This is a fun, albeit limited, brawler. The first game impresses with is fixed, rhythm-based two-button gameplay – you don't move your character, just strike left or right as enemies enter range. The simplicity is surprisingly well executed, and mastering the timing and enemy patterns becomes addictive. The story mode is mostly flavor, but the over-the-top '80s vibe pairs perfectly with the original short film, and I loved its cheesy energy.

The expansion shifts to a more traditional beat'em up format, but ends up underwhelming. Although it allows free movement and more attack options, the combat feels stiff – there are no combos, no jumping, and attacks lack flow. Enemies behave like they did in the original game, which could've added strategy, but the clunky mechanics get in the way. In the end, if you're a fan of the short film like I am, it's worth it for the aesthetic, the humor, and the joy of kicking pixelated Nazi asses. Otherwise, it might come off as a pair of overly simplistic brawlers.

Sin duda, un juego recomendable si creciste con arcades; es sencillo de entender, pero complejo de jugar a pesar de ser dos teclas (moverte izquierda y derecha también hace la función de ataque y un pequeño deslizamiento) XD
La coordinación y habilidad viso-espacial hacen mucho la diferencia.

Paciencia es lo que diría se requiere para disfrutarlo y sí leer los dialogos, son igual de sosos que la pelicula, hahaha.

This lost it's novelty to me at the end of the second stage where I had to look up what you're supposed to do to beat the boss. I got so frustrated with it I decided 'just tell me the damned answer' and looked it up on YouTube. Which is an utter failure of design that a boss's attacks are just so horribly telegraphed.

There may be better designed bosses and enemies past stage 4 but I had gotten so frustrated by what is a rythym-based input game being so harsh & unforgiving of any mistakes I just don't have the patience for it to get better.

Just watch the movie. The game is a dud.

W grze dostajemy do wyboru 3 tryby:
Tryb praktyki który pozwala poznać zasady działania trybu kampanii oraz nieskończonego. Pokazuje nam jak walczyć oraz na jaki zasięg działają nasze ataki, oraz pozwala zapoznać się z większością przeciwników.
Kampanię w której co misję zmienia nam się bohater oraz polega ona na wyprowadzaniu ataków w konkretnym kierunku aby nie pozwolić przeciwnikom nas pokonać co nie jest takie proste gdyż wybrana postać decyduje ile posiadamy życia i to bez możliwości regeneracji.
Tryb nieskończony działa tak samo jak kampania z tą różnicą że sami wybieramy postać oraz mapę, i wyprowadzamy ataki do czasu aż nie skończą nam się życia.
Tryb Dnia na Plaży to to gdzie zaczyna się najbardziej rozbudowana rozgrywka, wybieramy swojego bohatera i trafiamy do faktycznego beat 'em up gdzie idziemy w prawą stronę, bijemy niemilców, zbieramy apteczki z pokonanych wrogów lub zniszczonych skrzynek i przechodzimy tym samym swoistą kampanię na wielu połączonych ze sobą mapach. W przeciwieństwie do innych trybów tutaj mamy 3 ogólne życia, ale one są rozbite jeszcze na dodatkowe 5 kafelków co daje nam w sumie 15 żyć. Po utracie wszystkich żyć rozgrywkę musimy zacząć od nowa, bez względu na to jak daleko doszliśmy. Do wyboru mamy 5 postaci, samego Kung Fury, Barbariannę, Triceraglinę, Hackermana oraz Hasselhoffa. Każda z postaci ma swoje unikalne animacje ataku oraz unikalne umiejętności specjalne. Poza tym każda postać jest udźwiękowiona przez tych samych aktorów którzy odgrywali ich role w filmie.
Map w grze dostajemy sporo, część z nich odwołuje się bezpośrednio do filmu np. era wikingów czy przejście w czasie, zaś część jest zrobiona specjalnie pod grę jak np. plaża czy przejście przez ścieki.

Graficznie jest naprawdę przyjemnie, gra tak jak film zrobiona jest w stylu lat 80-siątych więc czujemy się jakbyśmy grali na starym automacie do gier. Pomimo tego wszystkie postaci czy przeciwników poznamy od razu, są na tyle detalicznie zrobieni że całość gry od razu przywołuje na myśl filmowy pierwowzór. Wrogowie są wręcz idealnie odwzorowani, zarówno podstawowi naziści jak i oficerowie, mechy automatowe, czerwony mistrz ninja. Poza nimi dostajemy także paru nowych wcześniej nieznanych wrogów którzy idealnie pasują do reszty.

This game has its charm because of the 80's arcade look and its relation to the Kung Fury movie.
Great visual style, good sound design, but not worth the 15 euro.
It starts out as just a simple button masher game with little (no) free choice, and is somewhat fun once you get the timing right, but after a while it either gets boring or very annoying.
Timing is important, so playing with the joystick on a controller is out of the question.

It doesn't have a tutorial mode, its practice mode doesn't tell you how to handle bosses.
You've got to learn as you go but each chapter the way you need to handle the enemies changes, and you're not being told what's happening or instructed how to handle the bosses.
Just like a real arcade machine, it's swallowing my credits QUICKLY! You'll die A LOT!

