Infra is an atmospheric and completely non-violent first-person puzzle/adventure that deals with the issues of deteriorating infrastructure. The player controls an ordinary structural analyst through abandoned factories, forgotten tunnels and unsafe buildings in a dangerous, crumbling industrial city and its surrounding rural areas. Along the way, the player will be taking photos of structural weaknesses, solving environmental puzzles and unravelling a thought-provoking story centered around corruption and deception.

I had to use a walk though 80% of the time to progress. I had to use cheats a couple of times. I barely got any achievements. I put the game down for months because of the raft area. Despite all this I love this game! Buy it and prepare for an amazing adventure.

This one was a doozy and one that I want to encourage everyone to play, but which I know that many people wouldn't really be able to appreciate. Let me be frank, the game is janky. Not in the sense that it's buggy, but in the sense that they're trying to do something kinda weird and sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't. The pacing can be a little bit unsteady, there are some puzzles that are bizarre solutions, and its easy to miss content due to the way the environment and exploration is setup.

But despite all of that, this game was something incredible. The ambiance of the setting is superb, whether you're dealing with old cave systems, modern infrastructure, or old dilapidated industrial complexes. I really can't sing the praise of how well down the atmosphere is.

The game is labeled a walking simulator, and while that's not a totally incorrect assessment, I'd call it much closer to an adventure exploration game. You a Mark, a poor unlucky bastard who gets trapped in the work day from hell. You were just supposed to go inspect some infrastructure and document maintenance work that needed to occur. Unlucky for you, decades of neglect, government/corporate corruption, and some good ol' fashioned citizen led chaos have come to collect their due.

It took me over 30 hours to complete my first blind playthrough. This game is LONG. But if you're looking for something novel, something you probably haven't seen or played something like before? Buy this.

Alors, Infra, ça fait un moment que j'avais vu passer ce titre et finalement j'ai fini par me l'acheter des années après et ce fût une bonne surprise.

Etant un fan d'Half life et des univers industriels j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisirs à traverser station de pompages et autres usines, les graphismes m'ont agréablement surpris à certain endroit notamment lors de panorama.

Un vrais scénario se met en place au fur et à mesure que l'aventure suis son cours et on va de révélation en révélation, la curiosité est bien souvent récompensé par quelque chose à trouver.

Le principe fonctionne très bien dans les couloirs et lieu clos, beaucoup moins dans les espaces ouverts type ville où, pour moi en tout cas, ça été de vrais moments chiants de devoir se retrouver face à une myriades de portes fermées et courir partout comme une poule sans tête.

Niveau gameplay, les puzzles sont amusants la plupart du temps, certains trop simples et d'autres où j'ai du simplement regarder une soluce, certaines solutions ou passages sont vraiment très vicieux, je suppose que c'est de bonne guerre.

La rejouabilitée est très bonne tellement il y a beaucoups de secrets à découvrir.
J'ai eu des crashs à répétitions dans les zones ouvertes, en fin d'aventure.

En conclusion je recommande INFRA pour son dépaysement dans l'univers vidéo-ludique, si vous êtes fan d'environnements industriels pareil foncez, au pire il y a toujours des soluces sur le net.

I really enjoyed INFRA as a slow, methodical exploration and puzzle game with a grounded sense of tension. The world is built around decaying infrastructure, and the atmosphere comes more from creaking beams and sparking electronics than anything resembling horror—there are no monsters, just the occasional falling ceiling tile to keep you alert. The puzzles fall into two types: mechanism puzzles that grow more complex as you go, and access puzzles that reward thorough exploration with lore, batteries, and optional areas. Everything felt fair, and I never needed a guide on my first playthrough, though completionists will likely want one. The environments start with natural and industrial spaces that encourage relaxed exploration, then shift toward darker, more urban areas later in the day as power failures and nightfall push you into heavier flashlight use. Movement works well enough, though parkour‑heavy sections can feel clunky, and I saved often to avoid losing progress when backtracking became impossible after collapses or progression triggers. Performance was stable once I set the memory size to Low—Medium and High caused crashes, and the game doesn’t explain the difference, but I noticed no visual downgrade on Low. Despite some rough edges, the overall experience was long, atmospheric, and rewarding; my first run took 36.5 hours, and I’m already considering a replay to find missed areas. I played with a controller without issue and came away impressed by how much the game accomplishes through exploration and environmental storytelling alone.

As a matter of policy, I don't like to write negative reviews. I really don't. I recognize the effort it takes to make a game. I'm not really keen on hurting any developer's feelings either, as a matter of general policy.

