Its sad that the devs gave up on this game, but I've gotten a ton of fun hours out of it. Do I wish they would keep updating it? Sure. Am I going to downvote a game because they won't? No. Its fun.
Great gameplay and great coop system.
Too bad the questing is so bad in general. Quests are tedious, vague and have a terrible UI. And when playing coop, its actually tedious to stay in sync as some quests require you playing a specific character or getting a specific item.
It's also quite possible you never play as one of the class cuz it takes forever to unlock via.. quests..
In my opinion, the lore/conversations just has no appeal. And there is so much of it. Really wish that time had been spent on polishing that questing stuff...
Still a really good game worth playing for the coop.

Boring roguelike
This is a fun turn-based tactical game with a roguelite framework. It's really fun to start, although my impression is that higher difficulties are frustratingly restrictive. Granted, this is how Slay the Spire was to an extent, but I don't think that game is nearly as restrictive in its higher difficulties. In STS, most of my losses feel like skill issues, whereas in Inkbound, most of my losses feel like instances where I just got bad luck.
Certainly, there are instances where I could've chosen a better vestige or binding, but most of the time if I lose, it's because the run starts me off in a battle where I need to take 10 unavoidable damage (25% of my HP) and then offers me no damage mitigation or healing. Or, it's because the run gives me several vestige choices in a row that have no synergy with each other whatsoever. Or, it's because the area boss spawns 5 enemies despite the tooltip saying he'll spawn 2. Because of how punishing the game is and how high enemies scale on Rank 20, most of the time, I feel like I'm playing a game of "I need to get lucky and choose very specific options if I want a chance of winning." Again, I don't remember Slay the Spire ever feeling like this. But maybe I'm misremembering things.
At this point, I can win probably 20% of my Rank 20 runs. Maybe I could improve that statistic, but I'm just not having much fun in trying to do so. So what else is there to do in the game? Well, there's a quest system with abysmal UX, and you're better off doing those tasks on lower difficulties anyway. There's a Co-Op mode, but nobody's online to play it. I might put this game down for awhile.
It was a decent amount of fun, but I've now hit a wall where I don't really want to play much more. That said, it's obviously not a bad game; I think it's a good recommendation and competent game, although it doesn't feature the same depth as Slay the Spire, the game from which it clearly draws the most inspiration.
This came *really close* to making me give it an unrecommend, because of one thing, which I'll come to at the end.
First, the game in general is pretty good. The graphics are nice, there's solid voice acting throughout, the story holds up, the music is good, the turn based combat mechanics works, most of the powerups also can work with the right synergies.
The ramping difficulty as you go up the difficulty levels is also pretty reasonable, and would be a great way for the game to remain playable and fun.
And now we get to what's wrong - instead of the ramping difficulty being the path that leads to the story progressing, it's instead completely irrelevant. You can progress the story much faster by staying on the easiest difficulty level so you can go through runs more quickly. And you'll want to go through runs quickly because the way the story progresses is by single action quests like "talk to this guy in the middle of a run" followed by "talk to this guy between runs" followed by "talk to this guy at the end of a run", so you have to do three entire runs to do one story advancing event.
This story unlocking by drips makes it take (so far) 47 hours to get to what I *think* is nearly the end, but I also thought it was nearly the end after 27 hours. To get the story you have to play the game until you're utterly sick of it and no longer enjoy it at all.
So I would recommend this game, but I would strongly recommend *not* trying to finish the story because that makes it become an unfun time-sink.
(Also for some reason none of the achievements are working for me, I have zero unlocked achievements despite having completed many tens of runs.)

Underrated gem with cute art and lore. I love the gameplay mechanics, there's a lot of build variety and complexity here to explore without becoming overwhelming. You can increase the difficulty at your own pace, or just play for the fun of it in casual mode.
Unfortunately, the game feels a bit unfinished, which aligns with the development history behind this game. I was not much bothered by this, I just wish the game had gotten more attention and the studio hadn't been forced to abandon working on this a bit more.

