1 Stunde im Game und es ist einfach gar nichts passiert. Ich renne durch leere Gänge, sammle irgendwelche Dinge und lese mal ein Paar Notizen. Das wars. Das ist das Spiel. Das war damals wie heute langweilig und hat für mich kaum noch was mit Gaming zu tun.
Andere Sachen kann ich dem Spiel auf Grund des Alters nicht ankreiden. Batterien, die nach 5 Minuten leer sind, sind halt nichts als dumm und sollen ein ohnehin kurzes Spiel nur unnötig strecken. Ebenso macht mal wieder ein Ausdauerbegrenzung keinen Sinn. Ohne diese Elemente wäre man wohl in unter 30 Minuten hier durch und würde sehen, wie unnötig dieses Spiel wirklich ist.
Ich hatte nicht eine Minute Spaß hier. Aber wenn man mal ein 10 Jahre altes Indie Game auspackt, sieht man mal, dass sich in der Zeit nichts geändert hat. Das Spiel hätte auch gestern raus gekommen sein können. Trauriges Bild für dieses Genre.

[*]Talking about vibes, the game also managed to constantly give you the impression something was there, stalking you and lurking around the corners which was very immersive making you sympathize with Joel's uneasiness and fear.
[*]I'm not going to spoil but this game actually has an ending that you don't really expect. Like all the ways this could've gone to, I wasn't really expecting for it to go down that specific route. [i]Very similiar actually to a specific other horror classic set in an asylum ;)
[*]I played this game on my Steamdeck and it runs SO smooth and when you have your custom Steaminput (since it doesn't have official controller support) it was so much fun playing it there! I think this needs a mention since Steamdeck claims it can't be played properly, well it can! And it was an amazing experience on the Deck!

Während der Anfang des Games noch recht Athmosphärisch war und mich sogar im Ansatz gruseln konnte, ist spätestens sobald man die Schule betritt der Zauber ganz schnell weg.
Rätsel die auf Trial and Error aufgebaut sind (bis man den Trick herausfindet der bei dem Rätsel BEIDE MALE funktioniert), absolut inkonsequentes Leveldesign und ein HUD das einem das Fürchten lehrt (es gibt nämlich fast keins, was hier nicht immersiver, sondern nur einschränkend ist).
Leider schafft es das Spiel auch nicht, seine Level so zu gestalten, dass man sich gut zurechtfindet, gut das kann auch an meiner Orientierung liegen. Alles sieht gleich aus, Dinge die in einem Moment unwichtig sind, sind im nächsten wichtig, nichts ist designtechnisch ausreichend hervorgehoben. Und wenn DOCH, kann man es nicht verwenden, wenn man nicht vorher das verwendet hat, was die Entwickler vorher verwendet haben wollen.
Ich habe es abgebrochen, und bereue nichts.

Its long and tiring. I played 5 hours and incomplete. Its a lot fo find this key, restore power, find this key to the new area, restore that power, Finding the crowbar took forever, then you have GAS that stops your path. I thohght the game was over when i finished the floor, but WAIT > THERES A 2nd FLOOR. The School is HUGE to navigate and walk/run speed is slow. YOUR CHARACTER GETS TIRED after running for 10-15 seconds.
SAVING SUCKS - ONLY per NEW AREA. I had to repeat parts 4 times duet o the save being crap.
I found the keycard in the safe and did the gas mark part on the 2nd floor whoch took me 45 minutes. It didnt' save. A horror part happened. I went into the room I was supposed to go in. There was a metal shaft to jump in. I DID SO....BLANK SCREEN WITH ONLY SOUND.
I couldnt move, no keys worked I couldnt do anything except pause and quit losing 45 mins of progress.

Graficky i zvukově v pohodě. Vadí mi ale automatické ukládání, až když uděláte určitý progres. Pokud ale nedojdete do bodu uložení, můžete přijít o hodinu hraní a další den jen stejnou část znovu. Dal bych proto častější ukládání.

