починаючи з простої європейської церквушки і в даль святих земель вам прийдеться чистити коридорні локації і це не набридає та як вони швидко проходяться і часто міняються а з ними міняються види ворогів які тут є пару видів і вони між собою трошкі різні когось можна легко заспамит одним прийомом комусь комбо подавай для когось магію прийдеться використовувати і це не надоїдає бойовка приємна хоча раз через раз багується як і самі противники але якогось дратування не викликає
а вот шо викликає це сюжет
купа запитаннь а натомість 0 відповідів хто такий Пол чому він рятує адель і чому в неї такі здібності
як трапилось що і мено вона народилась з такими ультравміннями і як папаримський з мусульманами договорився та банально шось що моглоб розплутати і зробити цікавим сюжет нема це чисто проходняк

Recently played this again (finished it this time) and same as back then, I can still say this feels a little bit like a successor to Enclave (2002), but much more straightforward and simplified. I suppose they didn't have enough budget for a proper sequel to Enclave (which they actually announced by the way) and opted for something simpler instead. It's made in the same engine and you can see assets from Enclave. The combat is simple, you have a melee weapon and a bow. More melee weapons can be found as you progress, but for the most part you'll just want to use the latest one that you found because it'll be the most powerful one. There's also different combo moves that you'll learn throughout the game, but again, mostly you'll just want to spam the best one. Game's fully linear. Locations look good but they are definitely not as imaginative or varied as in Enclave.

Interestingly, this game has a sequel developed by a different company. I played it as well many years ago, it was more open than the first game and had some RPG elements and a quest system, but the implementation was awkward. It was also pretty buggy. It had its charm though, and I remember as a kid I was even very engrossed by it. Not sure if you can buy it digitally anymore.

It's interesting to look back at these old games and see them in all their clunky and unrefined glory. Back then it was all new and exciting and it was very easy to look past (or, well, being oblivious to) bad implementation or not very well designed gameplay systems. Still, Knights of the Temple plays okay as of today. I encountered one bug during the final boss fight - the game consistently crashed when going to the back part of the big room, so I just tried to avoid going there, which made an already difficult fight even more annoying, but it proved doable in the end. So overall, not by any means the most exciting action game by today's standards, but I think it holds up okay, especially if you like games from that period.

I used to play this game as a kid on playstation 2. Amazing game, and the game-music is in the class of masterpiece.
This game REQUIRES a REMASTER.
Knights of the Temple II by Developer Cauldron was a let down.
Starbreeze studios should recognize their masterpeice and continue to work on a series themselves.

10/10 would re-play this game over and over.

Combat is way too repetitive because of the constant blocking!

Knights of the Temple really is a failed game franchise and that’s a big shame because that franchise has good potential and Knights of the Temple 3 could’ve made the franchise better!

I doubt Knights of the Temple 3 will happen but we really need Knights of the Temple 3!

As much as I like to play as a crusader that game Knights of the temple infernal crusader is just not it because of the enemies constantly blocking my attacks nonstop!

Wasting time trying to beat Knights of the temple infernal crusade is just not worth it!

I have to say that The Cursed Crusade is way better!

Экшёновый сюжет, потрясные локации, боёвка классная до сих пор, разнообразные противники.
Одни плюсы. Была трудность только с локализацией. Хорошо, что появился русификатор, который всё перевёл, и озвучка и текст...всё как в старые добрые времена)

This is a funny little game - a rare example of a decent Hack n' Slash Adventure game, that while not doing anything special, manages to stand out in a way that is more unique than it has a right to have.

It released in Europe on the Gamecube, and sadly the US never saw a release, which is a shame because this looks like a perfect little game that I could've played on the OG xbox if I got the chance (with the added bonus of "Don't worry mom. You play as a good guy" on top of that, so no worries of getting into trouble for a "violent video game" for when looking for something to do after completing your 5th grade homework on a February evening).

Software-wise, it doesn't do anything new.
It's camera mechanics are a fixed point that you can manipulate. Enemies spawn in via triggers placed on the level, and you could describe this as nothing more than a Resident Evil hack-n-slash with railroaded level design, where everything starts somewhat grounded and normal, then slowly escalates.

Narrative structure, it goes for a Half Life style where one level leads into the next almost organically. After you complete a string of levels, a nice cutscene plays that gives you just enough exposition to explain why your next string of levels are in a different location.

The cutscenes are also viewable in the Extras menu after you unlock them so you can re-watch them or play them in case you decide to skip the cutscene (which I don't recommend because they're decently animated considering this is a solid B+ game, made in 2004).

