J'avais énormément aimé le premier Kona, et j'avais hâte de retrouver notre détective québécois, mais je trouve ce second jeu très anxiogène sans vraiment compenser cette tension avec une histoire vraiment palpitante. Plutôt un non pour moi qui joue pour l'histoire et qui aime les mystères, mais pas les crises cardiaques quasi-continues. Je n'apprécie pas vraiment les jeux où on passe son temps dans le noir avec une lampe torche. Au bout d'un moment, je trouve ça lassant x)

Эта игра не для тех кто хочет что то схожее с первой частью но судить по ней тоже не надо
В отличие от первой части кона 2 даёт себя нормально пройти ибо тебе не надо ходить по неизвестным местам по которые не дают тебе определённой цели что бы не потеряться в игре на ещё один очередной час (Да там можно что то пропустить и ходить вечно но ты будешь в сюжетном доме и поиски будут намного легче) чисто и за этого отличия данная часть не даст почувствовать что ты в продолжении а не в новой игре - да это жалко, да больше не услышишь на протяжение несколько часов ту самую легендарную канадскую песню (которая кстати есть и в этой части) но это не отменяет что игра хорошая ибо она даёт очень сильную зимнюю атмосферу и как некоторые симуляторы ходьбы не даёт заскучать и имеет наконец то нормальную концовку что обычно не свойственно разработчикам этой игры
Конечно меня довольно сильно растроили некоторые моменты как допустим:Нет уникальных строений вне сюжета (Обычные маленькие домики которые не дают клочок истории даже) рассказчик стал более серьёзнее не наблюдается юмора ни с его стороны ни с персонажей и главное конкретно "Спойлер" В лаборатории в том же секторе б или с ты нормально не догадаешься что делать
Но даже с этими минусами игра прекрасна в особенности для инди проекта

어떤 사건의 조사를 의뢰받은 탐정이 되어, 한 마을과 그 마을의 향토 기업, 그리고 그 기업의 소유주 일가에게 벌어진 이야기를 밝혀내는 게임이다. 1인칭 어드벤처 게임 형태의 워킹 시뮬레이터로, 전투가 있긴 하지만 큰 비중을 차지하진 않고 대부분의 게임 플레이가 장소를 이동하며 스토리를 감상하는 게임이다. 장르 특성 상 게임 전개 속도가 느린 편이고, 스토리에 따라 게임이 크게 갈리는 경우가 많아 솔직히 큰 기대를 하진 않았는데, 생각보다는 나쁘지 않았던 게임이었다. 게임에 대한 자세한 이야기는 뒤에 이어서 해보기로 한다.

👎 [b]느린 전개 속도[/b]
특히 한국인 한정으로 워킹 시뮬레이터가 가진 고질적인 단점이긴 하지만, 이 게임은 다른 워킹 시뮬레이터들에 비해서도 진행과 전개가 더 느린 편이다. 일반적인 세팅으로 플레이한다면, 게임을 진행하는 중간중간 주인공이 나레이션으로 여러가지를 설명하기도 하고, 기본적으로 탐정이 주인공이기 때문에 사건을 조사하면서 사진도 찍고, 수첩에 글로 남기기도 해서 그런지 안 그래도 느린 장르가 더 느리게 진행된다. 추가로 생존 게임인척 하면서 굳이 없어도 될 약간 귀찮은 정도의 전투나 수집 요소, 달리기 스태미너까지 만들어놔서 개인적으로는 초반 몰입이 너무 힘들다고까지 느껴져서, 초반을 넘기지 못하고 한동안 플레이하지 못하기도 했었을 정도다.

👍 [b]장르의 본질에 충실함[/b]
그럼에도 워킹 시뮬레이터의 장점도 잘 살린 게임이라고 느껴졌다. 앞서 말했듯 답답하고 느린 진행이 이 장르의 단점이라면, 그 느린 진행을 바탕으로 스토리를 풀어내는 스토리 텔링 능력이나, 지역을 이동하며 눈길을 사로잡는 주변 풍경들, 그리고 간단한 퍼즐과 이동의 조합만으로 공포부터 힐링까지 다양한 테마를 커버가 가능하다는 점을 장점으로 꼽을 수 있을 것이다.

