The game is unplayable on vr, when i am joining a game it just lags me out. And its not my pc but the game
IronWolf VR was a feat and pinnacle submarine gameplay optimized for VR. The sad reality is the game has been released without the full vision of the game developers... noting that one of the developers has passed away, and the other cannot carry the burden alone I think the price for the amount of game is decent.
Supporting the family of the developers that put so much time and energy into this game is well worthwhile.

despite its unfinished and unfortunately abandoned state this game still manages to be everything you'd want from a VR uboat simulator, shaping to be an extremely fun and tense experience. Multiplayer managed to work perfectly -- without issue.
If you want exactly a Uboat simulator in VR and not much else this game is worth.
last thing i heard before sinking was (OHH MY GOD its a hedgehog destroyer descend descend and then all i heard was a loud ring about 10 times and every thing went black) would recommend death is very funny

Порой я обожаю симуляторы. Прошел обучение и запустил игру в открытом мире, что было дальше?
1. Решил просто так выстрелить торпедой. Было весело, так как я в подводной лодке, то я даже не видел что она вылетела, просто слышал звук - порадовался
2. На капитанском мостике игрался с тревогой. Включал ее и выключал рандомно - представлял, что реально идет бой.
3. Из-за того, что игрался с тревогой и жал на различные кнопки - сел аккумулятор и свет погас. Стало не весело
4. В кромешной тьме с фонариком ходил по лодке, заходил в отсеки, которых не было в обучении.
5. Нашел двигатель, минут 10 пытался завести - не заводится.
6. Кое-как завел, даже не помню как (в ебучем обучении про это не было)
7. Подождал пару минут пока зарядится аккумулятор, потом не мог понять как подать питание (тоже не было в обучении)
8. Нашел как подать электричество, подал во все отсеки. Сеть перегрузилась, сгорел предохранитель, заменил его - вырубился двигатель!
9. Перезапустил двигатель, просто везде подал только освещение.
10. Пошел играться с тревогой.
Итого: никуда не сплавал, сам создал себе проблемы, сам решил, пока наигрался, но мне было весело

So your in a 1914 sub and the battle ships are from 2070 the game is in no way realistic , the mission are short and basic or impossible and removed from the game, there is only 6 missions to play. Its fun for a very short while, buy it on sale

Much like Rogue System, this is (was?) an in-development game that has stalled due to real-life tragedy. An understandable reason to back out of a project.
Unfortunately, this is still a paid product, and there is simply no good reason to pay $20 for something that isn't finished.
Make no mistake. The game is not complete, and considering it hasn't been updated in 16 months at the time of writing, I wouldn't expect it to be any time soon, if at all. I personally feel that marking the game as "released" was a misleading decision at best, but it is what is.
If you're willing to spend $20 on a project that will likely never be fully realized, then by all means do so. That said, there is a free non-VR version that you should look at to get an idea of what state the game is actually in before committing.

Should be worked on hands. The game is awesome, but hand and its interaction with environment is bad. Take an example from VTOL for tumblers, buttons, levers etc. Make a feel of "heaviness" for some objects like turret, valves and steering. Btw why steering cant be taken by two hands, its big enough to. As for me, I dont like how it twitches. Maybe seamless path across parts of submarine would be nice too.

I've had the game for a while and only barely touched it when I had an older PC that didn't run it very well. Uprgaded and decided I should come back to it. I picked it up for a buddy - we're both IRL bubbleheads that were on a boat together. Strongly recommended, very cool with friends. Get on the discord to help find people to play with! It's a blast!
Sound the dive alarm, Fill ballast tanks with water fully, Say out-loud 10 degree down angle full ahead as you move the lever positions. Continue your dive down past safe depth into crush depth, listening to the ship creak, then watch pipes explode and the water level rise around you. Your battery dies and the lights go off so your using a torch in the last minute. Horrible.

The game in its current state is alright, but it's not a finished game with features being missing or incomplete despite the released tag.
Though it is completely understandable on why the Dev has seemingly abandoned this game as 1 of the 2 Dev's passed away, but despite telling everyone he would keep updating the game, over 2 years have went by since anything has happened and the game is listed for $20 as released. the desktop mode is free atleast, but people looking into the game will still be driven to think it is done and may buy the VR version, but if that what you wanna do, go ahead, just don't expect a finished product.

