This might be one of the first times I say this, but I kinda consider this a hidden gem of a game. It was very fun.

Art style is cool and so is the music. The voice acting is pretty good.

Story is alright, I thought it was more simple than anything. [spoiler]heck, it just seemed we were playing the villains or definitely not good ones.[/spoiler] But by the end it grew on me, the ending also added to it, I certainly didn't expect that. The writing in general is pretty funny, I like that when you continue the game there's a little 'Previously on' section, it really adds to it. I especially liked that little flashback between Jacker and Boogan on how they met.

Very fun gameplay, starts off with you being able to select what kind of style you want to do, between more roguelike and metroidvania, but besides that there's more to it with all the missions as well that you can find and do as side games, and going around shooting everything and doing the raids I call them. There's also collecting souls but I have a complaint on that.

The combat was good, enemies seemed fine, though the bosses is where the enemy design shines most, each one had their own way to more easily kill them along with their specific challenges, honestly great, their design didn't look amazing or anything, but the mechanics were good. I will say though, eventually it just gets to a point where it almost turns into a bullet hell sometimes.

[b][u]For the bad[/u][/b], first off, the collecting souls side thing, some of the ways to get them are so esoteric it's insane, you definitely will need a guide if you want to do that.
I didn't like that dying made you lose all the money you had, just a waste of time and annoying, that's all it was.
After you kill the first boss, it still goes ahead and continues attacking for a little bit, potentially killing you as he did me, didn't like that.
In the [spoiler]breakout[/spoiler] section, lower ranked robots are programmed to respect higher ones is what was said, yet a 1 star robot killed me as I was controlling a 3 star one, that didn't make sense.
In windows I had bad performance, with the locking it to 60 FPS option on, it actually hovered around 40, but without it it went to the thousands which I didn't want either, so that was very bad.

[b][u]Overall[/u][/b], a hidden gem honestly, nice story, funny writing, very fun gameplay, I liked it.

Los primeros minutos no he podido con el control, manejar el punto de mira con las ruedas del mando no es comodo. Despues ya he probado con raton y teclado y asi si, me sorprende que un plataformero no pueda jugarse bien con mando.
En la linea del unepic aunque un poco mas suave, me ha gustado mas la trama y las conversaciones pero hay mucho menos humor. He querido seguir con ganas hasta el final.
Mejora en los graficos y en la musica. Mantiene el nivel de doblaje. No se suben niveles pero hay muchas mejoras, tanto pasivas como artefactos o armas secundarias.
El mapeado sigue siendo muy lineal, aparenta que vas a regresar a visitar zonas al conseguir llaves
El unico punto que no me ha gustado nada son los bosses, los dos primeros dan la talla, son espectaculares y despues va a menos, una lastima. Recomendable si te gustan los metroidvania

I'm heavily saddened to write this since I consider UnEpic to be one of the best games ever created. Ghost 1.0 just isn't at the same level or even remotely close in stature.

There are two modes, regular metroidvania mode and roguelike mode. The unfortunate thing is the game was balanced more towards the roguelike mode and as a result the metroidvania mode suffers greatly.

You are forced into combat of varying difficulty levels while exploring the map. If you die, you lose everything on your person that you've collected which would lead one to think that maybe it's leaning towards some souls-like or roguelike mechanics but sadly upon retrieving your "essence" where you previously died, you only get back a miniscule amount of your previously collected items and lose ALL upgrades and weapons acquired. The only way to mitigate this is every time you upgrade or buy a new weapon / item, you need to walk all the way back to a save point to save your game to prevent loss. This encourages unnecessary backtracking and sometimes you'll be forced to backtrack into rooms with higher difficulty levels of unskippable locked room fights due to the alarms that you cannot avoid. This is absolutely unfun and terrible game design.

The map itself is pretty bland. A lot of the rooms and other parts of the map look the same. There's nothing dynamic in the layout either. It's basically copy and paste the rectangle room over and over.

The music is serviceable but also forgettable to me which hurts to say because I absolutely ADORED the soundtrack for UnEpic.

The controls are terrible. It uses twin stick shooter controls which has been poorly implemented. You have to release aiming simply to jump. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I don't know what happened here but I'll have to skip this for sure.

Its a cool game with a lot of character. Platforming, shooting, it all feels good. The weapons are also interesting and unique. You can play it as punishing as you want, or just enjoy yourself.