So as I understand it, here's what's happened: some kids were bullying a janitor, but he was a sicko and killed those kids, but kept one as his "pet", feeding him only human flesh. After that some military (or something close) organization Leoware took over the place to test people's mental and emotional strength for future using them for their purposes; in exchange they protect the janitor from prosecution. But the "pet" kid seems not to have completely lost his sanity as we see his desperate note in the laundry room, where the janitor keeps him; and than when Joel meets the kid in the laundry room when the lights go out, he shows him the secret passage by removing one of the washing machines. By going there Joel finds out about Leoware and them testing him, while the person in charge is in the toilet. After that Joel makes a run for it in an elevator on the other side of the corridor, which probably will give him the way to freedom, but at the same moment the person goes out of the toilet and probably catches Joel, after what he releases some kind of toxic gas in the elevator, which makes Joel unconsious and puts him in coma for 2 months. After 2 months he wakes up for a minute, than falls unconcious again, probably even dies.
Not a bad ending at all, a little bit hard to catch, even this is only my guess, but it's pretty damn creepy, if you ask me

不明所以的任务模式，素材建模。挂着puzzle tag但完全就是误导。你要说所有道具互动的步行模拟器都是广义puzzle，但是不配。大概率也没什么剧情。连快进walkthrough都不愿。

I do appreciate psychological horror and there were some creepy moments once you get into the school. And I guess the game had enough going for it that I decided to finish it. (Although that's not saying much as its not a very long game.) But overall I found this game lacking in a number of key areas which makes it hard for me to recommend.
- The story and its twists and turns felt like something a 15 year old boy would write. There are aspects to the story that I guess are supposed to catch you by surprise, but just left me rolling my eyes.
- There are numerous moments where the game either takes control away from you, or has you sitting around doing nothing while some audio plays out. And it can be for a solid 30 seconds or more sometimes. I deplore choices like that in games.
- While the game was genuinely creepy at times, it basically uses the same formula to try and scare you the entire game. So I quickly became desensitized to it and eventually it just felt annoying.
Overall I'd probably skip this one unless its dirt cheap and you really just want something creepy to distract yourself for a couple of hours.

Im not a big fan of the ending though, but maybe thats just me.
It was too easy for my taste, on pair with storys ending with "and then I woke up, and it was all just a dream".
But its well worth a playthrough anyway.

The story elements are solid and well put together, the game doesn't telegraph its underlying story, and the plot is cohesive. Game has an interesting start and flows nicely into each segment.
I expected a cheesy indie barely horror game, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem.

Creepy atmosphere and good use of sound and sound effects - this is this game's biggest win. Excellent pacing, unnerving environment and absolutely fantastic sound design. Sound is critical to a good horror experience and they got it just right.
Controls are easy and intuitive
Pro and Con - game is short, just a few hours, which is great for a stream game, but not long lasting
However, for the price it's about the right amount of game

There are a number of instances of invisible walls - this is lazy design work. It's easy enough to block areas off with scenery and "natural" barriers - we should be past invisible walls by now
The UI could have gotten a bit more thought. I hate a game that handholds, but I don't want to stumble around without a clue what works either.
Game interactions are a little clunky but not enough to really complain about
Games that use darkness as a fear factor, and short battery life on flashlights when it's NOT plot critical need to knock it off and just let the flashlight work

An interesting game not really long has saves in certain parts of the game if you quit before the next save you start from the beginning of the previous save. Game is dark and not much batteries around during my play through so I was running in the dark during certain parts. not really scary has some attempts at jump scares. It's more psychological horror.

В настолько скучный и унылый хоррор я давно не играл. Сделать большую локацию и искать на ней всякую дичь- это конечно беспроигрышный вариант, но не для меня. И кстати, в игре нет врагов, от слова совсем.
Dieses spiel ist schön und gut aufgebaut von der Atmosphäre und der Grafik trotz der nervigen- so wie schlechten speicher punkte und teilweise buggenden sounds, es ist nicht schlecht aber kein meisterwerk wie Corrupty sagte. Die puzzles und Horror elemente die im spiel sind ok, könnten aber besser sein man muss aber bedenken es ist ein etwas elteres spiel aber dafür von der zeit gut vom preis gesehen ist es verhandelbar. Ich musste das spiel 2 mal spielen damit ich sehen konnte das es KEIN 2tes ende gab was mich schon etwas sauer gemacht hatte meines erachtens nach wäre der maximal preis von 4.99€ fair ohne angebot.