Anywhere there's an alternate path to follow, there's a reward. Plus, the level design is already claustrophobic so there's no reason to be lost on how to proceed (with that one exception to THAT ONE DARN SEWER LEVEL!!!!).

Exploring rewards you with better versions of the weapons you have (which you get from going off the beaten path anyway), and the levels are claustrophobic, so there's no reason to not explore the levels whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Speaking of Game Design - the first level is brilliant because you will discover within the first 5 seconds whether or not you do or don't like the game, and as someone who's been screwed over by not knowing whether or not I like a game after the steam refund time expires, I deeply appreciate such level design from over 2 decades ago, where back then I could sell my game for the same amount I bought it at my local pawn shop if I realized that it just wasn't my cup of tea.

The game itself is nothing special from a software perspective, but for a game from 2004, I'd say its a solid B+, and it's good for what it is - a rare case of a Hack n' Slash Adventure game.

If you can snatch this game when it's on sale, fine. You can do that if you don't think you'd like it. But at the same time, it's $10 USD. It's not like you're forfeiting a coffee just to play a 7/10 game.

Anyways, yes, this is my surface level "tl/dr" of why I recommend Knights of the Temple.

It's a fine relic of older, simpler times and a way to reintroduce your older self to how video games were back in the late 90's to early 2000's before the Xbox 360 and "new gen" showed up with more impressive hardware.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

And now I get to explain why I love this weird oddball of a game.

SPOILERS GALORE.

The real meat and potatoes of the game comes from it's absurdly unique narrative (that SHOULDN'T BE unique, mind you).

You play the game, starting as a Templar Squire named "Paul". 2 things the game's already done to separate itself from everything else:

1, you start the game playing an equivalent of a low tier unit from a Medieval 2: Total War game, and I love starting the game as a nobody, then earning your respect as an in-game character as the game continues and the narrative unfolds

2, you play as a Templar. NEVER in any video game media I've played do you play as a Templar (screw off Assassins Creed Black Flag and Rogue - you don't count!)

The only other game that has the player character be a Templar (Not even that - a CRUSADER in this case) is [b]Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption[/b] with Christoph! (which I think came out the same time, if I'm not mistaken???)

Paul falls under the archetype of the "goodie two-shoes" type of character, as most Chivalrous lawful good types of characters usually fall under.

Now it's important that I point out how unique this SHOULD NOT EVER have become, which is how despite Paul being a carboard cutout of a character, I ended up liking him so much, because... I'm not sure if anybody noticed, but lawful good tends to be written off as something that has been mocked for a while...?

Over the course of the mid-2000's, through the 2010's, and even now entering the 2020's, media somehow ended up drowning in protagonists all trying to copy Kratos and complaining [i]"Oo0oOo0h! Look at how edgy I am! I listen to Linkin Park and complain about how bad humanity is! Oo0oOoh!"[/i] Like they've been written by the guys who wrote Crossed and try to be
the Punisher without ever actually understanding how the character works! And somehow if they weren't that, they were a character from the 2024 Borderlands movie (Not in the literal sense, but you know what I mean).

[b]LITERAL. DECADES[/b] of a specific character type being used over and over again, has led to this scenario where some dude with a sword going "I'm here to praise God, kill demons, and volunteer at my local charity, and you demons just burnt down my local charity!" becoming refreshing, because it's DIFFERENT than what is normally seen.

tl;dr we have entered an age in media and games where [i]the stereotypical good guy[/i] has become refreshing.

And that's why I appreciate Paul as a character, even though we don't see a lot under his helmet (for good reason).

And THAT is what makes Knights of the Temple: Infernal Crusade so absurdly unique - it's narrative is great, and simply something that I haven't seen in a very long time, if at all!

[h1]Game Summary and Opinion[/h1]
An underrated hidden gem of a Hack N' Slash Action-Adventure from 2004 that holds up remarkably well. It's not a masterpiece by any means but if you're anything like me who was and/or is obsessed with PS2-era hack n' slash games, you will definitely fall in love with the simple yet satisfying combat and engrossing atmosphere. Controls do require rebinding to the more modern [i]WASD + Mouse Attack[/i] control scheme that we've grown accustom to for the past [b]15+ years[/b] but other than that, [b][i]Knights of the Temple: Infernal Crusade[/i][/b] is more than playable in the modern era of PC Gaming; both in terms of withstanding the test of time and the overall quality of the PC port.

[h1]PC Port and Performance[/h1]
As previously stated above, the only thing that's required to do; or rather [i]recommended[/i] to do is to simply rebind the controls to the more modern[b][i] WASD + Mouse Attack[/i][/b] (Light Attack - Mouse 1 and Heavy Attack - Mouse 2). Apart from that, the game plays and controls fairly modern considering its age. The game does use a fixed camera perspective but the actual controls themselves are fluid and responsive similar to (PS2) God of War or (PS2) Devil May Cry albeit a lot more grounded given its themes and setting. The Port supports just about any resolution you can think of including Ultra-Wide of all things.