There are a few points of note: While the game is open ended on how you upgrade and play, there is certainly a "correct" way to stack your upgrades and weapons, and you are punished in the final level if you don't. I had to go back and grind to unlock a few upgrades on certain utility "weapons".

Dev, if you read this, man, go back and make another go of it. Hell, do a simple "remastered" DLC. We'd pay. Even something like a mini campaign after the first one, an homage to Ghost in the shell or Venus wars. The masses are hungry, we need content! even if you never touch this one again, thanks for the fun times, and good job.

Ghost 1.0 is one of those games that slips under the radar, but really shouldn’t.

It looks simple at first, but once you start playing, the tight controls, clever level design, and satisfying progression pull you in. Combat feels good, movement is responsive, and upgrades actually matter — you feel yourself improving without the game turning into a button-mashing power fantasy.

What I appreciated most is how confident the game feels. It doesn’t overexplain, it doesn’t chase trends, and it doesn’t waste your time. Exploration is rewarding, the humor lands surprisingly well, and the soundtrack quietly supports the atmosphere instead of trying to steal the spotlight.

This isn’t a flashy AAA title, and it doesn’t need to be. It’s a well-made, focused experience with personality — the kind of game you buy on sale and end up wondering why more people aren’t talking about it.

If you enjoy solid gameplay, meaningful upgrades, and games with soul, Ghost 1.0 is absolutely worth your time.

Simplemente maravilloso, tiene buenos dialogos con buen humor y comentarios de temas interesantes.

Es más guiado que unepic pero aun así no pierde el toque de exploración al ritmo del jugador y no te dice las cosas facilmente para que tengas que espavilarte lo cual creo que es un punto a favor de este tipo de juegos.

Una maravilla de videojuego, me lo he pasado genial.

Persönlich kann man verstehen das man sich relativ schnell sagt, ne für mich ist das nichts.
Die vergleichsweise unübliche Tastenbelegung, daran kann man sich schnell gewöhnen, auch wenn es durchaus passieren kann das man im Eifer des Gefechts auf die falsche taste kommt.

Beim ersten Zwischenboss, kamen auch mir Zweifel ob es sich lohnt weiter zu machen, nicht das der Boss schwer wäre, aber die Tatsache das dieser relativ viele HP besitzt, nur verwundbar ist an den unteren Füssen und man diese nur treffen kann sobald dieser die Beine anhebt, im Kampf weitere Mini Gegner wie Mienen abwirft, und sich die Munition nur sehr langsam auffüllt, machen den Anfang wirklich sehr nervig.

Sobald man allerdings sich das Sturmgewehr zugelegt hat, kommt man relativ zügig durchs Spiel, da die weiteren Bosse im Grunde genommen kein Hindernis mehr darstellen.
Hat man dann noch den Beamer und den Raketenwerfer als Hauptwaffe, ist es ein wahres Schlachtfest.

Man könnte an dieser Stelle sagen dass das Spiel dadurch unausgewogen ist, Ich persönlich würde sagen das man sich den Schwierigkeitsgrad dadurch selbst wählen kann, da man sich seine Waffenauswahl selbst zusammenstellen kann.

Die Story selber bietet am Anfang nicht wirklich viel Inhalt, baut sich jedoch mit der Zeit wirklich gut, das Ende hingegen hält etwas bereit, das man auch durchaus in einem Since Fiction Film wiederfinden könnte, Ich sage nur Gehirne in Gläsern.

Die Zwischensequenzen bieten jede Menge Nerd Action und es gibt Zwei Minispiele die sich wirklich hervorragend in das Spiel einreihen.
Auch die klassische Thematik ob Roboter Rechte haben usw. wir hier durchaus gut erzählt.

Persönlich, konnte Ich jetzt nicht viele Dinge finden die mich wirklich gestört haben.
Bis auf eine Sache, es gab bei mir ein Problem, nämlich dass das Spiel immer nach einer gewissen Zeit anfing zu ruckeln für ein paar Minuten.
Das ist auf ein Hintergrundprogramm zurückzuführen.
Welches das ist, nun, unter Windows 11 lässt sich das nicht herausfinden.

Ansonsten hatte Ich wirklich Spaß mit Ghost 1.0 und könnte mir, auch wenn es unwahrscheinlich ist, einen Nachfolger gut vorstellen.