I primarily bought it to support the devs. It's a fun game, but I recently tried it again and it felt as though the difficulty was very much a lot higher.
When I first played I basically did 5 runs, all around an hour, and I don't remember dying. If I did, I didn't feel like it was because I got unlucky, because that's the kind of deaths I remember vividly in other roguelites.
Do with that information what you will. I am very happy they changed it away from a live-service multiplayer game.
All in all, game-wise it was very fun curb-stomping enemies when you got a tiny bit of luck. I dunno if that is still a possible thing, but I will recommend it nonetheless if you enjoy unique roguelites.

Not my kind of game at all, but is still some solid fun with friends. Otherwise though not the kind of game id play on my own. Definitely needs a bit of communication with friends to get the most out of it between who is playing which class and trading items depending on how each person is building.

率直な感想は、全体的に説明不足で取っつきにくい作品でした。
本作はビルドの種類や属性、バフ・デバフなどの要素が非常に豊富です。
一見するとビルドの幅が広く、やり込み甲斐がありそうに見えます。
しかし実際にプレイしてみると、それらの要素に十分な整理・説明がなく、ゲーム独自の専門用語も多いため理解に時間がかかります。
ゲーム画面も蛍光色の強いビジュアルも相まって、戦況が直感的に把握しづらく、結果として戦闘が大味に感じられました。
戦闘はフリーラン方式で位置取りが重要そうに見えますが、実際にはビルドの方向性が重要。
手数を増やすバフやスタック系デバフを軸に強化していけば、無双できます。
見た目ほど繊細な戦術性は必要なく、報酬の引きが良く、早々にビルド構築が固まれば何も考えずに強スキルブッパで勝てました。
この大味さは、マルチプレイならワイワイ楽しめる方向性なのかもしれませんし、実際、協力プレイ前提でバランス調整されている可能性は感じました。
（その割には、演出が全体的に淡泊で派手さもないし、爽快感もないんだよなぁ…）
ただし、他レビューではマルチのサーバー不具合が長期間放置されてると多数報告されているので現時点ではマルチ前提の購入はリスクが伴います。
ソロのみプレイした結論は、視認性が悪く、まとまりのないシステムや複雑で取っつきにくいわりに深みを感じさせない戦闘システムが面白くなかったので、おすすめしません。

This game was so wonderful in its direction and tone, I really wish it had enough support to keep it as a living game. Still amazing and a ton of fun content for you and friends!
Pros:
Easy to learn, but with room to nerd out as you get better, relaxing, and can be played with friends pretty easily without needing a PhD in cooldown management.
Mechanics make each character feel different enough to be worth playing.
Large enough variety of fun and broken builds to keep it interesting for 80+ hours.
Colorful, cutesy art style, like Splatoon mixed with League of Legends and World of Warcraft. The animations and sound design are fun and satisfying.
Cons:
Repetitive back-and-forth fetch quests, "fight-the-boss-again-10-times" quests, and "get-the-right-combination-of-random-conditions" quests for more than half of the game.
Some balance issues that make certain characters feel flat and unimpactful if you're not lucky enough to roll specific pieces of gear/augments. (Looking at you, Binder-without-Pulling-Constrict).
Higher difficulties just add stats to the same monsters, or take away your resources, rather than presenting new enemies or more creative challenges.
This game is kind of a sleeper hit. It’s ridiculously fun and way more addicting than I expected. The co-op is especially satisfying, and beating tougher bosses or encounters feels genuinely rewarding.
Unlocking the other classes can be a bit tedious, which is my only real complaint. But once the mechanics start to click and you really understand how to play, the whole experience opens up. When it clicks, this game is amazing.

I dearly wish there were more classes to fill the gaps that are in the class selection screen, and if it were at all possible allowing mod support to give the community the opportunity to create more content would be an absolute dream. 一見ヴェステージやらバインディングやら聞きなれない言葉がならぶが、正直プレイしていったほうが理解しやすいと思う。
４割ソロ、６割マルチで全実績まで遊ばせてもらった。そのうえで感じたことをいくつか。

