Lunistice is an old-school game that really gave me strong Sonic the Hedgehog vibes, mixed with the aesthetic of Klonoa.
It’s a fast-paced, arcade-style speedrunner, and it’s honestly a lot of fun. The difficulty curve gets pretty challenging, especially in the later levels. Once you finish it, the game offers two additional characters for replayability, each with their own twists (like losing the triple jump but gaining more speed).
Overall, it’s a short experience—you can complete it in about 2–3 hours if you're aiming for S or A ranks on all runs.

Es un juego arcade estilo speedrunner. Está muy bueno. Es divertido. La curva de dificultad es bastante desafiante sobre todo llegando a los últimos niveles. Una vez lo terminás, te ofrece 2 personajes distintos para rejugarlo (cada uno con sus particularidades, como no tener triple salto pero correr más rápido). En lo general lo terminás rápido, como en unas 2 o 3 horas si querés sacar rank S o A en todas las runs.
¡Totalmente recomendable!

Great game, very enigmatic, fun platformer!
Um passion project de um desenvolvedor solo que funcionou muito bem. É perceptível o carinho e a dedicação que ele colocou no trabalho. É um plataforma 3D bastante simples e inspirado por clássicos do PS1 e Dreamcast que conta com fases curtas.
Tecnicamente se baseia em movimentação fluida com ritmo acelerado, o peso e velocidade de Hana são bons, mas poderia ser melhor polido em relação a algumas mecânicas. O level design é básico e quase totalmente linear, mas funciona bem dentro proposta do jogo.
Artisticamente é bem bonito, os cenários têm uma boa variação e os modelos são bem consistentes com a estética geral. O enredo é bem bobinho mas, ao menos estabelece um objetivo final. E a trilha e efeitos sonoros são interessantes, com algumas músicas mais legais que outras.
Vale a pena comprar em promoção e dar uma chance, especialmente se estiver buscando algo parecido com Toree.

Love this game, very simple and not too difficult but very fun. The old PS1/Nintendo DS-esque look is pretty nice and the music goes well with it. The levels themselves are all very fun and well made and you get through the game in 2 - 3 hours so you could just play through it an evening to relax but there's still a bit of replayability here so if I were to guess this game could probably be stretched to about 10 - 15 hours? Regardless absolutely worth it, especially for just 5 euro, go for it!
A tribute to classical 3d platformers but with modern gameplay. The game is difficult but not too much, you will get used to the rising difficulty eventually. Music is amazing, every track is an upbeat melody, a perfect background for a player trying to get through a level.
Would totally recommend you playing if you are into classical 3d platformers and if you want some challenge. The game offers different playable characters that can be viewed as different difficulty modes basically. Try to get EVERY achievement as well if you want to go hardcore.

A dream. What an amazing game. If Sonic had a saturn release, I'd have wanted it to be this. Obviously there's a lot lacking from a true Sonic saturn game, like no bosses, no special stages, but this plays a lot like what I'd imagine a game that came before Adventure 1 would play. It's so fun, a pure joy.
The controls are what shine the most to me. I can't believe how good it feels to control, like on par or better than the best of Mario's 3D adventures, mixed with some speed elements and sonic esque 'highways' to run on. Lots of rails to grind. 7 zones with 2 acts feels great, some long levels.
I'm excited for the big update planned.

brilliant little 3d platformer
Played on Steam Deck.
PSX platformer my beloved, Lunistice is great start to finish! The only reason I got this game is because Toree is a playable character and I'm glad I trusted Toree. The platforming is so simple and dialed in that each stage's environmental mechanic feels natural. The camera is smooth and the whole thing is a perfect fit for the steam Deck. The music is fitting and my favorite is 3-2 where the stage's 3 keys each unlock a layer of the track and the buildup feels so cool. There's a new song for each zone which only has two stages, a new song for each one feels luxurious! The final stage and secret final stage are both well done and even Toree gets his own unique bonus stage!!! It is clear special care was put into this game.
This game is exactly as described! It's charming, it's kind of cozy, the music is fantastic, and you can pull off some fun speedruning tricks if you learn the levels back to front! My biggest complaint is the collectibles, and how often the level design is unclear about what is progression and what is supposed to be a bonus section or secret.
Another issue I found was a lot of inconsistencies in the grinding and platforming. Jumping off of a rail will either launch you across the stage at a speed or direction you weren't ready for, or you'll jump off the end and pitifully hop off to your demise because you just barely jumped too late when it looked like there was more rail to grind on. I found that sometimes I would land on platforms and just slide right off the edge and other times be perfectly fine to put my controller down while teetering on the edge.
Despite this, and the admittedly vague story, I enjoyed the game because it was short, forgiving, and doesn't require skill to enjoy! I look forward to whatever game comes next!
Just mid. Movement is nice I guess but levels leave a lot to be desired. Usually enjoy getting all collectibles in platformers, but their placement in this one is quite frustrating as you're constantly flung across the map with no option of returning which kinda kills the whole exploration aspect. Charming, but can't quite recommend it.