I did notice a few oddities that are more mild annoyances than legitimate problems but I figured I might well include them here in case anyone else experience them;

[*]Every now and then, the controls will randomly revert back to their default key bindings. Thankfully this only happens whenever you relaunch the game and not during gameplay. Again mild annoyance that can easily be rectified.
[*]If for whatever reason the game is SUPER dark even when the brightness is cranked to the max, simply disable "[b][i]Sync to Refresh" [/i][/b]and save settings.

For $12, it's practically a no-brainer, especially if you get it on sale for even less. Fun and simple yet satisfying combat with a bleak omnipresent atmosphere and an interesting story about the Knights Templar and the Occult. [b][u]HIGHLY RECOMMEDED[/u][/b]

Good old game. Takes a little tinkering to get working right, and the default keybinds are not great. For what it is, the game has good atmosphere, fitting music, basic but good combat, and the levels design pushes you forward so you never feel stuck for more than a minute. I hope the sequel becomes available on pc someday. I recommend this game if you don't mind pulling up pcgamingwiki to tweak a few things and maybe a mod or two.

На удивление добротно играется даже сейчас и не нужны танцы с запуском.
Тупо коридорный экшен, с "сюжетом", ходи руби, руби и руби. Ну и решай пару пазлов для ноль летних.
Из минусов:
- по первой может быть неудобно играть т.к мышки нет и все через клаву. Но камеру тут(кроме лука) крутить не надо и инфернальных анальных болей как в ваниле DS или RE4 вполне получится избежать
- блоки, блоки и еще раз блоки вражин, хотя если вы фанат Якудзы 3 и его боевки -для вас будет рай
-под конец может быть душновато из-за жирных вражин, залутав новые мечи станет полегче

I played Knights of Temple for the first time in 2004 and was immediately impressed. The camera work is a bit reminiscent of the old God of War games, but that's no longer a problem for me. After a bit of practice, you get the hang of the controls. Very nice depth story and the soundtrack is absolutely terrific <3. I somehow never warmed to the second part. This part remains my favorite!

You know, sometimes ratings and reviews of a game can be pretty deceptive. Not because the reviewer is lying, but because their point of view and their standards are wildly different from what yours. Maybe nostalgia is getting in the way. Maybe something that is very critical to you is not much of an issue for the other person. Or maybe they are more forgiving when playing a game than you are. Knights of the Temple: Infernal Crusade (KOTT for short) is one such game, with other reviews on its store page making you think it's a game that has perfectly stood the test of time.
It has not.

[h2]Rescue the damsel in distress, kill the bad guy, save the world[/h2]
In terms of story and its narration, there's not much here. You're a good christian boy, a bad guy is trying to destroy the world, the bad guy kidnaps your love interest, you go out to kill the bad guy and save everyone. There's no environmental storytelling, no fleshing out the characters and no pieces of lore hidden around the levels. The game just offers you your usual good against evil story with a Crusades theme, with the only attempts at storytelling limited to the animated cutscenes you will see every few stages. And the whole thing concludes with a plot twist ending that is pretty weak and dissatisfying, and honestly made me more mad with the game after I found out about it.
Now you might be wondering why I am malding about the story in this game. The first reason is that the game has insane amounts of lost potential in this department as it truly feels atmospheric at times. Some scenery in a few levels, combined with Gustaf Grefberg's music tracks, make for some captivating moments that could have been used to elevate the storytelling. But the game never capitalizes on this idea. Instead it constantly forces you inside hallways, streets and closed off areas, even fumbling the rare chances it gets.
And the second reason is that with a gameplay like THIS, they really should have had a better story presentation to make one actively want to continue playing it.

[h2]We have Onimusha at home[/h2]
Unfortunately, the gameplay in KOTT is a massive borefest and becomes repetitive very fast. All you do in a level is going from the starting point to the ending point, while constantly fighting the enemies that dare to stand in your way. This is not a problem on its own, but the thing is that neither the combat is actually fun nor the game offers you enough encouragement to go on. Allow me to explain.
The game simply throws you into way too many forced combat encounters per level with no breathing room in between. Sometimes you cannot go from one room to the other or even move a few steps forward without an enemy showing up to fight you. And sometimes, enemy spawn points are pretty questionable, with them magically appearing out of nowhere after a cutscene finishes playing or attacking you mere moments after a level starts. So you just fight and fight and fight... without having the game offering anything to break this repetitive flow.
As I have mentioned before, the story is pretty bland & uninteresting and the game refrains from using in-game cutscenes, only offering pre-rendered ones at certain points. There are no collectables or meaningful secrets in the game. There are only 6 puzzles present in the whole game. The game ties the majority of unlocks to weapon usage and how many enemies you kill, and gives you all of the weapons pretty early on, so there's almost nothing left to reveal by progression aside from the main story plot. Therefore, the combat is all that the game has to offer for a huge part of it, and it being so basic and bland doesn't help the situation we have here.