Oyun çok sönük kalmış , korku temalı bir oyun olmasına rağmen, beklenen gerilimi ve heyecanı sunmakta başarısız. Bu oyunda olan ve bazı oyunların da kullandığı şu ; bazı eşyaları almak için haritanın bir ucundan diğerine gidip gelme mevzusu gerçekten çok sıkıcı hale getiriyor oyunu. 5 kere haritayı tavaf et , işte bölümü geçtin adamım! Oyunun diğer bir perdesi olan okul bölümü ise akıllara zarar (en azından benim için) ssürekli etrafı dolaş , eşya ara , şifre bul ve tıkandığın an bittin çünkü bir ipucu ya da yardım yok. Tüm hikaye etrafta dağılmış notlarla dağıtılıyor , Gerilim yok, korku yok , atmosfer yok ve karakterler yok. En başta iyi bir oyun gibi gözükse de benim için hayal kırıklığıydı. Hikaye o kadar garip anlatılmış ki kafama pek oturmadı yani tam olarak oyunda şu olmuş diyemiyorum. Oyunun kendisi yerine , hikayesi ile daha çok ilgilenirdim.

A good game. The start is misleading, the game is mostly played in the dark and in an old deserted boarding school. It has great atmosphere and has a consistent feel of fear and suspense. One man is facing the unknown to save his friends, if they are there....someone is! The only complaints I have are the batteries don't last long enough in the flashlight, possibly leaving you in total darkness, and also, if you die, the last save is way back and requires a considerable replay, which is annoying, so just don't die! The Dev was going to update and improve much of this game this year. Whether that has or will be done is not known. It would be worth fixing as the game itself is quite good, imo. The end doesn't give you a definite answer to what happened, but there are enough clues to lead you to some interesting theories. This, however does not take anything away from the game itself which apparently takes roughly two hours to complete if you're a fast player. I'm not :) I died AND ran out of batteries!
I should add that due to the short battery life, it is a good idea to be speedy (RUN!) when possible to locations, while still checking known and new locations for more batteries. Have fun!

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Jogo começa de uma forma bem chata e parece não ter o que fazer, mas depois o visual muda e fica bem tenso e até divertido. Eu recomendo sim mas tenha calma porque exige paciencia.

O jogo é bom e promissor. Tem uma boa atmosfera e é bem imersivo. Senti falta só de mais opções de ajustes dos controles, como o ajuste da sensibilidade do mouse. Faltou também uma opção de save ou com checkpoints mais breves, porém entendo o opção do desenvolvedor de manter dessa forma, para equilibrar a dificuldade. Mas o principal é que jogo termina da maneira mais porca que eu já vi. Para mim o desenvolvedor resolveu concluir o trabalho sem terminar e por isso eu não recomendo. Se for de graça, até está valendo. Mas como jogo pago, a frustração é grande.

Left Alone is a casual first person puzzle game. The puzzles are not complex, and I found much of my time looking for obscure things to continue. There was nothing scary about the game. The flashlight became more of a tedious addition, but the concept is still fun. Not much to the game, but still an enjoyable experience overall.
I recommend Left Alone as a short puzzle game, if you have the patience for the more obscure click and hunt additions that will drag the play time out.

It runs on Steam Deck. For $1 on sale, you get a immersive psychological horror game with amazing sound design. The sounds and music in the game keep you immersed and on your edge. The story and atmosphere keep you hooked. The game looks great. And you'll get about 3 hours of gameplay out of this, it's a steal!

Got this game at its full price but I feel the developers deserve to be paid that.
Graphics are awesome, sound effects are nicely fitted. I love the story and how the gameplay has been set out to give you creeps without depending purely on jumpscares. No glitch, no bugs, ran smoothly. It does disturb me how dark it is without your flashlight, and flashlight dims slowly over time. But, if you managed understand how to go about getting batteries, it is possible to find more than enough to keep changing them out, no need to conserve at all and even have leftovers before the game ends. There are puzzles, and if you do get stuck, it can be a very looooong play trying to figure out what to do next.