However, this game has done a few things I found unpleasant, ranging from poor design decisions to outright inexecusability.

Right off the bat, the game tampered with my microphone volume, without notifying me. It's a nice microphone, I picked it because it works well with my tone, and to be suddenly sounding like an amateurish screamer with a five dollar mic won from a claw machine was... unpleasant, to say the least.

Every time I launched the game, it cranked the settings. There are no audio settings to prevent this from happening.

The rest of the game was nonsensical, exchanging realism for bizarre "video game rule" challenges. Like an office maze where the key obstacle was three gossipers would not get out of the way no matter how much I violated their personal space.

Having to go on a scavenger hunt to find batteries for my camera was a bridge too far. To be fair, the volume tampering should have been the bridge too far. But I try to be forgiving when I can.

It's a pity, because this game was promissing a lot and came reccomended, but what it gave me felt something closer to an amateur-made text-based adventure game from 1986. In fact, my wife and I were riffing on that mid-stream.

Ah well. Better luck next time.

This game not only holds up graphics-wise, but also (for the most part) gameplay-wise. Sure, the early chapters are a bit, rough to say the least, but the later chapters are worth the slight hassle. And even with it's problems, its gameplay still constantly finds a way to stay fresh with every new area, and satisfying with every photograph. Not to mention the puzzles, though tricky, remain fun throughout. And the story and worldbuilding are so expertly done that by chapter 2 you're hooked. And throughout the game keeps your anticipation of what happens next with every turn, keeping your mind spinning. And if you're still craving for more Stalburg content, there's plenty in store and plenty to pick from with LOISTE's other in-development game "OBENSEUER" or "OPEN SEWER" which is an RPG style game where you run your own apartment while surviving the lowly district. Overall, I would still definitely suggest giving INFRA a playthrough, despite its age.

Infra is a urban exploration game, mixed with surviving the environment around you.
You play as Markku, a structural analyst and engineer, who is tasked to survey the Hammer Valley Dam, and surrounding area. You take pictures of structural damages and along the way documents too. As you play further along you uncover a (spoilers from here) corruption scandal that is deeply infested itself with the entirety of the Stalburg government.

The game does at times drag on, but if you can appreciate the environmental aspects of the game, as well as have a genuine interest in the story and puzzles, you will likely enjoy Infra.
If the story interests you a lot, definitely watch some lore videos and checkout the Stalburg wiki to learn more about it.

Some more gripes I have is:
- No inventory system, makes bringing items across levels cumbersome (this is not required but does make experimenting more cumbersome).
- No level select for specific levels in a chapter, alongside softlocks that can only be fixed by loading an earlier save, or redoing that chapter.
- No way to view what objectives you have left to complete in a level. This makes checking what documents and places of interest remain in a level hard, making it hard to complete a 100% run, or get different endings.
- To add on that, a way to view documents found and view what pictures you've took would be nice, especially for piecing lore together.
- No hints, whilst most puzzles in the game explain themselves for the most part, some puzzles were not so clear and may require a tutorial to complete. Some basic hints (outside of those found on notes) would help reduce frustration.

Infra is an experience, and for that one particular kind of nerd, Infra will really resonate with.

In Infra are placed in the world of Stalburg, a city teetering on the brink of storm fueled by greed, apathy and decay.
As an analyst named Mark, you are initially tasked with inspecting a hydro dam and a water tunnel, but there's a lot more in store for Mark than just those two places.

The type of game that is Infra is a classic walking simulator, it's a linear experience that takes you from industrial setting to other industrial settings; variety is here, from an abandoned steel plant to multiple water treatment plants, some power plants and lots of underground stuff. Puzzles make up the main challenge, most of these become familiar but there are certainly some novel puzzles and the occasional high tension, timed challenged puzzles that force you to act fast before you become a statistic to societal apathy. The main aspect of puzzles usually involve finding stuff, and flipping certain switches or valves.

Puzzles set the pace, they restrict you from progressing, on-top of that your job is documenting the instances of dis-repair with a point and shoot camera that eats batteries like competitive eaters glob down some hot dogs. Game play mechanics include managing your flash light batteries and camera batteries. Fortunately there is a lot of batteries to be found, being frugal with the flashlight negates the experience, especially in later levels which are so very dark. If so inclined there is an easy way to modify one of the game file (Config files) to modify this.