[h2]The action game genre at its most basic form[/h2]
The combat system in KOTT feels like what happens if you take a fantasy action game, then strip it from its features one by one until the bare minimum remains. Or if it's unfinished to begin with.
In KOTT you will get access to a total of 4 weapons, starting with a sword and then gradually acquiring an axe, a mace and a bow. But unfortunately, the first three weapons function exactly the same, with the only difference being small amounts of damage increase against specific enemy types. On the other hand, the bow is incredibly powerful, being capable of killing even the most annoying enemies in a few hits and one-shotting every enemy and boss (excluding the final boss) with a headshot, even if they are armored. Thankfully, it's handicapped by the number of arrows.
Then we get to the actual combat and I have to say, it's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bland. While KOTT somewhat leans into the hack & slash genre on lower difficulties, it requires a slower and more strategical approach to combat as a whole. You can get surrounded by as much as 3-4 enemies at once, with their rapid attacks making it hard to employ a hack & slash playstyle and not get overwhelmed. You need to study the enemies' attack patterns, attacking and defending at the right time to get past them.
But it won't offer you enough to enjoy the fighting. You will be doing the exact same combos as most of them are not suitable to use against enemies with such a combat system, and you will fight against the exact same enemy types for the entirety of the game. Moreover, most enemies have a habit of constantly blocking your attacks, forcing you to spam your guard break special move (which gives you a small timeframe to only land one or two hits) or returning the favor by also constantly blocking their attacks and waiting for an opening. And remember when I said the game constantly makes you fight with no breathing room? I think you can now understand the whole problem.

[h2]Good audio and visual presentation, BUT...[/h2]
I will admit that aside from the pre-rendered cutscenes, the game still looks really good for a game from 2004. The textures look clean and the game supports modern resolutions as well. The animations for the main characters and enemies, especially in combat, are also praiseworthy as they are very smooth due to the devs using motion capture. Although it does stumble a bit in the technical side as while the game runs without additional tinkering, it has broken refresh rate and brightness adjusters, among some other issues such as baffling lack of controller support.
As for the music, the game uses the same music system that was later used in The Darkness, with each level having a calm version and a combat version of the music to seamlessly switch between. It features some very well-composed tracks that are pleasant to listen to, even enhancing the experience at the very rare times the game isn't throwing you into a fight and the scenery looks interesting enough to back it up. But then there are sections in the game where absolutely no music is playing (like the second boss), and then we have tracks being reused over and over again as you go through a couple of levels back to back.

The game feels unfinished, feeling like what you get when you strip action games down to their very basic form. It's not bad, but is incredibly bland and boring to play compared to its peers.

C'est un peu mou comme jeu, ça date en même temps mais c'est pas une excuse.
Même à l'époque ça devait pas être fou fou...

Dans le genre templier j'ai préféré The First Templar.
J'avoue j'ai fais celui-ci parce-que j'ai le deux qui traîne sur mon étagère depuis un moment et qu j'aime bien faire les choses dans l'ordre.

Soyons clair je ne le recommande pas, mais le jeu ne m'a pas semblait désagréable à parcourir au point de lui mettre un non.

En gros prenait le pas cher et en connaissance du jeu.

Fazit:
Knights of the Temple: Infernal Crusade ist ein Action-Adventure. Wir steuern einen Kreuzritter, dessen Mission es ist eine junge Dame aus den Klauen eines bösen Bischofs zu befreien. So wirklich Interessant war die Story leider nicht. Das Spiel hatte meine Neugier eher wegen dem Gameplay geweckt. Leider war das nicht so prickelnd wie erhofft.
Zuerst muss man sich an die Steuerung gewöhnen und sobald das geschehen ist lernt man auch mit der Kameraeinstellung zu leben. Leider führt beides gepaart mit der gegnerischen KI aus der Hölle (Ja, der Wortwitz ist beabsichtigt) zu vielen Frustmomenten.
Die Idee mit den unterschiedlichsten Waffen bestimmte Arten von Gegnern zu bekämpfen ist gut, funktioniert aber leider manchmal nicht richtig und endet in stumpfes draufhauen (egal mit welcher Waffe).
Weiterhin ist mir ein Glitch beim Heilen aufgefallen. Danach nimmt der Charakter in bestimmten Fällen eine halb hockende, halb schwebende Position ein und fliegt durch die Gegend. In der Zeit kann man nicht angreifen oder blocken. Erst wenn man sich wieder heilt geht das wieder weg. Unendlich Heilung gibt es aber auch nicht.
Leider hat mich das Spiel nicht so sehr überzeugt. Nicht Empfehlenswert!!!!