ちなみに別にマルチでないと楽しめないわけではなく、ソロでも楽しめる。

アイテムを拾って組み合わせてビルドしていくような、よくある要素がメインではあるが装備アイテムには各々セット効果が付属されていてセットのポイントが一定数に届いたときセットの効果が発動、強化されるような仕組みになっている。
ユニークなのはこの装備からセット効果のポイントのみを抽出することができる装置があること。
装置を使うと装備自体は消えてなくなるため装備の効果は消え、ポイント以外は残らない。
有用なセット効果のポイントを積み重ねていくために装備を抽出装置へ持っていくか、装備そのものの効果を重視するか、そういった選択が悩ましく楽しい。
[u][b]・やけに充実なメインクエスト[/b][/u]
クラス開放のためにもプレイが必須となっているメインクエスト。
一応マルチでも進行できるがフラグ関係がプレイヤー個別管理なので同時進行不向き。
しかも結構多め＆長めで、最後まで終わらそうとすると結構かかる作り。
そのぶんストーリーもしっかり作られている・・・と思うんだけどマルチメインの遊び方をしていたため正直内容をあまり見ていないし覚えてもいない（笑）
この辺は好みがわかれるような気がする。個人的にはクエスト内容もあまり面白いと思える内容ではなかった。
クラス開放は別要素でもよかったと思う。

割と最近のローグライクは１プレイに時間かかる物も多いけど、このゲームもかかる。
慣れていれば１週２０～３０分くらいで可能だけど、マルチは倍以上かかると思っていい。
しかしありがたいことにソロであれば中断して途中から再開可能。
マルチは中断、復帰はできるけど進行保存されるかどうかは試していないのでわからず。
[u][b]・バランスについて[/b][/u]
プレイしていると明らか強弱がはっきりしている部分はあるものの、バランスは悪くない。
多くのローグライクは後半の難易度でプレイヤーに負荷をかけすぎて選択肢が減っていくことが多いが、このゲームはその辺が易しいように感じる。
一部のボスやランダムな部分で凶悪な敵とかペナルティを引くと極端に難しくなることはあるが・・・
もちろんベストと思える選択、マルチでの行動などあるにはあるがクリアするために必須とまではいかない。
プレイヤーの選択が最後までそれほど窮屈に感じない作りになっていたように思う。

こういったジャンルのゲームはプレイを繰り返すことでキャラクターがやや有利な状態で進められるタイプのゲームも多いが、このゲームは死んで引き継げるのはほぼ知識のみ。
一応クエストの進行だとか新たなアイテム、新しいクラスのアンロックだとかはあるけれどそれ以外に次のプレイに引き継がれる要素はない。
何かしらの成長要素が欲しい人には微妙かもしれないが、非常にローグライクらしい。

明確にこのゲームの悪い部分。独自な名称が多いというのもひとつとしてあるが・・・
アイテム効果だとか敵のもつ能力だとか確認しづらくわかりにくい。
状態異常やバフ効果も多種あるものの慣れてくるまでどんな効果かわからなかった。
何が何に影響しているかもわかり辛く、なんなら今でもよくわかってないのもある（笑）

まず大事なこととして、全実績取得には残念ながらマルチプレイが必須。
全実績狙いの人は一緒に遊べる友人を用意してからゲームを遊びましょう。
野良と遊べることもできると思うが、プレイ人口を見た感じでは絶望的・・・
全実績狙いはマルチ要素も含むゲームの要素をほぼ全てを遊びつくす必要あり。
時間もかかる＆難易度もそこそこあるので覚悟して挑むべし。

私は友人とマルチで遊ぶ用に購入して１年間くらい少しづつ遊んでいた。
マルチで遊びきったあとは、ちまちまソロで実績回収していたけれど本当に長く遊べたゲーム。
開発終了までにいろいろあったようだけど別に未完成だと感じるような出来のゲームではない。
ローグライク好き、ゆっくり試行錯誤して遊びたい。そういった人におすすめしたい。