As I mentioned, this game will resonate for some. The world is rendered well, with a wide variety of industrial set pieces. The settings I found really stand out and feel authentic, a mixture of old and newer stuff. It rewards curiosity and exploration and players who like details, there's an abundance of little details that help fill out the lore of the game.

There is a story, but it's light. It could be better served by having a plain text reader for written documents - some in game documents can be hard to read. Also, Mark is a solitude person and the world is absent of other folks, more unique monologuing would help bring out the story, and be prepared to hear the same following phrases ad nauseam "That's not good", "Someone should fix this" etc.

It took me about 30 hours on a reasonable curious play through to beat the game, so don't expect a quick in and out. I also managed to miss a lot, and I thought I was being careful.
If a walking sim, themed in light industrial horror seems appealing this game will be for you, it will also make you never trust another elevator.

В нашей стране этим занимаются инспекторы различных надзорных организаций, но в игре INFRA эту роль нам придется взять на себя, ведь в вымышленном городе Стальбург коррупция чиновников вышла на запредельный уровень и уже даже народные протесты не могут заставить власть взять себя в руки. Все буквально трещит по швам, но все упорно делают вид что ничего не происходит. Что же может сделать обычный офисный клерк? Ответ прост - ответственно выполнять свою работу.

Обычный день на работе для главного героя игры по имени Маркку Силтанен всегда начинался одинаково и эта рутина убивала в нем вкус к жизни. Единственное что не страдало от ежедневных планерок, так это его чувство юмора, которое он не упускал возможность демонстрировать окружающим. В тот день, 8 августа 2016 года, Марк в который раз устало смотрел в потолок откинувшись в кресле, пока его начальник монотонным голосом зачитывал данные исследований и отчеты о проделанной работе. За окном был солнечный август. По голубому небу лениво плыли облака, полноводные реки обдавали прохладой любого кто осмелится к ним подойти, а в воздухе пахло ранней осенью. Несмотря на то что солнце еще активно прогревало землю, листья на многих деревьях давно потеряли привлекательный зеленый цвет и начали медленно темнеть. В Скандинавии лето это всегда роскошь и люди давно научились ценить редкие солнечные дни между неделями затяжных дождей и холода. В тот день Марк отдал бы многое, чтобы сбежать из офиса в этот чудесный мир за окном и провести остаток дня с банкой пива на каком-нибудь безлюдном пирсе, наблюдая за закатом и греясь в последних лучах уходящего за горизонт солнца. Тогда наш герой еще не знал что некоторые желания имеют свойство сбываться, а его день на свежем воздухе превратится в кошмар, который на долгие годы поселится в его памяти. 8 августа 2016 года началось падение Стальбурга и именно Марку было суждено оказаться в первых рядах на этом киносеансе.

INFRA это симулятор ходьбы, но вместе с этим квест до мозга костей. Вы и представить себе не можете насколько много деталей хранит в себе эта игра и как глубоко комьюнити смогло забраться в поисках секретов Стальбурга, которые разработчики не оставили на поверхности. Я бы сказал что INFRA это самое настоящее ARG в рамках виртуального мира, где секреты часто спрятаны за ближайшим углом, но далеко не каждый игрок догадается за него заглянуть. В основе игры лежит решение головоломок и фиксация различных повреждений или аномалий на свой фотоаппарат. За время нашей "инспекции" мы пройдем через множество мрачных мест, вроде городских катакомб, отравленной канализации, обрушенных коридоров фабрик и даже мест обитания городских маргиналов. Естественно Марк не может носить с собой какое-либо оружие, а значит защитить себя мы не сможем. Впрочем за всю игру мы так и не встретим ни единой живой души, но это не помешает нам пережить много стрессовых ситуаций, где главным врагом выступают не агрессивные люди, а масштабные разрушения, природные катастрофы и критические повреждения инфраструктуры. Стальбург действительно висит на волоске от техногенной катастрофы и мы сможем убедиться в этом на собственной шкуре. Фиксировать все повреждения инфраструктуры необязательно, ведь это достачно непросто из-за их умелого вписывания в окружение (и огромного количества), но это выступит критическим фактором в финале. Если вы действительно хотите спасти жителей Стальбурга от ужасной участи, то вам придется изрядно попотеть.