한 마을에 발생한 이상 현상과 기업 일가에게 닥친 비극을 조사하는 게임이다보니, 약간의 공포 분위기를 깔고 가는데, 딱 워킹 시뮬레이터가 줄 수 있는 선에서의 긴장감을, 사건을 서서히 파헤치기 시작하는 중반부터 적당히 잘 유지했다는 느낌이 들었다. 실제로 중반으로 접어든 이후부터는 쉬지 않고 끝까지 달렸을 정도로 스토리의 몰입도가 초반하고는 비교도 안 될 정도로 꽤 괜찮았다.

또한 많은 워킹 시뮬레이터들이 선형 진행을 택하고 있는 반면, 이 게임은 지역마다 로딩은 있지만, 같은 지역은 오픈 월드로 구현되어있다. 게다가 그 지역들 맵이 생각 이상으로 넓기 때문에, 구석구석 돌아다니며 어떤 비밀이 숨어있을지 파헤치는 재미가 나쁘지 않았다. 게다가 기본적으로 배경 자체가 눈이 뒤덮인 지역으로 하고, 실사 느낌에서 살짝 벗어난 캐릭터 그래픽과는 달리 풍경은 실사 느낌의 그래픽으로 구현되어 있어, 약간 으스스하고 황량한 느낌이 게임 내내 흐르는 게임임에도 풍경을 보며, 이동하며 나름 힐링도 가능하다.

퍼즐의 경우는 같은 지역을 계속 왔다갔다하며 푸는 방식의 약간의 노가다가 있는 퍼즐이 많긴 하지만, 퍼즐의 난이도 자체는 적당하다고 느껴졌고, 군데군데 세이브 포인트를 배치해두어 워킹 시뮬레이터에 걸맞게 어려워서 클리어하지 못하는 경우는 없게 설계되었으며, 큼직큼직한 지역은 나름 빠른 이동도 구현해두었다. 스토리를 요약해주는 역할을 하는 수첩 메모나 사진은 확실하게 빈 칸으로 표시되어 내가 지금 스토리에서 어느 부분을 놓쳤는지 체크할 수 있다는 점도 꽤 인상적이었다. 전체적으로 워킹 시뮬레이터라는 장르적 문법을 충실하게 이행하면서, 오픈 월드와 편의성, 특유의 스토리를 더해 차별화를 둔 느낌이었다.

👎 [b]아쉬운 점[/b]
그래서 전체를 플레이하는데 긴 시간이 걸리진 않았지만, 기대를 하지 않고 실행했던 처음과, 실망하고 종료했던 초반을 제외하면 이미지가 상당히 바뀐 게임이 되었다. 그럼에도 인디 게임으로서의 한계가 살짝 보이는 아쉬운 점들이 있었는데, 우선 현재 26년 2월 기준으로, 조작 키 바인딩 세팅에 가면 한글 폰트가 깨져서 출력된다. 그리고 수첩 메모를 제외한 모든 수집 요소들의 카운팅을 플레이어들이 일일이 수동으로 해야한다는 점이 있었다.

또한 앞서 말했듯 같은 지역을 왔다갔다하며 푸는 퍼즐이 많은 만큼, 퍼즐 자체의 노가다 성이 충분히 호불호로 작용할 수 있다는 생각이 들었다. 워킹 시뮬레이터인만큼 스토리를 진행할 때 퍼즐이 항상 따라오는데, 노가다라는 글자에 반응한 사람이라면 클리어가 꽤 고통스러울 것이다.

개인적으로 가장 아쉬운 점은 바로, 워킹 시뮬레이터임에도 이동 시 조작감이 그닥 좋은 편이 아니라는 점. 특히 중반부에 개썰매를 끌고 돌아다니는 파트가 꽤 길게 자리잡고 있는데, 개썰매의 조작감이 개인적으로는 특히 별로였다. 뭔가 입력과 따로 노는 듯한 반박자 느린 피드백과 더불어 키마 기준으로 시점 움직이는 걸 보고있으면 멀미에 강한 사람도 하얀 배경과 어우러져 멀미가 절로 날 지경이었다.

[b]-정리-[/b]
사실 단점으로 서술한 항목이 두 가지로 장점 항목보다 단점이 많음에도, 전체적인 평점은 추천을 준 이유는 확실하다. 장르 자체를 즐기려고 온 사람이라면, 워킹 시뮬레이터라는 본질에 충실한 게임이라는 점이 큰 가산점이 될 것이기 때문이다.