I played this game of hand and I seriously wanted to enjoy it but there's just a might bit of polish the game doesn't have and the expection for collectable searching without dying in some levels is sometimes obnoxious.
I don't hate this game and you might genuinely have a better time than I did, but as soon as I was done, I never plan on opening it up ever again.

The movement in this one is such a delight - it's fast-paced, smooth yet tight, and very responsive after fiddling with the settings for a couple of minutes. Same for the camera. It's been a while since a game made my right thumb go back and forth from the right stick to the jump button so fast and so much, and I'm loving it!
I liked the level design and platforming a lot, too. Sure, there were some instances where 3D misperception made me fall into the abyss a few times (especially since I was moving at top speed all the time), but I feel like that's a given for the genre at this point, lol.
Graphics aren't really that terrible after enabling the high-res setting (no screenshot from the current steam page has it enabled), and the music is simply great.
I usually love short games because I don't have much free time nowadays and yet my ever-growing backlog of games doesn't seem to be getting smaller anytime soon. However, I definitely wouldn't've minded a couple more levels in this game - I enjoyed it that much!

I really wanted to like this game, the visuals and character controller are really good, but I think it's just poorly designed. The biggest issues I have had that really annoyed me are:
1.The collectathon elements of the game are implemented in an unfun way.
This game is obviously built around going through the levels as fast as possible. However, there are another set of objectives which are these collectables that you need to get (I assume to get the true ending) which are often in side areas. Getting these collectables really breaks up the flow of the gameplay as you are speeding along having a good time and then see a side area you have to do which breaks you out of the flow. It may seem like a small complaint but for me it really messes with my enjoyment of the game since I feel like I should try and get all the collectables on the first run through and then go for time on the second, when I really want to just go for time. For future games I would really prefer it if the collectables were more integrated into the main level and not in hidden side areas since going to those side areas really breaks up the flow of the gameplay.
2. Rythmn based levels suck
This is the thing that made me drop the game. Mario Galaxy and 3D Land had levels like this where the blocks would swap based on the song. However the blocks swap too fast in this game, or at least I could never get the rythmn for how they swapped. They swap every two notes instead of every four, which in my opinion is really bad because the jump takes like 1.5 notes to get to next one so the rythmn feels totally off. I also think the song for that level does not convey the rythmn well. Maybe I'm just bad but those levels felt awful and made me want to not play the game.
Lunistice is a weird one for me, as someone who adores 3D platformers. On the one hand, it's not asking a lot. It's 5 bucks. There are a couple hours of gameplay (more if you want to find every collectible and do the time/no deaths challenges). On the other hand, even in that short time, it overstayed its welcome. The level design is okay and ranged from boring to a little frustrating at the end. The controls and mechanics are nowhere near as tight at the developer thinks they are, which is most apparent in the last few levels. I felt like I finished the game out of obligation because I paid for it instead of enjoyment. I have no desire to play more to 100% all the collectibles and challenges, which is something I've cherished doing in dozens of other platformers. So, considering this was only two hours, and I didn't enjoy half of it, I really can't recommend this one, though I do appreciate the retro vibes and anyone willing to make a platformer in this day and age.
A charming platformer with wonderful level design and just enough difficulty to make me want to 100% all achievements without fear of getting bored or frustrated. The graphics are wonderfully reminiscent of the Nintendo 64 and really made me feel a sense of nostalgia. I couldn't recommend this game enough!
A solid PS1-esque platformer, there are a few levels where the level design clashes a bit with the rest of the design sensibility or the core gimmick gets a bit frustrating, but it mostly feels pretty good to take on these platforming challenges.