I took my friend with a fear of deep sea into the submarine. Flooded the torpedo bay. He almost threw up. Good times all around.

Very difficult for me to play; tough time with navigating through the sub......proably better in VR but as a disabled Veteran do not have.

Top tier game! Incredibly fun with good friends! The missions are great but the open world is even better because you can buy things for your boat! I hope the game sees more content drops and I hope something of this caliber and brilliance comes out for things like tanks or ships
I wouldn't pay more then $10 for this game.
Here were my issues:
Concept seemed cool interface was nice, but graphics for a 2022 game felt more like something from a 2013 game. I tried to max it out but the settings option was really poor. Some of the movements around weren't clean. I think the trailer makes the game look way better then it actually plays, I'd like the game from the trailer. If I missed something to make it better I would like to be corrected.

Game this game is a great game. It's the best. Honestly, it's super historical. I love it a lot and it's intense. It gives you a feel on what submarines are like back then so we are. I don't know if you are is a really good game. II totally recommend it doesn't deserve the die.

Les graphismes sont très beaux et les affrontements demandent un peu de tactique.
En gros, en mode "open world" cela se déroule en plusieurs étapes :
1- Se balader sur une carte à la recherche d'ennemies.
(mieux vaux les prendre par surprise, plutôt que de les attaquer en frontale)
2- Piloter le sous-marin pour approcher l'ennemie et lui tirer dessus.
3- Plonger dans les profondeurs pour éviter les attaques des ennemies restants.
4- A la fin du combat, revenir aux docs avec la carte du début, pour ravitailler et réparer.
(en essayant d'éviter de se faire attaquer)
Ensuite chaque ennemies abattus rapporte des crédits qui permettent d'améliorer le sous-marin,
pour repartir au combat avec un sous-marin plus performant.
Pour ce qui est de la simulation des moteurs, de la gestion de l'électricité, du chargement des torpilles, du périscope, du canon, des mitrailleuses, du soudage des trous dans la coque, tout est plutôt bien fait et plaisant à manipuler.
On a aussi sur soit un boitier de commande permettant de piloter le sous-marin (qui fait aussi sonar),
une lampe torche toujours utile quand on doit économiser l'électricité, une boussole et une longue vue (car c'est toujours sympa de regarder les bateaux au loin pendant le soleil couchant).
On peut choisir de mettre des assistances pour la gestion des moteurs, le rechargement des torpilles, le pompage de l'eau... ou pas.
(en solo, c'est un gros défis de gérer les moteurs, l'électricité, le soudage, la navigation et le tire, tout en même temps. lol)
Comparé à "Uboat : The silent wolf VR", bien que sortie des années avant,
"Iron Wolf VR" est meilleurs en tous points.

La seule grosse différence, c'est que "Iron Wolf VR" est en "roomscale", c'est à dire qu'on se déplace de sale en sale sans utiliser les joysticks, contrairement à "Uboat : The silent wolf VR" où on peut se balader dans et sur le sous-marin, et où on peut voir la salle des machines (à l'arrière du sous-marin) et la salle des torpilles (à l'avant) lorsqu'on est dans la salle des commandes (au milieu) avec toutes les écoutilles ouvertes.
Cela rend les déplacements plus rapide pour "Iron Wolf VR" mais ça enlève un peu à l'immersion car on passe par un rapide "fondu au noir" entre chaque salle. (la même chose que lorsqu'on prend une échelle dans "Uboat : The silent wolf VR")
Aussi dans "Uboat : The silent wolf VR" on peut customiser son avatar,
dans "Iron Wolf VR" c'est plutôt les caractéristiques de son sous-marin qu'on améliore.

The game is fun and seems nice, but it needs a seated mode. And you need friends i guess to play with, in SP mode, it's not the same thing.