Turn based tactics with interesting and original dynamics.
Fast rouguelike runs without exploration: you choose the path according to the prize and go to next location, until you reach the boss.
Many classes to choose from, hero, artifacts and skill customization, all you can desire for a fast paced game to be replayable and not boring. Nice graphic (too colorful to me, but nice) and some cosmetic choices completes the pros
Cons are a UI that is at time confusing, the repetitive nature of the game and the dependance on luck, not in combat, but in reward gathering, that heavily affects the game, adding replayability but also frustration.
I played this both solo and co-op, I find the solo experience to be slightly more engaging. I bought this because I have a lot of faith in Shiny Shoe as a team and I was curious about their take on a multiplayer turn-based game, especially when I learned about the simultaneous turns.
What I found was a gem to play, obviously crafted with love and thoughtfulness. My 4-person multiplayer crew enjoyed a few sessions, though we found the specialization allowed in multiplayer often meant the game was about trying to find a universally unbeatable win plan, and then repeating that for every battle. The single player experience is great and I found the game to be very enjoyable.
Really well-designed gameplay. I like the positioning, the abilities you upgrade in different ways to fit a good synergy build.
The art is missing that extra polish even if enemy designs are pretty fun thematically. (similar in Monster Train imo).
It can be a little overwhelming with the set bonuses and to decide which to choose/change (and the UI isn't helping enough, especially when playing on controller), but it is smart that getting rid of items (think joker cards in Balatro) gives you bonuses instead of just being a waste.
Also, often when playing multiplayer, one in the party gets a lot more overpowered than the others which can feel bad.
But overall really unique and fun game that deserves more recognition. Hope somebody else makes a take on this type of gameplay and perfects it in the future!
Really sharp aesthetic, the lore is fun and innovative. Essentially planar adventures in a realm of ink and stories. Gameplay is SUPER fun. Turn-based, mana dependant abilities with items and upgrades granting more mana and alternating cooldowns with other buffs make it a real unique, very fun looping.
First of all I want to lead with the fact that Inkbound is a roguelite in a weird spot. The closest comparison I can honestly make is the two Hades games, because Inkbound has a surprising amount of story in addition to its turn based position based combat. The story is delivered with some genuinely really great voice acting and you can really see the love that everyone who worked on this game put in. So what about gameplay?
Inkbound offers you a selection of classes, each of which supply you with three basic abilities and a passive skill. Over the course of the run you will upgrade these abilities in smaller and larger ways and find some generic skills that each class can acquire. Add to that an item system where you basically have a small inventory of things that have passive abilities but are also each part of a set or family, like physical attack or improving the currency (Kwillings). Quite a lot to consider!
In combat you will move around your character to position them so you can line up your attacks and ideally evade those aimed at you. You have a limited amount of energy to use your abilities so more often than not each individual turn is its own little puzzle. You move from combat to non-combat encounters until you end up in a boss fight. Beat them to go to the next region. Each run consists of two regular regions and one very short boss region, so said runs don't overstay their welcome.
With all that said, I would recommend Inkbound to everybody who likes tactical combat with a focus on positioning, but also those who enjoy roguelites who do something else than deckbuilding, isometric action or the bullet heaven style.

Have I sunk many hours into this game? Yes. Am I going to continue playing it? Almost certainly. Can I "recommend" it? No. Firstly, the only thing keeping me playing this game is having a friend to play with. I would not enjoy this game solo. Secondly, there is no real plot - the one that is there requires you to piecemeal conversations from various NPCs and if it's been a few days/weeks since you played, there's no real chance to get "caught up" to what's happening plot wise.
It's fun. There's something here. But thirty dollars? Absolutely not.
J'étais assez sceptique de base sur le jeu , j'ai même faillit me faire rembourser car je trouve que le jeu n'est pas assez bien expliquer au départ et qu'on comprend pas trop la différence entre évolution/vestige , et tout ces noms Bizarre qui n'ont aucun sens lol .
Mais en s'accrochant un peu et a en acceptant de prendre le temps pour mieux comprendre les mécaniques et les effets : il s'avère que ce jeu est bien sympa , avec pas mal de stratégie , autant dans ces pouvoirs , ces choix de rajouts de pouvoirs, ces évolutions de pouvoirs, les objets qui apporte des bonus divers , le fait de les détruire pour choper du bonus permanent , les potions et consommable à utiliser au bon moment .
En plus de cela il y a la maitrise de ces déplacements ( représenter par un cercle de déplacement ) qui se consomme quand nous entamons une action . Réussir à faire mal et être efficace, tout en pouvant sortir de la zone d'action de l'ennemi .
On ajoute a cela des ennemis qui ont des coups directes et des coups par zone , puis tout les éléments des ennemis en passif ( exemple se tourner vers vous lorsque reçoit des dégats ect ... )
On en ressort avec un jeu très agréable , assez frais dans ces mécaniques et assez intriguant par ce côté construction de build , ces différentes classes , et tenter d'arriver au bout de sa Run .
Je pense que mon achat lors des soldes Steam était du coup un bon "move" , car le jeu est assez cool , même si le prix de base est un peu trop haut surtout sachant que le jeu ne recevra plus de mise à jour n'ayant pas atteint le quota de ventes escomptés .
Cela ne veut pas dire néanmoins que le jeu n'est pas complet , pour l'instant j'ai lancé que du solo , mais qui sait , peut-être un jour je ferais du multi 2/3/4 joueurs , la stratégie doit en être encore plus folle .
Si le jeu est noté " très positif " il y a bien une raison , mais malheureusement pour le jeu une raison qui ne peut être affirmer qu'une fois le jeu en main , il est difficile de réussir a vendre le jeu les yeux fermés sur un trailer , car le concept est difficilement explicable

