Final boss is designed to be unbeatable without immense luck and grinding; or cheating.
Типичное подобие на ЖРПГ коих куча, мне не зашло
A lot going on in the background, and clear attention to detail. A lot of lore, if you're willing to look and read. Very old-school in sensibilities.
The sense of progression is excellent.
The cue system is a game changer for exploration.
Classic JRPG formula refined.
took me back to my childhood. pure nostalgia fuel.
The game started out pretty neat, it was challenging, yes, but also lots of fun. That changed around the time I got to the ice world. Who the hell thought that making every level a labyrinth or an endless loop of boring nothingness was a good idea? You never know what you have to do or find in a level and even with a guide it was infuriatingly bad, because the maps are so big and everything looks the same.
I also hated the mazes where you could be taken back to the start by water springs or fire bolts. Who designed this and thought "yeah, that will be fun to play"?
Also, at the end of the game you meet two new characters and they need cues that are all over the world. So you have to run around the endless loop maps YET AGAIN. Skipping this will make the game so hard, that you will have a hard time with the boss fights.
There was a lot that I did like about the game (e.g. the fights), but man was that a frustrating game to play.
The world feels alive despite the simple graphics.
It's not a terrible/garbage-tier RPGMaker game, but it needs lots of polish to be OKish one.
While Labyronia RPG advertises itself as a hardcore JRPG, it's closer to annoying one. From about an hour of gameplay, the main combat loop is spamming attack and heal as needed. Some grinding is also needed, which is very tedious with such a combat loop.
But the biggest issue I experienced is that you could get debuff non-stop, that could easily kill you or make the battle much longer. When I fight special enemies, they keep throwing blind debuff. I already prepared few items to remove debuff, but ran out as the enemy successfully gave me blind debuff on almost every turn.
I only experienced 2 labyrinth areas, but both of them feel like they must be solved with full exploration/brute force rather than cleverly reading hints or finding patterns. Despite the claim "emotional storyline", I find it's simply boring. Both visual and audio are OKish for its price.
Неплохая игра. Но баги... Выбешивают
Boring
Good length and pacing.
Yes.
classic vibes all the way. the music, the sprites, the turn based combat. perfection
Locations quickly become impassable, forcing you to return to old ones to grind.
A game for fans of such unbalanced adventures.
Кем надо быть чтобы задержатся в этой игре хотя бы на 5 минут
(game not complete review at 1.2 hours of game play, part of my review all my games effort)
(short version)
An RPG maker game that has really great music, and doesn't hold your hand. However, there are some translation or grammar errors in the text which can break immersion, and there are absolutely balancing issues. For $2 at full price though I would recommend this game as long as you're willing to do the grinding to progress.
I didn't play this game for long, but during the time i played i didn't enjoy any of it. It is true that you get what you pay for because i only paid 50 cents for this and it was not good at all.
I would recommend you this game if you have a very small budget and like casual turn based combat games.
Over all i would give this a 3/10 but because of the price i will do 3.05/10.
great bang for your buck. tons of content.
beautiful world design. lots of diverse environments.
Nice visuals
My reflexes are fast my choices are not
Good update support
enjoyable form start to finish. no boring filler content.
if you like final fantasy 1-6 you will feel right at home.
polished experience. didn't encounter any bugs.
The world building is top notch. I want to know more about the lore.
clever writing. subtle humor that got a chuckle out of me.
I appreciate that it respects the player's intelligence. No hand-holding here.
Just a good old fashioned RPG adventure.
The lore is deep and interesting to uncover.
exploration is key. if you rush you will die. take your time and look for secrets.
Simple but addictive gameplay loop.
A throwback to a simpler time in gaming.
Gets really challenging in the second half. Prepare your items!
maps are detailed and pretty. good use of assets.
feels like a passion project, not a cash grab.
Great soundtrack and atmosphere.
This game has a soul. You can tell the dev put a lot of love into it.
strategic turn based combat done right.
seeing enemies on the map allows you to pick your fights. love that feature.
sound effects are crunchy. hitting a critical hit feels good.
Hardcore but satisfying. Not for the faint of heart.
Gives off strong Chrono Trigger vibes.
50 hours in and i still haven't found all the cues. this game is huge.
epic scale. feels like a grand adventure spanning continents.
The main villain's motivation is actually interesting. Not just 'muhaha evil'.
perfect difficulty curve. starts easy, gets hard, makes you feel like a god at the end.
Good challenge without being unfair.
Characters have depth and clear motivations.
soundtrack slaps. legit been humming the battle theme all day.
Don't let the RPG Maker engine fool you, this has more heart than most AAA games today.
feels like a lost SNES cartridge that was just discovered. magical.
great game for the steam deck. runs perfectly.
Strategic combat keeps you engaged.
big world to explore. lots of optional content.
Quality indie title.
It captures the spirit of adventure perfectly.
Good variety of enemies and strategies needed.
It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it makes the wheel run very smooth.
The temples are well designed puzzles.
A refreshing break from modern microtransaction hell.
I was skeptical because of the graphics but the gameplay won me over completely.
Nice visual style and effects.
difficult but fair. grind is minimal if you play smart.
Great length for an RPG. Not too short, not dragging on forever.
classic vibes all the way. the music, the sprites, the turn based combat. perfection.
simplistic but effective. proves you dont need 4k graphics to make a good game.
Loved the boss designs.
Worth playing for the story alone.
cue system > standard skill trees. fight me.
fun boss mechanics. they keep you on your toes.
The story is better than it has any right to be.
play this if you want a good story and fun combat. simple as.
The pacing is brisk. No 20 minute unskippable cutscenes.
combat is fast. no waiting 10 seconds for animations.
best 2 dollars (or whatever it costs now) i ever spent. value is insane.
Great game, great story, great price.
a true hidden gem. more people need to play this.
If you like finding secrets, this game is literally made for you.
The distinct visual style of the monsters is a nice touch.
solid writing. dialogue isnt cringy like in some other indie rpgs.
A heartfelt tribute to classic RPGs.
Too short but very enjoyable.
Nice soundtrack, good vibe.
Fun with friends, solo is boring.
Interesting idea, needs polish.
The ability system is tied to exploration which is genius. Makes looting fun.
Cool visuals, average combat.
Good time killer, not too deep.
Nice game, but too many bugs.
The game doesn't hold your hand and I respect that.
Great graphics and fun gameplay.
character interactions are funny and heartwarming.