food comfort is not food COMFORT, is food bullying, trolling. its looks like as mario maker level that autor accidentally or tool-assisted complete level. level design is trolling, no logic, no rhythm helping complete this dirt. those vertical platforms looks like author has run out of ideas. There is no gradual increase in difficulty that can be understood logically, author simply dumps difficult without preparation. bad level design, nuff said
Honestly if you're just playing this as a quick romp through Hana's playthrough even 100%ing that I think is a really fun experience. I think the extra playthroughs with the optional characters are fine. I don't like that all the collectibles are in the exact same place no matter the character so it makes any route variations there could be for getting S ranks for the collectibles kind of lacking for those characters, pretty fun other than that though.
Simple platforming for a very good price with a decent amount of content if you like to collect everything and go for achievements, nothing too challenging and its an all around good time.

[i]Lunistice[/i] is an excellent pint-sized 3D platformer – not very deep, or complicated, but so polished and accomplished in its purpose that I struggle to fault it for “not having enough content.” It feels like something out of an alternate timeline – like a game I could have rented from Blockbuster with my Dad in 1999 and finished in a single weekend (with a budget-friendly price to match!). And like other “weekend-length” games like [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1055540/A_Short_Hike/][i]A Short Hike[/i][/url] or [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1586800/Lil_Gator_Game/][i]Lil Gator Game[/i][/url], while they may not be novel-length epic stories, I still occasionally return to [i]Lunistice[/i] months after playing it, just to platform through the Sega & Playstation-esque dream levels one more time 🐼✨
Lunistice is a treat. It reminds me of what I wish a modern-day Sonic game would be like, while still feeling oddly nostalgic—like a love letter to the platformers of the PS1 and Dreamcast era. The level design is great, challenging you by focusing on platforming, exploration, and speed simultaneously. The music is a vibe, and the colors are eye candy.
The platforming is the core aspect, and for the most part it is very good. I am hesitant to say great, and definitely not perfect. I found the character to be a bit “floaty” at times, and some of the obstacles took some trial and error as far as spacing goes. It made it feel more like a precision platformer at times, which was borderline frustrating—yet everything else is so good that there was no way I was going to put this game down and not see it through to the end.
Lunistice is short. It took me just over 2 hours to beat the main story, but I will be coming back to get better scores and times. There is more meat to sink your teeth into for completionists. My time played is not displayed correctly, as I played in offline mode on my Steam Deck.
The game ran perfectly on the LED Steam Deck with no performance issues and achievements registered while offline (which is always a plus). Although short, I think the game is worth the $4.99 full price—a steal if bought on sale. I got the game through a Humble Bundle where the average key was about $1.10. It's amazing value at that price. If you like platformers, you’ve got to give Lunistice a go.

The mid game i kind off saw why the game is praised so.
Towards the end of the game I absolutely enjoyed it and wanted more. Buy it and Play it.

Really fun and frenetic lowpoly 3D platformer, the art direction is amazing. The music is so damn good and I still think about the OST months after finishing it!
The level design and set pieces also show that the dev here is a huge fan of Sonic and other kind of more fast-paced 3D platformers. It can be quite short if you don't go for every collectable, but aside of that nitpick it's a genuine blast!

Me gustó muchííísimo, en especial porque los controles y el diseño de niveles está perfectamente bien equilibrado. Los coleccionables son divertidos de buscar y los niveles muy bien hechos (con mecánicas súper top, la vea). Encima, el arte es excelente. Único contra es que tiene una historia básicamente inexistente y los rangos S te fuerzan a jugar una y otra vez para obtenerlos jsjsj.
Wonderful breath of nostalgic air and playing with an xbox one controller makes it feel so smooth. It just feels dreamy to play and the soundtrack is just so nice and easy to vibe to while you play. It really feels like Sonic Adventure 1 or maybe like Ape Escape from the PS1. Charming characters and graphics are always welcome!
Overall, this was a fun little platformer that I really enjoyed, it controlled really well, and it mantained a pretty comfortable difficulty the whole way through, sure there were the occasional small sections that felt a bit harder than they needed to be, but nothing absurd, and getting all the achievements wasn't too difficult either.
I really like the retro art-style, and the music was fantastic, it was also fun playing as different characters with slightly different movement & gimmicks.
I could definitely see myself coming back to this game at some point in the future, I actually think this would be a great game to try speedrunning at some point.