Конечно в игре 2016 года про бесконечное ползание по канализации и подземельям сказать что-то о пейзажах достаточно сложно, но авторы INFRA смогли выжать из движка Source все возможные ресурсы, чтобы сделать приключение игрока действительно интересным. Все локации максимально детализированы, имеют свою разрушаемость и обладают большим количеством деталей, которые интересно искать и разглядывать. Забавно, но локации настолько проработаны и связаны между собой, что во время прохождения игры можно буквально нарисовать карту Стальбурга и она будет логически верна. Переписки работников по почте, газетные статьи, магнитофонные записи и даже граффити - здесь все имеет смысл и прекрасно вписывается в единый целостный сюжет, который ты сам собираешь по кусочкам. Если поначалу все ограничивается коррупцией и письмами с попытками шантажа, то потом глубины Стальбурга откроются нам с новой стороны и в документах появятся упоминания "Подземного Правосудия", секты поклоняющейся гильотине, токсичных грибов, которые облюбовали наркоманы, массовой казни обычных гражданских лиц, которые оказались не в том месте и не в то время и даже некого существа по имени Mörkö, которое забирает во тьму людей, решивших погулять по катакомбам. Безусловно INFRA это личностное приключение, где на нашем пути мы не встретим ни единой души, но благодаря умелой работе левел-дизайнеров прогулки по клаустрофобным коридорам и заброшкам будут постоянно создавать ощущение дискомфорта и постоянное присутствие чего-то незримого у нас за спиной. Быть может это просто наша фантазия, а может "Подземное Правосудие" и правда наблюдает за каждым нашим шагом...

Я бы назвал INFRA самым настоящим игровым монолитом, который требует к себе внимания и собранности. Эту игру не нужно спидранить или пытаться с закрытыми глазами решать головоломки в случайном порядке, ведь здесь буквально каждое неверное решение может уничтожить город вместе со всеми его жителями. Разбили окно? Получите штраф. Повернули не тот вентиль? Накрылась подача питьевой воды. Не обратили внимание на трещину в стене? Поздравляю, вы в опасности. Для INFRA необходим вдумчивый подход, где вы на протяжении 50+ часов постепенно перевариваете полученную информацию и искренне наслаждаетесь от прогулок по катакомбам и техническим сетям Стальбурга. Ну и конечно же только наша внимательность позволит Марку успешно завершить свою смену, ведь способов умереть в игре великое множество и иногда смерть может поджидать там где ее не ждешь. Если вы фанат игр на Source с ее физикой и построением мира, любите сложные запутанные сюжеты с неожиданными поворотами и достаточно терпеливы чтобы отсидеть 50 часов перед монитором ради хорошей концовки, то INFRA станет для вас тем самым долгожданным приключением всей жизни, которое вы так долго откладывали. Уникальная в своем роде игра, которая определенно требует больше внимания со стороны игрового сообщества и hidden gem давно ушедшей эпохи инди-релизов.

Infra is an odd game, one that struck on a very specific niche of elements.
- It's built on the Source engine, and utilizes it both in level structure and aesthetics.
- It's an urban exploration game that has you photographing the decaying INFRAstructure of its fictional Scandinavian city.
- It has an incredibly rich amount of world building, ranging from a historic timeline of corrupt business scandals that directly led to the decaying state of the city; to urban myths about a creature named Mörkö, mysterious green mushrooms, and an underground cult/organization that's linked to an "otherside".

And it's in these above three elements that this game absolutely flourishes. As a "walking sim", it's by far the best I've ever played. An insane amount of atmosphere in all the levels, just pure commitment to capturing the feeling of walking behind the scenes of a city. Through the locked service tunnels, into the abandoned steel mills, navigating out of the OpenSewer poverty district. On paper, that might sound boring, but in practice, Infra pulls this off by mixing in a healthy layer of grime and conspiracy in all these locations. Little environmental stories of laid off workers making homes in the cracks of concrete and dirt. Glowing mushrooms that prop up out of the soil and the heads of the dead. Secret plots of murder between business moguls, and their ties to a military coverup. It is rich with sights, sounds and world.
And no, its puzzles aren't too great, ranging from finding fuses to pipe-flow puzzles. And sometimes you might just get lost and wander around. But it's the commitment to these immersive urban exploration elements, the layering of that into a tangible world, and the aesthetic rendering in what is one of the best looking Source engine games you'll find; that makes it a personal favourite of mine. I can understand others bouncing off of this, but thankfully this medium of video gaming is big enough that gems like this can exist for the niche of people that might ♥♥♥♥ with it.

And side not, that survival immersive sim follow-up that Loiste Interactive is cooking up is coming along pretty nicely too!

INFRA is to urban exploration as Tomb Raider is to archaeology, minus the combat. Hear me out.