Итак, игра довольно уныленькая, и по настоящему атмосферными (имхо) становятся последние локации в которых мы приближаемся к епископу;

Боёвочка простая, прикольная, но начинает надоедать к концу игры и неожиданно раскрывается на финальном боссе, ведь чтобы его пройти вам нужно показать всё чему вы научились по ходу игры, но скрытого босса вы вряд ли пройдёте... вылет на финальной битве;

Музычка есть, даже неплохая, графика приятная, сюжет, ну, как норма для ARPG 2000x - он просто есть;

Если бы не было финального босса - не рекомендовал бы, но с ним мне очень даже зашло, но будьте готовы к тому что это не "Легендарно сохранившаяся классика", а скорее пережиток прошлого который можно заценить если вы фанат медивала или простеньких слешеров.

This is a great find!
It might have the most satisfying combat since Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: tons of visceral animations, splatter, physics, combos, weapons, options. Every fight I got into felt fast, fluid, and brutal as I blocked flurries of blows and looking for openings for the ever-satisfying coup de gras.
Even your death is a dramatic flying rag doll in slow motion to a mournful choir!
Suggestion: reconfigure the keys. I needed to change arrow keys to WASD myself and switch out Normal and Heavy attacks for mouse clicks. Also Tab and Shift are used which unfortunately also activates Steam chat so switching out Tab or Shift also helps when performing combos and abilities.
The story is serviceable, made more interesting by the historical context although it's only a backdrop for a traditional tale of an ambitious villain and a righteous everyman hero. Music is appropriately haunting and atmospheric for what sometimes becomes a survival horror game, matching the classic but appreciated Resident Evil fixed camera set-ups for each room. Some might not like the fixed camera, but luckily this is NOT a tank control game, it just adjusts the camera to some cinematic views of each section so you're never not looking at what you need to. Without a free camera you can't always look where you might wish to, but the angles have been chosen to highlight where to go, what to pick up, who to fight.
Each section has generally light puzzles or items to collect to progress. There is no map but progress is linear and straight forward generally and there's plenty of landmarks. A good rule of thumb is if there's bad guys attacking you're on the right path!
I ran into one puzzle that was frustrating, but I solved it by interacting with everything I could (HINT: push the coffin lid onto the pressure plate).
When things get challenging you luckily have plenty of save points before bigger battles so it never feels frustrating. Skip cutscenes with Enter if you want to but they're not too long.
It still looks crisp, it sounds GREAT (every fight is a symphony of meaty hits, armor clangs and swirling blades) and I had zero technical problems.
One last thing: this has no connection to a similar game called The Last Templar (also a fun game) although I thought this was a sequel or a prequel given similar stories and mechanics.

大昔にPC日本語版がライブドアから発売されていました。
え！steamでも配信してたの！？と、つい先日知り、好きなゲームだったので購入しました。
Win10ですがクリアするまでCTD等はありませんでした。

・どんなゲーム
みんな大好き末弥純風バケツヘルメット騎士（最初はかぶっていない）を操作して敵とチャンバラしつつズンドコ進行していくアクションゲームです。
ステージは入り組んでますが一本道です。ちょっとしたギミックや隠しアイテムなんかもあり、単調にならないよう工夫されています。

・渋さを感じさせる
敵は多くても同時に3人。ジャンプもジャンプ攻撃もありません。ひたすらに地に足を付けて地道にチャンバラして進んでいきます。
ゲーム自体はかなり大味な作りです。ガード中は360度全周囲からの攻撃に対して完全にノーダメージになります。ボス級の敵に自キャラのガードを崩す敵もいますがかなりレアです。
昨今流行りのリアルナ剣術ガーとか物理演算デーとかジャストガードガー、とかは一切ありません。なんか適当にガードと攻撃ボタンぽちぽちしてるだけで渋さを感じさせるチャンバラが成立します。（まぁそれも中盤までですが）
コンボ技とかありますが、敵はダメージを受けてノックバックしてコンボの最終攻撃がスカったりすることが多々あるので重要度はそれほど感じられません。