-Utterly broken zipline controls in an area you are forced to do after the first boss. Who thought these controls made sense?
-Game drops to 22fps at random, alt tabbing fixes it, absolutely destroys your abililty to play when it happens in the middle of combat. I'm on a 4070 TI this game should run at 6000fps
-Cringe-inducing DND guy making references like a peanut gallery, should have an option to entirely remove these conversations from the game perhaps having no one talk ever honestly I would have had more fun that way
-"Previously on Ghost 1.0" your game is like 15 hours long it doesn't need recaps fool
-Infinitely respawning enemies that respawn while you're trying to platform through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ room with the broken zipline controls
-The devs don't really understand the exploratory nature of this type of game. The game is too focused on collecting money to buy skills and abilities rather than finding skills and abilities as you explore. This changes the gameplay loop from going to new areas and looking around exploring, to exploring for a bit, getting money, then backtracking again and again to a shop to buy stuff over and over. Every room has a "secret" in it, but it's often nonsensical what you must do to unlock it. Yeah, we get it, metroidvanias sometimes required you to shoot some random block to open a passage unexpectedly. However in these games there is a limited, known set of secrets that can exist. Usually shoot a hidden box, go to a hard to reach area. It's limited because typically the game shows you really simple to find ones via all those methods early on, so you will look for them in harder to find places later. It's not the game just trying to confuse you stupidly by having secrets unlocked by crouching in a corner for 5 seconds in a random room or running back and forth a bunch in a specific spot. These are stupid secrets that are only found by looking them up online. Not interesting or engaging.
-The devs of course needed to add pointless missions no one will ever do because it was the mid 2010s and adding a pointless mission mode had to be in every game at this time. These missions make me want to put a bullet in my head. The very first mission has an achievement to only break 20 boxes, but your drones will automatically shoot boxes without you being able to do anything about it when trying to kill enemies, so it's basically impossible to get this one. It's like they want to piss off the player as much as possible.

Ghost 1.0 es uno de esos juegos que no esperas que te marquen, y sin embargo, lo hacen. Tiene acción, ritmo, exploración, combates frenéticos, secretos… Todo lo que se espera de un buen metroidvania está aquí, con una ejecución sólida y sin fisuras. Pero lo que realmente lo hace brillar es el alma que transmite, esa que solo notas en juegos hechos con cariño, amor y dedicación.

Fran lo ha vuelto a hacer. Con su sello inconfundible, ha creado una experiencia redonda: divertida, exigente, y con ese equilibrio entre humor y narrativa que tan bien sabe manejar. Como toda buena obra que va más allá de lo superficial, poco a poco su historia va soltando preguntas que no esperabas: identidad, conciencia, control… No quiero spoilear, pero a nivel narrativo es una pasada.

Los protagonistas tienen su personalidad bien definida, con diálogos irónicos que te sacan una sonrisa en el momento menos pensado. No son protagonistas al uso, pero sí que te importan, y eso en un metroidvania es más raro de lo que parece. Gracias a ellos, la historia gana profundidad sin volverse pesada, y te quedas con ganas de saber más.

La estación Nakamura es casi un personaje más. Da la sensación de estar siempre activa, con sus robots y sistemas funcionando sin parar. Además, el diseño de sus zonas refuerza esa coherencia y vida. El estilo futurista y cyberpunk está perfectamente integrado, y recorrer cada rincón se siente natural y entretenido. Nada está puesto al azar: los puzzles, las alarmas, los NPCs… todo encaja con la historia y la ambientación.

Nada que añadir sobre la banda sonora: tiene tanta personalidad que acabarás tarareándola sin darte cuenta, y eso siempre es buena señal.

El doblaje al español es oro puro, aunque, personalmente, creo que no llega a la misma altura que en Unepic o Unmetal, donde la calidad es claramente superior. Aún así, es muuuuy disfrutable.

¿El juego es perfecto? No. En ocasiones presenta picos de dificultad algo abruptos y momentos anticlimáticos, además de secretos tan crípticos que parece que el juego te esté tomando el pelo, pero nada de eso eclipsa el conjunto. Son detalles anecdóticos.

En definitiva, Ghost 1.0 no pretende reinventar el género, pero tampoco le hace falta. Su objetivo es claro: ofrecer una aventura intensa, con humor, con desafío y ese sabor indie que solo puede nacer de la pasión. Y lo consigue con creces.

