуй, на этом плюсы заканчиваются. У игр этой серии есть потенциал, но раскроется ли он – непонятно. Сюжет можно пропустить, он никак не цепляет. Я даже не хочу тратить время на написание обзора сюжета как такового: его надо целиком переработать. В подобных играх мне, прежде всего, интересны загадки, паззлы и т.п. задачи, необходимые для продвижения по сюжету, а попрыгушки по платформам вторичны. Тупое зазубривание нажатий клавиш с постоянным респавном из-за малейшей ошибки не то что утомляет, это раздражает. В моём понимании игра – это способ отдыха и развлечения. А тут что? Разработчик явно хочет, чтобы игрок страдал и получал от этого удовольствие. Короче, такое развлечение на специфического любителя.
И вот, автор снова не соврал. It's a nice game too. Диалоги, как и в прошлый раз, отличные. Глобальный для обеих частей сюжет интригует, рисовка радует, музыка прекрасно подчёркивает картинку, а геймплей... тут всё не так просто. Хотя окей, для своей стоимости придраться вообще не к чему. Но если абстрагироваться от количества авторов, от стоимости проекта, то к геймплею можно высказать несколько нареканий. Во-первых, геймплей жутко выглядит, как Celeste на ещё более минималках, чем тамошний пиксель. (кстати, да, это прямо исчерпывающее описание всей игры - Celeste на минималках и с боёвкой).
Оттуда взяты очень многие идея для геймплея, в частности, способности героини - Даш, превращение в каплю, глаза, обнуляющие второй прыжок и прочие...
Но вот с управлением какая-то неочевидная беда, ощущаемая лишь на микромоментах. А ещё баг, когда ты делаешь удар в воздухе за секунду до приземления, а при приземлении анимация сбрасывается, и почти мгновенно получается второй удар. И где-то на уровне перехода между анимациями и резкими сменами направления движения происходит микропровис движения героини, отчего довольно скоро пропадает желание проходить игру на высокой сложности. Да, я говорю о том, что персонаж недостаточно отзывчивый, чтобы хардкорить. Потому что если проходить игру на самом харде, то у меня не должно быть причин винить игру за то, что она задерживает команды. А ведь даже на норме игра требует от игрока более-менее ювелирности в движениях. Впрочем, учитывая послабления, такие задержки уже не слишком мешают, не создают такого челленджа, чтобы бомбить со всех щелей на игру.
При всех своих заимствованиях и смене жанра с квеста на метроидванию, Maytroid таки осталась верна своей прежней части, сохранила стилистику и идеи очень многих моментов. Иначе говоря, целостность мира не нарушена, ты абсолютно точно ощущаешь себя в том же мире, но за совершенно другого персонажа. И жутко интересно, что же ждёт на следующий раз?
А, и да. Сразу полностью открытая игроку карта сильно облегчает поиск верного пути, позволяет не заходить в ненужные тупики ради... ради денег, которые очень скоро становятся не нужны, ибо регулярно обворовывая тупики, игрок набивает карманы очень быстро, очень быстро выкупает весь лут и раскрывает галерею. И не то, чтобы это был минус, что галерея открывается столь легко - я бы не хотел пылесосить мир ещё несколько часов просто ради артов. Но вот то, что игра отбивает интерес залезть в локацию, которая к изучению необязаельна - это минус.
Но тем не менее, затраченного времени абсолютно не жалко. Буду с удовольствием ждать продолжения истории.

This game is obviously a parody of Metroid - and as metroivania lover, I need to play it.
Unlike the previous game from PixelGreed (Teleportals), its controls are much better... until you get the "virus" ability.
the first part of the game is not too hard (except the bosses)... but it changes when you need to advance... some areas are tough as nails and can make you easily rage-quit (specially the ones the need the "virus" ability) !
its a HARDCORE plataformer disguised as a metroidvania If. So, if you like both genres, you will like this game.

Разраб подставился бонусом - порнография со звездами, купальников вполне достаточно. Нерабочий кей биндинг, бозовое управление запутано.
По механикам телепорт автора показался более интересным:
- Игрок большой, управление запутано, теряется динамика в бою;
- Врагов мало и они кажутся однотипными за счет одинаковых габаритов;
- По сюжету ощущение, что нужно играть или предыдущие игры, или что-то пошло не так+);
- Рисовка персонажей и уровней отличается, уровни уж совсем из 80ых, а персонажи выглядят пексель-латекстными под 8 бит.
Хоть и уважаю усилия Инди, но рекомендовать эту игру увы не буду.