워킹 시뮬레이터를 찾고 있는 사람이 한다면, 워킹 시뮬레이터임을 감안해도 생각 이상으로 초반이 지루할 것이고, 사건이 서서히 밝혀지는 중반부터 생각 이상으로 흥미진진해질 것이다. 별 기대를 하지 않고 시작한다면 괜찮고, 기대하고 시작하면 그저 그런 게임이 되겠지만, 애초에 워킹 시뮬레이터에 엄청난 기대를 하고 플레이하는 사람은 없기 때문에...

전체적으로 미스테리하고 은은한 분위기의 공포가 게임 끝까지 긴장감있게 쭉 이어지는 편이지만, 깜짝 놀래키는 요소는 전혀 없으니 너무 쫄지 않고 편하게 플레이해도 괜찮다. 오히려 공포 면역인지 여부와는 관계없이 3D 멀미에 강하고, 느긋하게 즐길 준비가 된 사람이 크게 기대하지 않고 시작한다면 나쁘지 않은 경험을 선사할 게임이라고 생각한다.

Kona II is a pretty solid sequel to the first, it retains the similar atmosphere as the first yet makes it feel new. Gameplay was changed a bit yet didn't feel like it strayed too far to seem totally different, the story wrapped up fairly well. Graphics are very good and the performance is as well. The voice acting was great however I gotta say although I liked him and he felt right but I do miss the original narrator from the first game. Overall if you like the first Kona you'll probably like this one as well especially if you got them on sale like I did 8/10 would love to see more games from Parabole.

Sadly enough... I cant' really recommend that.

Altho the graphics are better, this is not better than the first one.

Big spaces with no places to go... 3 branches ways, but with 2 obsivously closed, etc... cheap puzzles, cheap story writing... I don't know. Don't get the gist maybe.

There are way better "walking simulators" out there.

It's not good. The gameplay is even more of a walking sim than the first game, and if that was the only issue I could easily forgive it.
But the plot is just not there. You start where the last game left off: escaping the Wendigo on a boat. The entire first game? Learning the Wendigo existed and not getting eaten.
You are on the boat for 2 minutes, then some dudes shoot you and you escape to shore, explore the manor of the rich guy who hired you, and find out he 1. Had cancer/radiation poisoning 2. Was mining something radioactive 3. Evil research project. This takes maybe 20 minutes.
At that point, what else is there to tell? There is nowhere for the plot to go, and I don't feel like spending 10 hours getting there.

Just as fantastic as the first game! It picks up right where the original kona left off, and fills in all the blanks of the story as you uncover the rest of the mysteries surrounding Hamilton. I really like that they played into the supernatural elements a lot with this one and that the gameplay felt the same with a few improvements (like a journal that's much easier to follow, unlimited inventory and amazing graphics). The new narrator took a little bit getting used to given it's a bit of a contrast to the cosy elderly man we hear narrate the first game, but I think he really fit given the stakes were so much higher in the sequel. Overall it was so fun with a great plot and very lovely game mechanics, like the dog sled! It's the type of game you don't get tired of and that's so entertaining to get all the achievements in.

[H1][i] Périple sans babiches[/i][/h1]Suite de Kona premier du nom, qui finissait de manière un peu frustrante, Kona 2 reprend immédiatement là où ce dernier s'était arrêté.

Et, même si on est assez peu dépaysé par l'ambiance, suivant les investigations de Carl Faubert sur la mort de son commanditaire et le froid mystérieux apparu dans la région, Kona 2 est un jeu relativement différent.

Les mécaniques "secondaires" restent assez similaires (inventaire et craft, quelques armes pour se défendre même si la majorité du gameplay est plutôt centré sur l'exploration et l'investigation), mais la trame de fond change : d'une zone très vaste où faire des aller-retours, on passe à une "fuite en avant" avec plusieurs zones principales et différentes qu'il s'agit d'explorer, avant de passer à la suivante.
L’ambiance est donc similaire mais en même temps un peu différente du premier épisode, mais on y entre plutôt facilement.
On a également l'occasion de rencontrer quelques personnes, qui viennent étoffer l'histoire et la rendent plus vivante, avec, cette fois-ci, une vraie conclusion.

Went back to play Kona 1 in anticipation of playing this after it being on my wishlist for a few years. Kona II is a drastic improvement over the last game, and I have enjoyed both very much. In my opinion Kona II has a much deeper story, better gameplay, better visuals and was generally easier to keep engaged with.