Tomb Raider is an exaggerated, glorified, heroic almost-parody of archaeology. You explore ancient abandoned places, tinkering with contraption while recovering artifacts and uncovering secrets and conspiracies on the way. You visit awe-inspiring locations that are just waiting for you, the player, to crack them open.

INFRA does something very similar but in a context of urban exploration and, thematically, safety inspection. You're thrown into these massive maps as a normal dude, and you're tasked with navigating them and finding any security or structural problems with them, documenting each with your camera. It's not strictly an action game though (even though it has action sequences) and instead plays like a walking sim, or an FPS without guns, or the puzzle sections in Half Life 2.

However, these places are all derelict, nigh-abandoned, and in an only barely functional state. And they are huge maps, labyrinthine, full of loops and dead ends. In order to explore these sprawling locations—most of which are indoors or underground, like tunnels, industrial buildings, warehouses, but some are partly outdoors as well—you'll have to find long-forgotten breakers and flip them on, hoping they'll power the electric lock you need. Crawl through a vent, enter the security office and get keys, more often than not unlabeled, to a door somewhere inside of the facility. Close and open valves to drain water or redirect steam and open the way. Finding a map of these structures is very rare, and when you do find one, it's always of the facility in its prime, not in its current state of decay, so get used to creating mental maps of your own. You'll find dozens of doors you can't open... or can you? Maybe you just missed the key on a table somewhere.

The likeness to Tomb Raider also comes in the increasingly dangerous situations you'll find yourself in, the kind that most safety inspectors will never encounter once in their entire careers, and yet you constantly bump into in a single day... But that's the thrill of it. You're here to see what's wrong (which happens to be a whole lot,) to fix what you can and patch what you can't, document it all, and move along without dying in the process. And so you walk around, trying not to get electrocuted or drowned or crushed or burned, taking pictures of everything suspicious while trying to open a way to the next location.

There's also a story about how the city got to this sorry state where everything is breaking apart. I was honestly in just for the puzzles, exploration, and vibes, so I didn't pay too much attention to it, but there's a lot of care put into it. The humor, while cheesy at times, is perfectly in tune with the game as a whole, and it made me grin more than once. The inside jokes put their hooks in you fast and never let go.

Now, the game also turned 10 years old recently, which further increases the sense of exploring industrial hulks of steel and concrete. It really feels like being thrown into a series of wonderfully large and possibly half-finished Half Life 2 maps, and having to figure out what's what, how things work, by touching absolutely everything that's interactible. If anything, the years only did the game a favor by lending it an aesthetic that, nowadays, speaks the language of a nostalgic bygone era.

And it's amazing how well it all has aged. Sure, the controls feel a bit stiff, just the way Half Life 2 may nowadays; and a couple of the voice actors, while delivering a serviceable and charismatic performance, clearly have a first language that isn't English. But damn, did it manage to scratch an itch I didn't even know I had! Had it come out at a later date, it may have been called Security Inspection Simulator, in that it shares its laser-focused vision to deliver a specific experience and its self-aware exaggeration with that particular genre, including a bit of jank. There's a good amount of optional content (some locations are relatively easy to traverse, but harder to fully reactivate, with plenty of secret rooms and missable sub-areas) and all the damage/security pictures make for wonderful diegetic collectibles. I can see myself playing this again a few years down the line and exploring different paths, trying to find what I missed the first time around.

All in all, INFRA is a great exploration game, as well as a memorable adventure & puzzle game that gives you huge maps to unpack and unravel at leisure. I still can't wrap my head around how unique it is, and how I haven't played anything quite like it before.

The game is pretty long at 20h for a puzzle aficionado. This will feel extremely long for you if the game doesn't intersect with your favorite genres, but that was only a plus for me, as there was always MORE. And yet, even if you're on the fence, I think it's such a gem that it absolutely deserves a try, so give it a shot. INFRA is just that excellent. Very strong recommendation.

J'avais acheté INFRA à 29 euros pensant avoir trouvé LE jeu d'exploration avec des énigmes sympathiques selon les dires de nombreuses personnes, mais au final énormément déçu et frustré au bout de 3 heures de jeu.

Déjà le plus gros défaut du jeu : Il n'y a aucun tutoriel, aucun synopsis, rien du tout. On est lâché dans la peau d'un mec au boulot très imprécis, inspecteur de lieux abandonnés si j'ai bien compris.