I'm really enjoying it, it's like Slay The Spire game loop, world of warcraft art style, ui, and character creation, with Divinity Original Sin combat, not to mention the graphics and voice acting is S tier. It's like they made this game just for me. Amazing.

Сложно сказать в чем проблема, но такое ощущение, что сервера недоступны. В обсуждениях пишут о возможном отключении серверов, но не могу подтвердить так ли это. Возможно все дело в местном регулировании, поэтому если вы планируете играть в кооперативе, то возможно вам это не удастся в связи с выше описанной проблемы. В режиме офлайн можно играть только в соло.

it's a game
After playing games like slay the spire, TFT and shape of dreams, something about Inkbound's mechanics made it extremely interesting and unique.
Its not as RNG as many other roguelikes, and there are many viable build routes.
Characters are all unique and interesting with high skill ceilings.
The feel of the game along with the art design is spot on. Its a really well thought game but feels like it could and should have been more.
The issue is that theres not many ppl playing it anymore.
However, 7 bucks after discount to play with ur roguelike party is still worth the many sessions.
Probably about a minimum of 60 hours worth of enjoyment here, and this game's mechanics of movement management and positioning will likely be present in other "turn-based hybrids" too like Baldurs Gate 3.

Reading "Turn-Based" scared me, but I faced my fears today.
This game is sick.
ターン制ローグライク＋戦略SLGのようなゲーム。マルチは未プレイですが、オススメです。
キャラごとに3つの固有スキル＋後付けする2つのスキルと、道中で獲得する7つまでのレリックを組み合わせてビルドを構築します。
バトルマップ上でキャラの位置を調整しながら限られたマナで範囲スキルの当て方やコンボを考えて、敵ターンの前に再度立ち位置を調整して攻撃をかいくぐって……と繰り返して勝利をめざします。
そして勝利したらビルドを考えながら進めていくという、ゲームの肝の部分はオーソドックスなローグライクです。
が、一部UIに直感的ではない部分があるのでその点を指摘したいと思います。
・ボス撃破でいわゆるアセンションが自動的に上がり勝手に難しくなる。難易度の変更手順が不明確な点
⇒インクダイブ左手にある『インクダイブのランク』でランクを変更してからインクダイブする
・ストーリーを進めてもレリックのアンロックが自動ではない点
⇒ログブック＜進行度 と進んで小さく表示されているレリックなどを開放する必要がある
自分は難易度が勝手に上がっていき、かつ「レリックが代わり映えしないな？」と手詰まりを感じ、色々いじっていて上記2点に気づきました。ゲーム内に操作説明やスキル効果をまとめたマニュアルページがない中で、上記2点はこのジャンルのゲームとしては不親切なシステムだと感じました。
一度覚えてしまえばワケはないにしても、「レベル25到達」実績達成者が全体の35％未満らしいこともあり、こうしたUIの瑕疵に原因の一部があるのではないかと危惧した次第です。