・スタミナ消費技を活用する
スタミナ消費技に敵のガードを崩す攻撃と、全周囲ふっ飛ばし攻撃があります。他にもありますが、この2つは攻略には必須です。

・弓矢を活用する
矢のストックさえあれば離れた敵に一方的にダメージを与える事が可能です。一部ステージギミックにも弓矢を使ったりします。

・回復魔法を活用する
中盤から、敵を倒すとMP的なものが回復し、回復魔法（とその他いくつかの魔法）が使えます。特に後半ステージは回復薬がほんの少ししか出ないので、どのタイミングで回復魔法をかけるかが攻略のカギとなります。

・イスラムっぽい所に到着後のイスラムっぽい敵がいきなり強い
実は開始時のすぐ近くの貯水池に剣が隠されています。攻撃力が上がるので楽になります。

・しれっと置いてある宝箱
自己主張をまったくしないので背景の一部と勘違いして素通りしそうですが、取ると魔法が強化されます。

・クランク回すギミックのドア
正解でもドアに接触して少し立ってないと開かない模様。すぐ離れてはダメっぽい？

・カギが手に入らない（バグ）
一度だけ、敵が落とすカギが壁の少し奥側に落ちて取ることが出来ず、進行不能になりました。まぁレアケースだと思います。

・ゲームパッドについて
ロジのPS型パッドを今現在使ってますが、移動にアナログスティック（以下AS）を割り振る事が出来ませんでした。いや、正確にはASの倒した方向をデジタル的な方向入力として登録できるのですが、例えば右と下の同時押しで斜め45度右下移動、がASのデジタル方向入力としては同時入力として反映されないので無理でした。そこは仕方ないのでデジタル十字キーに割り振りました。
逆に言うと、同時入力を必要としないキーにはASの上下左右の入力を割り振る事が出来ました。私はロックターゲットの切り替え・クリアに割り振りました。
また、アナログRT＆LTの挙動がおかしかったのでそこには割り振るのをやめました。結果的に武器選択はキーボード、弓矢のエイム時はマウスを使う、という操作になりました。
（パッド設定についてはおま環かもしれないので参考までに）

・悪い点かもその1：カメラ
自キャラの真後ろでなく、場面場面でカメラが切り替わり自キャラをフォーカスするタイプ（カメラ用の操作である程度向きを動かせます）です。これは好意的に見ればチャンバラシーンをいろいろな角度で堪能できる、と受け取れなくもないですが、人によっては切り替わりがウザったいと思われるかもしれません。

・悪い点かもその2：プレイ時間
最低難易度ですが6時間くらいで終わりました。（過去にプレイ済という点を考慮）

・悪い点かもその3：キーボード操作
移動がカーソルキーで攻撃がQとW、防御がE、その他諸々がASDF、調べたりOKにあたるキーがRという、昨今では見ない操作配置です。
ちなみにゲーム起動時のメーカーロゴとかムービーを飛ばすのはEnterです。
あとこれは古いゲームなので仕方ないのですが、パッド操作に置き換えると、コンボや魔法の操作説明がパッド入力の番号数値に置き換わるので訳が分からなくなります。

・悪い点かもその4：慣れてくると単調
その日のプレイはもうやめて明日にしましょう。

以上、要点を書き連ねてみました。
あ～～末弥純風バケツヘルメット騎士でチャンバラしてぇよぉ、でもヌルゲーは嫌だよぉ、かといって難しすぎるのもやだよ～、長いRPG的なのもやだよ～～

LOST GEM and Still Alive

Hello everyone

This amazing game is made on 2004 at Starbreeze Studios so I saw a user criticizing the cut scenes and other aspect of the game... people need to realize the era was made from , first time I got this game was in a box with 3 CD-ROM, so of course the programmer need to save space and low the quality of the videos... for me still look unique and good, have their own stylish medieval theme and they have paintings as well as comics.

The story is fine the lord bishop open the doors of hell to slave humanity and he kidnap the princess to start the final Ritual and Paul as crusader need to save her before that happens.

The Games have an outstanding music soundtrack made by ( Within temptation) Band I play so many times listen to it and fighting

The graphics still good ! even then I play on 4k TV with high resolution and looks Great.

The gamplay is simple you need to learn how to fight with the sword and block.

Special powers you really need to learn how to heal yourself and made a magical shield when you are almost reaching the end that will save you and you will beat the final boss... without it You are Doom

I play it before with keyboard first time when arrive back them 2004, but is more easier and relaxing with joystick .