L'histoire est assez bancale, sachant que certes j'ai pas de difficultés avec l'anglais, mais au minimum quand tu traduis les dialogues avec des sous-titres faudrait aussi afficher des sous-titres quand tu lis des feuilles ou des affiches (chose qui n'est donc pas le cas puisque toutes les affiches sont en anglais et parfois c'est en français sans aucune raison).

Le gameplay repose sur appuyer sur des boutons et tirer des leviers pour allumer ou éteindre des trucs, aucune idée de pourquoi on doit faire ça mais pourquoi pas, en plus souvent ça n'a aucun intérêt dans notre progression.
La lampe torche et la caméra doivent être rechargées avec des piles qu'on trouve dans la map, des genres de munitions déguisées. La lampe en elle-même sert à rien puisqu'on y voit dans les environnements sombres, mais quand-même elle dure à peine 1 minute et les piles doivent être changées.
La caméra, c'est le truc que j'ai le moins compris et pourtant de ce que j'ai compris le jeu veut qu'on s'en serve. Apparemment faut prendre en photo des anomalies qu'on trouve dans les lieux, je comprends l'intérêt mais par-contre va falloir m'expliquer où sont les anomalies, parce-que les lieux sont tous dans un état désastreux donc comment je suis supposé deviner ce qu'il faut prendre en photo ou non ? Puis honnêtement en 3 heures à aucun moment le jeu m'a puni ou empêcher de progresser parce-que je n'avais pris aucune photo, donc je vois pas bien l'intérêt au final.

Et les énigmes ? Bah faut vraiment les deviner, des fois t'es bloqué à tourner en rond et y a absolument aucun indice ni indication de ce que tu dois faire. Je suis bloqué dans cette ptn de grande map du barrage à tourner en rond autour de la scierie après avoir activé des trucs random censés ramener l'électricité, mais j'ai l'impression que le jeu est bugué parce-que y a absolument aucun changement par-rapport à quand je suis arrivé sur les lieux. En plus avec les sauvegardes automatiques qui te ramènent méga loin en arrière, puis la physique qui te tue parfois pour aucune raison. Et justement on y vient :

Je comprends pas l'intérêt d'avoir utilisé le moteur Source pour ce jeu, il est clairement pas adapté pour un jeu d'une si grosse ampleur. Déjà le jeu souffre de graphismes horriblement laids, même Half-Life 2 Episode Two est plus beau dans des environnements similaires. Là on a des vieux reflets en cubemap, le LOD-poping est très désagréable, le ciel a un horizon beaucoup trop haut, les sound-effects on dirait ça a été pris d'un site de sons gratuits (j'en ai reconnu certains de d'autres jeux, puis souvent y a pas d'effort c'est le même son pour plusieurs éléments donc ultra répétitif). Sans parler de la physique de Source qui est parfois douteuse, plusieurs fois je suis mort voire resté soft-lock à cause d'un bug. Limite le seul truc qui m'a amusé quand j'ai joué au jeu c'était de bunny-hop lors des allers-retours chiants.

Bref j'ai attendu des mois avant de jouer à INFRA afin vider ma liste de jeux à faire, donc forcément la possibilité de se faire rembourser est à présent impossible. 29 euros pour un jeu qui fait des fausses promesses, qui est atrocement ennuyant et qui souffre d'un moteur dépassé, très décevant et ça fait mal au porte monnaie.
De ce que j'ai vu le jeu dure 28 HEURES ??? J'ai fait à peine 3 heures et je suis déjà bloqué à cause soit d'une énigme bancale soit d'un bug. La suite ne m'intéresse pas.

This really is a gem of a videogame.
Amazing worldbuilding that perfectly captures Scandinavian/Finnish urban and industrial architecture and that forlorn feeling you get from existing in a place like that. The eerie, unique atmosphere is perfect and on occasions it can feel like a horror game, even though it is not. The Source engine usage adds onto the eeriness. It has a very intriguing story with so many layers that you have to uncover yourself.
It is important to point out that the game is pretty long and you get 0 hints for puzzles, besides actual documents that you have to read to figure out how to solve them. To some, that can be a bit repulsive or scary (you get a feeling that it is dragging on for too long), so checking some tutorials is not a big deal to push through this game for the story and atmosphere alone. Even after 4 replays, it feels like I missed something.

Overall, I went in expecting a walking simulator, but I found myself uncovering corruption and mysteries and untying knots all while witnessing the decline of Stalburg and trying my best to prevent it.