・スキルはそれぞれ3つの強化と1回の進化が可能
・レリックの数は多岐に渡りシナジーも豊富
と、ローグライクとしてリプレイ性は十分かと。レリックの分解という独自要素も戦略に幅がもてて◎
こうしたゲーム性で協力プレイができるというのも貴重でしょう。協力プレイ要素のおかげかキャラは髪型や顔の模様、色、装備などカスタマイズ性も高いです。
インク（≒書物）に関するお話ということで、テキストも表現豊かで丁寧に世界観が構築されている印象です。
発展性がありそうなのにアプデの終了がアナウンスされているのが惜しいですね。

It's abandoned and buggy, but hopefully the game's code gets bought by someone and the game get's fixed and re-released.
Picked this up because the tactical strategy and art style intriged me. Turns out to be a hidden gem. Definitely pick this up.
Good game
I think the game is cool, played it exclusivley in 2 player coop. This game does many things right. Colorful characters, different classes, relics, upgrades, roguelike stuff as it is supposed to be. I think what this game suffers from is, that the developers also made Monster Train. The thing is, Monster Train needs you to go more and more strong/extreme. The only thing that really felt incredibly strong in Inkbound yet though, was one plant skill which trivialized every encounter. And to get it is not guareanteed. The other skills/relics all feel kinda ok/kinda nice but in the end nothing feels particularly necessary. There aren't that many great synergies that feel awesome. Winning a run with a plant was fun but was somewhat trivial and without it it feels sometimes I just don't really know what else could be missing. It can't only be the plant after all. It just isn't as quick to play or the power levels as fast growing as I want them too, after I played Monster Train 1 and 2. Which is a me-problem. I still think it really is a cool game and think more people should try it at least.
Also important to note that this game unfortunately won't be getting really anything, as it just didn't sell that well. There was a lot of promise here, sometimes it just doesn't work out.
I like the game a lot.
It's a bit sad that it didnt pan out for them well enough fiscally for them to build on it further, but I feel that it's got plenty of content to make it worth the price tag. It's a great time if you have friends to play it with, especially if they're strategically minded, and build construction becomes a lot of fun when you can get a reward you know is perfect for a friend's build and hand it to them.
The game itself can be fun, but there are constant connection issues with online co-op. One person drops after we start the game. This happens a majority of the time and it's up to the users to guess how to fix it.
Even if the connection issues are difficult to address, it feels like more testing could be done with how the UI interacts with said issues. For example, why does opening the invite menu give me outdated information (yes there's a refresh button but couldn't it refresh on its own upon being opened)?

I played this with two friends over a few days. Multiplayer is handled by their server and it's BAD. There are three servers for this game: NA, Asia, and Europe servers. We live in NA but none of us could connect to the NA server on any of the days we played. So we were forced to play on a further server with high latency.
Furthermore, when starting a game I would frequently get disconnected by the server and we would have to keep retrying until the server decided I could play.
Getting disconnected also seems to mess up their party system because in some cases it would show we were in a party for some of us but not to another.
I do not recommend this if you want to play it for multiplayer.

I'm gamedev myself, and that's what I think
I usually don't like referring to other games, but in this review I would mention a couple, since Inkbound is an amalgam of different games.
[h1]Worth highlighting (what is unique) [/h1][hr][/hr]
* Turn-based, but uses real units (meters) instead of cells. The same goes for spells—for instance, you target everything within a circle of some radius. It's not that unique (for instance, it's similar to Pathfinder: Kingmaker's turn-based mode), yet it's rare and cool
* Visuals & characters. I absolutely love this whole ink theme. Additionally, Nib and Bin's (story characters) character design is amazing
* Some classes.
1) Weaver (thread master)—You attach enemies to yourself using threads and manipulate attached enemies.
2) Clairvoyant (sphere master)—You manipulate your sphere, dealing damage along its movement or around it. I especially like that abilities have unlimited range (spells are relative to the sphere, not your character).
* Sets. There are sets like in autobattlers (TFT, for instance). As an example, if you collect 3 of a type, you get a minor bonus; 5 of a type, a medium bonus; and 7 of a type, a huge bonus. Additionally, you can destroy an item to permanently get its sets. Not unique, but an interesting use outside of autobattlers.