Anyway the game have many language to choose from ! I play to of them and still great voice acting

by the way the game is not only fighting sword they add some puzzle that you have to solve is not so hard but enjoyable as well

If you like medieval games and Great music and interesting game play this is one is right for you

for me is like drinking a delicious coffee and seat and relax '

give it a try ! and enjoy

[h1] 7/10, great small-scale, hack-and-slash adventure. [/h1]

A low-key Prince Of Persia (Sands of Time) feel, without the time element, but fun mix of action and magic that has a movie-like flow to it. Only issues are: 1. controls - you'll have to find a good fit for yourself - and 2. bare-bones feel of story and design. But like Greedfall was to Dragon Age it has the core elements and all the colour brown you could shake a scimitar at, to keep yourself tided over until the next AAA scratch for that adventurous hack-and-slash itch. (Currently about halfway in, so take what I say with a half grain of salt.)

Second half - Finished (sort of) and the game essentially remained as was, good difficulty rise met by upgrades, only things to add are: 1. The upgrades really bunched together near the end, used a new mace once before getting a new one, and all powers went from 2 to 4 (highest rank) over 3-4 levels (out of 29). Other issue was the final boss was a huge difficulty spike, which I've hated in other games like Metroid Prime, but it's not necessarily bad (gave MP 10/10). What did suck is the game crashed right before the final blow after trying 10+ times... So I just watched the ending on youtube. Not gonna fault the game but a warning that the ending might be a disappointment. Overall still 7/10.

Honestly, this game kinda holds up to this day, but it has the 2004 level of jank you might expect:
- blocky assets with flat textures
- janky control scheme, but you get used to it pretty fast
- janky AI - an enemy can stand behind a barrier that can clearly be circled around, but it just stays there and swings his sword around
- janky combat lock - once you lock to an enemy you find yourself far from it, and the character does not rush towards it

Some bugs i encountered on win10/ryzen/10 series Nvidia:
- during the 1st loading screen everything gets corrupted and you have to alt tab
- weird brightness where even if it's at max, it still dark (i just turn my monitors brightness up, but i like playing games with the brightness all the way up)

Despite the jank, despite the lack of "modern" grafics it's still a good old fun game. I started it around 2008 ish, before i even had internet just because the dude i got the pc from left it installed.

The only bad-bad part is the lack of controller support.It would have been amazing, but it doesn't have one. I found some tutorials on jerryrigging it, but i couildn't be arsed to actually do it all the way. It was released on consoles, but it i guess Starbreeze didn't bother.

11/10 would buy again

A fine hack and slash for the time, but left me wanting more. Recommend getting it on sale.

Combat is very basic, but still enjoyable, you have to wait for openings in enemy attacks and strategically use what few combos and abilities you're given to take them out. Even if it can make it a bit easy, I do like that blocking stops all basic attacks regardless of direction, preventing you from getting back stabbed when surrounded or needing to be too precise in the way you are facing with fixed cameras.

There are several weapon types, and you can pick up new ones along the way, but none of them feel significantly stronger or have mechanical differences. This is the weakest part of the game for me, each weapon type has differences in range and damage but it's not significant enough to be meaningful or really noticeable.

Love the aesthetic, good quality in cutscenes, animations, and voice acting. It does have full controller support, you just need to manually map the buttons. Just wish there was a little more there, more depth to mechanics, story, and items.

There is a game breaking bug on the final boss, the only issue I found in the game, but you can get past it by validating files though it may take several attempts.

It's a game of its time... One of the greatest hack n' slash games ever!
Very tactical; Positioning, resource and skill usage, and weapon reach are key! You've got 3 classes of melee weapons with different uses plus FPS bow and arrow.
It's PS2 old, but aged really, really well!
The story is sorta religious-cliché, but the sceneries are very interesting, and the whole concept of diving down to hell (in the last 25% of the game) to hunt demons and the big bad is always awesome!
IMO a better game than most arcadey AAA PS2 hack n'slash'es of the time, and better than most HnS games of today.

Ele é uma mistura de Onimusha com Resident Evil (Por causa das câmeras mesmo) e é muito legal de jogar, a parte ruim são as câmeras que acho pouco mal posicionadas, mas o game é interessante, gostoso de jogar e simples, e pela estética ele lembra Dark Souls, quem tem um pc fraco por exemplo e quer algo parecido com Dark Souls é uma boa pedida.

As a fan of sword fighting, I have no idea how I missed this game so far. Combat is great and has some unexpected depth especially for 2004. This is of course no Dark Souls but this is imho alot more than pure hack n slash. The beginning of the game tricks you into thinking the opposite despite the brilliant and fluid combat animations, as you mow down through enemies fairly easily with minimum use of blocking and breaking guards, but the second part of the game definitely amps up the technical difficulty and you progressively need to play a lot more strategically.

The game never gets hardcore though, as you are given fairly generous tools to keep your HP up, and save for a few puzzles here and there the gameplay inovations stop here. Comparisons have been made before to the aforementioned Dark Souls, and it's true you can't help shaking a feeling of "what if ..." as you play the game, at least I and others did.