All i think is why the <insert expletive> didn't the game accept my inputs?
For a simulated arcade game, this shouldn't be as annoying.
You ought to get some clear indication as a result of your inputs, so you can adjust your strategy accordingly.
However, this game throws "game over" at your face and i can't for the life of me figure out what i did wrong. It's two buttons ffs.

TLDR: interesting graphics, bad controls.

Compré este juego en Steam por 1,01€ hace varios años y la verdad antes solamente tenía el juego de darle solamente a izquierda y derecha, y no me hizo mucha gracia porque me esperaba un estilo Streets of rage.

Ahora me gusta mucho más porque han añadido más modos de juego, incluido uno como Streets of rage y el personaje de David Hasselhoff. Me encanta que tenga contraseñas para que puedas continuar el juego desde ese punto y no empezar siempre de cero. Tiene un humor y estilo retro similar al del corto y está gracioso. Y sobre todo me ha gustado que no me han cobrado de más con un DLC por este material extra.

Al precio que lo compré si lo veo razonable, pero sin oferta 19,50€ me parece excesivo.

Lo compre en junio de 2016 por 2,99€. Era un juego muy sencillo con un personaje y una"run" infinita. Lo jugué poco pero me conformó la experiencia por su precio.
Al tiempo volví a descargarlo y ví nuevos personajes, me gustó que fueran actualizandolo. Hoy muchos años después lo he vuelto a descargar y veo que han incluido jugabilidad, enemigos y mapas nuevos. Modo historía y cooperativo.
Es cierto que el precio del juego actual es x7 el que me costó en su dia. Yo lo tengo desde que estaba en pañales y es un gusto que me lo hayan actualizado sin cobrar DLCs (como debiera ser pero la industria esta da asco).

Aun así 20€ me parece excesivo con el contenido actual del juego. Aunque su apartado artístico es de 10 y como producto artístico es sublime. Yo me esperaría a una rebaja de steam.

[h1]Review zu Kung Fury: Street Rage - Ultimate Edition[/h1]

Kung Fury Street Rage basiert auf dem [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg]Film Kung Fury auf YouTube[/url]. Und ja, es ist tatsächlich ein Film, kein Kurzfilm, wie viele behaupten, [url=https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurzfilm]denn ein Kurzfilm ist maximal 30 Minuten lang.[/url] (Die Aufrechterhaltung & Funktionalität der Links kann ich logischerweise nicht gewährleisten)
Während der Film schlichtweg genial ist, ist es das Spiel hier weniger. Es ist okay, aber ich persönlich bin nicht wirklich die Zielgruppe hierfür. Das liegt primär daran, weil ich nun mal das komplette Beat 'em Up-Genre nicht wirklich mag. Ich habe mich mal schon an diverse Ableger dieses Genres herangetraut, sogar erst kürzlich an [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/vazeyo/recommended/564050?snr=1_5_9__402]Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans[/url] aber Fakt ist nun mal, dass ich mit diesem Genre nicht groß und deshalb auch nicht warm geworden bin. Es ist einfach nichts für mich, deshalb betrachte ich Kung Fury Street Rage auch als weniger gut, als jemand der ein Fanatiker dieses Genres ist.
Wie dem auch sei. Das Spiel ist okay, hat mich aber nicht bis zum Ende hin unterhalten können. Ich habe beide Kampagnen, die das Spiel anbietet angefangen und bin in der zweiten sogar recht weit gekommen, aber letztendlich habe ich beide nicht durchgespielt, weil es mir auch irgendwann zu schwer wurde. Ich bin jemand der einfach nicht für Kombos gemacht worden ist (auch ein weiterer Grund, warum ich Spiele wie Super Smash Bros. komplett vermeide) und das merkt man anhand meiner Spielweise halt auch.
Allerdings, und so viel sei gesagt, das hätte ich dem Spiel nicht zugetraut, hat es sogar als Beat 'em Up-Ableger sogar stellenweise ein Problem, das ich mit dem Genre insgesamt habe, behoben. Nämlich Dreidimensionalität. Zumindest, im Endless-Modus und in der ersten Storykampagne. Dort ist es nämlich so, dass du lediglich nach links / rechts angreifen kannst und dich nicht bewegen musst. Etwas, das ich recht spannend fand, weil ich die dreidimensionale Bewegung bisher in JEDEM Beat 'em Up konsequent verabscheut habe. Es fühlt sich meiner Meinung nach einfach nicht komfortabel an in einem zweidimensionalen Raum sich dreidimensional bewegen zu können und selbst als zweidimensionaler Spielcharakter auf zweidimensionale Gegner einzudreschen. Kann man mir folgen? Kann man das irgendwie nachvollziehen?
Jedenfalls hat das Spiel das so umgangen und mir hat der Endless-Modus recht viel Spaß bereitet, auch wenn ich nicht mehr spielen werde. Nach 72 Minuten hatte ich bereits genug. (Wer jetzt allerdings einen Blick auf meine Spielzeit riskiert wird merken, das es beinahe doppelt so viel ist, was daran liegt, weil ich das Spiel noch etwas habe laufen lassen, damit ich mind. 2 Spielstunden habe, um mir die Hintergründe für das Steamprofil im Punkteshop zu kaufen.)