The other thing I really enjoyed was the overall environment and feeling of the world. Both Kona 1 & 2 feel distinctly different to me than other similar games. The narration and style really feels like Northern Canada, as someone who only has minimal experience with the area.

All in all definitely a step in the right direction, and I hope they get to make Kona III!

Kona 2 is a miserable slog through empty corridors and labyrinthine levels that completely guts everything that made the first game good.

The Good
- The dogsled, while a step down from the car in the original, is a fun way to move around the map and works well with the setting.
- yeah thats all i've got lol

The Bad
- Empty, boring world. You walk/sled from point A to point B with nothing of interest at all in between. Exploration is, at best, rewarded with pick ups you will already have in abundance from following the critical path. Side cases have been removed, so don't expect to find anything but a couple batteries and a medkit when going off the beaten path.
- Because exploring is pointless, the "detective" part of this detective game is nonexistent. You don't need to go out and investigate every nook and cranny of the map to assemble clues and figure out what happened, virtually everything will be handed to you as you follow the main path. It doesn't feel like you're solving a mystery at all.
- The story itself is pretty abysmal. While the overarching story in the first game wasn't anything to write home about, the sequel throws most of it out the window and instead rolls with the most generic sci-fi plot possible.
- The secret lab level is an agonizing maze that makes you backtrack between a handful of grey hallways and a central control room to flick different combinations of switches for two hours.
- The narrarator is a big step down from the first game.

Nitpicks
- Unnecessary streamlining. The paper map from the first game is replaced with a standard pause screen map you'd find in any FPS game. Carry weight has been removed, as have many of the items like smokes, beer and throwable meat. All fireplaces in the world now have logs directly next to them.
- A lot of the charm has been sanded off. Since there's no car, the radio music from the first game is almost entirely gone. Carl feels like he's been partially lobotomized, his input when interacting with objects in the world is all matter-of-fact.
- Combat is servicable but not particulaly good.
- Characters, with maybe the exception of Jules, are all bland and uninteresting.
- Invisible wall spam over small ledges makes moving through some areas a bigger pain than it should be.

The Dealbreaker
- A train tunnel at the very end of the game that leads to the final area had an impregnable invisible wall right in the middle of it that prevents entry. I tried reloading a save, restarting the game, verifying the game file integrity and straight up reinstalling, no dice. Game has been out for over two years at the time of writing, a fix seems unlikely.

tl;dr: Just play Kona 1.

I really wanted to like this game after the first "failed" me kinda hard. TLDR I waited 9 years to complete it, only to find it a shallow 3-piece game that should have been a 20 minute experience rather than a game.

Kona 2 is definitely more polished. Better voice acting, majorly better graphics and atmosphere, etc. I found the story more compelling, and overall this could ..... COULD ..... have been amazing, but it falls down on each of its pillars so hard that it faceplants.

The main gripe: Level Design. The majority of times, you HAVE to walk back on yourself to accomplish a goal. I despite games like this, as I always feel you want to be moving forward, but instead you constantly repeat steps to grab an item to go back, to flick a switch, to go back, yadda yadda.

Secondly - plot points. Huge misses here. WTF where did [spoiler]your character is dying and will more than likely die[/spoiler] just happen to be casually mentioned, never brought up again before, during, or after, and never developed!? And we read 500+ witness testimonies saying a chap was ill, just for our super detective character to say, many hours in, "It wasn't clearly evident that they were ill". What the.......

Third: How easy it is. At the end, I won't spoil what and where, but I felt absolutely ZERO pressure. The game has health, heat, stamina, and batteries/ammo. When I first got into the game and realised it had batteries, I tried rationing a bunch. After 1hr~ I had collected like...... 50? I realised they were pointless. Same with ammo - conserved all the ammo, realised by the end I never needed to (had 40+ bullets for each weapon). And health......... I never went below 90% health the entire game on the standard mode, and by the end ran past the big baddies shoving my middle finger up at them with 20+ medi packs under my utility belt.

I really hope that the team goes away and further iterates on their formula. They have some of the basics right with the story as a whole and just how much further it can be taken, but the fact its wrapped in a sub-par game is such a shame.

Great exploration game. Not really a shooter, but has some mild FPS action. Mostly exploration and quests. The levels are well designed. A lot of variety with indoor and outdoor places.

Some comments for the game developers:
The pick-ax climbing: Speed it up. It takes to long, and you are just pressing the W button so it is not fun at all.