I got almost to the end (Ch9) but lost the desire to continue. The levels are massive and you have to run around quite a lot. If you value your time you will want the game to get on with it, but it never does. Also starting in chapter 8 the game began to crash frequently adding to my frustration.

The world is very well built and the puzzles can be thought out cleverly, but you end up doing much of the same thing repeatedly. Towards the end when you're running around the city and slums is when it bogged down very hard for me. With no inventory system to keep track of your items, you're asked to count change by recycling bottles. At that point I realized on my tenth bottle that I wasn't having fun anymore.

Fantastic game. I love these types of puzzle solving walking simulators. I bought the game after having watched a short Youtube video years ago, but I just expected it to be a simulator game with some simple puzzles. I had no idea how deep the story would go and just how complex the puzzles would be. I love the level design and how detail rich the world is. Clues scattered everywhere. Secrets tucked away in almost every path. I plan on re-playing from the start to catch all the stuff i missed when I wasn't paying enough attention. Very solid 9/10 from me.

I only wish the crashing would stop. Got to chapter 2 and now it's crashing on loads and saves sometimes. It's great though and worth fighting with it.

The developer(s) spent all of it's time in crafting the environment rather then polishing up the gameplay, and it shows.

In this game the story is primarily told through documents so obviously would be a great idea to add a place where you can read all the documents you have discovered, right? Apparently not, since this game lacks it. So you have to basically remember everything you read (if you care about the story, that is).

Every section of this game is too long and every "puzzle" is used times and times again. All of them boil down to: find the fuse/valve, find the code, throw the right lever or turn the right valve. I gave up at chapter 7 because the game became a chore. But the biggest flaw of the game is that there is no pause menu. Well, there is. but it does not pause the game. Which makes zero sense; in fact , to my knowledge there is no way to actually pause the game. Also, as the cherry on top, there is a camera and flashlight battery system. This system is completely, and i mean. completely useless.

In short, good enviroment but everything else is terrible. Don't waste 28€

Pretty good game if you like puzzles and the idea of documenting infrastructural damage in decrepit old buildings. The story its building up is interesting and the game absolutely nails its intended atmosphere. There are points where it feels too obtuse and I do use a guide, but its not too often where its a problem. Graphically I think it looks great, very reminiscent of Valve games and kind of reminds me of Skyrim. Overall, recommend.

While it has some great atmosphere, my fight for survival became trying to overcome the jarring and obtuse puzzles of operating various industrial plants. I'm sure that'll hit someone's niche, but unfortunately not me. There were apparently themes of corruption and a conspiracy happening somewhere in the story, but it was hard to follow with the character only able to express contempt for the abnormal things happening around him.

I don't know if I've ever written a review for a game on Steam, but I think this game deserves one. This game might not be for everyone, because it's not like it's action-packed or anything like that, but this game is absolutely for a certain type of person, and I'm one of those people. Imagine you're a person who lives and/or works in a big city, and while you're living your life, you routinely look around at various things and think to yourself, "it would be fun to explore THAT." This game delivers in terms of that type of urban exploration. It's very, very well designed. The graphics are super realistic, the sound design is top tier, the puzzles are excellent, I literally can't think of anything to say about this game in terms of constructive criticism as far as how I wish they would improve anything about it, it's really well made and designed and has been a pleasure to play. However, I eventually reached a game-breaking bug in Chapter 6, Map 2, Pitheath Metro Station. Unfortunately, I cannot go up the stairs at this location without my game crashing. I am going to start playing this developer's other game (Obenseuer) now and hopefully the aforementioned glitch will eventually get fixed. I have been thoroughly enjoying this game and am not sure why INFRA keeps crashing at this one particular juncture in my playthough, but I have sincere faith that the developers will fix this somehow eventually. This really is a work of art of a videogame and I can't believe I found out about it in 2026 yet it came out a decade ago.

I bought this game for $6.99 looking for a fairly interesting and intriguing story based experience and never really got it. The game tried to sell its narrative of betrayal and corporate scheming with notes and audio logs but...it doesn't really land its tone at all. The voice acting is flat or just awkwardly spoken. I found myself not wanting to keep reading notes or take pictures because I was more interested in just moving on.

Unfortunately voicelines are repeated every time you pick up an item or take a picture so you hear a lot of bad delivery over and over and over. The puzzles seemed fine, the environment seemed fine, the pacing seemed fine. It's generally not an offensive game but it could not sell me on it, even at a severely low price tag. I just don't want to keep playing and I'm happy to be done with it.