- Controls are really nice (although it feels weird turning the opposite direction)
- You can play as 3 playable characters, each with their own playstyle
- The Levels are amazing, but some can get a bit challenging and frustrating if you are going for 100%
- Mechanics are really cool
- Music is pretty cool too, but you'll likely ignore it as your focused on the game itself
- Story is good but I didn't really care much for it

If I had to give one criticism, it would be that sometimes it's really hard to tell whether a path leads to a secret or is just part of the main level progression. But other than that, it's a wonderfully compact game and does exactly what it sets out to do perfectly!
It's like Mario 3D Land/World with Sonic grind rails.
You can unlock two additional characters, but the game feels very much made for the main character, and the courses are barely altered to suit the other two.
That said, it feels nice, and it's a fun, quick experience.

it sit's in this neat middle ground for me with speedy-ish movement but allowing for more precise platforming (which was definitely needed for a few collectables and a couple parts of later levels!) very much enjoyed my time with it. loved the surreal environments that felt like memories that have been contorted into these sort of fragmented worlds. with the incredible music for each of these levels having such a strong presence, you can still tell the essence of what those moments must have felt like.
didn't take long for me to realize you keep your vertical momentum for longer if you spin attack right after jumping, letting you go way higher and allowing for some faster paths if you're going for times. it's a cool tech and definitely intended. might have realized it a bit too early tho cuz i tended to default to it and sometimes miss mid-air cranes or overshoot the landing outright until i figured what was up, some stuff was definitely timed around more straightforward jump and double jumps. more of a skill issue on my part but i found it amusing
Delightful platformer with three characters who change the difficulty of the game! This game has really fun and catchy music which makes replaying the levels as all three of the characters very fun. The game itself is not too hard except for the candy world. That one is harder than the rest but not too bad. A nice length of a platformer with three styles of play. A solid 8/10!

[b]Neat little platformer packed with variety[/b]. There are six stages with two acts each, and the stages have distinct biomes and gimmicks to them. The seventh stage is exclusive to each of the three characters, whose differences in running speed, jumping speed, how many jumps they can perform before touching the ground, and if they can attack or not, really make for unique approaches to levels, recontextualizing how they flow. [b]It's all masterfully done[/b].
I kind of wanted it to be more challenging. At the end of a level, it tracks collectables, deaths, and completion time. But it only gives S-ranks to the first two, and it's treated separately, meaning you can die by the dozen to collect everything and in another run ignore stuff to play it safe. That's [b]too lenient for me[/b], I had to self-impose the challenge of doing both in a single run for all levels and characters. And then for completion time, I wish there was at least a dev time to overcome, so I'd know I got good.

I picked up this game on sale, and I absolutely think I underpaid, for such a short and sweet adventure l, there's no real parts that are lacking in any way, it's just a high quality 3 hours and you really cannot go wrong

Stylish visual, simple control and scoring, but that doenst mean its an easy game (but its also not hard, IMO). The slow introduction of new but easy mechanics, the different playstyles of each character, the acheivmentes that are very "controled", everything made this game feels like an 3d plataformer made with a lot of love and respect, either for the creation or the player. I liked a lot as my first 3d plataformer, and its worth the full price. At the end, i got to the conclusion that this game is an [b] 8,5/10 [/b] experience, it feels very good playing it, but i wasnt a big fan of how sometimes it was hard to understand the depth of the image (i falled from some very simple plataforms bcs it looked like they were closer, and other things like that)

Lunistice is pretty fun. It's nostalgic, short, challenging (occasionally frustrating) and charming. I liked the graphics and music a lot. There were definitely a few sections that had me dying and retrying many times. Going for perfect S rankings in these levels would be suitably challenging and definitely extend your playtime. Personally I wasn't motivated to do this, given my backlog of games, so I just contented myself with clearing the levels and trying to do the best I could. Either way you choose to approach it, this game will have something to satisfy you. If you're willing to drop a few bucks for a short-but-sweet platforming experience, I can definitely recommend this title.