Очень крутая игра. Иммерсивность на очень высоком уровне! Несколько разных постов, где можно все потрогать и покрутить и самое главное, это все не просто так. Ручное управление баластными цисцернами, рулями глубины и направлением. Есть перископ, причем весьма удобный. Расчет стрельбы упрощен, но в этой игре это не важно. Есть сонар. Очень круто сделана перезарядка торпед. Инженерный отсек - управление дизелями и электрекой. Ходить как бы на дизеле нельзя, нужно либо под водой поднимать шноркель и давать заряд на электромотор, либо над водой так же обеспечивать заряд электромотору. Только на карте мы ходим на дизелях.
Несколько очень полезных советов
1. Когда ходите в ускорении времени на карте, чтоб противник вас не застал в надводном положении, просто щелкните по кружку своей лодки, вы остановитесь и погрузитесь, враг перестает вас видеть и даже если в пор приблизится, то это будет не так страшно, как если вас застанут в надводном положении
2. Заметность подлодки максимальная в надводном положении (желтое колечко в командной рубке на тактическом экране). Когда вы погружен и шноркель поднят, то заметность 500 метров (красный кружок на карте). Если вы на перископной глубине и электромоторы активны, то в зависимости от их оборотов, меняется уровень шума. Так же заметно на тактическом экране (если что, тактическим экраном я называю экран который выше руля направления). Если вы погрузитесь хотя бы на 75 метров, то даже на полном ходу вражеские корабли вас не слышат, только активный сонар. Старайтесь не попадаться боком к активному сонару врага, так он лучше всего вас видит на любой глубине.
3. Расчет точности стрельбы торпед точнее всего, когда ваша лодка направлена носом строго на врага. Так же обратите внимание, что можно выставлять глубину торпеды, чтоб бить как можно ближе к дну корабля. Для линкоров это важно. Если крутить ручку глубины, то на компьютере будете видеть куда попадет торпеда.
4. Всегда держите оба переключателя питания рулей глубины и направления. Это очень значительно увеличивает маневренность вашей лодки.
Главный минус в игре у для меня это огромная аркадность боевых кораблей врага. Эсминцы невероятно быстрые и даже линкор может буквально на месте за секунды повернуться. Хотелось бы более приближенной охоты в кошки-мышки как в silent hunter или UBOAT. Но тем не мене игру однозначно советую попробовать тем, кому нравятся лодки времен второй мировой.

Absolutely horrible, the fact that this game is advertised as VR is disgusting. The only time I have ever tried to play Ironwolf, the game crashed as soon as I tried to join a game. (I was using an Oculus Quest 2)

I only recommend this game if you are REALLY,REALLY SMART its hard to figure out how to work the ship... I was very stumped. Not much tutorial and its really GliTChY. Would not recommend unless you have a big brain.

So far I am very much enjoying this game. There are a few things I wish were a bit different: The first is already going to be changing with the next update, but the open world needs to be seamless so that I can dive, making a much more immersive experience. Speaking of diving, the way the current dive system works makes the dive planes a useless feature as the ballast directly controls your depth. In real life the ballast tanks were filled to the maximum and that made the sub neutrally buoyant, then all depth changes were done using the two sets of dive planes. I personally think one control for the dive planes is fine, however, the ballast tank mechanics need to be changed to the neutral buoyancy design in my opinion as this will justify all the current controls. Lastly, I would like to see a dive tank added. This is a third, smaller, ballast tank whose sole purpose is to allow crash diving really fast. This tank must be blown before getting too deep, however, or you will keep sinking.
I think that making these mechanics with the current control system would be do-able, add more justification to the current controls, and make more sense overall. Otherwise, this game is a pretty great title so far for how early in development it is and I am excited to see where it goes.
Overall, the game is pretty good. The engine is stable, gameplay is fun, and the atmosphere is amazing. I do however, have a few things to suggest.
- Ability to hotswap batteries (aka new ones fully charged) when you have run out of battery power and need to be able to get up the surface
- Markings on the Electric RPM gauge for EOT call-outs (dead slow, slow, half, etc)
- Leaks in other rooms than just the navigation room
- Faster transitions from room to room, maybe even making them all inter-connected where there is no transition screens (referencing to Wolfpack)
I like how detailed everything in the game is, the engine room especially. Having to manually switch switches and levers, its great! Also yeah, torpedos...*Boom* 11/10 Would drown with my entire crew again!