Despite the odd title and relatively low price, this game is really well balanced with the uncensor patch, all things considered.
The graphics and music are surprisingly decent, and the story is ok and with relatively few typos if you bother to read it. There are also lewd pictures of the titular May and the bosses that you can unlock with credits (and not by losing to/defeating them, which is a nice change of pace compared to similar games). While pretty vanilla and unimpressive on their own, when considering the game's content in it's entirety and how insignificant they are to the story/gameplay, it's an understandable compromise.
The gameplay is actually really challenging on the Warrior (normal) difficulty, but luckily you can adjust the difficulty and the controls are tight (most of the time). Also, the game saves and creates a check-point every time you enter a room, which is convenient, considering how often you'll probably die during the more difficult segments.
Combined with how non-advancement upgrades (and the already-mentioned lewd pics in the gallery) are all bought with farmable money, you can teleport to previously-defeated boss rooms at any time, and that the entire map is visible from the get-go, the game is relatively stress-free despite the difficult platforming.
TL;DR: Commendably, "Maytroid. I swear it's a nice game too" sets a new standard on what you can expect from other games in it's price thanks to it's fun, challenging gameplay with decent length, pretty good assets and story, and the inclusion of H content.

При прохождении сталкиваюсь с трудностями, например " как пройти тут, если перепробовал все способы...".
Боссы реально сложные и не просто сложные, а супер-мега сложные, чтобы их победить, стоит попотеть и потратить нервишки. Огромный плюс, что к боссам нужен особый подход и думать над тактикой как их уничтожить ( но я всё равно не победил ни одного босса).
Было бы приятно увидеть в обновлении (если будет) умеренную прокачку перса, а то как по мне данная прокачка оч слабая.
Так же приятно будет, если пофиксите некоторые места, где пройти невозможно. (или возможно, но как - нет идей).
И конечно, спасибо за игру :D
Click for the bait, stay for the fun! Indescribably solid game. Good mechanics, inspired level design, rewarding difficulty. Different from Teleportals in a lot of good ways, the action flows easily. This guy deserves a medal! Lewdness is not in game, so the intriguing storyline and level-to-level flow is not interrupted. I fear the pics may dissuade some- but you can spend the points on upgrades instead of chick-pics! Worth twice the price any day!
Maytroid is easily a fun platform game that's a steal for two dollars. While the keyboard mapping is odd at first sight it's easy to get adjusted to or change it in the main menu. As for the gameplay itself it runs like Contra or Metroid as your forced to combat enemies while platforming.
The thing that sets Maytroid apart is its nonlinear level progression in that there's many ways to reach certain rooms or bypass them all together. The inclusion of a story also helps in that it gives the main character personality making her more relatable even though her situation is bizarre. While I had some trouble following along at some points it was interesting enough to hold my interest.

Начнем с того, что я в этой игре не мог нормально ориентироваться. Наверное у меня заняло два, а то и три часа, чтобы найти первого босса. После второго я плюнул и пошел смотреть чужое прохождение. Карта здесь уебанская, не всегда знаешь действительно ли проход приведет тебя в ту локацию, в которую ты действительно хотел попасть.
Платформинг — ад, я не мог пройти одну локацию только потому, что там надо было выполнить дайв-кик на пиле. Кому вообще придет в голову прыгать на циркулярную пилу? Не говоря уже о том, что препятствия тут расставлены так, что пройдешь их с раза двадцатого.
С трудом на нормальном уровне сложности я добрался до последнего босса. Ладно, нас на первом этапе заставляют драться сразу с двумя, я это сделал. Но последняя фаза меня убила. Там нужно одновременно стрелять, прыгать и фазировать сквозь снаряды. Но в настройках нет возможности переназначить кнопки, в итоге я был вынужден стрелять и прыгать большим пальцем и делать рывок на триггере средним. От этого у меня быстро устали пальцы.
Кроме того в игре баг, после касания огненного шторма персонаж почему-то переключается на гранатомет.
Разработчик, если ты это читаешь — ты пидор.
Pixel Greed (Dev) is a sweetheart and very nice guy, But Godamn do I cuss at him when I play this game. Fun game but Godamn does it piss me off!