Giving this game an upvote. I enjoyed it. I don't need a horror game to make me crap my pants before I think it's good. There's a cool game mechanic used here which I really enjoyed. Someone mentions Layers of Fear in their review and that is where noticed it too. It was fun to play, looks and sounds great too!

"Left Alone" ist ein Indie-First-Person Horror-Game.
Wir sind Joel Dent, ein ehemaliger Offizier, der sich noch im Erholungsprozess von einem langen Koma befindet. Die Ärzte hatten uns schon aufgegeben und gedacht, wir würden nie wieder aus dem Koma aufwachen. Als dies doch passierte, mußten wir uns in allem umstellen. Nach der Scheidung von unserer Frau, wollten wir in einer neuen Stadt ein neues Leben aufbauen.
An einem Wochenende haben wir uns mit Freunden zum Campen verabredet, um alter Zeiten zu gedenken. Die Freunde haben sich aber aufgemacht, eine alte, verlassene Schule zu erkunden und scheinen jetzt verschwunden. Also machen wir uns auf den Weg, unsere Freunde zu finden.
In "Left Alone" müssen wir, nachdem wir überhaupt erstmal herausgefunden haben wie wir auf das Gelände gelangen, die weitläufige Schule erkunden und dabei ein paar Rätsel lösen. Zum Beispiel eine Zahlen-Kombination für eine Tür zusammensuchen oder uns mit einem Kanister auf die Suche nach Treibstoff für den Generator machen oder Hebel in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge bedienen. Ziemlich klassische Rätsel also, die mit Logik auch einigermaßen gut herauszufinden sind.
Diese Rätsel sind allerdings eingebettet in ein sehr atmosphärisches Setting, in dem wir uns manchmal nicht sicher sein können, was Realität und was Vision ist. Die meiste Zeit sind wir allein und streifen durch die leeren und recht dunklen Gänge. Oder sind wir es nicht? Wo sind unsere Freunde? Gibt es einen Gegner, der sie irgendwo versteckt hält?
Das Spiel lebt von seiner Stimmung, von einer gehörigen Portion Einsamkeit und erschreckenden Ereignissen, die eigentlich gar nicht real sein können. Insbesondere auch beim Sound weiß das Spiel zu überzeugen. Es verzichtet in weiten Teilen auf Musik und läßt dumpfe Geräusche, Wind und quietschende Türen ihre Arbeit tun. Nur in wirklich konkret angsteinflößenden Momenten kommen kurze musikalische Akzente. Auch die Grafik, die qualitativ eher mittelmäßig ist, trägt durch eine gute Ausleuchtung zur Stimmung bei.
Das Spiel hat auch einige Schwächen. Mechanisch kann es nicht immer überzeugen. Vor allem zu Beginn gibt es ein paar Merkwürdigkeiten. So sollen wir ein paar Steine sammeln, können aber nur die einzelnen aufheben, aber nicht die genau gleich aussehenden, wenn sie sich in einer Dreierkonstellation befinden. Oder - wie in vielen solchen Spielen - stolpern wir zu Beginn über eine Axt, die sowohl als Werkzeug als auch als potentielle Waffe hilfreich wäre, wenn man eine verlassene Schule betritt, aber natürlich können wir diese nicht aufnehmen, sondern schultern lieber mehrere drei Meter lange Bretter ohne erstmal zu wissen, was wir damit anfangen werden. Auch ist das Spiel nicht allzu lang und die Rätsel sind zwar lösbar, aber nicht immer augenfällig.
Das Spiel hat also einige Schwächen, die recht typisch für Indie-Horror-Spiele sind. Wenn man damit leben kann, findet man aber ein Spiel, das vor allem in Bezug auf Atmosphäre punkten kann und bei dem man spürt, daß die Entwickler viel Herzblut und Hirn hineingepackt haben. Die Story wirkt zwar erstmal etwas generisch, ist dann aber situativ passend und interessant.
Insgesamt ein Titel der sich lohnt, wenn man bereit ist, ein paar Augen zuzudrücken.