+ RICHTIG GUTE MUSIK!
+ Schicker Pixelart
+ Teils zerstörbare Umgebung
+ Eine zweidimensionale Kampfebene, die eigentlich für das Genre unüblich ist
+ Man kann fünf komplett unterschiedliche Charaktere spielen, die sich auch sehr unterschiedlich spielen. Heißt allerdings dabei im gleichen Atemzug leider auch, dass diese unterschiedlich viel Spaß machen. Der Triceratops-Polizist machte dabei mir am meisten Spaß und mit dem habe ich auch meine [strike]doch recht lächerlichen[/strike] Highscores aufgestellt

- Die zweite Storykampagne ist überhaupt nicht vertont worden. Die erste hingegen schon, was ich merkwürdig finde. Wer A sagt muss auch B sagen
- Stellenweise ist das Kampfgeschehen selbst durch einige Animationen verdeckt, wodurch das Spielgeschehen gelegentlich unübersichtlich war

+- Der Röhrenmonitorfilter lässt sich nicht deaktivieren. Mich persönlich hat das jetzt nicht wirklich gestört, gehört aber zur Barrierefreiheit dazu, dementsprechend sollte das eigentlich nicht fehlen

Disappointed. Expected a beat em up game, got a "one finger death punch" game instead. Somehow game does not like too fast actions. Never was able to beat Chapter 1. I am a fan too and wanted to see the story. :steamsad:

Not a great game, especially if you compare it to its models, for example Streets of Rage series, from which it copies the title. The gameplay is very limited, and even the elements of the original movie are not well exploited. It's more like a bonus for the huge fans of the movie, nothing more.

Leider muss ich das Spiel zerreißen und kann die guten Kritiken nicht verstehen.
Es ist sehr Monoton, es gibt gefühlt nur zwei Gegnertypen und zwei Arten des Angriffs eine 3er-Kombo und einen Spezialangriff. Außerdem ist es auch ziemlich egal welchen Charakter man auswählt, bis auf den Special von David, der ist ein bisschen mächtiger als der der anderen. Es wird sehr schnell unfair schwer und die Bosse... Wenn man darauf steht Rücken an Rücken Buttonmashing zu betreiben bis die Map vorbei ist und jeden Endboss erst auswendig lernen muss bevor man eine Chance hat, dann ist man hier richtig.
Naja, der Soundtrack kann zumindest für ein paar Minuten überzeugen. Bis man ihn irgendwann nicht mehr hören kann.
Man hat heutzutage so viele Möglichkeiten das Gameplay unterhaltsam zu gestalten.
Wenn ich nur eine verrückte Story erleben möchte schau ich mir eine Folge Rick und Morty an.
Echt Schade auf den ersten Blick fand ich es wirklich ansprechend.

Great 80s arcade style game. It's like a rythm game + beatem up. Original ideas and fun animations. Some achievements are very hard. Beating the classic story mode chapter 5, final form, is the toughest imo. It can be beaten. Become The President, save the world, kick ass in a Street Rage.

They really upgraded this recently! It went from a basic arcade beat'em up with broken achievements, to a fleshed out fighting game with different playing styles and fixes. It's alot of fun! I wouldn't recommend it at the new full price, however I do think it's worth it once it hits a decent sale price. For a game originally released in 2015, I think £16+ is a little high.

Занятный аркадный ретро-слэшер-beat'em up про небезызвестного Kung Fury.
В основном сюжете за каждого из персонажей по очереди нужно отбиваться от волн врагов, нажимая только влево или вправо (стрелками или кнопками). Впрочем, начинается с Kung Fury, и заканчивается тоже им.
После набора волн босс, где уже можно передвигаться влево и вправо, уклоняясь от атак, и атаковать самому по такому же принципу. Местами подбешивает, когда кнопку наживаешь, но не засчитывает.

В DLC сделали более классический Beat'em up, где предстоит преодолеть ряд уровней за выбранного персонажа. Ничего выдающегося, всё одинаковое, показалось даже затянутым. Но зато тут можно играть вдвоём. Забавный последний босс, как [spoiler]краб на галерах[/spoiler].

В целом, достойная игра - аутентиточность и фирменный юмор так же присутствуют.
С ценником только непонятно что произошло.

A harder, shorter One Finger Death Punch, but all the same fun. However, one wrong timing on an attack can screw you big time. Some of the characters have less health than I would've liked, but I managed to pull through.

This game also includes a fun beat-em up campaign -- shorter and much easier than the first arcade campaign. There are actual codes you can input to skip through finished levels, if you actually took note of those. Final boss is a breeze.

All in all good game, but wait for a sale. At full price this is bonkers