Gracias, Fran, de verdad. Por seguir haciendo juegos así. Por recordarnos que aún existen desarrolladores que hacen las cosas con pasión. No puedo esperar a jugar tu próximo gran título.

Enjoyed it quite a bit, but probably a somewhat niche title. Definitely more of a sale candidate if you are not in dire need of a half-serious cyberpunk metroidvania.

[i]Ghost 1.0[/i] straddles a strange line, it wants to be something of a twinstick shooter, a metroidvania, a serious cyberpunk story, a tongue-in-check cyberpunk story and nostalgic all at the same time while also attempting to innovate here and there. Does not quite work out, honestly. The gameplay is solid, but also janky at times. When I recently got back into it and tried my hand at some of the extra challenges, I noticed this somewhat severely, as the regular storymode is comparatively forgiving there with all the upgrades to make your life easier. But then again, getting those can be an outright chore, as every room has a “hidden” loot that can be unlocked in the wildest ways. Shooting a specific spot, floating somewhere in ghost form, use a lift 3 times, kill enemies in less than 5 seconds, kill all enemies EXCEPT one specific type, kill ONLY a specific type… the list goes on. It often feels random and very much “just use a guide”. What I mean to say is, the gameplay is mostly solid, very much what you would expect, but it is also trying very hard to make you find secrets in very unintuitive ways that often feel like this has to be in it because of the genre and to keep you busy, rather than engaging you with intricately interconnected map design, secret passages and such. This is fine, considering that the setting is a space station which only allows so much variety, of which there is ultimately quite a lot. Bottom line is, I did not find this groundbreakingly awesome, but sufficiently enjoyable most of the time. What I will say is that I rather like the idea of the “ghost” that can possess most of the robots that populate the space station. In this sense we can get lots of variety, for instance by playing as the combat droid for a spell.
But let us proceed to what actually drew me in. In a trailer, we see an early section wherein Ghost explodes a robot, is called out for what the hell this was supposed to be and gleefully goes “Stealth!”. That kind of blatant, unapologetic cringey humor felt just lighthearted enough for me to interest me. And oh boy, did the game deliver on this front. It is rather interesting, for as the plot progresses, we see lots of tongue-in-cheek humor and eye rolling, only missing a laugh track. We get traditional tropes… but we also get very different tones when it comes to them. The trio is developed somewhat thoroughly and actually interesting and relevant questions of the cyberpunk genre ala [i]Ghost in the Shell[/i] come up, alongside the tropey mentioning of “[i]Blade Runner[/i] rules” or whatever. We are told stories by and of other characters only for another to interject and correct that no, this was not an epic adventure, it was just D&D night. This game is [i]nerdy as hell[/i] and just runs with it. And I gotta say, I rather enjoy it for what it is here. It does not take itself too seriously, since it is after all a kind of silly shootey game, complete with the somewhat deliberately cringe voice acting and an episodic format where you are told “Last time on [i]Ghost 1.0[/i] . . . and now the conclusion!” whenever you reload, as if watching an endlessly ongoing TV show. Yet the writers showed themselves adept enough to keep from falling into the super ironic self-awareness trap and make it into one big laughing track. Again, while not groundbreaking or genre defining, I rather enjoyed it for what it is and how deliberately it celebrates a lot of 80s and 90s geek culture whenever it is not asking somewhat profound questions. Definitely a solid, fun cyberpunk experience for me. If a bit janky, but maybe that is just part of the deal.

Los juegos de Fran Unepic destilan un carisma propio que es muy raro ver en los indies de la última década. Lo que pasa es que en todo lo demás son bastante irregulares y este Ghost 1.0 está a medio camino de muchas cosas: dos modos de juegos que no me acaba de quedar claro cual es el bueno, un control y combate no todo lo eficaz cuando la cosa se pone exigente, un diseño de upgrades irregular, desarrollo más monótono de lo que me gustaría.

Es un juego interesante y vale la pena probarlo, pero tiene aristas que a largo plazo se me han hecho demasiado cuesta arriba. Lo bueno es que sus juegos han mejorado con el tiempo y a falta de probar Pampas & Selene, Unmetal es bastante redondo. Este Ghost se me ha quedado a medio camino.