The first impression was rock solid. The visuals, the gameplay. Everything was peak. After, like, 5 hours, I understood that the game has close to no content.
* Boons (items) are pretty boring. Not that many items/sets synergies, nor are synergies fascinating; very few synergies exist between spells
* Upgrades for spells (you can put up to 3 upgrades on spells)—also boring. Ok, you add +60 damage to the spell, and what? How is it making gameplay more exciting? You can mutate ability (change its behavior), but the change is insignificant.
* Universal spells. In addition to fixed spells, you can pick 2 from universal ones. And these spells are boring as well :D There are not that many of them at all
* Classes. Despite there being 2 cool classes, the others are very boring (close to no difference in gameplay)
By the way, there is a game called “Rabbit and Steel” with pretty similar spell mutations, but they're done way better and actually change gameplay, synergize with each other, and it's fun to try different builds. But in Inkbound, it's a plain increase to damage most of the time.
I could write way more, but overall, it's simply not finished. The foundation and ideas are great, but they left them in a pretty raw state. Inkbound looks very promising, but considering that the game is abandoned, sadly there would be no fixes, and so I don't recommend it. You can play only if you don't mind 10 hours of gameplay. The first 10 hours are good.

The core of the game is very good, I wish they would have continued adding content because I think it has an excellent structure and a lot of potential, but my friends and I have happily played this once a week for months and are having a great time - strongly recommend!
Very fun to play! Especially with friends. Learning different characters can take a minute.
This little guy has everything: plenty of replayability, high skill ceiling, fun challenges, great multiplayer, and it doesn't shove DLC or in-game-purchases down your throat.
There's enough combinations of characters, modifiers, locations, etc., to give you an interesting run every time. You can play fairly fast and just match pictures, or you can spend 20 minutes on a turn doing the math. The time for a vibrant community has kinda passed, but it's still very fun solo/duo.
Don't ask me about the story... I skipped all the dialogue.

Doesn't seem to have a meta progression, maybe I didn't reach that spot. But I wasn't having fun getting seemingly weaker as I leveled up.
Really good game. Combat system is pretty unique, lots of replay value with the different characters. Has a coop that feels pretty balanced.
Unfortunately, the devs basically abandoned the game immediately after release. The game is complete enough that you can get a lot of fun out of it, but I don't know if I'd recommend picking it up at full cost, and you should purchase it with the knowledge that it's never getting another update.

Lovely visuals, confusing story, endless, pointless grind. After 20 hours and 200 nearly identical fights, I started sympathising with the enemy, at least they get to die. Game no longer developed (MT2).

Very fun game, abandoned in a poor state.
Finally, a rogue-like done correctly! Each run creates progression on various quests, and you're never really "resetting" your progress between runs. The unlocks are fun, the classes are truly distinct, and there are dozens upon dozens of builds to try out along the way. The gorgeous graphics don't hurt, either.
One of the best games ever, just wish they added an endless mode...
Excellent game, there are still a few bugs here and there but nothing that truly breaks the game, the story is engaging and has real length and depth to it, if you enjoy this style of game then I think you will get more than your moneys worth from it, personally this was absolutely worth it and I enjoyed my time with it so far!
I always appreciate a game with good controller support and this certainly has that. It's not really my type of game, but I have fun playing with my friends. The turn-based combat in a 3D space is interesting and the roguelite elements keep each run fresh. I did run into some graphical issues on my older hardware, but for the most part, it runs perfectly fine.
It's Slay the spire with the combat zones of neptunia. Enjoying it a lot.

Not really much to the game unfortunately. Can pretty much finish everything in 10-20 h of game play. It barely changed from the early access
It's honestly not the worst game, it's just not what I wanted or what I hoped for.
There's no upward progression, only stacking negatives that make your runs harder.
You never get stronger, you just unlock lateral level powers that either interact with different mechanics, or with other powers differently.
All power gains are map exclusive only and I just personally find that really boring and bland.
Imo these kind of roguelites just get boring near instantly. If there never feels like there is power gain through progression, simply what is the point?
Making things harder for ourselves is a really boring way to add longevity and "replayability" to a game. It makes the story boring and illogical, it makes the idea of us actually learning or improving non existent.
Tons of combinations and replayebility. I wish devs game it a bit more attention and content updates, but i guess they moved on to Monster Train 2