Reprenez votre rôle de détective Carl Faubert, chargé de découvrir les origines énigmatiques de cette force surnaturelle. Parcourez les paysages enneigés et rencontrez des victimes et survivants d'une avalanche dévastatrice. Votre mission ultime : retracer le sombre secret derrière la Brume... et chercher à l'éliminer.

Et ca résume plutôt bien , alors est ce un triple A non, 50h de durée de vie non plus, mais le studio à quand fait du bon travail , graphiquement , les doublage etc, le jeu se résume vraiment à une histoire qu'on suis tous simplement.

Il y a des énigmes à résoudre, des objets à trouver, des petites balade à traineaux, il m'aura fallu pour ma part 10 / 11h de jeu en y allant vraiment chill , oui c'est pas beaucoup , mais peut on vraiment juger un jeu sur ca durée , je pense pas mais sur la qualité du titre , les soins apporté par l'équipe .

Je dit pas que c'est un grand jeu , mais assez pour m'avoir plu :)

Sur ces 10h de jeu j'ai eu aucun crash, bug, artefact ou autre qui à dérangé l'expérience , et ca déja c'est un très bon point !
(il y a que la mappage des touches qui est un peu foireux , aprés plusieurs ajustement dans les options on fini par correctement mappé et pouvoir jouer dans de bonne conditions, aucun blocage au finale)

Oui je vous le recommande si vous aimez les jeux narratifs , et qui regroupe aussi du fps, de l'exploration, des casses têtes.

J'ai enfin fini les 2 jeux KONA. Et faut le dire, c'était très sympa ces petits jeux narratifs.

Le deuxième corrige quelques defauts du premiers mais en même temps en rajoute. Qu'est-ce qu'il est lent parfois, les combats sont mous et sans aucun jus, c'est dommage. J'aurai aimé un coté un peu + survie, surtout dans le mode difficile qui est ultra simple. J'ai vraiment la sensation que le développement du jeu a été chaotique, et que pleins de choses ont été achevé rapidement pour le sortir.

Sinon la narration est parfaite, le doublage Québécois est parfait, visuellement c'est très beau mais finalement on en profite rarement de cette beauté, y'a jamais un moment où on se pose et on dit "wow". Y'a pleins de bonnes idées mais mal finies. J'ai + eu l'envie de finir le jeu pour l'histoire que pour le reste.

Pourtant j'ai tout exploré, j'ai presque 100% le jeu. Pareil l'exploration est pas toujours très bonnes, c'est souvent le même parterns d'objets.

Bref j'ai adoré pleins de chose, j'ai été déçu d'autres. Mais globalement pour l'histoire et pour l'écriture je recommande fortement !

Et qui sait... Peut-être qu'on aura le droit à un dernier chapitre pour finir la trilogie...

It is not horribly bad, but not good either. Lack of updates from developer on some bugs, and some annoyances, and rushed ending are my major complaints.

Good: really good music, varied atmosphere, dogs, good voice acting, and general graphics and environments.

Bad: a bit too easy, linear, while also a lot of running in circles, and wasted time. You will spend two hours in one location, because game forces you to go 8 times through the same rooms, in convoluted ways. Keyboard shortcuts are horrible, E, Esc, Tab are all horrible and inconsistent, scroll wheel works bad, no hotkeys, only 8 save slots, broken achievements. FOV cannot be adjusted.

And story is meh, while some elements are good, it lack quite a bit, and especially the ending is bad.

It is playable, in most aspects it is worse than 1st game. In some (very few), maybe better. Overall I did enjoy the first one more.

On a plus side, Linux version works nicely with Vulkan used by default, and it plays smoothly. And no crashes. Save system could be better too. (For first few hours I did not even know there is a way to save game, because it is kind of hidden behind fire place mechanic).

If you enjoyed the first Kone game, and this one is on heavy discount, it is still ok to grab it. But skipping it also ok. I got about 12 hours of game play, but this is really stretched due to me trying to 100% complete it, with achievements, and running in circles quite a bit. With more normal game play it is maybe 9 hours total. Some people finish it even faster, like maybe 6-7 hours.

I wasn't so sure if I was going to like it at the beginning, and as I didn't play the first Kona, I didn't know what to expect. But as I like exploration, I continued playing, and it became an addiction; I just couldn't stop until it was over. It is very immersive, and the story is really good. I loved wandering around in the snow because the environment is beautiful. There's another plus... You can pet dogs. :)

Kona Brume offers a bit more information for players curious about what happened after the first game, but sadly I can’t recommend it, as it’s not for everyone.