Los diseñadores de Unepic, al crear ese juego, lo hicieron cojonudamente. Pero en este juego se les ha ido la puta olla. Me costó dios y ayuda para matar al primer jefe. Me dá por culo el jefe de la misión "Rescatar a Jaskier". Es que no puedo. Directamente aparezco muerto.

La dificultad es imposible, sobre todo porque mi puto ratón se sale de la pantalla principal por tener conectado otra, y no dejan de tocar los cojones. Ha muerto mi personaje más veces que en todos los videojuegos a los que he jugado y eso es ya en nivel normal.

Complicada algunos escenarios e imposible de conseguir todos los logros. Estoy hasta los mismos huevos... DEJAD DE HACED MIERDAS COMPLICADAS. JUEGOS FÁCILES Y ENTRETENIDOS. LOS RETOS METEOSLOS POR EL CULO.

It took me awhile to get into this game, but once I did, I really enjoyed it. The music, graphics, combat, exploration, plot, characters, voice acting, animations, everything, are all really nice. I didn't like how obscure many of the "hidden souls" were, especially since so many of them are necessary for upgrading your character, but it's not so bad if you use a guide. The game has a lot of variable difficulty options which can make it much more or less challenging. One important thing to note is that the amount of skill points available in one playthrough (I assume you can get more on NG+) are limited, you will not be able to purchase all upgrades so it's important to prioritize the ones you want most.

Good game with a few flaws, like collecting souls that spawn in a room to get a reward, happen way to often and it's only a waste of time. If you don't play in classic mode, it mean that you will lose everything by dying, you can get to your corpse to only get a few thing back and this is, if you can get to the body, cause if it's in a pit with saw in it, you will just die again by collecting the corpse back. Most of the boss are just a DPS check. So it's basically run around, trigger alarm, get reward, boost your damage and it's done until you mess up and have to redo this cycle. Story is interesting with voice acting but nothing to drag about it.

Playing this, I asked myself "why am I putting up with this?" on several occasions.

Having now finished the game, I still don't have an answer.

First off, no, this is not a metroidvania. The point of a metroidvania is to explore a vast environment and [b]find and acquire new abilities[/b], most often traversal abilities, that allow you to access new areas, where you'll find more new abilities, and so on and so forth. Here, the only thing preventing you from walking straight to the final boss right from the start is not having the key. A key is not a new ability. The only thing this game has in common with metroidvanias is the (somewhat) big interconnected map. Otherwise, you have almost all your full kit right from the start, and the only additional traversal abilities you can get are fully optional, acquired with skill points instead of being discovered, and never needed for exploration - the double jump helps with tricky platforming but is never outright required and the other two (air dash and glide) I never used.

Second, like Unepic before it, this game mostly offers annoyances and calls it gameplay. You lose all your stuff upon dying, and while you can reclaim items by returning to your corpse (or never lose them in the first place by saving in classic mode), your energy cubes (i.e money) are gone. And with how expensive everything is, this is a pain. Another good example is the shortcuts : at times you can enter maintenance areas that allow you to move quickly to a previous location. These areas are full of pipes. And guess what, if they're hit by a stray shot, steam starts pouring out - which hurts you. Problem : a bunch of your upgrades are about having autonomous drones accompany you. So you have a choice then : go into the menu and disable everything (and also watch your own regular shots!) then re-enable everything twenty seconds later when you're through the area, or just hit those pipes and then wait for the steam to sloooowly recede. Either way, you're screwed.

Combat is mostly fine, but on more than one occasion the game just throws barrages of unavoidable projectiles at you - you have to either tank it, or burn through tons of regen items to go through it. As for bosses, except for the first one, they're essentially all DPS checks.

But the worst of the worst is the "souls". In nearly every room, you can make some shining motes appear throughout the room, then collect them all for a reward, ranging from just some more cubes to permanent upgrades. The thing is, the conditions for making these motes appear vary from reasonnable (walk into an out of the way corner, clear an optional alarm) to absolutely impossible to reasonnably guess (crouch for 5 full seconds without moving, go back and forth on that elevator three times, wiggle in place like an idiot, kill the enemies in a particular order, use an item but from the menu not from your shortcuts, SAVE AND QUIT THEN RELOAD, open and close the menu, disable a powerup,...). Not only are some of those conditions completely unreasonnable things to do during normal gameplay, there are just so many of them that even if you were aware of them, trying all those things in every single room in the game just to see what will make the damn things appear is just plain stupid. I do not understand how you're supposed to get them without a guide. And before you ask, no, there are no hints anywhere.
You might be tempted to ignore them. But those upgrades add up, and if you get all of the souls of a particular area, you get a very powerful upgrade on top of it. So you really want to do them.