It's a shame too the game is fairly obscure due in fact to a lack of US release back in the days. I'm sure modders could turn it into something awesome with tweakings here and there. The base is truly great.
No technical issues on my end so far. Game runs great at 1080p. No crashes. It's also really pretty for it's age, and again the animations are awesome.

Story isn't amazing but does the job. As a medieval enthusiast I enjoy it. Nice to see Crusaders portrayed in a positive light in gaming for a change.

I customized a controller config for myself similar to Dark Souls controls (triggers for light/heavy attacks + blocking etc ...). You can find it in Steam's community gamepad configs if you want to give it a try. Works quite well.

A true jewel! The movements are so realistic even for 2022, however, the game was made in early 2000s.

A good game if you like old style hack and slash-ers. A lotta combat here, a little puzzle there. My only complaint would be the finale that hikes the difficulty way up from the level just prior. Aside from that the game is what you'd expect.

Not sure if the game has official controller support, as I didn't try keybinding my gamepad. But Steam's controller remapping works quite well here.

Short review: the game has aged not well at all, the gameplay is boring and the level design is plain, straightforward and witthout depth or immersion.

Pros:
-nice animations
-good graphic
-setting is good

Cons:
-fighting lacks in depth and in short time gets repetitive
-all the weapons has the same combos (just change damage/range)
-story is bland
-the audio effects are all the same and cheap
-the music is for 90% of the game always the same
-the main story is finished in 6 hours
-poor replay value
-the volume of the cutscenes is extremely low and there are no subtitles
-all the enemies belong to 5 enemy types, just reskinned
-puzzles are unnecessary and boring

From the studio thar brought Enclave (which is way better) this is kind of a downfall.

Игра классная...Но все хорошие впечатления о проекте перечеркнула последняя битва с боссом, на которой игра люто крашилась во время использования отхила....я переиграл её раз 15....

А вообще - простой, незамысловатый проект, где вы просто рубите врагов, ваш персонаж обрастает бронёй от уровня к уровню и вы находите новые виды оружия,новые способности и приёмы, на этом реально всё, сюжет, как бы есть,но его нет(игру вообще дико порезали перед выходом и удалили наверное 60% заставок и сюжета).
Если упарывайтесь по средневековью, играм про крестоносцев или холодному оружие,то можно брать смело, даже для своего возраста она годная (да и все анимации записывали при помощи захвата движений).

its combo and blocking gameplay resembles a fighting game. pretty fun to time your attacks. bows can only be shot while standing still so that helps balance shooting with melee pretty well. story is reasonable, nothing earth shattering but does reward you for playing. you only need a walkthrough for the puzzles (they are illogical and quite bad, should have been removed). level design is not as inspired as enclave and you might need to tune your monitor for it to be playable (otherwise too dark). all in all its one of the better hack and slash action games ive played.

great hack & slash experience... the combat is fluid and brutal, I still cannot believe this is a game from 2004... the combat is really intense, and the enemies will give you no quarter... for a Templar fan, this is a must... levels are varied but enemies are a little bit repetitive, however you have also divine powers and special skills to make your way through the hordes of darkness... playing with a gamepad is amazing... this is a cool game, do not miss it if you are a Templar fan!

Certes, le jeu est ancien et on combat beaucoup la caméra, mais quel bonheur de pouvoir rejouer a ce jeu !
La manette est prise en compte, par contre il faut assigner les touches dans le jeu et se balader dans les menus au claviers (à l'ancienne).

Merci d'avoir laissé ce jeu, un pur bonheur de pouvoir le refaire ! Histoire simple et efficace, un jeu pas parfait clairement !
Mais un pur kiff pour les retrogamers comme moi !

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, je le recommande aussi si vous voulez incarner un templier et combattre le mal (de 2004).

Если вы готовы смириться с крайне неудобным управлением, если вам нравится подобный сеттинг, но однозначно - Тамплиеры: крестовый поход, все еще может подарить вам часы увлекательного времяпрепровождения. Хотя прям по долгу за раз в неё тяжеловато играть, так как постоянно выскакивающие на вас волны врагов в какой-то момент тупо начнут раздражать.

A very enjoyable eurojank game, made by Starbreeze, the same devs behind games like Enclave and Riddick series. You play as Paul, a member of the knights templar, who finds himself on the middle of a chaotic situation, and to stop this he must defeat a Bishop who's using a girl supernatural powers to cause evil on the world. Gameplay is pretty basic, with special moves and the like, camera is fixed which can be annoying in a few occasions, but nothing that will cause much trouble. Anyway, game is well worth a playthorugh.