初期設定だと結構主人公が滑るので設定でスムーズターンをOFF、
ジャンプ時に位置がわかるのでプレイヤーの影をONにするのがオススメ。
道中にはHANAのパネルや鍵、ファイルといった収集要素もあり、
トゥルーエンドを迎える為にはこれらを全て集める必要がある。
また、クリアしたあとに性能が違うキャラが２人追加され、そちらでも全Sランククリアを目指したりとやり込み要素も豊富。
音楽も良く、楽しくトゥルーエンドまで遊ばせていただいた。
Easily worth the full price it charges, but it does go on sale for 50% off sometimes if you're not certain. There is a demo as well, but progress doesn't carry over. I don't bother grabbing all achievements for many games, but I did for this guy. Every level is fun, and it's good fun getting through them deathless while collecting all cranes and letters. There's no real incentive to but speedrunning through the levels for a personal best is also a bit addicting.
100% recommend buying it instantly and playing through.
Cute, short, simple 3d platformer with retro visuals, and good level design. At first I had some problems with knowing exaclty where I'm about to land while jumping, but I quickly got the hang of it. Would recommend.

after i saw this game on BlueSky I had to see the game first hand, and its actually a fun and challenging game, all the Achievements were difficult and fun, i gotta say, great game! i love the game!

Очаровательный маленький 3д-платформер. Привет из тех времен, когда игры проходились чисто на спинном мозге и рефлексах, четыре часа чистого удовольствия. Скорость, прыжки, перевороты, стремительное вжжж по рельсам! Крэш Бандикут со старого плейстейшена передает привет. Графика тут тоже олдскульная, уютно-пиксельная.
Играем мы за симпатяшку-фурри-тануки по имени Хана, она умеет быстро бегать, делать двойной и даже тройной прыжок и сбивать врагов мощным ударом хвоста. Больше она ничего не умеет, но ничего и не требуется. Семь уровней, каждый в два этапа, плюс секреты, плюс спрятанные ачивки. Боссов нет, только рядовые монстрики - и это хорошо. Итоговый score уровня считается не по времени, а по количеству собранных "звездочек" (тут это бумажные журавлики) и числу смертей, но никто не мешает попробовать заспидранить.
Управление удобное даже на клавомыши, двигается Хана четко и уверенно. (Советую отключить smooth turn, чтобы не мучиться с инерцией.) Есть даже сюжет, правда, он существует исключительно в письмах, которые можно собрать на каждом этапе. Изначально мы знаем только то, что Хана находится в компьютерной симуляции, и миры, сквозь которые она путешествует - это ее искаженные сны\воспоминания.
Сама игра коротенькая и проходится быстро, но если упороться и захотеть финишировать все этапы на ранг S, да еще и за всех персонажей (после Ханы открываются еще два, включая цыпленка Toree из Toree 3D - это может занять значительно дольше. Уровни красивые, динамичные, и не наскучивают даже на двадцатом забеге. Всем любителям старых аркад и 3д-платформеров - однозначный рек.
This is an extremely well polished game. The platforming is some of the smoothest that I have played in any game (even triple AAA platformers), This game uses the Mario Galaxy model of movement and does it well. would highly recommend. The game also has a fair and good difficulty that assumes that you the player are smart and understand how to control the character and the level gimics. additionally the levels flow well with Hana's controls making doing the no death S ranks enjoyable to do.
Additionally there are other characters you can play as after you beat the game if you want to play the game even more, which seems to move also very well. However, after playing for a bit it is clear that these characters are not designed for the levels as compared to Hana and I would only recommend playing them if you want to go for all achievements.
The graphics are honestly such a treat: delightfully pixelated and charmingly colorful. For lovers of simple games and platformers, this is a nice little game that doesn't overwhelm you with complicated mechanics or drop everything on the player from the get-go.
Tightly designed, beautiful, satisfying, 100% in one sitting, loved it