The only interesting mechanic the game has is the ability to exit your mech as a ghost, fly around, and possess other robots. It's a very neat idea, but in practice your main bot is strictly better than absolutely everything you can possess, so you only do it when you need to solve some basic puzzle, or to soften a group from afar. Oh and your main body remains vulnerable during this, so you can't use it during combat.

Structure wise, it's very simple. You arrive to an area, where you need to get the 5 pieces of the key to the next one. Doing this will take you through the [i]entire area[/i] ; there are maybe two or three rooms in the game that are truly optional, and you never need to backtrack, except at the very beginning in the central zone (since it's the one with the locked doors to the other areas). On the way you'll accomplish another story objective. Rinse and repeat, and then you're at the end. Like I said - it's not a metroidvania. There's no exploration. It's more of a slightly open action platformer.

Then, story wise... eh. I guessed the "twist" something like 30 minutes in? It's pretty standard, you can see it coming from a mile away the moment the first element of "foreshadowing" drops. And other than the forgettable story this is "Pop culture : The Game" - to the point where the game doesn't just make references but outright namedrops some of the stuff it talks about. All of this serviced by amateur voice acting that varies between "fine, I guess" to "ugh shut up" in quality.

Anyway, I didn't like it.

The game is a pretty fun Metroid like, the story is somewhat interesting, the characters are fun, the voice acting is a bit amateur, but was still able to work, the gun play was fun, even though I felt that most guns were too gimmicky, I enjoyed the game a lot, it didn't feel too long nor too short, and when I finished the game I started playing the new game plus, and before I knew it I was already half-way through the game again, pretty much speedrunning it, just then I noticed it was 3 in the morning, and I remembered that I don't do new game plus in any game, so stopped, I guess the game was good enough to make me forget about that, I recommend it for fans of Metroid games.

手柄无法完全取代键鼠操作（指开启游戏菜单后鼠标信号会干涉手柄控制，自瞄功能需要使用在讨论区找到的代码才能开启，效果还不好）

UI设计不合理，部分道具栏过大，副武器栏则不足，而且后者还导致在买了过多副武器的情况下，选择副武器界面不能使用手柄选择超出栏位的副武器，只能用鼠标去选择

另外不知道是否是bug，游戏中的bgm时有时无，游戏体验又降了一截，仅有的那点印象还是来自于前传mini ghost的，与厕所穿越记的bgm形成鲜明对比

其他么……就当是特色和探索性设计了，就不提了

キャラの掛け合いは面白い。
ゲームも手堅い作りでいいと思うけど、隠しアイテム探し、敵を全滅させて突破、
しばらくやってると作業感が強くなってくる。

あと敵の修理ドローンが破壊した敵砲台を復活させるのがすごく嫌だった。
このせいで知らない内にダメージを受けていることもあり、ドローンが無限わきなのもあって面倒くさくなった。

よくできているとは思うけど、unepicの方が遊んでて楽しかった。

There are some flaws but for me the characters were charming and I never felt myself wanting to skip the dialog (as I do with most games). I would not say it's really a metroidvaniabut maybe a metroidvania-lite? There is some exploring but not really to any large amount. You do not get new power-ups or abilities to help you progress, you just find keycards to progress through the game. Combat is the real focus of this game. I had some issues with it, until I remapped the controller and then things got far more enjoyable.

Overall if you are looking for a 2d combat focused metroidvania-lite with a decent story, if it a try. It's not too long and you can beat it in a weekend.

Relatively solid metroidvania. Two modes offered, a more traditional mode and 'survival' mode where your progress stays but most items are lost upon death. You keep some styles of permanent upgrades and talents, but others are gone (a few can be picked up by returning to the most recent corpse).

I mostly enjoyed my time with it. I found a few portions unfun.
I thought the story/idea was interesting, but the writing and voice acting left me disappointed most of the time.