Although the map is larger, the story feels strangely linear with very little to do outside the main objectives, and some plot points [spoiler](like Hamilton’s affair)[/spoiler] feel irrelevant and add nothing to the overall mystery, while major questions such as [spoiler] Carl’s long-term effects from the Mistanite or how the town’s events reach the outside world remain unanswered. Even the surviving characters like Jules and the others who are still alive receive almost no meaningful follow-up.[/spoiler]

The map system is frustrating because you can’t walk while checking it, which constantly breaks immersion, and the new shooting mechanics feel shallow and impactless, basically just firing until an enemy drops or walks away rather than engaging in real fight, and the journal system is surprisingly buggy. Sometimes you literally can’t turn a page, and when the game asks you to take specific photos for the journal, it often only recognises them at a very precise angle, which becomes frustrating fast.

but still, if you genuinely enjoy spending a lot of time hunting for clues and you’re a 100% completion type of player, there is some satisfaction to be found. I finished all of the pages and I won’t lie, it did give me a bit of joy.

When I started Kona II: Brume, I hoped for a strong atmosphere and a good story. In many moments, those expectations were met. The game looks better, the narration feels smoother, and there is more attention to detail in the environment. There is less walking around and more real investigation, with a dark, cold atmosphere that works well.

On the other hand, the game could be more dynamic. The pacing sometimes slows down, and even though the world feels bigger, it does not always use its full potential. The limited interactions and simple puzzles make it feel a bit flat at times.

Kona II: Brume is quite an interesting experience! The graphics are pretty nice—while they might not win any awards, they definitely set the mood for a walking simulator. The game isn’t heavy on horror, but it does have a darker story that kept me intrigued.

Muy bien, sí señor. Muy buena continuación del primer Kona. La historia sigue allí donde lo dejamos en la primera parte, por tanto, imprescindible jugarla y conocer dónde se ha metido el protagonista.

El juego tiene una trama muy intrigante, llena de misterio, aventura y momentos de terror. Aunque el final me hubiera gustado que se profundizara más en el reencuentro de los diferentes personajes con el protagonista, creo que el juego en general termina por resolver el gran misterio que alberga esta zona ficticia llamada Manastan.

La ambientación está muy lograda, siguiendo con el frío del norte de Quebec como elemento principal a superar. Realmente es un juego muy inmersivo.
Buenos gráficos y efectos sonoros. Notable acompañamiento musical.

Huelga decir que el juego tiene un bug que sucede en algún momento en el diario del protagonista (no puedes avanzar o retroceder las páginas; tan solo llega al próximo punto de guardado, entra y sale del juego y se arregla, al menos así fue para mí). También algún bug gráfico pero nada del otro mundo.
Me gustaría que cuando interaccionas con los personajes tuvieras la oportunidad de avanzar la conversación (pues si la repites, tienes que esperar a que termine de platicar).

En general, un juego que destaca por la historia y su forma de narrarla, por la ambientación que tiene y los momentos de investigar y explorar los diferentes escenarios. Momentos de terror muy escasos, y los enfrentamientos con enemigos son sencillos. Recomiendo jugar en modo supervivencia.

Si te gustó el primer Kona, este te encantará.

前期各种表现效果上的不合理，给我的感觉只有贴图模型的堆放，没有精细的设计。比如玻璃门一斧头就能劈开，要么换一种门，要么解释为什么不这样做，单纯无法打开就显得很突兀
控制菜单汉化错乱。
部分收集解密要素过于功利，为了找而找，为了绕而绕。
总体而言还是不错。
跑路模拟器这一块，我是接受不了。

Un'avventura che vi farà gelare il sangue.
Cosa si cela tra la neve e una strana nebbia che avvolge le terre del Québec? Perchè gli animali sono diventati aggressivi? Da dove provengono le insidiose radiazioni nell'area? E qual'è l'origine della creatura che aggredisce tutto ciò che vede?
Kona 2 è decisamente migliorato rispetto al primo capitolo, c'è tanto da vedere e da esplorare e la storia assume contorni sempre più cupi e misteriosi. Ed è proprio il mistero che crea un senso di forte interesse in questo gioco, oltre alle innevate ambientazioni e agli strani eventi, saremo sempre più spronati ad andare avanti per dare un senso a tutto ciò che sta accadendo.
Il comparto survival è molto basico, così come i nemici che sono circa di 3/4 tipologie, ma quello su cui punta tutto questo gioco è proprio l'esplorazione e la raccolta di indizi per svelare il mistero che ci affligge fin dal primo capitolo.
Personalmente ritengo Kona 2 un ottimo gioco, e spero che il Team prosegua se non con un terzo capitolo almeno con questa tipologia di giochi d'esplorazione/mistero.
Consigliato agli amanti del genere.