まず私の環境ではオプションいじってもBGMが流れませんでした。
ゲームとしては名前通りメトロイドヴァニアですが、ショップで遠距離攻撃の射撃パターンを購入できたり、ダッシュを強化したり、ライフ上限やダッシュに使うスタミナ上限を強化可能。
強化アイテムがマップに落ちてたりはしません。
また、ESCキーを押してメニューを開く、と最初から言ったこともない場所のマップが全部表示されます。
ボスの居る場所も全てです。
この2つにより手探りでマップを埋めていき、それでアイテムを集めて強くなっていくという、メトロイドヴァニアの醍醐味が完全に殺されています。
行動範囲の制限解除は、ボスを倒すと対応した仕掛けがアクティブになり使用できるようになる感じです。
ただし、ボスを倒してその仕掛けが使えるようになっても、どういうアクションが出来るか、どう言った効果があるのかは一切説明がありません。
楽しみを殺す余計な親切はあるのに必要な部分は不親切。
アクションゲームとしてもライフはあるものの即死要素がやたら多くて、1つのフロアを通り過ぎるのに何度も死ぬので、テンポも悪くストレスが掛かりがち。
死んだらそのフロアの入り口から再開なので、リトライしやすい点だけは褒められるポイントでしょうか。
メトロイドヴァニア的な楽しさを求めておらず、安くて難易度の高いゲームをしたいならありかもしれませんが、オススメはできません。
This is a really weird game, to the point where I don't really know how to begin this.
The first thing that comes to mind when trying to describe this game is "obtuse". When I first statrted playing, I was completely confused as onto what the game was expecting of me. Sure, getting from point A to B is a simple enough objective, but, where am I going to, exactly? What am I aiming for, here? How do I know that I'm going in the right direction? But most importantly: what do all these things around me do and why are they there?
The game seems to be designed as some sort of metroidvania, however, backtracking is very limited and mostly useless, since you won't find equipment or useful items by going back to previous areas. In fact, the only reason why you'd backtrack is to find that one room that you could not pass through before and you don't know if it was because the game is hard as balls, or because you were lacking somethnig, since the game won't tell you whenever you have a new skill, nor what it does, and simply let's you guess.
And by "new skill" I mean, "you can now interact with a differently-coloured floating eyeball, which for some reason let's you do stuff, go figure out what that stuff is, though", which is really underwhelming.
The map seems to be separated in zones for reason, and certainly those zones look different, but that "different" offers no information nor anything valuable except for a slight change of background. The enemies are the same, the obstacles are the same, the puzzles are designed about the same ideas, etc.
Once you actually get the hang of what to do and how, the game is actually quite nice. Controls are tight, jumping feels good, and mechanics work the way they should. Though the game certainly does its best to lure the player into a death trap, most of the time death doesn't feel unfair, and instead shows that the player needs to rethink their strategy or simply get better. The problem here is that diffitulty has some really weird spikes. The first boss is harder than the second or the third, and some stages are notoriously more challenging than others that come at later parts of the game. Also, the game designer seems to think that players really, really want to get those extra souls that are on dangerous spots or extra rooms, but on my first playthrough I got more than enough souls to get all upgrades and more than half the gallery withou farming and without those souls, which makes the extra challenge a bit pointless.
I will still recommend this game because it's fun even with all its flaws, and because I think the developer deserves the chance to make more and better games. There's some real potential here, but it's still on the rough.
It's truu, this is a nicegame too.