Enjoyed this one, fun metroidvania. The only thing I disliked was that you lose your energy cubes on death.. honestly, this added nothing to the game other than annoyance, and potentially more grind. You can avoid it potentially if you quit out fast enough before you die, but yeah.. that I would say is the worst part of the game

Good vibes. This game has a great amount of charm and it really grows on you. I was a little sad when It was over.

Notably fun voice acting with a lighthearted tone to the writing. It kinda reminds me of CrossCode in that way.

The game is crammed with cute little scifi references. When you load a game it sometimes gives a plot summary like it was a classic Star Trek episode lol. "Previously on Ghost 1.0... [plot] ... and now, the continuation."

Es un juegazo, la jugabilidad es muy genial, los diálogos son cómicos y en lo personal los personajes me parecieron entrañables, en especial Ghost, esa revelación final no me la esperaba para nada.

It's all good and fun, until you realize it's utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ repetitive with real joy.

The "metroidvania pattern" is nothing but a joke in this game, as the "survival" aspects are way more nuanced.

All the good stuff is locked behind insane secrets that require you a guide to unlock them, and every damn room has a secret. Sure, none of them are required to finish the game, but each zone getting 100%'ed gives you a nice suit.

Finally, the "extra" missions are developed with keyboard/mouse in mind first. I use a gamepad. :|

Ghost 1.0 was an amazing experience for me. Different in many ways from UnEpic, the developer's previous title, but still maintaining the beautifully comedic tone that the developer is known for. I want to specifically call out how fun the character writing is, filled with cheesy and somewhat dated yet equally heartwarming comedy, and supported by the amazing voice-acting for the trio of main characters, making every dialogue just a joy to listen to. In simple words, the game is so full of heart and joy that it took me back to my earlier days, when gaming was so much simpler)

Design-wise, Ghost 1.0 is a fun mix of 2D-action with Metroidvania elements, both of which are done quite well. Unlike many metroidvanias, Ghost 1.0 doesn't throw many new abilities at you, deciding to focus more on the slow improvement of your already-existent arsenal by unraveling the secrets of the space-station that you're exploring, additionally throwing in new subweapons, many of which I did find to be quite lacking, as it is quite possible to complete the game with just a couple of bought weapons.

One of the main staples of the genre which Ghost 1.0 handles quite well is exploration and secret-hunting — the Nakamura space-station if filled to the brink with secrets, many of which are close to impossible to unravel without the help of a guide, requiring you to perform a series of improbable actions such as save & quit the game. Funny in many ways, but not a very good design choice.

There are some other game-design issues that I've found quite annoying, but overall Ghost 1.0 offers an enjoyable gaming experience, improving on many elements of UnEpic, while moving in a slightly different direction. Still, the game's writing is one of its core strengths, as it's been a while since I've smiled so much during my playthrough.

Which is just too bad, because what I played and saw was good..
A bit frustrating boss battles and difficulty here and there but.. hey.
At least its not super easy and boring either.

I don't know if I will come back to it and finish it but..

Ghost 1.0 is exactly what a good game should be: fun! It is a light, fun, fast metroidvania that is more concerned with the player enjoyment than be "hardcore", "super hard" or "super complex" — everything in the game works for this, the fun, sometimes comical story with a nice pay-off, the awesome music and its adorable hand draw graphics.

Surely a game that you will not regret buying.

Te digo una cosa; el juego de este gran desarrollador indie que más he tardado en adquirir.
Desde el primer momento en el que lo ví, tenía un no sé qué que qué se yo que no me terminaba de convencer. Asín que me he esperado a una buena rebaja.

Creo que la parte más frustrante es la obtención de estrellas. Con acciones demasiado aleatorias y sin pistas para el jugador. No me ha parecido justo.

Al final no me equivocaba mucho.
No está mal, pero es el que menos me ha gustado.

I didn't like it straight away, but then I was hooked. It's a great game, with lots of nerdy humor.

製作精良的小品遊戲，惡魔城玩法，型雖然畫面不精美但流暢性佳，做工細膩，武器種類很多元，有反覆遊玩的價值。
尤其生存模式開放的武器比較多元。整體而言非常值得買!! 這家工作室的遊戲都很精良!!

Pretty good game overall. Just a few things, some bossfights feel unintuitive and other ones feel pointless. The last fight is WAY to unbalanced. But the game is pretty worth, good OST, GREAT characters, nice design and looks. Joer el Fran unepic haciendo juegardos, sigue así Fran eres un crack.