If you picked this game up and are planning on playing it for the first time, there is a simple change I recommend doing in order to make the game a little less frustrating:

1. Right click the game in your steam library, click 'Properties', then 'Installed files', then 'Browse'. This will take you to the games directory.

2. Open the 'infra' folder in your file explorer, then the 'cfg' folder, then open the 'Skill1.cfg' file using notepad.

3. Once you have the 'Skill1.cfg' file open, copy and paste the following over the current contents of the file:

sk_max_aa_batteries 1000 // 10 x 100 (10 full batteries)
sk_max_d_batteries 1000 // 10 x 100 (10 full batteries)

// taking a picture drains 2% of battery

What this will do is make it so that the batteries in your camera/flashlight last much longer. The base game (in my own opinion) does not do a great job giving enough batteries for your camera (as in sometimes you have too many flashlight batteries, but not enough camera batteries). This does not disable achievements and does not break anything in the game. Have fun! :D

É um jogo simples, básico, mas cativante e muito atmosférico, acho que pode ser considerado um "walking simulator", com seguimentos de terror, exploração e puzzles, feito na source engine, passa aquela vibe do half-life e garrys-mod, tem a pegada de "Urbex", exploração urbana, pois você percorre por diversas infraestruturas abandonadas e perigosas.
O jogo possui uma história bem interessante e que você precisa constantemente investigar o seu arredor por anotações, diálogos e gravações, emails e cartas.
Não sei se vale o preço no valor total, mas se vê-lo na promo, pegue, o jogo tem diversos finais dependendo do quão empenhado você for durante a gameplay (isto é, realizar ou não a função do protagonista de engenheiro analista de estruturas) então tem um certo nível de re-jogabilidade.

You'll know if this is for you if the premise sounds incredible: first-person puzzler in the style of Half Life 2 where you play as a civil engineer surveying urban decay. This game was clearly a labor of love -- there are so many beautiful tiny details and little side things to do. The environments are enormous, the spaces are breathtaking and haunting.
I do feel like it drags a bit in the middle third, and some of the puzzles are a bit obtuse, but I had a great time. And I know there are so many secrets I didn't even get to see. Really looking forward to whatever else this studio puts together.

A very puzzle heavy game, but the pieces are scattered all over your house in places like under your bed or on top of a shelf in a box while others are in the middle of the table or taped to the front of your TV. The exploration is fun, but you can hit a brick wall(actually) when you don't see a tiny object like a key or something that you can't see from certain angles.

And the story suffers with the weird puzzles you have to go through while being woefully unprepared for your job. Scour an abandoned steel factory for the way out while nearly blowing yourself up/causing a city destroying environmental catastrophe. "Yeah I just turned the flooded generators on in the cracked damn AND hooked it back up to the power grid :D" "Just caved in the water tunnels under the city :D". It feels like you aren't supposed to even try doing anything because it all ends in disaster most of the time, so you're stuck wondering if this is going to be another Tom and Jerry-esque puzzle where you blow up half the city or it's how you actually progress through to the next area.

All the while the main character says things along the lines of "I hope I don't have to do that again! Now back to work!" Great if you're roleplaying in an entire city of idiots and you're the mayor. It's kind of funny at first, then you just sort of feel bad. You basically break stuff and then take a picture of it. There's not much of a change in the puzzles either, just push buttons and move stuff around in bigger and bigger areas. You go from just small rooms to running between entire buildings to solve puzzles, same puzzles but they just waste more of your time while you search for what the next step is.

The game looks great, the atmosphere is almost unmatched. It feels bogged down by time wasting puzzles and a poor story, you're basically the unintentional villain destroying the city with incompetence.

Amazing story, beautiful visuals, well made, I encountered no bugs, fun gimmick, and a likeable main character! If you have enough for it and are looking for a good game that's decently long, definitely get!

Игра смогла дать то самое ощущение исследования и чего то нового как первые пройденные игры в детстве. Приятный геймплей и стиль самой игры, а так же простенькие но интересные головоломки держали интерес на постоянном высоком уровне. Из субъективных минусов, очень мало работают батарейки в фонарике и камере, в начале игры батареек прям очень мало, но наверно это один из способов погрузиться сильнее в игру и прочувствовать уровень упадка в коррумпированном городе. Во всём остальном игра стала одной из любимых в жанре.

It's a well written and well done game. If you like urban exploration, puzzles and industrial machinery pick it up. Only complaint is how much of the game is underground gets very frustrating at least to me.