From hat I have played so far, it's a good game.
No more not less.
I am somehow not liking certain things with the controls and colision detection, not sure what exactly.
I currently am in the room where the blue laser chases you.
and that room really sums up what s annoying me.
first and foremost:
IF I am running along the top of some falling platforms, not taking damage or having any other sort of delay, then I f*cking expect to not have some random block randomly starting to fall before I have f*cking crossed it!
happens quite randomly there, then I either (since I have the left arrow key pressed the whole time) fall beneth the next block and therefor into the spikes. or try to jump and hit the dumb spike ceiling also insta-dying.
And even if i manage to jump up back again onto the next block, that dumb b*tch just also starts to fall down before I can get back running (having left arrow pressed the whole time, so faster is impossible!)
And given that a certain laser and dumbf*ck owls are chasing me nonstop, stuff doesn't get easier either.
aside from that certain point, most of the game confuses me.
there's tons of different stuff, not sure if it's a switch a jump refresher, an enemy or what-not.
some sections just downright confuse me, as I run in 1 direction for many rooms just to find a dead end.
ran from the first merchant eternities along one path, just to relaize after like 20 minutes that there's no way to advance there.
so went the other wway which brought me to above mentioned scenario.
what also kind of s*cks is that enemies have all kinds of freedom, there's the bird enemy that in some cases jsut doesn't stay dead, enemies that can move in any direction, multidirection shots and stuff.
While I can literally only shoot left and right, with my quite bad gun that takes quite some amount of hits to kill even 1 enemy.
shop offers different guns, for lack of money couldn't buy them all yet.
but there don't seem to be any kind of upgrades,like shot speed or damage upgrade.
Not sure what I shoudl think of this game.
will play it, especially since it pisses me off with that certain coridor.
one thing I like is the story and the dialogues.
bu given how random I moved, I come to wonder of the next dialogues is triggered simply after entering a certain amount of rooms?
so going back and forth between rooms would trigger all the dialogue?
story is good, but some things in the combat and platforming annoy me.

Devil May Cry meets Megaman meets Metroid (hence the title combined with main protagonist's name) meets Hentai gallery.
May with the help of his best friend Ron enters the world of horrible abominations in search of something or someone.
There she encounters a strange woman who wants to escape the place... That's the premise of the story that will hook you for next several hours.
Gameplay. The game combines such elements as large skillset (something like Devil May Cry series has), interconnected world (reminds of Metroid series or Dark Souls 1), platforming (some moments took me back to Celeste) and visual novel style dialogues (the game is actually connected to the previous ones that the developer made so the we're starting to see the big picture).
May has a vast skillset that allows you to be dominant on the battlefield - when mastered you can literally toy with Lovecraftian horrors. During the game's highlights it looks like a great spectacle action.
Boss battles remind a lot of Furi bosses, only with side perspective - battles are intense, there a lot of bullets, attacks are incoming from everywhere, you need to combine your ranged and melee attacks, perform certain moves to replenish your health in order to keep yourself alive. Boss battles are not a test of endurance, but rather quick battles between two (or more) superheroes.
As for difficulty, there is an Acolyte mode and upgrade system that can help you if you're stuck in the game. But overall, on normal difficulty (that is called Warrior) I didn't have any problems beating the game. There are higher difficulties and even one called Maya Must Die (obvious reference to DMC; that's why the game reminds me of Devil May Cry in some departs) that I want to try out next.
Map system. In order to reach your goal, you must kill a boss and obtain the ability he provides. This ability will allow you to proceed further in the world (for example, violet balls that are floating in the air will greatly hasten your speed and black ones will give you access to a spirit form in which you'll be able to fly). Bosses can be killed in different order as having all the abilities is required only to enter the final section of the game. There are a lot of secrets and shortcuts if you're fan of exploring.
Story. Starting like a classic hero's journey it gets an unexpected twist in the middle and makes the finale sad in the way I don't expect from action stories - the characters often fall in the morally grey territory and make you (and you heroine) question your goal and the means you want to achieve them.
The gallery. Besides upgrading the protagonist, you can also spend points gained to unlock the pictures of partially or completely nude girl characters from the game (our heroine, bosses, side characters) like it was in a previous game of the developer. You gain a lot of points so it won't be a problem to unlock every picture and buy every upgrade in one run.
Overall, it's the absolute best game for the price it has. You won't see anything like that on Steam. 12 out 10!
A great mixture of action and exploration. Action makes you feel like a badass and gives you full control of main heroine May. The ability to explore the world in non-linear way made the world more immersive that worked extremely well in tandem with the story. Some story moments gave me shivers a lot of times (Miss Ao, I don't feel so good...). Best game of Pixel Greeds so far.