Pros:
+Might be the only I've played that you can set to Canadian french, and is set in Quebec
+Really nice winter/snow/cold visual and sound effects.
+Fantastic story that got me hooked. Narrator sounds great, esp. in the original french.
+Loved the journal. Taking pictures of things (highlights when it is relevant to the investigation) was very cool, though a bit underutilised and completely optional. The fact that ghosts don't appear in the pics is a nice touch (except the ghost dogs in the lab kennels, oops!).
+Supernatural sequences were very cool. Reminded me of the scrying magic in Clive Barker's Undying, seeing ghosts of the past and all that. Kinda wish we had some measure of control over it somehow... maybe for a sequel?
+The lab level was very clever in the way you unlock it bit by bit and fun to explore. I was really dreading/excited to find some messed up stuff and some sections certainly delivered... others were a bit barebones and a little boring.
+The manor had a great vast layout with multiple floors, beautiful decor and smartly used locked sections to funnel you through without feeling too linear. I appreciated the real-life art and literature you could pick up and read. Fantastic place to investigate and piece out what happened.
+The few guns have kick, good animations, are loud and have a good feel.

Neutrals (things you might like or dislike) :
~The game lacks survival mechanics. No thirst/hunger. No hunting. Game actively discourages killing animals, even as they are attacking you. You get an achievement if you don't kill anything (I defended myself from a wolf that I thought you couldn't avoid at the start so I didn't get it, sadge).
~Game is very easy. Even on highest difficulty. Resources are plentiful (with a bit of searching) while threats are limited. The game is more focused on story/narration/exploration/investigation.
~No explicit references/connection to first game, except the first page of journal. I didn't play the 1st one (yet), so I didn't mind. While it's nice to be standalone, it's also nice to get to know the character's past experiences a little.
~Dogsled is a cool method transportation, but it's kinda slow. Kinda felt like it padded out the gametime without adding much significant to the story. Also you can't use any items while riding. It was alright but had potential to be much better.
~A bit on the short side. You could probably beat it in 8-10 hrs (I took longer due to backtracking and finding optional stuff). Doesn't overstay its welcome nor get repetitive though, story keeps moving forward.

Cons:
-Load times could be pretty long at times.
-A bit buggy. One time a ghost wolf hit me and I phased into the decor, stuck and had to reload. I had a crash when opening the garage door in the lab. Dogsled went out of world when going uphill, then I teleported back up with two dogs missing, which was a little weird but funny. Enemies can instant-spawn on you and instantly hit you with attack animation.
-Can't skip dialog.
-Ending felt rushed and unsatisfying. There is no outro cinematic of any kind, not even a narrated voice conclusion, which considering the narrative form of the game story was pretty surprising. I hope our detective got well paid at least.
-Animations are tedious and slooooooow. Esp. going up ladders, climbing ice walls... and going down is just as slow. Sometimes anims are seemingly in your way just to slow you down. Remember : fun trumps realism every time, plus a lot of us don't have much time for video games. Also if you HAVE to make them, make them controlled and have surprises with them like in Outlast.
-Not a single shootout. You get chased at the intro by some hostile humans, but they never show up again, except as corpses. The game gives you 3 guns, loads you up with tons of ammunition and then all you get to use it on is ghosts. Was really disappointed there wasn't even A SINGLE hostile person to at least sneak around.
-Lack of enemy variety. I won't spoil the little there is, but suffice it to say there are 4 enemies. Yep. 4. Plus alive variants of 3 which you are supposed to avoid. They get the job done I guess, but damn.
-Map isn't really helpful. Several times I had a hard time finding things/where to go with it. Would be cool if it told you if there was unfound collectibles in the area like in RE Village. Therefore, wasn't interested in collectible hunting. Also, can't leave notes, just a single waypoint (better than nothing I guess).
-There are a few friendly NPCs, but their dialog was a bit stiff, unconvincing and I'm guessing the actors probably lacked experience. Main character doesn't have a voice (this can work just fine, just look at Deus Ex). Dialog options are limited. As a detective communication are an essential part of your job, incl. detecting lies, pushing for more information, asking the right questions, building rapport, adapting to different persons, etc etc. Again, though I liked that there was french canadian voice acting, that's great! I hope this can be really pushed to the next level in the next game.