Непогана локація в лісі, але після нього дуже швидко набридає кількість головоломок, які не мають багату сенсу. Не рекомендовано.
Jest to całkiem ciekawa produkcja i nie jest tym czego się spodziewałem, czyli wielu negatywów. Ta gra to horror psychologiczny, w którym nie ma za wiele jump scare'ów i potrafi przestraszyć. Jest klimat, jest mrocznie i jest dobra oprawa dźwiękowa, dzięki której dostajemy ciarki na plecach. Można wybaczyć tej grze wygląd tekstur, kilka bugów i niedociągnięć, gdyż jest to gra indie na silniku Unity i została ona stworzona przez małe studio, które wykonało dobrą robotę. Sama gra jest bardzo tania na steam (25,49zł a podczas przeceny 5,09zł). Osobiście dobrze się bawiłem, prócz momentów irytacji, podczas których musiałem szukać drogi dalej, lecz to nie wynika z wady gry, tylko z mojej ślepoty :-D

O game é intrigante, com uma introdução nada convincente e má construída.
O desenrolar da gameplay que é curta (2-4 horas) é assustador, o design de som no game é espetacular e muitíssimo convincente, é o que assusta na verdade.
Se você está procurando por um jogo assustador, com enredo ruim, sustos grátis, pouca mecânica, alto índice esperado de adivinhação e é claro, um plot twist nada a ver no final, este é o game PERFEITO para você.

Das spiel hat einen sehr intressanten Style was Sounds, Grafik und teils Story angeht, auch wenns mehr nur ein Psychologisches Horrorgame ist hats leider keine so krassen Langzeit oder Extreme schock oder erschreck-momente und die tatsache das das game nicht so lange geht, muss ich da einige Abzüge machen. Ansonsten kann man für nen kurzen Trip das spiel gut Genießen und sehen wies einem Gefällt.
Had to write a review for this game because it was honestly SO good for a random indie walking simulator that I picked out of my library to stream one day. I didn't think this would be anything special, but I got INVESTED.
Once I realized this game wasn't the [spoiler][i]Amnesia[/i] type of horror where you are in actual danger[/spoiler], I was able to relax a little bit. With that being said, there were a few things that did legitimately make me jump. The sound in this game is absolutely fantastic, with the sound effects and music being on point. The whole general aesthetic is very creepy all the way along.
The story is more well thought out and attention grabbing than a lot of games I've played recently. The ending is pretty wild and a little far fetched, but I was so determined to see the story through to the end. The length of the game was longer than I expected for a walking simulator (4ish hours), which is a bonus. Some of the puzzles are really clever (although not terribly difficult) and my only real complaint was that you seem to have to just pace around and keep visiting the same areas to progress in certain spots.
If you like spooky games, this might be a good one to pick up and try out. Not only did I enjoy this, but it was a fun thing for my audience to watch as I streamed it as well! Really great experience for me all around and I would recommend.

It is a pretty well done game for jsut two people, pyscological horror, inmmersive story, tense moments, scary and actually very smart jumpscares, this is a game for indie horror lovers, it's so so interesting to play, you might get stuck in a puzzle or two but it worths the cheap price on sales.

Tiene bugs, para ver el celular se bugea y no se puede ver como avanzar en las misiones, tienes que reiniciarlo, es un buen ambiente visulamente pero en audio diría que es bueno solamente, y lastimosamente no tiene traducción al español en el texto de los mensajes, algo indispensable para el público en español. Lo recomendaría solo en rebaja. 7/10
Jogo bom, terror psicológico, não tem nenhum bicho pra te matar mas a ambientação e trilha sonora vão com certeza te dar uns cagaços. Confesso que precisei ver um walkthrough pra uns 2 ou 3 puzzles porque fui incompetente...(ou era difícil mesmo?), enfim, compra aí que é bom, principalmente se estiver em promoção.