Conclusion:
As a whole I really enjoyed the experience. A very decent and immersive horror game with enough unique mechanics to set itself apart from the pack, but nothing groundbreaking. They've joined Frictional Games in this niche which I'm very fond of and I'm very much looking forward to the next game in the series, hopefully following the events of this game. There's a ton of unexplored potential with the detective and supernatural themes at work here.

Highly recommend, especially if you speak french!

ストーリーのある没入型ウォーキングシミュレーターでは珍しい、前のエリアに戻れる良作。
取り逃しが気になる探索厨（私含め）に優しいのでとても助かりました。

戦闘について……主に動物と戦うのですが、銃弾が腐るほどあるのでバンバン撃っちゃって大丈夫です。
それどころか ”野生の” 動物については遠くから一発撃つだけで逃げていくので戦闘を避けられます。
（サバイバルモードはやってないので一概に↑とは言えないです。ごめんなさい。）

ストーリーについて……前作やってなくてもわかる。実際私はやってない。
一応マップに目的地を出してくれるが、話はちゃんと聴いておいた方が迷わないです。
あと結構ボリューミー。隅々まで探索しているということもあるが、私は12～13時間くらいかかった。

グラフィックについて……良いに決まってるじゃん。
ただ、推奨GPUちょうどの性能のPCでプレイしていたら所々カクついてしまったので余裕持った方がいいと思います。

I just finished the game for the first time, and as the credits rolled I actually felt like applauding. I wasn't sure if the sequel would be able to match Kona, but it succeeds in spades. The story, the art and the music... wow! Kona is fantastic, but Brume manages to top it. Well done!

It was overall better than the first game, cant say too much, it is a bit to handle id say where it felt like there was a lot of mechanics that are dry or not used at all. I appreciate the not so cheesy investigation. The charm is still there, cannot say i have ever played a game similar. The lab SUCKS poo poo doo doo. I like the first games narrator more than this one. All in all? Dont play the first game, just play this one.

This game is a let down for me because I can't complete it. It crashes every single time I go to leach lake. I've tried fully minimum settings, the different 'fixes' that has been posted, nothing works. I can run much more graphically demanding games without a single issue and my pc is not that old. It's a shame because this game was fun so far but how that crash hasn't been fixed when it's affected a lot of people is annoying. What a shame.

I was a fan of the original Kona game. Unfortunately, Kona II Brume doesn't live up to its predecessor. At all.

Starting with technicals, it just keeps on crashing at location changes or when loading saves. One has to reduce the display resolution to barely readable, load the save, and revert the resolution to the original.
The user interface seems to be designed exclusively for consoles. Cannot proceed with a mouse click, only by pressing E key??? List/journal navigation and selection only by keyboard??? Etc.

The game itself is made dumber by highlihting interactive objects. Compared to the freedom of threading the snow in Kona (almost) anywhere, Brume limits even outdoors trips to linear walks in a tube. Real freedom is seldom given to the player.
Some shameful barriers are simply ridiculous. Stopped by a door despite having both a hatchet and guns? No way to dismantle a barricade?

Anyone going for the badges, a walkthrough is a MUST. Because taking a photo a step away won't get in the journal.

There are only a few games I didn't finish. It's one of them.
I might get the patience sometime. But it takes patience and endurance instead of enjoying it.

Thank you to all involved in producing Kona 2. It provided a satisfactory conclusion to Kona 1 ending.

Both Kona 1&2 give the full detailed story of the Kona world.

I loved the story of the Kona world, and enjoyed the game play of both games immensely.

Хорошая игра. Постоянно держит в напряжении, но фактически в ней ничего страшного нет. Очень любопытно было побродить и поизучать обстановку - атмосферно. Сначала кажется, что это выживалка, но тут этого нет - индикатор переохлаждения у вас вряд ли когда-то убудет до конца. Погибнуть в игре тоже сложно, несмотря на то, что враги тут присутствуют. В первую часть не играл - не могу сказать хуже эта или лучше.

До самого конца игра надоесть не успела. Однозначно рекомендую.
